This is a staple in Red Deer. It has been consistent over the years as a top dining place with fantastic food and atmosphere. I enjoyed my tenderloin with a great glass of Malbec. I have come many times over the years and have always enjoyed my experience. I would say this last time the service was not to par with the price paid and I ended up leaving without trying dessert because I waited too long to be served. I was sitting at the bar and there were 5 servers congregation at the other end of the bar almost the entire time I was there. Otherwise the food was excellent and the atmosphere great.
What a great place to go. Food was fantastic and our server Caitlin was excellent. She was very professional and polite, and right on top of everything never missed a beat. The mini beef wellington was so good. Steaks perfectly cooked and the skillet cherry pie...wow!
Usually love going here but had an unpleasant experience last visit. Appetizer came out 10 mins after ordering which was great. However, our entree came out an hour and fifteen minutes after. For example, our glass of water with ice almost fully melted. 1) The mini beef wellingtons were well done 2) The pasta was cold and the bread wasn't as toasted I know it's a Friday night but it's a shame to have such a lovely crew of servers then have subpar kitchen staff.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary there. The food was good. Overall I think we over spent as it was expense pretty expensive. Without all the little add ons it would be a Lot more reasonable. Excuse the photos being late after I already stated to eat. Lol It looked so good I couldn't help myself I forgot to take the pictures first. The add ons were about 21 bucks a plate on top of the cost of the steak so a suggestion would be not to do the ad ons if you want your supper to be a bit more reasonably priced. The food was good tho. Enjoy your experience here. Good higher end restaurant.
First off I apologize for forgetting to take a picture before I started eating it! We had the scallops and pork for an appetizer. Expensive IMHO. Was really delicious. But shouldn't be the cost of a meal elsewhere? I had the 10 oz sirloin w the Neptune option. Steak was awesome! Done to my liking. The Neptune part cost 15 bucks but was not worth it in the least.(IMHO) My wife had the huge prawns add on for the same and was really good. Still 15 bucks more. But the prawns were huge! Was odd there was no sauce for the prawns or even melted butter. She also had the sirloin but 8oz. Which really is plenty. In the pictures you can see the little bowls, they were full of bacon bits, sour creme, green onion, and real butter. They are very generous on these which is really nice. They only have garlic mash & twice baked potato for options. The twice baked was really tasty and like I said tons of butter I added. The side of vegetables was carrots and red peppers with onions, this apparently changes. It also was tasty. The service was really good. Our waitress was a good combo of attentiveness and privacy time. There are other menu options besides what we had that looked more reasonably priced. But it was our 40th anniversary so I was trying to not be so frugal. With a bottle of wine it was $239 which when compared to the keg for the same meal is expensive.( my opinion) Over all though a great place. The food options are good and I'm sure the cost can Be more reasonable with other options. Many of our friends/family go here all the time and speak highly of the place. It was our first time here but I'm looking forward to having a regular meal here again. The place is always busy it seems so that speaks of a faithful and active following.
Went for their Tuesday date night with my bestie and this was our second time. The food in general has no wow factor. but their mash potatoes were really nice and creamy. Their desert is 10/10. The crème brûlée and the lemon parfait were amazing. The team could be a bit more friendly. It’ll definitely encourage people to come back again.
The ambience is very inviting for a meal.our server - Airi was very knowledgeable and helpful with the dishes. We ordered the french onion soup, caprese salad, and 16oz prime rib. The onion soup was too salty to be eaten. I told Airi about it and she didn’t even offer a replacement for it. The caprese salad was ok. And the steak was good on it own. We were definitely disappointed with the restaurant given the high merits and recommendation from our friends about it. Ps. Forgot to take photos of the salad and steak.
One Eleven Grill is a great vibe in the Old Brew Plaza Building in West Park of Red Deer. Access is through what seems to be the back of the building. At first, I wasn't even sure I could find the place. But when I stepped through the doors I discovered a cool dark vintage and expansive space. The service here was ok. Knowledgeable and helpful. Not overly friendly. The food was generous and tasted great. Highly recommend this slot if you're looking for something more upscale in Red Deer. 4 x 🥩🥩🥩🥩
Best place in the city, hands down. Patrick and his team are delivering an excellent experience, and do so consistently, which is tricky in the food service business. Brilliant; well done. Thanks.
We always have a great experience at One Eleven Grill. I highly recommend the rack of lamb. Ive had it a few times here and I love it! Five stars! Food : 5/5
We held our Christmas party at One 11 Grill last night. From the moment we walked in the door it was fantastic. The service was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were perfect. This is a fantastic restaurant with an excellent team! Thank you so much for the experience.
Had a double date here on a friday. Live music was great. Service top notch and the food and drinks were steller. Will be back for sure
Wow!! This place was amazing we had our staff party there Saturday night. The server we had she was so fun and friendly. Made sure our drinks were always full and we never had to ask for anything. The atmosphere and food were 5 stars. Highly highly recommend this place.
Came here for appys and drinks. Really good selection of cocktails, the bruschetta was tasty and the service and atmosphere was A+. Definitely check this place out. Update: came here for Tuesday date night. You get wine, an appy, 2 entrees and a dessert for $100. It was delicious. Good vibes and good service. Will be back for date night again
Food is one of the best in red deer. A touch on the expensive side but worth it. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free
Probably standing tall as one of the best restaurants in Red Deer. Love coming here and the changing seasonal menus. I recommend the beef. Or mini wellingtons to hit a home run. I generally avoid seafood because.. lets be honest. Your in Alberta. Get the beef or some top notch past here and be happy. Will be back here. Many times
Tossed salad was brown limp lettuce and 2 slices of over ripe cucumber they were actually soggy and the burger was bathed in sauce and so salty it was not eatable
Went on a Friday. They fit us in and delivered with great service and amazing food. They gave us two salads on the house to make up for the wait time which was well worth the wait. The rack of lamb was so tender and delicious it exploded with flavour in my mouth. The dates 3 pepper chicken Alfredo was equally delicious. A great sized meal too. 10/10 would dine here again.
Great place and delicious food We had awesome time there on Tuesday Date Night)))
Weve been three times now, 2 on date night (Tuesday) and 1 on Valentines Day. Valentines Day the first time was 2 stars. Date night the second visit was phenomenal all around. The second time we went for date night, we had a similar experience to the first visit on Valentines Day. We understand that Valentines Day and date nights may be busy. But if this is our experience every time we would suggest more staff in the areas that are causing slower service. (We waited 25 minutes for our cocktail once seated and ordered immediately.) Overall the food was fantastic, the beef rib was moist and delicious and flavorful. It was an extremely large portion which was perfect for my husband. We appreciate that the date night menu rotates through different options. I had the salmon this time and it was different (it was slightly sweet with a nut sugar topping) but well cooked (medium) and rice and veggies were well seasoned. We were seated at the tables in front of the booths, it feels like these tables were an afterthought and they sure feel cramped when the servers are rushing by you during your dinner. I wouldnt say this makes for a very romantic dinner.
What an incredible evening with our family, we were 14 and everyone truly loved their supper with a fantastic 3 course menu! The varieties was excellent! Thanks to Patrick the owner for suggesting great wines to pair our food! Great atmosphere and music! A memorable evening at One Eleven!
Thank you so much for Tuesday date nights!
Fantastic staff! Irie was great, and her colleagues at the front and in the bar were part of a wonderful team. Food was huge and fantastic. Great vibe. Other patrons also super nice. Food : 5/5
Its definitely a real hidden gen within Red Deer. The service was a bit slow but the staff is super friendly. Well worth the visit.
Was here Nov 9 2024 with friends. I ordered the squash salad with steak and got the beet salad but the food took so long to arrive I didnt say anything. This was my third time here, the last being 2022 and I felt that service was definitely poorer this visit. The mens bathroom was also a problem with only one stall that worked, resulting in a long line up. For the $$ spent I thought they could do better
Made a reservation Nov 9 and specifically asked for a table by the jazz performers as that was the whole reason for my visit. When I arrived there was a mixup and the hostess gave my table to someone else so I was seated at the back of the restaurant without an apology. The service was extremely slow and our entrees took an hour to arrive after being ordered. Given the hostile responses the owner puts on this site for non five star reviews I dont expect anything less for posting this but I do expect more from a restaurant that is supposed to be higher end.
For some reason its very popular but streaks, ribs, etc have always disappointed me. Im not sure if I keep picking the wrong items on the menu but Ive never felt the food was worth the price. Its packed even on weeknights for some reason but I wonder if its just conspicuous consumption with people thinking if its expensive, it must be good. Decorations and services are very good but where it matters most for me, i.e red meat, it was mediocre.
Edit Nov 2024 Gave this place another try, but sadly, the steaks are still disappointing they scream Sysco or some other bargain supplier. Who in their right mind thinks a 1/2 Flap Steak Ribeye (10 oz) is restaurant-quality? It s on par with those roadside vans selling 10 Ribeye steaks for $50. I get it you ve got to cover the rent but serving subpar meat like this is a hard no. Clearly, people aren t coming here for the food. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is great, but that only goes so far when you call yourself a Steak House when the steak belongs in a bargain bin. ------------------------------------------ Dont know what the hype is about. I know you gotta make a dollar. But the quality wasnt there in my steak. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.
Amazing experience. Food amazing, service amazing !
Went here last night and it was amazing. Live music was great too.
Not impressed with the food. Was seated at a very small table that hardly accommodated one appy a salad and one entree. Most likely will not return. Food
Our favourite date spot and the food is always amazing!
Terrible food for the price
Aroosha Was hands down one of the best servers I ve ever had and I never write restaurant reviews but she was an absolutely beautiful person and a wonderful server.
One of our favourite places to eat! Went for an excellent anniversary dinner and it was delicious. Get the skillet of mushrooms as an add on, those are always good. Lots of (craft) beers on tap. Prepare to go home with leftovers because you will end up ordering too much!
If you like steak that costs $5.00 a bite, soggy vegetables, and one scoop of mashed potatoes, this is your place! The waitress was really quite nice, and the entertainment was good, but be prepared to speak loudly in order to hear your dinner companions. Dietary restrictions: They do have GF selections.
everything was good, except for the cutlery and the seafood
So went husband just ate here and the food was decent. BUT I ordered a salad, and holy moly 2 jumbo shrimp for an additional $13.00 WOW I wasn t warned either. We also had the beef Wellington was asked if I wanted a side I assumed it was included, but $3.00 for fries and $4.00 for a gravy. That s crazy. My fault for assuming I guess. With the ripped seats and dark atmosphere I would have expected more. Unfortunately I will not be back.
Took my dad here for his birthday dinner, his choice as he had liked before. But we won t be returning as our experience this time was one of the worst dining experiences we ve ever had, (McDonald s included). We had a reservation, and even a confirmation that we had the reservation, but when we showed up they couldn t find it. They eventually said they found it under the phone number and said you re still okay with the patio? We did not book the patio, it was an evening at the end of September and very cold. Instead of apologizing for messing up the reservation, they suggested that is what we reserved and no other seats were available. Honestly didn t even know they had a patio, and certainly did not book the patio. We were the ONLY people they put on patio, as it was fall and way too cold to be on the patio in the evening. That was unfortunately one of many issues that night. Service was really slow on the patio as we were the only people out there, due to the messed up reservation, so we got forgotten a bit out there. When we finally got to order we were informed what 3/5 of us wanted to order was sold out 10 minutes ago while we waited for our order to be taken while forgotten on the patio. This was upsetting. Fast forward to TWO HOURS on the cold patio at 8:30 pm on a fall evening, we finally got our food. The cooked carrots were rock hard and one meal was missing a chicken breast that was ordered two hours prior. Their response was sorry for the miscommunication there was no miscommunication, the chicken was ordered, we all heard it, it was a mistake and not given. We were given 10% off the bill for this terrible dining experience, which is something, but certainly not adequate for the number of mistakes to make such a poor doing experience at what is supposed to be one of red deers best restaurants- and priced as such. There was no accountability for any of these mistakes, which would have gone a long way. Very disappointed with the experience, especially on a special occasion. We will not be returning.
Worst service I have had in my life by a long shot.
Went with a big party- mostly everyone loved their steaks but beware if you order the 10 oz ribeye instead of the 14. The 14 oz is perfect and thick, while the 10 oz steak I got was paper thin , overcooked and fattier than a bad sandwich.
Amazing food great service hidden gem in red deer!
We went to One Eleven Grill tonight for my birthday. The food was amazing, the waitress very knowledgable and kind, and the entertainment was terrific! My husband had the lamb and I had the salmon. Both were delicious! Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible
Fantastic!! Highly recommend and we will definitely go back again. The mini beef wellington appetizer was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, the steak was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were excellent (try the Kissed by a Rose Martini), and service was wonderful.
Very good restaurant, I had a Cajun and poblano corn salad. It was just spicy and well garnished. The wine list is excellent too. A wide variety of privately imported wine. I recommend you go take a look.
My favourite place; the food is excellent, the music is the best, drinks are great. Bring back the brunch boards or I ll cry. Food
Service was amazing, would give six stars if I could. I was looked after extremely well, couldnt ask for more. Drink was as well, though $14 for a two shot cocktail to me is a bit high. Food was subpar. Steak asked for mid rare, flirting on the rare side. One side was mostly mid rare, the other a heavy medium. Twice baked potato... Skin was so hard I could barely carve through it, worried I may chip a tooth. Under a heat lamp too long perhaps? Seasonal veggies were okay. For a single entree, one drink $70 experience, definitely not the heaven I was told to expect
We were a group of 11 on August 31 for my great nephew s 18th birthday. Our server was Phoebe and she was on top of everything the entire time we were there. She wasn t over present and she wasn t under present, she just gave top-notch service to our table, which wasn t her only one. I had a New York steak and I received it exactly as ordered. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The mushrooms were awesome! The baked potato was great, but the vegetables were not impressive. Our thanks to Phoebe and the kitchen staff for doing it right.
Our friends The Charms were booked in to play in the lounge so my wife and I decided why not and drove the 4 hrs up. They sent a pdf menu and was very intrigued Our servers name was Irera(spelling sorry) was simply fantastic. Takes pride in her work and shows astout professionalism. We ordered Drunken Mussels, and Beef Bugogi skewers. Simply fantastic For mains wife was already full but had to try the Saffron and Shrimp pasta and was not disappointed. Easily one of the top 5 meals I have ever eaten in my global travels. The ownership has developed an amazing team. Was it expensive? I dont know, the night before had some apps that they threw in the deep fryer and cost 90, here had several apps, a main and some drinks for 120, however food was made from scratch and you can taste the difference and I will pay for that all day long Highly recommend
Tuesday night date night special is a great deal and a nice night out.
We had a family get together in the private dinning room and the room was perfect for our group. Everyone enjoyed the meals and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Phoebe was a great server, pleasant and very accommodating. We would highly recommend One Eleven Grill.
Couldnt be more excited to go back to One Eleven. The service from Brooke was absolutely hands down the best. Shes an absolute gem. The food is always outstanding and the atmosphere on the weekends is phenomenal. Great Job Everyone
Food was wonderful and service was amazing
Service was excellent, steaks bland and bacon wrapping overwhelmed any steak spice, lemon dessert was amazing but all chocolate desserts burned on bottom and sides. Overpriced for food quality.
Had a great dining experience at One Eleven Grill last night. From the moment we were greeted to the end our meal, the staff and food was excellent. Charlie (sp?) our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Our table was bussed efficiently but didnt make it feel like they were rushing us out either. Overall a wonderful night and will definitely be returning. Love supporting another small, local business!
We thought we would go for a nicer family dinner. Made a reservation and drove 40 minutes out of our way to specifically go here. My son, spouse and I sat on the patio for 35 minutes without being served. No offer of water, watching newer tables around us being served. It was warm outside and we clearly weren t being prioritized, so we ended up leaving and grabbing burgers on the drive back home. Disappointing after looking at their menu selection for the past half hour.
Always worth the trip
Been here several times and have never ever had a complaint. The food is absolutely yummy, service is excellent and the establishment is very nice. Always recommend this place!!!
We went here a week ago after heating many good things about. The steak was improperly cooked and lacked in any plating appearance. The rack of lamb was much better prepared but again looked plain on the plate. We expected better for $50 per person after all the hype. Our server was pleasant, prompt and not too over present. The restaurant is dark and dingy on the lower level where we sat. We are unlikely to return or recommend.
Absolutely would recommend!!! Charlyn was our server today she was an absolute gem, she made suggestions of the meal options. She knows her stuff. My husband and I went out for our ten year anniversary we made reservations for 715 and we arrived early we were seated right away. The food was astounding, we ordered the surf and turf for 2 and left with half the meal because the meal was gigantic. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. We ordered rissoto as both the husband and I have never had it and we didnt care for it as it wasnt our thing and when we were asked we mentioned that it didnt suit our fancy and our amazing server had it complemented for us which she didnt have to do. We were also gifted a dessert for our anniversary. The entertainment tonight was great as well didnt catch his name but a very wide selection of music so it made for a great atmosphere. The options that are listed for food to try does not begin to share all the options so I will have to say the red pepper spinach dip was so phenomenal I wish I had room for more because I definitely would have taken some home. Will definitely go back for the whole experience again. Thank you to all the staff who made out anniversary one to remember!!
I took my uncle and aunt out here for supper bcuz of the great food and friendly waitresses!
I have the lobster bruscetta
I am sitting here in the restaurant completely sated after yet another incredible meal here. I have NEVER had a bad experience. Also, the live music corner, the phone book sized wine menu, the delish craft cocktails, and pleasant service makes this a must visit for everyone. Its THE perfect spot for a nice casual brunch, OR as an amazing way to celebrate a life milestone.
Food is fantastic, went for their date night menu on a Tuesday and it was a great selection for the price. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Even though we werent drinking mixed drinks, we enjoyed watching the bartender mixing the multiple different cocktails. The only downside was we wanted to watch the Oilers game and unless we wanted to sit at the bar it was impossible to see the screen without a light hanging in front of it lol obviously its not a sports bar, so it didnt ruin our evening but we didnt stick around for the 3rd period and instead went home to watch.
Darren is hands down the best bartender/server we have ever had. He was so knowledgeable about the food and alcohol! His customer service was 10/10! We will be back Thursdays for oysters and drinks !!!!
Really enjoy the atmosphere, food and drinks here. Great place for a date night, business lunch or taking the kids. Costco also has gift cards on sale if I remeber correctly its $80 for $100 gifts cards. Definitely recommend One Eleven and we will be back.
Stopped in for lunch with the family while driving through the city. We ordered pretty basic pub food meals. Service was fast and friendly and the food was good and the prices were excellent. We would definitely stop in again.
Overpriced and gross, don t go here
Had dinner here today me and my wife..everything was great except the $60 steak..it was cooked perfectly to a medium rare but it had no taste ..it was a super bland ribeye.
I had the Quinoa Power Bowl (gluten free) but I added grilled chicken. That was really really good! So many flavors and I paired it with a local Cream Ale: Alpenglow Cream Ale from Screaming Retriever brewing company. See my empty beer glass? It was really good.
Here for a birthday dinner for my son. We totally indulged in the surf and turf board for two. Server was outstanding. Attentive but not in your face, friendly funny, and kind, she felt perfect for the scene. Ribeye on the surf and turf was done to perfection. Im from the west coast so I was very happy when the meal came out. Its what youd expect, over the top and a huge indulgence. Flashy and delicious! Scallops we seared and mouthwatering, crab was melt in your mouth, tiger prawns huge and meaty and the lobster was precisely what youd expect. Loved both the sides we chose. Mashed potatoes were savory, not your typical and not in need of anything additional, really surprised us! The ceasar salads even came with some lovely capers on top. My son was treated to a dessert for his birthday and was given 4 options of which he chose the Creme Brulee which came complete with a blue candle with a blue flame lol! Super delicious, classic and smooth with a dollop of whipped cream and a raspberry.
Best meal yet at OneEleven (I seem to say that every time). The Spanish Chicken was unreal. And great service, as always.
Excellent welcome. My homemade Yorkshire dish was very good but unfortunately not plentiful enough. Not enough onion ring. For dessert, the pudding was excellent.
One of the best places for a nice meal in town. Great place for a date night
Food tasted good. Disappointing when the bacon is 3/4 fat and the bison burger Pattie crumbles because it s dry.
The food was amazing and service just as good! Definitely be back for another visit soon!
Great food great service. Will go back. Food
Always a relaxing place to have lunch with friends. The staff are attentive and the food is delicious.
We really enjoy the food here. Its always a delightful stop and the food never disappoints.
Delicious food and very diverse menu - high end food options and great presentation. Beautiful atmosphere. Great place for a date or a celebration
Loved the atmosphere, the music was lovely and the food was amazing. Really appreciated the kids menu. We will return for a date night sans kids. Kid-friendliness: The kids menu isnt printed but the portions are generous, younger kids would easily be able to share one meal.
Almost everything was great except we were sat next to a very big table celebrating birthdays. Felt like we had no privacy. Certainly not a quiet dinner. The guests even made conversation when our food was brought and made comments. Privacy was not a priority. Would still go there, just would ask for a more quiet spot to sit.
My girlfriends and I came for a quick supper before attending another event, and ended up staying for over 3 hours. The atmosphere on the patio was fantastic. The food was amazing. The lemon meringue parfait was unique and soooo yummmmy. Our server Alyssa was super attentive. The live music was perfect. Great songs, easy listening, super talented. Can t say enough about this place. A pleasant surprise. Even though we pretty much missed our next event. Thanks 1-11.
We had a birthday party there last night. It started off slightly rocky with seating but our waitress was immediately the most accommodating I ve ever seen. She quite literally preformed leaps and bounds to accommodate our large party. The food I ordered was excellent (Yorkshire pudding) everything came out of the kitchen exactly as ordered. Since Covid I can say eating out has been disappointing and at times upsetting in the way staff approach patrons. Not here! What a treat!
Food was excellent, servers were friendly and welcoming, live music was a bit loud but not unexpected for a Saturday night.
The food was really good - i had the 14oz ribeye neptune. The neptune topping was incredible. The service was decent. The vibe is good, just felt a little crowded for my liking. But theyve definitely made the most of the physical space. Probably the best upscale dinner Ive had in Red Deer.
Wow is this place overpriced!!! I have never seen a $30 and $32 burger before but there it was on the menu. Unbelievable. The service was slow and the menu is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food - its okay, but nothing amazing. We wont be back ever again. Very disappointing.
Beautiful atmosphere and great service. The food was ok. I didnt enjoy the curry pasta because the lemongrass flavor mixed with curry was not to my taste. Also, the seafood linguini was too sour. The braise beef, truffles fries, mussels, and shrimp dish were delicious. The food presentation was nice, and the price range was fair. We will return to try their steaks and other items in the menu.
We celebrated our anniversary at One Eleven Grill. In my opinion, they make the BEST steak and French Onion soup that I have EVER had! Their ribeye with the blue cheese topping is incredible! Always amazing service and delicious food. We take friends and family here when they visit from out of town and they rave about their meals as well.
Good atmosphere, with great customer service and really delicious meals. Recommend this restaurant))
Really good food and big portions. Enjoyed the evening here.
After numerous positive visits to One Eleven, I had anticipated the same when I took a friend there for her birthday onThursday, April 11th. Prices were unexpectedly much higher (yes, I know costs have gone). We both ordered the beef rib, stuffed potato and roasted root vegetables. The rib wasnt a rib, it was a hunk of roasted beef with gravy, something I make very well at home. The stuffed potato was adequate but far from outstanding, the skin was over cooked. The best part of the meal was the roasted vegetables. The birthday dessert selection chosen was Pina colada cheesecake that was more like a runny pudding than cheesecake. It was such a disappointment, and nothing spectacular, all for the price of 100.00, including tip. Thats about 10 days worth of groceries for me. Needless to say, it is obvious eating out, especially at One Eleven, is no longer something I can afford. P.S. the service was superior.
Went there tonight sat in the lounge in a booth next to each other. It was a date night for us. Server came and took our order we shared appies and some wine. We told her we would share. She brought one plate. Just one a side plate. We waited she didn t return until 10 minutes later and I asked for a plate. She returned and placed the plate out of reach and left. When we asked for the bill she asked if we wanted it together or seperate. It was so bizarre the whole experience. We won t be back.
This place always has the best food! It is one of our favorites! Parking: Lots right by the door Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible by wheelchair
Romantic/ affordableish night for two. Or in my case girls night out with my daughter. Food here is prepared in a very classy way and never a dissapointment. We splurged and had a big seafood platter but it did cost a pretty penny. Being from Victoria I still was not dissapointed. I promise to take photos next time! Kid-friendliness: Older kids more appropriate my daughter and Started coming here for daughter/ mom date night around 10years old
Good menu selections- see pictures Steaks, salads, yorkshire, veggies cooked so well Sliders very dry We were served well
Evening is always good. Lunch seems to be very hit or miss. Food
Hands down, best steak in the city! Food is amazing, staff are great and great atmosphere!
Best food ever!!! Good service and amazing vibes!! 5 out of 5
What an awesome place!!! Love the vibe! It definitely wasnt what we expected. We thought it was more like a pub, but it was very upscale. The food was amazing, a little pricey, but worth it. Definitely nice as a treat night out. Would visit again!
Had a reservation, for wheelchair accessible table only to get a call that the wheelchair accessible area is bar height. So how is this wheelchair accessible? So had to cancel the reservation and go to a place that can accommodate a handicapped person.
The steaks need more seasoning and seared more. The lamb pops looked like they were boiled. Needs searing, and they were cold. Weirdest Neptune I ve ever eaten, and believe me, we have been to many uptown restaurants. I m not a vegy person, but they were the best. Crème brûlée was good. Ambience meh, waiter checking if the meal is ok didn t happen, no salt and pepper at the tables.
Really enjoyed the food. There was live music, which sounded pretty good. Staff was friendly, and for how busy the place was, the food came out hot and fairly quick, considering how many people were being served
We came here for a momentous family occasion at the recommendation of some people in Red Deer. We were sat in a dark room at the back, right behind some guy playing guitar, so we had zero ability to converse as a family. The service was okay, as the establishment was very busy; however, the food was lacking. Cold pasta that tasted more like a can of crushed tomatoes dumped on linguini. The duck tasted acceptable; however, the minimal amount of food served for the price may need to be revised. The steaks were okay, and that was the issue. The major downside of One Eleven is the price of the food, as the high-end price tag did not mirror the quality and taste that other high-end Alberta steak houses are known for.
Its hard to find a good blue rare steak, they did a stellar job of it. And the Yorkshires were phenomenal too.
Wonderful staff. There s one dish that I LOVE the lobster risotto side and they are amazing and made it early for me as I had some dental work done and nothing else is soft enough with some actual protein. I love this place! Great ambiance and wonderful service all around! Parking: Next to 360 fitness in the back
I have to recommend the Shrimp Taco s. They are absolutely the best in the city! Service and atmosphere are always top notch at One Eleven Grill.
Came in first time. Accommodated us with ease. Party of 16...6 were children. Everyone ordered something different so we all shared and swapped bites. Very impressed. Meals costly but worth it. Our waitress Madison was phenomenol. Fast. Food came quite fast. Worth going to. Thank you Madison you were great even with the kids.
Appetizer and dessert were both good. Our meals were disappointing. Hadn t been out for dinner in a long time and we were very disappointed. I ate about 1/4 of my dish and threw the rest out at home.
We had prawns two ways to start. My wife had the blueberry basil chicken and I had the short rib and we shared the brussel sprouts. Everything was pretty great. I do however think that they are cutting up chuck roast and callling it short rib. I have never seen a boneless piece of short rib that was that size. It was a huge cube of meat. Tasted good just unsure it was short rib.
Excellent as always
Our Rib Eye steak was undercooked. Way too thin and chock full of gristle.
This is a top notch dining establishment. I have been here a few times and every time the service and food is impeccable. Well worth the money and the portions are really good. They really pay attention to you and you never wait for anything it is a truly wonderful place to eat.
The meat ball appy was very dry and my steak was under done.
Delicious, great service, nice ambience
As always excellent service and food
Great food and service, good time
Way too loud! Horrible accoustics. Wayyyy too expensive. Food was very good, except for the 5 fishbones in my Walleye Food : 5/5
Food was very good but....very expensive. To be fair we just ordered without looking at prices but we were shocked at how high the bill was. Based on that alone we will be taking our business to other restaurants. We quite regularly dine out in Edmonton and Calgary and the prices there are more reasonable with comparable food and service. We had to ask to get the music turned down so that we could hear each other and the background chatter was also very loud. It is all hard surfaces in there so sound just rebounds. In summary, food and service good, prices and ambience need work.
We had a wonderful time, our server was fantastic, and the food was even better.
We came to One Eleven Grill once before for lunch and it was such a great experience, we decided to return for dinner (in late April 2023). Unfortunately, this time around, the experience was the opposite. While we were seated promptly and our server was friendly enough, she was not very attentive and all over the place. She was extremely slow in coming back to take our order even though my menus were closed and faced down for over 10 minutes. Our drinks then took 20 minutes to arrive. Apparently the bar was running behind but from our table viewpoint, our server had forgotten to put in the order. Then it took over an hour for our meal to arrive. We kept asking for an update and kept getting apologies. I had two little ones with me so it is not acceptable to ask young children to wait one hour and 20 minutes for dinner. Seriously, how long does it take to make a grilled cheese sandwich? While the food presentation looked great, it didnt taste as great as we remembered. The kitchen messed up the side to my burger, the chicken was a little on the dry side, and the worst, my daughters grilled cheese sandwich was cold and tasted like cardboard. The sandwich was basically two overly dried pieces of bread hard as brick slapped together with processed cheese in the middle. The server was apologetic and took this meal of our tab and I wouldnt expect any less. I wondered if we picked a bad day because I remember our last experience as nothing but exceptional. I would have to be convinced to return again.
We decided to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary at one eleven, I made reservation a month half before and even stated what we wanted, the surf and turf plate. We arrived on time but still had to wait over 45 minutes to get served, with rock and roll trying to play over Jazz music, not a good combo. Food finally showed up, but the prime rib was too raw to take the chance of eating it and it was to busy in the restaurant to send it back as we had other plans for the evening and after waiting so long it was not an option. The crab shell was over steamed and way to soft to crack with the supplied utensils. Scissors would have helped, so those two main entree s were out, the lobster was good but small, since prime rib and crab were uneatable. The prawns and scallops were good and how can you go wrong with asparagus. For a $200 dollar plate I would have expected way better preparation and quality! Not impressed, and not a good meal at all to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
Best prime rib in town.... Service is eager and willing but missing the polish and professionalism you would expect from a higher end place, still very good though.
My parents took us out for dinner and it was outstanding from top to bottom, food was very filling great portions for what you pay for atmosphere was so nice and I had the best time with my family very Cozy atmosphere will be coming here again
This place is the best restaurant in town. The food is remarkable and the owner has curated a phenomenal wine menu as well. Best wine list in town. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is incredible. Love this place!
We come on birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. Off the bat, service was okay. Didnt seem like a priority to the restaurant or servers. Waitress always had a smile, but we didnt feel important to the restaurant. Wife bit down on something hard in her mashed potatoes. Looked like glass or hard plastic... we gave the piece to the waitress. The mashed potatoes were replaced but we werent given an explanation on what or why it was in her food. All in all...food was pretty good, but wouldnt pay the price on the menu. Wont be going back.
Really enjoy this restaurant.
Best meal ever, top 3 for sure
Enjoy their patio on a sunny day! Food is very tasty and service great!
Accidentally came here yesterday after a disaster of a meal a few years ago. Thought I learned my lesson but figured Id give them a second chance. I dont know how you can screw up a Rueben and a bowl of tomato soup, but the chef here sure does. 0 Stars to the waitress who told me a bowl of tomato soup with half a bottle of liquid smoke in it is an acquired taste and didnt comp it despite it being inedible sludge. The crab cakes were not the worst Ive had, so there was that at least. Not really good though, over spiced and overly dense. 60$ for stomach upset and I was still hungry. Yeah. No.
Great restaurant with a good vibe, nice scenery, plenty of space for lunch and fantastic food. Im a Foodie in case you havent read any of my other reviews and I always want to order a dish at a new place that stands out from the usual fare. Today my choice was the the Ahi Tuna Sandwich and it was absolutely scrumptious to the last messy bite. The ahi tuna was seared to perfection and plenty juicy. As I write this a day later my mouth begins to drool at the thought. I paired it with their house salad with goat cheese and stuff that was quite tasty as well and Im no rabbit. To quote Arnold; Ill be back
Very good food, great prices, and massive portion sizes!
I will give 10 stars if available, best food in town. Definitely recomanded. AWESOME
My girlfriend has a garlic allergy and after going to 2 other places that couldnt accommodate we called one eleven. They told us they could cook any of their steaks without garlic. They were able to accommodate all of our needs and the food was fantastic. Our server was excellent, making sure to double check everything with the kitchen. We are on holiday and we will remember and recommend this place always.
Been here several times. The food and service is always upscale and great. The Tuesday night date night special is a phenomenal deal and a must
I had lamb for dinner. The portion was unexpectedly big. They offered me a box to take the remaining portion. I would have ordered half of it. The taste was good.
Ive been here several times and Im never disappointed! The food is amazing and the servers go above and beyond. The burgers is massive and soo good!
We went for the first time for a nice diner out. Went early just in case it got busy. Was quiet and as we were discussing the menu the owner was right by our table setting up for the entertainment for the night and introduced himself and talked about some of our menu choices a bit. Well we tried the scallops and pork belly for an appetizer and it was amazing. The best scallops I have ever had. Then my husband had the lamb with lobster risotto and I tried some. So so good! I don t usually enjoy lamb but I would order this. I had the short rib and it was delicious as well. We had the owner check on us a couple times and also had awesome service from the staff. Would recommend this to anyone and we will be back again! Thank you!
Yelp system from the web page does not work. Made a reservation for 6.30 and advised it would be after 8 pm. No thank you!
Beef wellington and salad for two for $40. They are really tasty and a great deal
We have been at this restaurant twice now with a group- both times it has been great. Great food, atmosphere and service.
Crab cakes are to die for... Tons of crab and a crunchy exterior, with a great spicy dipping sauce. The baby back ribs were great, and came with a ton of great stuff on a wood platter, such as baked beans with lots of bacon, coleslaw, amazing twice baked potato, perfect asparagus, buttery roasted red peppers, and corn on the cob (which was the only downer as the corn was soft, probably over cooked, not crunchy and juicy... but the flavor was great). Creme brulee for dessert, great service, excellent cocktails, and a selection of good beers on tap including Guinness. The New York Strip Steak Oscar was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Would go back for sure, probably for seafood next time as it looks amazing.
We have been coming here for date-night dinners since first moving to Red Deer almost nine years ago. We ve always enjoyed our dinners here- and now each time we have family and friends visit this is our go to restaurant. The brunch is delicious and they always go above and beyond for special dietary restrictions. You should eat here! Dietary restrictions: Red Pepper allergy.
A great place to get steak every time. The pork belly chop that I tried was also very good. It just takes a while to get the food, but its worth the wait.
Love the food here! Do not be deceived when you drive up as have had multiple people Ive taken question my choice as looks like a sketchy bar and is nowhere near that. Food is high end and delicious, highly recommend.
It was the second time eating at 1:11 both times we had Madison. She is by far my favorite server Ive had ever or at least 10 years and she needs a raise LOL she is so comforting and sweet and amazing and our food is always perfect when it comes out so hats off to the kitchen as well. My favorite place in Red Deer by far. The only thing I would say is the booths need reupholstering LOL other than that 10 out of 10
We went here for our anniversary and what a pleasant experience we had. Their atmosphere was really great and the food and drinks were fantastic. The bruschetta, and scallops with pork belly were very good and I highly suggest them. Definitely will be returning to this spot again sometime soon!
Super good. Love it there. My only suggestion would be to fix the booths leather seats. Wearing a dress or shorts it scratches your legs and its not very pleasant. Love the food there. Steak bites are sooooo yummy
Ive been here twice, and both times have been superior experiences. The food is cooked to perfection, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is welcoming. One thing that is a must try is their mushroom skillet. Its amazing. Best Ive ever had. And for my gluten free crowd there is an abundance of choice!
Came to celebrate our Anniversary! It did not disappoint. Host and our waitress were friendly and knowledgeable. They even had a great mocktail selection too. Didn t get a picture of the crab cake appetizer, but it was delicious and perfect for 2 to share.
Had an awesome lunch work meeting at One Eleven Grill. Emily was great and looked after us really well!! The food was just excellent as always. Looking forward to our next visit soon!
Love this place been there lots the mini beef Wellington appetizer is absolutely amazing as well as everything else
Weve been there twice now in the last 2 months. Both times for Tuesday date night special. Great price! Great food. Music is always just a bit loud though. People want to have a conversation you know.
Music was too loud.. Drinks have no imagination Muscles were over cooked Food : 2/5
They still use plastic straws so immediately a 5 star but the food is always great and the servers are always friendly 10/10 recommend eating here Dietary restrictions: Have decent gluten free options not great for celiac tho
Best Bartender Ever!
The lobster poutine is delicious. The blueberry burger though barely had any sauce on it, I couldnt tell if it was good or not cause I couldnt taste it. It took an hour for our food to come out... The drinks were really good though. It wasnt all good, it wasnt all bad. I would definitely give them another try.
It was OK. Food was pricey for the size of portions, veggies were raw and scarce. My large rib eye was exactly the same size as my wife s regular one, just cost more. All in all it was decent, just a reminder why we don t go out much anymore. The pub at home is always better and we don t have to drive after. The only perk was that I didn t have to do dishes!
Went here for a special family occasion and the food was fantastic. I was sad the blueberry bbq sauce was gone from the burgers and steak but was still happy they had it for the ribs.
You tell me if 2 person can actually have a full tummy from this meal (see picture) no, they can t, not even for a whooping 250 dollars. We asked in advance to have our meal ready since we had a concert to go , obviously we ordered from the menu the day we reserved the seat, but we had to wait 45 minutes still. The food overall is good quality I have to say but, the chef needs some tips, all the food was insipid with lack of any added taste. Weird.
We celebrated my wife s 70th Birthday here food and service were exceptional We had their Tuesday night date night special for 85.00 Food
First time going was pretty good all around
We had a night out me and the wife. Both ordered steak and was cooked perfect. Very tasty. Rest if the menu looked great as well. Nice atmosphere and service was prompt and fast. Drinks didnt go empty once. Will eat here again for sure.
Charlie was an excelent server. New menu rocks. Food
Absolutely AMAZING food! The beverage list is perfect. One Eleven is a must stop location to eat when in Red Deer!! Dietary restrictions: Great communication on gluten and vegan options! Tons of options to try!
First time being there and it was amazing will be back forsure
Delicious food. Good service. It is on the more expensive side, but worth it.
Celebrated our anniversary and took in the Tuesday date night special and it was AMAZING. Awesome service and the most delicious food.
Great steak sandwich !!
Great food! Excellent service and once inside a real cool feel!!
Enjoyable experience. They had live music tonight which was nice. I ordered something called stuffed yorkshire Dish breakdown as follows: 2 lovely looking yorkshires with crisp outsides greeted you at first glance, a hearty serving of carbs...(which is clearly not a deal breaker for me as I knew that going in) was flanked by a petite shmeer of seasoned mashed potatoes topped with micro greens and a understatement of root veggies. Upon slicing into the main I found the top false gravy layer was quite thin and sat neatly atop a modest yet reasonable cheese layer. Beneath the cheese was a generous layer of roughly cut slightly undercooked onion...followed by a sampling of thinly sliced beef(stir fry style), and green peppers. In hindsight I struggle with the given name for this dish, and perhaps that is due to what my mind believes yorkshire pudding should be. This was not the tender roast beef nestled in the center of crisp yorkshire slathered in delicious gravy kind of dish. This dish was more a-kin to a beef dip sandwich served in a yorkshire. Flavor-wise the meal was fine, just not what I envisioned I would be eating. The yorkshire itself was excellent in fact, the gravy allbeit scant was well seasoned and delicious. The beef was slightly pink and had a chewy mouthfeel which for a beef dip sandwich is great, but as a roast beef substitute is less great. The potatoes although a meager quantity were also quite lovely...not understated and had enough oomph to stand on their own. The root veggies were well cooked and lightly seasoned but dreadfully lonely and I sorely wish (for their sakes of course) that they had brought more friends to dinner. So highlights of the meal? The yorkshire shell was excellent, the mashed potatoes are worth adding to another run thru. And the lemonade was excellent! Truely! What had been found wanting? Too many onions- and truely the wrong onion for this dish. A caramelized red or spanish would have been so much better. Also balance is everything. If I had to choose Id say nix the 2nd yorkshire altogether and beef just 1 and your sides up. Start with real roast beef with maybe a horseradish aoli drizzle. And for heavens sake add a gravy side. In a pretty stainless or ceramic spouted pourer so customers who are serious about gravy can get serious! ---Eat to live...or...Live to Eat---
While the food was really good when it arrived, the wait time was not acceptable in my opinion. It was really loud as well. We couldn t hear one another speaking unless we raised our voices. I would not go back.
We went to One Eleven twice and we had great experiences both times. Food was great, portion was big, price was reasonable. We had scallop and pork belly appy, it was delicious. We ordered steaks and beef short ribs as entrees, portion was big and theyre both delicious. Our server was pleasant and they had live music on weekends which is a bonus. Great ambience and good location. Will definitely choose One Eleven over other chain-owned ones (eg. Earls, Moxies etc).
Great food and service.
Good food with very attentive service. Their mini beef wellington was a very good appetizer Kid-friendliness: Our 5 year old daughter really liked the food and restaurant as well.
The live music is very loud while trying to eat. I will definitely dine in again, I will just take more notice of going on a band night. Highly recommend the mini wellingtons.
Food was very good, appies and main. Short rib cooked to perfection. Server was busy with a big table, and I get that but we were left a long time without service. Frustrating. And please, tone down the overhead lighting. Its a nice atmosphere but the light bulbs overhead are way too bright.
Terrible place
Stopped in there on November 24 and it was packed, so we sat at the bar (no reservation). Anyway, the lobster bisque was so wonderful.Thick and creamy, it had identifiable pieces of lobster in every bit too amazing flavor. Glenn had the stuffed Yorkshire, which he said was really good. My beef short rib was really yummy too. I couldn t do it justice that night, but as a leftover the next day, I loved it! Dylan was bartending and made sure we were never thirsty! We definitely recommend this out-of-the-way gem. We couldn t stay long, but there was live entertainment too.
Hidden gem in Red Deer. The mini beef wellingtons . The meal, the service the industrial look in the inside was perfect. Cant wait to visit Red Deer and come to your restaurant again.
We had a large group and service kept up with drinks and food. Food portions were good size and tasted good
Good food specialy wellington beef and short ribs! Had an amazing service with Charlynn! Cozy place!! Thank you
I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. I always feel save recommending this establishment to friends and family. Worth the time and money to have a night out at One Eleven Grill!
