Venez vivre la Dolce Vita dans notre restaurant italien situé à deux pas du Château Frontenac à Québec. Découvrez une ambiance festive accompagnée d’un accordéoniste dans un décor unique qui rappelle l’Italie.
First of all the service here was very very good. These people seemed pretty understaffed and packed but were very attentive as a team. My wife got manicotti she didn’t like it but only because the pesto pasta was very strong and flavorful. It was very good pasta. A very well put together dish. I got Alfredo with chicken it was Olive Gardenesque . Not bad and not great. As you read in other review the bread is weird hard cold crunchy bread mixed with cold regular bread and ice cold unspreadable butter. I have eaten in 100’s of Italian restaurants this isn’t a normal thing. They also have an accordion player. It’s pretty cool. You can tell the guy is loved and its the real true mystique and draw of the place. He is very talented . In a city full of amazing restaurants i probably wouldn’t go back here. Also, not to be a jerk but it’s kinda tacky and childish to put a (.) as a response to a bad review . In fact you literally ask someone why 3 stars not 4 and it almost made me go back and change my review to 3 . When i basically only give 5’s Yah yah i know you don’t care. 4.1
My daughter and I had a mini getaway to Quebec City for my birthday. This restaurant was highly recommended my locals. I'm gluten free. And not so easy at a Italian restaurant. I was mistaken! Joe was our waiter, and he was fun, kind and made a memorable experience. They brought a delicious 😋 cake to wish me a happy birthday with the staff, and the resident musician, who was playing the accordion beautifully throughout our dinner experience. The gluten free Alfredo pasta. Was no joke, the best I have ever had!! It's worth a trip to Quebec City to have it again!
We were in the area and were looking to grab a bite for dinner. We drove by Parmesan Restaurant and figured we'd book an online reservation (recommended) and check it out. The hostess seated us promptly. Our drink order was filled pretty quickly. The restaurant uses ALL available space for both its patrons and tchotchkes. It's almost overwhelming how much there is to see as you look around. It took some time to place our order and almost 50 minutes before our food arrived. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. Getting the check took some time as well. The workers are always moving and hustling, especially the bus staff and food runners. It's just a busy place. The accordian player was a nice touch to add to the ambiance. The food was good, so great. I saw a lot of negative reviews on the complimentary bread. There were (2) kinds in the basket we received. One was soft and the other crunchy. The soft although not warm was pretty good (small basic italian) We had (2) entrees and a beer, and the bill was over $100. This is not a fancy restaurant, but rather a staple to the area with a rich history. Worth a one-time visit for us.
Bustling, Fun, and Delicious! We had such a great meal here in February that this was our first stop when we arrived back in Quebec City. Everything we've tried was excellent. Highly recommend the Fettucini Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan, and Chicken Picata. We are the entrees too quickly for photos but remembered at desert time!
The restaurant is an attraction in itself. We were transported to a quaint Italian villa in the heart of Quebec City. The servers were so friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. The Margherita pizza was loaded with cheese and the crust was prepared just right. Lemoncello was a great way to transition to the lovely lemon blueberry cheesecake.
Good food and service. Food tastes really good and have descent portion. The ambiance is really good with amazing wall decor. The tables are pretty tightly packed and does not have enough room around them. Restaurant was fully packed and we didn't had any reservations but fortunately we got a table.
This is a great restaurant with amazing food (me and some others took the Alfredo well someone took the code) and we all loved it. The service was amazing and efficient the only thing is that the first time it took them like 10 minutes to refill the water (it was busy). And there was an accordion player that was amazing. All of the workers were nice and the atmosphere was filled with historical artifacts (such as muskets from 1669). All other great experiences and perfect for a small group or family.
Lovely place, lovely staffs, lovely food! Had great lunch over here. Steak is only for dinner, but they made it available during lunch for me. Really attentive and nice! Will definitely come back again
Dont order desserts!! Decorated in an excessive and even grotesque way, it is far from being an authentic Italian restaurant. Dont order desserts, especially tiramisu: it doesnt have mascarpone or vanilla, or coffee. A true insult to the Italian dessert and by extension to the diner who chooses that type of cuisine. Careful and cordial attention. Other dishes on the menu, lets say, correct.
What an unforgettable experience! A charming accordion player comes to the tables, a waiter in tune with our energy, a dynamic, smiling team and the food (cannelloni and linguini with clams and the crepes Suzette flambéed at the table) was absolutely delectable! A HUGE favorite! To live and relive!
Very delicious food and attentive service. Especially the chefs special seafood pot, great value for money, you must try it
A beautiful atmosphere, jovial staff, smiling and attentive, friendly. Very satisfied, and I recommend this restaurant. Excellent dough cooked to perfection and tasty
As always exceptional Sofia served us brilliantly!!!
Really good! Great staff! The owner is very kind and generous! The sweetbreads are to die for!!! Thanks to the whole team for the atmosphere!
Very nice place, beautiful atmosphere, delicious dinner and very good service, recommended if you are in Quebec
Worst restaurant experience of my life. More than an hour of waiting for glasses of water, we booked at 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday evening and our meals were not served until 8:30 a.m. Wine list not at all impressive. Poor food quality, there is absolutely nothing Italian in it. Decor dating from the 75s, overloaded and kitsh. Exorbitant prices for not much. Pasta tasteless or too salty. The lobster bisque was nothing like a bisque, with an ocean bottom flavor and the color of vomit. Those who had the seafood pasta were all sick. Poor service, the employees were overwhelmed in the kitchen and had looked completely disorganized. It took almost 1 hour 15 minutes to get our bill, the waitress was all mixed up, the individual bills all had to be re-pointed and calculated. No cooperation from the manager who saw that his waitress was in distress. No facilities or excuses were offered. Arriving at a restaurant at 6:30 p.m. and leaving at 10:45 a.m. is not acceptable for me, especially when the pleasure of staying there is not there.
Vibe was great! Carpaccio was lovely! Would come back!
A very good time, very good cuisine, an accordionist who takes you back to France, a very Italian espresso and to finish, a good limoncello offered by the house
Impeccable service and the food is excellent We are really amazed by our meal
Love the service our server Etienne really listens to our order and fast service and the musician wow bravoont will recommend you for people from New Brunswick again Thank you
Food is low quality and expensive. The restaurant is unbelievably loud and overfilled. Not a good dining experience
Festive place for celebrations with friends. Very friendly accordionist on site when we were there. Ordinary food and very high prices. Too salty minestrone soup for $14 (Nov. 16, 2024).
Very mediocre. Very ordinary Italian food, the pasta was not homemade, everything was bland, tasteless. We were a group of 12 people, 1 person among all found their meal to their liking. The kind of meal you eat as a lunch menu in a local restaurant for $20 The service was slow and inefficient, we had to go through the invoices item by item, twice. After 1.5 hours of waiting to pay our bills, they were still all mixed up. Really, a more than mediocre meal as well as very average service. I dont recommend the place. On the other hand, the atmosphere was very pleasant thanks to the accordionist. I dont want to overlook his contribution to our evening, without him, it would have been a total failure. ** Small addition the next day, out of a group of 12 people, 3 were sick following their Parmesan meal!
We went to celebrate a friends party yesterday, what can I say about this evening I had the impression that we were on a hidden camera because this evening bordered on the ridiculous Im leaving 1 star because we cant give 0 Bland food to remain polite if not to say (disgusting) my restaurant in the village makes better dishes at an affordable price Dough not homemade we are in an Italian restaurant yes or no? Tomato sauce? In cane would have tasted better than what was clearly served The service . What can we say about the service, having to go through your invoice twice rather than once on a group of 12 is a long time... error on top of errors. Quality of food worthy of a roadside snack, what was served to us borders on the ridiculous. I have no problem paying well when the service and food are worth it . But there I could have thrown it out the window my money would have done the same Mention all the same to this gentleman who played the accordion thank goodness you saved our evening of disappointment. No discounts or conveniences were offered to us although we expressed our disappointment on more than one occasion *this morning we learned that 3 of us were sick after leaving the restaurant* Our waitress finished her figure at the back of her cash register and cried over the mixed up bill... Phew phew phew . never again
We went there for a friends party. There were 10 of us. We had booked in advance. It took 1 hour to get our aperitif. Our waitress, who was poor, lacked experience and coaching. We were there on a Saturday evening with friends so far from the idea of saying that we were in a hurry. We wanted to enjoy and take the time to have a good time with friends. On the other hand, the length and lack of service was appalling. When we were finally able to get our food to eat. All the dishes were bland, the pasta overcooked, the soups excessively too salty and the meat much overcooked. We asked the waitress for our bills, after a long time wondering why we still didnt have them. We realized that she was crying behind the cash register, too confused and distraught about the situation. One of us had to call the manager to get someone to help her. It took us, without exaggeration, more than an hour to sort out the bills, we remember that there were 10 of us All of us often, I would even say every week, go to restaurants several times a week. The service, the prices and everything that appeals to the restaurant as a customer we are used to. To top it all off. The next morning, we all talked to each other and 3 of us were extremely sick and vomited all night after the meal. Very disappointed. And frankly I recommend it to anyone.
An emblematic restaurant in Quebec City. A must for the atmosphere and for the service, nothing to say about that. However, a very important point is the value for money of the dishes and unfortunately the quantity for the price does not meet this criterion. For $29 youll get a plate of pesto pasta which is definitely not worth $29. Also, if you want to drink sparkling water, the bottle will cost you $10. So for $39 before taxes and before tip you get a plate of dough the quantity of which leaves something to be desired and a bottle of sparkling water. Its up to you to decide if its worth the cost. For my part its a big NO.
For us this restaurant in Quebec is a 5 star5
Quebec is famous for lobster, so I ate a whole lobster! The price seems to change every day, so be sure to ask in advance~~ I think around $50 is okay :) Of course, if you add a tip to the tax.
Seriously, it was perfect. Impeccable and complete service. I loved the warm atmosphere of this restaurant. Yes its in old Quebec but its not a tourist trap. You see that the owners do everything to ensure that you have a great experience. The prices are fair. Its super clean. I ate very well.
Service was amazing . the food was mediocre, seemed like cafeteria food honestly, the mushroom risotto was very good. I don t believe there s an actual chef on staff Salad was floppy, soggy . the accordion was ok if he was on the other side but way too loud if nearby. Chicken piccata was disappointing (no capers even and just bland chicken we ate it, so at least it wasn t bad. the atmosphere seems a little too circus for us. seems like a place to grab tourists off the street, and they got us. Again, excellent service though. I just wouldn t go back with all of the nicer options around. Sorry to sound negative, just being honest .
Excellent restaurant in old Quebec! Very good food and very pleasant staff! The atmosphere is perfect, jovial, warm and authentic. The experience offered is unique in part thanks to the accordion player and the different services of the servers such as the braised coffees that I recommend.
A truly great discovery!! The people who work there are very nice!! Thank you for the beautiful dinner
Excellent service, delicious food
Very nice experience, I really liked the atmosphere, especially with the accordionist! Our server and all employees provided attentive service. I had the veal escalope Milanese and my boyfriend had the pesto pasta, we both liked our dish. Dessert (chocolate cake) was also good.
Very good service and excellent food!
Vegetarian options: Veg options are available and also they do customize as per customer order that is very good i found there. Food
Best accordian player. Great atmosphere.
In November 2024, we had dinner as a family of four and spent 150 CAD. The lobster soup was really bad, and the caprese salad was just a large tomato cut in half with cheese inside and a few salad leaves nothing more. The portions were quite small, and the taste was far from impressive. The place was crowded, with waiters constantly bumping into our table as they walked around. It was extremely loud inside.
The Parmesan Restaurant in Quebec is great for Italian food. The pasta is fresh and tasty, and the portions are just right. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is friendly. All in all a great place to eat well and enjoy your time.
Its very noisy and the tables are very close together
Food does not live up to expectations. $15 for two overcooked parmesan fondues and served with a small piece of iceberg salad and 2 slices of semi-mole tomatoes....main meal no taste....in short a tourist trap!
Worst meal I have ever tried. There were 6 of us and no one liked it. Firstly, the melted parmesan seems to be frozen from SuperC. The main meal without taste. The only thing that was appreciated was the musician. Stomach ache and my daughter had blurred vision once she got out. Never again!!
At first glance, this restaurant in old Quebec seemed charming. Once inside, a singer on an accordion walks to the tables and there are desserts, meals and cocktails flambéed. If you like animation, you will be charmed. However, the quality of the dishes was not as good. Poor Alfredo sauce, overcooked pasta. Vegetarian options: Several options available, pastas, starters
Great atmosphere, quality cuisine, impeccable service
Staff and atmosphere were excellent, my chicken parm was thin and dried out, otherwise a great restaurant, with a very personable accordion player. We d definitely go back!
I indicated that the gnocchi were very good the baguette was not ! There was no congruence ! I was very disappointed! Also the atmosphere was loud which appeals to a younger demographic .
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service.
Warm atmosphere despite small staff. Exceptional and generous cuisine.
We were a group of 13 and we had a wonderful evening! A great server, a manager who sees to everything and a very good musician. We ate well and celebrated my mothers 98th birthday. This was a great restaurant choice!
This is a fun place, and the food and wine were excellent. The service was attentive, polite, and skillful but overworked during our visit at the busiest time of evening. The owner is a collector, so theres lots to keep your eyes busy while you wait. It was somewhat noisy but we were able to talk. Some of the desserts are especially interesting and they have at least 7-8 grappas for after dinner
Great food. Really slow and poor service. Takes forever to get the food.
The place is legendary and the atmosphere is great. but having cold boring commercial butter servings at this premium price. Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs at the entrance, but I believe they could help in.
Excellent restaurant with very accommodating and friendly staff. Loved the live accordion music and the musician is also very friendly as well as talented. Had cod for dinner and it was cooked so well. Highly recommend for dinner
I had pasta with seafood , BUT whare is the seafood. One shrimp, one scallop, two clams , and a few mini tiny shrimps ( Matane shrimps ) and only pasta with a sauce that wasnt good at all .
A restaurant that everyone from Quebec should have tried once in their life. An Italian classic, and when I say classic it s the exact word. The restaurant with a character that takes us on a journey. A classic menu both in presentation and choice. We had the big meal of seafood drop which could feed 3 people. What an exceptional experience. With a starter of parmesan fondue and fried squid. To finish, two desserts, grappa and flambéed coffees , with a beautiful spectacle in front of us with the pedestal table. The service was attentive and very very very jovial from start to finish. Thank you for this great culinary experience
Serveurs sympathiques, bonne ambiance. Je recommande fortement la pizza prosciuto luigi.
One of the best Italian food places in Quebec to have dinner. Food is outstanding, fresh, excellent favor and just so good we ate there twice during our visit to Quebec City.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Always nice to go with parmesan.
In addition to the cuisine that I loved, a superb setting full of history. I recommend
Sara and Stephane were absolutely exceptional. The food and service was beyond amazing
Very well eaten Excellent silk My pasta is very good Very nice waitresses
Nice atmosphere, interesting decor. Very friendly waiter and valet. But I am not impressed with the value for money meal. It was good, but we liked the place more than the food.
You said it was a pasta restaurant, but it doesnt really suit Korean tastes. The pizza was delicious. The tables are very close together, its full of customers, so its noisy, and theres even a guy singing! Perhaps because the server was busy, he never came to our table. There was leftover pizza, but without even asking if I needed a to-go box, I placed my own utensil on top of the pizza, leaving half of the remaining pizza behind. I dont think there are enough places to make a reservation.
An exceptional restaurant that stands out for its warm and exhilarating atmosphere! A unique place in Quebec in my opinion.
We had a great evening! Beautiful atmosphere, very good service and excellent meal. I highly recommend.
Wonderful dinner at a reasonable price. An amazing place with SO many cute nic-nacs and various bottles, etc. all over the walls. Service was awesome. Dessert was great!
We had an early supper, so no need to reserve or wait. Excellent service and delicious food.
Highly recommended, service is great, food delicious, decoration keeps you entertained
Great fun. The strolling accordion player is a good touch. The veal Milanese was OK, but Ive had better.
Deliciously fresh food and great portion.
Been here multiple times before. Food is OK, and slightly over priced. The entertainment was wonderful. Only con: bypass the Tiramisu dessert as it was not tasty at all.
With each visit, a taste pleasure always renewed. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very friendly. Parmesan is a must when you are in Quebec. Dont hesitate.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ce lieu nest pas accessible aux fauteuils roulants
The vibe and the food was excellent, but a middle age waiter who was really rude and thought he was underpaid. His bad behavior stopped us from going to the place. Food
We had an enjoyable time and our group spent at least $1000 at this restaurant until there was theft. I left the tip on the table where there was an employee cleaning up. I went to pay my bill at the bar. I told the waiter that i had left the tip on the table and when he went to look it was gone. He refused to accept payment until I added a tip. When the employee was confronted about stealing from the table, he played dumb. The manager was useless and sided with the employee. I highly recommend not to go to this restaurant. It turned what had been an enjoyable evening into a very frustrating situation.
Fantastic home made Italian food. A nice cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Great value for your money and in the heart of the action. Recommend if your in Quebec City.
Great meal especially with the early bird special. Hearty French Canadian food made with authentic ingredients. Enjoy.
A week ago, I had the pleasure of visiting the place with a group of ten people. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, we were seated in less than two minutes, which was truly impressive. The staff was multilingual, speaking Spanish, English, and French, which greatly facilitated our experience, as some of us did not speak English or French. The waiters were attentive and helpful at all times. However, when it came time to serve the dishes, one of the waitresses, who was not in charge of our table, displayed unprofessional behavior by practically throwing the dishes onto the table. We decided not to give much importance to this isolated incident. As for the portions, they were just right, neither too large nor too small. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids manu.
Excellent atmosphere and staff
Fast service, friendly accordionist. Nice atmosphere. Succulent dish.
Absolutely delicious! The gnocchi pesto, escargot, vegetable soup and house salad were all amazing! Would highly recommend this place!!
New discovery absolutely superb experience Great food fabulous service and a special mention for the gentleman who plays the accordion. We will go back often and tell all our relatives and friends about it.
The forgettable room manager with a smile
We arrived late in Quebec and walked into this restaurant by chance and what a happy coincidence. The food was delicious, the presence of an accordionist gave a festive air to a Tuesday evening dinner and what can we say about the service!!! 4 people took turns bringing us our drinks and dishes and all were charming, attentive to our needs and took the time to answer our questions. If it was chance that guided our steps this evening, it is with real pleasure that we will return there during our next stay in Quebec.
We were a little doubtful about this restaurant after reading the reviews, but we had a wonderful time including the accordion player who got us to sing several songs. The food was very good, and it s the best restaurant Caesar salad I ve ever had.
4 of my family members and I just had dinner there. Great food, great service, and loved the accordion player. Would definitely recommend.
A restaurant where the atmosphere is certainly there. The service is great, the staff welcoming and very friendly! Thank you a thousand times. We will make it our favorite place for our possible visits to Quebec! Thank you and see you soon
I loved the content of the menu and I loved the decoration. The employees are great! I really liked the concept of this restaurant. Recommended. I was able to take great photos with the musician. In short, good restaurant!
Impeccable valet service. Afterwards the welcome upon entering was incredible. For those like me who believed that Parmesan is too expensive for my means, think again because in addition to being affordable you will live a unique experience. The service is fast and always takes care of us, I appreciated the friendliness. For my part, I had the succulent parmesan cheese starter as my main course, I had the GiGi LAmoroso tortellini pasta plate. My partner had the veal parmesan escalope. We made a mix of both half and half and it was a memorable meal
Always an experience in tradition. With the accordionist and great food
Excellent all round. Impeccable service from Stéphane, the new owner, and his daughter. Succulent and abundant food, an excellent fillet of walleye. The menu is very varied and the choice is difficult. I highly recommend trying and adopting this restaurant.
Loved the atmosphere but food was just okay at best, and highly overpriced. The veal Parmesan which is their featured dish was almost $40, but hardly had any cheese or tomato sauce on it. The spaghetti that came with it wasn t even that good. If it s any consolation the calamari appetizer was much better and the espresso was one of the better ones I ve had in a long time. I asked if they had any affogato (espresso poured on gelato) for dessert but the waiter had no idea what it was. That s as simple of a dessert as it gets. Not sure how they consider themselves as an Italian restaurant based o a few of these points alone. Oh ya one more thing . the gentleman on the accordion was good which her husband contributed to the atmosphere and also attracting people o to the restaurant. If this is their normal food for this price go elsewhere.
Very good food. Salad was excellent. Service was attentive. Even had an accordion player serenading the customers.
Next to Château Frontenac. Really delicious
I got a lunch menu with Pizza, Salad and coffee. The price was totally fine I thought at first, but then I received only one half of a Pizza even tho it wasn t mentioned anywhere on the menu the lack of transparency is not really acceptable in my opinion, even though the Pizza was good. Service was quick and attentive. Overall below average.
YOU MUST BE EARNED TO GET A TIP! Since everyone was reviewing this place, we were curious and wanted to try it to see if it was really as described. We ordered and three tables arrived after us. They then ordered and their food arrived quickly. They ate their meal, paid their bills and left, while we waited another hour for the food! I have no words to describe the food, it was delicious, but we paid $160 for pasta and a small steak. I found it strange because it was in a tourist spot and it was delicious. We asked for the bill and they had already credited the tip to the account plus we waited over an hour for the food to arrive! A guy who worked there came over and looked at the pay slip and said, Let me see how much you tipped. and when he saw that we werent tipping, he tried to embarrass us in front of everyone. He shamelessly followed us to the door and continued his sarcastic comments! Its a shame that there are such arrogant and rude staff in such a quality place! Our rating for the food is 10, not 5 stars! But the service and the way of speaking to customers, especially the tone when taking orders, is less than 10 stars! I will visit you again, SENYOR!
Expensive paid for the meal received the service ok nothing more
There is a bit of an Italian stereotype in this restaurant, but in its simplicity, it offers a joyful and fun atmosphere, as well as high-level restaurant service. We had fun. Greetings from Italy.
A festive atmosphere, a unique place. A service far from up to par. Bland cuisine where the pasta is overcooked and poorly seasoned. Even the parmesan is old and tasteless. The waiter in his sixties is out of place. After paying, no hello or thank you. It is unacceptable to serve such mediocre dishes in this place which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful in America Very disappointing!
Great food, great atmosphere with music on site, pleasant staff... to discover!
Expensive. Not tasty at all. I ordered the veal parmesan and it was dry, without any flavor. Great atmosphere but price is not worth it
That was a really good restaurant with delicious foods and kind workers I really enjoy it
This is the best Italian restaurant. When you are in this restaurant you feel in Italy. We must not forget that the staff are very welcoming. A special little hello to Madame Sophia.
Very nice welcome Fast service even if the restaurant was full! Very nice experience and what can we say about the warm atmosphere partly thanks to Sergio Kid-friendliness: Warm and family restaurant! Like Italian families! Choice of childrens meals
Delicious food and spectacular atmosphere
The food was excellent, but the attendent was horrible! She seemed bored, angry and about to scream. Completely ruined the mood.
The food was pretty good, but the service to me was not great. The resturant seating is pretty tight where one of my party had to get up multiple times in order for the other customers to pass by. The resturant was getting packed and our party felt rushed. The cheesecake that my fiance ordered was hard and did not taste good at all.
They had great pasta and serving sizes plus their customer service was great.
Great family atmosphere with quality Italian food
we wait for 30 minutes without getting a table. And 10 People come do reservation right in front of us and they get two tables right away! Food
What wonderful service from Sarah our waitress! And the food just wooowwwww and the unique atmosphere!!! The owner Stéphane, what an exceptional host! But he can count on a fantastic team! He may seem a little harsh with certain employees but when you know it s these children .we laugh! Go for it!!! You will not be disappointed! We are going back soon! Thanks again Sarah!
Really nice place, good food, meals quite expensive but present atmosphere.
excellent staff, food and location. treat yourself to a truly 5 star experience. Food
Fast and impeccable service, excellent food, perfect cooking and seasoning. We are received by an accordionist. Warm atmosphere. In the heart of old Quebec. The servers are courteous and professional.
We spent our last night in Quebec at this wonderful restaurant- Parmesan. We had the best server, Sara. She was knowledgeable of the menu and fun to talk to! I would highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Sara!!
Great little place in the heart of Quebec City. Fun atmosphere, with an accordion player! Sara was a fantastic server, ask for her!
It s an all around wonderful restaurant! The atmosphere is pleasant with live music every night, the service is great, and the food is to die for! 10/10!
So much fun at this place
The food was really good, the atmosphere is great, I loved the mr who plays the accordion. For the service it was good, a little long to get the main course but also no the servers and suites are really wow. The decoration like in Italy.
The food is at best ok and highly over priced. We were jammed in like sardines. It certainly was not accessible for individuals with cane or walker. The atmosphere is authentic and the was festive. We would likely not visit this place again.
We visited this restaurant on Aug 13/2024 we were very disappointed with our visit to this establishment. The service was terrible long waits just to get our drinks. For what we paid and what we got was so disappointing. My husband got the lasagna and it was no bigger than a michilina and for 30.00 odd dollars rip off. I had a house salad for 15.00 all it was a bit of head lettuce and 5 thin tomato wedges. Would not recommend and we definitely would not go there again. The tables were so close you felt like you were sitting on top of the table beside you. A person with a walker or a cane would have trouble. I walk with a can and had issues a person with a walker would definitely not be able to get through the restaurant. We were so excited on going but VERY DISAPPOINTED leaving after our meal Wheelchair accessibility: There is no wheelchair accessibility.
My husband and I really enjoyed dining at this quaint Italian restaurant for dinner this evening! We made reservations for 5:30 pm at the last minute and walked over from the Hilton. What fun decor and excellent service we enjoyed to go along with the incredible meal! We split a Ceasar salad (which had homemade croutons) and split the rich lasagna. Both were so fresh, so authentic and served quickly. What a surprise when a gentleman started playing an accordion! We learned that Parmesan has been open for 50 years, and no wonder, as it was a delight! We highly recommend this restaurant in Quebec!
Quaint Italian restaurant in the heart of French Quebec City. Food was tasty, service prompt and friendly, price reasonable for the location. Go.
We loved our experience, the food was delicious and we didnt wait too long, the singer was very talented and kind. I recommend this restaurant 100%
The best cold cuts I have ever eaten in my life!!
Professional staff. Delicious and very affordable lunch menu. Delicious cakes.
Very good and the valet service very appreciated
The veal parmigian escalopes are perfect. But the veal marsala scalopines, the sauce lacked taste (no marsala wine or very little and no champions. The perfect atmosphere.
Excellent
Delicious Italian meal. Outstanding service. Excellent selection and reasonable price. I loved it.
Just one word! Trap for tourists because the food is very basic....the service was excellent, even borderline expeditious, but the staff was very courteous.
We had a great time, the service was spot on and the decor was magnificent, beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend!
We were recommended to this restaurant and it was a great experience. The staff here are all on point. A superb Italian menu. Authentic all the way. The whole experience will bring you back to Italy. Thank you to all there.
We have just arrived from 6 weeks in Italy and we have rarely eaten as well as at Parmesan! The veal escalopes are absolutely wonderful. Not to be missed! Parking: The valet takes care of everything.
Portion size very little. They give you some bread (was not fresh) with some butter while you wait for your order. Not really worth the wait in the queue and pricing.
Unfortunately the quality of the food was not good. Flavourless. Overpriced. No high chair available for our young child. Food
Pricy but excellent, homely vibe and great service
I wouldnt have guessed when we got to Quebec City that we would eat in an Italian restaurant, but Im sure glad we did! The place was filled with charm and character. There are lots of decorations that were fun to examine. The service was great, and the food was off the charts. I had the ravioli, and I loved every bite. The restaurant is located right in the heart of Old Quebec, so its easy to get to other shops and eateries. Im so glad we had lunch here!
I brought 3 year Olds, they loved it. Lots of things you can play I spy with. They brought coloring books and crayons. No changing table I could find but there was a ledge in the bathroom. The food was outstanding- we had the home cured prosciutto on melon and the home smoked salmon fettuccine and the kids and I devoured everything. My spouse got a steak and it was really tender and flavorful. We were not expecting such good food but it went above and beyond. Kid-friendliness: They brought crayons and coloring books over, apple juice with maraschino cherries and when my kid broke a glass they did not get annoyed. Very professional
We stopped for a quick pizza and everything went well. The pizza was good, the service was ok and the price was fair.
Way too expensive for the plates you got. No vegetables or salad on the side, Luigi manicotti and nothing else on the plate.
Minestrone was way too salty!! Eggplant Parmesan tasted burnt.
not many vegetarian options, though all the seafood options are the menu are listed as vegetarian.. pretty pricey too, food was ok but not really worth the price in my opinion
So many amazing restaurants to eat at in Old Quebec don t waste your time here. Hostess rude, waiter forgot about us, pizza undercooked. Ugh
I rarely share reviews for restaurants, but when I do the experience was truly special. Parmesan is a warm, friendly and to some degree tourist focused experience, yet the welcome and service we received from the promptly seated reservation for 4, through appetizers, main and dessert was indeed special. The food was as well prepared, well presented and heart warming, followed by very tasty desert and table side showcase of cafes flambée. The intense and exciting decor kept us looking, and as F1 fans, the Billeneube shrine was noted! . A fantastic Monday night meal!!! French or English pas de problème.
The cannelloni not good change for a meat spaghetti which tastes like water my friend cod and frozen fries at 35.00 dollars a plate and speaks with the owner to say that he has no time for fresh fries no vegetables in the plate
Saturday July 13, 2024. Incredible service from start to finish. Élisabeth, Carl and all the others were professional and so welcoming. We came from Saguenay and we will travel again without hesitation to relive the experience. The food is excellent (high quality) and the staff are very attentive.
Our waiter was unbelievably rude, the food was mediocre at best. We normally stop in here at least twice a year for the past 10 years, this was our last time!
Food so bland..... tasteless dishes, very very disappointed
Excellent meal, excellent service, very affordable price, I am very satisfied!
We were time stamped because our reservation was at 8 pm and main dishes were served at 9:30 after multiple follow up. Waiter claimed that appetizer bruschetta was finished at 8:55. So we only waited 35 min and not 1.5 hours. Food is really good but we paid more than what s showing the menu. Food
Nice place good atmosphere. Even an accordion player. Vegetarian options: Penne arriabatta, pizza marghreta Food : 4/5 |
Last ones to get food
Totally unsatisfactory value for money. The kitchen reminded me of my school canteen. Tasteless and tasteless. Im not sure if the parmesan fondues that I had as a starter and the cannelloni as a main course were homemade. The bread is not worth more than what you buy in supermarkets (and I have the impression that the toasts were in fact bread that was already dry because it had been left in the air for too long and put in the toaster to give it a second life). Certainly the servers are friendly and efficient (that s an understatement: meals sent in less than 20 minutes). In short, if you want a meal worthy of the name and worthy of the bill, greet the person who is waiting for you on the steps and go on your way.
My family and I are from Florida visiting Quebec City, Canada looking for and Italian place to eat at. We passed by this warm and welcoming restaurant and we were absolutely impressed with our experience. It was a very home-like experience, with personal assistance and great food. From drinks to dinner to dessert, everything was what we expected to be in an Italian restaurant! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great sit down Italian dinner with impeccable service and food!
WOW, great place and the food was outstanding . It s nice to see generations of family working together.
It was excellent, the food excellent and the welcome impeccable. Wheelchair accessibility: Nothing to say
Excellent evening Good service good food
Great atmosphere, music being played in a accordion make the Italian restaurant a little bit more French, and that s mixing between cultures is a plus. Great food and service, I love the soccer balls hanging in the ceiling, I even saw a Flamengo soccer ball there, I hope they fix it because it was upside down lol, they know what I m talking about.
Service was top notch ! Italian cuisine served with a French Flare!!! Making the dining experience outstanding, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. Loved the accordion player , he was excellent too! Food
Enjoyed a delicious meal with friends in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. Thanks for the great service!
Wonderful atmosphere with so much to look at! Very comfortable homey feel. My smoked salmon linguine was excellent. My husbands steak, ordered med-rare was served blue, sent back and returned medium well. He ate it anyway and we were given 15% off his meal plus a complimentary shot of grappa for him and Lemoncello for me. Enjoyed it very much!!
Thanks to Stephane and Jonathan and all the staff, Jo beautiful music lots of fun and delicious thank you Line And Christine we will return there guaranteed!!
Magical every time I go to this restaurant, the atmosphere is unique and extraordinary, I highly recommend!
Tremendous
Excellent service, a unique experience in a festive atmosphere. I loved it!
Fun!
An essential in Qc!
Came with my family who is visiting Canada. We enjoyed the food and great service from our servers Laura and Estelle...
I recommend without hesitation! An extraordinary culinary experience, a warm and original atmosphere and above all a welcoming and passionate staff so much so that you want to work there Special thanks to our server Jonathan, my family and I loved our visit to the restaurant
Lovely atmosphere! Warm service all around, and a special thanks to Jonathon for taking great care of us.
Too crowded but fun!!
Clean and warm, perfect service, tasty, nice music. Thank you!
Fast and courteous service. The atmosphere was incredible with the accordionist.
Very good atmosphere with the accordion player! Bella ciao!
DO NOT ORDER ANY OF THE PIZZAS!! DO NOT ORDER ANY PIZZA!!
We loved the restaurant vibe and atmosphere along with the great live accordion performer. The service was equally good. Thats about the only positive things about our dining experience. All 3 ordered meals were not good and wrong. A surf and turf that was ordered medium rare was well done. They did replace the plate. The lobster tail was over cooked to the point the meat was minced as you removed it from the shell. A margarita pizza that had virtually no sauce and was so dry, that it was like a cardboard. No lie. Lastly, a seafood linguini that had next to no seafood. They did not charge us for the pizza, however, I would never return nor would I recommend this restaurant.
The food was HORRIBLE!!! Do not waste your money on this place!! I took a seafood linguine, the seafood was overcooked but barely any seafood. There was no lobster (as In the description), my husband had the surf and turf, he asked for med rare steak, it was well done drowning in gravy and the lobster tail was weird! The flesh was minced. My son took a cheese pizza which was not edible! Maybe they were having an off night or we just got unlucky.
- service : 3/5 - atmosphere : 4/5 - food : 2/5 Overall 3/5, but not worth price of the meals unfortunately
We were wonderfully welcomed, our meals were delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant with the singer-accordionist who hit no false notes. I highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. The ambiance and service was great. Just one recommendation. Pay attention to the portions...either you add more or you reduce the price. The quality of the food was excellent but given the price, we expected a little more. We recommend this restaurant.
Good seafood linguini! Festive atmosphere to the sound of the accordion. Excellent service!
Ill tell you what, frankly: the restaurant Le Parmesan doesnt smell very good. As soon as you walk through the door, it hits you in the nostrils like a baseball bat. Theres a smell floating in there, a mixture of old cheese, garlic and sweat. It s a shock, as if you were entering an old damp cellar full of moldy cheeses. First, there is the smell of parmesan. We all know that parmesan is strong, but at the restaurant Le Parmesan, it s even worse. It floats in the air, it seeps into your clothes, and it follows you everywhere after you go out. As much as you love parmesan, youre never ready for such an olfactory attack. Plus, there s the kitchen side. You have the impression that they dont ventilate anything. The air is heavy, thick with cooking fumes that are infused with all the strongest flavors you can imagine. The mixture of smells of overcooked tomato sauces, grilling meat and all kinds of herbs is too much for sensitive nostrils
Perfect for a date night !
Fun family dinner restaurant with an outstanding accordion player.
Excellent service from Jonathan! Always an experience to enjoy when visiting with friends and family. Its a pleasure to go and eat! I recommend.
Great music, great food, friendly staff. We had a great time with our kids, and sang some songs with the accordion player. Fun place!
Everything was perfect
Incredible service from Gabrielle Roveredo and Stéphane!!!! The food is simply amazing
Very pleasant atmosphere and one of the best customer services in town! Classic Italian food and a solid menu that they execute well. They have an amazing atmosphere and wonderful staff! One of the best. They have a solid Italian menu that they execute well.
Visit in May 2024 for a table of 7 people. The restaurant seems to be built on a business model aimed solely at tourist customers. Being a regular and a fan of Quebec restaurants offering an exceptional culinary experience, this restaurant is simply not worth the detour. Food: I hope for this restaurant that the usual chef was replaced last minute due to illness, because all the people at my table were enormously disappointed by the quality of the food served. Ranging from fried squid, veal, fish and pasta dishes, the dishes were all tasteless. Nobody finished their plate. The pasta appears to be of commercial origin and was overcooked. Price: For an average price of more than $30 CAD per plate, the price is clearly excessive compared to the quality served. It s the kind of bill that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and makes us regret booking. You might as well stay at home and cook a pasta dish that will definitely be worth it. Welcome and service: Positive point of the visit, the service is fast and the staff are generally smiling and friendly. Atmosphere: Restaurant with overloaded and eccentric decor. May please many while it will raise eyebrows for some. Personally, it adds a unique character and the cleanliness is not to be criticized. The accordion player is very friendly and is a huge plus for the atmosphere. On the other hand, considering the overall quality of the experience, we can wonder if this is not simply a marketing tactic...
