Haven t been in years so a dated review, but the wings were phenomenal when I went. Staff were as to be expected for a dive bar in downtown red deer, and the usual regular bar fixtures of alcoholics there from open to close

This place is really fun and amazing truly gives you the wonderful vibes of a local bar that cares about everyone and the food is amazing too. You can find the owner on a regular basis visiting with people making sure things are going good and checking in on how the food is. The servers even when they get busy will always give you the best service and a smile

One week ago, I experienced my very first visit to Murphys Pub. In my opinion, I want to grow old here, LOL ... by that I mean, i want this place to still be here when I retire and can come enjoy a cold mug of beer every single day! It begins with the fun, happy, inviting staff. Makes for an ambiance you feel welcome to relax & enjoy. A great crowd of customers, as well... is what really stands out about this place, the pubs patrons are engaging and fun, they fill the place with laughter. Murphys Pub feels like a place of its own. Add the facts that they offer delicious food, great selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. The beer on tap is served ice cold, which is fantastic. Wings are excellent, juicy and perfectly crispy - I wish I lived closer, Id happily come here for wings night! Their steak bites are perfectly seasoned, tender and delicious too - the side of french fries that come with the dish are a generous serving of, golden light, crispy fries, with a perfectly fluffy potato interior. I really enjoyed the ambiance at this neighborhood pub. My husband and I had a great time during our dinner on a Date Night! Highly recommend

There s definitely a lot of life at this place. I have received my wings 4 mins after ordering them, I don t know whether that s good or bad. They could ve definitely been better.

First time here and the food was super decent/the prices were great. the atmosphere was also very chill and welcoming! Murph (the owner) served our food as well as specifically put on the oilers game for my friend and i, as we were fans and he noticed we were wearing oilers merch! definitely check this place out when you have a chance! :)) Kid-friendliness: Noticed there was a kids menu as well as regular.

When travelling, I do not like to stop at the regular chain of restaurants. I like to find a place that is locally owned and loved by local people because they know about their gem. Murphs fit the bill completely. Great steak sandwich. Reasonable pricing. Superb service. And when mercy found out that we were from out-of-town and were dropping by for the first time he actually came out and spoke to us for a bit. Very welcoming pub atmosphere and great food. Were coming back to try the ribs next. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a strip mall.. Kid-friendliness: This is a pub so adult only.

Always the best food and the best service! So good I had to stop in the middle of my meal to share. The power combo has all you could ever need, steak cooked perfectly, fall off the bone ribs, crispy, spicy shrimp and 2 sides of your liking; I do double asparagus. When Im eating something else I fantasize its this meal. Id give ten stars, but five is the max.

So I go in at 8 pm for wing night. I meet my friend there we find a table and sit down. The waitress never comes to my table. The worst part is shes serving this big table of baseball players. Skips over my table and literally asked the guy in the next table to me if he wants to drink. Then I waved at her and she ignored me. Where I proceeded to go to the bar and ask the bartender if I can order some wings. Clearly upset. After that I waited so long for a server I tried to wave over another server. I literally live in a city thats 10 times the size of this and I get service a heck of a lot faster. So now Im in this bar for nearly 40 minutes with no drink no food. And Im watching this waitress serve all these people around me. After we eat and drink. Finally. Then they just leave the food on my table for 20 minutes. Nobody tries to serve me or help me at all they literally avoided my table I have no clue why. I had to take my own chicken bones and everything and put them onto a different table for them to take it. I was going around saying how good Murphs is to all my friends but today when I go to work I will definitely tell them my experience. I cannot believe the ridiculously bad service that I got last night. I just felt alienated and extremely weird like why would nobody serve me

Had lunch here, ribs and chicken wings are fab. I would recommend keeping music down til drink crowd in late evening. At 60s and up we have a hard time hearing over alot of noise. It was tolerable the other day. Thank you. And as always great food and staff.

I dropped in for a steak sandwich after a bowling event. Wonderful service and reasonable price. Steak was not quite cooked to my liking but I was tended to well. It was tender and tasty and fries were the best I have had. Very impressed. Thanks Murph s. See you again soon. .

Got the steak tips with fries and the steak tips where the dryest steak I ve ever had, almost beef jerky like and the fries where very undercooked and sauggy. Also got the fish n chips and the fish was the grossest smallest thing I ve ever received for fish n chips. It tastes how fish smells. Very upset

An enjoyable Friday evening out at Murphs with the family.Burger and Nachos were excellent.

With everything opening up after lockdown, I decided to give Murphys a try. Great home town bar atmosphere. The beer was cold and frothy and the nachos scrumptious. I would recommend this establishment to anyone!

This place has such great hospitality! A couple weeks ago, I scraped up my leg pretty bad riding a scooter. My friends and I were in the area of Murphs and stopped in for a drink. I asked if they had a first aid kit and the owner not only brought one over, but helped me get my leg fixed up. The bartender was super friendly, drinks were well priced, and any other time Ive been here, the wings are the best Thanks again to the staff!

Their wings are the best in town. Service is awesome. They need to fix their pop machine though - always have to get the good stuff from the Alberts side.

We ve always rated Murphs 5 star because of their chicken wings. But they changed them. We ve been in a couple times since covid and even brought this up to the waitress. Not sure what changed. But the wings pre covid were the best in central AB. Not so much now. Bring back the old crispy ones. New ones are slimy. Still love this place though. Great waitresses and good beers on tap.

Great wings

After searching Skip the Dishes for a bit we landed on Murphy s and decided to give it a try. We where in the mood for simple fair like wings, steak bites and the girlfriend loves her potato skins so that s what we ordered and it arrived super fast and was excellent! We where very happy with the quality of the food and will definitely be hitting up Murphy s again for something more next time.

In the heart of Red Deer, surrounded by dark streets, gambling dens, and protected by a reality impaired banshee with a grudge against public waste receptacles. Sits a rather unassuming pub by the name of Murphs. Named perhaps intentional to help better blend into its unique surroundings, or maybe they just couldnt afford the y on the sign. We may never know. What we do know is that whatever flight impaired birds they use for their wing nights they are indeed delicious. Not to mention the games and entertainment provided within, truly a shock from the camaflouging exterior. If I had one fault to give this place its the popcorn. Specifically, they were cleaning the machine so I didnt get any. Otherwise good!
