salmon was over cooked but they took off the bill. slow service.

The place isnt handicap friendly in the lounge at all. the food is sub par and the prices if I didnt have to attend an event I wouldnt ever spend money here. Only pluss was the kind manager and servers.

Went to the bar solo to have an appetizer and a few beers and watch the hockey game. Austin, the bartender, was very courteous and outgoing, and definitely made the experience of dining alone alot better. It was a super casual and welcoming atmosphere! He made sure I had everything I needed and was taken care of. I will return because of the customer service alone! PS The Bang Bang shrimp was amazing! Thank you so much!

The place was so dark that one lady had to use her phone flashlight to read the menu. The overhead music was too loud, making conversation impossible. The food was edible but not great. Service was okay.

We went on a Sunday night, so it was kind of slow. But the ambiance and food and service were excellent. We got the spicy tuna poke bowl and French dip. Got a side of dill dip, which was creamy and delicious.

Yesterday our whole soccer team along with parents were in Red Deer for provincials, we booked reservations at this location. They had asked us to pre order as we were a group of 45. Which ended up being the best thing. Our food was out about 15 minutes after we got there. We had drinks. The food was fresh and delicious! The staff were absolutely fantastic with the players and their families! I would 100% book here again if our team finds ourselves in Red Deer again!

Went for Valentine supper my husband got box potatoes with his steak and asparagus, and I had the truffle shrimp rigatoni And got fake bacon on it when I got real bacon on my salad. It s really not worth going out anymore you re not getting your value for your money. If you want real potatoes, just eat at home.

We had a really bad experience here the first time, today it was night and day, manager responded well in email and invited us back, and TOTTALLY REDEEMED THEMSELVES.

The best way to describe eating at state and main (any location) is meh. I ve been to so many of your locations all over Alberta and the experience is the same. A very generic restaurant to visit when everywhere else is busy.

Wing Wednesday Nothing spectacular service was good, wings slightly undercooked . Menu is tired, needs updating.. same old.

Steak was really good I normally get medium and was a bit rare for me but due to it being such high quality beef it was still really good. Highly recommend.

Was there right at noon on a weekday, sat right away, service was quick. I had a chicken burger with dill fries, was tasty.

Well the only good part was the service ower waitress was very nice and understanding. Now the rest Girl friends crispy chicken buger was flat....like they pounded that chicken to the thickness of a sheet of paper NO Joke. My grilled cheese buger was soggy like the bread was wet, and the buger had no flavor at all the. Why were they scared to season the meat. Also, we had seen the waitress talking to the manager, but she never came over to see what was wrong. So, I dont know if those are complaints that often happen or she just didnt care It was my 1st time eating there, and I will never be eating there again. disappointed would be an understatement.

Looking for a Bite in Red deer on the north side is sometimes difficult, but we found this one just off the highway great food pretzel bites were just what I needed, a good assortment of local craft beer, great meal variety burgers to butter chicken. Service was quick and friendly, I liked the option for two sides and healthy options with my burger, ginger cilantro coleslaw was great.

Overall everything was ok. Service was better when the restaurant was busy and as it slowed down, how often the server made it to the table also slowed down.

I ordered delivery through skip the dishes and they forgot my FOCKING MAC AND CHEESE . Im peeved beyond comprehension you have no idea how much I was looking forward to this amazing culinary experience Im sure you could imagine my dismay when I look and see my girlfriends enchiladas sitting on my front door step and there is NO MAC AND CHEESE I m throughly upset Day Ruined Soul Crushed Heart Empty food here is good otherwise really just needed to air my frustration with my current Mac and Cheeseless situation

Went here during the week. Was half capacity so not very busy. To start off my beer was flat and weird flavour, couldnt drink it. Got such a bad taste that ordered water instead. They were real nice and took it off the bill. When my burger arrived, the bottom bun was totally soggy. Didnt want to wait again, so told the server that Id peel it off and eat without that part. Yah, a burger with half a bun. The thing that got me was they didnt even seem surprised, care, offer something else. Needless to say, wont be back there for a while.

Its an okay place to go. The food has gone downhill. They need to start taking more Pride in theyre cooking skills

We have been going there forever. They had one of the best burgers in town. The last time the burger tasted like spam or a strange taste.Hmmm. Well a few months went by and I thought they must be back with there good burgers they always made. Well not. Both of us thought they were made of spam. The bun has not very good also. It was lunch time and only 2 others there. Others must already no it has slid a lot. They charge way to much and the beers are so costly. We live very close but a short drive is worth it. Until I here Stait and Main has improved from others and y the prices become affordable good buy.

We just had an awesome take-out meal. I had the French Dip, which was very good and my daughter had the Baha Brussel Sprouts as well as the chicken fingers. She reported the brussel sprouts to be very good and not bitter at all. Thank you S & M!

Everytime I visit I have the best experience. From Management to the Hostess you get the best service and the friendliest atmosphere. The bar tenders are all very skilled making your signature drinks, and they have a great selection of beers on tap. The menu loaded with excellent choices sometimes hard to decide, but you can never go wrong with the Main Burger! And during happy hour it s the best deal in town!

Kalee, & the enchiladas are my fav! All staff does a great job working together and its visually very clean/well kept every time we go.

Edit 2022/01/20: We went back today and everything was FANTASTIC! We knew this place was our favourite for a reason. :) We usually have a great time at state and main and have been back many times. We went today for our anniversary and the food was great but service wasnt. After we got our entrees, we waited about half an hour without seeing or hearing from our waitress, or any others. We ended up leaving our payment on the table and heading out.

Every steak Ive ordered from this place has been cooked perfectly and I eat here quite often. The wings are great as well. Ita q great place to go on wing night or any time your favorite sports team is playing. They have plenty of tvs showing a variety of things at any given time.

Rice bowl was excellent

The patio is beautiful, with curtains for privacy from the parking lot and lights strung from the top. The food and service were incredible! I had a Thai lemongrass chicken noodle salad, and it was phenomenal. I also had a state mint drink, which was very delicious as well. The atmosphere was really nice, will definitely be back again.

Great service. I miss the bruschetta, french onion soup, and black forest martini. Steak was under seasoned and medium rare instead of medium. But everything else was great. The dragon boat lettuce wraps are amazing I wish I could.make them at home.

MIL in hospital wanted Mac and cheese and I was on a mission to get her it. Called state & main and The lady on the phone was amazing. Helped me placing order (needed to adjust the order Etc). When FIL went to pick up he couldn t park anywhere and they once again took my call and ran it out to him. Lovely to deal with. I was probably annoying AF. But the girl on the phone was an absolute pleasure. Wish I had left a bigger tip on the order. If the food tastes half as good as the service it will still be amazing. Lol MIL reported back it was DELICIOUS!

Wings night was good though they had few varieties ( just 5). Place was full around 5.45pm when I was there. Good environment and it didnt take too long to get my wings.

This is my go to place on any occasion to enjoy the consistently awesome food and atmosphere! The service is great and friendly, especially Parker the rad bartender. Sit at the bar and enjoy his stash and wit! The food is always delicious and when looking for value no where else compares. Entrees come with TWO sides and the lettuce wraps already come with chicken-no ridiculous upcharge to add it. Til next time state!

I come in on Wednesday nights after church with a big group of at least 20 people. We all hang out and all order on different bills. We stay almost till closing the workers are so kind and understanding organized and friendly . It s clean and quick even with all those people. I love it so much it s one of my favourite places in town.

I really like State & Main. Ive been there many times since it opened. The staff is friendly and efficient. The drinks usually come quickly, as well as the appetizers. The food has always been good, I dont know if Ive ever had anything that wasnt good. They have excellent wings and are $0.49 on Wednesdays. One of the best things Ive ever had there was the fish tacos. Overall I would have to say its one of my favorite restaurants.

The patio was very windy, had poor coverage/ blocking from wind. There were 3 heaters that were out of propane by 7pm, when we requested to have them filled or exchanged to get the heaters running our server stated, they only get filled once a day. It was 6 degrees outside that evening. Poor service and bad attitude by our server. Food was good, but very cold due to the weather.

Great food. Terrific service. One of our go to places around town. We have been there many times and its always enjoyable. We have frequently ordered through Skip during the pandemic and the food is just as good. However today I wanted to order for pickup since I was alone. I didnt want to create an account with yet another password but, sadly, they dont answer the phone. McDonalds it is.

Go big or go home!! That is the key to getting any decent table service at State and Main Kitchen & Bar in Easthill Centre. We live in the area and this used to be the hotspot, always full of happy and hungry people having a great time. The last 3 times we have been there, all different nights of the week, once we have been seated and served our initial order we suddenly turn invisible to the staff. The last night we went the place was half empty and no shortage of staff. The focus seems to be large groups, not couples looking to enjoy a nice evening out. I always ask for them to leave a menu as a hint that I may be ordering more food than the initial order but it doesnt seem to matter as they never come back until we are done eating and they want their money. It is too bad the service is so bad here as the food is pretty good and the decor is very welcoming. We probably wont be back until the sevice gets better, not holding my breathe for that to happen though.

Visited for the first time in 4 years, the service was great at the bar and the food was fast as well as fresh.

We order from State and Main often. Great food, wish they had not replaced the salmon burger, but the pistachio crusted salmon with honey glaze is pretty tasty. I love the Spanako flat bread and the sweet potato fries with chipotle dip or dill dip is great. I also really like the jalapeño mashed potatoes with gravy. Fish and chips are also tasty. I almost always get takeout but the few times I ve eaten in the service is excellent.

This is my go to place for dinner with friends or on a date! I love there long island ice teas and the appys. Its a great atmosphere if it isnt packed. They have tv screens in case you want to watch the game. Im only giving it 4 stars as Im not a big fan of there main course meals and they are pricey.

Love this location, the food and atmosphere. Our favourite place to go when we are treating ourselves to a meal out.

Extremely busy Saturday at 6:30 pm. (Good to see during these times) We did get seated. The restaurant well prepared to deal with covid. They did an excellent job physical distancing tables. As well as using plexiglass to create barriers. Anyhow, food was excellent. I had the fish and chips with dill sauce (highly recommended)

State & Main is one of the better alternatives to fast food in Red Deer. The atmosphere and food quality is better than in its sister restaurants, Original Joes and Blanco Cantina (RIP Elephant & Castle, we miss you). Our server last night was excellent.
