We came from Edmonton with friends and ordered food inside. After all of us had already payed, we were told that we could not eat inside because the washroom is broken. Why couldn’t they tell us before? Then, they told use to go outside and eat on the street. The food was not good either. The spicy ginger beef was not spicy at all, didn’t taste ginger, and was over-fried. They need to learn what a customer service looks like. The place is also really messy and dirty

Canton Kitchen has been mine and my family’s go-to Chinese food place for years. The service is always great and the food is yummy. However now their prices are too high and the portions are much smaller. It’s $15 for an order of sweet and sour chicken balls. It is not enough to feed a family of 2 adults and a small toddler. It used to feed 4 adults! It’s almost $2 for piece for a little chunk of chicken in batter, ridiculous.
Best ginger beef around!!!! The portions are tiny for the price! Had the dinner for 2 $40 approx They charge $4 for an item swap even though their the same price. In fact, the swapped item was cheaper, but it is what it is! It's definitely a to go bussiness as the inside is pretty grunge and tiny, however thats where the best food tends to come out of soooo! Everyone was in the kitchen chatting and cooking, so no one knew I was there despite my bell ringing, which caused a 15 min wait! They are friendly enough but the ginger beef and beef and broccoli are definitely worth all the other stuff!
My only gripe is that when I order from here, I eat too much. Their quality is consistent, and they are one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Red Deer. The owners are super friendly. Order the crispy chili oil too. They make it in house.
Nothing was cooked with any seasoning besides salt . It was "good food" but definitely didn't taste like Chinese food unfortunately. Egg rolls seemed freezer burnt and then deep fried and a dinner for 4 had very small portions few peices of meat compared to veggies . Probably wouldn't order again.
Ordered dinner for 2 A and B yesterday and it was the best Chinese food we’ve had in a long time! Fried rice was moist and flavorful, veggies slightly crisp and delicious. Fried items had a good batter and not too much of it. Only complaint was the ginger beef was very skinny and not much of it but tasted very good. Wontons could have used more filling as well. Delivery was only $3. Man that took the order was very friendly. I’d definitely order from Canton Kitchen again!
Best Chinese I've had in Alberta so far being from the maritimes. Chicken balls are best in town, the absolute best General Tao Chicken I've ever had - Actually spicy and not too sweet. Wontons were 100% awesome, beef and broccoli was decent. Only complaint is I couldn't get my chicken fried rice with no Peas.
Food was really tasty but there was a hair in my rice :(

This take out restaurant was highly recommended to us. My wife and I hosted a party of eight. We ordered our Chinese food from this restaurant. The food was very delicious and the price was reasonable. Thanks to the staff. We will definitely order from here again!
Very punctual with good customer service. My family and I have been enjoying their food for years and will continue to do so.
First time ordering from them, and the last. Got the dinner for 2 - swapped out the sweet and sour pork for chicken balls; an extra $9, completely understandable. They just shoved a few chicken balls in my lemon chicken instead of providing me the full serving I paid for; I would have gotten a full serving if I didnt pay and extra $9 to not get pork. Chicken fried rice: chicken was dry, old, and hard. Peas were still frozen. It was not even hot.
The chicken wings were not fresh, over cooked and very dry. The beef and broccoli very soggy. Wont be eating this food again.
Best Cantonese food in red deer. Staff are always very polite and respectful. Regular orders are made quickly and always hot. Recommend ordering a few days early on holidays to give ample time to have it ready for you.

Lost a couple of starts this time Im afraid. Sooo many onions added to the spicy squid that there is many more onions than squid. Also, the fried rice- hard rice kernels throughout still.

Hands down my favorite Chinese food in town. I introduced my fiance to this place and now she wont let me order from anywhere else. Ive been ordering from them for as long as I can remember and I dont think Ive ever had a bad meal. Try the lemon chicken.
I use to love this place. Not anymore. The quality is lacking. I don t mind smaller portions but should be reflected with smaller prices. Under seasoned undercooked.

I have been ordering here for at least 8 years. Had an awful beef chow mein last week, it was so full of gristle that it was inedible. The rotten customer service that I received means I wont be ordering from them again, she argued with me about how nobody else had complained and how they get their meat prepackaged so dont have any clue how much gristle is in it. I ended up wasting 15 minutes with her over a $14 dish. Now I called in to use my credit and she reminded me that I would have to pay the $2 difference. Customers mean zero to this restaurant. Wonton soup was seriously lacking as well.
Very disappointed we have ordered here for years used to be excellent but lately every order gets smaller costs more and the quality goes down today s order was not good at all so disappointed I will definitely be looking for a new go to place
Canton Kitchen is the only place in Red Deer that we will order Chinese food from. The customer service is excellent, prices are very good, delivery time is very reasonable and the food is always always hot and delicious. In the 8 years we have been ordering from them I have never had one complaint. I have recommended Canton Kitchen to many family and friends and they aren t disappointed. The Ginger beef is by far the best.
This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Warning! If you order prawns or seafood, let them know that is what you want, and NOT onion rings. It was terrible.
Food was decent, could have used more volume for the money. Lady behind the counter could act like she actually wanted our business. Showed up and ordered in person.

I have ordered from Canton Kitchen in the past and always been pleased with the portion sizes and the incredible flavours!! This most recent experience tops all of the previous ones. The kitchen absolutely nailed it.
The fried rice seemed old and not fresh. Very little beef in the beef and broccoli. It was okay, but would not order here again.
Food quality is very poor and food is spilled in the take out box. Things where piled on the soy sauce packs that all broke open. Ive noticed the last couple times we have ordered from there the food quality is nowhere near what it used to be. We even found what looked like cut up octopus or squid in our chow mein. The onions in our ginger beef where old and had skin on them still. I dont know whats happened here, but we will not be ordering from Canton Kitchen any more.
We ordered tonight for the first time. The food was so delicious and so fresh! The whole family loved everything we ordered. There are no leftovers at all (normally that doesn t happen). This will definitely be our go to for Chinese food from now on!

Their portions are stupid for their prices. Chicken Chow main came with 7 tiny pieces of chicken two pieces of broccoli and cauliflower each. And what looked like itchiban noodles. Pathetic for the price. Never again

After repeating my order twice (and being interrupted with other questions repeatedly), I was disappointed to receive the wrong order when they delivered.
The price has gone up and the portion sizes have shrunk drastically!

Family owned and operated restaurant, with delivery and takeout options only ( not sit down). The food is always fresh and hot, and their combos offer a few options, which I appreciate. Typically pickup times run about 20 to 25 minutes, which isnt bad if youre ordering last minute.
I had a dinner for one and enjoyed it. Had enough for lunch the next day too.

Gross premises!!!!!! New building but inside a mess. Dry toilet paper stuck to bathrooo door. Cabinet go to 1/2 from floor so you can see mop line. What is under them.
Big portions. A couple of times I had tried before, the food was not bad, but the last time it was a little bland and burnt too. A new guy was there, and Im not sure if they changed owners/cooks...

This place has the most amazing Beef and Broccoli and Ginger Beef I ve ever had. The owners Wai and Paula are very nice and friendly people as well. Not much of an dining room but that s ok. We always order for pick up/delivery:) I recommend Cabton Kitchen to everyone I know.

Awesome experience, even just before close. Arrived quick, service was excellent and friendly, food was hot and fresh and tasty. I wasnt impressed with the BBQ Pork, but thats more a preference thing. Will def order again.

This is my #1 go to for chinese. I find the food fresh and hot and the veggies dont ever taste like fish oil(I found that with some other places) Portions could be a little bigger but otherwise its always been great!

We tried this place. Absolutely terrible. Everything tasted like it was a week old. Just like the ginger beef and sweet and sour pork were carved from a roast. Had to throw most of it away. Would not recommend. Shangrila is way better.
Its so delicious every time. And the portions are awesome sizes! The salty shrimp is our favorite.
Really good Chinese food. Vegetables were cooked perfect still a little crunch. The ginger beef was actually the best i have ever had. I am very impressed with the kitchen!
