Great discovery! We ate at the bar, which we like, and the atmosphere was perfect. The bartender was super friendly. The food and cocktails were delicious. I recommend 100%!

We went to Tumi last week and were not impressed with our experience. In terms of quality/taste of the food, we have nothing to complain about, it was excellent. On the other hand, as for the service, it was really bad. It had been 15 minutes since we arrived and no one had come to see us, apart from the person who placed us. No one came to our table, we had to go to the bar to order to get drinks each time, and in the end we spent the last half hour without anything to drink and without anyone asking us. However, there were staff and a good number of them. This is the first time in my life that I have put a negative comment on Google for bad service, but here we found it necessary to share it. Finally at checkout there seemed to be only one machine to pay, it took a long time to eventually exit due to bill payment. In terms of attitude, the people who served us did it with a smile and were not inadequate, but they simply did not take the trouble to take care of us at all, while we were super calm and respectful like customers.

Everything was absolutely perfect! I went there with my boyfriend and we were able to taste various dishes from the menu, each one as delicious as the last. Both the dishes and the drinks appealed to us. And what about the service! Maria at the bar/service was attentive while Mike in the kitchen took the time to come and talk with us! I recommend without reservation!

I had been before and loved it. I really couldnt wait to go back to have a completely different experience. The menu had changed (thats not a big deal), but we also had a long wait before being served (1 hour) and between the 2 services as well. The servers did not have assigned tables so the service was vague but they were courteous. We took the sharing menu for $55 but to our great surprise, this price was per person and nothing indicated this to us and the staff never clarified either when explaining the menu. The meal was good but overall we really didnt eat for $55 each and that would be good to clarify because we would have ordered something else. Vegetarian options: Yes

Woow Woow Woow, we fell in love with this little restaurant which doesnt look like much, but only from the outside. We had the discovery menu and each course was incredible. The dishes are visually successful and so tasty. In addition, the staff is ultra friendly and the presentation of the dishes makes your mouth water. In short, a big favorite for meals that are out of the ordinary.

We took the discovery menu!! Prepared by chef Alexandre Beaulieu. It offers you a 5 or 6 course. The chef finds out about your preferences and comes to present each service to you as if you were on the show Les Chefs!!! All the dishes are an explosion of flavors, its very tasty and its a very good culinary experience. Take care not to have eaten too much before!!! Also try Chef Alexandres latest creation, his famous Tiradito. You will not regret the visit!!!

Nice little restaurant, the service is impeccable. Ultra welcoming staff who explain the menu at length and it really makes you want to taste everything. We were lucky enough to be offered a dish to taste. The dishes as well as the drinks are excellent, nothing to complain about. I find the prices a little expensive all the same but the quality and taste are there! And it s nice to taste things typical of a country. Very original dishes too!

Saturday May 27, on the evening of the first anniversary of the opening, we were completely left behind. We did not have our dishes after 2.5 hours of waiting. One of our guests received steak and fries NOT fries. The portion was paltry. There was no way to have any service to try to understand what was going on because all the staff were busy and completely overwhelmed. We still had the honesty to pay the ENTIRE bill, even for the meals that were not delivered. There was an excellent musical atmosphere which allowed us to pass the time. Its a shame for a place that has so many satisfied customers who recommend the place on Google reviews. I hope you can offer me substantial compensation or discount. Best regards, Cynthianne Dubois.

I was surprised by a steak and fries which came with a paltry cube of meat (- 100 grams) meat requested rare but received well cooked for 32 dollars per dish and for a restaurant calling itself gourmet I find it very average, I dont recommend this place.

The food is delicious and tasty, but I expected this restaurant to make me travel more. I would have liked to see a little more typically Peruvian decoration. Same thing for the music which was very loud and which in no way resembled what you hear in Peru. The Pisco sour is delicious, but the price is very high for a small glass. The servers were friendly, but the wait for the food was quite long. Still a great experience.

We stopped by for lunch and had a great meal here! The food is extremely pretty, with loads of fresh colours and flavours. And the house lager (also slightly spiced) pairs perfectly with it. Super friendly staff too.

Very disappointed. I mentioned being intolerant to onions when ordering by specifying any type of onion. One of my dishes arrived sprinkled with shallots and the cook was visibly shocked that I returned my dish. Another of my dishes contained pieces of onion, obviously the onion had been removed afterwards and some pieces were left behind. I was sick all night, bad stomach cramps, nausea. I wrote privately to the restaurant to warn them and tell them that this is not the type of thing to take lightly. I didnt get any excuses, I was told that the owners would get back to me on this and it will be two weeks. What horrible customer concern, it deserves to be known. I have never felt so disrespected by an establishment, it s a shame. Dietary restrictions: Dont go there with dietary restrictions...

A little too salty

The food and the pico sour are at a competitive level. On the other hand, the service, except when Dely is in charge, is long, no suggestions and I had to wait 25 minutes for croutons for my tartare for which I was charged $3.50.....J I spoke about my dissatisfaction politely and constructively to the manager and/or boss. He listened, thanked me and..... took no action to enhance the rest of the meal. We would have had other drinks, but no one there and no dessert or digestive offered. Unfortunately, after 2 visits, with the same server, I will no longer set foot there. What a shame

REALLY WOW!!! We had a wonderful evening at Chez Tumi. The dishes were delicious and the presentation superb. We went on a quiet Sunday evening, the chef and our waiter Vincent took the trouble to adjust the dishes according to our tastes, wow (we are not fans of coriander...)!! In addition to having taken the trouble to add lots of little touches throughout the meal. Honest and human service. I recommend the discovery package, which we loved, we were full by the time we had dessert, but we still ate it all. We discovered this thanks to an antidote coupon and we will definitely return! Not having been to Peru I cannot judge how authentic the food is. But. The owners are a family who care about the customers - I sat beside their son who ate the same dish I ordered. The chefs made fresh food that had taste. Ceviche was on point and potato tapas better than Arancini outside calabria. Real star was bartender who made cocktails from seasonal ingredients. Closest to dead rabbit nyc in Canada. If you want fresh beer go to a brew pub. Here you get food and drink like family.

Its supposed to be a typical Peruvian culinary experience but its Pierre-Jean Jacques 19 years old who makes your food in the kitchen and not a so-called Peruvian chef... food arrives cold, the water is lukewarm and served without ice, meat too much cooked and the rice Im not sure its instant rice at maxi..without flavor or spice... on the service side there are 3 waiters/chillers for 90 people. They often snigger behind while no one is in front. Repulsive music, too loud and screaming. Ive been twice, never again. Horrible experience. The boss is never there to complain. Basically it costs you $35 to eat fries dipped in industrial sauce with 3 or 4 pieces of meat.. Finished for me.

The service was very good. However, they serve small dishes without much flavor and crudely executed. On Friday, its impossible to hear each other talking at the table, the music is way too loud from 7:30 p.m. We were unable to hear even the waiter Quite an unpleasant experience.

Being a proud Peruvian and always excited to be able to discover new Peruvian restaurants in Quebec City, I was very eager to try TUMI. I cant hide my disappointment when I arrived and at first no one spoke Spanish. These are things that happen, but when you expect to live an immersive experience, it breaks the momentum of feeling at home a little. Sure enough, even the head chef I spoke to doesnt speak Spanish or even have ever visited Peru, but feels comfortable cooking supposedly Peruvian gourmet cuisine. We were a group of 7 people and therefore ordered several typical dishes under my recommendation (anticuchos, papa a la huancaina, lomo saltado, etc.). Nothing tasted like Peruvian cuisine, the huancaina potatoes were fried and tasted like fried food. The lomo saltado sauce tasted Asian and ultimately, the anticuchos were overcooked. Perhaps we had a bad evening, but I still believe that, if other Peruvians went to this restaurant, they probably had the same feeling as me. It doesnt taste like Peru, and the price is quite expensive for the quality of the dishes. In short, there are other Peruvian options in Quebec which, in my opinion, are much more on par with the magnificent Peruvian cuisine. Hello!

Incredible food

The food is very good, the combination of flavors is successful. We were treated to a nice selection of tapas by our server. The presentation of the dishes makes our mouths water. The ambiance is relaxed, but the music is a little loud, at least just under the speaker.

The food is super good. The employees are all smiling and seem happy to be there. Our server (Dely?) was really pleasant and good. The portions are also very good for the price.

This restaurant is worthy of five stars, the food is excellent, the service is courteous and relaxed. In short, a lot of potential if it wasnt too loud music. Im not against a more lively, even hectic atmosphere, but the volume was so loud that we couldnt even hear our waiter or the friends sitting at our own table. We left still hungry to avoid the unpleasant atmosphere. We were warned that a singer was going to be present but I think a warning like: youre not going to hear anything all evening would have been more appropriate. Finally, we came out of there with hoarse voices and ears like we were coming out of a concert at the Imperiale. Honestly, Ill go back for the food and the service but thank goodness no singers please.

Peruvian-inspired food. Tasted good, but far from true, authentic flavours. For example, the lomo saltado came in a thick, teriyaki flavoured sauce. Yuca a la huancayena came with a delicious sauce that definitely wasnt huancayena. Friendly staff, good music.

The food is good, the live band music is nice and restaurant is well decorated for a cozy vibe. It s more a north-america fusion restaurant than a peruvian restaurant. Make sure you have a LOT of time, it took us 1h20min to get our main which I believe is way too long especially for such a small size restaurant.

Great experience, great discovery! Were a group to celebrate a birthday, the experience was incredible. As we left we clicked with the staff there. Great service, accommodating to us. The food? Ohhhhh ohhhhh, we loved everything, some dishes to share, main dishes, you can taste typical dishes or more known dishes but with a Peruvian touch. Interesting wine list, beers, cocktails, I recommend the house bloody! When talking with the staff, I was told that on Fridays there are singers. We were there on a Saturday evening and as the birthday girl loves Latin, we had a Cuban DJ singer, the total! We would have thought we were in an all-inclusive. For all the attention, flavors, food presentations, prices and service, it is a well-deserved 5 stars and we will return!
