Le Cendrillon in Québec City

The 11-course discovery menu was truly impeccable! They even accommodated us for an allergy and replaced one dish with another so that we were entitled to our 11 dishes, I recommend!!

Good but too expensive, really too expensive. The biggest problem is the atmosphere, there is a big hubbub. Honestly, it s a shame, there s potential.

Very good food, not plentiful and still expensive. If you are looking for a good atmosphere, this is not necessarily the right place. Lots of hubbub. Its a headache. The service and quality increase the rating. Really too bad about the noise, the ceiling is really very low.

Excellent restaurant in Quebec for a very reasonable price. Special mention on the blind menu certain weeknights for $79 for two people (Nov 2024). The staff is super friendly and gives great advice on wine (very nice selection) and the food is always superb and the menu changes regularly. Perfect place for a little date night at the bar!

Oysters are so small and yet so expensive! They were ok but nothing to rave about. The regular oysters didnt taste like much besides a bit of salt water. The grilled oysters tasted like only the heavy toppings that were placed on top which completely took away any flavour.

My husband and I traveled to Quebec City for part of our honeymoon and had the pleasure of dining at Le Cendrillon. We had an order of oysters and took part in the tasting menu. The oysters were truly the best weve ever had. Everything we ate on the tasting menu was fantastic. The service was great and everyone was very helpful to us English-only speakers :) I highly recommend this restaurant and really hope we will be back someday!

Food and service 10/10. The waiter deduced that it was my girlfriends party (without being told) and brought her a complementary cake! Wonderful evening, I will definitely come back.

Went her for an anniversary meal while on vacation in beautiful Quebec City. What a fantastic place. The atmosphere is great. Extremely friendly and helpful staff - two being the owners. Food was eclectic and fantastic - great tastes and so many choices - any food restrictions could be catered for. Cocktails again eclectic, strong and wonderful. It was packed - every seat taken and when someone left, the place was swiftly filled. The atmosphere - wonderful - it was like a party. The owner even came over with some shots for him and us to celebrate our occasion. Would highly recommend but book in advance to secure a seat.

My husband and I discovered this restaurant a year ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we fell in love with this restaurant. We went back this year and were once again won over. The dishes are delicious, the waiters/waitresses are great and the owner is super nice! We live in the Montreal area but we would be willing to make a return trip specifically to eat at Cendrillon!

My Cinderella party was a great choice. We tried something new and left without regrets, the pork loin was really excellent (we would have had 2-3 plates of it ;)) and the baby potatoes, really a favorite. We had excellent service from start to finish! We will definitely come back :)

Wow, a great experience. The decor is enveloping, the service is perfect and attentive and the food is perfect. Price side $$$ but thats normal because its a high-end restaurant and its really good there. Its nice to pay more and have such a great experience. The cold meats are really good, I ate a hot terrine which she surprised! Small note, the bathrooms are very beautiful!!!

For the first time we were disappointed. Everything was small. Oysters, scallops, shrimp. Glasses of wine too. Only the service was impeccable. There were 4 of us and we shared the same opinion.

Le Cendrillon is one of the best restaurants in Quebec City. The staff is incredibly attentive, the food is innovative and delicious and the atmosphere has a cool but casual vibe. The owner, Joffrey, gave us great suggestions on both the wine and the food. Le Cendrillon is a rising star, dont miss it!

I paid $50 to leave on a half-empty stomach and the people who work there are rude. The doorman insulted me before leaving. I wont go back there again. The Quebecois is cheap in the way he works. You call me a liar instead of trying to understand me. The doorman was alone. Youre the one whos going to stop trying to keep up appearances.

Very pleasant service at the bar on August 2, 2023. Thank you! The cooked oysters were delicious!!! Then, the grilled fish accompanied by Israeli couscous... I couldnt eat a second bite, because I felt like I was eating a spoonful of salt.... So sooo salty!!! The waitress didnt hesitate for a second and ordered another plate. It was a little less salty... Not excellent. The octopus dish was ok. Salty too. Chef, if you dont, please taste your dishes! I didnt experience a big wow. It was my first visit.

Nice experience, nice variety, good service

Jean-Claude Pandan was the perfect cocktail. The fried chicken was good because of the fantastic sauce. The chorizo calamari was great but a little salty. The dome dessert was great. The oysters were good especially with the sauce. Considering how nice the place is they should put more effort with the decor. The music was great though.

Disappointing

Cool looking bar-ish restaurant with amazing foods and drinks. None of foods and drinks I tried here was a failure, except Crispy Pork could have been left with negative personal remark because it was just too salty for my pallet, but ended up enjoyable due to side bread that bartender offered for me before I even started having the pork dish. Not sure if those breads were supposed to come with the dish and that the dish was seasoned while considering those breads on the side. Its a very nice place with an atmosphere somewhere between a bar and a restaurant, and the overall quality of the food and drinks is high. I highly recommend it if you ever stop by Quebec.

I would give more stars if I could. I always go to eat at Cendrillon when Im in Quebec and its always a perfect experience, but when I went there last time, it was even more incredible. Turns out I dropped my wallet and didnt notice when I picked it up that I had lost a good amount of cash that was inside. My friends and I left around 10:30 p.m. to return to the hotel. Around 12:15 p.m. I received a call on my cell phone from a restaurant. Julie tells me they found money under our table. I didnt realize at the time that I had lost him. They could have kept it and I would never have known where I lost it, but the employees put themselves in my shoes and were very honest. Julie spent a good half hour with me on the phone to find out how to return the money, knowing that the restaurant was closed and that I was leaving for Montreal before they re-opened the next day. In the end, our server, Fabrice (who had given us excellent service during the evening), took his time to go and deposit the money at the nearest ATM and give me an Interac transfer. Neither Julie nor Fabrice had to do all that for me. They could have let me make arrangements, especially since it was late. I am incredibly grateful for their help and will, without fail, continue to go to Cinderella every time I am in Quebec. Plus, if you have allergies, they are great about that and always make sure there are no issues with the food you order. Ive never eaten anything there that I didnt like and Ive never had bad service. Its always impeccable. I recommend 200%.

We opted for GOAT CROQUETTES as a starter and as a main course: HOT-SMOKED TROUT/BEURASSE/CORN/GRILLED PEACH/HAZELNUTS & GALICIAN OCTOPUS/ALIGOT WITH MANCHEGO/AÏOLI WITH SQUID INK/SPICED OIL We were seduced and fell in love with each dish. We finished it all off with amazing desserts...the STRAWBERRY/CHOCOLATE/CARAMEL DOME & the BROWNIES/APPLE STRAWS/VANILLA ICE CREAM. It was love at first sight! No need to tell you that we will be going back soon! Thank you for the service and experience!

Second time coming here tonight and I m again Blown away! First experience here was amazing, I literally ordered everything on the menu. The oyster are phenomenal! The Dessert is a MUST! I dont think i ve ever been to a restaurant this good, it my favorite! the dessert tonight was a pudding chômeur with fried porc belly and homemade vanilla ice cream. Sweet, Salty, AMAZING!

Really excellent restaurant. The Nola oysters (grilled over charcoal) are so good, I have never eaten oysters with so much taste. The gravlax is also excellent. The atmosphere and the funky cocktails mean that I will return here without hesitation.

Firstly, we were received very warmly by the staff. Then there was always a good presence of employees (and managers) to ensure that we understood the menu and to ensure that our glasses were always full, whether with water or in our case very beautiful cocktails. Personally I think to really enjoy Cinderella you have to try everything on the food menu, these are what we did and I left satisfied with my partner and my friend for her party!

Excellent restaurant!! We had a perfect evening. From the welcome to the tasting, everything was great. Our server really well described and recommended the dishes to us and managed the order of our dishes. We ate the regular and gratinated oysters, the lonzo, the grilled radicchio, the smoked salmon gravlax, the roasted brussels and the sea bass. Big favorite for the gratinated oysters, the grilled radicchio with its anchovy vinaigrette, the brussels with parmesan mousse and the Jean Claude Pandan cocktail. Thank you for this mixture of beautiful flavors. We cant wait to come back and taste the other dishes.

Very sophisticated and very elaborate cuisine....very nice experience...expensive however....I ordered a glass of wine...unfortunately it was not full enough (half filled) and this was confirmed by other glasses of wine on adjacent tables filled correctly by another waiter.....so I concluded that it was an error on the part of the waitress and not the leak of any restaurant deposit...after reporting the error to the waitress the problem was corrected

Its rare that I can say that EVERYTHING was perfect in a restaurant, but here it really is, the dishes are brilliantly balanced and original. I often go to restaurants and the editorial choice of mixed flavors dazzled me! Visiting from Toronto, coincidentally I had a short rib few days ago at one of mississaugas finest. Well, short rib here is OK, bit under seasoned. To my surprise, presented on plastic red tray that you see at Costco when you grab $1.50 hotdog...definitely not the right way to present a fine cut of beef and a fine dish, hence is the missing other star. I think also thats not hygienic to eat out of a plastic tray. Finally the pint of the local IPA was not that cold and missing 1.5 inch from the top. I started editing this review at 4am after episode of severe heartburn most likely due to the amount of fried onion or shallots piled on top of the cut... that commercial crunchy stuff we buy at Costco in bulk....

The only negative point I had was that there were some customers who were a little noisy but for the rest it was just WOAW!! We had raw oysters, a charcuterie platter and the octopus dish and everything was delicious and the waitress was very friendly and patient. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be happy to return.

I love this restaurant! The food is excellent, the cocktails equally so. The staff is very cool and they all seem happy to work there. I highly recommend the oysters of the moment cooked over charcoal and the cornhub, my two favorites of the evening.
