Salmon dish arrived only slightly cooked. The kitchen took a long time to bring a fully cooked piece of fish back. No offer for compensation but the waiter apologized. Meat lasagna was satisfactory but the portion was small.

Nice surprise as a restaurant. Well located in lower town in an enchanting place typical of old Quebec. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and intimate. We shared a cheese fondue with truffles as a family as well as pasta and salad. It was excellent. The service was fast and impeccable. Jérémie did a job as a waiter worthy of Château Frontenac. I give it a Michelin star alone. We will definitely return. The only downside is that the cocktails are a little expensive for what they offer despite their beautiful presentation. We should have had a second bottle of wine instead.

Rafaella Ristorante in Old Quebec is such a beautiful place! The interior is gorgeous and really captures the old-world charm of the city. We had reservations for 6:00 PM but got hungry after walking around the Christmas markets and decided to stop by early, around 3:30. They were so accommodating and seated us right away, which we really appreciated. The drinks were fantastic, and the Diavolo pizza was so good just the right amount of spice! The whole experience, from the cozy atmosphere to the great service and delicious food, was amazing. Definitely a must-visit if you re in Quebec City! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options, able to customize.

The MIDEST pasta ever (pasta + tomato sauce that comes out of a can) and a cocktail for almost $20? And the service The waiter made us change tables because he had forgotten that this table was already reserved, he forgot to come back to see us for parmesan and didnt really know his menu. He was very nice though! And I must say that the decor is very pretty, a nice little place if it wasnt $80 for a very ordinary meal. After 3 tries in this restaurant I give up the towel

Very very pleasantly surprised! Excellent value for money. Generous plate of beef carpacchio as a starter for only $12. Tasty plate of pasta. Could have been hotter for my taste, I will have au gratin next time, it will come straight from the oven . Beautiful decor and excellent service. Affordable cocktail and bottle of wine. I highly recommend and will return.

Amazing spot in old Quebec. We walked in knowing it wouldnt be easy to get a spot on a Saturday night but the restaurant was very accommodating. Jeremy was our server and he was excellent. The radiatore al ragu pasta was delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wandering the streets of Old Quebec looking for some good Italian food

We popped in last minute but we were able to get a seat at the bar. Our server Jeremy was so nice and attentive! The food was delicious! I had a pizza and my wife had the braised beef Radiatore Ragu. Both were so good but the pasta dish was amazing! We would definitely come here again and hopefully we ll have Jeremy as our server again. He is adorable!

Beautiful room. The broken pizza oven means you have to take something else, thats not a problem. The gnocchi are good, but the dish is not very filling. The prices are relatively high for a quality that is not always there. The restaurant lacks a real Italian identity: in the service and in the atmosphere.

Wish I had taken more photos because the service, especially from Jeremy, was fantastic! He gave excellent recommendations. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan, which was absolutely delicious. I had the rigatoni, but in hindsight, I really wish wed ordered a salad and shared his dish it was that good!

Went with a group of work colleagues and everyone was very happy with their meals and drinks. I had the chicken parmigiana, it was very tasty (and was huge). We had no issues with the service and found the wait staff friendly and attentive.

We discovered this restaurant thanks to Tuango! $79 for 2 people in March 2024. Very good carpaccio starter on the mark! The pomodora fondue was also delicious. If we had not taken the platter of cold meats and vegetables in addition I think we would not have eaten our fill. For dessert I had a decadent pistachio and chocolate canolli. Yum! The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant made me feel like I was at home. Its like an old house with old furniture. Really a great discovery, I loved it!

Very nice atmosphere, pleasant, tables with plenty of space. Polite, but inexperienced service, but thats expected. We forgot the wine and the utensils after the starter. The pizza was excellent, as was the beef carpaccio, but the latter would have benefited from a little more parmesan. The parmesan fondues are not very tasty and the pasta was bland and the tomato sauce was uninteresting. A few small candied tomatoes with fresh basil leaves and fresh parmesan would help. We will go back to try the other pizzas.

This restaurant is a scam. We went there as part of a group trip. This is the first time Ive seen a cook fail cannelloni (with spinach) so badly. Worth a rating of 0. Avoid!

The Mortadella pizza is absolute genius. Lovely to sit outside in the sun with such delicious food. Waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating, hope I can have that pizza again someday.

We had just arrived late from a long but beautiful drive through NH and ME, crossing the border late afternoon, and were rather in need of some choice nosh. We d spotted Rafaella on a recce earlier and popped in to be met by Jeremi. Excellent service from the start, it being late he ensure our group of 4 were booked in so I could scurry back and retrieve the rest of the party. Lovely short pasta dishes, we had one of every kind so we could sample each others dish. Really well made and if anything we could have easily had more. The late hour and weariness prevented dessert but we ll be keen to return. Many thanks guys and particularly Jeremi for seeing us right for our first night in QC. Tres Bon.

Rafaella Ristorante serves excellent Italian food in an amazing atmosphere full of character. Our exceptional waiter, Juneau Emile, provided great service and was very friendly. The unique, historical architecture of the building, and the stone walls and wooden beams in the interior add to the wonderful ambiance. Request a table on the lower level for the full experience. Italy, in the heart of Petit-Champlain, accurately describes Rafaella Ristorante. Highly recommended!

Love, love, love Rafaela s! It was the only restaurant we went back to more than once during our stay in Quebec City. The food, ambience and especially the wait staff were exceptional. Hope to return again in the future. Parking: There is a very small parking lot nearby but it fills up fast. We parked in the payed parking garage a couple of blocks away. Plenty of parking there. Also recommend a taxi or ride share.

I noticed your restaurant on line and really liked the decor, tables and menu. I booked Aug 30 2024 to celebrate my wifes birthday and our anniversary. We arrived at 6 pm to the front door and nobody was there but a sign say to go around the back to the patio. We walked through the restaurant and it looked great but nobody there. We came out the patio which was very busy and nothing like the inside, it was sort of like a big cafeteria. we told the person who greeted us that we had a reservation and would like to go inside. He told us the inside was closed and we couldnt go inside, so we left. We were very disappointed and that basically ruined our special occasion, its not easy to find a table at 6pm on a Friday night.

The food was good but not as described in the menu and not worth the price in the end. The giant cannoli was 3 small ones, the pasta were pennes instead of the ones written in the menu, which was disappointing because we weren t told before we ordered and that would have changed our choices. Drinks were good.

We made an online reservation earlier today as Quebec was crazy busy last night. The system worked and we were shown to our reserved table. Jeremy looked after us extremely well, recommending wine for the meal and being attentive, friendly and polite at all times. Oh, the food - pizza and lasagne cooked to perfection. Thoroughly recommend.

Even after a reservation a month in advance we ended up sitting by the door. Some walk-in had larger tables and just more confortable accomodations. The food is good but nothing to call home about. Standard italian (international) food. Dont expect a fresh made carbonara with egg yolk. Its a good spot for casual food and the food is good. If you go there for authentic italian youll be disapointed

I recently dined at Rafaella Ristorante, and it was surprisingly disappointing. Everyone at our table left feeling dissatisfied. The food was so unappetizing that we had to leave much of it untouched. In fact, an Italian couple at a nearby table also abandoned their meal. After leaving, we grabbed fries from a nearby spot, which were 100% better than what we experienced at Rafaella. I m baffled by how this restaurant has a 4-star rating. To add to our frustration, the manager mentioned he didn t take orders because he is no job responsibilityas server, which felt unprofessional because in busy time customer should not be waiting to place an order and manager has to optimize the situation. Overall, I cannot recommend Rafaella Ristorante. It was a disappointing experience that left us questioning how they maintain their reputation.

We sat outdoors on a sparkling September day, so the atmosphere was ideal and the river views amazing! Service from Felix couldn t have been better. We shared a Salade Jardiniere which was fantastic, and chose the Mortadella pizza because of the pesto, pistachios and spicy honey. Yum. They didn t mind us substituting the main ingredient - Italian sausage for the mortadella. It was delicious, the crust was perfect. I d return in a minute!

CUISINE 9.5 The cuisine is good. The presentation could be more refined. For example, the raw salmon could be placed on the bed of arugula and separated in 2. In the middle, I would have placed 2 small cherry tomatoes to color everything. I always like to have a minimum of 3 colors on my plate. Add to that a mini container of sauce, it would have been perfect. Other than that, the food is good. I will go back. Prices are affordable. THE SERVICE is excellent. Jérémy listens, is very polite and smiling. The service is fast and we especially appreciated Jérémys smile. We will return to see him. ATMOSPHERE Beautiful atmosphere, calm, with music that is not too loud. However, the seat at the back of the restaurant (which looks like old car seats) was much too low. This creates discomfort, especially when eating. It would be preferable to change this bench for a much more rigid and higher bench, at the height of the chairs. If I go back, dont choose this bench to sit on.

Got our bill after waiting maybe 20-30 minutes after being visibly finished and had to ask for it. Then waited another 20-30 and had to ask him to come back over to pay. Magnificent place at the foot of the Château Frontenac cliff. However, location is its one and only strong point. Despite the kindness of the staff, the service is poor and disorganized. A waiter takes the orders...another brings them...but no one clears the tables. Our plates and meals are very ordinary for the price and the waiting time is really very long. After more than 20 minutes...we left without ever having received the childrens desserts. Weird to wait 20 minutes for 2 bowls of ice cream... I dont recommend this place.

Ouffff its not the big tank. Lets say that its a very good restaurant for American Italian fans. But dont send a European there...he will be disappointed. In my opinion, its not worth the cost. For the price paid, the little extra that would have allowed us to pay this price was missing. The parmesan was already powdered...no chips on the carpaccio. The polpette dish...good but my god it was ordinary. My chicken Parmigiano escalope was simple and the pasta was undercooked. My partners pasta dish with mushrooms and truffles had no truffle and it was white mushrooms....Kind of dish that I would have been disappointed to have made at home. Sorely lacking a little wow! In terms of service, the young man was alone for too large a portion of the restaurant (either he was understaffed or the young man doesnt know how to manage himself but Ill give him the benefit of the doubt.) In short, good food but definitely not worth the price. They will have to make improvements to the menu to be able to appeal to Quebecers this winter.

Italian cuisine restaurant located in the old port of Quebec, near the ferry dock. The food is good but not exceptional. The service is excellent and the employees are very courteous and always smiling. The terrace allows us to have a beautiful view of the river and also of Champlain Street.

We were two couples dining out, but our table was neglected for a long time. Despite our attempts to get a waiters attention, he seemed to ignore us, even after noticing us. It felt like he was looking at us with contempt, though Im not sure why. We were planning to spend a lot at that restaurant, but now theyve lost our business. Finally, I looked at him the same way, and we decided to leave the place.

I ordered the mortadella pizza, one of the best I have ever tasted. The waiters were particularly polite and friendly, they placed us on one of the most beautiful terraces in old Quebec with a view of the river, all enhanced by Frank Sinatra music in the background, in short, a very satisfying and less expensive experience than I expected. I wish anyone in the area would stop by and take a look.

We had a great meal, 13 people. All dishes were very good and the service was outstanding. Had the nicest waiter.

Jérémy is a very good server. He was very understanding about my allergies and was very friendly. The meal was excellent, everything I expected.

Nice place. Well, the only quality we could find in him. The waitresses were arrogant and made inappropriate remarks. I even hesitated to finish my takeaway meal. And it s quite expensive for the quality of the meals they offer. You can find better value for money and above all a meal without flies!

Always good and perfect like every time. :) I recommend the spaghetti Bolognese.

Our waiter Louis was a delight and attentive. Great location by the ferry off the St Lawrence River with outdoor seating. Pleasantly surprised by the food.

After making a reservation we arrived and were seated in a corner with the sun in our faces. The restaurant was relatively empty. We asked to be moved under an umbrella. After sitting for 20 minutes with no service and watching the party next to us get a complete wrong meal served to them we walked out. Probably never realized we left.

Unfortunately we went in having good expectations seeing the 4 stars on Google but we left disappointed being the classic fake wannabe Italian restaurant. We ordered 2 pizza that were served barely warm and with a very hard dough. Also one Pasta Rosa with a very disappoint sweet sauce. Since the server also made a mistake taking our order, one member our party also had to wait 10 more minutes to receive their order while we all already received ours. Water was also not refilled once for the entirety of the dinner.

Perfect staff and service. A special thank you to Jérémy who was very courteous and helpful throughout the evening and took great care of us. One of the best servers I have met. The dishes were all delicious and the portions quite generous. Thank you for this good time, we will come back with pleasure to taste the rest of the menu! (Only small problem the fries were slightly overcooked)

First experience and we enjoyed it. What can I say about the fries, they were excellent and crispy, the rest was good. And our server Jérémy, very welcoming, polite and courteous, its good to see new talent like this.

Beautiful restaurant in a very good location. We all loved our plates. The service was good, but a little pushy coming back three times to ask for our main course orders when our starter ordered 20 minutes ago isnt even there yet. The restaurant was 25% full so no reason to rush us by bringing us the dessert menu and asking us if we would like coffee or dessert when someone at the table hasnt even finished their main course yet. Ive read in other reviews that the service was slow, but for us it was the complete opposite. It was very fast, very attentive, but a little pushy. Small point to improve: the tables in the outdoor section move a lot because the paving is not even. It would be appropriate to adjust the tables accordingly. All in all, I recommend this restaurant for a nice summer afternoon.

This was our second time here and we had great food and service the first time. I decided to bring my wife for her birthday with some friends. The service was bad, the food was just ok. All 6 of us were disappointed. My wife got sick during the night. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. PS : your cacio e pepe was Not made with pecorino Romano but with parmesan cheese. Being a Roman, this is unacceptable and destroyed the dish. I even had to add pepper as well. Grazie milles

The welcome and service were good despite the small errors due to the teams lack of experience. Antipasti was good but for the rest, the quality for the price is not there. Nice atmosphere considering that its lively and touristy in the area.

Very nice welcome! We tried the pizza, deliciously good, the pasta was very good and the steak incredible! Desserts and starters too. Very nice experience :)

Meal ordered, my pizza was missing an item and when I received my plate, I notified and thats when I learned that they had more. The taste was quite ordinary and having known before I would not have taken this choice of pizza. A little disappointed with the experience.

The restaurant is perfectly located, and the burrata was simply AMAZING. The service was impeccable, with perfect advice on the wine, which was delicious! And the icing on the cake: they offer Aperol Spritz in slushhh!

We went to eat at this restaurant for the first time today and honestly, everything was perfect, the food, the service (thanks to Marie-Pierre and the whole team) the location...a must. We will come back to that.
