Boulevard Restaurant and Lounge in Red Deer County

Shortened the menu, had the Korean chicken burger very good. Always happy to stay here, they must treat their employees well because for the last 8 years theyve been the same. They always remember me ,even after 7 years, one of the main reasons I stay at this hotel

Great ambiance! This venue had a great 20 s to 40 s crowd and the service was very good. I do wish they would expand their scotch menu

The restaurant was the in-house option at the hotel. Mostly asian-inspired food, the flavours are good and service is very friendly!

The curries are to die for! And the skewers are addicting. Its amazing every time.

Came for a mothers day brunch. No waffles, pancakes or French toast. When we inquired, were told to go to the restaurant and buy some there and bring it back for ourselves! Food was cold, omelet station was good, gentleman was professional.

Our server Melanie was so fun and pleasant. She went above and beyond for us. All the food was amazing and service was fantastic.

My husband & I visited Boulevard for the first time yesterday evening. Our entire experience was great! The food tasted phenomenal & the prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality. We absolutely will return!

There isnt anything on the menu that isnt full of flavor and delicious. Variety of options, including gluten free and vegetarian. Highly recommend checking it out and trying one of their bowls or amazing appetizers

New Years Gala, The buffet was not massive like they advertised. The food was cold and terrible. Very disappointing for the price that we paid. The DJ that they had played music that catered to a few individuals and not to the crowd that was their. That is why a lot of people left right after New Years came. We do not recommend this place and will never go there again. We were a group of 6 people.

We attended the New Years Eve Gala, and it was amazing! The appitizers at the start of the evening were delicious and plentiful! The buffet was top notch! Prime rib with all the fixings, french onion soup, roasted veggies, mac and cheese (that I had seconds of!), Lemon Grass chicken, seafood curry, rice, and one other curry type dish that I had no room for And Im pretty sure Ive missed many more of the items from the buffet. The live band at the beginning of the evening was amazing and had lots of people up dancing. Same with the DJ at the end of the night. We danced and danced! The bartenders and the wait staff were also very friendly and quick! I will be at the next one for sure!

Terrible service and the food took forever. It was an absolute disaster of an experience. I can not recommend enough to stay away from this place.

Questioned waitress when our childrens Grilled Cheese & Fruit meals came out with 3 orange slices that looked like they came from the garnish tray at bar. Was given a lame excuse as about the cheap price of their meals. Was then disappointed when neither child would eat their grilled cheese so i tasted their sandwiches and they had no flavor at all. Our adult meals were ok but not worth the price we paid. We sat at the Table with empty drinks for what seemed like an eternity. This place used to our favorite restaraunt in red deer. Maybe we will try again in a couple years.

Amazing food and service! Had a great anniversary,, very beautiful environment would definitely recommend! The table beside us was very loud, ignorant and rude to our server when they went above and beyond and provided great service! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back!

The best French onion soup

Very odd experience at this location considering the ratings. Im unsure if this is due to when they visited or if these are false reviews. I attended this restaurant twice over the weekend and both times the food took forever. The first time we were there early enough it was a non issue. During that dinner we had 9 ordering food and the waiter did frequently check in. However the second time we came for a late dinner(8pmish) and it turned into a 2 hour ordeal to get 2 chicken burgers. There were 4 other orders at our table for food and from what I could see two other tables in the restaurant. The waitress rarely checked in and when the Manager came over after the first hour she blamed us for not having a reservation. I wasnt aware 6 orders would backup the entire kitchen. The management style did nothing to smooth over the situation and the entire time she seemed annoyed at having people in the restaurant at all. All in all it was terrible experience and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

One of my favourite reasons why I love coming to Boulevard, is the love and care that is put into every recipe and dish. It s not just a meal they are making, it s more than that. If you want somewhere that you want an amazing date night, or go w friends and family please go check out Boulevard. Amazingly fresh ingredients, dishes that make your taste buds scream and honestly the kindest staff. Chef Pete is not only the kindest person I ve ever had the pleasure to meet, but his recipes, dishes, and take on different types of cuisine is amazing! So please go check out this amazing restaurant . I promise you will not be disappointed

Its nice and a bit out of the way, so if you want a little privacy and pleasant surroundings with good food, try it.

When we arrived in Red Deer a friend mentioned how great this restaurant was. We were not disappointed. The menu options were not what you expect at a Holiday Inns restaurant. I personally had the satay beef which was quite delicious and the others at our table thoroughly enjoyed several different entrees. We will be planning to stop here again when were passing through.

I took a group here, surprising delicious food, enjoyable staff and the chef was over the top hospitable. If your in red deer this is the spot.

Went for dinner had there chicken burger. It was really good. Friendly staff. They had good knowledge of food. Good recommendations of food choices. Food was great. Food was hot when served.

Waitress was very professional. She made our cocktails (top knotch)...then we waited 45 minutes for our food. Once we were served, the first thing we noticed was that the fries were cold, the kitchen got my cook on the steak wrong, and it was cold. As far as the chicken breast, well i could not find any meat fibres, i think it was processed. If this restaurant gets only 4.5 stars and up, i do not understand why. I will never eat here again.

Super friendly staff and quick service. The green curry was perfect. The atmosphere is nice and clean but a bit cold both in ambiance and literally . Although it was September so hard to say if air conditioning from the warm day was still on as the evening cooled. I would definitely eat here again.

We had our wedding here September 2/23. The food... I have no words to describe how delouse and beautiful it is. Boulevard did our buffet dinner and mid night snack (we did a hot dog bar) everything was hot and fresh, one of our guests asked even asked the kitchen at 1 am for more chicken :) I cannot thank this whole team enough for the wonderful job they did for our wedding if you ever need to host a wedding or Party this is the place to do it. Contact Tamara and her team they are so amazing. also, the restaurant is very warm and comfy. We will be heading there for dinner on our next date night.

This meal was so delicious! The peanut sauce was to die for with the salad rolls appetizer... Like so good, you could just drink it by itself. Follow that with the Thai Sirloin and the Chef Seafood Stew entrees! The culinary bliss just kept coming; both entrees were excellent! Flavorful and a feast for the senses. The sauce work was delicious with very lush flavors and beautifully cooked protein. All thumbs enthusiastically up! Food 5 stars!

Tamara in Banquets was phenomenal in helping our organization navigate the planning of our event. She was always available to answer our questions and make adjustments to our needs as we planned. Hotel and banquet supervisors and staff were incredibly professional and willing to go above and beyond for the needs of our planning committee and our registrants the day of the event. All the food and beverages during our event was simple delicious and plentiful servings. I understand that the place had changed hand. I had a couple of gift certificates that were purchased before. I called during business hours to ask if they would honor them, no one answer, maybe they are busy. I reach out via their social media page, still no reply. I don t want to drive 30 mins to ask them in person. Why have a social media presence if you re not going to follow up?

Revamped delicious menu!!! I hadnt been to this restaurant in several years. I checked out the menu online noticed a lot of new options since my last visit. I was very impressed by the choices. My chefs seafood stew was perfection! Just the right amount of heat, and fresh seafood cooked to perfection.

We where in town for Agri Trade and was staying at the hotel. We thought we would just stay in house to eat instead of going out on the town. All 3 nights the service was fantastic and the food was amazing .. A huge shout out to Rob who served us on Thursday evening .. extremely fantastic service. You must eat here! you wont regret it.

Was told by restaurant staff that kids eat free if staying at the hotel - of course when we get there the story changes and the kids menu is limited. Not everything on the kids menu is free. My wife and I ordered the burger in a lettuce wrap, the wrap was a joke - I wish we had left the hotel and grabbed an A&W grandpa burger in their excellent lettuce wraps. If we stay at this holiday inn again, we wont bother eating at this place. The 2 stars is only because the atmosphere was good and the booth spacious and comfortable.

5 stars for the firecracker shrimp, squid, and the Korean chicken and potatoes! I really want to go back to try more of their seafood. Also 5 stars for their lemongrass mojito and their ginger mojito!! So SO tasty!

Great selection of choices, with an emphasis on a Thai kind of theme. Tried the shrimp and satay appetizers - they were great! Rest of the meal was just as good - overall a great first meal. Looking forward to breakfast and at least one more lunch/dinner here during our stay. Good food, service and prices - if you are staying in the Gasoline Alley - skip the fast food places and get a seriously good meal here!

A must try! This hidden gem located at the bottom of the holiday inn has absolutely amazing food and service! The layout is gorgeous inside very modern feel with a absolutely phenomenal menu. Chef Pete has taken this restaurant to the next level! Top notch food and drinks with lots of variety! The menu has so much to offer you wish you could order it all! Absolutely tremendous!!!!! I have eaten here twice during my stay at the holiday inn and suites both times were excellent. Menu is an Asian fusion and it is delicious. Both times sat at the bar and service was great. Restaurant is located in the Holiday Inn. Do yourself a favor and get the stuffed baked potato as a side!

On July 19 I am taking my daughter and her boyfriend out for dinner it is her birthday and I cannot wait to try the Boulevard restaurant and lounge in Penhold Sadly Red Deer does not have many fine dining restaurants for special occasions. As I read through the reviews I am thrilled to see the reviews are so positive!

This hotel has unreal food. Never have I loved a hotel restaurant so much. This is better than any restaurant I ve eaten at in a long time. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

If you had a bad experience, try them again. We had gone for dinner when they had just opened up with chef Pete and were not happy at all. He reached out to us from a Facebook comment and invited us back. Today we went again and it was really good. Both me and my wife enjoyed ourselves and had an amazing meal. Im very glad he asked us back because we will definitely be going many more times. I cant wait to explore his menu more.

Pretty good food and great service. Reopen with chef Pete (who also runs Blue Dragon, Bamboo Hut, and Sophear before), I understand. I wish the steak was a bit more flavorful, but after a few more dishes, will update the review. Pad Thai was good but we wished for a little more flavor too. Tom Yum soup was excellent, and the Korean ribs were very good.

Went to the restaurant on September 11 ..number one ..the service was terrible ..we got 4 different person serving our table they kept forgetting pates etc..we even mention to the main waitress it was my birthday and instead of saying a nice comments she didnt say nothing actually she looked at me like she didnt care... the ambiance was not what I expect mostly after reading the reviews I order the pad Thai dont order it it was just noodle it came with shrimp and chicken but there was not many ..at the end of this review I would say this place is not worth the price or your time ..there is alot better place where you can get a better ambiance a nicer waitress and better food for the price you pay ..I hope your experience will be better then mine

Boulevard is a family favourite. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. If you haven t tried Chef Pete s peanut sauce and salad rolls you are missing out. Thanks Chef Pete and team for another amazing meals!!

A little pricey but the best prime rib in town. Update.. I am not sure if this place has different management or not but I know the chef is gone. The menu has changed and the food is horrible now. I had a chicken stirfry and it was awful. The chicken tasted like fish and was barely cooked. and the noodles were dried right out and unedible. Very little chicken and vegetables. The wife had Pad Thai and again it was awful. It wasnt even pad Thai. We complained and they didnt even care. We will never go back. Such a shame because it use to be such a good place to eat.

Boulevard did not impress me on this day. The food was good but not really worth the price paid and the beer they served me was cloudy and thick...bottom of the keg maybe? Overall the service wasnt bad but didnt wow me. I dont think I would come back based on my experience.

What a joke we cant get a drink or anything to eat cause the lounge is closed for Valentines day I booked this hotel cause it was close to where we need to be and it had a lounge so much for that

Great food and service!

One star thats all you get when it takes 7 minutes to acknowledge you are even there then I ordered 4 eggs over easy with toast and at the 27 minute mark hearing my server laughing and giggling and still no eggs I got up and left. This is the second time ive waited for awhile service (same server)

Fantastic food and a highly varied menu with offerings for all ranges and styles of diets. Service staff are attentive and very knowledgeable with speedy response times. Kitchen cooked everything to perfection and were excellent at accommodating for allergies and sensitivities. Easily one of the best places to eat out in Red Deer. It may be more expensive than other places, but it is worth every penny.

Lunch menu was very reasonably priced with a nice mix of usual and different offerings. Nice quiet atmosphere. A touch of elegance. My sister and I treated our 92 year old mother there for her Birthday. Very good service and delicious!

The bread they gave us was moldy, food was mediocre and very over priced doubt Ill ever go back

I tried this establishment again with no luck on both rounds. I went for lunch this time and ordered the Dungeness PoBoy. What I got was the breaded crab cake they serve as an Appy plopped on a hamburger bun with an old tomato and a piece of leaf lettuce. The sauce was ok for the flavor but was not near enough to over come the dry breaded crab cake. I just expect more from a something being labeled a PoBoy it could come on the proper baguette, which defines the term. The sandwich is something I expect from your average pub that serves mostly fried food, not something from this place that is trying to be fancy especially for the expensive prices they charge.

Went for brunch! Drinks were ordered first and out in a timely manner Waitress was friendly and checked in frequently enough Food came out hot and cooked to a T , plates were a little large for the portion sizes. All around good stop on for a first time dining . Would definitely go back to try the lunch and dinner menus

2nd visit here, food was just ok both times. For the high prices they charge, the food should be exceptional, Go to Earls or the Keg. For a little less money your food there will be first rate.

The food was okay but expensive for what they served. They do a interesting spin on chicken wings which is stuffed. It tasted not bad but visually it was not appealing. It looked like giant tadpoles deep fried.

So I reserved a table Friday night for my husbands birthday. When we came in we were greated nicely by our server Loudia. Overall she provided very nice service the whole visit. The tables are nicely set and comfortable. Our starter of grilled flat bread was delicious. We came to try the prime rib special. It was delicious. We got two sides with our meal. My husband got the ceasar salad and I chose the Tuscan salad. Both very beatiful looking and delicious. We both chose the baked potato which was very disappointing. Everything else was so high end and beatiful and I said Ive had better potatoes at a fast food joint because at least they have real bacon bits and soft butter. Sorry rock hard butter and hard bacon bits arent going to do it for me. Everything else was just so elevated and the potato just fell flat. However since everything else was so good I cant take any stars off over a baked potato. The cocktail I ordered was perfect. The special sangria. It had fresh mint,orange and berries. I loved the one large round ice cube. Just beatiful. Definitely be back again.

Great hidden gem restaurant in Red Deer. Good selection of food and drinks. Make room for the cheesecake after your meal, its the best. You can also get gift $100 gift cards for this place for $80 at the Costco across the street!

Just stopped in for a quick supper before heading to a concert. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Anas (our server) took great care of us and fixed an error with our order at lightning speed. I would highly recommend and we will be back again.

Excellent service and fast! Our server was extremely attentive. Cauliflower appie was the best of the calamari and spring rolls...so flavorful! Duck, chicken and ribs, steaks all excellent Squash and beets seasonal veggies were unbelievably tasty! The margarita s rivaled San Antonio s...but I d prefer the coarse salt.

Staff lunch where we had groups from edmonton and Calgary meeting here. We preordered our food prior and everything was ready when we got there. Good service, organization to make sure our lunch went smoothly and quickly (as we had to travel back).

Unfortunately had horrible service. Told we had to be out and finished in an hour. Didnt even get water for at least ten minutes. Best service was from bartender. My steak that I ordered was incorrect both times. A true disappointment and will not be back.

Hands down the best breakfast in Central Alberta, food is delicious and the services is awesome. The veggie skillet is my favorite! Would encourage everyone to dine there.

Excellent food!

My husband and I have been here for 2 special occasions; our Anniversary and my husbands birthday. Both times we have been so impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. We had the Prime rib special which is on Fridays and Saturdays and it is to die for! On special occasions, you get a free dessert and it is delicious! Also, try the creme brulee, this chef has it perfected! We wont dine anywhere else in Red Deer now. The Boulevard is the best!

Came here based on the reviews and was very disappointed. My husbands meal was 15 for a skillet that was the size of a side plate. No toast or anything included. My eggs benny came with hash browns but I probably got 1/4 of a cup and they were rock hard. Will not be returning.
