Everything is perfect. The food is delicious, the staff are nice and full of smile and the atmosphere is so cozy and homey. And Oh, I got free dessert and it was yummy too! So looking forward to come back. However I wish there was size option for tteobboki, so people that havent tried could order smaller portion with cheaper price. First surprise, there was no waiter. Because it is operated as a dessert service, when I first went there, there was no staff to tell me whether I could just sit at the table or if I had to pay to sit. After waiting awkwardly, I asked the staff if it was break time and what to eat while taking a break, sat down at the table, and brought me a menu. Second, the pork cutlet was tasteless. As mentioned above, since we shared a table with customers who only enjoyed desserts, there was no salt or pepper needed to eat the pork cutlet, which was almost without any seasoning. The pork cutlet seasoning on the market seemed to be 10 times more delicious. The amount of sauce was terrible compared to the amount of salad. It was no different from eating raw cabbage. The photos are just nice to look at.

I had an experience eating gyukatsu in Japan and Korea, and their portions of gyu (beef) were really large. I could truly feel like I was eating actual meat. However, here, the gyu was sliced very thin. I hope they serve bigger portions next time so I can enjoy the gyu more.

If you havent went here you should!! We always get the half chicken and cheese and bulgogie fries. At first I was like I am not sure about the fries but now they play my dreams! And dont even get my started on the macaroons.

Probably my wifes and I favorite spot in Red Deer. Prices are reasonable, service is great, the food is absolutely delicious and its absolutely adorable inside. Reminds me of cafés you would find back in Korea, Taiwan, Japan.

Tried the chicken sandwich, not great. Old dried out bun, got excited when I saw 2 cutlets in the burger. Immediately dissapointed that it was thinly sliced thigh meat and mostly breading. Green sauce on it was good, fries are good. Too expensive for a tough thigh meat chicken sandwich. Wont order again. Donuts are killer tho.

Store is poorly run. I worked for 3 hours becausw they were short staffed and was thrown to the wolves pretty much. Its not exactly great when people tell you the whole staff quit in the summer. Servers who take orders should be the ones to deliver food, not the ones who have been sitting behind the counter because thats how orders get screwed up. Not sure the store manager should be a store manager because hes running around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Very delicious baking and lattes. Have had a couple coffee dates with friends here, loved both the iced and the hot matcha lattes. The servers are very enthusiastic and friendly. The baked goods are masterpieces - delightful to the eye and the tastebuds!

Great chicken and fantastic doughnuts

Dinner was okay, I find Korean lacking flavors. My first time trying miso soup, and its not for me. The in store bakery is the highlight of the visit. Fancy donuts, torts, and macaroons. Service was poor. We had to ask them to clear our table. Im not sure if this is a cultural thing, or they just dont like to do it.

Food was excellent but the service was seriously lacking. Waitress mentioned she was new but we had to call for assistance three times (didn t seem to care). No plates were placed prior to food delivery. Had to ask for my drink after it appeared I wasn t going to get what I ordered and when finished had to call over a waitress for clean up and bill payment. Problems that can be managed with training and a more attentive manager.

One cup of rice is never enough for a meal like this!

The donuts are next level!! You eat them and all you can say is Wow!! The most delicious treat. So light and fluffy. They truly live up to the name of Wow donuts!!

After returning from our trip to Korea and missing the food in Seoul, we decided to try this place. The food looks very similar to what we had in Seoul, but the taste is a bit different. The dipping sauces and curry were a little too salty for our liking, and while the shrimp in the tempura was fresh, the crispy shell was thick and slightly over-fried. Despite these minor issues, I still recommend this place as it saves you a 10-hour flight from Calgary to Seoul.

This was my first time experiencing Katsu. I ordered the assorted Katsu which included breaded pork, breaded shrimp and breaded cheese. I had to Google how to eat it as theres alot going on here! The meal was fantastic and for a fried food was not heavy or greasy in any way. I also had a cheesecake which was one of the best I have had. I highly recommend this place.

WOW has always been my go-to place in Red Deer; I ve recommended it to everyone I know and some of the servers at WOW would recognize me for this. Initially, I have left a perfect review for the place. However, our experience tonight changes this. While eating, I felt a hair-like texture and when I pulled it, a strand was entangled with the rice bits. I would ve thought that it was mine if not for it being a different length and color from my hair. I informed another server about this since our original server was doing something. She took the hair that I had already took out from my mouth which I placed in the napkin She asked where it came from, but didn t apologize for it. We heard them informing the staff behind the counter that there was hair and they concluded to give me a new one. Not even in a concerned manner, but just to get it done with. They then brought out a bowl of rice that I did not want to eat anymore. The manager didn t come to apologize except for our male server who brought us a slice of cake for service recovery, my mom told him that we didn t ask for it but he just provided it to us. We accepted it since he was so kind and he was the ONLY ONE who acknowledged what happened :) Upon paying, the rice was still on our bill, and the 100% discounted cake may appear appealing as a compensation, but honestly, it s not something we asked for and we would ve just asked for the rice to be completely off the bill. In the end, it wasn t the $2 bowl of rice that brought us the downfall of this WOW experience, but the acknowledgement of the management with the incident, the lack of concern to customers, and the incompetent problem-solving that took place.

The Katsu here is incredibly juicy and tender -it truly lives rent-free in my head! Its so good that Ive brought friends along to share in the indescribable deliciousness. Youve got to try it!

Cakes, donuts, cookies - all bakery in general are 10 out of 10. I found pizzas and chicken too oily for my taste. Drinks a little too sweet.

If this is going to be a cafe and restaurant- the restaurant staff need to work on their service. We got dinner. One item was completely forgotten and they never checked on us ONCE.. didn t clear our dirty plates even as we left. The food is 10/10 though.

Best Katsu Ive ever had and the atmosphere was amazing. I got the Regular Rosu Katsu and it was very filling. They also have an amazing selection of beautiful donuts, cake and macarons but I was too full to try any. Would definitely come back! Kid-friendliness: Brought my 10 month baby and they had the perfect sized highchair :)

Chicken was super greasy, I did not enjoy my meal at all. Made me feel sick. I would give zero stars if I could.

Mocha chiffon cake is elegant and delicious. This light, airy cake is delicate and packed with flavour. My whole family was very impressed with the looks, taste and quality of this cake. They included candles and cake topper as well which was an amazing added bonus! We will try other items from here!

Excellent food but they dont have the lunch combos anymore. They were so good. Please bring it back. They have similar combos at the dinner time. A bit pricey overall.

Excellent service and food and prices were quite reasonable. It was our first visit and we totally enjoyed it. Food came within 15 minutes. Very tasteful and fresh plus a fairly large helping. After we bought a few pastries and some coffees. The pastries were fresh and had excellent taste. The Americano I had was just right. Will be definitely back!

I did not expect this store because I had already visited Calgary Wow. However, this restaurant is different. The food tasted good, and there was excellent customer service. I wanna visit again

Its a wonderful little find of a restaurant/bakery. The Korean fried foods (Chicken, pork, beef ect) is amazing and you gets lots of it. Then once your done eating that wonderful meal you can also enjoy either cakes and pastries or Gelato as they have well over 15+ different flavors.

I have ordered from here 3 separate times, and all I can say is people need to try this place out! The food is unbelievably delicious. The pastry are better than any other place in Red Deer. The prices are actually reasonable, and given this current inflated economy its very welcomed. Overall, i will continue to be back, at this point almost weekly. I know Im gushing but you just dont see quality to price ratio like this, and in Red Deer of all places. Support this business please!

Nice place

The garlic bread here in the bakery section hits so good. Creamy condensed milk sauce with a hefty amount of garlic. I have yet to try the doughnuts but the macarons are phenomenal and I loved the condensed milk baguette I tried, absolutely delightful place. Can t wait to try more. My only complaint as a bigger girl is the tables and chairs aren t the most accessible so the patio chairs have been a nice touch

This place is great honestly.. food is always great and so is the atmosphere. The only this that bothers me the most is that their tables are so small... that even when me and my boyfriend orders whatever we order the table isnt big. They never check up on you while eating nor when you need to asked for the bill the staff are never available even when they are not busy. Great food but terrible service. That Filipino lady is always loud and noisy overpowering the music that plays in the restaurant.

The food is absolutely amazing. We got two different kind of chicken, and the portions were very generous. Everything is so fresh! The green grape refresher is the best drink Ive ever had in my life. They were extremely busy and still were giving great service. Highly recommended visiting! We will be back many more times to come.

Husband and I came here for lunch hearing so many good things. The seating is lovely looking on to the green space. The menu has some great items to choose from. Hubs chose the Ebi Udon and said the broth was really good. Its a filling soup...comforting. I had one of the lunch specials, Gangchun chicken box. I went with the sweet glaze but it is still a little spicy. Im wimpy when it comes to spice and I could handle it in small doses. The rice and cabbage helped cool things down. It was soooo gooood. Go here, try it, and enjoy!

My first experience with WOW was amazing and delicous. tried ordering Chicken today for lunch for my workplace, YOU DONT HAVE ANY CHICKEN!! How do you have a restaurant with CHICKEN in the name and you are out of it??!!?? This doesnt make any sense! also, we tried to order for delivery apparently, Chicken can not be delivered, it isnt even on the menu. I tried to call to have a menu emailed to me and that wasnt possible. i was referred to a menu that a customer took a picture of on google. I was really excited for this restaurant when it opened, i left my original review up underneath this. Super disappointing to have this happen. dont know if ill be back, it is hard to promote your restaurant to others when you are out of food. The chicken is amazing!! very juicy and crispy at the same time. the little gift shop was interesting to browse thru while waiting for the food to cook. we also had donuts for dessert. they were so good! it is about time Red Deer got a restaurant like this. The only negative i would have about this place is the seating. it is not comfortable at all. food is great though!!

The first time we were here was when it opened the staff was all over the place (but we were patient with them as they were new) when we finally got our order the waitress dipped her finger on my curry when we asked for a new and they said that they will make a new but never did we waited 30mins then we asked about it and thats the only time they did something. The second time we came we ordered 6 breads and apparently you get a free drink but we didnt get any. The third time we came we got bread again and we finally got a free drink and when the lady was explaining to us what drinks we could get she kept pointing out the last 3 drinks which had strawberry latte in it but apparently that is not a part of the free drink and she still continued to point out the drinks on where we could pick and she was still pointing out the 3 drinks and then she started yelling at us while still pointing out the strawberry latte that you cant have. We never got an apology from her for yelling at us. For being a customer base store you should know how to handle stuff and be patient with the customers.

A great addition to the Red Deer food scene! We tried the donuts (vanilla cream, lotus and salted caramel), croissants (chocolate, almond, matcha), the macaron set and other sweets, and everything was fantastic and exceptionally well priced! In addition to the bakery, there is an asian stationary and small goods market, and a korean café. We didnt try any of the savory food, but I can only imagine it is good. Cant wait to come back!

I hate doing reviews on places I ve never actually used, but in a way, this is the reason I m posting the review. I did VISIT this location. That s as far as they let me proceed. This might be a long-ish review, so the tl;dr version is that if the hours of operation are posted, please don t lure people in and somehow be partially closed. I know a lounge will do it, but they re a lounge. They re still serving alcohol in a lounge setting. Better yet, have a free standing Kitchen is closed sign at the entrance so people like me don t blow 10+ minutes on time wasted. I have enough problems with anxiety in poorly laid out chaotic public spaces, so not knowing what the hidden hours are of a place will not go over well with people like me. Now, what earned this two-star review? It s simple. I ve heard so much hype about this place, and I made sure I was hungry when I showed up at 8pm (they close at 9pm). My first impression was that of mild confusion. So it s a hybrid market/bakery/restaurant? Ok, so I guess kind of like Sunterra? This took place on Thursday, February 22. I was quickly confused by where I was supposed to order. The first till you see doesn t really allow for much of a line to start, without cutting off access to the rest of the store. There were around 10-12 people sitting at tables but there were at least half a dozen people scattered around the display case looking in every direction possible. The layout is not conducive to a good work flow. I mean, yes, there are two different till stations, one at each end of a massive display case, which implies two points to order. And being the last hour of the day for them, I understood why one till would be closed. No problem there. My anxiety did start ramping up when people were randomly milling past me both ways while I was trying to read the menu boards. But I briefly stood at the proper till while a girl toiled away at something without making eye contact. I decided to let that go, as maybe she was stuck taking AND making orders. So I took the time to familiarize myself with the menu. I had heard good things about their chicken sandwich, so that s what I was going to order. But it s one of those menus that is on a TV screen and keeps changing, so that created some more anxiety for me. Furthermore, I m not a sequoia as far as physical height is concerned, so given the height of their display case and the fact that they stacked takeout boxes on top of the display case, coupled with how low their menu screens are positioned, it was actually really hard to get a clear view OF the menus. I finally spotted the chicken sandwich on the menu and then started looking around for where I could order. I saw people loitering around near the open till but not standing in line (frankly it felt a bit like chaos to me), but after a moment or two I found myself standing in line to order. 30 seconds or so passed before another employee on my side of the counter approached asking if they could help me or if I had a pickup I was waiting for. I simply said I hadn t ordered anything yet. So she got the girl behind the till to help. I asked about their chicken sandwich, and she said the kitchen was closed. Being someone who does my best to be non-confrontational, I just turned and left. But it was at that point that I fully failed to understand the point of this place. I left with a very heightened sense of anxiety, not helped by the fact that I had just finished work and was hungry. Maybe in a year or two if it s still open, I ll take another run at it.

Best Bulgogi in Town!! We were searching in Google for some korean and japanese restaurants near us and we stumbled upon Wow Store, which we first thought only sells baked goods and donuts. And to our surprise, their food is veryyyyy good! The bulgogi, though an unexpected find in a bakery, impressed us with its tender beef and rich marinade. Paired with rice, it provided a satisfyingly meal. Equally delightful was the katsu curry, featuring crispy breaded cutlets atop a bed of rice, smothered in a flavorful curry sauce. Definitely worth a try, we will surely come back

My first visit was for a lunch with my coworkers. When I walked in, I immediately noticed the calm, clean, relaxing atmosphere with piano music playing in the background. They had a fantastic view from the many windows that overlooked some trees outside. (Perfect for a date night) There were lots of choices on the menu. The portions were large. You definitely wouldnt go hungry! Honestly two people who eat on the lighter side could share a menu item just fine. I took home enough to eat for lunch the next day. They also had some specialty/interesting drinks to choose from. The servers were kind and knowledgeable. You can also buy baking that is individually packaged to enjoy at home that is quite delicious! It is all displayed very nicely with everything clearly labeled. Additionally, they have a few Asian items (toys bags socks pens stickers etc.) that were displayed on shelves and available for purchase. The bathrooms were clean. I went at lunch time on a Saturday and I had to park quite far from the door. Id recommend dropping your passengers off first and looking for a parking spot after. That way not everyone has to walk. I am looking forward to returning with my fiancé! Parking: I had to park quite a far way away from the door. If youre driving with a few people I would drop them off at the door so only the driver has to walk. Wheelchair accessibility: All of the chairs are easily moved. You will have no issues, even if you have a larger wheelchair.

Personally, I was surprised at how poor the service was before even evaluating the taste of the food. Regardless of whether they are Korean or a foreigner, there is not even the usual greeting when a customer comes in. I thought it must have been too busy that day, but I was impressed by the lack of greetings at all during my subsequent visit. There was very little explanation or guidance about the food, and none of the staff tried to help with payment while waiting to pay. The food isnt as good as other places, and there doesnt seem to be any reason to spend money and time on a place where the service is low...

I regret going there expecting a high rating. Considering the unfriendliness of the staff, I felt that proper staff training was not being provided. (I am writing this after my second visit) My kids liked fried rice, so we ordered it, but there was a lot of seasoning that you can buy at the supermarket. It tasted like a cheap store-bought cake. Unlike the Wow Bakery cake I bought in Calgary, it had a very unique (strange) scent and the fruit was all dead. (Its not that its not worth eating. However, the taste and quality are poor compared to the price haha.) Please consider stopping by Red Dare~

when my friends and i went there the service was great and the food was okay. the server was extremely nice and helpful because it was our first time there. she made sure that we got water and my utensils right away. although, it sucked to see the server do everything by herself with no help. it looked like she was attending to all the tables all at once. she wasn t able to refill our water for a while but i completely understood the situation. all the food also came one by one and not all at once, which shouldn t be a big problem if it came relatively close with each other. we got the tteokbeoki first and then our next dish which was the chicken about 10-15 minutes after the tteokbeoki. mind you we had a party of 4. i wish wow all the best because it has so much potential to be a great resutarant/café, its just that the management is a bit substandard.

The server that helped me was named Rina. Her smile was very beautiful and she was very friendly towards me and my group. She was very helpful as problems were quickly and efficiently handled.

Nice place, but they were out of donuts when we went there which was very disappointing because my son and his family told me that they were sooooo good.

I really want to love this place but after a couple of meals and desserts, I dont know we will come back for a third time. It is a lot of fatty food and taste in their cuisines, but surprisingly, the beautiful adorned desserts really lack in flavor. The staff are excellent, and as commented before the environment is warm and inviting and clean. Im just not sold on the menu

Customer service was poor. Servers on dinner time of February 1, 2024 were not even smiling. You wouldnt feel you are welcome to this place. The way orders were presented by the lady servers you could feel they were irritated and dont feel like serving guests. Trying to observe when we were there, you can never hear even a single greeting from any of the staff to all who comes in and leave the place.This is a service oriented business, customer service is one of the main priorities should be. Glasswares were dirty, still with water marks, not even polish to dry. This was my second time here , I thought would have a better experience but again disappointed. First time, service was so slow, it took us 40 minutes for a take out order and wasnt even informed it would take a little longer than usual. While waiting the guy by the till who arranged the coffee cups were holding the cups by the rim, so unsanitary. Team needs more training on most aspects of the operations. During busy periods you could see that they are rattled. Foods are good though.

Me and my family went there for the third time but the food tasted different every visit. We had to wait every time for 40 minutes just to get our food. The King Katsus sauce was too sweet so we decided to just bring the rest home. However nobody ate it. The dishes were also pretty dirty and they didnt clean the tables neatly enough. We would of went there a couple of more times if the food got any better but since it didnt we never went there again. Its also not worth it waiting 40 minutes.

The food here is always so so good and really fresh! My personal favourite is the Bulgogi and i would recommend it to anyone! I ve also tried the Hire Katsu and it IS DELICIOUS!!! It literally melts in your mouth! The environment is always so calming and clean and the staff is always super nice and accommodating! If you re thinking of coming here, definitely do it!!

Super busy during a Friday lunch, the food variety was good although I was unfamiliar with some of it. The bakery part had some delicious desserts, but I was far too full from my meal. There is also a small gift shop with some fun items.

Love this place, great for lunch or dinner. Their Dalgona Latte, donuts and macarons are also amazing!

The taste is just as delicious as other Wow Chicken. However, even though it is still in the early stages of opening, the server service is disappointing. There were a lot of employees and they seemed to be busy, but it was difficult to meet them when I needed them. Also, the bakery, restaurant, and retail products were not well divided into sections, so it looked a bit cluttered compared to the nice interior.

Wilma is great , staff over all 5/5 and the food is amazing!

What appeals to many people about this store is their baked goods, tasty dishes and aesthetic of the cafe. Yes, this *is* a cafe. My sister and I came over to check it out as a first timer and boy does it sell well. The interior is exactly how many of the people posted their photos: modern, clean and simple. There isnt any fancy gimmick behind it, no weird arcade machine, just a good chatting space with savoury food to choose. The food is something that isnt easily achieved and these are done with grace. We grabbed three baked good products and left since we arent focusing on their chicken or cutlets. The donuts (blueberry and lemon) and the macaroons are soft and smooth. More specifically, the donuts have a great flavour and isnt overpowering. The macaroons have a nice crunch to it without making your teeth retaliate or get that one feeling when youre biting aluminum foil. The flavours, of course, are also excellent. Mind the prices however, as they range from $4 to $20 via macaroon set or $40+ for the cake(s). No really, they are that expensive. I wouldnt say this is comparable to Tim Hortons because who would pay $30 for a dozen? WOW store is that type of experience location and, again, it shows. The service, well my sister backed me up here. She got to meet one of her friends working here and let me tell you, Im sure their service is going in the right direction. You can make a macaroon set (of six) your own way and you can experiment with your dishes. Theyll be happy to serve as along as youre the happy and friendly one. [Please dont be rude, you ruin your life that way.] I would give it a 4.7 for the overall rating. P.S. Theres a bunch of Pokemon / Hello Kitty stuff in the store too. Parking: The parking lots are shared with Shiso, so plan ahead. Theyre single slot and dont have a real way of facing a direction. Kid-friendliness: Again, theres some Pokemon stuff that kids could grab. Its a cute hustle that WOW store tells because its saying they are bright and pretty.

I had king katsu here and the tasty was very soft, sweeten and creamy, which I have never experienced. I loved it. This place has the best katsu in Canada, I guarantee.

I am surprised how cozy and amazing this restaurant is. The place is so so clean and relaxing. WOW is a great find! Everyone should try their food and cakes! It really taste amazing. I have been to 4 different provinces in Canada and tried a lot of food all over the place, and honestly I really fell inlove with the food in here. Nice clean atmosphere, great food and service. I like the concept with a little store to buy cute things and their bakery selections, and you can also sit and dine in to eat their delicious food. Their food portion is huge and good price too. Will be going there often.
