This was a wonderful dining experience. The servers/chefs are so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. Inventive and well-executed. We had 1 of the meat tasting menu and 1 of the vegetable tasting menu so we could try it all. Both were great. We also had a couple drinks that were very tasty, including one left to the discretion of our server/chef/mixologist :)
Went here for a fun experience and left absolutely glowing. You’re greeted so warmly coming in, with every chef working as a server as well creating this really cool harmony within the restaurant. I saw them make everything in front of us and each dish was explained throughly. Highly recommend a wine pairing since their wine choices are super unique. My biggest thing I’ll take from this restaurant is how open and warm all the chefs were. Fantastic people and fantastic cuisine, if you’re looking for a fun and full sensory experience, I highly recommend!!
What a wonderful experience! The food, drinks, service, and care received were all top notch. Arvi exceeded our expectations! Thank you for the wonderful service, incredible food (best halibut we've ever eaten), and lovely evening. PS - Bonus points of the insane amount of local ingredients used. This was really fun for a non-local to learn about what is grown/produced in this region!
Excellent service, I appreciated how all the servers were able to accommodate us by presenting each dish and wine pairing in English - the team was kind and passionate about what they do! The experience of watching them create dishes in front of you is great as well with casual music and a trendy/upbeat atmosphere - fine dining without the pretentious or stuffy environment - well done! Food was great! A few dishes we loved, a couple were not quite to our taste - but were well executed and may be to others taste. As a place with a rotating/seasonal menu, I would certainly not hesitate to come back and try more dishes!
Was lucky enough to visit this gem of a restaurant and felt compelled to write a review right away! The tasting menu was the perfect variety of fresh seasonal ingredients- tastes from all over Quebec- and probably the best vegetarian tasting menu I have ever had. The service was second to none- everyone very warm, inviting, laid back, and knowledgeable. The music was also spot on! I can’t say enough about this restaurant- it was very memorable!
ARVI highlights local products, making it ideal for tourists. Dishes were a good mix of novel combinations and more conventional dishes, the strange and the familiar, all with great technical execution. There was no separation between FOH and BOH; service was friendly and attentive even though everyone had to juggle cooking and serving. Every table had a view of the kitchen in the center of the restaurant. Pacing of the meal was slow and relaxed, around 2.5 hours for the five courses. In NYC we get politely shoved out the door after 90 minutes for a 5-course meal, so this surprised me. Overall, an excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.
One of the best service and food experiences we've ever had. The chef's act as the servers and were welcoming from start to finish. One of the most personable services, with a custom menu built to fit our dietary restrictions. The food was incredible both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Easily one of the best restaurants in Quebec City. Look forward to returning the next time we visit the city.
Simply incredible. While the food was some of the best we've ever had, and the execution was flawless, I have to give praise to the outstanding service. We loved how casual our servers were, who changed throughout the night and were also the chef's, busboys, runners, dish, etc. The Team environment is worth raving about.
Excellent restaurant with outstanding meals and exceptional service. We went as a couple to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were very spoiled, the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it and we will definitely return! Vegetarian options: Very original and delicious dishes!
Very disappointed with my experience at Arvi, I wanted to go there for a long time but big disappointment. Although the service was excellent, the food was bland and no wow factor in the tasting menu. The eggplant dish was the most disappointing. The only wow I had was for the foie gras that we had as an extra, and which was not in the tasting menu. Few interesting choices of cocktails on the menu also for the aperitif. In short, unfortunately I do not recommend this restaurant which seems overrated to me if I rely on the reviews I read before going there. For the same price or even less, I have had excellent meals in other restaurants in Quebec.
Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience for us. Bland and tasteless food. Ordinary wine food pairing. The dishes lacked generosity, we added oysters and foie gras to the tasting menu and that was lucky because that would not have been enough. On the other hand, the foie gras was exceptional. Very good service, but this restaurant, the evening we went there, did not reflect the positive comments nor the title of best restaurant in Canada.
Recently dined at Avri, and it was exceptional. The menu was a culinary experience with beautifully presented dishes and standout flavors like never before. Service made you feel like you were at home. Friendliest and kindness team made the experience even better! I highly recommend Avri for a lovely dining experience!
What more can I say, its out of the ordinary, everything was perfect, the food and the wine pairing, and all the little touches from the owner, to discover and thank you again for this beautiful evening
Very nice evening! The cuisine in the middle of the tables, the decoration, the service by all the members of the staff (everyone does everything!) is quite nice, they sit down with us (when possible) to explain the menu to us, it Its intimate and never seen anywhere else. The menu is local and seasonal, its beautiful and good. The pairings are sublime with real discoveries. Playing the local card, I would have just expected to give pride of place to Quebec vineyards to remain consistent in the proposition but the international selection remains very good. A real experience!
Excellent value for money. Popular and busy neighborhood restaurant. Excellent tasting menu with wine pairings. Super friendly staff. They take us elsewhere and that s what I appreciated the most. However, writing that it s the best restaurant in Canada or even in the province is an exaggeration ..Travel a little!
Do not pay for wine pairings. Food was good but not exceptional. Dining room is crowded and noisy. Not worth the hefty cost.
A little treasure in Limoilou. Great discovery. Thanks to the whole team.
Culinary experience and a perfect team
A treat, perfect welcome, exceptional service. All the dishes we tried were delicious. Food and wine pairings in harmony! A wonderful evening in a restaurant where we will definitely return very soon!
Loved the experience. Great food and great service in a cute neighborhood. Must try. Will definitely be back for a special occasion. Not for children. Vegetarian options: Full menu
Absolutely horrible. This was the worst dining experience of my life. Please do not trust the reviews from local guides who are in South America. We had the tasting menu and had to pay for the entire meal in advance, $110 per person. Had we not, we would have walked out immediately. The dining room is very small and not modern. We were given a table for four that was two misaligned two tops put together. We were literally ON TOP of the kitchen, and could feel the heat from the stove. There was no waiter, the food was brought over by the cooks and the parsing was terrible. Had to pay supplemental charge for the bread and butter (which was very good) and the foie gras (which was also good, but sliced about as thin as piece of deli meat. Nothing special about the cocktails. We asked to taste some white wine and my colleague and I both made the same sour face the second we tasted it. The portions are incredibly small and there is no beef or chocolate on the menu. The watermelon granita made it too cold to taste the tuna, which I had problems finding, probably by design. The Halibut and roast carrot was good. The eggplant dish was tasteless. The small slice of Gunieafowl was good and cooked properly, but the sauces were very simple and did not go well. Dessert was a small round piece of apple cake. In summary, the ambiance was terrible, service was terrible, some of the dishes were OK but otherwise completely lackluster, the portions were too small even for a tasting menu, and they saved much on food costs by using mostly vegetables and poultry. The price was MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE and this restaurant poses as a fine dining establishment though most of the staff do not appear to know anything about wine or food.
Excellent meal and service! We really fell in love with the foie gras starter, the halibut dish and the brownies for dessert! I cant wait to go back there when there is a new menu!
Local, refined and original cuisine. Harmonious food and wine pairing with great discoveries. A friendly and above all passionate team
Exceptional experience every time! All the dishes are of incredible quality and what can I say about the service. The best restaurant in Quebec for sure! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian menu is excellent. We always take the classic and veggie version to taste the whole menu.
Very warm. We were a group of eleven who came from Gatineau and the chef came to see us. The cooks do a great job and with a smile. If there is a restaurant that I recommend 100% here I recommend this one. Warm, nice atmosphere eey good food.
Would be nice for half the price, but at $500 for 2 people with a food/wine pairing with a cocktail, the experience is clearly lacking on all levels.
Ah what a discovery!!! Of course one of the best restaurants in Canada I am not the first person to appreciate it. But Roxanne, Thomas in the square because there are two of them :), Pierre-Antoine, Antoine (the discreet one) and obviously Julien, what a magnificent team, they took the time to chat about wine, food, music. Not counting the food of course, that goes without saying! I recommend wine pairing!
Food was so so, some dishes were more memorable than others. However the main reason for the lower score was two of the employees last week, one located by the stoves, and another serving the dishes, were coughing and sneezing nonstop over the course of the 2 hrs we were there. They would frequently go into the back kitchen to blow their nose while cooking and serving. I did notice them rinse their hands but when theyre actively coughing while cooking, it had my wife and I concerned during the meal. Fast forward 1.5 days later and sure enough I had an annoying cough that has now progressed into full blown congestion and fever. Now I realize its hard to pinpoint where you get sick from, however considering that I rarely get sick, and the poor food safety practices we witnessed, and symptoms appearing shortly after, its hard not to be concerned.
Excellent restaurant. The food is very good. The service is perfect! The wine is perfect! Everything is 5/5 I love the concept.
But what a restaurant! What a concept! What an evening! Everything is there, the wine, the dishes, the service...you have the impression of going to friends but it remains fine. Discover the menu once there. And this bread with this butter! Even the knives (opinel) are fancy. We will come back to fall in love with you again ARVI.
Service was exceptional
Great experience. One if the best restaurants we have tried in Canada. Both food and service are top.
What an extraordinary experience, wow! The dishes are a delicious adventure. Each server is fantastic, they tell the story that goes with each dish, with each wine.
Great food, very nice staff especially Thomas. The bread is incredible, and the truffled butter is to die for. Thanks for the surprise and see you soon!
Modern gastronomy, welcoming and professional staff. Just fun. This restaurant deserves all the praise possible

Amazing food and great service!
An absolutely delectable and delicious experience! Both for the atmosphere, the service and for the food. It s a real favorite. I will go back there for sure. Even the bread and butter is incredible, it s an essential during your visit.
The Butternut squash plate was a pure delight!!! A beautiful gourmet destination!
Nice service. But we didn t enjoyed our food, the portion size of 5 courses tasting menu are small, chicken dish as a $88 menu s main course are unacceptable, we will not return back.
Innovative and playful - enjoyed everything! Merci.
Having been to several restaurants of this caliber in Quebec, the dishes are a little too simple for the price, and the quantities are really too small. I ate again once I got home, its not normal. However, the service is great and the atmosphere is ok.
Excellent gourmet restaurant in a super lively corner of the city. The service is done by the cooks and the kitchen is open air. For someone who loves food like me, being served by the cooks is fantastic because you can geek out with them and they have answers to all your questions! The food is impeccable, the products exceptional, and the taste combinations surprising and intelligent. I highly recommend and we will definitely return!
Absolutely stunning food and matching natural wines. Loved the Savoie influence!
Excellent discovery in Vieux Limoilou. 5-course dinner of surprising quality, food pairings with very delicate and refined local ingredients. Some of the best food in Quebec. Service OK. Easily accessible. Open kitchen and tables among the counters, so very pleasant experience.
Exceptional service and incredible dishes prepared by such an experienced team. Amazing!!!
Our experience was simply perfect. The menu is of high quality, we ate at our own pace and always accompanied by excellent service! Although a little expensive, the experience is worth it.
Super nice culinary experience and the employees are super friendly An experience to try. I recommend it
The food was most excellent, the pairing was perfect, the service impeccable and friendly. A must!
Great restaurant!
Amazing service! Unique experience being able to watch the chefs cook and assemble dishes and that chefs are also front of house staff. Food was delicious and fresh. Wine pairing was excellent. Would highly recommend! Food
Such tasty food, best service we ve had in quite sometime. Shout out to the only female chef in the house/ our favourite server. They give you all the time you need to eat and hang out. We sat in one of the tables essentially in the kitchen and watched the food prep right beside us. They even come out to say goodbye when you leave. 100% recommend. Loved it. We got the veggie 5 course menu but wish we could have included some fish dishes as we were jealous of the lobster Vegetarian options: Had an entire veggie coursed menu
Being chosen as one of Canada s top 100 restaurants. My expectations were very high and sure they did not disappoint. The service was very personal and great, the wine selection was too good and it was a great experience to eat while you look at the kitchen. The food, though it was inventive and innovative, the flavours did not add up well and it did not hit the spot. I tried the vegetarian menu but the regular menu might be the best bet.
Total disappointment, there were 12 of us and everyone was very disappointed. Bad evening for them perhaps but with a bill of +~$2500 we ate better in most of the restaurants we went to and most often for much less. If at least the wine had been good, it would have been less worse...
Best meal in years with superb ambiance and fantastic Chef!
Very nice culinary experience, we had a great time!
Wonderful dining experience! Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly.
We had the tasting menu it was amazing Chanterelle mushrooms- recommend St Lawrence shrimp- recommend Halibut - the best dish of all Stuffed strawberries and tomatoes - ok it cleansed the palate Lobster bisque - very good Veal - second to the halibut Rhubarb dessert - very nice Great bread Too full and satisfied to have coffee after A wine pairing would have been great but we had cocktails earlier
This restaurant is excellent. Every dish was great and the service was even better. The servers (who are also the bartenders and the chefs) were extremely knowledgeable and nice. We were not rushed at all. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.
A real experience that we lived this evening by shaking up the codes of catering (our codes...) we were delighted to let ourselves be led through the 5 plates and the finely selected wine pairing to accompany. Thank you to your entire team for the service and discussions!
Food was not just unique it was amazing. A must go for Quebec City. Some of the most interesting combination of flavors we ve ever tasted and it worked perfectly along with excellent wine pairings.
All around, a great and unique neighborhood experience in Quebec that gets you out of the touristy areas. We spent a great 3.5 hours there working our way through the 5-course menu with add-ons that brought it to 9. Excellent wine pairings and incredibly friendly and fun staff.
Simply incredible from star to to finish. Amazing attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Excellent service, even better food. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu was banging Food : 5/5 |
Just amazing. The person that serves you is the cook, the busboy, the server and the sommelier (yes, all in one person). The food is cooked next to you, its fresh, vibrant and delicious. The wine/drinks pairings are accurate and just makes the meal come together. Cant wait to go back to Quebec City to try it again.
Amazing, delicious gourmet food! We took all 5 courses and didnt regret it! Excellent service and friendly staff :) Food
An unforgettable evening experience! The proximity of the chefs and the attention paid to all the details surrounding the meal are quite remarkable. P.s. try the foie gras.
The service was excellent. The tuna and scallops were succulent. Blueberry dessert, perfect. We shared for $18, a very small mushroom starter (Matsutake). Very expensive for a few pieces of mushrooms. We opted for the food and wine pairing option. For $120, we were more than disappointed. Three choices of Quebec wines for this price seems too high to me. Finally, for a bill of $460, I dont think I got my moneys worth. All in all, a difficult bill to digest!
I would give 10 stars if I could! This was a truly special experience. The service was impeccable. The food was mind-blowing! Locally sourced, top-quality ingredients. Carefully crafted into masterpieces on a plate. The entire team was knowledgeable and welcoming. I hope to go back to Quebec City so I can dine at ARVI again. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates excellent food.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Food quality compares to 2* Michelin in Europe. ARVI features a 5-course tasting menu. The dry-aged duck breast with smoked carrot and ginger-carrot chutney was probably the best duck preparation I ve ever had. Tender, perfectly cooked meat supremely complemented by the sides. The riff on a Pavlova for dessert was again, among the best desserts I ve ever had - think a super-moist, blueberry filled jelly donut encased in a maple cookie, encased in a meringue and topped with whipped cream. Just to die for! The preparations of the various dishes are creative, thoughtful and well executed. Smoke, umami and savory flavors juxtapose with both soft and crunchy textures in the various dishes. And five courses is perfect. You can go for a vegetarian track if you don t want proteins and there are options to add oyster, mushroom or foie gras courses as you wish. The wine pairing is similarly thoughtful and well composed with several Quebec wines featured. Service is outstanding. It s an interesting concept as everyone does everything - I saw one gal shucking oysters and 5 minutes later she was mixing a cocktail. Casual vibe with exposed brick and the staff wearing ARVI t-shirts. Price points are exceptionally reasonable so, given the food quality, the QPR (Quality-Price Ratio) is off the charts (in the diner s favor). Honestly, one of the top restaurants in North America! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:-)
Great dining experience! We will definitely return!!
Super dinning experience. Food was delicious. The tuna was the highlight!
Impeccable! Delicious. A culinary and wine experience. We opted for the food and wine pairing, excellent option. Everything was perfect.
Exceptional. 5 varied services, with local, fresh ingredients of impeccable quality. Relaxed atmosphere and impeccable service. An experience to live!
Very good restaurant. The open kitchen is great.
We had a very good experience here. The food was quite good, the service was friendly, and the space was relatively attractive. I recommend this place, with caveats. Perhaps I set my expectations too high. For the price point, everything should be flawless. My comments are not complaints, just observations to guide other diners so they know better what to expect. One thing that is more than a nitpick is that the left wall (brick) in the restaurant is lit with modern tubular lights that I found very harsh. I was facing that wall, and really regretting it. They should be turned lower significantly, or better yet, replaced with bulbs that have a much lower value on the warmth scale. (These were about 6,000K, whereas a 3,000K would be much less harsh on the eyes.) It contributes to a modern aesthetic that is too cold. The music playlist was varied, and occasionally a bit too hip-hop for my taste. This is an individual taste and not a general complaint. Most of the dishes were excellent. I would recommend the add-on of the foie dish if it is available. It was really memorable and decadent. The portion sizes are spot-on, and generally well-balanced. On the night we were there, one dish, the tuna, lacked seasoning and was visually unappealing. But the fish was perfectly cooked. It just lacked visual appeal and taste. I found the informal service manner of sitting with the patrons on the banquette, or squatting while conversing with the diners to be a bit odd. I suppose it is meant to express a casual friendly hospitality, but it didnt work for me. But a chacun-a-son-gout as they say. Enjoy!
Well-crafted, original and tasty dishes. Impeccable and unpretentious service. A caring, meticulous and passionate brigade. Certainly one of the best restaurants in Quebec.
We had an exceptional experience at ARVI. Personalized and A1 service. Everyone was really friendly and knew the menu very well to present the dishes to us and advise us on the drinks. The 5-course menu was sophisticated, unique and excellent. Favorite for the salmon starter, the lamb main course and the Jerusalem artichoke dessert (WOW). I recommend 100%
If you want to have a culinary experience... every plate there is a masters work...
Excellent
Great dining experience, we enjoyed it with the deal.
Gastronomic dishes with unparalleled flavors and a warm atmosphere are the words that come to mind to describe this magnificent restaurant with an already established reputation. The kitchen is located in the center of the restaurant which is a must to be able to observe the execution of the dishes, the table service done by the cooks themselves, they come to give you a description of each of the dishes they serve you and even for the presentation of the wines if you choose the food/wine pairing which I strongly suggest. An evening of 5 courses and you can add to that if you feel like adding starters, for me it was the foie gras, the specialty of the place, and the oysters from Prince Edward Island, absolutely perfect. succulent, it was a great addition to a beautiful evening. This was followed by 5 equally tasty dishes. The range of alcohols and digestives is vast, with something for everyone. Cozy atmosphere, friendly, warm service, nothing stuffy. I strongly recommend trying it at least once to have a great evening with lovers or friends. Long life to ARVI
A very nice experience. Ingredients and cooking from here! We had high expectations and they proved to us correctly. The food is a delight. Each wine and the beer for dessert were an excellent choice. The service and chef-to-table concept is fresh and different. ARVI is then a unique experience not to be missed. Thank you for a lovely evening!
This was our third evening at Arvi and the experience is still sublime. The atmosphere, the food, the service, the wine, everything is impeccable. Thank you for your magnificent work. We hope to return this summer.
Words fail me to describe the dining experience that ARVI offers... Each dish, from the ceramics, to the sauces, to the presentation, to the wine pairing, demonstrates a thoughtful desire for excellence culinary. Julien and his team certainly know how to create an impeccable dinner! Go for it without hesitation!
Such a disappointment, even at normal prices I d think it was underwhelming. Literally the most expensive place I ve been to and truly forgettable food. Excellent service though.
An environment of creativity, and dishes and glasses served by enthusiasts. Excellent!
Incredible service and food. Up there with one of the best meals I ve ever had. 10/10
Can there be a better restaurant than Arvi? A culinary experience of perpetual discovery and refinement. A totally fair food/wine pairing. Well done!
A completely incredible experience. Their product knowledge is precise and well-developed. Each service is accompanied by a piece of history referring to the producers. The emphasis on local products is very well executed and the dishes are both sophisticated and succulent. Its easily one of the best restaurants in Quebec and Quebec, if not the best. Chef Julien Masias concept, focusing on team synergy, is simply brilliant. Each employee is at the same time, dishwasher, cook, host and server. If you drop your fork on the floor, it may well be the Chef who replaces it for you.
The concept is attractive but its articulation ends up detracting from the experience for those who wish {while enjoying the excellence of the cuisine} to hold a conversation with their guests. The idea of having the proposed wine detailed, then the dish, then the wine, the dish, the wine, the dish, the wine, the dish, the wine, the dish, and hearing everything repeated at the same time table next door, next door, next table; while having the misfortune of being seated too close to the vast dish cupboard where a constant ballet of waiters takes and puts away the utensils, glasses and other necessities... ends up saddening the beauty of the plate and cast a shadow over the remarkable creativity of the gastronomic proposal. And in this regard, make no mistake: the 5 services were very well executed! However, the wine pairing is less happy here and there, without tarnishing the contents of the plate. In short, a restaurant that is worth visiting at least once, but which is not very inviting for those who aspire to eat well while enjoying the presence of their table partners. Arvi is in itself an event, a form of spectacle. You must take this into account when reserving a table.
I have rarely eaten so well. The food was creative, extraordinary, very well executed and well presented. And at the same time, I couldnt wait to go home! The service was very well intentioned, but it was too much, way too much! Too much presence, too many explanations, too much back and forth. Well intentioned, but too much. Nice concept, but a few adjustments to the service would provide a completely different experience, which I recommend.
An unforgettable experience, fine cuisine, fresh local produce, in short, faultless, masterfully orchestrated by a team of chef-waiters at the same time! Congratulations to the chef-owner for this great concept and for the welcome he gives to each table! I will come back very soon!
My wife and I had an incredible dinner here on Saturday. Every bite of food was delicious and the servers/cooks/bus persons(they all do everything) made the experience one the best weve ever had. They offer two fixed menus, with 5 courses, one with animal protein and one for vegetarians, as well as some extras to have as starters. They also offer a wine pairing option, which we also had. They describe each wine/winery/wine maker, and the ingredients and preparation of each course. This was not just a meal, it was an experience. I highly suggest making a reservation if you visit Quebec City.
What an experience! If you havent been, you must go. One of the best restaurants in Canada. The vibe is sophisticated, but casual and fun at the same time. The chefs play the role of a chef, server, and sommelier. They do it all! They do a great job of explaining the food, and do a great job of pairing each course with wine. And the food! Its creative, inventive and delicious. The flavours come together perfectly. You get to choose between 2 set menus (one is a vegetarian option). Im not vegetarian, but chose that as an option to try something different, and no way did I feel like I was missing meat! We cant wait to visit Arvi again when were back in Quebec City.
wow, what a treat. such talented people working here, would love to come back
I worked in restaurants and I consider myself a somewhat difficult customer...wow a big 10/10 the concept, the taste, the service, the creativity and the quantity/price. Thank you very much to the whole team for this PERFECT culinary evening We will definitely come back!!!!
Arvi is a thoughtful restaurant with a unique take on fine dining. The staff all wear many hats - they each take part in being servers, sommeliers, dishwashers, and bartenders. The food was fresh, although I felt it could use some elevation to bring out the whole fine dining experience.
We went to eat with colleagues and my God.... the experience... was breathtaking. The food is absolutely amazing, the service just Wow , passionate people. Im going to save money for my next romantic dinner and its sure to be there.
True hospitality from start to finish! $88 fish & seafood tasting menu is the citys best value for the absolute best, tastiest food and service! We added foie gras ($20) and bread with truffle butter ($2!!!!! Excellent value!) Cocktails are bespoke (customized to your flavour preferences). Even sitting right beside the kitchen, you dont/wont smell like the restaurant or cooking odour afterwards! They easily accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions by subbing a vegetarian course. Thank you to the whole team. Very deserving of the Top 100 in Canada designation!
The gastronomic experience was perfect. Certainly the best foie gras as well as the veal rice, it was sublime. The very warm welcome and service, a memorable evening. Thanks to the whole team!
Amazing dining experience! From start to finish everything was incredible. Trying the foi gras sandwich to start is a must!
Really delicious service excellent place impeccable only pleasure and good tasting tasty explosion for your taste buds Vegetarian options: Just wow for vege and regular
One of the best experiences in Quebec City. An exquisite experience and such well-arranged products hats off to the whole team behind this work!
Nice atmosphere, too bright perhaps. Friendly chef.
Impeccable service. Exceptional food quality and always innovative. Everything is presented in a friendly, but serious manner. One of the best addresses in Quebec.
Very nice experience! The food was fantastic! I recommend 100%
Sublime!
More than perfect!!! Favorite since 2020! Excellent dishes, unparalleled service!
The dishes were delicious but the portions were small. Following a 5-course menu, I was still hungry!
Excellent, especially the blackened apple cider, excellent service, very attentive people
How to master your art perfectly. Hat!
Amazing food, amazing serve amazing place.
Unique experience. Food/wine pairing. Its worth the detour...and the cost!
Among the best restaurants I tried in Canada, we had a truly perfect evening Whats great is seeing the super close-knit team cooking with unparalleled organization, all the staff were adorable, attentive, relaxed, took the time to explain the dishes to us carefully. The cuisine: so fine, with local and seasonal products, mastered to perfection. Its truly a memorable restaurant, if you go to Quebec, dont hesitate for a single second!
What a inventive and exquisite tasting menu I had at Arvi. Every course served was a delicious journey through Quebec. The menu showcases their respect for the ingredients and also how talented their staff is! I also loved the concept and the opportunity to speak with different members of the team, all of them shared an interesting aspect about the preparations and ingredients. I decided to go with the wine pairing and it was just amazing to discover how many good wines and ciders there are in the Quebec region. A place to come back many many times!
Attentive service and very friendly staff. Warm atmosphere. In the absence of the chef, his team rose to the challenge wonderfully. The dishes are sophisticated and tasty. Very nice selection of Quebec wines. A discovery in Quebec!
The food and the atmosphere is really famous, I ate like a god and the wine pairing is great
Super nice family experience, very beautiful discoveries, all different, it was an evening filled with happiness. Welcoming staff and all very competent to redo and recommend this great restaurant. Well done
Came here for their tasting menu, really enjoyed the truffle infused butter and oysters with shallot vinegar. The service was really good and enjoyed the ambience.
Very nice experience! Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and delicious, bold dishes! I recommend
Original and refined cuisine! A friendly and attentive team. An experience in itself.
A restaurent with strong personality, from the flavour choice to the cooking style. Highly recommend to those that able to accept different kind of taste.
Very good table but I cant give 5 stars. I would give 5 stars for these reasons: The restaurant is magnificent and contemporary. The concept that the kitchen is practically in the dining room to watch the chefs cook, set up the plates, serve the tables is brilliant and impressive. The dishes are executed to perfection. I would give 3 stars for these reasons: For $380 for two 5-course menus with wine pairing, two starters, 2 aperitifs and provisions, I would have expected a little more daring and creative cuisine. We didnt have so much flavor explosion, WOW. Everything was executed to perfection but we did not want or know how to take risks to make this occasion an unforgettable experience worthy of the price of the bill. Thats why 4 stars.
Definitely worth it! I really recommend the wine pairing, its rare that they are so relevant. The service (everyone seems to do everything, both in the service and in the kitchen) is perfect, you can see that they are passionate about what they do.
Enjoy your dinner! Good service! Good concept! Very nice evening!
Impeccable service and the wow dishes are truly delicious. The best restaurant I have eaten at
Lived up to expectations. Memorable dining experience!
Excellent service, unique concept, great food! Nothing more to say!
Great food and service
Inventive and impeccable cuisine. Attentive service. Interesting concept with the kitchen in the heart of the space and the cooks/waiters who serve us in turns. My new favorite restaurant in Quebec.
Disappointment. Some dishes are excellent but considering the price I expected a lot more. The dishes are not very generous and it seems to me that the cuisine could be more creative and distinctive. The dishes lack garnishes and vegetables. The food and wine pairing is not harmonious and not generous. The service people ask our opinion but are closed to all criticism. In short, its way too expensive for the experience. The service is good but pompous. I think its easy to find better in Quebec and at a lower price.
Definitely worth doing again! A unique experience! Well done!!
Excellent ! Impeccable and warm services, great concept, pleasantly surprised! Congratulations to the whole team !!!
For the price the portions were not generous enough fortunately I took bread, but still a great experience.
Excellent food and great experience , but unfortunately not amazing ... the execution is almost perfect but the service is ok ... a special mention to Cedric he his an excellent server ! The rest of the team deliver a very clinical service and lack a little bit of warm . On Google you can see some recent picture of the team wearing A mask unfortunately not of this equipment seemed at the time of our visit ...
This place was incredible in every respect. So impressed with the attention to detail and the personal care that was given throughout the evening. The interaction with the chefs/servers (one and the same) is *almost* even better than the food which is not a slight on the food whatsoever. Not many people are mentioning how wonderful the cocktails are but allow them to prepare some for you and you wont regret it. Finally, the price point for this kind of experience is very reasonable in my opinion...
We had an incredible experience at Arvi. I would opt to give it a 4.5 / 5, but I am rounding down only because I wouldnt say its perfect. The experience was one of the most memorable Ive had at a restaurant. The chefs are young, interesting, and passionate. They explain each dish and recommended my fiance and I order one vegetarian and one meat tasting menu so we have even more variety. They also made some exquisite craft cocktails -- most notably the rhubarb gin based one! The flavours of the dishes didnt blow my mind away. I cant detail one dish that really stood out to me as a favourite, although each one was unique; which is the only reason why its not a 5. I would highly recommend this restaurant though since the service, experience, and quality of the food was top notch.
A must for foodies in Quebec / Limoilou
Wow!! What more can we say, perfect concept, sophisticated food and pleasant atmosphere.
I would have liked to give it a 5 star, at least for the effort, the impeccable service and the concern to present fresh products from Quebec. All these points were to their credit, well done! However, I was quite disappointed by the dishes (except the rabbit which was divine), although very well presented. For example, the shrimp starter was unfortunately a failure. The special flavor of the fresh Sept-Iles shrimp was spoiled by the marinated kohlrabi garnish. Finally, the food and wine pairing selection was disappointing, I can say I only enjoyed one glass out of 5. Overall, I find that the price paid was too high for the expected quality, but thank you for the experience.
We were disappointed with the service and compliance with health rules, one of the waiters removed his mask a few times when he spoke to us at the table. The experience in itself is pleasant but nothing more. Not worth the price we paid....
Creative dishes, great services.
The food is really good. Its an open kitchen concept and the chefs are bringing the food to your table. Loved it. !!! We took the wine pairing experience an all of them were on spot.
Great teamwork, attentive service, we taste with our eyes and then its just wonderful in the mouth!!! Thank you for this experience!!!
High gastronomy and personalized service
5 dishes selected for you. Food is amazing and the wine is a perfect match. Superb decoration.
Sometimes when a journey to another country or city offers new experiences in culture, history and the culinary the results are similar. A visit to Old Quebec City was sensational. With AVRI Restaurant, the creative process of their epicurean presentation was unusual, deliciously unexpected, exceptional variations that delighted with every savory bite. From thinly sliced salmon lightly dressed with cucumber and a cream sauce to eggplant prepared distinctly unique to duckling tender and tasteful followed by the culmination of sweet Fall strawberries in a dessert. The 7 course offering included a summary of each dish from different personnel making this evening memorable for returning visits to Canada
Absolutely unique and extremely personalized customer service. Absolutely incredible dishes (the cod is divine), perfect portion, perfect pace and imported wines chosen and admirably matched with the dishes. The best meal you can eat in Quebec.
It s really fabulous! The food was great and the environment of the restaurant was very comfortable!
The food was outstanding and the service too. We love their concept
Wow i just discovered this restaurant, my favourite in quebec. The ambiance is perfect, the staff firendly and very knowledgable the food is the icing on the cake . Without a doubt a restaurant that will be on top of quebecs culinary excellence, they push it further and force you to take everything they do seriously even though theyll joke around with you at your table.
Best place in Quebec City
Well my prices and portion dont go together my
The prestigious list of the best new restaurants of the year from Air Canadas enRoute magazine mentions that the ARVI restaurant is the best in CANADA! Wow! What pride!
They make you feel like you are an old great friend that is coming home for a good well crafted meal in your honor. The chefs will hang at your table talking about the plates and whats coming next. The menu is very simple in term of choices : its mainly a service with the products available at the moment and they can navigate through that with your preferences, you will talk to the chefs !! In term of tastes, work and quality of the ingredients in your plates, that will be at the high level. Decoration is simple but chic. This is one of Quebec restaurants with a soul. If I have to add just one little critic, it would be that the portions could be more generous.
We loved the concept and the dishes. Here, you pay in advance, when booking, for a 5-course meal, with a vegetarian option. Taxes and service are included in the price paid ($94 per person in total). If we have wine, aperitifs, food and wine pairing, we pay for the alcohol at the restaurant, at the end of the meal. Its $45 for the wine pairing, whether the table dhôte has a vegetarian option or not. Ultra-friendly service and here, the staff wears all the hats (service, cooking, sommelier, everyone does it all). Original and different. Tasty cuisine with local products. A place that is definitely worth the detour (and the price ). We learned that Arvi , from a dialect of Savoy, means See you again!
Excellent atmosphere and menu. Friendly service
inventive, sophisticated and exquisite cuisine; attentive and warm service: inventive and unique pairings. Thank you for the wonderful evening! See you soon
Excellent, better than the weirdo
Excellent service very good
Inventive, playful cuisine. The staff is clearly invested in their craft and their presentation demonstrates as such. The pairings were well-executed and unique, not your typical safe wine list, and it paid off. I would not recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking for a play-it-safe meal with flavors they are used to, this is a restaurant which engages its diners and will pique your interest in the flavors, textures, and colors presented. All around an excellent, memorable meal with friendly staff that seemed to really enjoy doing what they do and sharing it with their patrons. Will definitely revisit if in the area again!
