Hands down a great place to eat ! Delicious menu, unique drinks , our waitress was wonderful . Price was reasonable and definitely cheaper than comparable establishments.

Ordered a couple bowls, fish and chips, flatbread, and the beef dip for a a family birthday. Picked it up right on time. The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the flatbread was missing from the order. When we called back, one of the staff quickly resolved the issue and drove over to bring us the missed item and even included a brownie. Amazing service! Will definitely order here again. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch here today. I ordered the crunchy chicken burger. I wish I had taken a picture of the pitiful piece of dried out chicken... if I had to measure it was about 1/8 inch thick and cooked to rubber. I couldnt and wouldnt eat it. If your going to charge me over $20 for a chicken burger, I better get one with chicken in it. Settled for a poutine that had 8 cheese curds in it.(shakes head). I dont mind paying a good dollar for food, but I better get the food... Very sad as Ive ate here a couple times previously with no issues...

I stopped in on my way home from work today and Sean at the bar gave me a good laugh. He s always personable and is always great at making you feel at home. Every time I come in it s tough to sit anywhere but the bar when he s working. (Drinks are good too)

The foods have very much flavour! The cost is strong!

Food was excellent for our group. The waitress was friendly and recommended a different side due to my allergy and it was very good. Vegetarian options: The veggie burger was a decent black bean burger. I am not a fan of beyond meat or similar, so a bonus in my opinion. The waitress was also thoughtful to check I wasnt vegan due to the dairy in the burger. Dietary restrictions: They were very diligent with my allergy and let me know the fries were cooked in the same equipment as my allergen and suggested a suitable replacement.

Normally I LOVE coming here for the pistachio salmon. It is always delectable and filling. Today was an off day, it happens, can t be perfect all the time! It appeared under cooked. But WOW did my server and manager go out of their way to make it right. They comped my meal and I still left with a great dinner! They truly care about service and satisfaction here!

We had a really bad experience here the first time, today it was night and day, manager responded well in email and invited us back, and TOTTALLY REDEEMED THEMSELVES.

My favourite place to eat In red deer by far! The food is amazing and always comes out fresh looking! The service is great as well. This place is always busy! But what can you expect from a top notch restaurant. It s like original joes on steroids! So good that there s two of them is red deer! There drink menu is decent and there old fashionds are to die for! It s worth the wait for seating!

I ordered the the truffle and shrimp rigatoni when it arrived there was 1/2 of oil in bowl that over powered the taste of the dish. When I sent it back the sever agreed that it wasn t normal and she would remove it from the bill when I got the bill it wasn t removed I asked her why not and she said that there was nothing she could do.

Went for first time. Food was good. Could be a bit more to choose from on menu! Service wasn t the fastest.

Great food and good place to go after a hard day work

Came in for an evening beverage, our server, Kaitlyn, was incredibly personable and attentive~ she had a handle on the whole room while still giving each table admirable attention. Ask for Kaitlyns section next time you visit this location.

Weve been going here for years now, always in a group of 15 to 40 and theyre always ready for us and provide wonderful service.

First time in this restaurant, my son and I drove in from out of town to have lunch with a friend. We all had great meals, specifically the Chicken Enchiladas for me. Luckily for me our server Krista concurs that cilantro is the real devils lettuce and asked if I wanted it without. No cilantro for the win! Had the State and Main Blonde Lager as well. Great meals, super friendly and attentive staff, clean tables and facilities. Reasonably priced menu as well. Will definitely return.

Service person was super nice. The burgers were garbage no taste the cheese tasted terrible and it was plastic cheese!!!!! The starter pretzle things were all salt and the dip tasted like hot dog water. Table was clean though. Wouldnt recommend for food. But the bartender could pour a beer..

Wow. What a beautiful and welcoming place. Our first time there and, even though it was quite busy, our experience was fantastic. Our server was great and the atmosphere was upbeat and energetic. The only reason I scored the food as a 4 is because I was disappointed in the bison burger. It seemed really small and did not have the greatest presentation. The rest of the meal was very well made and tasted excellent

Lunch on a Monday, service was very good. I had the fish and chips. The fish was very good, flakey and not too much batter. The fries has a pepper spice on them and it was almost a little too much by the end. Good atmosphere, as the area is still n development the parking can be a little sketchy.

Not bad food, happy hour drinks and menu are awesome. Nice mid range option Upgraded to 4 * because my gf reminded me that thier valentines day event was very pleasant. Also forgot to mention that they have a wide selection of flavours and garnishes that are perfect for virgin cocktails and they were able to provide my girlfriend with very low-cost non-alcoholic cocktails which greatly elevated her experience.

Well let me tell you, we usually have pretty good service so I m not sure if they re working short staff or not but wow! One girl deadheading the flowers while a family of 4 got up and left after not receiving service in a short period of time. And our waitress, not only would I appreciate her putting a bra on, but cheer up please!! And maybe a little less attitude please and thank you. I know some days can get you down but when your tip depends not only on your service! Just saying. hope the table of old guys appreciate your bra less attitude for a tip.

My steak was great, my buddys burger was meh, he had a better burger next day at an airport Chilis. Good vibe inside though, good beers.

My fiancé and I come here minimum 2x a month. It s our go to restaurant. Amazing drinks, we love the old fashioned s. Tonight was the exception. My steak wasn t medium rare, I didn t say anything even though it was medium. However our server Joanna was too busy talking to the other server and the bartender to serve us on a Monday night during a snow storm and a restaurant 3/4 empty. We wanted dessert, she didn t come back to check on us. My fiancé attempted 2x to wave at her to flag her down. Got up to leave and she came to get us the cheque. We mentioned we wanted to order more food we got the fake oh I m sorry guys apology which we both knew was fake. Disappointed since we re there often and have brought tables of friends, parties of 8 people. We ve had amazing service in the past, but after tonight, not sure if we ll come back. We were at the keg and had not only the server but the manager check on us and for a comparative price point it makes us wonder.

Great experience love love love State and Main and will continue to come. It was me and my husbands 5 year anniversary and we came (first of this month) there just the two of us. I had a very sweet server. My biggest complaint was how I got sat. Who ever the hostess was, was very snarky. She had sat us at a dirty table and when we asked her about it, and she gave us complete disrespect. She told me that s she s pretty sure she wiped it and rolled her eyes at me. Definitely will come back but that little girl had an attitude.

Called to see if this location was open since the other one wasn t. Not sure if he said his name was Dylan (I called around 6:57), but he proceeded to tell me it s closed due to a staff party. When I asked if he meant both locations he just hung up on me. Great customer service

Treated well. Excellent seasonal vegetable (broccollini). Steak was medium of the road, I realize I now need to say rare because medium rare is the new medium. Red ale on tap is a pass. Low carbonation, best description would be insipid. Needed hops and malt. Needed something better than Fat Burger and it did not disappoint. As I said good staff.

Not What It Once Was! I understand that the costs of food & staffing have increased over the past few months, but when the portion size is reduced and the prices have increase, thats pretty much a slap in the face to the customer. As long as I can remember, State & Main always had two sides with handhelds, not any more. Extra charge for a thimble of gravy, dried up tastless Crispy Chicken Burger. It appears the bottom line has become all that matters here. Probably the last of my money that they will see. Two stars instead of the one that the food deserved because the service was OK

Loved the food here! Nice relaxing atmosphere, but more upscale than your usual restaurant. Fish and chips was great and the enchiladas were excellent. The service was really top notch. We will definitely eat here again when in town!

Very disappointed. I recommended my son try these as I d had such a great experience at State & Main in Airdrie. But received small over cooked chicken tenders and missing an order of French fries from Red Deer. Will not recommend again.

First time visiting this place. Friendly staff and the food was pretty good. The calamari was great. I also had the chicken burger. Very tasty but crispy chicken was over cooked a bit (dark brown), but still good. My spouse had the main burger. It was also good. The fries are excellent. I would eat here again, and maybe try the steak.

3 stars for this one reason: I have eaten there the last couple years, and I have to say the portions have gone down while the prices have gone up. The service as always is fantastic and food taste great.

Our 2 orders of Enchiladas were amazing; tons of flavours and great presentation. Main burger was good. Rest of the experience not so much. Appetizers are a complete cash grab; calamari is more vegetable filler than anything, spinach/artichoke dip is maybe 1/3 of an inch in a small skillet pan, only some tortilla chips with it. Chicken burger was a let down; nothing spicy about it and it used to be a nice size of chicken breast, now a thin bit of meat. All these things tasted the same-like unflavoured panko. Service was sub par; watch the interac machine, as it starts with the highest amount option 1st for tip (23%) Used to be our go to place but not anymore!!

(Good with allergies) Anyone with allergies knows most restaurants will say to come in and they will accommodate but most cant make a different meal because it was prepped only in the morning or they are short staffed in kitchen. This was not my experience here, not only do the waitresses have an easy time of figuring out what foods may or may not contain your allergens, (they understand to check sauces and sides + seasoning!) but they also offered to make a meal from scratch because the menu item contained my allergy in it. The food wasnt plain or dry it actually tasted good! (I cant count how many times I have been fed plain unseasoned chicken, that was bone dry and charred black) but I had options to choose from! All the drinks and food my groups has ordered they have very much thoroughly enjoyed. Rarely do I feel like I can eat with my friends or family and enjoy myself, I plan to keep coming back and are appreciate to have these guys around. Dietary restrictions: Good with allergies! Can actually accommodate customers with allergies commonly found in food and wait staff seemed to be trained to know how to check.

Absolutely fanfreakingtabulous! Excellent customer service, waitress was super nice and friendly! Was there for my Birthday Lupper (Combination of lunch/supper) this afternoon! The menu is small but that is awesome, hence the perfection of the meal! We had truffle parmesean crisps OMGGOODNESS to die for and my friend had the Butterchicken bowl she loved it she said it had a nice little spice to it and I had the haddock n chips! Beautifully lightly battered in a beer batter that was so light and crispy perfectly cooked! The chips were so tasty and crisp beautifully seasoned and gravy was delicious, amazing coleslaw! Then the waitress informs us there is a free desert due to it being my Birthday...well Trixie was all in on that lol even though we were so full and extremely pleased alrealy we gave in and oredered the dirt pie...OMGoodness sooooo scrumpdillicious but even splitting it between us, neither could finish it and I had already had the remainder of my Lupper in a carry out container. I am a super picky eater but Im telling you this has been my favorite Restaurant in all of Red Deer to eat! I highly recommend it even if they have a specialty of some kind of brussel sprouts on the menu! lol Thank you to our servers and to all the staff keep up the fantabulous job!

came here tonight and waited half an hour and no one even came by to ask us what we would like to drink, let alone acknowledged us at our table. we were seated immediately and it wasn t busy at all! never been ignored like that before. won t be returning to this location.

Walked in at 2:15 today there was two of us, sat at the bar hoping to get a quick beer. Three servers passed us and didn t even say a word. we sat for 10 minutes and decided to walk out. Both of us being bartenders/servers this is absolutely ridiculous, you might want to at least acknowledge your customers next time!

Great friendly knowledgeable staff. They went to the kitchen for direct answers when they didnt know specifically the answer I was looking for. Good location off hiway 2, allowed me to skip the busy gasoline Alley.

Many dirty tables when we came in. Had to choose a table we didnt want just because it was clean.
