Restaurant Les Palmes in Québec City

We went for lunch during the week. No music, total silence. The eggs benedict were very good but cold. We were never able to tell our waitress (Carole D.) she never came to see us to find out if it was to our liking. No coffee stove. When she came to see us, we had finished for a while, at which point she asked us for 1 or 2 bills and if we wanted coffee. So too late!

Very good like it, the food is very good

Family trip in August 2024. An endless wait for 2 childrens dishes, a salad and an adult dish. And taste-wise it wasnt much better. The service was really not up to par. We had our accommodation in the hotel which was nice, with the indoor pool.

I give one star. For what? I have a nice big piece of laundry twine to clean the dishes. The portion is tiny compared to competitors. The food is worse than the competitors. One side of the childrens waffles was burnt. The service is present however and the atmosphere is great. But if your goal is to eat your fill at lunch. There is much better.

The place itself is super beautiful, a beautiful restaurant in a hotel. Well, the food was really not great: For my children, a burnt waffle each with more or less fresh fruit, for the adults, LARGE piece of laundry string to wipe the plates sprinkled on eggs benedict, 3 cheese omelette with eggs not really cooked and hot chocolate, which didnt taste like chocolate AT ALL, I had to add milk to try to get a taste of something. Dinners look better...

Very good service, pleasant and friendly. The food is also very good, with generous portions! As for the atmosphere, its quite special. Personally, I find the whole thing very kitsch and cheesy. Near a hotel swimming pool. BUT, it made me laugh, and that s a good thing!

Totally recommended, the food was to die for and the service is first class. I recommend the seafood pasta with scallops and the salmon with vegetables, everything is delicious. A place to repeat.

We looked for a restaurant near our hotel and Les Palmes appeared, a great success. From the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere of the place, it was a very pleasant dinner. Varied menu and competitive prices.

Nice place to chill and play billiards

A good place for a good meal. The service is very good, thanks to our server who was very attentive! We had a plate of Prime Rib, their signature dish. It was good but unfortunately, it was not cooked medium-rare, a little overcooked but good to eat. Its their signature dish so it would be nice if it was perfect. My girlfriend took the Club Sandwich which was too dry, it seemed to have been left in the warmer for too long. Despite these shortcomings, it was good and we recommend this place.

We have dinner and lunch. First of all, the dinner was very good. The young waiter was very attentive and very kind. The scallops were well garnished, shrimp and scallops were well seasoned. Onion soup just ok big sprig of thyme and it looks like pudding! The lunch was disgusting and even more so the service I dont recommend at all the old waitress seemed super stupid. Dont have lunch at the hotel, its horrible. 1 hour 30 minutes in total waiting time.

The servers are very nice, especially Stéphane and his son William. The overall service is excellent and the place offers a good disconnection from daily life. The tropical plants and fish are very minions and the shows are very interesting. The singer Rémy Langlois is a very good singer and imitator and he comes back often!! I give this place a 10/10!!

I stayed at this hotel and I didnt have too many expectations but I was really happy with my experience here. The service is human, respectful and very friendly. I had the chance to know 3 wonderful people: the waiters Stéphane and his son William as well as the singer/impersonator Rémy Langlois. Rémy often performs here and he is a wonderful singer in addition to being a very good person. The food pleasantly surprised me, the lunches and dinners were excellent. My daughter really liked the general tao and the brunch. She also enjoyed watching the fish swim and the pool. I give this place a 10/10. We were staying at the Quebec Inn and decided to try the hotel restaurant. We didnt have too many expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. The menu is tempting and the food delicious. We opted for the grilled beef filet mignon with vegetables, fries and pepper sauce. The portions were generous, the vegetables fresh and crunchy, the fries perfect, the sauce correct and the meat tender and tasty. Plus, everything was served really hot! We were amazed at the excellent temperature of the food. The only downside is the cooking of the meat which would have benefited from a minute or two more on the grill for medium cooking, as we requested. But we didnt return our plate for that. We didnt have a starter or dessert, not because we werent interested in anything but because our appetite told us to just have a main meal. We were very well received and served, no complaints about the service. Additionally, we were given a table that gave us a view of the musical show. Our dinner at Les Palmes restaurant was a very pleasant discovery and we will definitely return there during our next stay in Quebec.

I have no other word than wow . Ah yes, little comment, bring back the lunch buffet! This is the most beautiful restaurant I have eaten in. And what can we say about the charming young man! Every aspect of my palm experience was a success. What a great start to the vacation!

Excellent service, excellent food and exceptional value for money. I am demanding in restaurants and Les Palmes met all my expectations and more. Great suggestion from C Bordeaux for a seriously solid red wine from Chile. Service A-1, the Cadillac, with Hafid. The new chef Alexandre knows his stuff. Our dishes were delicious. High recommendations for parmesan fondue and fondant brie starters. Served with salad, generous portion and tasty. Beef flank steak cooked as requested and beef pasta with extra gratin and mushrooms. Seasoned to the mark, not too much, just enough. In the end, unbeatable value for money and we will definitely return. Thank you all for this great experience that would make many restaurants green with envy.

Service, price Atmosphere An exceptionally beautiful place, a smell of chlorine (or bromine) due to the presence of a swimming pool in the dining room and very affordable food. We arrived and the place was empty. As the restaurant is part of the hotel, it may not be well known to the outside world. The room was huge, dark and smelled like a swimming pool. The service was super good, but we were alone, so thats it. The food was affordable and good, but I felt like the quality of the ingredients wasnt there. I felt like it was all in the preparation. There were 14 of us. Almost everyone liked the place, the food and the atmosphere. An hour after we arrived there were a few more people, including screaming children in the pool. Who thought of that? I have the impression that the restaurant wants to give an atmosphere of dining in a resort in the south, but it doesnt really work.

We have experienced better in the past, last year we were treated to impeccable and courteous service, food too. On the other hand, we went back there last night and the food was just ok, almost disappointing I would even say for the price and very cold service. For breakfast this morning, very disappointing lunch, cold pancakes difficult to cut so stiff and very slow and very cold service. Next time we stay at the hotel we will go out for meals.

Dinner: our super professional waitress. Food: seafood pizza!! 85% large, roughly cut pieces of pollock...half of the crust not cooked at all... Lunch: We asked for room service...I had to call twice...3 errors in our order we had 3 dishes...Really I can understand the shortage etc but in total $150 for 2 meals more than ordinary... Be careful when paying the bill there are errors on the tip suggestion. It calculates on the amount after taxes...

I ate on February 20 in the evening, very courteous staff, kind and attentive and made suggestions. Our WoW server nothing to say. Clean place, very welcoming, very interesting value for money, hot and good food, acceptable waiting time, magical decoration and make you dream . I recommend this place, come see them if you come to Quebec you wont regret it. Restaurant is located inside the hotel ** this can be confusing otherwise nothing to say.

Very very disappointing lunch. Order brunch plate this morning. Received the eggs with the white and yolk not cooked when I asked to turn them out well cooked. Fairly cold plate and cold coffee. No jam. When we try to call the restaurant to let them know, we always get the answering machine. I had lunch and dinner there and this morning after paying I noticed that the tip that I told Madame to put and so she put it herself is different I said 18% and she put more by 20%

Quite disappointed with our visit to the Les Palmes restaurant. After a return to more or less normal, we were happy to reconnect with this restaurant that we liked, but we were frankly disappointed. The first thing the waitress told us when we arrived was that we had to order before 11:15 a.m. (arrived at 11 a.m.). A lunch menu that ends at 11:15 a.m. on a Sunday? My partner and a friend had eggs benedict with ham and asparagus and cheese. And the waitress clarified that they wanted meat in it, that was the one to have (there were two kinds, the other without meat). Well, no ham. My partner asked for the well-toasted English muffins, and well come back. Our friend has not finished his plate when the waitress already brings the bill. He told her that he would have taken an order of toast , but she replied that it was not possible, because it was the change of number for dinner and everything was closed. Hey, its Sunday and you have a lunch menu! In short, we wont be going back there anytime soon. There are many other places in Quebec for a good lunch.

Honestly one of the best meals Ive ever eaten!! I had the braised beef cheek, a meat that fell apart with a fork, and so succulent in the mouth!! My partner had a fillet of walleye, wow! Im thinking of going back tomorrow and having the same thing, it was so good! Hats off to the chef!

Its like going south without having to take a plane. However, the lunch menu has taken a hit. The menu is really limited. I remember there was a buffet, even a gentleman who made crepes. Its changed a lot, too much for my taste. But the prices are good. However, the base is not generous. It seems like everything is counted. I would have preferred to pay more and eat my fill. I love having lunch at your place. However, it is part of the Jaro Hotels. I dont understand. I myself work in the tourism sector and the hotels are full. Theres no real reason to do this. Besides, I have to go see the waiter. Since he never looks in your direction. He looks at the floor. I dont understand what is going on with this company. It could be a really nice dining experience. You will lose customers, revenue, etc. I strongly suggest you review your finances and concepts.

We had a filet mignon and a trout tartare; for dessert a maple cake (February 2021) covid obliges, we had our meal in our room, on the balcony overlooking the interior garden of the hotel. Very disappointed with our visit. We got up this morning wanting to eat a good buffet lunch with the family. Near the house, Google told us about Les Palmes, which we didnt know about and which promised us a tropical atmosphere. With two children aged 3 and 6, it seemed perfect. So I called to see if they had a buffet and was told, Yes, we have a great Sunday buffet on Sunday as well as the regular buffet. So we went there. When we arrived at 8:45 a.m., we were informed that the Sunday buffet was only available from 10:00 a.m. The normal buffet is in another room. In the end, instead of eating a Sunday buffet in a tropical atmosphere, we had to settle for a business buffet in a cafeteria atmosphere. The buffet in question was very ordinary, both in terms of choice and taste. To add to the experience, my partner kindly indicated at the start of the meal that the cereals (in individual serving boxes) were expired. In addition to hearing the waitress mutter only two months as she left, we were able to see, when we left 1 hour later, that no follow-up had been done and that other expired boxes were still available for customers . Finally, as I drink decaf (cardiac arrhythmia), when it was time to ask for a stove, I was informed that it would be charged to me. I honestly have never seen this. Besides that, note that our server was very friendly and that the little ones didnt notice the difference. But we will not return and do not recommend it.

We had brunch at 10 a.m. on a Sunday with a child and seriously it was impeccable, both the food and the service. Truly the best brunch buffet Ive been to.

Not a bad place. Located a little far from my house and only route 93 of the RTC passes through there. The food was still excellent.

With all the choice of good restaurants that we have in Quebec, a friend had to, to celebrate his lovers birthday, choose Les Palmes... The service ok, the place ok but the food... Absolutely disappointing! We chose the flank steak, ridiculously small portion, not cooked as requested, no taste served with small julienned carrots and 2 balls of not good mashed potatoes. For the presentation we would have thought we were in the hospital. $125 for 2 including a bottle of wine.
