This place has a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. They have shelves of so many teas that you can purchase from. I highly recommend this restaurant 👌
Excellent place with great kids menu selection. Kids loved the beef dip here. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend Glenn's anytime and will definitely return and cannot wait when Spring is here with the blossom to sit outside in the garden and sip delicious tea served so elegantly! We stopped both on our way to the mountains and back - three times in one week from #YEG Our server spoke very highly of the owner and has been with Glenn's many years! Excellent stop for breakfast and different arrays of tea! Leaflets explaining all the teas available. Both food and service were excellent; variety of charming teapots and the whole ambience is superb. Shall return again when in the vicinity of Gasoline Alley! Bravo to all staff and proprietor.
The best loose-leaf teas around! The gift shop is one of my favourite places on the planet, with hundreds of teas, teapots and gifts to sift through. I admired it as a kid driving through Gasoline Alley, and have been a fan since first going in a few years ago. 🫖 Don’t miss it!
This is a very unique place. Family owned and very well maintained. The food was delicious, friendly service and well decorated to its original style. An extra bacon will cost you about $2.50, so combos are better deals. Wishing them the very best!
I honestly can't believe I have been driving past this place for years. It was really good. The food is pretty standard breakfast/lunch/dinner diner food but it was all prepared really well, other than them forgetting the onions in my omelette, but that wasn't a big enough issue to complain about. We all enjoyed our food. What stood out to me were a few other things. First, the bathroom was immaculately clean and nice. If you go through gasoline Alley a lot, you know that a nice bathroom can sometimes be hard to find. Second, they were super family friendly. They had an extensive kids menu for my 4 year old. They had a few well sized high chairs and plastic bibs for my 8 month old. They gave us a free "baby meal" which was a scoop of mashed potatoes. They also had a step stool in the bathroom, which my 4 year old was excited for because it meant she could reach the sink. Third, is the thing they are known for. The tea. I love tea. They have so many amazing sounding options. We each got a pot of tea, except for my baby. My kid loved the tutti frutti tea. Each pot came with a cookie that had black tea in it and it was delicious. They even gave an extra one to my 8 month old after asking if it was ok. I was struggling to finish my tea before we had to get back on the road and the waiter asked if we wanted to go cups which was genius as I didn't want to leave it behind. We will definitely be back.
Our waitress was outstanding!! I couldn't have been in better hands. She kept all the coffees full and was very knowledgeable. I had their eggs Benedict in potato paddies. The tea pot made 4 cups!!! The best!! Excellent is the only way to describe it!! Will be back soon with the family!!
My first time here and it was total disappointment. I got crepes with fruits. And I was so excited to try them! My choice was banana and strawberries for fruits, and it was the worst fruits I tried. Banana didn’t have taste, strawberries tasted bad. Crepes didn’t taste good either. The cream was not whipped enough, it spread on the plate. I couldn’t even swallow the disgusting tasting meal. Quality of fruits was horrible. If you don’t know how to cook crepes, you don’t have to have it in your menu, guys. Coffee tasted weird. Our server didn’t refill our water cup and coffee cups, I don’t have anything what I would say positive about this place. First and last time in here. Overpriced food for no reason. We paid 70$ for nasty crepes, cold french toast and bacon with sausage. Never coming back.
This place is such a staple of Red Deer and is by far one of the best family restaurants in the city. The food is always good and filling and reasonable value. Servers are friendly and quick to serve you. If youre looking for a good homestyle meal I highly recommend stopping in.
New eggs Benedict English muffins are not good at all! Thanks for your years of amazing service and looking forward to returning once the muffin issue is rectified.
Wheelchair accessibility: Great access with good disabled spots and ramp onto sidewalk and automatic doors Food
Great spot for a cheap date, catching up with friends or just working on a laptop with free wifi, Get a booth and order some tea which comes with a cookie - its really that simple, prices change based on people at a booth so one pot covers 2 people, additional people is something like a buck or two per person (as of Dec 2024) make sure you smell/look through the teas before sitting down they are to your left when entering the restaurant Have I eaten the food? no, so no review on that but the tea..... God dam its good Vegetarian options: Tea should be Dietary restrictions: Cookies are pretty safe Kid-friendliness: Sure but its quite place Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, with some assistance into the doors no stairs or cliffs for the main entrance
This hands down is one of the best places I have been. My children love coming with me to see all the new decor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend it, if you find yourself on gasoline Alley. Stop in, say hello !!!
Great food, large servings. Maybe if you are seniors and light eaters, share an entree.
Amazing had the chai tea in hot chocolate..Damn! Be warned it is really hot so take care before you sip. I was shocked by the HUGE wall of loose tea for sale. Incredible! The food smelled so damn good too from the restaurant. Had eaten earlier at the Holiday Inn..regretted not knowing this was here 5 minutes away. Went to the gift shop across the way earlier and in my eyes got suddenly very poor..Wanted everything. Although not in Red Deer proper it is by far the best shop for unusual, beautiful gifts for friends and family of all ages..A secret right off the highway in Gasoline Alley .Make the stop in both the restaurant, and gift shop..then go to the donut mill for your snacks for the road.
Seriously the staff goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your visit. The tea selection is unparalleled to anywhere Ive been and everything is amazingly reasonable. The gift shop is a special place to visit too. They have a Sunday brunch, which is small selection wise, but I would get the potato Benny hands down
The food & service was great!
We have been going there a lot more the food is always excellent!
I am not one to do reviews but this restaurant was Stand-out Amazing! The staff, the food, the whole experience made you just feel at home. I am not a fan of chain restaurants and Glenns confirms why. I had a delicious Beef Dip, Mashed Potatoes and gravy, that gravy was definitely home made, and beef was so fresh... nothing processed there. So good! My pot of delicious Chai was not done so I was given a take out cup so I was able to take along, and not only me but my sister was brought a full coffee cup to take along too. I highly recommend Genns and I will try to stop there everytime I am passing by Red Deer. Thank You, Glenns!
Best tea and great breakfast and service always
It feels like walking into a family members home! Service and food are perfect.
Parking: NA Food
What a great gem! First time stopping for breakfast and I can t believe I wasted so many years without knowing about this place. Massive pancakes and great coffee but the customer service was top notch. Place is known for its teas so next time, I ll have to check those out! Vegetarian options: I wish they would have more, very limited options on the menu.
Very impressive restaurant! We lived in Red Deer many years ago and Glenns was good then. Theyve maintained the restaurant to top notch standards. We had breakfast, everything was cooked to perfection. Even bought tea! Its nice to see the same owner and staff for over 30 years. Highly recommended.
Hadnt been to Glenns in years and have to admit I was disappointed in the food (perhaps it was my choice of gluten friendly greek wrap but it was odd to me that they had half grilled veggies and half fresh veggies in this wrap... it didnt taste good). The prices were pretty high as well for what you get. The service on the other hand was amazing.
It has been some time since my last visit. But I promise to stop in more often. The service and food were outstanding.
The service was the best part of the meal. The waitress was very friendly and made sure I had coffee. The holindese sauce was very bland. I was looking forward to breakfast but it was disappointing. The meal was way overpriced.
Wonderful service. Love my pot of tea, with a great selection of teas.
Great place to stop in gasoline Alley and its right next to the donut mill so two birds, one stone really. A great lunch or breakfast spot similar to an ABC country restaurant type feel but not a chain! Also a must stop if youre a tea lover.
A really good spot to grab breakfast. Located not so far from the highway. They offer an interesting berry-based syrup from Saskatchewan (I think). Their coffee was really good! They seemed understaffed on the floor, but that didn t affect their speed of service. I used to work in food service so I just feel bad for their servers, hopefully management would do something about it. Parking: Lots of parking space just on the side of their building
Very good food and service. Food is also reasonably priced.
Decent. PS the teas are great Food : 4/5
Good food, great atmosphere, excellent service (big thanks to our waitress Debbie) Will come back, highly recommended Food
Great food. Excellent service
Lovely little café with an amazing selection of teas
Great
Cozy place, amazing service and great food. The salmon benny highly recommended
I was surprisingly shocked by this restaurant! Everything about the experience was wonderful, and they give you enough tea to take the extra in a to go cup. Highly recommend!
I always stop in on the way to Edmonton to buy loose tea. They have the best selection and much cheaper than the other specialty tea stores.
I totally recommend this place. The staff are so nice and the tea is awesome. I love the tea cookies!!
Amazing tea and truly calming atmosphere. Kailey is very professional and friendly. Food
I try to support independent businesses, but won t return to this one if I can avoid it. The prices are soooo steep for really basic food. Average price for a breakfast or lunch dish is $25. My daughter s burger was missing a large chunk of the patty and the server said that was normal. I will always go the Starlite diner car in Bowden when travelling highway #2. This place doesn t even compare.
The best cup of tea in the province of Alberta. A trip to Red Deer is never complete without a visit to Glenns. They always provide the tastiest food coupled together with the very best service. Stop in and you will not be disappointed!
When I travel to Calgary for business, I always make a point to stop and take a lunch or supper break here. Amazing food and wonderful service+
Great service, great food, large portions. Very clean and well maintained. A little bit of an old school vibe, I highly recommend this place.
One of Red Deer s finest longest serving restaurants. There are several wait staff who have made this place a lifes career.
We love Glenns. We go at least few times a month. Food, atmosphere and service are all amazing. If you like fruity loose leaf teas I highly suggest the Raspberry Lemonade
Food is pretty good and the service depends on how busy it is. But its always a good place to get Breakfast.
We visited on an average Monday afternoon, atmosphere mid, service mid, food mid. We were enjoying our mid brunch, I had glen s breakfast, Auntie ate chicken pot pie, grandma munched seniors breakfast, and my mother ate a quick 2 eggs accompanied by two slices of tomato due to a gluten allergy.. annnnnd oh boy did we pay for the allergy 16.. SIXTEEN DAMN DOLLARS FOR TWO POACHED EGGS AND TWO SLICES OF TOMATOES.. to be fair there was one piece of wilted lettuce that could have contributed to the heafty price but in today s economy not even the greatest amount of inflation could justify the price this snack.. not even meal. I mean let s break it down, the average carton of eggs is about $5 and a 6 pack of similar looking tomatoes is about $6 therefore an egg would cost $0.42 and the tomatoes $1/each but considering we received a quarter of a tomato let s say she ate $0.50 worth of their product bringing that total to a $1.34 but nooooo let s charge $16 because that seems reasonable. In conclusion I believe we need to reevaluate the cost of the menu especially since this meal purchased is likely only bought by the minority, gluten lacking civilians. But the coffee was acceptable!!
I went to the souvenir store, not to the restaurant. The souvenir store is great, a lot of knick knacks that are different from other souvenir store. I bought hand lotion from there and the smell is good. I likes to see a lot of tea cups and mugs with big range of size and they are unique.
Glens is always a treat. Service is great and the food is always more than meets the eye. Portions are very large. Especially the pancakes. Recommended to go hungry and leave fully satisfied. Food : 5/5 |
Always great food and service is always incredible!!
We stopped for tea on the way back from edmonton to Calgary. We got three teas, and each was absolutely delicious. It was a great experience. After we left the store, opening the car to get back on the road, our pet bird had unhooked his leash and rather than being obsessed with chewing on said leash he decided to fly out of the car. Im writing this in a light-hearted way, but it was truly a harrowing experience. My partner has had our little guy for 5 years now, and we love him very much. The story has a happy ending, and we were able to find him, and he is safe at home. The reason this is relevant is because the staff on Saturday, Aug 10, were amazing. They came out and checked on us and my partner, who was going through it. They checked the roof and different places we didnt have access to while still doing their jobs and making sure the guests in the restaurant were taken care of. After they closed and they were on their way home, they checked on us again. Thankfully, by then, we found him and were calming down before getting back on the road. To say my first visit to this restaurant was an experience feels like an understatement, but I will be back next time I need a drink in Red Deer.
Lovely service and atmosphere... food not great.
We stopped here on the way to edmonton. The food was awesome. The staff were on point. They have very cool tea sets when you first come in. We are planning to come back when we head put of edmonton to go home. Going to check out the gift shop
I love this place. It was a great experience! Delicious food and great service! Food : 5/5
The service was the worst. They did not care about the business or customer. Just a all around bad attitude. Food was very expensive and everything was burnt or soggy. You could tell it was pre cooked then frozen then microwave to fryer. Both of us ate less then half will never go back
We went for dinner and were beyond impressed. Great service, wait time for food was reasonable. We had Mac and Cheese, BLT, Nachos, perogies, strawberry and chicken salad, pancakes & bacon. All came out hot and fresh. The chicken was not processed chicken, the Mac and cheese was delicious. The nachos and perogies filled the teenagers. All but two of us werent able to finish our meals due to the size of the portions. We have eaten at many local restaurants and this was one of our top ones! Not to mention the tea selection and quality was also great! We will be back again soon. Cheers!
Great breakfast. Amazing service.
Nice place, excellent food, nice customer service.
Excellent food and service. The giant cinnamon is really huge. It fed two of us leftover for the next morning.
very pricey.
Staff is pleasant and food is always consistent. Kids and wife love their breakfast dishes and so do I.
The breakfasts are fantastic. Really enjoy their sausage and egg special. The selection of teas are amazing and all of the servers are very friendly. The dinner menu the few items I tried were very lack luster. The homemade burger patties didnt really hit, and a few of the other entrees, like the beef dip, were pretty mediocre. Definitely would recommend for tea and breakfast though
This is our favorite place to stop for lunch or dinner. The food and the service are excellent, and nowadays, with eating out costing so much, the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back.
cute place for breakfast. they have a huge selection of teas that come with these cute little teapot shaped cookies! i really recommend the eggs benedict and hashbrows. :)
The coffee and dessert were excellent and the service exceptional.
We went there for breakfast as a family. Good food, good portion, our waitress did her job very well Dietary restrictions: My daughter-in-law is lactose intolerant and they directed her through the menu Parking: Numerous places all around the restaurant Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and booster seats Wheelchair accessibility: At ground level
Great staff, great food, and great service. The place is clean!! So many corporate places are dirty.
Great little old school diner. Great service, good food, good prices. Cant go wrong
Great little place
Food was very good. We had a wonderful and friendly server, helpful in handling my gluten intolerance issues. Much appreciated! Only complaint would be the price, a bit high compared to other restaurants. Other than that, top notch! Dietary restrictions: Helped with choices for gluten intolerance.
We always stop here on our way through, we love the selection at the restaurant AND at the tea/gift shop!
Went for supper on our way back from Calgary to Edmonton. Unique food and pleasant ambience! If you are a tea lover, this is the place to go! I recommend Roibos tea. It s really delicious!
I want to leave 2.5 stars, but I cant so Ill be generous and leave 3. I dont know what to think of this place. I love drinking tea and I understand that a tea shop would probably not survive on its own. But charging these ridiculous prices for food is not a way to go IMO. Even the price of tea is unclear. Nowhere in the menu does it say that they have 2 different sizes of tea pots or their prices. It only says $5.95 per person drinking tea which is confusing?! Charging $22 for eggs benedict, maybe in Calgary on 17th Avenue, but not here in this prairie town. I guess this place only stays alive with the boomer population supporting it. Sorry, but I cant afford to drop $70 on breakfast for my family. Getting just tea is an options but then again as I said, it is very unclear from the menu how much it costs. Never mind the sign on the wall saying that a minimum charge per person is $3, which is very off-putting and unnecessary since everything is so expensive here. I would love to come back here just for tea and cinnamon roll but I am not sure if I will. I dont feel well among the entitled boomer population that cant even take off their baseball hats when eating their overpriced steak.
Awsome Food and great service Spotless kitchen Gifts hope above others Food : 5/5
The perfect break when driving between Calgary and Edmonton. Great selection on the menu. Kudos to our server Alex. We appreciate the attention to detail. See you again next time we happen to be en-route. Food
Our server was great!! The food is overpriced for the portions you receive & the quality has gone down since the last time I was there.
We got there 10 minutes before closing. They welcomed us and made sure we got fed. The food came quickly. It was hot and delicious. Our server Alex went above and beyond to look after us. We will be back!
Nancy is amazing!! So fast and hard working!! Our food was so good and brought to us quickly. She followed up with refills and any needs for our table of 8. Thanks for everything!
Amazing selection of tasty teas. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Fabulous desserts. Food : 5/5
Everyone is very friendly and there is a wide variety of breakfast options. Would recommend.
Im going to tell everyone I know about this restaurant! Service was really great, the food was delicious, the food quantities were fantastic and the prices were exactly what food should cost and not the inflated prices everywhere else charges. I will always plan to stop in for a meal when passing through Red Deer in the future. Thank you Glens! Dietary restrictions: They have a Gluten friendly menu available upon request and the bun that was served may have been home made and tasted great Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and portions are not skimpy
Great place. If youre looking for new/modern and trendy, this isnt it, this place is comfort like your parents grandparents house growing up. Go check it out!!
This is for the arrogant manager named Alex, who was told id be giving this terrible review. We ate at Glenns 3 yrs ago when first moved to Red Deer and was quite good. Not this time. Arrived for dinner around 6 pm. Started with coffee that was not hot. Waitress said she had to make coffee fresh. Still not very hot, luke warm. When i asked for multi-grain bread on my $22.00 clubhouse sandwich, i received white. So i returned it. Clubhouse came back correct but not the fries i had with it. I asked wheres the fries, was told being made fresh. When they finally came, i was halfway through my sandwich, and they were under cooked with much oil on the plate...rather gross. I explained they should have brought the meal complete with fries. I asked where the manager was, i was told he will be out later. When Alex finally came, about 5 minutes after my guest and i finished eating (i didnt eat the under cooked, greasy, late arriving fries), he started by saying and i quote Theres nothing particularly wrong with the meal... ill comp you your fries. Thats when my guest spoke and pointed out the meal was wrong from the beginning, cold coffee, wrong bread, late awful fries. I suggested my meal be complimentary, mine, not my guests. He argued with me and offered half price. I warned Alex id put this experience on google reviews, he didnt care. This is a $22.00 meal were talking about here, and only my meal...$11.00 difference from half price to full price. For that horrible arrogant attitude, i give you this honest review. Tried to take pic of fries and oil on the plate, didnt turn out great, but the pic is here. Will never eat here again.
Best selection of teas that i have ever come across. All of them explained well in their special tea menu. On top of that the food is good, substantial, and not overly expensive. Service was very good also, just like usual. Parking: Huge parking lot.
The biscuit were the bomb! Great service, Loved the vibes and massive tea selection. Super pricey though. Food : 5/5
My 94 year old dad and I went here for brunch. The breakfast double meal looked good so we ordered it. When it came we were shocked. 2 huge pancakes on one plate for each of us. Then two more plates with two eggs, two black burned sausages and two of the toughest hardest pieces of bacon that you could imagine on them. It was ugly. Good thing we were both hungry. It also cost almost $50 for that awful meal and two cups of coffee. When it was all done we drove past the A&W and stared longingly at it just thinking of the meals we could have had. Please dont go to this restaurant unless you want a terrible meal experience for some reason!
Best place to stop for food on your way through. Have a nice meal with a hot fresh tea and biscuit. Relax and enjoy. Very nice selection of teas with an outdoor garden better enjoyed in summer and spring season. Food prices are great for the amount of food given. Amazing service anytime I stop in. Staff are always so kind and welcoming. I try to stop here anytime I pass through. Pancakes last time were so fluffy. Will be stopping again today, hopefully. Edit: Still coming here after 5+ years, its always a treat. Purchased 2 matcha tins and a matcha brush during the recent visit.
Great family style restaurant with lots of seating and of course the best tea in town.
Lovely spot. Go for really expensive tea. Food, you might as well just make something at home. Its just prepackaged heat and eat stuff. Not great.
Although the decor leaves a lot to be desired the wait staff and food make up the difference I finally experienced their cinnamon bun . It truly is an glorious experience Food
Enjoyable family restaurant. Standard fare and tasty loose tea in individual pots.
The very best Rhuben Ive had outside of New York.
If you read some of the morons retards and slow cookers(!) reviews here, you would realize first that they have no understanding of how a business is ran. They are born calves and they will die cows! Thats all I can tell you about the people how write stupid reviews here. In this time and day even keeping a business up and running is a struggle, let alone making it profitable. The service and food here is not equal to a Michelin star restaurant and is not expected to be at that level but it certainly is fair for the price you pay and I write this here without any bias and after a couple of visits. Parking: Nothing to tell! Its a parking lot!
Quality dishes at reasonable prices. Very clean restaurant, comfortable seating and clean nicely appointed washrooms. Recommend!
I loved the Irish breakfast tea, and the tea cookie was delicious. The men s bathroom has a baby change station. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with crayons for colouring. They have high chairs and booster seats. There s a baby change station in both bathrooms
My favorite place in Red Deer! Great food, excellent staff, delicious tea
Cute restaurant, just a little pricey. But the food was very good.
The food was fabulous. Will definitely return, when I am in Red Deer.
Great staff.
Try the French Vanilla Chai Tea Mocha Delicious!!! Service
Always great food
It was great had the breakfast omelet it probably been 20 years since I went there as I moved out of reddeer then still food as good as ever would recommend and I will definitely eat there again on my trip through that area
Food is poor taste and it s expensive
Amazing tea selection, I absolutely loved it!
Great food and service. Always stop there when passing by Red Deer.
Great place very very nice service
A nice settng, very friendly service, and generous servings.
Alex was a very patient and attentive person. Even played along with the , want a box for that, game my partner like to play with the awesomest reply weve had. Tea and breakfast for supper was delicious!
Great restaurant and staff
I enjoy the quirkiness of this restaurant. Ive always had good meals here and lovely tea. The addition of a cookie with tea feels special like going to Grandmas house. The variety and quality of tea at Glenns Restaurant is amazing. Im a local and this is one of my favorite spots in the area. Kid-friendliness: Glenns Restaurant is a very family friendly establishment.
Great food, just need more vegan options. Tons of teas!! Vegetarian options: Not enough
We arrived as a family of 4. Seated immediately. Then we sat at our booth ignored for over 15mins. No one came to take a drink order or introduce themselves as our server. Someone cleaned a few tables nears us and 3 employees were standing by the counter looking at one of their phones talking. Still no one approached our table. It was NOT busy at all. Maybe 3 tables had people eating. We left without ordering. Will not return.
Very busy place ,food was good,
Delicious food and awesome customer service!
We stopped here for the first time on our way to Calgary and Im sad we havent been here before! It was a cute and cozy spot for brunch. I loved the selection of teas and Logan was very helpful and informative on helping to decide from the over 250 varieties I loved the tea I had and the little teapot cookie was a cute addition. The food was also good. I had the Daily Double breakfast with french toast. It came with a delicious berry syrup which was a nice surprise and better than maple syrup. My boyfriend was very content with his hot sandwich with beef patties. Definitely a place we will return to any time we are driving by!
Breakfast is on the more expensive side, but it s delicious & the service is exceptional! Shauna was fantastic.
Cosy comfort food .Quick and very friendly service. Burger is plain Beny good and well done. Food : 4/5
Clean. Good service but worse piece of fish ever. Caesar salad was very good.
Probably the best customer service weve ever had. Everyone working here was super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, perfect visit. 10 out 10 will be back.
The best thing I could say about the food was they had saskatoon berry syrup. Food was very disappointing for how much it cost. Coffee wasnt hot. The service was the best part of my experience the waitress brought Coffee over all the time and was very good.
The burger was dry and tasteless. The Rueben sandwich was ok even though the sauerkraut didnt have alot of flavor. The side salad was rusty throughout though topped with fresh sliced radishes and cukes. Probably wont return on our next trip to Red Deer. The waiter was great though.
Excellent American style of food with a very pleasant atmosphere.
Glenns is our favourite restaurant for breakfast, good menu selection, friendly staff, generous portions and reasonable prices. The tea selection is incredible and they are one of the few restaurants in Canada who actually know how to make tea properly Food
Our server was so friendly and helpful and oir meal was delicious!
We all enjoyed the food, and the restaurant was clean.
My server was very kind and did her job well. I was shocked at the prices when I saw the menu. Breakfast sandwich with coffee was $21. No sides, 1 egg, 2 pieces of bacon and a few avocado slices. I wont be back.
Very high prices for everything. Not pleased with the quality of food and especially with the high prices. We only had breakfast/brunch and prices at 23.00+ was not warranted Food
good food, large servings, excellent service, clean surroundings, friendly staff
Such amazing food and great service we actually had to go back. Keep up the great work!
Excellent service, large menu as well as all day breakfast. Portions are large and food comes out quickly. Will be back when in area.
We love going to Glen s. It s a decent price and the server (manager) Kailey is soooo good at her job. Friendly, there with coffee refills and just an all around great server. Keep up the awesome work Kailey good service like you give is hard to find. And of course the food is always good!
Wonderful place to stop if you re travelling through Red Deer Alberta. Good sit down restaurant, good kids menu, good traditional Canadian food, big breakfasts, lunch and pancakes. I love the beef dip, caesar salad, burgers, or if you want a big breakfast, the Western Skillet. Great odd decor of teapots all around the place and a massive tea collection to drink or take away. I often stop just to have the massive tasty cinnamon buns. Good personal service and bottomless coffee. Do go here if you want rushed fast food. Take a few extra minutes, stop and enjoy your meal, and get a nice take out for later. Parking: Easy to park right in around the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Good kid friendly menu. And take away boxes if they want to take the rest to go.
Drove down from edmonton for quick day trip and to have lunch at Glenns. Portions large some items higher in price but well worth the home cooked taste. Parking: Has handicap accessible parking
Great first time experience. Will be back again Corinne was amazing! Food
Love it!
Great food and service, a little pricey though. Just like everything these days.
Always great
I was expecting more especially with the food. I had breakfast and coffee. Wasnt very good
Glenns is amazing. Great tea. Awesome pie. Delicious tea cookies. Definitely a family favorite. Ps. They can ship tea.
Food is always good and their tea selection is amazing.
The service is ALWAYS great. We frequent this restaurant and we have probably had every meal on the menu without 1 complaint. ALWAYS delicious!! It is an older restaurant with old decor but still nice and clean. The lighting is dim so perfect for headache and migraine sufferers. Parking: Large parking lot that is mostly empty even at their peak times.
Classic diner food. Vast selection of tea. Gift shop is more of a Knick knacks shop. Will be back again for festival hangover food. Really good service by the manager, outdid herself. Bit on the pricier end for classic diner food but still a pleasant experience.
Havent been there for a long time. The food and atmosphere are still great.
Tea was fantastic (had strawberry lemon), ate the fish and chips (1st time had to return, but remake came back great). Kids loved the atmosphere and the food. Highly recommend. Parking: Small shop so somewhat limited spaces. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the place
The service was great but the food was okay, for that price.
Lovely food, ambiance, and service. Fun gift shop.
$27 for a breakfast buffet. A. BREAKFAST. Buffett..... Wasnt expecting that price gouge. We opted for ordering instead. Eggs Benny tasted super weird/off. Not impressed with the food for the price. Its mediocre breakfast for ridiculous prices. This used to be our favourite spot. Goodbye Glens.
Great Vegetarian options, and the All day breakfast keeps us coming back Vegetarian options: Great Veggie Burger and All Breakfast items can be made meatless. Food : 5/5 |
Glen s is always great. Clean as a whistle. Prices are reasonable and portions are fair. They deserve more business. The gasoline alley revamp a few years back seems to have slowed down their business.
Excellent food, good-sized portions. Great service.
Excellent service, very friendly people
Excellent food always stop here on trips
The price increase has been too dramatic. We used to stop here regularly between Edmonton and Calgary, but wont be going forward. The food is not good enough to justify the price. The service is okay, but not stellar and the atmosphere is quaint, but old fashioned. I can no longer recommend eating at this business.
Super disappointing! First off, the restaurant is nice enough and the service was good. The food is outrageously over priced and mediocre! I ordered a Monte Cristo and fries for $23. The side of gravy was $3.50. For that price you would expect a huge sandwich and a tub of gravy. What I got was a Monte with one tiny piece of processed ham and one tiny piece of processed turkey with processed Swiss on huge slices of bread. What an absolute rip off. Also the tiniest side of gravy that was cold! I always like to support locally owned businesses but I wont be going back to Glenns.
Great little place. Nice family restaurant atmosphere . Food was great
Very nice staff and great food
Yummy food. Friendly service.
Yummy place!!!!
Nice family restaurant. Great food, decent portions.
Great food, and quiet. Wheelchair accessibility: Automatic doors, wheelchair accessible curb, accommodating staff. Food : 5/5 |
Wow, first time and definitely be a time. Nice place with quiet booths to enjoy a meal. Not your typical noisy establishment serving food. Tea was spot on and food was even better. Will be back, make sure you give them a try!
Great place, great food, great people. I stop there whenever Im in the area
Great comfortable feeling. Great value.
Such good food and service ! Like to stop on my way home to Calgary !
Our go to spot for tea.
Glenn s has been our favourite breakfast spot for the past 10+ years, it s always great food. But what makes it even better is the staff! Wanda is more often than not our server, and she brings me joy every single time. She is so kind, and it s so comforting seeing a familiar face for weekend brunch :) Kid-friendliness: Large coloring sheets, lots of high chairs and a amazing affordable kid friendly menu :)
Menu has gotten expensive
