The gentleman that served me and made my sushi was fantastic! He was super helpful even with my lack of French and his lack of English. He danced while making my sushi, you can tell he is happy at work. It was great service and delicious meal!
Meh! Produst are good, food is good nothing to say here. In my last 10 orders (or so), i had an error / product missing from at least 6-7 of them. To the point of calling back AND going back to the store to get our missing items. Products are replaced each time. Asked to not have a product in our sushi/orders just because we dont like it... well had it in our sushi several times. We do understand short staff and the hard times we all live in. But heh, it sucks.
I was very happy to be able to eat something decent when Quebec closed all inside dinning just in time for our trip back to Ontario. I was dreadfully contempling the possibility of eating convenient store's sandwiches when I saw the Sushi Shop! The two employees were nice and welcoming and the sushis were very fresh and tasty. I am so grateful to those who go to work with a smile while the society crumble around us. Thank you again for being there!
The service was slow and awful 😞 actitud when we asked for the loyalty program. The tempura vegetables were like charcoal, all 🔥 burned. Nothing to do with Yuzu sushi excellent and sushi shop quality 👎

Amazing poke bowls 5 stars for portions and taste. Good sushis too 🍣.downside is some employees aren't the most enthusiastic it's seems working there or dealing with clients. ******Update for bubble tea. The taste of the black sugar tea is good only problem is the tapioca pearls....they were not cooked properly. They were hard and clumped together meaning thay they were not fresh. Tapioca pearls need to be made daily for freshness.*********
Its been a bit long before getting the sushi but cant complain if I dont make it myself. Really good taste but not the best sushi I had. Yuzu taste better I think

On Google it says that the restaurant closes at 9 p.m., the open sign was lit and the chairs were still lowered to eat in the restaurant. I arrive at 8 p.m. to be told that they are no longer taking orders, that its over for the evening. Ordinary 10/10
I placed an order and requested changes which were made. I did not feel any reluctance to my requests, on the contrary. Excellent customer service which has been lacking since ordering online. Thank you, great team today, well done!
If only we could leave 0 stars for a second time in a row we are 1 hour early and no one can place our order!? We are told that it is over for the evening so we are shown the exit.....
You know that putting pollock on a lobster pizza is considered food fraud and punishable by fines if I contact mapaq thats twice youve given me your pass as a restaurateur myself I find that unacceptable

Jappelle pour leur demander si cest normal et on me répond : Bah ouais. On na pas dû les sortir assez tôt... Sérieusement !?! Pas jamais je vais aller là !!
2nd visit January 7 3:20 p.m. No hello when I come in, the employees talk among themselves to say stupid things and shut up, I seemed to disturb the cashier when I asked questions about the bubble tea, in short I left with my bubble tea without knowing exactly whats in it apart from the matcha that I chose and the dr tapioca bubbles, because its obvious. They didnt bother to explain to me what was in it. They just made me pay and then she went on her cell for several minutes until the order was ready. 1st visit Coming at 6:20 p.m. to be told that they are no longer taking orders while they close at 8:00 p.m. Unacceptable. Sushi or not, Ive never seen that in my life. Ordinary.

Great service, possibility to eat on site or bring. They take orders online or by phone. Please book in advance on weekends as there may be a certain delay for orders to be brought.

We were charged extra $ because we wanted to change our jelly for tapioca in our bubble tea. When we were served, the tapioca was not cooked. We returned them saying that they did not have to refill the drinks but simply put back the cooked ones. They returned them to us 3 minutes of cooking later according to the waiter. The outside of the balls were still white and it was grainy so obviously still not cooked. We ended up not eating the tapioca balls and left with the advice for next time to make sure the balls are almost translucent. No apologies from them only a shake of the shoulders... very disappointed for the price it costs. Oh and the taste was barely there. Their syrup is added by eye, no measurement
I love this sushi shop!! My orders are still on the mark. On January 27, I had an order for more than 300 sushis and frankly the chefs choice was sick, they forced themselves to have lots of varieties. A dream dinner party.
Generally good and ready on time. Difficult to reach by phone. You are better off ordering online. We all understand that inflation is high these days. However, prices have drastically exceeded inflation with an increase of more than 25% over the past 6 months. A salmon poke sold for $14.50 in fall 2022. As of this evaluation date, it is sold for $17.95.
Call to have an order prepared, which when it arrives is non-existent . Wait 45 minutes for an order with lots of errors.. Very very very mediocre! Restaurant to avoid at all costs!
Commande pour emporter. Ce nest pas la première fois que je vais à cette endroit et à toutes les fois je laisse une nouvelle chance mais sans succès. Sushis mal roulés, trop de riz, avocat trop mûrs, aucun goût sans saveur. Terminé!! 70$ au poubelle. Cest du gros nimporte quoi. Allez à Donnacona si vous passer par là, de beaucoup meilleur!
Sushi shop Val-Bélair is inconsistent in preparing dishes, unfortunately. This time the rice in our PokeBowls was not crispy, and very cold. Perhaps we gave our order too early, to anticipate the Friday rush hour. But usually there is no problem with that... Yet when well prepared it is excellent! 1 in 3 times the perfect taste is no longer there. Disappointing. We will wait even longer before recommending.
I thought the poke would go back to the way it was before, it was the best before the pandemic still very disappointed, just salad, order error so last time I go to sushi shop sorry you dont deserve to have a restaurant .
The employees welcome us as if they were sick of their job. Arrives at 6:30 p.m. and no longer takes any orders on a Sunday evening from 6:45 p.m. when the restaurant closes at 8 p.m. The kitchen was muddy even though there were no customers.
I called at 1 p.m. for an order at 7 p.m. I arrived at 7:15 p.m. and my order wasnt even ready!

Variable experience... Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes missing or incomplete items (like 2 teriyaki bombs instead of 4) but sometimes without any problem. On the other hand, staff who are always courteous and patient in the face of sometimes problematic situations.
Completely inaccurate sushi making, recipes modified to suit current tastes... very disappointed
good sushi at a fair price but not the place for a culinary experience. I still recommend it for an evening dinner on the side, it does the job really well.

Last orders the avocados were either rotten or not ripe at all. Yuck straight into the trash. Today I order through Skip. I order my order on rice paper and not Nori. I indicate it in 3 places knowing that they forget 9 times out of 10 . I receive my order and not only are there Nori sheets, they replaced the avocados with cucumbers and no tempura I call them, the first employee who says its not their fault (with an obvious lack of motivation) I ask to speak to the manager, no solution, very proud to say that there is no more avocado and to have decided (for me) to add cucumbers . Let s see ..where have we reached?! At the price it costs, can you decide what I want to eat and expect a minimum?! And she has no solution, no compensation or nothing. Skip yes refunds the order but Im worried about the delivery costs and the tip ..
For my part, I showed up 16 minutes in advance. There were two more customers inside the mini restaurant: Sushi Shop. The sign outside hanging on the wall did say: OPEN. We returned empty-handed even though we wanted to have a simple drink. This requires no preparation. The cash register was still open because there were two customers before us. In addition the sign indicated open, the doors were unlocked, as well as I was 16 minutes before closing, that they passed the two other customers but not me even though I asked for only one drink without preparation. In addition to talking stupid to us. I am seriously disappointed. I used to like this place.

Weve been waiting for over half an hour for 2 bubble teas for $10 each!!!! This is my 2nd visit for the same thing and same experience, seriously remove it from your menus its not even good anyway
Honestly 1 hour minimum wait for 6 sushi and 1 bubble tea?! Honestly yuzu was better at doing 12 in 10 minutes and clearly better than yours.... customer service to be solidly improved!

Les prix ont de beaucoup augmentés , tout augmente, cest normal. Par contre ce qui me lest pas, cest de diminuer la qualité et la quantité. Les sushis étaient tranchés tellement mince quil était possible de les soulever sans quils se brisent en mille morceaux. Donc 2x moins de sushis pour le double du prix. On appelle ça crosser ses clients.
Normally I dont like Sushi shop, and besides this one is in Val-Bélair, I wasnt expecting anything. I was surprised by the quality, they were fresh and excellent. No complaints, I ordered in advance and my order was ready on time.

Me and my partner are going for dinner on Valentines Day, the room was empty, he didnt want to serve us, we had to wait until 2:30 a.m., telephone orders had priority and he didnt serve in the room before 8:30 p.m., never seen refusing to serve customers in the room. The room was completely empty and the tables were dirty.
Incredible... I place a telephone order at 5:30 p.m., the girl tells me it will be ready at 7:30 p.m. I arrive 10 minutes early and the restaurant is closed! Never had a call, nothing!
I ordered 1 hour before closing, the Doordash delivery guy was so slow that he arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after closing and my order was canceled. Rather ordinary.

I called to order. After picking them up at the appointed time, I realize at home that the sushi is old with hard rice. Probably a tray that had been lying around in the fridge for a while. No wand. The freshness was not there. Last time Im going.

I ordered by phone and I asked when they would be ready to use it, told me 40 minutes.. I arrived 50 minutes later and they were not ready to use it, told me in 20 minutes.. I came back after 20 minutes and it was still not ready. had to wait an extra 10 minutes, what was it like to tell me it was ready in 2 hours on the phone, it wouldnt have made me waste my time I bought almost $100 worth of sushi and had to pay extra for the 3 spicy mayos.. I went to the Cap Rouge sushi shop before and I never paid for the very disappointed mayo..
Poor service, 30 min longer wait than expected, several errors in the order. We will continue with the Eye of the Dragon in the future.

The food is good, but I always have the impression that the employees are overwhelmed and that makes me feel like Im bothering me.
We have been waiting for our order for 30 minutes at the restaurant, and they had not informed us of the take-out order deadline. They make us pay in advance so we have no choice but to wait... There are 4 employees on site so just 1 was ordering very slowly, while prioritizing going to charge his cell phone!!!!

The sushi was visually horrible. They didnt hold it. Impossible to eat them without a fork. They were disintegrating. The plates contained no sauce, little ginger. I had to buy them separately. I had over $100 worth of sushi... 4 sauces would have been the base. ------ I went back 3 months later hoping it would be different, but it was the same. The sushi didnt hold up.
I gave the Val-Bélair branch several chances and always had disappointment after disappointment. The sushi is good even if the aesthetic side is very average. The sushi doesnt hold together. I had to wait several hours on 4 occasions to get the order of my choice. In the end, there were errors 3 out of 4 times and I had to wait up to 30 additional minutes for them to be corrected without any compensation.

Really disappointed, I was almost uncomfortable with the welcome... Almost sorry to come 1 hour before closing. I come home with my dinner... no sauce, sushi that doesnt hold together and a roll with the rice paper rolling around in my mouth. My boyfriend was allowed fatty popcorn chicken... I wont be able to find it :(
Good sushi but nothing extraordinary. My plate was dirty, my glass of water was lukewarm. The service is correct. And its still expensive when you realize that its not great.

Good sushi for a good price when they are done well. I would say that 50% of the time they offer good service and well-made sushi and the other 50% it is bad service or even sloppy sushi (see photos). (My observation made after 5 visits, 3 at lunch time and 2 at supper time).

When you pay $40 for sushi, you hope to get something good, unfortunately, Sushi Shop Val-Bélair makes me miss the one on Blvd Lorimière, where we always had good sushi. Val Bélair was avoided. .sorry

Marie-Eve Im a fan of sushi shops...but the branch in Val Belair leaves something to be desired when it comes to the quality of their dishes. Often too small and they come undone all the time.. often botched work!!!!!

We showed up at 6 p.m. at the Val-Bélair sushi shop and had to leave because the person at the cash register told us that he was no longer taking orders and that we could only buy the sushi already ready at the counter. There were about ten of us who left at the same time. This Sushi shop lost a hundred dollars in minimum order tonight. We all met at Yuzu who could take our order. I would have put a zero but google doesnt allow it.

Well, things arent going well for the others. Ive been a fan of Sushis Shop for a long time and when I found out that the one in Val-Belair was opening I was happy. For some time the one on Ormiere had been having problems (changing the order without asking us if we agree or missing pieces). And here it is in such a short time after its opening...We order a 40 piece package at the new one in Val-Belair. Call made at 4:00 p.m. for 6:30 p.m. We arrive there at the scheduled time...No one says hello to us for at least 5 minutes. One of the guys takes his time taking off his gloves to text and even goes out to the back to talk to the cell. He comes back and finally calls us to tell us 2 minutes later that our order was not ready and that we would have to help ourselves with sushi from the counter...RIDICULOUS! Gone forever Sushis Shop...disrespect! In addition, you have to put at least one undeserved star to publish....ouffff
