Saros Restaurant in Red Deer

I ordered lasagna..never tried this restaurant and I cant stomach the flavor..first time in my life lasagna doesnt taste remotely like lasagna..tastes of burnt cheese..Sourish sauce with an overwhelming taste of cinnamon for some reason ..I cant eat it..tastes so strange with all that cinnamon

Get the bbq ribs and Greek salad. You wont regret it!

Our family doesn t eat out often, but when we do it s always been our favourite pizza place. It has delicious Pizza, Greek salad, and Ravioli with Meatballs to boot! Yum Yum Yum! Thanks for another great experience!

I ordered a large pizza for pickup and was told 30 mins until its ready. Got the pizza, and it was already cold right from when I arrived. I got home and it tasted like a reheated pizza from the day before. It was my 1st and last time there NEVER AGAIN

Med rare 6 Oz steak over cooked an looks like the back was cut off Greek salad with only 3 olives with huge seeds in them also who puts a huge amount of lettus in a Greek salad the best part of the salad was the dressing

We ordered last night I ate cheese toast and chicken caesar salad and I got food poisoning been up all night sick then my fiancé ate the other garlic toast and it had a huge chunk of mould on the bread! Definitely do not recommend it was also expensive for mouldy bread!

Best lasagna in the world. We go here every single time we are in red deer. They never give me the secret of what makes it so good and Ive been trying for years. Can i work there for free one night to find out? My grandmas been to italy and its not as good there.

Ive been coming to Saros since I was three. I came back to Red Deer to see my hometown and see whats changed. Saros is exactly as I remembered it!! The Greek Salad is hands down the best in Red Deer! And the dressing.....nectar of the salad gods! Definitely get the salad. Definitely take a jar of dressing to go. Youll thank me later.

Had the lasagna and mozzarella sticks and they did not disappoint! Never ordered here before and was hesitant but damn their food is good! I live right by here so Ill be stopping in again!

I ve gone to eat here on two different occasions and both times they were closed when their website says it was open. Please update your hours so people know when you are open. I d love to redo my review once I can actually taste your food.

Well Return! Comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices and Excellent Food! My wife and I have been visiting Saros for years, and still make it our go to place for our special occasions.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. We ordered on skip the dishes. Food arrived relatively fast. But literally every single dish was caked in about a half inch of cheese. I like cheese as much as the next person but it seemed a bit excessive in my opinion. Also not totally sure if the pasta is made fresh or not.

This use to be my favorite place for greek salad, however they have downsized the veggies and its mostly lettuce. And only like 5 olives in the entire salad for 2. So disappointing.

We ordered from this place tonight off skip the dish from our hotel room as we have three little kids and didn t want to drag them out to a restaurant. When I placed my order it never gave me the option to give them our room number and I forgot to put it in the comments to the restaurant. I called and asked if they could kindly let the driver know our room number so they new where to go the guy on the phone argued with me and was extremely rude. After a few minutes of banter he finally agreed to let them know. Very disappointing that you would treat your paying customers with such disrespect. Will never eat here again and we come to red deer often as we have family here.

Definitely a good place for lunch. Havent been here for dinner, but Ive heard its just as good. The pizza, baked pasta, and ribs are all good. Other items are good here too, but those ones stand out. The chicken parm and baked spaghetti are faves. Really good service here to; super friendly and attentive. Lots of room for big groups.

Waitress was very polite and patient with us. The food was fantastic and very hot. The cook on the other hand have us the impression that he wanted us to leave asap when we were done eating. Mind you the restaurant was closed and the waitress was still cleaning. So I wonder how good the kitchen was cleaned as the restaurant was just closed.

I have always loved your pizza but this time it tasted sour. Not sure why. Maybe the tomato sauce was different. Dunno. Did not enjoy it

The service was poor, not at the fault of the waitress. But the lack of staff. Im sorry i didnt tip but it was way to expensive for the food recieved. The tatziki was waaaaaay to garlicy and i swear it was either carbonated or sour. Sent it back and i was told it was fine and i just wasnt used to it.. No im not used to eating fermented greek yogurt and dill garlic. Im sorry.The food was nothing special. Chicken was frozen and the veggies were cold. Baked potato was good. Spanikopita was previously frozen and gooey. It was just gross for 56 $..

Ribs, baked spaghetti, salads are all excellent. Prices quite reasonable.

I love their food!!! I have never eaten something I didnt like here. They are a smaller restaurant but busy so there is sometimes a wait but the staff are so personable and great that you dont really mind waiting. Good for a quick bite for lunch or a romantic hidden spot for supper.

Had dinner with 6 friends at Saros on Friday night. We all agreed it was the most boring, overpriced and awful food wed had in a long time! Ive eaten there many times over the years and thought it was O.K. I wont be going back.

My friend and I had the lasagna and chicken souvalaki. Lasagna burnt and chicken was greasy olives rotten, we sent it back! While In the washroom owner came out and told her and I to get out in broken english and not come back! Definitely she said we wont! Being regular for years not good for people scarry attack on seniors! And other people who support this stinky dump! Besides govt employees supporting this place more power to them!

NEVER AGAIN! Work just around the corner and have gone in for both eat in and take out many times in the past. Have found that the food has been steadily going downhill for a few months now. Prices are getting higher and food is getting much worse. Ordered lasagna with extra cheese today, took 40 minutes to get our food and it was burned, cheese was so hard I had to scrape it off and pretty sure I got charged anyway even though I asked her to adjust the bill. The server was just plain rude to us, we did nothing to deserve having her act this way, it wasnt that busy so have no idea why it took so long for our food and why the staff was in such a bad mood but doesnt matter, you dont take your bad day out on your customers!

The pizza here is delicious, but I absolutely adore their ravioli. The servers are awesome; when I come in, they know what I usually have, and I dont even have to really ORDER. Their greek salad is among the best Ive had, and Their ribs are pretty good too.
