It was delicious. But clearly insufficient for the price. The $29 portion of braised beef shepherds pie was comparable to a starter. I had to go eat McDonalds afterwards. Additionally, there was an out of stock on the meatball stew, which is on the table dhôte, and no flexibility offered to offer me the table dhôte on my 2nd option on the a la carte menu, despite my desire to pay extra. I dont think Ill go back. Empathetic waitress.

Disappointing experience from the moment we arrived We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and asked to be seated apart because we had a Teams meeting. The section we had in mind was completely empty, but we had to argue to be able to be installed there. Once seated, the host came back to ask us to change seats... even though the section remained empty the entire time we were there. As the owner of a chain of stores, if I had heard of such a situation in one of my establishments, I would have intervened immediately to correct the situation. This lack of flexibility and listening gives a very negative impression. A shame, because the service and food could have made up for it, but that first impression was hard to forget.

I went for lunch, I priced the special before 9:30. I took the plate with the house ham + 1 large extra juice instead of coffee. At $8 for a large juice, I was expecting a bigger glass than that. Really exaggerated price. The plate was still quite full, but the ham was too salty and the toast was already cold and yet I was served quite quickly. When the waitress asked me if it was good, I waved my hand at her. She offered to replace my plate but I was already no longer hungry, it was useless, I had to explain everything to her almost from start to finish. I intended to leave him a tip for his service but after wishing me a good day rather stupidly, I let it happen. Ive been to another Cochon Dingue a few years ago and found the food ordinary. I dont think Ill go back.

Courteous, correct service, as expected in a restaurant. The menu does not show any photos. We therefore have to ask our server for many details about the dishes. He responded very professionally, knowing the map well. The menu on the web doesnt have more photos. Damage. We take the 3 for the table dhôte for $48 (after taxes and service 15%) One of the guests has a beer. The neck of the beer will be very very thin, too bad. Clam chowder, very liquid, served warm-hot. Damage. Tasty, but lots of pork fat (bacon). Damage. The main dishes are adequate, although the side portions could be a little larger. Its not great gastronomy either, but its superior to some so-called basic restaurants. Dessert.. crazy royal cake. Oops, a chocomousse from St-Hubert, but in the form of a cylinder. Damage. The crème brûlée, good, but small. The bread, served only on request as specified on the menu, arrives cold, and does not seem fresh that day. (the famous square bread, which we keep for a few days in a plastic bag) Too bad. It wouldnt take much to reheat the bread and make the restaurant experience just a little more wow than the dining experience at home. (A little tip to avoid giving the impression that the bread was kept in a plastic bag. Quickly run it under tap water and cook it in the oven for a few minutes, just to restore its crispiness and of course, serve it hot :-) ) I gave it 3 stars because there is room for improvement, without necessarily significantly increasing the costs for the restaurant owner. Delicious meal, steak cooked just the way we like it. The pepper is killer, really tasty. The meal was so good that we felt like the portion was not enough. Nothing to say about the dessert, really good crème brûlée. Very good to go with the family in any case. The service is impeccable.

I had dinner on Oct. 19 for my birthday and we took the steak and fries, me and my partner the steak was tiny even if we took the biggest at $50 each it wasnt worth it and the service was crap we were 9 and our starters were not served at the same time and our main course either didnt make any sense of any service and the service was very very long whether it was for the bread or the cocktails or the food and it cost $190 2 streak fries 4 cocktails and 2 dessert knows how to steal the world I wouldnt have liked to pay for it if I could have! and we will never return to eat there

Very bad experience this morning. I was alone, I asked for a seat. When I was assigned the table, I asked for the one next to it that was on the edge and not in the middle. The usher told me she was reserved. I told her but you will give the other one when the people arrive and she didnt want to. When the waitress arrived I asked her if I could take the other table and when she agreed so I moved. 5 minutes later the usher came to move me, I told her that next time I would not bother her anymore and that I would go to the restaurants where I am definitely better received (by her non-customer oriented behavior she highlighted how people from other establishments take such care of me and are very kind ..... I will encourage these places from now on). A little later I address the people who were seated at the place from which I was moved and I ask them what they asked for when booking to get this table? Well, they hadnt asked for a specific table, they had only asked for a half seat.......so, the other table would have just as satisfied their request. Here it is a power trip for the usher which will result in the loss of a customer (at least for a while I will go elsewhere).

I had the seafood linguine for $29. As the description of the pasta on the menu does not mention the addition of parmesan I was not suspicious. I do not eat cheese. The pasta arrived with cheese. I asked for a plate to remove it and the waitress was kind to bring the plate back to the kitchen to remove it. I ate the pasta but a little since it still tasted like parmesan. I took an 8 ounce glass of wine at $16, a little expensive, the price of the bottle. I didnt take their famous carrot cake which I love but at $10 even if its not as good I Im going to buy it from métro. What I liked least was the noise . Very very noisy, bordering on unpleasant.. On the other hand, I will go back and would give it a 7.5 out of 10

We went to lunch for my daughters party! We were six people! We had an excellent welcome and service! Its not my first and certainly not the last. Really friendly waitress and as I can see its a popular restaurant! Very good food! To try without fail well done!

This afternoon, three of us arrived at the restaurant around 2:30 PM. We ordered a starter, two main courses, and a kids meal. The food itself was decent, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues. Firstly, the service was disappointingly slow, causing some frustration as we waited longer than expected between courses. Adding to our discomfort, there were an excessive number of flies buzzing around our table throughout the meal. At one point, we had to pause eating just to shoo them away. The bread served with our meal was not warmed, which was a letdown. Additionally, when our starter arrived, no plate were provided for sharing, we didn t bother to ask for one. One of our forks was noticeably crooked, which was both odd and inconvenient. Moreover, the waiter forgot to bring our child s juice, and due to the persistent issue with flies, we ended up having to take it to go. Overall, while the food had potential, the slow service, fly problem, and various oversights detracted significantly from our dining experience.

Everything was extremely salty, we left more than half of the contents of our plates, too bad. We asked the charming waitress to notify the chef. We are very disappointed.

We went there on a Sunday evening in July and there were very few customers. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Children are received with pencils and a small activity book (thanks for that). The menu is simple and offers foods from Quebec such as pork from the Gaspor farm and Perron cheese curds. In general everything was excellent with the exception of my poutine which had definitely been drowned in sauce, my partner even joked wow nice soup . Otherwise the service was very very long, but the waiter was very professional and knew his menu well.

Very good overall. The current market means that prices have increased in recent years. We visited the restaurant on June 28, 2024, there were 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 children. There were errors in more than half of the dishes, and we waited 1.5 hours between the two courses. Our son has allergies, and this restaurant usually accommodates him well. There was a mistake, and we asked to redo the dish. Waitresss response: Are you sure? Obviously, since our son could die eating the dish served! Our niece wanted her poutine cheese on the side, since she doesnt like it, but her sister does. The waitress didnt understand. There was an error. The next table received poutine without cheese... 15 minutes early. Response from the waitress: Well, you could just have the poutine again. Poutine already eaten! The name of this waitress is Annie P. She never provided service, she was completely absent and did not apologize. She blamed the kitchen, but if she had done her homework there would have been fewer mistakes and we would have waited less time. This meal lasted almost 4 hours... Im sorry maam, but we have to change jobs. No matter how much we blame the lack of staff, good manners should also exist in the restaurant.

Visiting the area, we couldnt wait to eat at Le Pig Dingue. $50 for a sangria. No fruit in it, no ice cream. It tastes like water. This is by far the most expensive and strangest sangria Ive ever had in my life. My partner asked for a rare flank steak. The received medium well cooked. Extremely slow service. Arrive at 6:30 a.m. Meal received around 8:15 a.m. Bread was offered only to those who had soup. I would have given less stars but I want to highlight the exceptional work of our server. He went out of his way to bring us bread (which another employee refused us) and they offered us a free drink (coke, juice for the children). Exceptional server but slow service in the kitchen and food ok nothing more.

This review is more for those who make the menu. The meal itself is good. But when you create your table dhôte menus, it would be very appreciated to place the nuts on the side and the customers will have the option of adding them or not. Yesterdays menus, entered salad with almond, ok we could remove them, for the trout the cabbage rice had almonds integrated in it (option to place them in containers on the side) the dessert from the menu, had nuts and all the others dessert too, apart from the crème brûlée, you make your dessert, dont add nuts, its simple. Super Crazy Pig! The staff are really welcoming and lovely with the children. The food is excellent! A real treat! The childrens menus are very good and plentiful. They loved it. Perfect place for children, good idea for the notebook and colored pencils.

Terrible cacaphony, we cant hear ourselves speak because the noise of voices reverberates in the room. Poorly prepared for the weekend, 1 hour wait for lunch + 1 hour in line. Plates that are too hot (long time under the stove), limp potatoes, tasteless bacon like cardboard, in short, to be avoided. No more good lunches from before, they have forgotten the quality. Terribly disappointed, you will waste your time and money.

I really liked going to eat at this restaurant. Unfortunately, this lunchtime, I was disappointed by the plates of our entire group (12 people). The plates seemed empty. Already upon leaving, we were placed on a table on the second floor in the corner of the restaurant without windows, just yellow walls next to the emergency exit. The cheese/fries ratio in the poutinette was not very balanced. It was maybe 95% fries, 4% cheese and 1% sauce that was TOO runny, that even my friends pointed it out to me and we all agreed. Afterwards the burger had no taste and that too everyone agreed because I didnt want to appear as if I was difficult to please but we were all disappointed with our burger without taste AND THE MAYONNAISE with a smell of fish??? As someone who loves mayo, I didnt really understand what they wanted to do, even though it was homemade mayo. In terms of appearance, visually, it could be seen that it was mayonnaise but the taste and smell were terrible. Probably the worst mayonnaise tasted. In addition, I was so thirsty and the waiter never refilled us with water all evening that I ended up having to take water from the glasses of my friends who had cocktails. Additionally, the waiter came to us a grand total of 1 time during our tasting of the food to see if it was good. Communication with our server was quite difficult. The only positive points are that the mocktails are excellent and the desserts, whatever, my double chocolate cake looked like it came from the frozen counter at the IGA, was drinkable and the portion size was quite generous in my opinion, but my friends were not not of the same opinion. They were even happy not to have had dessert. That said, we all learned our lesson that evening; to listen to word of mouth, when you are told that it is not good, you have to learn to listen. Ill know for next time and I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone.
