Casa Grecque in Québec City

On a Monday evening we were a large group for my part I will not go back there again dry chicken very salty sauce 2 very cooked shrimps and the salad large pieces of red cabbage only the hot bread for me and one in front of me skewers of burnt chicken and a my left bowl thick seafood and didnt see the scallops and lobster well sorry to be negative but thats my point of view. thank you

The cuisine and service is good but I am extremely disappointed with the presentation and the quantity on the plates which are not up to par with the other Casa Grecque I have been to. I had the filet mignon skewer as a table d hôte with garlic shrimp for the starter. The garlic shrimp have not been grilled in any way. They were in a dish covered with cheese, barely grilled; and bathed in a liquid which soaked the cheese. Which leads me to believe that they are ordinary frozen shrimp that they were put in a dish with cheese and a little garlic butter and then simply placed under the salamander. The skewer came with a small ball of rice put next to it, on the plate, without nice presentation as well as 3 potatoes and a cup of sauce. There wasnt even a salad like in the picture on the menu. It looks really cheap and 80 s. You really need to rethink your presentation of the plates.

Alright. Busy. The salmon was a little overcooked for my taste. Too little parking space for the capacity of the restaurant.

When we arrived, we were quickly seated without asking if the place suited us. The waiter arrives asking us if we had chosen. It had been 3 minutes since we arrived. He looks at his watch and says that the kitchen is going to close... He arrives with my empty plate: ball of rice, 3 old potatoes, a lot of space on my plate as if something was missing... Always satisfied!

I was very disappointed. I came for the Greek potatoes which I really like. The potatoes were old and rotten. My friend had a Greek salad. She didnt like it because there was way too much dressing. The waitress was, however, very nice. So, I am very disappointed with the quality of the food.

The meal (the salmon) was very good and my portion was generous. I like the BYOB principle.

The Casa steak....a real delight...and the house salad...perfect!

The steak ordered rare was cooked raw, the plates cost more and more and we have less and less on the plate... Never again next time Im going back to the one in Beauport where Ive always eaten well and I was also very disappointed there and it has always been my restaurant. I finally tried the one on Pierre Bertrand and everything was perfect from the welcome to the service and the food

We were a group of 20 people and everyone enjoyed their meal and the atmosphere. Our server (an immigrant from Kosovo) was up to the task by offering us excellent service, with a wonderful welcoming attitude and attentive to his customers. And congratulations on the quality of your French!

From the start we received delicious bread without knowing if it was free or if we had to pay for it. Mystery ! Then our salads arrived, but not as a starter, no no, they decided to stand alone. Then our main plates appeared... or at least, what was left of them, as they seemed rather empty. To top it off, when paying, the waitress made jokes. Maybe a little too funny for our tastes. As for the taste of the dishes, lets say that it was discreet, barely perceptible. And for a Greek restaurant, no souvlaki pita? What a disappointment! Total incomprehension. In summary, its not expensive, but its well worth a 3/5.

Very poor service. We went there with around 10 people on June 19, a heatwave day... We had booked the downstairs room but we were placed upstairs where the air conditioning did not work although the downstairs room had air conditioning! For what reason?! To get water - it was so hot - you had to wait forever... Food: mediocre Everything was too salty (rice, breaded fish, etc.) and the breaded fish was way overcooked so it was hard... I have no plans to return or recommend it.

3 out of 4 dishes were bland and unpleasant (dry and tasteless burger, Greek salad with old feta, bland cannelloni). It must have been 20 years since I last went there and it will be another 20 before I go back. Only the starters and dessert were good Sorry for the bad rating.

Impeccable service Delicious menu, Very good atmosphere

My wife ordered half a lobster with steak, the steak was not edible, hard and with a lot of filaments. Almost impossible to cut it. Once the dishes were put on the table, no one even came to ask us if we were satisfied. We were offered a free dessert which we declined. We will definitely be going to this restaurant again. For this amount we could have eaten at Château Frontenac.

Im giving 1 star, because my family and I all got sick after eating at this restaurant so I wouldnt go back there and I wouldnt recommend either unfortunately... small constructive comment: give your customers your leftover bouff, the rice and potatoes were quite cold and very dry..

There were 3 of us eating a chicken skewer. Which I always choose the 2-3 times a year I go there. Different taste, sour-bitter and too salty, I timidly pointed this out to the waitress, asking if the recipe had changed. 2 of us had minor digestive problems following dinner. The 3rd had barely touched her plate. Positive mention for the hot rolls and for the friendly waitress, who seemed a bit uncomfortable.

We had reservations for 6:30 p.m. Barely entered the restaurant when the guy with the breads follows us to our table to give us these. (we still have our coats on our backs) the man who welcomes us has such a beautiful smile... We come to eat here to relax, to relax and we are placed next to a group of 25 people or more... The other side, quieter, there are still tables available for two people. Once seated, through the cries and cries of the children our waiter arrives and asks us for our order. We have to hurry up and order, our first glass of wine is not even finished and the soup is arriving at full speed. Its good, we place our spoon in the bowl and the waiter automatically arrives with our main course. Quickly, quickly and quickly. The potatoes are not cooked 7:30 p.m. (1 hour later) 2 glasses of wine and the start of a third that the bill is already in front of us. Very disappointed with our dinner and our time to try to relax this Saturday evening.

Very very very very disappointing. We went back once last week. And before, when booking, I spoke with the owner and asked him if there was butterfly shrimp on the menu at lunch time? And I asked him the price for the plate. He told me about $16 We were placed next to a telephone that no one answered and which rang very loudly. Right next to our table was the kitchen. Even though the restaurant was almost empty????? Unfortunately when paying the bill was $53 while for much more on our plate in Old Duluth for much less. The Greek casa is gone forever and if you feel like paying a lot of money to be disappointed, then you just have to book. Unfortunately, I had asked for vegetable soup. When we arrived, the one at reception told the waitress who seated us that we were a group of 7. His response with a sigh: without reservation I suppose even though we did indeed have a reservation. It seemed painful for her to have to replace a table to make a table big enough for us... Different cooking methods for the same 3 meals which had all been requested rare. When we saw that the first steak was very cooked, the waitress told us that it was normal, that it was because the meat was marinated. Then cutting the other 2 steaks, one was medium rare and the other very rare. We decided to eat anyway and not come back.

We were so hungry, we passed several places because we didnt book, they didnt receive us. We dont know because we were visiting Quebec. We call this restaurant, the receptionist was nice and advises us to come immediately to be served. The atmosphere was perfect. The only problem is that there are not enough employees to serve the number of people. The guy who takes the orders is the one who serves the meals, its still him who pays. In this sense there are things we want we cannot find anyone available to ask for them in time. But all in all I cant wait to go back.

Good place for dinner with family

Reliving an experience that had stayed in my memory for a long time. I have to say that the first time I went to Casa Grecque 20 years ago it was a trip. At that time one plate could feed an entire family. Over the years the quality of the food has left me indifferent and I no longer go there. After 10 years I returned there, with the great surprise that Casa Grecque had revised its dishes. I was surprised by this new culinary direction. THANKS

Total disappointment. Salad composed almost exclusively of heart lettuce and red cabbage. Very hard. Steak Casa Grecque: strips of tenderized beef, overcooked, bland and tasteless. Extremely salty butterfly shrimp, undercooked. All the dishes were bland, dull, flavorless and way overpriced.

A little noisy, its very friendly, warm. A small table decoration would be appreciated, candle or dried flowers

Food good but cooked steaks casa requested medium rare are rather very cooked, waiter completely overwhelmed, impossible to tell him because we would have received our correction with an unreasonable delay, we never had bread, we had to ask for water because it didnt come, almost 25 minutes before the first Hello! Im generally not a hard customer to please, but empty plate vs. price, I asked for a bucket of white wine, they never brought it to me even though I saw them bringing it to everyone else, never had the bread included, no glass of water, food too salty , the spoon of rice tasted like Danty rice, no vegetables on the plate, the salad as a starter is in fact only iceberg and cabbage, Steak casa is diced strip of steak, must have been medium rare but each strip was cooked differently . I asked for table dhôte, but after another 40 minutes of waiting after my main meal was served, the waiter brought me the bill ready to make me pay, without bringing me dessert and coffee included. When I kindly told him, he asked me if I wanted to bring the dessert home then when it was time to pay, it was the one I believe to be the owner or manager, who came and they asked me how much to tip I want to put it and it is entered for me rather than letting me enter it, and I clearly understand that my left amount, which is more than acceptable given the service (15%), does not please. He leaves looking mercilessly stupid, have a good evening, clearly we werent worth it. Busy servers, I understand, groups are prioritized. I believe I am a pleasant customer, not difficult, but everything was very ordinary, bordering on humiliating at times. A waiter (friendly at least!) finally brought us a bowl of bread, but after dinner. Make up your own mind, maybe it was an exception to the rule, I know some people who love it, but for my part, my only positive point is the spanakopita which was very good . $100 very poorly spent in our case. I used to like it a lot.

We understand that there is a shortage of staff, but if the manager does not have enough servers, he will have to limit the quantity of tables open. August 1, 2023 Family dinner for my mothers birthday. We all loved our meal, Greek salad, filet mignon skewer, butterfly shrimp, pork tenderloin medallions and dont forget the escargot starter YUM. Very good service.

Im really not picky, but this is the first time in my life that I have had to turn my plate twice. Filet mignon really overcooked (requested medium rare)...not even close to being ok both times, the plate is pitiful in portion (bare) for the price asked and the rather ordinary service. In the same range, Chez Grécos dishes are superior without hesitation. Not ready to go back...Note that management took the trouble to respond positively to this comment. THANKS !

The chicken skewer was delicious. The portions are good and the service was courteous and efficient. Beware of those who are cold, the air conditioning is on full blast!

We chose Casa Grecque to celebrate my mother in a big way. We were around 70 people. We had a room to ourselves which could accommodate 156 people. We had 2 servers (excellent service by the way). We had unlimited bread, someone often came by to serve us water, the meal was hot and we were all served at the same time. I recommend Casa Grecque LOrmière for your events or simply to eat with family. I find it there without fail! Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu available with baby chairs.

Im an excellent cook myself so we went to try it. It was just perfect Our host Mr Vallon, a very dynamic young waiter and above all, listens to us... I chose meal for 2. Each meat cooks with its own flavor on the filet mignon skewers...just right as requested. What to say about the presentation...It was really excellent...its up to you to discover Im going back soon. All the time spent eating this delicious dinner... It was my taste buds that loved it..
