Been to many Mikes and this one in red deer was the worst when it came to food ..Order a medium steak after a few bits it was rare couldnt cut thru it ..they send it back got it medium rare and it was thought..salad was ok but nothing to bragg about..service was ok ..

Steak sandwich has been a go to here for a ling time. Today it was so tough could hardly cut it or chew it! Onion rings overdone. Definitley better choices in Red Deer when spending this kind of money

Took my 15 year old son there tonight to celebrate. I ordered the smugglers cove chicken. The chicken was small but very tasty, the scallops... well, I never even knew there was dime size scallops before tonight, you couldnt even taste them. I allowed my son to order whatever he wanted so he picked steak with fries, a lobster tail, garlic toast and mushrooms. The steak was cooked properly, fries were I can only assume from frozen as they had a weird color to them and not crispy at all. The lobster tail was very dry. I have no idea how they cooked it to be that way. Im a single mom, so when I go out for a celebration I want to leave feeling like I got my monies worth. I definitely did not. Its pretty bad when your child rates a steak and lobster dish a 4.5 out of 10. I go to Mr Mikes every couple months, I LOVE their kickass chicken salad. Mr Mikes is a great place to grab a salad, appies or a burger, but definitely should NOT be making anything with seafood. Waitress asked if we needed anything. Never once asks how the meal was. We left feeling unsatisfied and most definitely didnt get our monies worth.

Went here tonight to celebrate a birthday celebration. Our waitress Melodie was amazing. She went over the entire menu highlighting her favs. I couldn t decide so I told her to surprise me. We were also treated to the bruschetta. Best I ve ever had. The manager Bryce also came to our table a few times to see if we were enjoying everything. Great food, great atmosphere and hands down the best waitress and staff experience I ve had in awhile. They couldn t do enough. I will be back again soon. Possibly tomorrow.

Finally tried this restaurant. The steak was tough. Watery mashed potatoes. Veggies were just beans. Poor presentation. Other dishes were also mediocre at best. Extra sauteed onion for $3-4 turned out to be tiny bits of onions. Very disappointing. Im glad we havent eaten here often. I dont understand how they have so many good reviews. Its a holiday and maybe the chef is away and the dishwasher is filling in.

One of my favourites is their Spin Dip, so good. Staff are really good at their jobs every time.

Went for lunch on Fathers day, they did not disappoint.

Unacceptable service walked out! Waiting for our food for 1 hour! had to ask 2 servers and food still wasnt ready! Only 3-5 tables out of 50 tables had customers? Another issue was we made reservations and front host still made us wait 10 minutes to get seated. Ended up going to Keg instead, no reservation, got seated right away and received outstanding steak, food, and service, kids even got free ice cream.

I really like the Mr. Mikes points that I build up and then use them for a meal , appys or beers Kid-friendliness: Food is very good , server was fast and full of info.

Tonight while waiting for our food a man sitting with his family was speaking loudly and rudely about how our son getting upset was annoying and loud he continued to complain about everything as well as complaining about our son three more times. Our son is autistic so this upset my husband and I. Our waitress Kayleah handled it amazingly. She instantly started moving us to another table, apologizing again and again even though it was not her fault. The manager came over to check in and let us know if we needed anything they are there for us. A chef even brought over our food. The food tasted amazing. The staff turned what could have been an awful experience into a great one. They also gave us a gift card upon leaving. Kayleah did a phenomenal job at making us feel welcome. She is so kind and caring at handling situations. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

Fantastic service! Very professional & on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything. Refills on drinks arrived just as we were finishing the first ones. We made a reservation for 545 for Fathers day and arrived a bit early at 535. They were super busy and we had to wait a few minutes, no biggie. They ended up seating us around 550 and took our orders right away. They apologized profusely for the wait and thanked us for the patience AND they gave us free dessert (and it was barely a wait!!). I am so impressed. Delicious food, friendly and attentive service and a great atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

Excellent family dinner out to celebrate some birthdays! Tasty food, accommodating staff and they even had sticky toffee pudding, which is almost the only dessert that hubby eats!! lol

Had a wonderful experience last night with our group of five. Very busy and my meal was wrong and I had to wait. I do understand when it s very busy that things can go wrong. They took off the price of my meal. Which happens very rarely these days. With a sincere apology. The staff were all working hard and management as well. So accepting their error and making things right was greatly appreciated. Food was excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Long wait till we got drinks, steak was mediocre, veggies cooked to death, ratty looking chairs we both spend a night on the toilet . Not for me ever again.

The upgrade to parmesan fries was not really an upgrade at all, just sort of some sprinkling on the top and thats it. Steak left a lot to be desired too, asked for medium rare and it came out medium/well which I dont totally think was the cooks fault considering how thin the cut was its probably nearly impossible to get it anything other than rare or well done when its that size.

Date night at Mr Mikes is always a great choice, ive never had an issue with the service or food. I would recommend the ribeye to anyone whos hungry, its great cut of meat, and the sides are perfectly portioned

Atmosphere is good, service is good, food is low quality. Beer selection isn t what it used to be, did not have the local IPA on tap like they used to. Not worth spending $100 when other restaurants have better quality.

Our family dines at Mr. Mikes (Red Deer) regularly! The food quality and establishment are not only fantastic but consistent, its always been a great experience! But above all of that is the amazing service!! Everyone weve ever encountered has added to the experience... Weve been eating here for years. The food is consistantly excellent and if ever there has been a minor issue, servers and management have always gone above and beyond to make it right. Service has always been pleasant, polite and prompt. Tonight (April 5, 2024) our server Kayleah was outstanding! She was uber-friendly, chatty, and totally on point. It was a fairly full, supper time on Friday, dining room. Our drinks were never empty and the food arrived hot and delicious. It was really nice to be recognized as a regular customer as well. Mr. Mikes is always a good meal, and a good value, but tonights experience was top notch. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Went for supper with a buddy last night. Had the 14oz rib steak. Steak was delicious!!!! Cooked exactly how I asked. Couple points to ponder ...cook baked potato a bit longer...parts were hard. Miniscule amount of carrots/broccoli. A delightful lady came by to pick up our plates and cutlery. Friendly, Happy and turned out to be the manager we had a GREAT chat with her!! Btw...those plates might look classy in black but they take a lot away from the presentation of the cow parts! Go back to the old knives too....again...perception is everything. quality food/quality dinnerware. BUT!!!..... The amazing service from Kayleah far exceeded any food/dinnerware criticisms. She was attentive, genuine, fun, humorous, efficient and made the evening out a 12/10 experience. I would return just to be her customer!! I can cook a great steak and potato, but she made the whole visit the kind of dining experience people go out for!!

Stopped here for dinner on our way home and was disappointed with the stuffed mushrooms in an escargot plate and no spoons to scoop up the mushrooms, and the burger I ordered was char burnt not char broiled

Went for a wind-up dinner and had a fabulous waitress her name was Kayleah She was always making sure we were happy and she was super friendly, keep her around for sure!

Food was good but service was very slow to non existant. Several customers that arrived after us had their food long before we did, (different server). Coffee cup was empty for a long time even though our food had not been served. When meal was completed our server was not seen in our corner of the resturant but continued serving other areas in the resturant. Not an impressive visit.

All I could think when I saw the food come out was wow! When the smell hit me, I was hooked from the get-go. I started with some potato soup, which was cheesy, creamy and delicious. What really took my breath away was the Shrimpin Sirloin. I highly recommend this dish, the shrimp tasted so fresh and the steak was absolutely to die for! So savory and tender. I had some onion rings on the side which were a bit oily but good. Speaking of sides, thier double stuffed potato is quite good aswell, very creamy and delicious. For dessert, we had some of the Rocky Mointain Madness Cake and the Uber Brownie. Both were EXPLODING whith chocolatey goodness and were so rich. I definitely loved the pecan crust on the ice cream, its a twist on a good old fashioned dessert that really works well. Our waitress, Jaydie (Excuse me if I misspelled that), was just lovely. She brought everything we asked for quickly. She was kind, warm and efficient. They are quite pricey, but youll know where that extra money goes with every bite - its extremely worth it and I highly recommend visiting for dinner. Vegetarian options: Every burger on the menu is interchangeable with a plant-based patty. They even have a few specifically vegetarian options, like the Fun Guy Burger. Kid-friendliness: I didnt have any kids food, but the children behind me were having some meals that looked just as great as the full-sized meals. This is rare for restaurants nowadays.

Went to lunch and wasn t overly busy but yet they crammed all customers in one area (besides one larger table at the back) So it was hard to hear the people at our own table over everyone around us. Ordered food and drinks - but when food came out they substituted garlic bread instead of the naan bread that was labeled on the menu. server didn t say anything when we order (naan bread was a big reason for ordering that meal-) do not like garlic bread and there was no choice given when we order, and the server that brought out food was a bit rude don t know if you were told but we are out of naan so here s garlic bread no asking if it was ok or anything. Just left. Broccoli was also uneatable rubbery waste of greenery on a plate. No offering of refills on drinks (or asking if we wanted something else to drink, I get not everyplace does free refills) Other meals at the table were ok but greatly overpriced for the small portions

Food is just amazing here, when I m here for work, it s my go to spot to sit down and relax and have an amazing dinner. Burgers are on point. Compliments to the chefs.

My daughter and I went out for a belated birthday supper for my 50th on Saturday February 10th after some unpleasant happenings with my now former relationship. Our server, I wish I could remember her name, was amazing. I had ordered a sangria with red wine, but it came with white wine instead. She took it off of the bill, which she didnt really have to since I did drink it. Then after telling her it was my belated birthday supper and some of what ruined the night that I was supposed to have my birthday supper, she brought us a dessert on the house and on the to go container she wrote Happy Birthday! When we got back to where we are staying and opened the to go container she had also put a candle in the piece of cake. Thank you so much to our server and all rest of the staff for making our evening so wonderful!

I am currently in working in red deer and decided to stop in for dinner. I waited over 7 minutes for someone to even greet me. As I was hungry and wanted to eat I left and chose a different restaurant. Disappointed at the lack of service. Especially when you have a sign Please wait to be seated.

Worst experience I have ever had. Went for my birthday, not only food arrived cold, but our waitre turned into waitress; kept checking on the progress of us eating (note: it wasnt busy at all inside) started taking my food an drink away as I was still eating/ drinking them. We ordered beef barley soup. Had to send it back as it was horrible tasting. We tried the broccoli cheddar soup. It was better. It was served with a side of garlic toast. Ordered a coffee and my bill was $19.16. Pretty pricey if you ask me. Guess I should have ate at home.

Liberty was behind the bar when I came in, and she happily helped my find a drink off the drink menu that I was able to enjoy. I don t normally drink so I really appreciated someone going through the options with me and finding something I could enjoy!

Atmosphere was typical for a Friday dinner. The greeting was great and the waitress was exceptional. Food was great! Vegetarian options: Some great salad choices with or without salmon chicken or steak.

I really liked this place. Open terrace and very interesting menu. I ordered a salad from the menu and didnt know it was spicy. I dont like spicy. when the waitress came, I said that this was my choice and unfortunately I didn t like it, I ll come next time and try something else. She offered to replace the salad, but I already had to go. She didnt count the salad. I was very impressed with the service, I did not expect this and I even felt uncomfortable because I ate a little. 10/10 The atmosphere is amazing, the terrace is very nice. Erin has a delightful sense of humour, she is able to redirect and keep the conversation going while maintaining professionalism both towards us as customers and her employer. Our order was perfect, fast, and delicious as always. Only negative we ever have here is the music is loud.

My last review was not necessarily complimentary but due to a shortage of staff. This time we had an AWESOME hostess named Erin from New Zealand who made our visit and service spectacular, food was awesome and definitely would recommend.

I went with my daughter on fathers at 2 in the afternoon and the restaurant was less than half full! I asked the waitress if we could be seared and she said unless you have a reservation no! I asked her why not since the restaurant was a quarter full but she said no reservations no service! I m totally disappointed seeing it was my first time there!

On a rainy day such as today I was hoping for a big comfort bowl of pasta however no gluten free noodles. Most other restaurants have this very basic substitution and most sauces made with flour can be made with corn starch. Just a suggestion!! Had the steak today instead and was amazing nonetheless. Friendly staff and didn t wait long for lunch!! Still a win! Sad day to be a celiac pasta lover.. Dietary restrictions: Would like to see gluten free pasta introduced for us pasta lovers. Catelli has many options and locally available.

I had an great time at Mr.Mikes! Chandra (our server) was amazing. She was funny and very personable and had great recommendations! She recommended the bruschetta and it was AWESOME.

Overall a good experience. However our food was slow.

Used to be our go to place for when we went out, but since they ve redone portion sizes. You get half the food compared to a year ago. Now we come here maybe twice a year just to enjoy the warm sticky toffee cake, least till they change it.

Best restaurant in Red Deer. The waitress we had was phenomenal, She is one of the best ones we had. The Burbon burger was perfect. Everyone at our large table had a great time.

Service was good but food was not. If this was our first experience with a Mr Mikes restaurant we would never visit one again.

Typically I get pictures of the food at restaurants but today I was distracted from that by the service we received. Everything was amazing!! The food was delicious! The best part of the experience though was being able to enjoy a meal with our 2 pups on the patio. They each enjoyed a slice of bacon and they were given a doggy water dish with the cutest little drawing on it. Everyone was smitten with the puppies and the pups loved the experience. What a wonderful way to socialize the pups!! Thank you for the awesome experience today!! Id give 1000 stars if I could

I come here super often its my favorite place the staff is always extremely friendly and the food is always good.

Sunday evening of Thanksgiving weekend. Short staffed, but they couldn t have treated us better. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated but our food arrived quickly and was delicious. After we paid, our server Blake gave us a $25 gift card for the inconvenience of having to wait . Thanks to him and the hostess whose name we didn t get, we had a great evening out.

I took my family for dinner at Mr. Mike s and it made me wonder why I don t go more often. The food was excellent and the service was amazing!

Tonight we were served by Kaleigh and what an absolute amazing server. As someone who has spend 15+ years in the serving industry, i have to say she is an amazing, intelligent, interactive server. She was 10/10 and made sure we always had what we needed. We will be back because of her alone. The food was fantastic as well. But i was pleasantly surprised and what a great way to end a weekend. Thank you Mr. mikes and a huge shout out to Kaleigh. Sorry if i spelt your name incorrectly girl, i just wanted to let you know your amazing and we really enjoyed our night as a family of 8 tonight.

I can only assume this place is a front for organized crime. Drove from out of town, decided to grab a quick bite to eat before going out. Stopped here. The place was maybe at 40% occupancy. Empty tables as far as the eye could see. Hostess informed us it would be a 20 minute wait so the kitchen did not get backed up . I can understand holding tables during rush, but I don t get it. We left and went next door to the Keg. No wait and got in promptly.

Liberty was awesome really looked after us. We had 2 boys celebrating their birthdays and she hooked them up with a free dessert complete with a candle in each one.

We went for dinner tonight and got a nice surprise from Mr and Mrs Claus. The service from Liberty was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great.

Came here after rebels game for drinks and appetizers. Blake was awesome food was perfect as always. Always great atmosphere every time I come here.

Shout Out to Mr. MIkes from the Team at Kal Tire on 67th! This year we chose to have our 2023 staff Christmas dinner at Mr. Mikes. The food was amazing... the atmosphere was great & the service by Angelica was very accommodating and next-level (hope she sees this - thank you Angelica!). Would totally do this again in a heartbeat. Great job & Thank You Mr. Mikes!

Service was pretty good, stir fry was what youd expect. Would certainly go back!
