Sushi Ta Ke in Red Deer

Lunch special was good price and very tasty.

We had the dinner Bento box. Good selection, and a perfect amount of food. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Best sushi restaurant in Red Deer, BY FAR. They have this deep fried cheesecake dessert with ice cream (green tea or mango). Incredible! The sushi is beautiful and yummy. The service is great.

We live in Edmonton and we passed by Red Deer on the way to Calgary. Had the most delicious lunch here. We tried the roll combo, bento box, and teriyaki chicken, everything was delicious and we finished everything on the plate! (I was full but wanted to keep eating haha.) Parking was easy for Sat lunch, kid-friendly. Highly recommend!

we placed an order for take out... the order was so-so.... the sushi is not very tasty.... there are no sushi sticks, no soup spoons... the whole order is spicy... even (sweet) seaweed - spicy...Chicken Katsu....20$...20.....$ are you serious?? there is only breading and hot sauce, almost no chicken... rice... half raw and completely tasteless.... no napkins either, we eat with our hands.... order for $100 (approximately) and they put 2 small packets of sauce ... are you serious? Its a pity that I cant give a -1 rating....

This restaurant has only been open in Red Deer a little over a month. It has THE BEST customer service Ive ever experienced, and THE BEST sushi Ive ever experienced! It is so fresh, and so well prepared I could eat there every day and never get sick of it. The restaurant is small and homey giving a very warm and welcoming vibe. 10/10 definitely recommend!!

Some of the best Japanese food we have eaten. Cozy, clean, comfortable - great place to meet up with friends to share time together. Friendly, warm, personal service.

PROS: Food is fresh, delicious and quick. Menu has many options and is organized clearly with lots of photos. Service is great, everyone was kind and smiling. The waitress was very attentive. The establishment is clean and designed in a light, fresh sort of vibe. Price is great, you will leave with a full belly and feeling no financial regrets! CONS: The building is on the smaller side, could see this place packing up pretty quickly during busy hours. Sitting close to the middle/ doors could have you a little chilly while eating with the way the entrance is built and the amount of people walking in/ out for food pick up and to be seated.

We are from Calgary and were visiting family in Red Deer after Christmas. We ordered 225 pieces of sushi and rolls and it was worth every penny. AMAZING food! Recommend this place 100%. We wish this restaurant was located in Calgary. Nothing in Calgary compares.

Their vegetarian options for sushi are the best in town! Their kamikaze veggie roll is my absolute favorite! Highly recommend!

This is our go-to sushi place in Red Deer. The quality is so worth it. It s a smaller dining space with lovely staff. Bento boxes will leave you full and happy, at a great price with great options. We love the miso soup, creamy spicy prawn tempura, and every roll we have had is great. The tempura is light and cooked perfectly, not oily and soggy like other places. Ingredients are always fresh and made to order. Astounded that it s not more busy when we are there. We want to keep it all to our selves, but if you love good sushi, you should go here. Vegetarian options: Lots of good veggie options, avocado roll, yam roll, veggie futomaki and veggie tempura and inari are all awesome! Dietary restrictions: Lists GF and veggie options on the menu, and staff is knowledgeable about food. I m always confident I ll get what I need when I ask.

By far my favorite sushi place in red deer and I ve tried them all. I get the lunch bento regularly, but also love the TNT rolls, BC roll, caterpillar, etc. Their miso soup is consistently great, and tempura is light and crispy. Sushi Take has a great atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and my kids love it here as well!

Always my go/to for sushi even the take out is phenomenal. Fav dish is the creamy spicy mango tempura prawn its a must when ordering from here

Great experience at Sushi Ta Ke, the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We were able to walk in and seat ourselves wherever wed like. A friend and I shared a roll party platter and each roll was just as delicious. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Order off the menu in bulk. 90 minutes seating time. Very good hot and cold food. Cook your own steak and shrimp on a hot rock and if it cools, staff will bring another one.

Everything was delicious; Green Tea, Gyoza, California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and Dynamite Roll were some of the best we have ever had. The TNT Roll was something new and is our new favorite. Great cozy atmosphere and friendly and attentive server. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back.

Lovely little spot in an underwhelming strip mall. Service was super friendly, great selection, fresh fare, never felt rushed. We extended our stay in Red Deer for long enough to go back for lunch. The sushi pizza was my favourite. So happy they survived the pandemic. Delicious again.

Came to try the cheezy dragon roll and it was delicious! It s my new go to roll when I crave sushi. Thanks Sushi Ta Ke! And a big thanks to the really nice server.

A wide variety of food to choose from, fast service (it wasnt busy when I went), and a friendly atmosphere. Its neat, tidy, and jewelled with an elegant, cultural style. The lucky cat greeting was also very cute!

Best sushi in Red Deer! Very cute restaurant, great ambience and decor, felt like the sushi restaurants we would frequent when we lived in Vancouver. The food was delicious. TNT rolls are a must have and the deep fried cheesecake with mango ice cream was divine.

Ive eaten here a few times including when they were in Blackfalds. Overall, pretty good food and good service. Portions are a bit small and big eaters like me might leave a bit hungry.

Friendly service, with good selection of food to choose from. All the items I ordered were very tasty. I went in an hour before they closed, so we were still eating alittle after closing time and they never tried rush us out so I truly appreciated that they let us enjoy our meal at our own pace.

Not worth the price. I guess the first thing to mention is they should list the ingredients that they put the most items in first. The spicy tuna roll should be called the tempura crumb roll, very little tuna and texture of tuna not great. Dynamite roll was okay but out of the 8 pieces, one had no prawn in it at all and another a slight sliver. Spider roll was pretty good. The Gyosa was not as moist as I am accustomed to for a dumpling but at least the price corresponded to the quality on that. Overall, not what I am used to in sushi restaurants.

Had Rainbow rolls, dynamite rolls and gyoza, they were all fantastic!! The sashimi was fresh and buttery. Compared to Vancouver sushi places, this one ranks way up there!!Will try eat in next time.

It isnt just the warmed Saki speaking when I say Sushi TaKe it is reasonably priced, fresh sushi and a very sweet accomodating server. We tried 4 sushi rolls, all of which we would order again. Were a bit worried about the large empty parking lot during the day,...BUT they have a brisk take out business and do even have casual dine in too. Im a big fan of sushi and this one is close to a 4, but I left some room to go back and see if consistency is there.

Service was poor and found plastic in my food.

The best sushi in Red Deer & easily comparable to the best sushi you can get in Calgary or Edmonton (and lets be honest people, its all coming off the same truck so dont get all uppity about how it isnt possible). These guys used to be located in Blackfalds and are now absolutely worth the drive into Red Deer. Sushi is quality, portions are fantastic and the prices are reasonable. The folks that own Sushi Ta Ke are absolute gems. Weve always had amazing service, and they remember our order and friends who recently went have said the same. Blackfalds loss is Red Deers gain and if youre not eating here youre missing out.

Ive been going to this sushi restaurant since it was open in blackfalds. I was upset when I thought they closed down but I recently had found they relocated in red deer. As far as sushi places go, this is one of the best ones. The maki is absolutely delicious with a lot of variety. The service is very quick as well and the staff are friendly. It is better than shiso or momo in my opinion.

Food: The quality is good! I had the sashimi and yam tempura. The fish wasnt fishy and has a nice texture. The yam tempura was perfectly cooked. My friend had their Bento box and she was racing about it as well. As for the food selection, it had more than enough to give you a selection of what to get in a typical sushi place without it being overwhelming. Interior: It has a smaller space compared to the other sushi restaurant nearby. However, it doesnt feel cramped and makes a bit more intimate setting instead of a food hall. Service: They were fast and friendly. It was my first time there and my server was very helpful and patient with my indecisiveness (there was a lot of good food in the menu). Location: Its in a good place since its close to the mall and hotel. Theres also lots of parking so it isnt a pain to get to the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place.

THIS is the the place to go for sushi, Ive had sushis from coast to coast and nothing is coming close to this place, the food is fresh, the owners are amazing the rice is always perfectly cooked and the attention to detail is amazing ! The effort placed in the making and display of the food is outstanding. I recommend this place to everyone ! I also recommend you try the TNT and big boss ! You wont regret !

The best sushi in all province ! They are in Red Deer and they are amazing.

Staff is doing a great job wearing masks and the restaurant is laid out in a way to promote social distance! Sushi is delicious, as is the green tea. The star of the show was the chicken Katsu! Theyre the only restaurant in central Alberta where you can get katsu, I wish there was a pork option instead of only chicken and I wish the salad was the traditional shredded cabbage, but other than that the katsu was crispy and wonderful. Our server was absolutely amazing, she was fun and attentive and she did a great job! Well definitely be coming back.
