Best savory and sweet crepes we’ve ever had! We shared the buckwheat, smoked ham, Swiss cheese and asparagus with bechamel sauce. So much filling! For dessert, we had the banana with caramel sauce. Both incredibly delicious.
was super excited to hear there was a vegan crepe in quebec city, and it did not disappoint! i had the buckwheat crepe with strawberries and maple butter as well as a hot chocolate with soy milk, and it was an amazing meal. only wish that there was a separate vegan menu or markings because you have to ask! i wish i lived in quebec city so i could eat here more often. so good!
Some of the best crepes we have tasted! Felt a piece of France 🇫🇷 present in Quebec. Liked it so much, that we ate here twice 😉. The atmosphere the staff brings to this place is awesome! Invited us to come back. Well done team! Even when this is in a touristy street, the quality and presentation of all we ate was outstanding! Small place, perfect for a cozy stop, to enjoy coffee or a malt! Enjoy sitting there in a late evening watching the crepes production ☺️
On a rainy morning, we visited to Le Casse-Crepe Breton for a warm brunch. Sitting by the window, enjoying a meal while looking out at the tranquil streets of Quebec became one of the most memorable moments of our trip. The St. Ambroise IPA I had that morning tasted even better, perhaps because of the rainy weather. In contrast to the dampness outside, the inside was lively, and the sight and aroma of crepes being prepared in the open kitchen were more than enough to whet our appetite. The crepes were thin and soft, melting in the mouth with an impressive texture. If you visit Quebec, I highly recommend stopping by here to enjoy a morning IPA alongside their delicious crepes.
Tried both buckwheat savory and white flour sweet crapes. Both were so-so. Savory crepes didn’t have much taste, were pretty dry and flavorless. Sweet crepe was a bit chewy and rubbery. Drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing!
Our first taste of Quebec City was at this spectacular gem of a creperie! If you are researching on Google you already know that they have an order of magnitude more reviews than the closest next. They were packed on a rainy Monday early afternoon when we walked in. Thankfully the wait was only a few minutes until one of the tables opened up. We being the food afficionados that we are, ordered more than we should have - one of the savory crepes for each of us, and half the number of dessert crepes than people. In hindsight was maybe just a tiny touch too much but pretty much on point. In the savory I loved my smoked ham concoction. In the dessert ones I loved the custard filled butter crepe. An Aperol spritz and a Brazilian coffee sealed the late lunch!
Came here just to have some crepes as I was told that they are excellent. My thought - the crepes were a bit hard and chewy. But, they tasted excellent. The service was excellent and the staff are very nice. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is very clean.
Crepes was super delicious. Great customer service. We had an amazing place to sit! Right next to a window!! I tried savory crepe and a Carrot juice. I love it!!! We ordered hot chocolate and caramel lattes too. It was not too sweet I will definitely try again when I visit Quebe city again No free parking.
Fast, friendly service. Had the ham and asparagus savory crepe and the butter, sugar, and custard sweet crepe. Both were excellent!
Yummy in my tummy
A nice place for lunch or dinner
Nice cozy little restaurant was very happy to find this gem ! Definitely recommend if you re in old Quebec.
the waitress forgot to put out order in and we had to wait for 45 minutes after being told that our order would come in 10 minutes multiple times
Very simple and elegant crepe in Vieux Quebec. It will get a bit expensive if youre adding more toppings. Drinks are good too (hot chocolate, milkshake, alcoholic coffee). We ordered 1x sweet crepe (ice cream and strawberry) and 1x savory crepe (sausage, egg, tomato sauce). Really hospital staff.
Good breakfast with crepes and eggs poutine. Excellent service. Got a lot of food especially the eggs poutine
A warm and friendly restaurant, a nice place to stop for a bite to eat. Two downsides: a narrow place and a lack of support. The crepe is king on your plate.
Good food
It was nice. Good price, moderate quality. Fast turnover. Not an adventurous menu but not a bad thing.
Breton Crepes and they are delish!
Cute little crepe spot. I went with my girlfriend and had one sweet and one savoury crepe to share and they were both delicious and very filling!
Very good
Beautiful creperie, service was fantastic, drinks were great.
Average tasting crepe. Rather expensive. Definitely better places to go try crepes than this one. Service was OK.
Cute little crepe restaurant. Delicious crepes. Kid-friendliness: Had coloring books and crayons for the kids Food : 5/5 |
The crepes were tough and difficult to cut, and Ive made better crepes at home. The savory filling lacked flavor, and the sweet filling was disappointing as well.
Love the buckwheat crepes, lots of filling choices, sweet and savory. Dietary restrictions: Gf was not an issue Food : 5/5 |
This place doesn t take reservations and doesn t take names for a list. You will need to wait in line. Once in, the service and food is wonderful! They have both sweet and savory crepes. You can also build your own. They also had frappes/milkshakes and a great selection of coffee.
Come first thing when they open, no line. Greta food and service.
Was not the best food we had in Quebec. The crepes didn t have much taste, lacked flavour. The broccoli soup was more a porridge than a soup. The granny hot chocolate was good though ! Not the best experience :(
The meal crepes are delicious. The portion seemed small, but I was full after eating all of them.
Excellent crepes filled with ham, cheese and asparagus. Or filled with beef, mushrooms and cheese. The buckwheat crepe is hearty with a deep flavor. The white crepe is tender and delicious
The worst buckwheat crepe I have ever eaten: cardboard, little filling, despite an extra cost per ingredient of $3 + taxes and service.
What can I say... Delicious!! The wait is worth it! Sweet or savory, these pancakes are perfect!
Perfect, you deserve to be known. We stopped because we needed a hot chocolate, as a good Frenchman from France who was a little very cold at the end of the day at the beginning of winter. The chocolate was perfect, warmed us up. We are distributed full for a snack. If we come back before the end of our stay, we will be delighted to come back with our friends and children with great pleasure.
One of the best experiences in my Quebec - Montreal trip.
Nice restaurant but the service, quality and taste are not there. Price too high for the quality served. Extra maple syrup for a small quantity!!!
Magical!!! Coffee and food was amazing! Very clean bathrooms. Excellent location
Very disappointed, dont expect to be in a creperie like in Brittany. There is a big prospect of improvement, they dont even cook the onions, please put them in a pan with oil!
Very good crepe restaurant in Quebec. Very crispy which can be good for some and less pleasant for others because it can make the pancakes more difficult to cut. Ive seen some comments saying its dry and I believe thats what theyre referring to. The goat cheese pancakes were excellent and the milkshakes were very good too.
Excellent service. Divine food. They have a good selection of savoury & sweet crepes. Great coffee menu with alternative dairy free options. Vibe was down to earth, and relaxed. Beautiful building . Try and get a seat by the window.
A Tourist Trap As a visitor to Quebec, I was hoping for a delightful experience at Casse-Crêpe Breton, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The wait time was unacceptable over 30 minutes to get a single crêpe. When it finally arrived, it was more crêpe than ingredients, utterly tasteless, and lacking any appeal. What really sealed the deal for me was the lack of class: they even charge for mayonnaise! It felt cheap and unrefined, especially for a place that markets itself as authentic. If you re in Quebec City and considering a visit, I d recommend looking elsewhere. This place relies more on its location than the quality of its food.
We do not recommend this restaurant for lunch. The coffee served was lukewarm. I took a buckwheat pancake which I had difficulty cutting because it was very hard. I ordered my crepe with banana which I left on my plate because the banana slices were so ripe at a cost of $3.25 and a mini container of syrup at a cost of $1.95 is exaggerated. We have no problem paying for a good meal but this morning it was really not good and I skipped my partners lunch which was very ordinary. I have difficulty understanding how a cook can serve this food to a customer.
Great crepes. Went there 35 years ago and is still good
Beautiful building, friendly service, lots of variety on the menu, but the Breton Pannekoek was a bit dry.
They did not offer us a lunch menu and gave us the menu (marked as a tourist). The pancakes were tough.
Good food with good staff.
Very quaint place, service was excellent and fast. Food was to dye for.
A disaster! Buckwheat crepes are industrial, dry, ... the ingredients are added but not cooked. + a lack of professionalism in the management of the problem (the manager was not there)!
I wanted to try this restaurant, but the street being pedestrian, I couldnt park nearby....too bad the lack of parking prevents us from encouraging our restaurateurs.
Very tasty crepes & super friendly waiter
Dynamic and welcoming team where it is possible to eat well for less than 30CAD by making our crepe.
We had dinner this evening and it was catastrophic!!! Dry buckwheat pancake, thick, tasteless and barely stuffed (we didnt even eat half of our pancakes). I had the roast beef pancake which was actually from the Black Forest... The onions in the pancake are raw and cut into huge pieces: the cooks dont have time to cut the onions by hand and our machine works poorly These are pancakes! The cider was very good though. And the service was also good. When we told the waitress that it wasnt to our liking, she immediately offered to make the crepes again. But when the bill arrived, no discount, no apology. We heard the cook say it s French, 10%! . While we live here. We barely touched our plates and the kitchen was far from clean. Paid $100 for eating almost nothing, big SCAM! In short, very bad experience sprinkled with racism. We were disappointed...
Good food, however service could be improved. Our order was lost and we had to go out of our way to ask for coffee refills
Disappointed with this place. The crepes we tried were so hard, impossible to chew... Witnessed that team member dropped a container full of sliced strawberries, picked them from the floor, threw away But she didnt change the gloves, she touched the floor. She continued to organize sliced vegetables and fruits in refrigerator. To the management : Please pay more attention when you train the team, safe food handling and common sense is important.
Youthful environment made up of lively and kind girls. Excellent crepes in the center of Quebec City.
Cozy restaurant in old montreal. The crepes are a bit chewy but delightful. I ordered a crepe with chocolate syrup, strawberry and custard. The service was quick. The chocolate syrup was heavenly. Great experience!!
Food was good, fresh and reasonably priced. A small lineup, but not too long. I would recommend Le Caisse-Crepe Breton.
The only vegan option was the buckwheat crepe (not stated on menu that it s vegan) with fruit and maple syrup. It tasted pretty bland and wasn t anything special. Wouldn t recommend for people looking for a vegan crepe.
Were welcomed and they offered a cute coloring stuff for my kid. We had Crepes, coffee and beer. Everything was so tasty. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed.
Service was excellent. We had the ham/cheese omelette. Delicious. Hot chocolate was good. Plenty to eat on the plate. Really like the little touches, like the condiment basket. Only negative - its hard to get in with a walker or wheelchair. Wheelchair accessibility: Not handicap accessible, its a small space. But they did help me maneuver my walker to the dining area.
The boy yesterday afternoon was special. Congratulations for him.
The place is located in the heart of the Old Quebec City. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried both savoury and sweet crepes. Would highly recommended this place for breakfast or brunch. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The place is small so the seating is a bit limited. There maybe a little line sometimes. Vegetarian options: The menu offers a number of vegetarian options.
Food was wow!! Location easy to find. We watched the chef in the open kitchen prepare everything. The service ...friendless....5 stars is not enough!! Go ...you will not regret. Food
Nice welcome
Pasty and overcooked pancake, poor quality ingredients (the tomato sauce is actually concentrate) all this for a high price
My/our all 3 in our party were very disappointed with the toughness and non fluffiness and dryness of their crepes. Im a master at making them, we had them many times in Montreal and Old Montreal; always soft, airy, cut with a fork. We knew we were in trouble when a steak knife with teeth was served? Price wise, its 2024 and it is what it is. I ordered SPECIFICALLY strawberry filled, I received fresh strawberries on top? In October, in North America, you dont get fresh strawberries on anything. Yuk! I never leave a review under 4 stars, never had to. I did now. So when you Google best crepes near me and this one pops up, think twice. I read all the reviews and I saw mentioned that they were tough. I guess this is my own fault. Bon appetite *
The waitress was very kind and thoughtful!
Amazing!!!!!!
Roast beef crepe
Delicious crepes! The latte was delicious too! Friendly staff!! Everyone was great!
Crepe was mostly dry. I think overall taste is mediocre and not worth the price.
CAD 50ish 1 savoury crêpe from their options and 1 sweet crêpe with banana and custord cream, plus a coffee and a freshly squeezed carrot juice Pretty good! Would recommend Very nixe atmosphere, small and cozy
Warm! Good food and good beer Worth the detour.
Simply everything so good and cozy little place.
Very disappointed by the quality of the dry elastic pancakes Poor quality ingredients I wont come back here again
Disappointed. crapes are supposed to be moist and tender, and of cours with flavour. These ones are dry, chewy and tasteless. Not a good place for crapes, better arrive early for regular breakfast which are a good price. But crapes you need to add $2.50+ per ingredient or ask for package which are expensive for a dry tasteless crapes. Better to try the sweet ones at least you will get some sauce and sweetness to them.
DELICIOUS! Glad to have stopped in. Waited for nearly 40 minutes but worth visiting such a popular establishment.
It was almost like sitting outside. The crepe selection was very good. The restaurant was very full, so we had to wait a long time for service. The crepes were tasty, but not outstanding.
Went there for dessert after dinner. The place was dirty at the first glance. We ordered 2 basic sweet crepes (strawberry and wipe cream + chocolate and banana). You would not believe how disappointed we were after tasting our first bit. The crepes were hard and dry ...May be thats the reason why they provide steak knifes instead of dessert or fruit knifes... Definitely not recommend and wont go back.
Went here to get a salad like an absolutely insane person so I dont know if the crepes are any good. Good customer service and tasty food and drinks. The restaurant is claustrophobic in my opinion because of the old building having limited seating space. Very good for a little bite to eat before continuing exploring the city.
Cheap, and extremely expensive for the quality of the McDonalds product made from the best crepe
It was worth the wait. Great crepes
We had the worst Crepe ever there. Its too hard and dry, the knife is not even cutting it. Cheap chocolate sauce and very little amount. Not worth it.
The worst crepes Ive ever had. Crepe itself was so dry, blunt and hard to cut. I believe a chief have to have superhuman abilities to make it so bad. My 11 yr old son can make them better Chocolate filling is a joke. There were hints of chocolate syrup somewhere there, but mostly crepe was folded empty. The only good thing was amount of bananas and strawberries. The most unbelievable fact? They r oblivious of their crepes quality
The service was ok, but the experience of the dessert was terrible. I have never had a crepe as hard and dry as these. The price that they charge for 1 crepe is absolutely ridiculous. My family and many more are saying that they are very hard, I dont think that they change the food based on their reviews. The one thing good about the crepe was how it looked. They say there is chocolate but based on what I saw the crepe was empty on the inside. Do not recommend getting crepes from there. My father only lets me have 1 dessert a week and I feel bad for myself that I completely and utterly wasted my 1 chance in this place.
Le Casse-crêpes Breton offers a delightful dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a clean environment. We enjoyed a charming street view from our table. Overall, a great find featured on TV, and were looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!
The overall crepe taste was very good. They just flip the crepes by hand... I didnt see them washing their hands before cooking, so I took off two stars. The crepes were very delicious.
Crepes were just mediocre. Kind of thick and gummy.
So unappetizing! The pancakes are really not tasty certainly reheated, rubbery appearance. We do not recommend, this restaurant is not a real creperie
We love having our breakfast here.
I like the food and the employees treated us very well.
best choice for Quebec tourists
The best crepes in Quebec.
Supper yummy food and fast service
Very nice atmosphere and fast service. We had breakfast there and would go back again.
I love this place. Affordable and delicious
Four ladies and I visited the store at 7:30 when it opened. Since we cant speak English or French, we used a translation app to stare at the menu! Eventually, that became too much of a hassle, so I showed them a photo of a review I had searched on Google Maps and ordered the same thing. We shared a sweet crepe and a vegetable crepe. I was more worried about the sweetness, but it turned out to be better than I expected . Its a delicious restaurant with many repeat customers. The staff members were all cheerful and cute girls, and they were all smiling and smiling , making me more and more likable. thank you very much.
I went there during my little trip to Quebec, really an address not to be missed! The pancakes were extremely good, and what about the hot chocolate, it was exquisite!
Cute decor and delicious crepes! The americano was *chef s kiss <3
Great crepes.
I find it difficult this morning to write this review But for the first time I didnt like my experience. Pancakes So overcooked that they were rubber, we werent even allowed a coffee stove! And what hurts even more is paying $60 for two pancakes!!! Phew
Vegetarian options: Il y a des fruits et des crêpes. Recommended dishes
The crepes were delicious, but certainly not inexpensive. They charge for the crepe, & separately for each ingredient. So my banana, chocolate & berry crepe was 14.25$! Dinner for 2 with tip & dessert was 120$. Probably not excessive for Quebec City, but more than I expected. I felt their pricing is a bit deceiving. Vegetarian options: I ordered the buckwheat crepe with spinach, mushrooms, & a white sauce. The buckwheat crepes are a bit more expensive, & I was charged for the mushrooms, the spinach, & the sauce. Hearty but expensive. There are several choices for vegetables, but remember- each vegetable is an additional charge.
Tight little place, good food!! Service was a little slow
The wheat crepes were hard and very thick, like shoe soles...pfff, however the chocolate and strawberries were rich and fresh...
Worth the wait! Fresh and delicious crepes. Huge portions and STUFFED with cream and fruit. We had strawberry and raspberry crepes with whipped cream and couldnt finish one. Revised 2024. We came back to Quebec and made sure to come back to this restaurant. While we were here in our 4 days, we came back place for crepes. They are all delicious. The service is excellent. The size and price is very comparable to other restaurants but the quality is much higher.
A cafe to rest and enjoy the beautiful streets of Quebec, the staff is very friendly and attentive, the coffees are very delicious, prices 4-6.5 CAD.
Absolutely delicious crepes! The savory crepes we ordered were perfectly seasoned and the chocolate and strawberry crepe was chewy and the right amount of sweetness. We were sat right by an open window and had a great view of the street and nearby musicians.
Service was excellent, crepe was awesome, comfortable to sit and dine by the patio
Its never nice to leave a bad review but just want to warn people... I am French and from Britanny. My family and I love buckwheat pancakes and were excited to go to this place for dinner. Our waitress was lovely, but we were very surprised when our buckwheat crêpes arrived; they were very dark in colour, which didnt make sense to us, and sadly they tasted awful. My son couldnt eat his. We were so disappointed as with a name like Casse-Crêpe Breton we expected as close to authentic. My husband had a white flour crêpe which was a little better. We didnt order dessert.
Friendly and attentive servers for a family with two young children. The reception is good, but anyone who has ever eaten pancakes worthy of the name will realize that they dont know how to make them. We had 1 wheat crepe and 2 buckwheat crepes, they were thick, hard to cut and tasted like cardboard despite the ingredients inside. For a quick meal with the kids its okay, but theres no point stopping if you like real Breton pancakes ;-)
Need a filling meal for brunch, or lunch or anytime?! These crepes will completely satisfy you. Youve got plenty of options to choose from to fill up the crepe from savory to sweet. Good atmosphere, fresh food, and great service all included.
The crew not nice at all, seat close to each other no way to go out to rest room
Cozy little biligual creperie with great coffee. Sometimes a wait to get seated, but very worth it. Tried the warmed date square with ice cream....ssssooooo yummy (but forgot to take a photo)
Wonderful experience, the crepes were very good, excellent options, very tasty and served (large portions)
A very good address with top-notch staff
The crepes have nothing to do with real Breton crepes...they are hard, tasteless and very expensive.
Went here for vegan crepes which were not labeled but do exist and were good! On a savory buckwheat crepe, we got tomato sauce, tomatoes, asparagus, spinach, onion and a side of Dijon mustard. On the sweet crepe we got brown chestnut marron Cream (the server checked with the chef and confirmed this was vegan), strawberries, bananas, and maple syrup. Vegans: Ask them to omit the decorative whipped cream dollop that they will put on the side of the sweet plate. With the buckwheat crepe, dont expect an eggy and fluffy crepe, but they were tasty and filling!
Delicious crêpes, cute and quaint atmosphere, and great service. Was a perfect breakfast. We also sat by the window that looked out onto the street!
Although there was a bit of a wait, it was friendly, delicious, and had a great atmosphere. Listening to the cathedral bells ringing outdoors
just like that
Had the delicious savoury buckwheat crepe #7 with pesto, bacon, tomato, spinach and goat cheese and a cappuccino for breakfast. It was awesome! Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was so cool. Loved it. Just remember to get there early as it is a popular spot.
Saturday morning was a long wait out the door. Vegan options almost nonexistent. Service was fine.
Reasonable price and super nice interior! Loved blackwheat crepe with banana, strawberry, chocolate syrup + Americano coffee Food
The breakfast is worth it, being hearty and at a reasonable price compared to other places.
I have been frequenting this place during my visits to Quebec since the 90s! Always satisfying, affordable and reassuring, this little restaurant has found its niche for a long time and I love going back there. My first choice every time!
Great place. Food and service were both fantastic and delightful.
Great for breakfast or lunch! Staff very nice and the owners smile lights up the place!
Fake whipped cream (Cool Whip which is corn syrup), fake maple syrup (artificially-flavored corn syrup) unless you pay for real maple syrup, fake hot chocolate (artificially-flavored, corn syrup solids in a powdered mix.) How do you call yourself a crepe restaurant in Quebec and serve artificially-flavored corn syrup as food? I gave two stars one for the nice wait staff and one for the wine which was decent.
Eat here only if not crowded and keep your expectations low Unfortunately I read the reviews only after we had already waited 45 minutes for our order To sum it up - The kitchen doesn t keep up with the rush hour. If it s around noon I d skip the place. the crepes were OK, one was really good (#7) but the rest were just meh.
Had breakfast here: yoghurt with fruits, coffee and a crepe with vanilla sauce and sugar. Compared to my experiences in France and when I made pancakes myself I thought that the crepe was baked too long making it chewy and dry. Nice touch is that they bake the crepes in front of you on a large stove. No complaints about the yoghurt (sweetened) and fruit (fresh strawberries and banana). Service was quick and friendly.
Ugh. This is a tough one. The workers were lovely, ready with warm greetings and friendly service throughout. However, the food was terrible. Hands-down the worst crepe Ive ever had. We each ordered the savory #6 with a buckwheat crepe. We requested goat cheese in lieu of the swiss it was meant to come with. It was served looking dry and uninviting, and only went downhill from there. There was far more crepe than ingredients, and disappointingly flavorless. After my first bite I ended up unfolding it, looking for the mushrooms, egg, cheese, asparagus, and bechamel sauce the menu described. Inside I found almost nothing. There was maybe a quarter of an egg smeared inside a crepe much too big for its lack of ingredients. The thinnest slivers of mushrooms sparingly clung to the driest crepe to ever live, with sad spears of soggy asparagus, goat cheese being the most plentiful ingredient - enough to cover two slices of baguette - and bechamel sauce that more resembled southern gravy (in appearance, not in flavor) than the rich sauce it longed to be. I scraped what I could, and laughingly where I scraped off was sometimes indistinguishable from the areas unfolded, yet untouched. I asked our waitress for salsa, hoping to give this sad dish some flavor and life (I was truly grasping for a way to make this dish edible), to which she replied that, Its dry, right? The buckwheat tends to be dry. She suggested a side of bechamel sauce, as they didnt have salsa. The extra sauce was flavorless, just like the crepe it was meant to improve. Oh, the drinks. The vegetable juice he ordered was V-8, until proven otherwise, and the mocha with whipped cream was pretty, but undrinkable. Hands-down one of the worst meals Ive ever had. However, our waitress was lovely, but this place should be skipped.
We went for a late breakfast/early lunch with a larger party of 7 adults and a 2 year old. We had a mix of savory and sweet crepes and all were fantastic. The waitresses we had were great with bringing things for our young one to color and they also were just fantastic overall. Really cute atmosphere as it was raining outside but had the window open so felt cozy. Served coffee and had milk for our son. Overall would highly recommend for crepes! Great folks. Kid-friendliness: We had our 2 year old and they had a coloring book. Its not built for kids but they certainly do their absolute best making sure we felt welcome!
The apple crepe was amazing! Great service. If you sit in the first sitting area, you can watch the crepes being made.
We had breakfast here and loved the food! Their crape is very chewy and delicious. Buckwheat crape was also very good. They have savory and sweet crapes. Staffs were friendly and very nice as well!
The ambience , food , staff was perfect. It s perfect for a date night! :)
We had buckwheat pancakes. If you are looking for Breton crepes, go your way. The dough is thick, floury, soft and sticks to the teeth. The toppings are filling, the eggs are broken and cooked into an omelette... Nevertheless, the place is nice. The service is fast, the waiters are attentive and available. The music is fancy. Maybe we should try the wheat pancakes. Vegetarian options: We make the pancakes ourselves.
The waiter was very nice and cheerful, but the dough for the sweet crepes was too dry and hard, so I didnt like it very much.
This place was fantastic. As long as you dont overload your crêpes too much, this is a good place to go to, especially for breakfast.
I have been here twice and both times I was very underwhelmed with their Make your own crepes. Perhaps they do better with the set menu items? There was barely any filling, mostly just layers of the crepe. I mean, 2 small, very thin slices of deli turkey and two thinly sliced mushrooms made up those two toppings. It was pretty laughable! My family seemed to have a bit more filling with their set menu crepes. I left hungry - no one likes that. Will not eat here again. Vegetarian options: Veggie options Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buckwheat crepes
Delicious!
Great crepes and mocha, friendly staff. Can be pretty busy
Stopped by for a quick snack and ordered a chestnut filled crepe with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Delicious delicious and delicious. Jusr what I needed on a hot summer day.
We were here yesterday. There was a line up as this is a cozy spot. Did not mind the wait, the staff was friendly. We were a bit underwhelmed as the crepes turned out too chewy, we could not cut the edges with the knife and fork. The fillings were good not much Nutella on my pancake. Perhaps the savory ones had more filling. The experience was good though.
Wonderful crepes! Freshly squeezed orange juice and fantastic cappuccinos! Very cute and cozy restaurant with great service!
Wait can be a little long, but definitely worth it! Very good food and friendly staff
Decent for a touristic area, good service, fair prices. Crepe were different from what you d get in France but still enjoyable and made on order.
Some of the best crepes I ve ever had! Service was great and coffee as well!
The crepes were a little dry. They only had chocolate syrup instead of the classic Nutella. The hazelnut crepe wasn t good either. On the other hand, the service was excellent and they cooked the crepes in front of you.
We went for crepe and coffee. Everything tasted so delicious and fresh. The service was very pleasant and they went above and beyond to accommodate a request. We would go back whenever we are in the city.
Great breakfast fare. Waitress was friendly and very efficient. Atmosphere was very cozy. 2 s !
Not great! Chewy wheat pancake!!! Dry buckwheat pancake!!!
Period decor with old photos on the walls and French songs from my childhood. Our meals were delicious. Good service from competent employees. There were only 2 of them serving tables during the busy dinner hour and they managed to serve everyone diligently and with a smile, while alternating between French and English. Congratulations to this team!
Very good attention. I ordered a beagle, I dont recommend it, its very small. The crepes looked much better.
Wonderful crepe! You can choose the ingredients. Impeccable service.
Me and my boys had a very enjoyable lunch here. The sweet crepe with ice cream was amazing. The savory crepe also tasted nice. I personally preferred the sweet crepe. The service was great and the atmosphere was great too.
Super creperie, attentive staff, good dishes and warm atmosphere.
Very tight quarters, extremely hot inside .food great service very slow
Custom crepe I want revenge! Gluten free available!
Very nice looking and cozy crepe place! Sadly, they are not very good with coffee and it is very hot inside. They have 3 tables by the windows, that might be nice, but everywhere else the air is stuffy and hot. Crepes were good. Food
Very pleasant meal and delicious ham and asparagus crepe. Kid-friendliness: There were several little ones there that evening.
La Casse-Crêpe Breton serves delicious crêpes in a beautiful environment. Every season offers new delights at a reasonable price. The crêpes are prepared right before your eyes. An experience not to be missed. As a resident of Old Québec, I make sure to visit Casse-Crêpe Breton at least twice a year. A+!
We had good feedback and indeed there was a line at the door but we were disappointed by the taste. The pancakes are beautiful, even magnificent, but the taste is not there, they are even difficult to cut. In short, a good alternative for a visit to Quebec, especially for the value for money but not transcendent.
Blackberry milkshake and very tasty roast beef sandwich.
Cute and affordable place to eat in Vieux-Québec! Portions are a good size and the food is very tasty. The homemade lemonade wasn t good enough to justify the price. All in all, would definitely return!
Gluten-free crepes were very nice.
Nice cozy atmosphere. Got the #3 and #7 savories crepes. Both amazing. I m sure every crepe they make is incredible.
Cozy atmosphere and good service. Its a bit expensive, but still OK for a tourist hotspot. The salad and the galette were OK.
The crepes were very dry and little filling definitely not worth it.
The place has a good atmosphere and the service is very good, unfortunately they forgot the ingredient that gave life to my crepe so it was tasteless
This restaurant was a nice surprise! We ordered the strawberry crepe (with whipped yogurt) and the Marie Thérèse crepe. Both were delicious and tea or coffee accompanied each crepe. Highly recommended for a quick and delicious breakfast.
Great crepe. A little pricy but delicious.
We got in fast, got our food quick but the crepes were quite tough/rubbery, little disapointing., we speak english and only 1 server spoke to us to take our order the rest came by and seemed quite unfriendly. I would go somewhere else next time
So this was our first experience with Quebec Crepes, hard and rubbery. Served with steak knives. If this is what your looking for, you found it here. My wifes and daughters sweet cepes were the same, and too much chocolate and whipped cream. Order light!! My traditional breakfast crepe contents were very good. But again...needed that steak knife! Dont come if you want soft and fluffy! Service was initially friendly, but repeat visits very cold and no replys to anything we said. It was also very hot inside, wait for a window or youll be sweating! Cheers!
Unfortunately I didnt like it, too many people, too crowded, no space. The meal, strawberry and whipped cream no worse. Strawberry pass date on your plate. The service is poor, the staff speaks to you in English before speaking French to you without forgetting that they made the wrong order several times. Brought me juice that I didnt ask for after having my own drink. Unfortunately I will not return there. Im disappointed. Price wise, its expensive for what you get on your plate, it took a long time to receive my order. Paying around $30 for a milkshake and a fruit pancake is expensive to pay.
