Always a good meal here. Only critique is French onion soup could have used more bread and cheese in it but flavour was really good.

Waitress was terrible..felt like it was a bother to serve us..never be back

We were there for Slappy Pappy. Weve been coming there for many years. The service has always been great but September 20th, was exceptional!! Randi L was attentive, friendly and a great server. It was crazy busy however we didnt wait long for anything. Best service weve ever had!!!

Been here a couple times. Overall food is good, little pricey but still good enough for me to come back occasionally. But I found out tonight that they are putting a mandatory 5% gratuity on takeout orders.... when I asked the waitress why there was one she said it was for the kitchen. Ridiculous theyre putting this extra cost on their customers instead of paying their staff properly, especially since theyre already pricier. Honestly dont know if Ill come back again.

I need to say something about the amazing service I received at Hideout in Red Deer. I have a terrible list of allergies as well as celiac disease. The server and manager went way above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of I have never experienced such service before, my whole table was blown away at the lengths they went to, I tried to tell them not to worry about it, but they kept trying to find a solution and really made me feel valued. Thank you so much!!

We shared some appies which were awesome , I would highly recommend the terrayki chicken wonton nachos, so good. Our server Emma was fabulous.

My husband and I went out for supper to the Hideout. I ordered a half rack of the baby back ribs because a full rack from the grocery store tends to be 16-18 inches long. I wasnt even sure Id be able to finish a half-rack if it was 8-9 inches long. Well, imagine my shock when the half-rack came out and it was 4 inches. Yes, 4 inches. It certainly wasnt worth $18 and neither my husband or I will be back. I hate when restaurants rip the customer off. Quite frankly Im surprised theyre still in business.

This is a great local watering hole with a warm, inviting atmosphere, delicuous food, and wonderful service! It is a perfect location to grab lunch, hang out and watch the game, or host an event.

Ordered the prime rib med-rare and it came well-done, I had to ask someone over to have it corrected as the waitress wasnt around enough to be of help. They did get it right but we didnt get our meal until the rest of our party was finished their meals. They did bring us a round of drinks for our troubles, which was nice. 2024 update: the staff and service is great! And the food is always good! I recommend going and experiencing The Hideout.

Terrible service! We were there for over two hours and waited forever for drinks and food. They were so slow We only managed to order two drinks during that time. It wasnt busy at all. Management is loosing money. We were going to stay for the game but left!

Food and service sub par at best. Used to be awesome food, not so much this time. Ordered beef dip, looks like it came on a mini hot dog bun. Asked for ketchup and came back with 3 packets...really? packets... Def not worth 20ish dollars each meal. Felt ripped off for sure. Food

Absolutely terrible. Its like everyone knew about this place. Drunks stumbling around everywhere while the hockey game played on TV. Couldnt hide to save your life. Blatant false advertising (except perhaps for cheating spouses based on several overheard conversations in the standing room only madness)

Mya was an absolute delight! She was very attentive and kind. Our food was incredible! Had the stuffed mushrooms (to die for), jalapeno soup, wonton nachos, wings, and potato skins. Everything was delicious and all of the staff was super friendly! Would highly recommend coming here, cant wait to come back again!

Tried to go out for a casual dinner here around 5pm and it was closed even though everywhere we looked it said it was open till 8pm!

My wife and I went to the hideout last Saturday night because weve had good experiences there in the past. I order the rib eye steak with twice baked potato and holy hell it was so salty I couldnt even stomach it. I literally had 2 bites told my wife it was salty and cut a small piece for her to try and she was shocked at how salty it was. My entire plate was saturated with the extremely salty juice from the steak which ruined the entire meal. We sent it back and waited for the kitchen to remake my order and when I got the replacement meal there was absolutely zero seasoning on the steak! So it went from tasting like I was licking a livestock salt block to a piece of meat that literally had zero flavor. This meal ended up costing us nearly $200!! I was thoroughly disappointed and our evening was completely ruined not to mention that I was sick to my stomach afterwards from the few bites of the first steak I was given. It will be a very long time before I consider returning to the hideout after this mess.

We stopped in for a meal on the final portion of a six hour road trip. Ordered 2 diet cokes and the Monday special (tacos with sour cream), seafood Alfredo and calamari for an appetizer. Ten minutes after ordering, the server came back to say they have no sour cream. We changed the taco order to a cod sandwich. Ten minutes after that the server returned to say they had no calamari. Thirty minutes in, we had our pop and no chance of getting half of what we wanted to eat, so we told the server we were leaving. She brought us an $8 bill for our 2 sodas which we had hardly even touched because we wanted to enjoy them with our meal. No manager. No supervisor. No clue. Never again. What a waste of our time. Aren t you a restaurant?? Argh!!

Been a while since I had a decent steak out and they delivered!! Was there for a birthday party and the staff was over run but did a decent job of maintaining a positive attitude.

I asked for medium rare, and I got a blood rare steak but the waitress fixed the problem and took the steak off of my bill. Thank you very much for your customer service.

Really chill place, brings life and variety to the otherwise glorified truck stop that is Gasoline Alley. Really cool serving staff, and Ive met a few interesting strangers there too. The atmosphere seems to encourage socialization. Good music, great food. Ive been late getting back to work from lunch because I got so pulled into enjoying my meal here!

Ordered the soup of the day, was bland. Ordered the nachos and you d think the salsa and sour cream were made of gold the way they hoarded them!!! Got the bill and was shocked!! Paid $2.00 for a glass of water!! Soup was $10.50!! What a scam!! Service was mediocre Overpriced food

The atmosphere is great, nice and big. Our server was very attentive. The food was not the best... my turkey club had crunchy toast, rock hard bacon with some dried out turkey. My wife had the Thai peanut wrap and it was the driest wrap that we ever had... and did not have peanut sauce, it has peanut butter mix in it. My kids Mac and cheese bites were good and he was missing some cheese in his quesadilla. For a $80 bill I would not recommend.

I tried their Oriental Nachos and they were so good. Great take on nachos. Always good food.

Great place to meet for Lunch. The staff were very nice, now for the food, it was very good, but when you give a side of mayo or Ketchup could you please put it in bowl. That was very tacky, and you are not a fast food Rest.

Hideout is a common food stop for us on our travels through the Red Deer corridor. This is a comment on the service provided. Cayley is probably one of the best servers we ve ever come across. She was very efficient, very courteous, very polite, and doing it all with a smile on her face. Thank you Cayley for such a great dinner experience

these were the worst wings I ve ever had, and holy ever overpriced. $90 for 4 orders of wings (on wing Wednesday!) And 2 beers! food tastes sour and presentation is sloppy at best.

The Mama Mia by red deer eats was one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. Chicken was not dry and the flavor was explosive, I would definetly buy it again!

We were a group of 22 so we expected some delays and mixups. There were none. Food and drinks came promptly, the young female server was around checking in, bringing all the extras when asked and was prompt with the bills. The food came quick and everyone seemed happy with their experience. I would go back.

I ordered a French dip, today for lunch. What I received was a bun, whit ground beef in it. I dont think they know what a French dip is. The waitress didnt even acknowledge, when I told her, it was no good. Food

We were so disappointed, went here for Fathers day dinner. We were seated quickly, waited 20 minutes to get our drinks, at the hour mark still no food, our waitress was no where to be found! We got one refill of our drinks. My husband and myself could not eat the food as its was just horrible! Food arrived after an hour and 20 minutes!!! What a waste of our time and money

Ive eaten here a handful of times. Good food and good service. The only thing that I cant stand about The Hideout is that your drink will taste like a Cesar even if you order a Pepsi or water. Really off putting to have that taste if you dont like Cesars. Probably unhygienic too

The place is nice and big. The service was great. The food was yummy. My only gripe was that the portions were small for how much you paid. I have never had such a small portion of fries for a dish that was nearly $20 dollars. Otherwise it was great! Worth a visit if you get a chance.

An expensive mediocre experience sums up our visit today. I wanted to order the Southwest Taco Salad until I was asked what kind of protein I wanted and informed that if I wanted taco meat it would be another $5.75 on top of the $17. A taco salad...without the taco meat...ludicrous. So then I ordered the Thai Peanut Wrap and paid for my protein of choice, in this case chicken, and an extra $5 or so dollars, still under $20 so ok, I can live with that. When it arrived I could tell right away it was dry but I decided to give it a go. It so dry and tasteless I could not eat it. The peanut sauce didnt taste like anything other than peanut butter and they grilled the wrap with lettuce inside so it was slimey and gross. I tried taking the filling out of the wrap to see if it would help, still dry and tasteless. This shouldnt even be on the menu. Its not that the cooks didnt anything wrong, its just a bad recipe. My husbands BLT was very tasteless and the bread was very over toasted and the bacon was hard. I will say though that the fries were good, so at least theres that. Its really unfortunate, I used to love The Hideout, but I dont love this new direction theyve decided to try. They did give me a $5 coupon because I didnt eat the wrap...but I wont be back. Such a beautiful location, it could be great.

Great place with a most friendly and fun server. She was great. I wished I knew her name but if you go there and have a server with wonderful leaf and vine themed tattoos your in for a good time with an individual who makes your visit to this place enjoyable.

Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive despite it being crazy busy when we arrived! The food was absolutely delicious, my husband is a steak guy and has a hard time going out and eating it as restaurant never live up to his standards, the prime rib special ( Friday s dinner special) was so good he had to send a picture out to his friends. We will definitely be coming back to this place!!

Edit.. my Dad and I went yesterday and the employee that brought our food out was absolutely rude, my Dad even commented to me which he doesnt do that. Great food, great service! Consistent always.

Always a good bet for a bevvy and a snack. Staff are great, lots od space and good parking. Washrooms are clean. A bit too dark inside.

Ordered our food through DoorDash and unfortunately a sandwich got missed for delivery. Phoned the restaurant to get help with what to do and they knocked it out of the park. Food was HAND DELIVERED by a staff member of the restaurant so we could continue our dinner. Well done!!

We had Kellie for lunch today. She was the most polite server ever! She was great with kids, food was great. On time Kid-friendliness: Amazing prices for kids, 10$ got them a drink, main and ice cream! And they had these great toys that the kids even played with at home after!

Excellent service and food for our Christmas party. They helped up with a party of 20 last minute when our Christmas party venue double booked and were left with no where else to go. Great staff, the drinks were great and the food was so good!

I have always loved the Hideout, I was just passing through town and went out of my way to stop in. I received incredibly cold service from Chantell Y (the name printed on my copy of the bill) I asked a couple questions in regards to the drink menu and the entire time I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. I still tipped 15% on 120 because I believe in the industry standard but it wasn t deserved in my opinion and will never go out of my way to stop in moving forward, a positive attitude goes a long way. I left pretty disappointed in the service and my experience.

5 stars all around! Have yet to have a bad experience and been there lots! Highly recommend Food

So disappointed...I was there twice the first time was amazing this time around was brutal...I realized why once I received your menu and i looked at all your dead flowers on your patio ...your made so many changes on your menu ...barely no choice and your price is up big time but the quality of the food is not there ..my Wing were terrible and small no flavors..even my trouble tea was bad . The tank must of been defenitly seating there more the a few days ..Just not happy wont be back ..waitress was great...you were so great in red deer once upon of time what happened to your establishment??? ..never again waisted 70 $ bill ..

The calamari, fried pickles, & Redneck poutine were EXCEPTIONAL! The wings were average & hubby said the apple dessert was very good. The staff were friendly & attentive without being bothersome. Really great experience overall.

Great hot food. I think I had the Thai seafood bowl and it was amazing. Could only eat half took the rest home for lunch! Also had a wonderful cheese cake. A little pricey but great service and food.

5 adults 3 kids. French fries were ok. Steak sandwiches were not cooked to order. Medium came rare. Onions on top were barely cooked. Club sandwiches were pretty bland. Atmosphere was ok. Service wasn t great.

Our family has been going to this restaurant for years, we have used the private function room and this place really rocks. Comfy, cozy with separate bathroom and the chef is amazing. Mom and Dad had their 60 anniversary here with over 30 guests. We have also had dinner in the bar restaurant side many times and we ve always experience excellent and friendly service. Amanda has been great, my family and I cannot thank her enough and her staffs efforts for the wonderful service they provide. Our family now gets together at The Hide Out once a month and is making it a tradition, a great way for a family visit. Thank you Hide Out,
