Im sold! We loved the linguini with mushrooms and truffle oil and since then we come back every time we visit Quebec. Everything I try is delicious. The price seems to me to be commensurate with the quality and therefore easily justifiable. It is also very well located.

My partner and I went there with the Tuango package in May 2024 at $79.99 for 4 services. The portions were very small. The service was good. I loved the tomato soup as a starter, but the arancini was much too spicy... the sauce ruined the dish I thought... its a shame. The beef cheek was very good and tender but cold and therefore less pleasant to eat. I found that the accompaniments left something to be desired... a small salad of grated beets and carrots and fries. For dessert, the caramel pecan pie was still frozen and tasted like fake caramel. The service was good and the restaurant very quiet.

I have visited a few times, whenever I m in Quebec City. The staff is friendly, the food has been delicious, and the atmosphere can be described as cozy-casual.

The staff is courteous and smiling. The choice on the menu is varied to suit all tastes. We loved our evening. The only negative point is the heat inside the restaurant otherwise everything was perfect.

We went to this restaurant having a Tuango ticket which allowed us to have 2 table dhôte for $80. Which is a very good price, in my opinion. The food was very good, the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the waiter was stupid and seemed annoyed that we had a Tuango ticket. He even lied about how much to tip. In total, it cost us $138 since we had drinks. He had written on the invoice that 15% = $26.55. Its not, its $20.70. This lack of honesty shocked us.

For the location, decor, and price I found this place disappointing. They should rename it to just Le cafe Quebec because it s not as grand as it might lead on. I tried the escargot and salmon tartar. The salmon tartar was blander and less meaty than what I expected, I got better salmon tartar the previous night at a different restaurant. The escargot met expectations, but did not exceed expectations at all. I found the blue cheese to overpower the garlic flavour I was looking for in the escargot.

Place to avoid. The quantity of food was too small, with only 5 slices of pepperoni on the pizza, which seems to be a norm according to the waiter. The fries were overcooked and bathed in oil.

Upscale casual dining with a large outdoor patio with both umbrellas for shade during the day and heaters for the evening. Friendly and efficient staff, and great food. The General Taos Chicken was tender white meat seasoned perfectly. Definitely a place to check out!

Nice little place on Grand Allee. We were originally going to eat out on the patio, but it was windy, so they let us eat inside without any problems. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. Must try their ribs. Delicious! Wont go wrong! Kid-friendliness: The nuggets, fries and choco loco were a hit!

We came to have breakfast here, it was disappointing we were served after 40 minutes, the dishes did not live up to the photos: the fruits were hot, the eggs not cooked enough, no salt or of pepper, we had to look for our own cutlery and ask several times for napkins, butter, sugar, etc. The place is very nice but the service and the cuisine did not convince us.

Their service is really normal, so I didn t pay tip a lot. After that the server told me we should pay more. It was first time to be ask for a tip. It was rude.

We wanted to have a dinner experience directly on Grande Allée near the Comédia Haha festival site...for the perfect location, the waiter was perfect, but the food so disappointing and too expensive for the quality. The Burrata starter...its NOT burrata! A mini piece with 3 too-hard rusks with pear and candy cane style caramel, thats a no! Parmesan fondue very good but 2 pieces for $19 makes no sense! Caesar salad very good but expensive. We all had pasta (spaghetti polpette) the polpettes had a good taste, but the tomato sauce very ordinary. Seafood pasta ($40)!! A few shrimps and never found the other seafood!!! In short, a tourist trap!

We were served by Rose, and the service was wonderful. The food was excellent. I had the seafood pasta, it was delicious! The restaurant is super beautiful, I highly recommend it. To do again!!!

Super nice location for the terrace. Did we have a special menu for the FEQ period? Because we found it to be a little expensive, but still very good. Let me explain: 2 squares of cheese fondue for $19 is still a very expensive price. The burger was very good, but the quantity of fries was small for a dish costing more than $25, the same for the gnocchi with sausage meat and burrata, excellent but expensive. For cocktails, the mojito is very good (raspberry mocktail version too), the green sangria was good too, the special green margarita (electric I think) was ok. The only disappointment with the zombie cocktail was that I was looking for the taste of the juice in this glass which practically only tasted like grenadine. The other meal choices also looked very good: pizza, fish n chips, etc. All in all, a good choice of restaurant on Grande-Allée.

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht, daß Ambiente sehr schön aber das Essen sehr mittelmäßig...Meine Frau hatte Nudel mit Garnelen, die Nudel waren komplett verkocht anschließend war Sie bestimmt eine halbe Stunde auf der Toilette...Anschließend bei der Rechnung, wurde ich vom Keller noch darauf hingewiesen ich müsste Tipp geben....Alles andere wie ein schönes Erlebnis..

My colleagues and I went here for a group dinner. Due to the limited time we had, I ordered a pizza. (Capital) The quality was completely normal. Four relatively large pieces of pizza, but a bit pricey, really lacking in spices and seasonings. The beer was good. (Blanche de Chambly) The service was relatively quick and friendly. The decor was attractive. But there are definitely better restaurants on this street.

We went for dinner there with a Tuango package. We wanted the beef cheek as a table dhôte, but the cook told our waitress (super nice by the way) that the portion of cheek was super small and that customers often make the jump and that she did not recommend that for a guy like me (I really appreciated his honesty!) So I took the leavened sides which were cooked sous vide, it had a good taste but it would have lacked a bit of crispiness (put it to grind a little for caramelization would have been perfect). Then, my girlfriend had an oriental salmon. Unfortunately it was still very raw inside... the waitress returned it to the kitchen to recook it. Otherwise the taste was good and the portions correct. As for the parmesan fondue, the breading is very hard, thick and crispy, it camouflages the taste of the 5 cheeses. The soup was original and good. The custard was ok too. As for our waitress, super nice and pleasant atmosphere.

Disappointing! The plates are very large with little food, very poor value for money. Kind but inexperienced young waitress. The bread basket arrives once the plates are finished; the second glass of wine must be requested three times; Parmesan and pepper must be requested, glasses of water have been forgotten. the dishes had no taste and even less flavor! This explains the few customers on their terrace on a beautiful Friday evening in June when all the other restaurants are full. AVOID!

We had a great time in every way! Friendly and warm atmosphere, attentive and charming waitress, excellent food, from starters to desserts. Starter of 5 cheese fondue squares; the best Ive ever eaten because the crust is perfectly crispy. The blue cheese snails are also divine. Great choice of wines, cocktails and spirits. Delicious beef cheek although the piece is very small (the waitress was, however, kind enough to warn me beforehand). The meat melts in your mouth and the sauce is delectable, so I would have had more! In addition, with the Tuango offer, we benefited from a nice discount. And, we felt welcome, even with the coupon. In short, we were lucky to discover a good address in Quebec! See you soon

Bill of $139 for three people, without alcohol and without table dhôte. The pizza is a childs portion, I had to go get a sandwich at Subway on the way out. The service is correct and the atmosphere friendly. The food is expensive and the taste is not up to par.

Our server Benoit asked for $23 tip on a $90 invoice. I challenged him and he was unable to explain the calculation. I ended up giving $14 (more than 15%) which made him unhappy. Sad ending for a nice evening overall. Farewell...

The menu is not very varied however.

Meal on the 31st expensive even though nothing was homemade. Its the same fondue as at Costco, only less good and barely hot... At the same time it was the only restaurant where there were places left 2 days before coming, I should have known that. But hey, the waitress was nice and the decor was pretty.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I especially loved the spaghetti - it was the best Ive ever had! The atmosphere was cozy and clean, and the staff was very friendly and professional. We also tried the Mediterranean pizza, hamburger, and Profita ice cream rolls, and everything was amazing. I would definitely come back again!

Very very bad experience. Given the number of bars/restaurants on the street, go elsewhere without hesitation! Thanks to the waiter who ruined our evening, treating us like thieves by lecturing us for 10 minutes, since I started paying for my drink without leaving a tip ($1.70), my cocktail having arrived with a hair in it. With a mediocre presentation, no cardboard straw (supposedly for ecological reasons, while a gas fire is burning on the terrace while it is 25°C). Undrinkable, looking for the alcohol in it... The service had nothing that merited a tip, which no is not obligatory as this gentleman tried to make us believe as if we came from another planet. Im happy to give it away every time, if I havent done it here its because theres a reason. In any case, he didnt give my friends the chance to leave one, yelling at them about what they should or shouldnt do with the terminal and the tip. Its really serious to allow yourself to talk to people like that.

If the other establishments on the street are better rated, its not for nothing. Unpleasant service. No straws in this establishment explaining that it is for ecology, perhaps they really do not know the existence of straws made of cardboard, legs or metal, ... The cocktails were really average and without straws, its perfect for dripping the mint leaves from the cocktails... In short, I recommend other restaurants on the same street to avoid a bad experience.

they advertise that they are open to breakfast. Thats barely true. Really limited menu and they seemed unprepared for breakfast business. The food was somewhere between bad and acceptable. Lunch and dinner might be fine but look elsewhere for good French breakfast.

18$+tx for not even a full plate of nachos. No salsa, no sour cream and no guacamole. A few chips topped with a bit of cheese, some salsa, a couple of hot peppers and olives, so quite dry. Sangria was okay, but we were very hungry so still very disappointed, never going there again. Waiting service was quite good considering it was an extremely busy night during the FEQ, but still, insanely overpriced for the very little food in the plate. We finished our drinks, paid, and crossed the street to eat some fried chicken at St-Huberts.

Terrible service, we were switched servers and the two were really incompetent. It took a lot of time to receive our drinks (we ended up canceling them) and finally the waiter made a mistake in our invoices and refused to redo them. We hear him shouting at the bartender (the poor kid didnt ask for anything) in short, I recommend zero, I would certainly have preferred St-Hubert on the other side of the street.

The service was slow as dirt when the restaurant was less than half full. They also gave us a menu full of food they didnt have. The dishes we did get were very small, but decent. Staff was nice though.

We had a pleasant lunch on the terrace and we liked it. We returned at night and the food was good (delicious pizza and hamburger), but we were disappointed by the waiters treatment when paying, demanding the tip in an insistent and quite unpleasant way, when at noon in the same place he did not give it to us. They had demanded and we left a tip voluntarily. For that reason I rate it a 3.

We were happy to go and enjoy a summer dinner on Grande-Allée as a family, two adults and two teenage girls. But we became disenchanted very quickly... we ordered our drinks, among other things, a Martini... the waiter came back to tell us that unfortunately there were no more olives... after the change of choice we had our drinks 45 minutes later... my Sangria with melon no flavor colored water. Seafood pasta... just 4 shrimps and we re looking for the clams Cesar salad with grilled chicken . the salad is all rusty and wilted pi chicken fretttte!!! The starter of Fondu au fromage du Québec .. it s like a frozen one from the grocery store!!! And what can I say about my salad with caramelized pears and grilled almonds . wilted arugula .pears in cans All this with a bill for gourmet meals which is far from it!!!

We left after being seated. The waiter told us that it was impossible to get the steak cooked differently. Because only 1 cook. According to him, it is impossible in Quebec to have rare cooking: illegal in Quebec. Lolllll Unfortunately for him we have lived here for 12 years, we are not tourists!!! Just amazing Tourists, stay away from this place!

We enjoyed walking the beautiful streets of Quebec City, We saw a very inviting restaurant and went in to enjoy a meal. Pleasant atmosphere, the place is clean and tidy, we sat outside near heaters. We ordered from the menu a good beer, spaghetti in tomato sauce, languini with mushroom cream, margherita pizza. The dishes are tasty but small and expensive. Kind, helpful and smiling staff, gave a good feeling. A delicious experience, we had a great time

My husband and our dog stood by the menu in the front for a take-out. A waiter(tall and bald with glasses) passed by us, looked at our dog and immediately said No. He didn t even give us a chance to tell him that we re ordering a take-out. We felt extremely discriminated and would never return due to the waiter s poor judgment and attitude. It is very disappointing.

I went to the grand café with friends this Monday, November 13. The food was really good, I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. We were practically the only ones in the restaurant. However, the server seemed very rushed. As soon as we had finished our starter, he came to remove the plates and bring us the main course. It already seemed very strange to us. The evening continued quietly. We enjoy the time with friends. At 9:15 p.m., the waiter asked us to leave because we were the only ones and they decided to close the restaurant early. It ended the evening on a very unpleasant note. My boyfriend went to get the car and my friends and I waited at the entrance to the restaurant, in the warmth. Until the waiter sounded the alarm and we were forced to go out and wait in the cold. Luckily my boyfriend had just arrived with the car. The waiter said youre spoiled as if to mention that we were lucky he arrived at that time. Otherwise we would have waited in the cold. It was really disappointing, because the meal was really very good.
