1110 Rue Saint-Jean, Québec, QC G1R 1S4, Canada
Restaurant serving upmarket, seasonal Nordic bistro fare in a stylish, modern interior.
Amazing experience, everyone was so welcoming. True professionals (merci Alex) delicious food 100% local ingredients, great wine and cocktails selection. A must do in Quebec city. Merci et à bientôt!
Recommend the beef cheek which is very soft and the side dish is beetroot and other veggie. It gives a good balance between protein and fibre. Salad & soup both are good too. Service is good and attentive. It’s efficient to have my lunch get ready. Not much waiting overall. Will visit again when coming to Quebec
Luckily had Fairmont Chateau Frontenac concierge team help us with reservations on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend which we had no idea was going on until we arrived. Table was ready early and the host and service was impeccable at all times. The food in general was top notch but I must admit the French onion soup stole the show. It came “cappuccino” style in which instead of melted cheese there’s more a foam top and the soup itself is creamier. Likely the best French onion soup I’ve ever had!
Absolutely wonderful experience! The food and drinks were delicious!! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was very welcoming! Definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants I've been to. Highly recommend! Expect to be there dining for at least 2-2.5 hours (which they actually mention on their website), but it's well worth it! Really take the time to enjoy the food and experience!
The onion soup was delicious. Fair warning, it has a LOT of flavors. They are great, but it might not be for everyone. The beef cheeks were AMAZING! They were juicy and tender. The buffalo meat steak was good, but in my opinion it had too much sauce. The meat itself is delicious, and the sauce covered the flavor of the meat a bit.
This place makes good food, and uses high level ingredients. That said - for us the highlight of the meal was the dessert! I love when restaurants work with what's available locally and adjust to work with it. That was truly highlighted on all of their desserts. The "lemon" pie blew me away with how good and unique it was. Highly recommended!
We visited this restaurant on a weeknight. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation time and they were able to accommodate us. The dining room was quite busy. We ordered an onion soup, a beef cheek, butcher cut steak which was chuck steak and a pork belly. The bread was not warmed up so it wasn't good. The onion soup was excellent. No bread and cheese in the soup. It was served with a cracker and a piece of cheese. The soup was still excellent although there was no cheese in the soup. The beef cheek was good. The steak was very small. We got 3 pieces only. I guess it was less than 4 oz. That was probably why it came with a bowl of fries. The pork belly was excellent with the pumpkin puree. The ambiance was upscale. Service was not bad but our server was too busy and got no time to check on us.
We had an amazing experience. Our waiter was very professional and attentive to details. We have someone who is highly allergic to a list of ingredients and the team made sure the food was safe. The portions are priced accordingly. The cooking of each plate was perfect. A little bit too salty to my taste, but that is my personal preference.
Over the top flavours and combinations that work, service that there but not invasive we had questions and they made suggestions one of the best meals we have have ever!
Most enjoyable meal, perfect ambiance, excellent server - above all well presented food
One of those rare restaurants where everything, lighting, music, noise level, presentation, preparation and service are all extraordinary. Combined with unique boreal ingredients earns Chez Boulay a must stop rating for those seeking culinary excellence. Enjoy. Note: We spent a lot here because we were celebrating do cocktails, sides, desserts, coffees and more were consumed in abundance. On a normal evening, would probably have been $75 each. Either way, worth every penny. Vegetarian options: Beautiful vegetarian (not vegan) option of a ricotta ravioli with mushrooms and lichen in an unknown but delicious french sauce. Fantastic.
For $40 my portion of fish was really small
Everything was amazing- especially the French onion soup. I usually don t like them but here- it is perfect. It s not topped with cheese and it doesn t contain big chunks of bread inside like other soups- instead it is served with toasted bread with melted cheese. But this soup is so much richer and deeper in flavor than other places. Will be coming back just for this
Favorite: Arctic Char Carpaccio as a starter! I would have appreciated my main plate a little warmer. However, we were a group of 6, perhaps that explains it. Parking: Indoor parking access via the Hotel Victoria
We went for our Christmas diner, 8 peoples. For more than half of them it was their first experience. Everyone enjoyed the food, the service and ambiance. Perfect 10/10!
What I was served, the onion soup and the beef cheek was good, the onion soup was fantastic the best I ever tasted. But since I was dining alone and got there at 4:45 for my reservation I expected that I would get the same attention that you would expect, but that wasn t the case. I was left wondering if I was going to see my waiter again and when he did show up again wanted to know if I wanted to order anything else. At that point I said no and asked for the check. Parking: At the City Hall
The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and pleasant all evening. He took the time to advise us well and make sure we had a good time. Very nice wine list and what can we say about the dishes! From starters to desserts, everything was delicious.
Dietary restrictions: Grand choix d options sans gluten Food
A safe bet every time. Great discoveries of certain boreal products like sarsaparilla . And very good service by Arnaud.
Everything was delicious and perfect. They even brought the birthday cake to the birthday person as requested when I made my reservation. THANKS!
Dietary restrictions: Quasiment toute la carte est disponible en option sans gluten Food
A magnificent experience for our taste buds in a cozy atmosphere! Umami guaranteed! Dietary restrictions: Being intolerant to gluten and soy as well as allergic to honey, I was reassured and served with great consideration. I was offered gluten-free alternatives to accompany my char carpaccio it was really thoughtful!
Wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the staff did a fantastic service for our friend s 60th birthday. Highly recommended!
We love going to Boulay! Everything is exquisite!!!
We had a wonderful dinner! The atmosphere is warm, the team dynamic and very helpful, the meal delicious. We will definitely come back.
The kitchen experience was excellent. We had excellent service from all employees. Small constructive comment, the familiarity of our server annoyed me a little for a restaurant of your level.
Very good dinner with friends, dishes beautifully prepared with surprising and mouth-watering boreal ingredients. Very friendly and informal service.
To discover flavors, this is the place!
Excellent service and what cuisine! Refined, hearty and delicious!
Extraordinary evening! Everything was more than perfect! Delicious, great service and great suggestions.
Magnificent guinea fowl liver; sublime gratinated onion soup; meltingly braised beef cheek; veal loin a little less spicy. Impeccable service. Poorly arranged music and tables a little tight. Nevertheless, a very nice evening.
A must to cross the Park to eat at this table!!
Small dinner Friday evening, busy restaurant. We had a reservation probably necessary. The restaurant is a bit noisy and the tables stick together. The server Florent was very friendly and gave good advice. Delicious food, well seasoned, good size dish and varied choices.
Warm atmosphere and wonderful service. Kid-friendliness: There was an appropriate kid s menu that my kids enjoyed. This is still a more fancy restaurant so children do need to behave. Wheelchair accessibility: One of my children uses a wheelchair and we were able to reserve and notify that he had mobility issues. Our table was ready for him when we arrived.
Excellent brunch
I have been going to this restaurant a few times a year for at least 10 years and everything is perfect. Extraordinary food and impeccable service! The only downside is that it s relatively noisy but that doesn t stop me from going back! Parking: Accessible street parking and paid indoor parking nearby
Excellent food, excellent service, thanks until next time...
Dietary restrictions: On a pris soin à quelques reprises de vérifier que laliment auquel je suis allergique était bien celui-là et on ma assuré que des précautions étaient prises. Food
Excellent meal
Absolutely wonderful. Exactly what I was hoping for, and my family was delighted by every dish.
BISTRO BRAISED BEEF CHEEK! That is what I will return for over and over again. It was wonderful, with the perfect quanity, flavours and presentation. Highly recommended.
Parking: À 5 minutes à pied du resto. Food
Delicious food and beautiful decoration
Highly recommend Chez Boulay! The food was amazing, the service was friendly and speedy, and the atmosphere was lovely. Don t miss it!
Very nice atmosphere, excellent service and delicious dishes!
Exceptional restaurant. Delicious food, fresh ingredients, very well prepared dishes
Boreal inspired food, fine diing without the pretentious atmosphere. Enjoyable supper but very busy even in the middle of the week. Reservations recommended.
Honestly, one of the best dining experiences Ive had. The food was exceptional, every bite of our starters, every bite of our main meals was sublime. The service was equally magnificent. We had a wonderful evening for our 7 year anniversary.
Menu that gives pride of place to local products from Quebec and the Quebec region. Comforting atmosphere. Vegetarian options: I recommend the tempeh with wild mushrooms (lactaria). Ummami!
The duck was terrible
We had an amazing dinner, the server was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the wine list. Would definitely recommend and will be back some day.
Spectacular food and superb service. Recommend to anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Quebec City.
Food excellent, service excellent, definitely make a reservation!
Excellent food, outstanding service. This restaurant is a must when visiting Quebec City
Excellent experience, great food, great service.
Was everything we had hoped for and then some
Dietary restrictions: Accommodated to our parties allergies and dietary restrictions perfectly. Wonderful food, wine, service and atmosphere! Food
The place was lovely, the waiter was patient and knowledgeable, and the food and wine were exceptional. Everything the waiter recommended was so good. The French onion soup was the best we ve had in this area. The braised beef cheeks were tender and packed with flavor. The cheese plate was nothing special but the waiter encouraged us to try the char carpaccio instead, and we probably should have listened. We would definitely go back.
Food was amazing. Both my husband and I got the iron steak brunch. Server was attentive and more than happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. Atmosphere was nice and cozy.
Going to Boulay means adopting it! Atmosphere, service and cuisine, simply divine for the palate. Blood sausage and beef cheek. Divinely delicious for the senses.
Food was delicious!! The onion soup, beef cheeks, and pasta dishes are a MUST!!
We came here for the wife s birthday and it was amazing. The food was amazing I have never had anything like it before. The service was great and quick.
It was sublime
We have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. And we were not disappointed! Very professional service, excellent wine and dishes. We recommend 200%
What a fabulous dinner experience. At our table we had the goose appetizer and onion soup, a veal loin special and bison. I recommend them all.
Very warm welcome We chose the beef cheeks a real treat perfect portion wonderful mash and as a starter a very simple fresh salad well seasoned very good bread and excellent pear dessert first good restaurant in Quebec the staff is very professional We will return
Great all around Vegetarian options: The pasta was very good, really enjoyed it. Thank you chef. Food : 5/5 |
Exceptional
It was just perfect!!!
Visited with my wife while in Quebec. Everything here from beginning to end was fantastic. The food was all delicious and unique. They were able to accommodate my wifes lactose intolerance and provide suggestions and substitutions. Great service and all the servers were very helpful. Definitely worth stopping here!
Waiter was very helpful with the wine selection that paired perfectly with the beef cheeks. Delicious! And his recommendation on the seabuckthorn pie was spot on. I give them two thumbs up.
Vegetarian options: Main vegan entree a ravioli with vegetables Food
Loved everything! The restaurant was able to accommodate us when we requested a seat ahead of our reservation time, the Goose Breast appetizer was AMAZING, we loved the wine recommendation, the Beef Cheek entree was incredible (its obvious why its been on the menu for 12 years), and the duck was delightful. We ended with the creme brûlée, which was delicious and not too sweet, and a shot of espresso. 10/10 would recommend, and hope to be back next time were in Quebec City!
Tasty cuisine, impeccable service, beautiful atmosphere, not too noisy a magnificent evening.
For a restaurant that offers refined cuisine, the teams expeditious service and familiar tone stand out! The lack of consideration / refusal of our server for our request to change tables greatly disappointed us. His casualness and his lack of listening too. This was our first experience at this restaurant, and most certainly our last...
I went to this restaurant at 1:30 and I was alone. They refused to serve me because they said their kitchen was closed, I think the waiter was racist. The restaurant was basically. Dont eat here!
First time for brunch, different but pleasantly surprised. To be repeated shortly.
An excellent dining experience. Food is wonderful and served with artistic flair. Wonderful service. Would definitely visit again.
We disrupted our restaurant reservation schedule to return to Boulay twice. It was our favorite restaurant in Quebec City, and by returning we were able to discover new flavors and explore the treasures of the menu. Special mention for the exceptional bison tartare, for the sea buckthorn tart, for the tiramisu with cereals and boreal spices... in short, I am salivating just to list the dishes!
We brought friends who didnt know the restaurant. Just like us, they loved the food and really appreciated the service. A restaurant that is a pleasure to share.
We enjoyed ourselves
Beautiful evening at Boulay, excellent food and the service was impeccable, definitely a must in Quebec!
Whether in the kitchen or at the table, at Boulay-bistro boréal offers delicious dishes from one season to the next, courteous and professional service well beyond expectations. To taste it is to adopt it!
We had the three course meal advertised for the Quebec Table Gourmet event, which was smoked salmon, steak, and a dessert. The first course was lovely, the steak was very chewy like the cheaper cuts you d get at a grocery store, but was cooked nicely. The dessert was write nice. Our servers were fine, I think we had three separate people check in on us throughout the meal. The atmosphere was okay, but it very much felt like a hotel restaurant. It was fine, suppose I prefer more intimate experiences. Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free options and alternatives for most meals.
Exceptional dining experience!! Impeccable service! Beautiful atmosphere! To try!!
Mélanie is an excellent waitress
Great meal and service!
A reputation that no longer needs to be established. Life goes fast. Treat your taste buds to an exhilarating moment.
Everything was perfect! It was our second visit, our first visit dates back to the beginning of the restaurant and we were not disappointed... it was as we remembered.... Thank you for these beautiful moments
The halibut was overcooked, tough and dry.
Wonderful experience, the food was so good! The onion soup was divine as the rest of our meal. We had the beef cheeks, the bison and blood pudding. Next time we will have to try the Scallops. Also our waiter was excellent, very knowledgeable, great service!
Chez Boulay has been our favorite restaurant for several years and we are never disappointed!
I don t often leave reviews but this experience was such a disappointment I feel obligated to warn others. As someone who has worked in restaurants for 20+ years from gastropubs to fine dining, this experience left me just plain sad. It started with bread service, which was plated on a receipt/ticket stabber. Okay? Just put it on a plate. Anyway, stale and not very flavorful. Second course was their onion soup cappuccino style . If you expect a traditional French Onion soup, this is NOT it. It is a cream of onion soup, with a cheese crostini on the side. The foamed butter was not a pleasant texture or taste. Some may love this, but I didn t enjoy it. Main course was the halibut. I caught a glimpse of a few that went out and it looked good. But when I got mine it was way overcooked, dry, under seasoned and underwhelming. The carrot puree was fine - nothing special about it. Very bland. Roasted carrots? Okay, fine I guess, but not crispy and again, under seasoned. My partner got the agnolotti, what seemed like a safe dish. Again, bland and under seasoned. Whatever cream sauce was on this was so rich and over the top it dominated the entire dish and not in a pleasant way. The server was fine, he could have checked back more often. If I had a table that only took two bites of the agnolotti and expressed their displeasure, I d have taken it off the bill, no questions asked. Especially considering this is some big chef named restaurant. In a city with so many amazing food options we were really disappointed we fell into this tourist trap and should have known better. In retrospect there were signs it it wasn t going to be good - such as table tents with QR codes advertising something on the table, paper napkins for a $$$ restaurant and a whole write up on the chef being famous or something. If you re looking for a great dining experience worth the $ this place is NOT it.
Always a great experience!
Delicious cuisine, warm atmosphere and impeccable service. A must!
Perfect moment
Alright. Interesting entries Truly excellent halibut. With sublime accompaniments. Very good service
We went there for brunch. The plates were generous for a gourmet restaurant. Excellent service.
Order flank and beef cheek. Both taste really good. Had foie gras as appetizier. Very tasty.
The food was excellent, and our waiter gave us great recommendations to help us choose our dishes. Both the presentation and flavors were impressive. It was an outstanding dining experience in Quebec City!
As part of the Quebec gourmet table activity: First of all, its a restaurant with a lot of noise. Lots of people and the sounds resonate because of the materials used. The service was excellent and professional. Its the food thats the problem. First the starter, a perfectly smoked salmon, but a texture a little too hard and rubbery. The sauce accompanying the salmon was in microscopic quantities. The main meal, the beef had blue cooking; no one asked for it. Its not the most tender piece of meat Ive ordered! The maderise sauce helped with the taste, but it didnt overpower the most subtle dish in terms of flavors. . Finally, the éclair was made with a slightly soft dough, the whipped cream was tasteless and the coulis was in small quantity. Conclusion: mediocre taste experience in a noisy atmosphere, all that for $65 plus wine and wine. aperitif.
What a treat!
My partner and I have wanted to try this well-rated restaurant for a long time. What could be better than during Quebec gourmet table! Unfortunately this evening our experience was very ordinary. We are foodies and have tried dozens of restaurants in Montreal, Quebec, Europe and Asia. The choice for the gourmet table includes the starter of lightly caramelized smoked salmon and this dish was excellent. For main course, we had the steak in its sauce. Very salty and quite hard. For dessert, a type of éclair with raspberry coulis. The coulis tasted like an artificial cane sauce and my partner left it after a mouthful. We had probably set the bar high for this renowned restaurant but given that we try between 3 and 5 restaurants per week in Montreal and Quebec. We have become very critical! We went out a little disappointed and hoping that we will make a good choice for Saturday!!!
This is a small but fully-stocked bistro. You can pick up almost anything you need to prepare a great meal, or have a quick bite, or grab a freshly-made pastry. Theres a bakery on the side where I witnessed a baker rolling out dough. There are jams, sauces, oils, vinegars, condiments, frozen specialty meats. Theres so much more. I love this little shop and keep going back whenever Im in Quebec City.
The only must-see in Old Quebec! Each visit is a unique experience that meets your expectations. The service is second to none, the atmosphere makes you want to return and the dishes are all delicious. Ingredients that magnificently represent Quebec... lots of positives to say about this place!
delicious, friendly, to try without hesitation
Perfect ! One of the rare restaurants to offer quality local products, wonderfully cooked. With impeccable service and a warm welcome. Very very nice address
Excellent choice we made on November 14
Exceptional restaurant. Thanks to Antoine for his excellent service.
Very good meal and excellent service. This is the 3rd time we ve gone there and always left the restaurant satisfied
Incredible evening! Succulent food!
Very good and a beautiful place, great service. However a little $$$
Exceptional meal, generous portion. I wish I had a bigger stomach it was so delicious
Delicious, excellent service, familiar, without snobbery, while being discreet. Beautiful decor. A great experience.
Melanie describes the dishes that make you want to eat everything! Gorgeous
Always just as delicious, tasty and gourmet, without having to pay too much! Beautiful, well-filled plate, the best gourmet restaurant value for money
Everything was sublime! To put on your list of restaurants to visit if you go to Quebec. Vegetarian options: Its available for those who want it!
Really creative and tasty food.
A unique culinary experience. The cappuccino onion soup was as surprising as it was excellent! Their black pudding is to roll on the ground. And the sea buckthorn pie I m speechless! Yum
Wow! Succulent cuisine! An explosion of flavors. Warm atmosphere. Attentive staff. I felt like I was on the Chefs show... Hats off.
The best restaurant in old Quebec
Very good table, good atmosphere, very satisfied Parking: They parked in the Hotel Dieu parking lot
Excellent service and welcome. The tuna tartare starter was really succulent. The beef cheek and blood sausage always a very good choice and plentiful, however we would have appreciated more accompanying vegetables or an offering of salad.
We were very much looking forward to an adventurous meal here and it exceeded expectations. Highly recommended. Loved everything about it.
Very good cuisine. Inventive and good products. Excellent service. Can be a little noisy but less than elsewhere. Recommended restaurant.
Outstanding food! Thoughtful service by Melanie. Highly recommended. Onion soup and beef cheeks were exceptional.
Still so good. However, I noticed that the portions were significantly reduced.
Very nice experience in all categories. After visiting QC for almost a month now my wife and I had dinner here and wish we had found it sooner as we would have been back several times. Honestly, cant think of anything they could have done better. The French Onion Soup is to die for!
Terrible service. Basic menu and the steak was super chewy. Not many GF options. Don t recommend.
Balanced cuisine and beautiful presentation of the products. Very respectable portions at a fair price. Halibut: a sumptuously flaky delight in every bite. The meat of the day: scoter cooked medium rare triumphing over sauces where the veal stock alternates with the acidity of the berries exploding on the palate with each bite. The Tiramisu is so creamy that I felt guilty for not having shared the crème brûlée! Good job. I recommend. Thanks to Alex for the excellent service. Boulay: a sure bet, faithful to French cuisine, bistro style. See you soon I hope
Great service, food, and atmosphere.
You offered us a room for a group of 11 people celebrating a party, which was perfect. Parking: Very affordable city hall parking 5 minutes walk away, $8 for the evening.
What a great culinary experience, they are real restaurateurs.
Great food, great service, great attention to details. A memorable evening
Highly recommend for a fancy dinner out. The beef cheek is incredible. Lots of interesting ingredients on their menu including seal, bison, and sea buckthorn. We tried two cocktails and both were a little disappointing, maybe better to stick with wine.
Everything was great!!!
Amazing, must enjoy.
Good food , excellent service a bit noisy . and somewhat pricy
Perfect kindness, cleanliness, efficiency and very good. Ill come back and talk about it.
Wonderful overall experience!!
Great restaurant with great gastronomy! Thank you and we will see each other again soon!
Really wonderful experience. Food and service were excellent. Thank you! Food : 5/5
Great place, very professional, very pleasant setting, really fine and delicious cuisine. To recommend without hesitation!
4/5, because perfection does not exist. But at Boulay, it s more like 4.9/5. Well done!
the food was perfect! I would definitely go back
Random stop for dinner and we were not disappointed! Chicken breast with risotto-style barley pearls and roasted leeks, with a jus to die for! The juice was full-bodied, well reduced and full of flavors It was simply excellent, the best since we arrived in Canada. Top service, what more could you ask for? The only downside is the lack of soundproofing in the room but that wont stop us from coming back :)
First visit (for brunch) and I would love to go back for dinner!
Nice place to have a drink...
We had a lovely evening at Chez Boulay exploring new tastes and seasoning from the region. Everything was delicious! Our server, Alex, helped us decide our orders and suggested wine pairings. We began with the tomato carpaccio and the scallops, which were just exquisite. The beef cheeks were tender and delicious with a very generous portion. The halibut was delicate and delicious. On the finish was maple mousse (amazing and not overly sweet) and the sea buckthorn meringue pie that was just incredible. Thank you for an incredible meal and wonderful memory of our last evening of our trip.
Excellent service, great atmosphere and great food. Spectacular red wine reduction baba cake! The foie gras and magret de canard were delicious. Food
Our dinner was so delicious and the service was top notch.
Very good meal
Very good restaurant, I recommend it.
A must when in Quebec
Food was Devine. Great service and recommendations from our waitress. Definitely will recommend this place to friends coming to Quebec!
Do it again! We recommend the experience, from starter to dessert. Their different ways of cooking beef is interesting and worth the detour. The room is warm even if slightly noisy during service. For a small group dinner, don t hesitate.
Absolutely deserving of 5 stars! This restaurant is a true gem, offering outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and exquisite food.
Chic setting with creative and delicious cuisine! Deserving 5 stars all the way around for food, service, and atmosphere!
Why only serve brunch, especially at 1:30 p.m.
Fantastic server and perfect meal experience. The highlight of our trip to Quebec City!
Everything was perfect: the location, the welcome, the service and what about the food!
Super
Superb creative cuisine with quality products based on boreal culture. We loved the concept and had a great evening. Cozy atmosphere and not too noisy (2nd service). I highly recommend.
Our delightful evening began when our server, Melanie, introduced herself and got started with drinks. My three tablemates ordered wine but I didn t want alcohol and she suggested an option, new to me, a NA amaretto. This was just the beginning. The most fun surprise was the sea buckthorn in two of our desserts. New to us all and added to the enjoyable dinner guided by Melanie.
We had an amazing dinner at Chez Boulay on the final night of our vacation. The atmosphere was perfect and we were lucky to be seated at a nice corner booth table removed from other parties. The service was perfect, food was amazing, and overall we were very happy with our experience. Every bite was amazing. Highly recommend!
My husband and I celebrated 25 years together and we couldn t have asked for a better experience- the food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was fantastic! Merci!! Dietary restrictions: I enjoyed the gluten-free options!
Absolutely incredible atmosphere. Every bite was delicious. Cannot say enough great things. Memorable meal.
Excellent beef cheek, tender as can be and divinely accompanied. Impeccable service. Im going back in two weeks!
A cool place, impeccable service and brilliantly executed plate contents.
Our expectations following our meal at Chez Boulay were unfortunately not up to par. Excellent onion soup! The bread offered free of charge, lacks refinement and an innocuous butter for the place of reputation! Poyr flavored herbs to enhance the dishes would have been more than appreciated. The beef cheek is very moist, but no particular flavor that stands out. And the duck, a blatant lack of salt which awakens the flavors with a timid stomach. The pan-fried foie gras, no crispiness and almost rare texture, making it difficult to cut and very tough tendons. In short, everything was good but nothing more. For us, the onion soup consoled us as much as the culinary experience! The waiter was a little expeditious, by the way, despite the fact that he was initially very friendly but not afterwards, one could even feel him taking the order, rather expeditious. Thank you for asking us for our opinion
Want some interesting and French for brunch? This was very good. Foie gras followed by smoked fish Benedict. The portions were just right. The presentation is beautiful. And the staff is friend with expedient service.
A big WOW full plates So tender melting beef cheek Succulent pan-fried scallops Desserts excellent sea buckthorn pie. Very good service The price is equal to the excellence of our experience.
Best French onion soup of my life and I m an expert.
Although it s a long drive to Quebec City from Chicago, this was our second visit to the restaurant and we ll be back. It s a bit noisy, but the food and service more than compensate for that.
Amazing service amazing food fast and courteous service. Will come back for sure!!!!
A very special evening. Our first time there and couldn t be more pleased. Thank you!
The brunch was exceptional. Impeccable service and atmosphere.
Thank you very much for the beautiful evening.
Subtle and sophisticated flavors, unparalleled service and perfect decor. Had an extraordinary dinner. THANKS!
Amazing food our wait person was awesome. We loved everything just a bit noisy save room for a dessert - the Tiramisu was sooooo good!!!
Good food and good service
