Quite a mixed experience. Good service, good atmosphere. We were on the 2nd floor, it was very hot. Where it went wrong was in the dish. I ordered the steak and fries, I asked for rare cooking, I received a well done steak. Return of the dish but even the 2nd time, the cooking was still wrong. The char crudo was good. Several other people didnt like their dish.

I liked the steak fries, however I am not a fan of deconstructed sauces. When steak fries with béarnaise sauce are listed on the menu, I am disappointed when my dish is served with something weird that doesnt look or taste like a béarnaise sauce. It s a tapas formula, so quite expensive but the atmosphere is good and the service is excellent.

Very impressed! It was excellent, A++ service. They have adapted to everyones allergies. I really recommend it.

Very good meal. We ate on the 2nd floor and the air was freezing. This meant that we were cold all evening and therefore could not have a great experience. Little empathy from the staff... little excuses and nothing more

Very nice experience. The welcome was memorable with the hostess explaining the formula to us, while offering to let ourselves be lulled by their discovery menu. Poetry! The wines were all good except for one which was meh. Delicious food, well done!

The waitress offered excellent service. One out of 3 dishes was excellent, the other two left something to be desired. Quantity on very small plates. I dont think Ill go back there.

We were not adventurous, did not adhere to the spirit of the wine which dictates the meal, but the waiter did not hold it against us and everything was very good. Special mention for the tab cooked to perfection and its juices to die for!!

Its expensive for what it is and its poorly managed

It s a very beautiful and original restaurant. Just disappointed with the portions for the price. I would have thought that with one plate I would have had enough food but although we took a board to share with 2 couples, we remained hungry. Also, important to mention that the quantity of the glass of wine to match the chosen dish is only 3 ounces. And finally, if I want the option of 4 tapas for $75, the entire table must take the option.

4-course or 3 1/2 tasting package? My son offered us a 4-course tasting menu package we couldn t wait to discover this restaurant! First, the waiters were very friendly but it is very noisy. The first two plates were half-starters, a few grams of sophisticated and succulent food, although a guinea fowl mousse without croutons or bread was disappointing. The main veal and squash dish was succulent but the portion was insufficient for the price! And finally the dessert is 1 plate for 2 people because we consider that a chocolate mousse brownie is too filling for one person! So for almost $300 we went to eat a Lebanese pancake nearby which was honestly delicious for the price! This is very unfortunate and disappointing! It appeared to us that the à la carte dishes were more generous. There will be no recurrence!

Very good meal with food and wine pairing. Original decor linked to the name of the restaurant. Well presented cocktails. Well-chosen recommended wines. We tried different starters and meals and everything was well prepared.

We were very disappointed with our experience. We had the tasting menu with the food and wine pairing, and its definitely not worth the price. In terms of the menu, nothing to search for. No premium texture and ingredients. The main course, the lamb was overcooked and the dish extremely salty. The wines added nothing to the dishes in terms of pairings. We expected much better from this restaurant and the chef.

The beadle is simply a unique experience in a church setting. They will create each dish using a wine to create the perfect bite for you! Its like you eat what you drink and drink what you eat. During your experience you can play the smell game with the waiter, ask and he will explain what it is. A la carte experience or for the whole thing, the discovery menu. Very good selection of wines. I recommend! Parking: On St-Jean Street, its difficult to find a place. Otherwise at the SPAQ in Youville.

Amazing restaurant. Four friends of us went there 2 weeks ago and chose the 4-course menu accompanied by wine. I highly recommend. The wine and meal arrangement was excellent and the experience 5/5 overall. The servers are professional and know their subjects well.

The dishes and wines are very good. Our server was very friendly. The prices are fair, considering the quality of the food and the service. We came during the week, by chance, it s more intimate. Great experience, we will come back!

I ate the focaccia and Greek-style olive salad, the prime rib of beef with wine accompaniment! It was excellent.

My boyfriend has been to this restaurant 3 times in the past and each time the food was stunning and memorable. Yesterdays dining experience was the opposite. We had the tasting menu with food and wine pairing. The 5 dishes disappointed us greatly. Dishes without complexity and no balance of tastes. The difference in quality is dizzying between previous experiences and yesterday. A total bill of $415 including taxes and tip for rubbish. The only positive point: the wines were delicious.

We ended 2023 at Le Bedeau and the menu was excellent from start to finish. Lots of flavors and variety in the dishes. The food and wine pairing was also good.

Dinner on 01/18/2024: Super beautiful restaurant, the ecclesiastical theme is highlighted with taste and skill, it is very frank and warm. The service team is skillful, professional and friendly. Félix was very efficient, especially in his wine recommendations. Very good pairings that are out of the ordinary! For the food, the concept of tapas was pleasant, but like many similar places in Quebec, it is difficult to share in even numbers of guests given the culinary trend of serving dishes with the star in odd numbers. We had three snacks from the menu, two main tapas and 1 dessert. In short, the culinary experience was good, but I dare say with a certain lack of audacity (or research). Snacks: The oysters were sublime, well prepared, with a classic mignonette. Three of the six were prepared, with added béarnaise sauce, very good too. Its a nice contrast to have the fresh product and a fresh product enhanced on the same plate. The price is very reasonable too. I didnt like the cod accras more, there didnt seem to be enough cod meat and seasoning in the dish and the lardo iberico written on the menu didnt end up on the plate. The sauce with lemon was however very good, like a classier tartar sauce. The patatas bravas left me disappointed. The texture was sublime, but with the aioli put on top we lost all the subtlety in the tomato sauce. We were also told about soppresata and there was none. It was easily worth half the sticker price. Homemade bread lacks salt, otherwise it has a nice texture and a nice appearance. Main: The scallop crudo was the star of the evening, a lovely harmony of fresh flavors with a slight smoky taste, well worth the price, if not more. The juxtaposed walleye dish did not have the same splendor. Its difficult to combine onion and fish (especially white), because the onion will often overwhelm the subtle taste of the fish. I felt more like I was eating a dish of processed onions than fish. The spicy ricotta in the dish was absolutely divine. For dessert, a caramel praline cabbage which had a superb texture and a good taste. In short, a great experience, with refinement and corrections to the menu it will become a very beautiful one! Keep up the good work!

Perfect experience in every way

Good experience with the tasting menu and food/wine pairings. The service is also excellent with many explanations and the wines go very well with each dish. I recommend for those who want a special occasion.

We couldnt wait to try this new restaurant. The atmosphere and decoration immediately charmed us. At the table, we wanted to have the tasting menu. We are then told that everyone at the table must take the option in order for it to be available. The tasting menu includes several raw items. Being pregnant, I ask if it is possible to modify some options so that I can eat them. It was then mentioned to me that it was impossible. So my entire table was refused the tasting menu. The service was rather slow. The dishes we ordered were good. All in all, we had a pleasant evening. We do not believe we will repeat the experience. Its a shame, because the tasting menu might have changed our minds about the quality/price ratio. Ps. Im not sure that the mention female owned is quite accurate in this Google review. Vegetarian options: Im not vegetarian, but the menu only had one option for vegetarians. Otherwise, cheese was available. Dietary restrictions: No accommodation possible for dietary restrictions. The other three people at my table were refused the tasting menu because I couldnt have it, even though I was 30 weeks pregnant. I asked if it was possible for the tasting menu to be adapted to avoid the raw options and I was told it was impossible. 3 tapas options were therefore offered to me. Only one mocktail option. I understand that pregnant women are not their main clientele, however, a vegetarian would have only had one option available. So, I think the mention about restrictions is not quite right here.

We had a great experience with a group of 4 here. The food and wine was very good. At one point there was a hitch getting our third course but overall good experience.

Really delicious dishes but very disappointing service with little explanation of the dishes and which spoiled our experience a little. No option for vegetarians in tasting which prevents the entire table from taking this menu too!

Best restaurant in Quebec! Ask to be in Elodie s section! The food and wine pairing is a must! What a restaurant! Go for it! Everything is wow, from the decor, to the food, including the wine and the service!

Beware, most wines were biodynamic! Nice restaurant, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. But beware if you dont want to support religious cults, this establishment actively promotes biodynamy and therefore the Anthroposophical sect, its toxic practices and its esoteric bs. I cant tell if it was proselytism or honest mistake as this cult is pretty good at feigning ignorance and hiding its true nature.

Excellent bistro style tapas wine bar formula. The tasting menu is the ultimate. Explosion of flavors. Varied dishes to discover ranging from seafood, fish, pulled pork, flank steak. The wines are surprising. Impeccable service.

Pretentious for nothing. The food is ok no more portions too small. There was a group of us and we came out with a bill that was way too expensive and were still hungry..

Everything was delicious! This is our 3rd time and we have always greatly enjoyed the meal. We will go back there for sure!

What an amazing find! The food was exceptional, the service outstanding. Our waiter Felix was gracious and informative. We had a charcuterie board, a couple of different cheeses, olives, pickled onions, absolutely wonderful. One of the best experiences in a restaurant ever, and I don t say that lightly, we have traveled extensively in the US and Europe. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tremendous. I can t stress enough how great the food and service is. My partner and I did the pre set menu+ wine pairing. I m seeing other reviews about the portion size however we came into knowing it was tapas style- smaller plates. Our server is amazing, the vibe is comfortable, fun and romantic. If you re a foodie I highly recommend this place. Defiantly will be coming back / recommending this to friends and family. I m fully English and had no issues with language. Can t wait to be back in the city to enjoy this place all over again!!!!

We went for the first time last Friday evening. Very disappointed with our experience, firstly the waitress did not think to change the glass of wine following a change of type of wine, the music was a little too loud we always had a background noise, to our left a well-known personality who was having no class with his girlfriend sitting on top of him at their table. The dishes were OK but nothing more. In short, we are very disappointed with our experience unfortunately. Especially for a $250 bill...

I rarely leave negative reviews for a restaurant, but I believe my experience last week is worth sharing. We went with friends and we were all disappointed with our experience, both food and service. The table wanted to take the Québec table gourmande menu, so I asked if it was possible to have a vegetarian option. The waiter replied yes .well I m going to see if the cooks are down the waiter was nonchalant throughout the service. On the food side, the foccacias were not cooked, the pasta was very bland and basic and the risotto was not cooked in addition to being very salty. All for $250 for 2 people I believe that experiences vary greatly from one time to another, and a standardization of quality would encourage me to come back. THANKS

The place is beautiful and the food is delicious, however the portions are ridiculously small considering the price, compared to restaurants of similar level in Quebec.

I was there a few days ago for diner. Despite a great customer service and a beantiful decor, the food is good but the portions are way too small. It s not even a tapas anymore, it s 1 bite. 1 slice of Duck breast for 20$ is excessive. I wont unfortunatly go back.

Yesterday I went with a group. The service was impeccable, but the dishes were overpriced for the size of the portions. After a $120 bill (including food and alcohol), we went to McDonalds so we could get through the rest of the evening without feeling hungry. Unfortunately, I dont think Ill go back there.

Restaurant located on St-Jean Street in old Quebec. The place is easily accessible. The ambiance inside is slightly chic and casual. We quickly see the inspiration of the church. (Its not a religious place but more the style of decoration). The place is really beautiful and well decorated. Its clean and pleasant. The staff knows their menu and wine list well. A beautiful menu to share and several pleasant wines to discover. This restaurant is truly a great discovery of the year.

This restaurant is, in my opinion, a tourist trap. I didnt like my experience.
