Sapristi...bistro bar in Québec City

1st time a year ago: very good, especially the fig pizza. Today: meh. Partner got the arrabiata no gluten, was ok nothing more. The kids menu with tomato pasta was very bland. Took the duck pasta, and that was one of the blandest dishes I ever tried. Duck has taste, a distinctive one, most of the time. It had absolutely no taste, and the sauce or the few tomatoes didnt really help. are good. Will I come back ? Yes, for a pizza, no for pastas.

I really shouldnt complain since we came in late ,Fondue Parmesan was excellent , but pizza tasted like crispy cardboard maybe my fault for not liking thin pizza my sister had the duck pasta and said she enjoyed it overall service was very good

Great food, location and service. Mac and Cheese and Greek salad was very tasty.

David made our stay in Quebec for our wedding anniversary very pleasant after having tried several small bars and restaurants we can say that he is the best

Pizza a little small for the price, but otherwise the pasta is delicious too!

Arrived around 3 PM ish. The restaurant was not busy at all as there were many vacant tables. The server made eye contacts with us, but we stood there for more than 10 minutes without any assistance. Went there as the review was good and the food looked tasty. We left feeling bitter and went to another Italian restaurant that had awesome food and service. They are not going to last long with that kind of service.

Fun place, great food, super friendly and welcoming staff. I would have liked a little more arugula in the salad ( it was veggie heavy; I prefer greens heavy) but mushroom pizza was sooo yummy and the salad was crisp and tasty. Great wine. Lovely ambience overall.

Ive been there twice now and on my next visit to Quebec Ill definitely go back.

Me and my wife went there this evening for the first time. I loved it. I was between La Gaspesienne and Di Mar pasta. My wife had the 1608 pizza. Finally I gave him a taste. We exchanged our dishes. I was expecting a different taste. Maybe a béchamel sauce with that or another white sauce. I loved the pizza. Well come back for sure. Vegetarian options: The 1608 pizza is just perfect and its light.

Everything was normal. There is nothing to give five stars. I think 4 stars is absolutely fair

The food is ok - unfortunately its almost cold. The location is also fine. However, it is the shopping street and therefore the prices are slightly higher. The staff is very friendly.

During our stay in Quebec, where we stayed for two days, we had dinner at this place both evenings! Unfortunately, we were unwell. My wife had a fever. The staff were charming and complied with our requests with courtesy and a smile. We found the place noisy, but when you have a headache its somewhat normal, and its like that almost everywhere in Canada. What we ate, despite the poor choice we made, was very good. Good cuisine, and satisfactory services

After arriving at the restaurant, we were informed that our table was booked and we had to be there in less than 1.5 hours. When we sat down, we were not served and our order was not taken. I was very disappointed when the waitress approached us and informed her that we had been waiting for 40 minutes and no one had served us and we had to hurry. I didnt hear the word sorry, only Im here now. The customers who entered with us at the time of our conversation with the waitress had just received the ordered dishes. I do not recommend this place, they do not respect tourists, if you do not speak French, they will serve you last. I strongly advise against it.

If you ve been to a somewhat decent Italian restaurant before you ll realize just from reading the menu that the food will not be good. Cream sauce in a carbonara? Sausage sauce ? You can t search up a simple bolognese sauce? I had the penne arabiata, penne was over cooked and there was Kalamata olives and feta in it? We re at a Greek restaurant now? granted it said there was those items on the menu but still. And to top it all off they garnish the plate with a lemon? Why lol? But not all was bad service was quick got my drinks in a few minutes and the waitress was great and fast! Good choice of beers also

Got the duck pasta and it wasnt particularly good. My partner got the funghi pizza and that was great. A bit less kid friendly than other places in old Quebec. Kid-friendliness: Was ok, but other restaurants around the area were all more attentive with my kid.

Never disappointed! Various choices, there is something for everyone. The risotto is excellent, the menu is updated and allows for a renewal. The back terrace is charming.

Ordered a pizza for takeout from here late one night in November. Really good pizza that was still hot after the 8 minute walk back to the hotel. We sat at the bar while we waited for the zza and the place had a nice layout and lots of interesting interior design to look at. I do wish we got our pizza faster as it wasnt busy when we went. Tasted good as hell tho.

Very nice restaurant, beautiful decor and good location BUT food that lacks generosity (marguarita very lightly spread with tomato sauce and a few basil leaves which were added before cooking and therefore burnt...), pizzas with very few garnishes. The mac n cheese was good.

Nice restaurant!! Came on a weekday and had an outside seat. 4 stars as the meatballs were very cold on the inside. But once mixed in with the rest of the pasta it was okay!

The prices might seem a bit high at first but once you see the service, the food quality and the portions, it all makes sense. Went there with my mother, got a margherita with truffle fries and it was absolutely delicious. They also bring you a bottle of ice water when you sit down!

The truth is that for the place where the restaurant is located I was surprised by the price of the dishes, much cheaper than the neighbors. The food is delicious but at least in our case it was a little bland, it wasnt a problem because you add salt and thats it, the worst would have been the other way around. In short, a good place to eat in the old town at a reasonable price.

After a full morning and afternoon of touring the city, this was a lovely, quiet spot to enjoy a drink (ask the waiter about the daily creation.....it was a spicy mango margarita on the day we were there), and a light but satisfying cheese board. Jonathan was our waiter and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with this young man. If our stay was longer, we would certainly return. Thank you!

My family and I came here for dinner on Saturday night, and even though the restaurant was packed and we had to wait a while to get a spot, the servers were very friendly. We shared 2 pasta dishes and 2 pizzas, and we enjoyed them all!

We went to dinner, my girlfriend and I, and what a restaurant!!! The food was incredible, 2 salmon linguine and lobster risotto. Generous portion size and had lobster and salmon. Our waitress Marilyne was a gem. Attentive, knows her menu. We had a lot of fun with it. I recommend and we will return without hesitation.

Decent service but we come first for the food and this is clearly not Italian cuisine. Tiny pizza, bad dough and not very tasty toppings. As for the pasta, it is way overcooked and poorly seasoned. In short, big disappointment.

Experience at the restaurant was good

We came for the French onion soup we saw mentioned a few places that this restaurant had was good. Soup was great! We also gor bruschetta- it was a warm take on the dish and didn t taste so good. Bruschetta is great as it is- it doesn t need a new version. Good ambiance. My son loved their soup.

I had spog pollo there and that was amazing! The blend of wild mushrooms, chicken and rest of the meal is amazing! Really nice staff and people :) Also Negroni was tasty and people in the bar know their job very well!

We dined in tonight and the food was excellent. The 1608 flatbread was absolutely delicious.

I had the fig and chorizo pizza my dough was soggy with oil, very disappointing and unpleasant. Plus, the truffle and parmesan fries tasted like plain McDonald s fries. My boyfriend enjoyed the pasta with two salmon.

Great, we arrived after the Dead South show and we ordered a sangria and Greek pizza and it was excellent, the waitress was super pleasant and smiling, I recommend this magnificent place.

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was a complete letdown. The food was the worst part: we ordered pasta and it was very bland, and dry with no gravy. Portions were small for the high price. When we checked the bill they had charged us for things we didn t order. Overall, I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

Nice restaurant in quebec city. The food was great and my family enjoyed it. But Im going to have to say that the service needs improvement. The cleaning is slow, so we waited a while to wait for the table to be cleaned, and the one who was taking our order took a long time to come and ask. Now we waited roughly 40 minutes for the drinks and the food. They came together so you had no drinks to start off. Now let me just say, that if you do want good food, it is worth the wait and bad service!

The mocktails are good and the burratta had nicely caramelized cherry tomatoes. Constructive comment: I would have given 6 stars if there had been focaccia with it haha. We were in the shade (because its hot today) and they were playing the music from tonights show at the FEQ ... Still cool!

While visiting old Quebec, I came across this magnificent square. And what about the decor The service at the start was a little long but it was still quite busy. My spritz was very good and my dish completely delicious and decadent in flavor. Figs and chorizo. Its been a long time since Ive had a good pizza like this. Wowww! I recommend without hesitation.

Its very good and good service but horribly expensive for what it is. Go elsewhere if you care about your wallet because the size of the salads compared to the price ($21) is really not good.

Caesar Salad and arancini where very good!

A secret terrace outback awaits you in this fantastic little bistro on st. Jean street. I had a flatbread which great and really affordable. We also had a Caesar salad with chicken it was also very good. The service was top notch. The atmosphere of the outside terrace brings it all together. Great food! Good value and fantastic atmosphere is the trifecta for this little bistro.

Unfortunately not a good recommendation!!!! Mini pizza well topped but not a nice pizza base, spagetti served carelessly with no taste, everything served lukewarm and completely overpriced!!!! Drinks too!!!!

Fantastic spot! Great drinks and food. Normally in touristy areas one would expect subpar food and high prices, but this was the opposite: delicious food and reasonable prices.

I recently visited Sapristi Resto Bar with high hopes, but unfortunately, our experience was a letdown. We ordered three pizzas: the Margarita, Four Cheese, and Greek. Sadly, the Margarita and Four Cheese pizzas were particularly disappointing. The Greek pizza was the only decent one among the three. The food overall failed to impress, and we felt that our money was wasted. The service was average, and the atmosphere was unremarkable. To top it off, the pizzas were overpriced and undersized.

This is a nice place to stop for dinner when in Quebec City. The food was delicious (although maybe not the most authentic) and we really enjoyed our meal. Our only complaint was that the tables were quite small and packed together but we would certainly go back in the summer and enjoy the patio. Nice selection of pasta and pizzas and the drinks were great!

We had tried food at both their branches and it s one of the most conveniently located restaurants in the heart of Fortified Quebec City.

Restaurant Sapristi is a small restaurant right next to Place dyouville and the fortifications of Quebec City, offering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is an ideal place to meet up with friends or family. The menu is diverse, but they mainly serve pasta and pizza. If you are looking for a good little restaurant without it being expensive, I recommend it.

We ordered the pasta di mare, really tasteless, even with lots of parmesan, salt and pepper. The funghi pizza had a sandy texture, impossible to eat. The squid starter tasted like the freezer. One of the worst meals I have eaten.

Beef tartar is a must! Very authentic and delicious.

We waited 20 minutes to be served, then the waitress brought us our fry starter after 20 minutes. We then waited a total of 1 hour 20 minutes before being served our main meal. The pasta was OK but very dry, and the pizza was served without a pizza knife. We received fries as a waiting gift even though we had already ordered some as a starter. We had asked for bread, which never came. We had waited 15 minutes for water. The wait was very disappointing, especially when we were told that we had to eat quickly when the table was reserved for later. In the end very disappointed, we had come the summer before and the service was very good though

We absolutely loved Sapristi on our recent trip to Quebec City. It was a rainy, miserable night out. We were turned away from another restaurant because we didnt have a reservation (didnt think we needed one on a Thursday night). We happened to pass this beautiful little restaurant, decided to try our luck. Around 7pm, we didnt have to wait. We got the best table in the house with the MOST amazing server, Felix. The food was amazing. We started with a couple of cocktails with arancini, and salmon tartare. So delicious. Then we had a bottle of barolo with our pasta dishes. We ended with a coffee drink and cheesecake. What made the night truly memorable was our server. While our French is very rusty, Felix made us feel like he was serving his family. He took the time to talk to us and show us what true hospitality is. We mentioned to him that his parents raised a wonderful young man. To be able to relate to many age demographics makes him a truly special human. So thank you Felix for making our Thursday rainy day dinner a superb one!
