The 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing was certainly one of the best gastronomic experiences of my life. Attention to detail worthy of a Michelin star. Impeccable service from start to finish.

My company HQ Tourist Services has been working with Le Clan for our gastronomic tour for over a year and we are more than satisfied with their cuisine and customer service. Stéphane Modat is undoubtedly the chef closest to his suppliers and his team. And what can we say about his team! Passionate, proud and very helpful; they imbue the values of the Clan. Ive been to Clan as a customer for dinner, dinner and brunch and they excel in all three. It s a restaurant for epicureans, for people from here and elsewhere who want to discover the surprises that can be concocted with local products. Thank you for making my taste buds and those of my customers dream meal after meal.

With a friend, we recently discovered this little restaurant in Old Quebec. In addition to the delicious, sophisticated and well-balanced cuisine (we are always fascinated by the creations of chefs who work hard to put together menus with local products!), we were pleasantly surprised by the level of service at this restaurant. The staff is really very present and attentive to their customers. The dishes are well explained as they appear at our table! To discover!

Re-posting this review that somehow just disappeared (I guess you can pay google for that.............................. You must be half-a-loser to go to this place. You must be someone who needs someone else to tell you what s good. I am not going to get into every little detail here. But the 5-course meal showcased consisted of three fish dishes (not seafood; no scallop or crab in sight just fish). And one of those fishes was Sea Bass. Seriously! We sat in the bar area for this dinner. A disturbing ambience. The glow of red glass was like Dracula s cellar but with a TV behind the bar (like a sport s bar) on a video loop of the Grand Chef himself gutting fish and hang out with bears. This Chef really likes fish and fishing, I guess. The bottle of wine was good enough to help us deal with it all and the 500$ bill that comes with this culinary disturbance.

Wow what a dinner! The service is exceptional and the staff are very friendly. We were on the high tables in the bar area, it was an intimate room. The chefs film was very interesting too. We took the 4 course tasting, but it ended up being 7 courses. I had indicated that it was our 15th anniversary as a couple and we had a little surprise. Very nice attention. Good value for money with the food and wine pairing. I recommend.

Walking through old Quebec looking for a place for a small bit and drink, came across Le Clan, standing outside reviewing the menu, young man came out and explained their menu and little about the food, we were convinced and came inside for a lovely lunch, elevated preparation for the price, fine dining level service! Outstanding, thank for a nice surprise place for lunch!

Everything from service to presentation and each bite delectable! Only complaint was a suggested glass of red wine with our red meat offerings turned into $30 a glassx2. I ve never paid $30 for A glass of wine, European, US, or Canadian. It was a shock. Other than that, exceptional.

Excellent Two of us came to discover, thanks to a coupon, 2 brunches for the price of one...honestly I didnt use it when paying. The service is impeccable, all the dishes served are explained. The technical mastery of the cooks is exceptional. Its delicious and hearty. Great moment my partner allergic to lactose each time another element was planned for her. We went as part of food tour and was so good decided yo go back. Bad idea - server was arrogant and dumped us on hostess to serve (she was pleasant but too busy to arrwnd to us) . Spent 90 minutes to get first course and was ignored entire time. Soup came tepid. First time in 30 years we ever canceled the rest of our order and left.

After a week spent travelling I was pleased to stumble across this charming establishment. Completely at odds of what to order I left it to Michael and his colleagues. Perfect place to spend a gastronomic evening. Quebec products are in the spotlight, the food and wine pairings are surprising and lead to discovery. Im going back there again tomorrow! Favorite of the evening, the Inuit-inspired dish with arctic char. Original beetroot pre dessert. Fall dessert with a beautiful marriage of textures. Financier just perfect with an espresso. Even their carbonated water is excellent. Excellent value for money.

Overall - I do recommend Le Clan as a must visit. The kind of place thats worth prioritizing or making a detour for if youre in the area. The atmosphere, the food, the presentation, and the wine list were all exceptional. Unfortunately the service was lacking. We looked forward to eating here for a very special evening, and the service unfortunately left us very turned off by the end. We were running late for our reservation and tried to call twice but no one answered. It didnt end up being an issue however as our table still wasnt ready. While waiting however, not once did anyone offer to take my partners coat or offer her water or a cocktail. We were finally seated at the bar almost 30 minutes after our reservation, and then finally seated at our actual table a little more than 40 minutes after the reservation. We did the discovery menu (which is absolutely worth it) and chose a lovely bottle of white (the wine list and sommelier are excellent). I did find it somewhat odd given the small size of the restaurant that most of the dishes were presented by either busboys or other servers. It seems we saw our server maybe 3 times in the entire meal. In the end we asked for the final course to go as there had been an unusually long gap between courses and then it was brought up plated a few moments later (clearly communication was not effective). All in all, still worth the visit, if not for the food and discovery alone. But the front of house team clearly needs better training and coordination in order to have the service experience match the level of the kitchen.

Amazing service! The servers were so nice and attentive to us. We were very well received. We never lacked anything. 10 out of 10 for service. The food was delicious. The dishes from start to finish were to our tastes. The flavors were incredible and matched well with the 6 courses of wine. This restaurant has really just risen to the top of my favorite restaurants in Quebec. We ate our fill and more.

The service was incredible. Our server was so warm and welcoming, which was surprising for such an elegant setting. The lunch menu is a tremendous value. The pumpkin soup was like no other pumpkin soup I have tasted; the guinea fowl cordin bleu was delicious, and the 2 specials of the day (arctic char and beets) were very tasty. One of the best dining experiences in Canada. And, again, the service was wonderful.

We tasted 8 wines (in the food-wine pairing) interspersed with (too) small bites. The quantity of food was greatly insufficient to judge its quality. The price-quality ratio is low. If I owned this restaurant, I would be embarrassed to charge such prices for so little food. N.B. We are regulars at gourmet restaurants with reasonable portions but in this case, it was not up to par and did not live up to its reputation.

Wow, the best culinary experience i ve experienced. It was absolutely incredible. Well worth taking the 6 serving diner and letting the chef take us on a wild tour of Quebecois culinary exquisiteness. Chef Modat brings french originalité to native foods to create an amazing menu. My wife and I flew in from Kelowna last night. On the redeye. We could not check in to our hotel until 3pm . We had not slept. We decided to do some city tours in Quebec City and then have some drinks around town. We had waited too long to find a restaurant reservation for dinner . We walked around town. Everyone was full. We walked by this restaurant twice looking in the window, the kitchen crew was behind the window. I was instantly impressed. My wife decided that was the best place for her. They were pretty full. My wife had quite a bit to drink. She is Korean, her grasp of the English language isn t so great, let alone French. They sat us, we ordered wine, my wife instantly spills her wine and shatters the glass all over the floor. At this point we were both embarrassed, everyone was staring at us. Our server Michael came to the table, cleaned the mess, calmly made my wife feel better, Michael walked us through the menu, knowing we did not understand French. He was amazing. What an experience. The food was outstanding, the service was unmatched. After a few minutes , nobody remembers my wife dropping her wine. Thanks against n Michael!!!!

I really consider myself a person who eats everything. But it was very difficult to eat at this restaurant. I think it was the first time in my life that I couldnt swallow food because it was so bad. It looked great, but I dont think Ive ever eaten such bad things in my life! I returned all the dishes. Impossible to eat the tasting menu. And I must have had at least 30 tasting menus in my life and I have NEVER returned a dish.

My wine was very hot when it arrived and only got hotter during my stay at the restaurant, even though I asked for it to be put in an ice bucket. The food was horrible, tasteless, everything was terrible! I dont recommend

Each (food and wine pair) was thoroughly explained by our server . The ambiance was rustic yet intimate with mood-setting music. We appreciated the Chef s farm to table sourcing of ingredients. An exceptional meal in an exceptional restaurant. The mastery of the dishes was perfect, the flavors perfectly balanced, a real pleasure for the eyes and the taste buds. The chef and the pastry chef tell us a story through quality dishes. Its nice to see a restaurant that encourages local producers by highlighting their products on the plate (and in the decor!) as well as the waiters when they brought us the dishes. Me and my husband arent fine dining people on the regular and were so underwhelmed by all the dishes here. Maybe theyre good for a finer palate, for the price, we wish we had skipped it. There was nothing I was impressed by. And the weird graffiti cartoon mural seemed very out of place for the setting

Its rather expensive but I tasted some things that were out of the ordinary. Unusual meat and fish.

Today, my spouse and I had lunch at Le Clan based on our experience at their restaurant during our food tour with HQ Services Touristiques. Merica was our server. I would like to give Le Clan five stars because of the food, but I can only give it four for the following reasons: 1) The food service to our table was very slow - we had long wait times between dishes. This is compared to a table of two who were seated after two of our five dishes were delivered and who were able to complete their meal before we got our dessert. And, a table of three who likewise were seated after two of our dishes were served. In that case, they ordered almost twice the number of plates and were served their dessert before we completed our main meal; 2) One of our dishes was not delivered until we brought it to the attention of our server - who thought we had completed our meal. It was clearly forgotten and was then rushed to our table. 3) A table nearby was disappointed that the dessert they ordered was not available after their main course was finished. A table of three near us ordered a crème brûlée at the start of their meal, but when it was time for the dessert to be delivered, the server told them that the last one had been sold. Although this did not happen to us, it highlights the issue of food service - when the server got the order, she should have reserved the crème brûlée so her customer would not be disappointed. Which clearly she was when she got the bad news. Overall, I give the food 5 stars, the decor 5 stars, and service 3 stars.

Brunch for 6. Fixed menu. I dont normally post reviews, but had to for this place. I went here for brunch with my family and some friends. Brunch was a fixed menu and was served in courses. We had a meat restriction for a few of our members and they swapped out some meats with replacements as well (the replacements tasted great). Food was excellent and we were served in courses. Proportions were great as well. Would recommend going here if youre looking for a place in this area. It was definitely a highlight of our trip especially after experiences with other restaurants in Quebec that werent so great.

I experienced discrimination and extremely rude treatment at this restaurant. A friend of mine, who is a food critic, tried the tasting menu at this restaurant during the winter and thought it was quite good. Before I arrived in Quebec, he recommended this restaurant to me, hoping I could try the summer tasting menu and provide him with feedback. So, I made a reservation for dinner at 8:00 PM on August 31. I arrived at the restaurant on time. I had reserved a table, not a seat at the bar. Although there were some empty tables, the server did not ask me where I would like to sit and instead led me to a seat bar area, elevated and facing everyone in the room. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable as everyone was looking at me. I noticed that the customers who arrived after me were all asked by the server where they preferred to sit, but no one asked me. So, I asked the server could I change the seat, cause I felt very embarrassing and uncomfortable sitting there. The server said they needed to check with the front desk, and I agreed. After the server checked, another person, who seemed to be the manager, came over to me. Without even speaking to me, he just said, If you want to change seats, follow. He didn t look at me or even stop to wait for me, just walked off briskly. His tone and actions were very rude, as if I were his pet, not a customer. I was very upset. I wondered if there was an issue with what I dressed. After driving for eight hours, I had dressed for comfort, which wasn t fancy but was certainly not inappropriate. So, I asked the server if there was a problem with my dresscode. The reservation didn t mention a dress code, and I wondered if I didn t meet it. The server replied that there wasn t an issue. I was extremely angry to be treated so rudely without any reason. No one asked me where I wanted to sit, and no one provided friendly service. The food for the entire night was also terrible. I believe that the hallmark of a French restaurant should be exquisitely plated dishes with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. However, all the dishes at this restaurant were carelessly presented, and most importantly, the food tasted overwhelmingly salty and sour. I don t understand how a French restaurant could manage to emphasize sourness and saltiness so strongly in every dish, overpowering all other flavors. Some dishes were so bad that I couldn t even finish them, even though I hate wasting food. The bar seat I was initially placed at remained empty throughout the night. No other customers were seated there until I left. This means I never have to sit there in the first place. I don t know why I was treated this way. Is it because I m a petite girl? Because I m Asian? Because I spoke English? Because I didn t look wealthy enough? I still can t believe what happened last night. In the end, I still left a 20% tip, only because I didn t want the staff who were uninvolved in this matter to be deprived of a tip, especially the lady who valet-parked my car. She was very friendly and lovely. Unfortunately, by the time I finished my meal and left the restaurant, she had already gone off duty, so I couldn t tip her individually. I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant and don t think it s worth anyone s time to try.

Expensive and doesn t taste good. Never paid for a $72 4 course meal that was this bad. The meats are too gamey and experimental. 2 out of the 4 dishes I couldn t even eat.

Honestly, the food was not up to par for the price paid. Although the service was excellent, the 6-course meal disappointed us: several dishes lacked flavor, and the fish did not seem fresh. In general, the flavors were pretty bland, except for the poultry dish and the scallops.

I don t recommend it very much. The reviews on the Internet are very bad. Frankly speaking, after eating so many French dishes, this restaurant is really terrible. The waiter was very enthusiastic and asked if every dish was delicious. But in the end, I really didn t want to answer this question anymore. It costs about 350 Canadian dollars per person. If you want to eat at a scenic spot and remember it, go and eat it.

My husband, sister and I came here as part of a food and wine pairing tour and loved the sampling we got so much that we decided to go for dinner the following day. Stephanie, the manager and sommelier, was able to get us in even though they were short-staffed. She recommended the 6-course dinner to get a small sampling of a variety of dishes. It was absolutely amazing. Each dish was a work of art and a culmination of so many delicious flavors. This was the best dinner and experience we ve ever had. Stephanie was amazing, making sure that we were always taken care of and that we were enjoying ourselves and the food. She recommended a local wine which was also delicious with the food. Thank you Stephanie and the entire staff at Le Clan for an unforgettable experience. We all highly recommend this restaurant for an experience that is unlike any other.

Wonderful evening! We highly recommend the tasting menu with wine pairings! One of us ordered the four course meal, and the other ordered the six course, and the staff was vary gracious in dividing the two extra courses (and wine pairings) so we could both try everything. A highlight of our visit to Quebec!

We chose this place because of the high rating on Google Maps but felt quite disappointed with the food. One dinner was wasted during our precious 4-day trip (with only 4 dinner options). The ambiance was great, and our server was absolutely passionate. We had our water refilled more than five times, and the washroom was very fancy. However, we didnt like the food. The dishes were definitely pretty and sounded fancy, but a mushroom is a mushroom, and salmon is salmon. When we dine at other fine dining places, we can feel the magical combination of all the ingredients in the entrée and are amazed by the design, presentation, and miraculous taste. But we didnt experience much of that at Le Clan. We had one shared foie gras + the 6-course tasting menu. Unfortunately, none of the dishes made us feel surprisingly good. Given that we spent $140 per person, it wasnt worth the money.

Simply incredible!!!

Excellent food this lunchtime at Café de la Paix by Le Clan. We met Chef Stéphane Modat busy in the kitchen. Its a shame that the service was not up to standard: our cold starters and dishes were served at the next table, so the hot dishes arrived before. An error can obviously happen, but we would have appreciated a little word of apology for the inconvenience. Instead, we were served starters after the main course, without saying anything.

Great food and amazing service! We ordered the 6 course service, and the lobster with peas, the veal dish and the mussel appetizer were especially excellent.

We were walking in old Québec and fell upon this place by coincidence. A customer was leaving and highly recommended it which prompted us to enter. We were welcomed right away although it was already late. The kitchen was in full view downstairs, but when we went upstairs the rooms were beautiful with a romantic atmosphere. We had the four-course service menu, which was an incredible culinary experience, which they tailored to our restrictions (e.g., I dont eat mammals). The food was both inspired by, and produced by, the surrounding region. I also had the wine pairing which was perfect. Our waiter was also very knowledgeable, and explained every dish and wine tasting, which was truly part of this culinary experience. For the quality of this restaurant, the prices were more than fair. We usually dont write reviews, but we were surprised that this restaurant did not appear first on websites list of recommendations, which prompted us to write this excellent review. If youre looking for a wonderful culinary experience with an exotic ambiance, you will not be disappointed.

Loved this place. Came here for the special M-F lunch, CA$ 5.00 per plate. These are small plates, but 6 or 7 for two people works well. I wish we had had time to return for another lunch or dinner. This place is marvelous. They source their ingredients locally and regionally, and the preparations highlight the flavors of the core ingredients without cluttering them with too many twists and turns. Everything we had was great: raw oysters; Nordic shrimp salad with tasty and sweet shrimps; deli-quality beef tongue with potato salad; sautéed sweetbreads in a savory sauce: fresh fried scallops; maple Pecan tart; and a gorgeous sea buckthorn sorbet. Great service and comfortable atmosphere, too. Our favorite meal of the trip.

Where to start? (English will follow) Our experience at the gourmet restaurant Le Clan de Québec was absolutely extraordinary. We chose the 6-course menu, which actually turned into a sumptuous 8-course feast, thanks to the delicious appetizers. Each dish was beautifully designed and was accompanied by a Clan food and wine pairing, comprised of nestled terroir wines, specially chosen to enhance each bite. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was able to adapt to the preferences of each of us, making the experience even more personal and memorable. The attention to detail and effort to provide a unique experience was felt at every moment. Among the dishes tasted, the souvenir de Salluit plate was the highlight of the evening. This is probably the best plate Ive ever eaten. It was not only a delight for the taste buds, but also an emotional journey. For someone who grew up near the sea, this plate evokes childhood memories through its marine scents and authentic flavors. We also had the chance to taste the worlds smallest cucumber, a curiosity that speaks to the careful attention given to each ingredient. Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, but special mention must be made for the guinea fowl, which was absolutely divine, as well as Salluits unforgettable plate. In summary, Le Clan is more than just a restaurant, it is a true gastronomic experience. If you are looking to experience an exceptional moment, where every detail is carefully orchestrated to create a symphony of flavors, look no further. Our experience at the gastronomic restaurant Le Clan in Quebec was absolutely extraordinary. We chose the 6-course menu, which turned into a sumptuous 8-course feast thanks to the delicious amuse-bouches. Each dish was beautifully crafted and paired with wines from the Clans selection, featuring niche terroir wines specially chosen to enhance every bite. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff adapted to each of our preferences, making the experience even more personal and memorable. The attention to detail and the effort to provide a unique experience were evident at every moment. Among the dishes we enjoyed, the Souvenir de Salluit plate was the highlight of the evening. Its probably the best dish Ive ever had. It was not only a delight for the taste buds but also an emotional journey. For someone who grew up near the sea, this dish evokes childhood memories through its authentic marine aromas and flavors. We also had the chance to taste the worlds smallest cucumber, a curiosity that reflects the meticulous attention given to each ingredient. Every dish was a masterpiece in its own right, but special mention must go to the guinea fowl, which was absolutely divine, as well as the unforgettable Souvenir de Salluit plate. In summary, Le Clan is more than just a restaurant; its a true gastronomic experience. If youre looking to enjoy an exceptional moment where every detail is carefully orchestrated to create a symphony of flavors, look no further. Hidden in a small street in old Quebec, this restaurant is worth the detour! We took advantage of the all dishes for $5 offer, which pays homage to Café de la Paix during lunchtime, and you should too. The dishes are fine, worthy of gourmet cuisine and the low price lightens the bill, which would have been very steep elsewhere. We particularly liked the fried mushrooms, venison/duck sausage, house-smoked whitefish and guinea fowl rillette. Likewise, the desserts are just as high quality. The Clan resuscitates the Café de la Paix brilliantly

While in Quebec City, I had the most wonderful lunch of tapas at this quaint little spot. I enjoy three different plates and each was exceptionally delicious. The flavor, seasoning, temperature and presentation were all perfect.

What an incredible experience! Everyone who works here is passionate about the culinary experience they re delivering. Our server was also the Sommelier, and although we didn t get the wine pairing, I listened in on her storytelling several times; she was lovely. We got the six course tasting and a bottle of wine, and it was a joy. I love the concept of the restaurant, I felt like I learnt more about my country through that experience than a day in a museum and I tried several things I had never had before. The purest ingredients and the most delicious meal in Quebec City.

We had lunch at Le Clan on the first day of our arrival at Quebec. Then we decided to come back for dinner at the end of our 2 months visit. After experienced many restaurants during our stay in Quebec, Le Clan ranked Top 3 of our best restaurants list. This farm to table restaurant is proud to re-create an old recipe once adored by the locals. We are particularly enjoy the chef table on ground floor which allows us to see the culinary preparations in the kitchen.

Great experience set aside a good amount of time for dinner as it takes awhile.

This restaurant is now the best experience I have had in Quebec City. We often have business meals with clients. We were frankly impressed by the food recommendations and attention of the servers. We had surprising dishes like seal, lobster, snow crab and all kinds of sauces that went really well with their dish. All products from Quebec and there is something to be proud of. The meats were cooked to perfection. The pre-dessert and dessert took us by surprise. So much so that we were making jokes about the likelihood of post-dessert. A waiter was passing by and heard us joking. They came to see us again with a post-dessert prepared last minute. Our customers were hugely impressed.

The restaurant offers a 6-course menu for $99, but be prepared to spend around $200 per person after tax for a full meal. The portion sizes are extremely small - most courses are just one bite, except for the dessert. Youll likely need to order at least one additional dish after the $99 meal. While they serve a large cake at the end to fill you up, its not ideal if youre not a fan of sweets or are health-conscious. The most gross food was the seal meat, which had an unpleasant taste reminiscent of dead fish. Overall, the value for money is poor. At $200 per person, I expected a more substantial and satisfying dining experience. The tiny portions for the soso quality food make it hard to recommend.

Its not often that one has the opportunity to see culinary experts at work in a fabulous kitchen. The dishes were well thought out, perfectly prepared, presented and served. The team were accommodating in every way. The ingredients are carefully sourced which explains a frequently changing menu. This is evident in the flavors and complimentary textures. Le Clan should be a must visit for those interested in a gustatorial experience rather than just something to eat. Kudos to the entire team. Keep up the great work.

At first, I was a little intimidated to go eat there alone, but I was quickly made to feel at ease. The refinement and care given to the dishes reflect the service; welcome, dishes, wine, everything! I was received with great kindness and a lot of attention. Everything was so delicate! A memorable experience - both for the taste buds and on a human level. A very inspiring evening. I would return - and recommend - without hesitation.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Quebec. The 6 courses are to be taken with the wines that accompany the dishes. The outing is very expensive, but we discover new flavors. It s a very nice experience.

I was suggested this restaurant. Unfortunately my visit did not live up to my expectations. The service was very good though, perhaps the only positive point. The food was not very tasty. I came alone and was placed on the second floor in a section with a small bar. Very dark lighting and we were only 2 customers. For the atmosphere we will come back. It was almost uncomfortable. Nothing to make you want to stay and have a second drink.

The quality, freshness and concern for serving Quebec products are worthy of mention. For an inexpensive gastronomic experience on Sunday morning, the Clan brunch is a must. Dietary restrictions: Meal replacement for people with celiac disease. My partner ate the best gluten-free bread of her life at Clan with impeccable service to avoid cross-contamination.

This was the last and the worst meal we had in Quebec, what a disappointment! Every other meal we had in the city was great. First of all, it s quite rude to serve with a chipped plate. Secondly, the portion was not reasonable, we d been given what seems like one person s portion, although we ordered 2 of the preset brunch. The table next to us, only one person but got the same amount of food. For 2 people/meals, we only got one bread and one small pie. Oh wait, we did get a bit extra, that is one extra sausages, and 1 piece of devil s eggs. To be fair, the dessert part was fine, one item for each of us. I asked for more bread(one bun) and got charged for extra item, nice! So one bun for two sets, totally makes sense? Thirdly, no English menu and the server didn t bother to explain clearly what s on the menu. Lastly, we waited about 20 minutes for the dessert, again, in a pre-set meal. Don t tell me you make everything from scratch just before the meal. Come on, the tables next to us arrived at similar times all got dessert on time. I don t know what we did wrong to deserve this.

We had a delicious meal here and the service is incredibly good. The food is quite avant garde. Our meals were cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. You have to be really interested in eating meat and game though so don t come here if you re vegetarian. The kitchen accommodated my dietary issues (I m allergic to alliums) with grace and style. I always appreciate that!

Excellent in every way on a perfectly balanced 7-course tasting menu. Favorite about the rabbit which is fantastic. Note that alongside the tasting menu you have the choice of exceptional Quebec meats, such as a Wagyu chop. We almost let ourselves be tempted.

Everything was perfect until the dish at the end... The kind of astronaut with the moon... Really not good. Too smokey, but really for everything else its great. The servers are great, the chef who came to say a word to us, very appreciated. I recommend, everything is delicious and superbly presented, but chef, you have to revisit the flavors of the astronaut and the moon! Foie gras!! My god I dont usually like it but this time Im addicted!

We were treated to a high-end culinary experience last night. Everything was sublime, as much in terms of the quality of the products, the impeccable presentation, the perfect execution and the divine flavors. Maggies gentle service and sommelier Antoines passion for his products allowed us to have an incredible experience. We were treated to some great discoveries of amazing wines and the pairings were perfect. I discovered Stéphanes cuisine a long time ago, during the time of the late restaurant lutopia, and I was very eager to relive an intimate experience in a smaller restaurant where everything is thought out down to the smallest detail. I was not disappointed in any way, Stéphane once again met and even exceeded all my expectations! We even had a visit from Stéphane himself at our table. Little attention much appreciated! His dishes are thoughtful, each element brings something to the whole and the passion is evident as soon as you try to imagine the amount of work that such a degree of perfection requires on a plate. Congratulations to the entire Clan team who made this experience simply perfect. I will definitely come back during my next stay in Quebec!

We had the most incredible meal at Le Clan on 3/3/24. My husband and I are serious foodies and try to visit Michelin starred restaurants in every city we visit that Michelin has rated. Although Michelin hasn t reached Quebec yet, Le Clan is absolutely Michelin star worthy! We loved the tasting menu, and we also did the wine pairing which I highly recommend as it enhanced every course of our meal. The sommelier was incredible and took the time to explain why they chose the particular wine for each course. One person in our party is a pescatarian, and they were happy to adjust her tasting menu. We also started with oysters, foi gras and escargot prior to our tasting menu - all of which were beyond amazing. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our experience so memorable. It was lovely to meet Stephan and his impressive children. Together with the rest of the impeccable staff they made our dining experience top-notch. The other thing I loved is that they locally source all of their meat and vegetables and include a list of where they are sourced. The decor is modern, yet inviting with pictures of the people and places from whom he gets his food (instead of celebrities that some restaurants prefer). And of course, Stephan s whimsical rendition of the last supper complete with famous Quebecians and cartoon characters, further underscores his unique artistry and imagination! Without a doubt we will return here next time we are in Quebec and I can promise you that if you appreciate fine cuisine you will be impressed!

We tried the brunch on a late Sunday afternoon and it was marvelous ! Multiple little plates served almost all together to share. Everything was delicious, qualitative, made with love. Wagyu sausage pickles veggies - venison pâté homemade bread - perfect egg charcuteries - meat balls stew and more. At first you believe it might not be enough, but it s just perfect. The only bemol was the waiter, no greeting, no follow up on the wine request and not very interested at all. The MD took over and changed everything. Very attentive and available. Great experience. I had very high expectations for the restaurant due to the many comments from my friends. Quite honestly, I think my experience was good but nothing more. A very good meal but more than average service. I have nothing to say about the Chefs exceptional cuisine. We had reservations for Sunday brunch. The decor is good but again, I have already seen comparable and superior atmospheres. As for the service, I would say that this is possibly the weakness of the restaurant. Very few smiles from the servers, a lack of knowledge of the menu and too fast a service which does not allow us to take the time to taste and savor the present moment. I would give a passing grade of 7.5 out of 10. I obviously recommend this neighborhood restaurant for the excellence of Chef Modats cuisine, but you should manage your expectations carefully and not rely solely on external opinions.

First experience and so not disappointed. It was a delight from start to finish. We started with a Mimosa and a Pomosa (invention and so good). Really looking forward to going there for dinner. We had excellent service both with the valet parking and inside. We had the chefs table and seeing them work was also a great experience. They all work with a smile and have a warm welcome for all customers.

Loved the entrance where you can see the chef at work in his kitchen as you head upstairs to be seated. Wonderful tasting menu. The Arctic Char (one of four starters) had an amazing texture. The Sommelier demonstrated a love of wine that was truly infectious! A memorable experience.

On December 31, after having had excellent service and meals, our coats were brought to us at... 11:45 a.m. to make sure we would not be there for the New Year... very disappointing in terms of good manners. We had called beforehand, we were told that we could possibly have a drink with the brigade and the chef, which seemed nice to us... This awkwardness eventually put us off coming back! ...especially after spending a very good amount...

What a ridiculous dining experience. The sight of a cartoon Last Supper where the chef is Jesus is your first clue. We stayed against our better judgment. Minutes after sitting down the fruit flies began to swarm our table. To top it all off you get a Virgin Mary pre-dessert. Nothing like being force fed religion or politics with your meal. Won t be back to this nuthouse. Dined in December 2023. On a positive note, the staff were exceptional.

I had the pleasure of trying the tasting menu here last night and wow! I loved absolutely everything about my experience. The food was incredible and presented in such a beautiful way. All of my dishes were so well explained in great details. Finally, the restaurant itself is so beautifully decorated. Every room had its own style and character. I highly recommend it!
