We made a reservation for 7 of which 3 were children. The atmosphere was calm and the service was fantastic. Our server, Robert, took great care of us and provided excellent recommendations for wine pairings with our dinner entrées. Listen to his recommendations you will not regret it! He was very knowledgeable about the entire menu, provided more information about his favorite dishes, and has a delightful personality. We will be back for sure when we visit Québec again!
Being an individual who doesn’t venture away from traditional options I was amazed with the quality of food and service. Our party was 7, 3 of which were kids. We had a wide variety of meats. Elk, venison, bison and walleye. Everything was expertly prepared, was well portioned and seasoned. Any venison I have had in the past have been tough and gamey and our meals were nothing like that. Our server Robert was great! Very personable and well versed in the menu, offering the perfect recommendations. He also suggested some great new wines and strongly encouraged the maple pie and boy were we happy he did! Smooth, creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness, which was the best way to end our meal. We will be heck on our next visit to Quebec!
Eleven years ago in 2013, Sagamité was a nondescript neighborhood diner. We were tourists in Québec and we just had our first taste of "wapiti" (elk) meat from their kitchen. It was served as burgers. Back in Québec this time (2024), we tried to revisit some sites/sights. After a trip to the Wendat Museum, we tried to look for Sagamité. Lo and behold! We were greeted by an obviously revamped restaurant. Looking more upscale than ever, even the menu has changed. No more wapiti burgers! Instead, they have their meats and other dishes plated and served quite beautifully! They really did a remarkable number on that corner diner! The interior of this new Sagamité was really nice, airy, clean, and it "spoke" to us (customers) about the great Wendat culture. Surprisingly, our server, the affable "Robert," revealed that he had already been with Sagamité when we first dined there all those years ago. He and the establishment had obviously carried so much history together. The service was wonderful, and the food was excellent. If we ever go back to Québec a third time, Sagamité would definitely be on our must-do list again. It in itself was an exceptional experience. As an added bonus, after our hearty meal, we were able to revisit Kabir-Kouba Falls, which, as Robert said, was almost literally a stone's throw away from the parking lot of the restaurant.//
While visiting Quebec City on a culinary tour, we went to Sagamite for dinner in a Wednesday night. This place is a 10/10. Best restaurant we ate at in 5 days. Visiting this restaurant is a must as is the Wendake Museum and the Light show! I look forward to returning. Thank you to our lovely waiter who took such great care of us.
My wife and I went there last night. They were very nice and accommodating on arrival. we each ordered wine and soup, to start. I had the Sagamite soup which was good. My wife had the onion soup, which was good, but nothing special. We did have onion soup on two other occasions on this trip, in Old City which were outstanding and this one was just pretty good compared. My wife had shrimp that came in a sauce that was a bit too sweet, for her, but that does not mean anything other than it was a little sweet for her taste, but the shrimp were excellent. The menu had some good selections and after discussing the options with the waiter, I chose the Bison short ribs. The options I discussed were the Bison short ribs, the Elk flank steak and deer and elk medallions.- When my meal came to the table, I had a flank steak delivered. I thought maybe they cut the bison into a steak cut, so I tasted it and it was not bison. It was a good steak, but very mild for bison (at least bison steaks I have had). I mentioned to the gentleman that delivered the dish that I ordered the short ribs and he looked very confused and took the plate back. The waiter then cam back with the plate and said that this is the correct order and that is what I ordered. He was a bit aggressive in his approach and that almost forced me to respond, but I stopped myself, as I did not want to make a scene and be "that guy". My wife and I told him that we were pretty sure I ordered the short ribs and he said that I said that I wanted the bison. I pointed out that the flank steak was elk and he said that they used bison today. Interesting that if I had just said I want bison, the only bison on the menu were the short ribs, the flank steak said it was elk. Not sure if they get charged back for mistake orders/returns. I decided to accept it, as it was pretty good, nut nothing really special in taste. Not the smoked and tender ribs we discussed. Anyway, trying to be as fair as possible on the quality, the soups were good, but nothing special in flavor. The shrimp were very well cooked and very good. The steak was a good piece of meat, but nothing special in flavor or preparation. He tried to give me an extra glass of wine for free, which I appreciated, but declined ( i already had 1 and was driving). He then brought out a slice of maple pie. Again appreciated, but not necessary. I guess very good for maple pie, but not a choice we would go to again.
Food was hit or miss. We ordered the five course meal with three meats, duck nachos smashed potatoes poutine, chicken wing appetizer, and the poke bowl. The meats were cold. The smashed potato poutine was good and the Sagamité was incredible. Did not care for the soup of the day (a zucchini cream). Loved the bread. The duck poke was not good at all. Server was over-worked but we as amazing. Restaurant is attractive and clean with lots of open space and natural light. However, be careful: my son’s water glass broke in his mouth as he was drinking and he ended up with broken glass in his mouth—very dangerous.
One of the best meals of our trip! Our server was fantastic, we came in on a rainy day and was welcomed, sat, served and conversed with the same gentleman as there was only one other table. I didn’t catch his name, but he was a delight and made great menu suggestions. The elk was wonderful and tender. The duck pizza was delicious. The crust was airy and crispy and chewy - so good. Prices and selection are better than in old town as well!
Indigenous flavors shine at this newly reopened restaurant in Wendake. After a 5+ year hiatus following a fire, the establishment has made a triumphant return, delighting locals and visitors alike with its exquisite menu. The highlight of the experience is the diverse selection of dishes showcasing traditional ingredients like elk, deer, and bison. The moment you step in, the warm and inviting ambiance greets you, setting the tone for an unforgettable culinary journey. The waitstaff's knowledge of the indigenous cuisine is evident as they guide you through the menu with passion and expertise. The star of the show is undoubtedly the trio of elk, deer, and bison dishes. Each offering is a tribute to the rich heritage of the local indigenous community, with flavors that are both comforting and adventurous. The meats are cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, showcasing the chef's skill in handling these unique ingredients. Beyond the game meats, the menu boasts an array of options, allowing diners to explore a wide range of flavors and textures. There's something for every palate. And let's not forget the delectable desserts that provide a sweet ending to the meal. The dedication of the restaurant's team to preserving and sharing culinary traditions is truly commendable. It's evident that every dish is crafted with care and respect for the ingredients' origins. In a community where traditional flavors hold immense significance, this restaurant manages to capture the essence of indigenous cuisine while adding a contemporary touch. The return of this establishment is a culinary gift to Wendake, and its delectable offerings are a testament to the power of preserving food culture even in the face of challenges. Worth a return visit.
Excellent atmosphere, service and food
The best place to discover Huron gastronomy. The gallows is an incredible dining experience. The servers are kind and welcoming. IMPORTANT remember to reserve your table Vegetarian options: No its a game restaurant Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu for Papuans Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, however, remember to indicate this when booking in order to have a table with space.
We were well advised and served by our server Robert. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. We had the table d hôte and our favorite dish was the game sausage. Wheelchair accessibility: By parking downstairs, there is an elevator that takes us to the restaurant floor.
Sugar pie is good in tbnk
Excellent service from our server Robert, we followed his advice and we were not disappointed. Quality of the menu and food. Beautiful dining experience and great atmosphere. Beautiful evening in every way. Great discovery.
Superb place, excellent food and absolutely perfect atmosphere. We will definitely return.
Superb place in Wendake to eat good quality food, good service and atmosphere
This was my second time since opening, and unfortunately once again a disappointment. The first time it was not yet ready given the opening (it was also for our 10th anniversary), so I said to myself a year and a half later everything must be correct, because before it was my restaurant predilection... but... Im really unlucky, because yes the meals are excellent... but when I had just ordered all my dishes separately ($$$).. I hear the table next to me talking duck breast etc. I dont understand because I hadnt seen that in the menu.... I asked the waitress... ultimately she didnt give us the table dhôte menu saying that there wasnt one when we were arrived (yet we were among the first... and leaving when the restaurant was more crowded... there were several at the reception) so I was greatly disappointed a second time. In addition, the table next door seemed not to know what to choose from the table dhôte menu... even though it looked really good... In short, I dont know if Im going to go back there. .because I admit that its really sad... I was expecting compensation for the mistake or something... but no. a simple sorry. She could have brought it to us when she realized her mistake.
A wonderful evening with friends enjoying perfect cuisine, fresh and tasty meats. And above all a top class welcome and service from Robert. Thank you all. Your restaurant is unique and you deserve your 5 stars! RECOMMENDED !
Amazing place, food is amazing !!!
I loved the menu and the flavors of the woods. Our server, Robert, was incredible; dedicated, lively and knowledgeable. I recommend, great experience!
An extraordinary evening!!! Excellent food, impeccable service!!! See you soon !!!
First time at La Sagamité de Wendake for breakfast. A varied menu, a succulent meal, EXCELLENT service! We will return soon!
Thank you Robert and Nadine!
Thank you Robert and Nadine for the great service!
A very pleasant discovery of the region and delicious food. Many thanks to our server Robert for his exceptional service.
Delicious homemade products. Excellent Native American food and music
Everything was perfect! Thanks to our very good server Robert! Very good server!
Exceptional service from Dewatha! The food was impeccable and the experience was very pleasant! Tia8ehnk to the whole team and önenh. We will come back!
20/10 always exceptional service from Robert who knows how to adapt so well to the energy of each table
I had an exceptional experience at this restaurant! The service is impeccable, special thanks to Robert! The dishes are colorful and offer a real explosion of flavors! Superb evening!! I recommend!
The table dhôte was excellent, especially for the price. Great dining experience and exceptional service.
Server was very helpful and new his stuff the give us lots of hard options to choose from
Once again a superb experience.
Great waitresses!!! Nadine and Mélissa were truly incredible
Incredible cuisine, and exceptional, personalized service.
Excellent! And Robertos service is more than friendly, 100% recommended.
Thanks to our waitress Melissa for her excellent service and contagious good humor!
Thank you Robert!!! Impeccable and very personalized service
Good food but although we had reserved we were not able to eat in the planned room but on the 1st floor in a noisy overflow room. In addition we had to wait more than 20 minutes before being seated. Disappointing experience. Too bad this restaurant faces overbooking.
Delicious food and great service
Perfect mix between historic First Nations atmosphere and modern chic. The prices are high, but are offset by the customer experience. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or simply a nice evening with family. The service is deliberately slow to allow customers to enjoy the moment. If youre in a hurry, its better to go somewhere else, but you should definitely take the time to go there at least once in your life!
Roberto was great. Cool experience. Recommended.
We had an extraordinary culinary experience. The waiter explained the menu to us, made excellent recommendations and suggested a good wine. What more could you ask for?
Excellent service, good advice and passionate. Game and accompaniments to match. Everything was delicious.
I would start by saying that after reading the negative comments and having eaten there, I had the impression of having been in a completely different place than those who gave 1 or 2 stars. Starting off the server was ON-THE-CHECK. Super friendly, took care of us the minute we arrived, explaining the menu in detail, giving us advice according to our tastes. It was hard to make a choice for each of us, everything was tempting. (my choice was the soup as a starter, the buffalo rib as a main and maple pie as a dessert) From starter to dessert, we enjoyed ourselves. Our stomachs are full and I, who is a big eater, asked for more would have been gluttony. We didnt break the bank, had a lot of fun and everything was delicious. A big 10/10 I recommend!
Very nice evening with a dynamic waiter who knows his menu inside and out. He corrected my choice of wine and he was right to do so. The quality of the food is very good. Try the maple syrup pie, a real must.
Everything was perfect! Atmosphere, service, food. A great evening with the family! THANKS :)
What an unforgettable experience! We went on a Saturday evening without a reservation and despite the restaurant being packed with people, the team gave us a wonderful evening. The dishes were delicious and the atmosphere was super warm. Thanks to our waitress, Dolorès and we look forward to returning!
Superb atmosphere! Warm welcome and amazing food! Thank you Nadine for the great experience! Delicious!
Beautiful place, I went there on a Monday around 6 p.m. and I felt like I had the restaurant to myself! Children are also welcome, which makes it all family-friendly.
Great service by Robert Excellent quality food
Amazing food, Robert gave us wonderful service
One word: extraordinary!!! From the welcome to the detailed explanations of the menu to the service and of course the quality of the presentation of the meal which was succulent. First and certainly not the last experience of this exceptional restaurant. Exceptional mention to the chef and his team for his attention regarding a gluten allergy (celiac) and for Robert, our server who made sure that EVERYTHING was magnificent. Thank you, I recommend without any hesitation!
Excellent service and an excellent dinner! Dietary restrictions: Great options for those with gluten/Celiac restrictions
A very welcoming environment . Robert received us with a beautiful smile and in a super cordial manner . The beef was incredible; we ordered a complete 5-course experience menu , and everything went very well. The only downside is the price: for a dinner for three people, almost $400 with taxes and tip included, and without alcoholic drinks.
Great service and its incredibly delicious
Excellent cuisine, delicious as can be. Very good service. Warm, chic atmosphere combining modern and traditional. A wonderful experience to repeat!
Professional and personalized service. Motivated staff, delicious cuisine, warm atmosphere! Thank you Robert for your good service
Delicious!! Robert is quite the server!
Great experience and incredible service!! The food is excellent!
Expensive but the quality is there.
The quality of service has always been impeccable regardless of the waiter or waitress at Wendake. The food was excellent. I have a special mention for Robert who gave us a perfect experience Monday evening. This is the second time I have been served by him and he is perfect!
Amazing service and great food
The service and food was excellent!! I highly recommend this restaurant
Original food, well prepared and presented. Nice balance of traditional dishes and accessible options for less adventurous palates. Attentive and friendly service.
Excellent dinner the taste is incredible but the quantities very small for the price came out with a bill of $230 for two with only the 4 plates you see in the photos (+2 glasses of sangria)
We were a group. Beautiful, intimate room. Joyful and courteous service from Robert. The food was good. THANKS
Let yourself be guided to live a great culinary experience and fully enjoy the Wendat culture. Special thanks to Nadine and Robert, we loved your welcome!
We went to dinner this Sunday to celebrate my birthday and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was good, the employees too. Thanks to Laurence our waitress who gave us good service. Good wine suggestion from the manager :) We had the 5 course meal with the 3 meat gallows and wow what an experience, everything was delicious.
Beautiful evening with an excellent meal, thanks to Robert for the excellent service
An excellent place discovered last evening. A beautiful space arranged in an original First Nations style. A c factory based on hunting and fishing products. I loved the Smoked Bison Ribbs and then the exceptional pie recommended by the server. We appreciated his service, which was done with kindness and attention to us. What a pleasure this place is.
Thank you Robert for the excellent service!
I loved my visit. Beautiful atmosphere, our server Robert was funny, friendly and gave good advice. Beautiful menu with tasty local dishes. I highly recommend it.
Thank you Robert for your wonderful welcome. We enjoyed ourselves. The meal is excellent, very delicate, and the Innu music is really pleasant and contributes to this beautiful atmosphere.
The soup, the traditional dish, the dessert, the welcome, the Innu music and Roberts service, everything contributes to a very pleasant and above all authentic evening!! To discover very quickly in Wendake
Very nice place, pleasant space to chat, impeccable service.
Totally genial!!! Everything perfect and many thanks to Robert who was amazing!! Muchas gracias !!!
Its all there!!! The decor, the food and the service. I recommend the Yatista menu. The Sagamité soup and the meats cooked on a gallows with its sauces and accompaniments are truly excellent. Our server Robert recommended a tasty wine and aperitifs and passed on his passion for this exceptional cuisine.
This place is magical, bright, inspired and inspiring. The food is good and offers some great adventures. A must-see in Wendake and the Quebec region!
Well, being someone who is very picky about restaurants, I fell in love with this restaurant. As much the atmosphere as the food, as well as the evening service from Mrs. Meredith (If Im not mistaken). Walleye fillet and Bison Ribs A1 When I left I was already looking forward to coming back. THANKS!
Absolutely delicious and impeccable service with our very kind waitress Mélissa. And Robert is an excellent wine advisor! A great experience, to be repeated one day! We were 8 adults and all of the same opinion!
Excellent service!
Simply excellent in every aspect. The impeccable service, special mention to Robert who served me and my friend all evening. Delicious and refined food that pleases everyone. A very good address that I recommend to everyone.
Super good meal, prepared with care. Very good service, nice atmosphere! Parking: Parking next to the restaurant and a second one a little further away. Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator
Everything was perfect!
We arrived there for a table of 10 with 3 children, the service was excellent, plus we were lucky to be far from the other customers. Our children were able to move a little without getting in the way! For the dishes it was generous and very typical!
We were at a nice table with children, and had a great time, the meal was excellent, the welcome and the service were top notch. Thanks to the whole team
It was the first time and we will definitely return!
Thanks to Robert for introducing us to his products, the meat is delicious We had an excellent evening, thanks to him too.
Impeccable service and food! Our server was very friendly and the place is beautiful. Prices are reasonable considering the menu and experience offered.
Excellent experience, I recommend! We took the Yatista/gallows specialty. Delicious food and such warm service, thank you Nadine and Robert, I have never had such pleasant service in a restaurant!
The gravlax was smoked salmon, the tartare tasted like nothing, the pizza wasnt cooked, our bills took at least 45 minutes, potance = not so nice. Beautiful view of the cemetery
Horrible I thought I had food poisoning
Thanks Robert!
Extraordinary meal. The service was excellent. Thank you very much Robert.
Great food and thanks to Robert for the jokes and excellent service
Beautiful evening, excellent meal. Very pleasantly appreciated by everyone. Celebrating a birthday, typical activity. Kid-friendliness: Suitable for children.
Worst restaurant experience ever, I dont understand the good reviews at all. Horrible food both in terms of its quality and its preparation. Several guests with food poisoning (undercooked game, burnt on the outside but blue on the inside, one bite is enough). Absolutely outrageous prices for what is served.
Really good place, very good, tasty, worth the price
Always excellent too! A pleasure of discovering varieties of meat and Long Live the Potence
Sagamity the pretentious. I have a hard time thinking that I paid so much for what I received. Value for money - throw that concept out the window. 1- the dining room: industrial-style laminate table - no tablecloth - paper napkin - with Mexican and Hispanic music (think Bamba) when our main dishes are between $40 and $55 $ we expect something else. The menu laminated and bound with coils in the Bureau en gros style, all dilapidated and half held together because it was torn! 2 - the service: our waitress was kind and friendly but no basic training for a restaurant that presents itself as a reference in gastronomy (native or otherwise). I would have been satisfied with the service if I had been in a family restaurant like St-Hubert but if I order a bottle at a certain price I expect that the waitress will be able to open it without breaking the cork and that can someone in the brigade tell me about the wines on the menu (no one was able to direct me or help me with the wine - except to tell me that such a wine was very good) 3- the food: very average. A puffy pastry nothing puffy with too dense meat, the flambéed meat experience served with mayonnaise, spicy mayonnaise which seemed to come out of a store-bought jar and curry mayonaise which looked more like to a mayonnaise / ketchup that you could find at Costco. Were in a restaurant supposed to honor the First Nations... blueberry sauce? Cranberries? Warrior spices? Sages? Spruce? Mushrooms? the price: I would not be writing this rating if the price had been half of what is charged. But this is frankly indecent!!! After ordering the second bottle we realized that it was sold in BC - where the wine came from - 4 TIMES CHEAPER. Im angry that I took my in-laws - who insisted on paying - telling them it was a reference to First Nations cooking. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PRE-CLOSURE EXPERIENCE. I honestly feel like Im being ripped off. Nothing less. I have a more than bitter taste from this experience .
Excellent food, good service, beautiful decor! The gallows a must, a superb experience Kid-friendliness: Very affordable childrens menu
Too long a wait (1h15) for lunch, very good, but too long.
Impeccable service and delicious dishes
The dinner menu offers us a wide range of varied choices. The types of meat are not offered in other restaurants. And coming to dinner is a real experience that you wont get anywhere else. I advise you to try the tea (or herbal tea) that it offers, which is excellent and specialized indigenously Our server Robert made us want to come back so we came back but for lunch this time
Excellent meal, exceptional service, thank you Robert xxx
Robert the candid waiter guided us well in the choice of our dishes. Simply excellent on all levels! Recommended
I loved the dishes and the cocktail at the Sagamité restaurant! The service was excellent and I received great recommendations on what to get. The style and position of the restaurant complete the image of a refined place. I will definitely come back with my friends :)
Many thanks to Robert for this memorable evening!
Just WOW, the place is magnificent, the cuisine extraordinary, thanks to Robert for his suggestions. We had an excellent evening. I dont know if we would have the opportunity to come back since we are there on vacation but I highly recommend that you try this restaurant and trust the servers. Thanks again Robert
I went there for lunch. A little expensive for the Niva sweet and savory plate because not much on the plate. Better luck next time.
What a beautiful evening! We had a table dhôtes this evening, everything was tasty. Another strong point, the service! Wow! Never having to wait or having to help yourself to water or wine, the waiter was always on the lookout, which is very rare these days. We will definitely return! Thanks to the whole team!
The tasty dishes, inspired by First Nations culinary traditions, are accompanied by impeccable service and a warm atmosphere. A great choice for an authentic and enjoyable experience that celebrates indigenous culture.
Very nice restaurant, very good service, a little noisy on the other hand, the music is loud so people speak louder to be heard, we took the table dhôte menu and from starter to dessert was very good, beautiful experience for the first time.
Very good experience! Excellent food, great atmosphere and #1 service. I highly recommend!
The dishes were really delicious.
A beautiful table, good products and a waiter who is very attentive to his customers.
Great service, really nice and good people, the waiters know their menu and the kitchen lives up to expectations
We went there on a Saturday for dinner. We were 2 adults and 2 children the bill was $320. This was our first experience and the menu was not explained to us. The services were served with a huge gap in between. The dishes were placed carelessly on the table. No butter with the bread and no glass of water. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and left at 9:45 p.m. When paying, the waiter placed himself above the interact machine to ensure the amount of the drink and to apply pressure. He got 20%. I noticed that the other guests had not been served in this manner. Perhaps it was because we were with our children. The food is excellent in every way, but unfortunately we wont be returning. There is no shortage of choice in this region. Kid-friendliness: Bad service all round
Super good and the server very friendly
Delicious walleye fish. Don t miss this restaurant, lovely atmosphere and wonderful food.
Excellent service although a bit manipulative to increase the bill. The dishes were good, nothing more. One thing is certain, it was clearly not worth a $260 bill for two.
Very nice restaurant with flavors that are worth the price when you want to treat yourself! For a long time, we wanted to try a restaurant in Wendake after having heard good things about it. So staying a few hours away, we took advantage of our vacation to go there. We are not disappointed! The fairly quick service surprised me and the advice from Robert, the waiter, was perfect!
Excellent food at a proud price. Small portions.
Wow! We took a reservation in the evening, for 4 people, the grandiose dinner (the gallows) was fiery. I wont tell you any more!!!
Good experience good value for money
Parking: Facile à se garer Kid-friendliness: Oui Wheelchair accessibility: Oui
I tried the bison meat, very good, cozy place.
Decor and food is excellent, Roberts service and advice on the menu are excellent. WOAH Experience
We arrived unexpectedly. Fast service and helpful staff. Excellent meal. Too bad were not from the country.
Wonderful place for any type of meal.
I really like Sagamite
WoW excellent evening thank you to all the staff ALSO IN THE COOKING
It was excellent!! Great service!! Robert, our server was perfect!! I will definitely go back!! P.S: I highly recommend the gallows with the 3 meats!!! Yummmmm EVERYTHING was excellent EVERYTHING!!!!
Excellent service by Katy and Robert. Amazing dining experience.
Really good in every way. And the maple pie!!!!! Parking: Large parking lot
Incredible services and meals!!
A memorable evening!! Everything was perfect. Impeccable welcome and service. Delicious and original dishes. You must come and discover this place if you go to Quebec. Thank you to the team for this excellent moment
Return after the major fire.... The restaurant is magnificent, one of all beauties to visit, very large, with a few rooms for groups or more intimate Magnificent decor and atmosphere The service is impeccable and warm, courteous and Kozy Lunch Very very Satisfied, super good and with Generous portions Now that we have found the track again we will come back soon....!! Parking: Easy parking last
Great experience! Excellent welcome and service! The dishes are delicious and fresh. The room is very pretty. I highly recommend this address. We had brunch there a few weeks later and also had dinner during the 2024 Pow Wow. A real treat! To recommend without hesitation.
Good food, good service, nice atmosphere
Became way too expensive for what it is
Great Food as Always !! Great Service !! Great Ambiance !! Great Experience !! Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator
Wow what a great dining experience Everything was perfect WoW Thanks to Christian our great WoW server it ticks
We were served by Robert, a gem of a waiter, professional, who knows his menu. The food is excellent. I recommend 100%. We will return there, for sure.
Always a treat!! The meat is excellent every time and no matter the kind Just a shame for the wait and for having been taken into account after someone else arrived after us for the order. But I will come back anyway
It is unacceptable that this restaurant is not 5 stars. Rare are the times when I give my opinion on a restaurant but, despite it being expensive, you eat like a king there. Everything is super good, remains my favorite restaurant in Quebec before and after the fire.
Christian is a wonderful server, he was able to give us perfect recommendations and we chose these. We are pleasantly surprised by these discoveries, we will definitely come back. The detour is REALLY worth it. My partner had a real culinary orgasm! Vegetarian options: Salad, pasta and pizza Dietary restrictions: Questions were asked about intolerances and allergies. Parking: There is rear parking. Kid-friendliness: There is a childrens menu at $10 & $13. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator.
Gorgeous !
Great service and wow food
Super good and the servers are super Christian. Beautiful personality, very friendly, very attentive.
Before the pandemic it was excellent for lunches, but since the reopening, coffee not great, pancakes reheated and hardened. Bathroom no holder for toilet paper even after more than a year of reopening.
Very beautiful restaurant in Wendake in the image of the Huron nation. Its reconstruction is not completely finished, the terrace remains to be done, Delicious meal. Average to high price. Go see the Kabir Kouba Falls next door.
It s a mess when you have dietary restrictions and the cook isn t even capable of making an omelette with egg whites and vegetables, it s still 2024 . We came to celebrate my mothers birthday with mimosas I left without eating It really changes...
- nice restaurant - pocket salad - correct meat - overly seasoned treat - delicious dessert - 252$ really too expensive
Impeccable service. Excellent food. THANKS !
Delicious
My only disappointment, in this setting steeped in magnificent Wendat culture, the background music is composed of American hits, while there is a variety of music from indigenous nations. I suggest you modify your playlist. The meal was excellent and the service was high quality.
Reservation for Fathers Day, bad service, the waitress took the order 1 hour after our arrival. We order an espresso, not available (the machine is not yet installed, we can read in the reviews that it has been going on for at least 9 months), we ask for a hot chocolate, there is no more then yesterday answers us the waitress. Afterwards she arrives with a hot chocolate made with hot water and powder (rather ordinary for the price on the menu). We had a baby under 1 year old, after 1h30 of waiting without news of the order (more than 30 minutes after the order) we decided to leave. First and last time.
We really like Wendake. We have always been well received. This restaurant is in the same vein. Its beautiful, the food is good and the service is good. Thank you for your kindness.
First time for lunch. The place is easy to access with free parking. For the decor 10/10 The atmosphere 2/10 The service 7/10 our waitress is very nice but the waiting time to receive our dishes was long for the few people who were in the restaurant. The taste of the meal 7/10 was good but nothing more. At the price of the plates I was expecting a WOW but that was not the case. Overall for the experience in general, value for money I would give it a 6.5/10.
Total disappointment, the worst value for money... for a few small pieces of game it costs $130, a small piece of cold candied foie gras for $29, plus taxes... two people at $260 and we didnt even have We didnt eat enough, for a gourmet restaurant the taste is lousy, I can cook better at home, I dont see the point in going to a restaurant... Good only positive point is the soft atmosphere, but for this price? Avoid 100%
I had very good memories of this restaurant and was very excited to return. The decoration and atmosphere are not bad. The food is interesting but... If it had cost $100 all inclusive for 2 I would have said it was excellent. The quantity was insufficient. Average quality (we are talking about cubes of cooked meat, one of which is in greater quantity than the others of lower quality). We took starters, expensive and really much too small. A mouthful of foie gras for $29 is no good, sorry. From memory there was no tax last time, the waitress was not aware. $260 to leave disappointed and hungry... In short, I absolutely do not recommend.
The food is delicious and the service is excellent!
Very nice experience! Both the service and the food. Rarely had a beautiful, comprehensive experience like this.
I love this restaurant but I didnt have good service this Sunday. I understand its Mothers Day, but I arrived around 1:15 p.m. and brunch was served at 2:40 p.m. The childrens food was wrong and so we created the situation where the adults ate while the children waited a little longer. It was not a pleasant day for the mother. The wrong food was removed from the table which also caused frustration for the children. Ultimately the food was delicious.
We were a group of 6 for Mothers Day brunch and the experience was very disappointing. I understand the issue of lack of staff, really, but we have to adjust accordingly... Not the fault of the staff who were in themselves adequate and polite, but booking and arriving for noon, seated at 12:30, orders taken at 1:00 p.m. and food received at 1:50 p.m.... Its not acceptable. Also, the price of the food is really not appropriate. $24 for their Sagamité specialty plate and I left still hungry, quality-wise it was OK, but comparable to Cora more than a gourmet restaurant so really not the expected level. I had come several years ago before the sad fire and I was impressed. Today, the restaurant is beautiful but the rest... Unfortunately, move on.
First time I was going to eat there and Im going to go back there for sure, excellent food, ambience it was excellent
We were there this evening for my husbands party. Thank you Christian for the excellent service and personalized attention. The atmosphere was conducive to having great philosophical discussions with our teenagers, to reinventing the world, while having fun. Game, fish, terrines everything was succulent. A superb evening.
What a magnificent place. Excellent food. We took the Yatista of the three plumes. Incredible smoked trout starter.
I wish the portions were bigger on our plates
Disappointing for Easter lunch when they dont offer anything other than filter coffee because they didnt receive the hot chocolate and espresso machine. Small portions: the scrambled egg seemed like half. Flavors ok nothing wow on our plates. No option to remove the mushrooms, too much in the juice. Great service.
I had high expectations for this establishment which positions itself as a gourmet restaurant. I must say that the rooms are beautiful and the food is up to par. The disappointments tend to be found on the sidelines. Literally 5 minutes of waiting at the door before someone came to see us and seat us. Once seated, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Finally, another 30 min for the food to arrive . Also, the state of the bathrooms was deplorable. Roll of toilet paper on the floor, broken door, no hooks for your clothes... in short, a lack of attention to detail For a meal costing almost $100 per person, I find the extras not up to par and which reduce the overall experience. Damage.
Very nice site, I cant wait for the work to be finished
We had not been able to return there since the fire. The decor has been modernized and is magnificent. We found the atmosphere more pleasant than before by the arrangement of the tables. We had outstanding service from our server Christian. He is professional, courteous, polite and fun. As for the food, the 5 courses were delicious, generous and well presented. The only downside that we mentioned to the waiter is that the salad for the starter choice is the same as on the first plate served. Otherwise everything was perfect. Kid-friendliness: There is a nice menu for children
A wonderful place to share with company, situated right near the chute Kabir kouba after a delicious meal a great place to relax and get some exercise
An excellent restaurant with a beautiful cozy atmosphere, a very good table and welcoming staff, I recommend it Parking: Parking behind the restaurant
We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant! We obviously tried the Yatista, and I can say that it is one of the best gastronomic experiences I have had in my life! the sauces were excellent! However, the side dish could be better in my opinion, but it didnt have too much of an impact on our experience! The service was very good! Well come back! THANKS
Very good food!
We really liked our Yatista experience, with the gallows of meat flambéed with brandy. To try! The atmosphere could benefit from being improved: perhaps more typical music and more subdued lighting.
Very good service and excellent food and very affordable price I recommend
The best restaurant in the world
