My boyfriend ordered samsosa chat and veg spring rolls today from uber. Theres a offer on spring rolls buy one get one free but when we received our order we didnt get another one in that. So we called the restaurant guy he was really really rude to us we were talking kindly and he got mad on us I dont know why ? Just asking for that offer and the taste of both items was disgusting didnt look fresh even .

Tandoor N Flame is an absolute gem in Central Alberta. Having visited in person as well as delivery we have tried a number of dishes and they have all been exceptional. The chef strikes a lovely balance of flavours in every item we have tried. If you order mild, you get that and if you order extra hot, you get just that- awesome! Standouts have been the Lamb Vindaloo, Mattar Mushroom, Coconut naan, Chicken Korma, and the Beef Rogan Josh Curry. They make extraordinary dishes- a world class experience.

Excellent food! So nice to savor delicious, ethnic food when traveling, instead of the usual burgers and frys! The nan bread was out of this world and our lamb and yogurt sauce was amazing! Definitely stop by, you wont regret it! Rather than a variety of TV screens showing different programs, just have one chanell, perhaps Bollywood on all screens as it sets the atmosphere Parking: Ample parking, lots of space.

I am fond of Indian food and have eaten in all well-known desi restaurants in most major cities in the USA and Canada. Curiously, it is Tandoor and Flame restaurant of Red Deer that stands out in all of them. Reason? In Mississauga, for example, you will find the restaurants with pompus names, but their food sucks. This restaurant excels in every thing. The food is authenitc and the taste delicious. My favourite is Biryani and Chicken Karahi. The interior is superb and very tasteful. Both the dining areas and kitchen are very clean. And the chefs are professionally trained. What really impressed me is the fact that the owner never cuts the corner and always uses the first-rate, highest-grade ingredients and grocery to prepare the food. That is why dining there has been such a great experience for me. And I have always enjoyed going there. I also take my guests visiting me from far-off places there too. And they are all praise for it. As a bonus, the owner pleasant personality. He himself reaches out to his customer for a kind talk. He is an affable and genual person to talk to, who likes to help people in other areas too. I fully recommend this restaurant. My only wish is that this restaurant must add more items to its menu such as street food etc. Parking: Several free parking places are available.

I ve been eating at Tandoor N Flame both inside the restaurant and through take out for the better part of a decade. The food, service and experience has never once been less than excellent. Red Deer is extremely fortunate to have an Indian restaurant of this high quality to dine.

A few years since we were here, decided to try it again, and was pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible, and we had a fantastic dinner out. The Peas Pulau rice looks and tastes amazing, and they have possibly the best chana masala Ive had. Vegetarian options: They have a section in the menu dedicated to vegetarian and dairy free options. I am travelling here from Vancouver. I must say the food was fantastic. i ordered their tikka s they were juicy soft and delicious. i highly recommend them. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again! Had to give 4 stars because our menus needed a good wipe and the bathroom was kinda icky. Staff was very very disrespectful never going there. Staff does not know how to do customer service instead he was arguing about everything we were asking for.

First of all, the first impression of this place is disgusting, the women s bathroom was out of service and had to use the men s which was filthy. The utensils were exposed on the counter and the women working there picked up Utensils for our table with her dirty hands. After we finished our food, the waiter asked us if we wanted a box for the left overs, we said no, and he was upset because he told us he doesn t like throwing food away we asked for Kulfi and we got the store bought ones in the freezer with the wrapper. Told the waiter we didn t want that, we wanted fresh ones, he said they don t have it and threw it back in the freezer. Very very rude staff. The container he came with to pick up the dirty dishes was filthy with black mold in the entire container. Gross place to eat, they should definitely go through a thorough inspection of the kitchen .would never go beck there again!!!!

We were really looking forward to a good experience all around, based on previous reviews. However we soon realized after we got there it was not gonna be a good experience the way the server approached us, and I m thinking it was the owner, but not sure. His mannerism was not very friendly. Another server brought our food out and he was not friendly at all, he was very abrupt, and we mentioned our experience with the washroom, and all he said was he is not the owner, and if he was the owner he would not have that problem. We tried to use the restroom and one was completely out of order, and essentially there was another table of large group, all waiting to use one washroom. Washroom was dirty, no toilet paper or paper towels. The food was not that great as was previously mentioned in other reviews. Would not go again.

The food is pretty good when it comes to taste but every time I ve ordered delivery I just get a bowl of sauce with 5 or sometimes even 4 little pieces of chicken in it when I order butter chicken or anything like that ,basically just a big bowl of sauce with hardly anything in it , I don t know if that is just standard for this restaurant but since that always seems to happen i would say it s not really worth it .

We went there with high hopes, but soon we realized it s not gonna be a good experience! The washroom experience was horrible. Women washroom is out since months that we saw from the review and it s still not working. The washroom was filthy and definitely not usable. After that, the owner and waiter had attitude in their speech. The food wasn t up to mark too. Definitely do not recommend the place!!!

Food was not worth the price, if you try other indian restaurants around the city, you will understand why! Ans moreover their buffet food was not at all standard and they use all cheap ingredients for it, you can smell it. Try somewhere else.. save money and taste!

Great experience! We were evacuated from Yellowknife. We were eating junk food for 8 days. But we came to this restaurant even though this restaurant was not on the list. He told us to eat free and not to worry about money. The food was very delicious and the staff attitude was great. Fair price for a good quantity. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends. The Owner has gone out of his way for me when he was not busy to make me something that i liked that is not on menu. This is the Go To Place if you enjoy real quality and good portions. We ordered rice and there was a long hair in our order. They replaced it and no word of a lie the second order also had a hair in it. When I called the owner he accused me of lying. See photos of hair in food below! (it would not let me add photos) I would rate 0/5 if I could. Very rude customer service and the owner told me that he packed the second order himself and there was no way there was a hair in it and to take it up with skip the dishes. It was my friend who scooped out the second order of rice and she saw it. I have literally never made a negative review of a restaurant and I have no established pattern of complaining about hair in my food. What would I lie? To what end? At no point did I even ask the owner of the restaurant for a refund. I just told him so that he would know. A very disturbing experience and I have no idea what else to even say

I ordered Briyani, the total cost is 19.94 including tax. It is super expensive,The food taste is okay. But the quantity is not worth for money and I feel it s low. And there is no raita provided. I asked them, they said it is extra I have to buy. May be other foods better.. I am not sure..

Looks like new owners took over. No lunch buffet at the moment. The waiter guy was not too friendly, and tried to push more food that I didnt need or want. Also his apron didnt look like its been washed in a while and I dont want to be rude but I dont think he showered in a while either. The plate was not clean and there were things stuck on it. The place was renovated and clean but the voices of the guys talking at the other end carried very loudly. Food was fairly good, but I hope I dont get sick. The cook/owner said there are staff shortages everywhere. Maybe they will get their business in order one day.

On the weekend, we all got together, and I ordered chicken biriyani for everyone from this place. The owner was kind and rang me up at the correct time to pick up. Not only did everyone rave about how delicious the biriyani was, but they also claimed it was cooked to perfection.

I ordered delivery. The checkout page did not include any fee for delivery. When I checked out, I got charged a different amount. that included a delivery fee. They charged me a delivery fee, but told the driver that she would have to collect from me. They claim this was a mistake but my driver said they were refusing to pay her and they refused to fix the delivery charge mistake. Also be aware that the tip goes to pay the kitchen staff and does not go to the driver. To be fair, the order page does not say where the tip goes. I agree with other reviewers that the food quality was much poorer for this order.

If you want to eat here.. for the cost.. dine in and get your money worth (that was a joke). I ve dined in and had delivery and both have cost almost 100$ for 2 people with rice, butter chicken , aloo gobi and biryani veg rice. You ll get a quarter of the portion in delivery than you will at dine in and the quality of food is less than sub-par. Be prepared to spend your electrical bill worths in a couple dishes to dine here, long story short. You could find better for cheaper, IMO. Overall: disappointing.

I ordered from here on ubereats. The food was not good for me personally. I got the butter chicken, which only had a small amount of chicken. The gravy tasted like it was premade from a jar. the owner sent me a comment back saying I should order somewhere else and compare quality and quantity. Ive had good indian food before from restaurants and this just wasnt worth it for me both quality and quantity wise. The naans were also a little burnt, making them hard to chew. I.felt like I was biting into chips. Edit: I am simply stating my opinion and not misguiding anyone. If you want authentic Indian food, this place is not for you. There are much better places out there to try from! The owner does not need to attack anyone that leaves a low rating. Just grow up and deal with it. Amazing food and next level customer service! I placed an order through Skip the Dishes and the wrong driver took my order. It was already past dinner time and I had a hungry toddler to feed with no dinner to give him. The restaurant contacted me way before Skip did. And after Skip the Dishes was no help in getting my food, the restaurant took it upon themselves to track down my food and then they delivered it to me personally, free of charge. On top of that, the food was delicious and very well priced. These are the businesses that we need to be supporting right now, and always. This is a business that truly cares about their customers.

This is my go-to spot when I go out for dinner. I bring my friends and clients here because I know the quality is awesome, second only to the kind and courteous service. Thank you for bringing Eastern culture and kindness into the way you serve food. See you soon!

On my way to Edmonton stop at red deer for food at Tandoor N Flame. Food was excellent and customer service was also good.. I will go back to this resturant next time I am in Red deer..

The food we ordered was delicious but I was surprised and disappointed at just how small the portions are. I am a very small eater and I have never eaten a full meal before but easily did with the small portions they serve.

I wish i can gave zero stars to this place , we ordered quite a bit of food & all of it was precooked like a day before ,chicken kabab was same like cooked days before & than reheated & served , first kabab was burnt than sent back & was tolded what s wrong with it than got the kebab again & its same burnt & feels like rubber , even they can t get their salad correct as salad had spoiled green chilli , dal makhni was watery,chilli paneer had old coocked paneer which was just heated & than poured into hot gravy & served Waiter said sorry for the food but the arogant cook won t stop praising himself of how good he cook For his kind information i told him cook a fresh sekh kebab & than cook one of his regular old reheated sekh kebab than eat both feel the difference Stay away from this place it only has indian/punjabi food but not the taste or quality as other restaurants have

We just had amazing food here. Everything was great. Chilli chicken, Kadhai chicken, Dal, Bhartha, Salad, Garlic Naan everything was great. Going by the wordings of the last review, it definitely seems motivated.

Dont go here. Bad service. The restaurant was nearly empty. There were two waiters on staff. We waited about 10 minutes for water then at least another 10 for anyone to check if we were ready to order. They seemed to be much more concerned with skip the dishes orders than customers who were in the restaurant. The waiter apologized profusely but kept up the bad service. The waiter carried water jugs around the place yet no one refilled our water. He brought our plates with his hand covered in curry and left a stain on the napkins and plates, and we had to ask for new plates and cutlery. The next plate I got had the same small curry stain on the edge. The food was decent but not worth the visit.

Great food, Good Service. Very pleased with our meal. Took our left overs home and had for lunch. The butter chicken is delicious with just the right amount of kick. Yumm!

Ive updated this review to reflect my recent experience (takeout) because the buffet is not currently being served (and my review was many years ago). Oct 2021: We ordered takeout last night for my wifes birthday, and everything was AMAZING. We did 5 dishes plus samosas, rice and garlic naan, and everything was delicious and fresh! Quality and quantity were excellent, and even my two kids tried (and enjoyed) everything that we ordered. We all love spicy food, and agreed that ordering everything MEDIUM spicy was plenty hot for us; if you are unsure about how spicy you can handle, then just go with the MILD. Like I said, we LOVE heat.. and medium was great. Weve never had a bad experience with this restaurant (food or service), and really hope that people continue to support them through this difficult time. Theyve also recently setup their own food app for ordering, due to the high percentage that services like Skip and Doordash take off of the top of the bill. Please consider ordering directly from them (or use their app) rather than one of the other services and lets make sure that we can continue to enjoy this great food for many years to come.

I was there on Fri Nov 5th and ordered Lamb Masala and Butter Chicken with Garlic Naans. The taste was amazing - hot and very flavorful. Highly recommend this place. Definitely going back!

I went last week. I walked in and there were rat droppings everywhere. The owner said I bought them with me. I saw the owner wipe down cutlery with his dirty apron. Pretty sure that the owner ordered food from Indian Kitchen and tried to serve it as his own. Dont go here!!!!!! Worst place ever!

We felt welcomed the minute we walked in. Staff explained what certain dishes were and made recommendations what would and wouldnt go with our choices. Food was amazing, portions were perfect and prices were very reasonable. Well be back over and over again

Food was good...but they tried overcharging me. I asked for a receipt and busted them. They charged me for extra items - never going back! Update - I will not be taking my review back for the following reasons: 1.) The cashier did not apologize and looked annoyed that I had caught the mistake. So contrary to your claim below, there was never an apology. This is what annoyed me the most. 2.) Your condescending response. I am not asking for free food. Nor did I order food I didnt want. Im simply asking that your restaurant charge people for the food they have ordered. Nothing more, nothing less. 3.) I am sharing MY experience with the restaurant as individuals are meant to do on this website.

I ordered food from skip the dishes and got stale food with odor. I decided to call the restaurant first instead of putting a complaint on Skip the Dishes. The woman who answered the phone became very agitated on hearing my concerns about the food, and told me it is not her problem that I cannot drive to the restaurant to bring the delivered food back to them. Even when I told her the exact problem in food so that the restaurant doesn t serve it to other customers to prevent anyone from getting sick, she hung up on me. Well, this rating is for her bad customer service, and potentially putting customer s health at risk. After my rating and complaint to skip the dishes they called me twice, but i had already heard enough from this restaurant !!

Had plans for a birthday dinner here but their website or the window display at the actual location was not updated that they were closed for whatever reason. Super disappointed especially because there were alot of customers wanting to dine there but couldnt.

ZERO STAR ALL THE WAY. I ordered food a week ago from SKip and I received burnt roti and bunt gravy. I made an inquiry and after 1 week, the rude owner called me. Instead of addressing the issue, he was talking very rudly. He was adamant to accept what have happened and he asked me to not order from his restaurant. Such a terrible way to treat your customer.
