5108 52 St #4, Red Deer, AB T4N 6Y4, Canada
Elevated Vietnamese specialties served in a fashionable space with a folksy vibe.
Always a delicious treat. - The service is second to none, they will customize meals surrounding dietary needs and no matter how busy they are you aways feel taken care of accompanied with a smile. - Always great!!
They said they are Vietnamese restaurant but none of them be able to speak or understand Vietnamesee language except the chief cook. Yet, they are vietnamese but their foods are not Vietnamese style at all. When you orderd for a milk coffee and told them you needed less milk but after you drank it, there was too much milk and asked them for more coffee. You then been told you have to pay for another coffee. What a joke! Overall the food is terribleness and the services is suck. Don't come to any Vietnamese restaurants in Red Deer at all.
Wow!! What a fabulous dining experience! As fine an Asian restaurant as can be found anywhere in Canada. Truly authentic, freshest of ingredients, beautiful dishes and so very very delicious. From the magnificent rice to the superb wonton soup to the divine spring rolls. A tour d'force of flavour! Awesome portion sizes and really reasonable prices. Super highly recommend this crown jewel.
Hands down great food. Best spring rolls in Red Deer, great service. If you do go at lunch, it will be busy, and difficult to have a conversation with the company you are with without raising your voice.
I loved everything about this pace from the moment I walked in the door, it’s got a good chill vibe. You can go in and pick from one of the many options, they have a great selection. Great prices but not compromising quality or quantity. The proportions are great, you will not leave hungry and probably have a snack for later. it was the best pho I have had in Canada and I have had it at a lot of places, the ingredients were spot on for a perfect pho. The service was alright, went 2 times first time was great, quick and attentive. The second time we got the wrong order and got overcharged. I still recommend as a must try. I hope the third time is as good as the first.
Service was great and the price was very reasonable. The food was decent. Salad rolls were very small and the deep fried quail was a bit dry. The vermicelli bowl was good but some of the components weren’t very good. Maybe I should have tried the pho but I wasn’t in the mood for soup.
Pho is pretty good, I like the broth for the bun bo hue but prefer the noodles to be the thick vermicelli instead of the the pho rice noodles that they use. Salad rolls were a bit hard on the outside like it was premade so didn't taste freshly made. The quail and calamari are tasty but the fried rice didn't hit the spot. Service was good and clean restaurant. Price is very reasonable.
I got used to have the rice noodle soup and my taste is closer to Australia one. Compare to Aussie one, these dishes are not hotter than what I had before in Aussie. Which means easy to put my mouth of course those are very delicious. However, I prefer hotter one than easily have it
The beef Pho is delicious and enough for 2 meals. The Vietnamese coffee is so good.
Awesome food, great portions!
Best calamari ever!
Best pho in red deer.
Best Vietnamese food in town. Service is amazing along with the food. And make sure you try the chili oil and buy a jar on your way out, to bring home Vegetarian options: Plenty of options Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating Kid-friendliness: High chairs upon request Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
This is the best restaurant in Red Deer!
We ordered takeout last night and we were so surprised that the PHO had ZERO flavor this time. It tasted like egg noodles in tap water.
The best pho I can find in Red Deer
The food is so delicious my favorite place and the service is fantastic
All I can say is their pho is absolutely out of this world, like PHO real, if you know what I mean. Service is great even when its busy. Yuh, thats pretty much it, see ya.
Great vietnamese restaraunt. Favorite one in middle Alberta.
Pretty decent pho. There is a bit of sweetness in the soup, which was interesting. Would come back.
Hidden gem of red deer. Good food, prices, and service.
Always a great experience and the food is super yummy!
Excellent taste, quick and friendly service, affordable.
Yummy Vietnamese food. Best restaurant in town
Its ok but not a return place for me.
Just so satisfied and impressed. Delicious, fast, authentic.. would give more than 5 stars if I could. #9, 2a, 51 and a Vietnamese coffee
I am from Vancouver, BC and have had Pho Beef Soup at many many Vietnamese restaurants. The Satay broth at this restaurant is easily a 10 out of 10. Well done Pho Thuy Duong!
one of the worst pho Ive ever had
Love this place it s my grandma s restaurant and I m not just saying it because she s family foods so yummy, I have lots of friends that go all the time, foods cheap and affordable and the best pho in town!
Great food and friendly staff.
This place is one of my favorite eating establishments in Red Deer. I find it is excellent value, great food and very good friendly service. I often have a noodle bowl or Pho. Parking: If it is lunch or supper time parking may be difficult and it is a tight lot.
This place gets busy at lunch! Grab a seat early and enjoy the best Pho in town. The service was great and the food was delicious!
So bland! I ve honestly never had worse. Sorry, but Vietnamese food is supposed to have flavor. There was none! The beef tasted boiled and the chicken breast was so dry I thought I would blow power out of my mouth!
I love it here the best pho in the world !!
By far my favorite restaurant in Red Deer! I always get the chicken satay Pho, Vietnamese coffee and the salad rolls! The service is amazing!
Whether it s dine in or take out, it s always a top notch experience.
Great food
I was just in and ordered shrimp and chicken pho, and only got one shrimp in my broth.
Very affordable nice place.
Best Vietnamese in Red Deer from our experience.
Love this place. Fast and Delicious
Had some great pho and vermicille bowls. Broth was good and the chili oil was top notch!
Food is okay, but service is terrible.
Best Pho in Alberta
Restaurant
Service was fast and freindly. Spring rolls are made in house and very flavorful. Ordered wor wonton soup nicely spiced with a good amount of veggies and wontons it was nice to see broccoli root in there as it has a nice flavor. Would recommend
Great food, generous portions and a good price!
Food is amazing
I had a vermicelli bowl, no lettuce or bean sprouts. Vegetables and shrimp were very undercooked and noodles were totally overcooked. Very disappointing.
The Best PHO in Alberta!!
Amazing food, great service, huge portions, fair pricing! We always enjoy eating here!
Always great food. Service is good but can be slower during a rush. I typically am here for lunch and try to come at 11:30 to beat the noon rush. The space is basic. Its more about the food and company than the atmosphere. Parking: Busy during the later lunch rush.
Best place in town!
I cannot speak to the authenticity of the food here as I dont have much to compare it against, but it is delicious and affordable. I got the pork stir fry and spring rolls my last time through. Both were fantastic and the portions were very generous for the price. The restaurant was clean and the service was prompt and friendly.
Best place in Red Deer
Peaceful atmosphere and great food. Everything came out fast and hot.
Best vietnamese food in town. Family run business with great service. Pho noodle soup, vermicelli bowls, spring rolls and salad rolls are my favourite! Everytime I get sick all I want is Pho broth!
Overall service was good and friendly, portions are tiny and over-priced and bland. Given the popularity of the place maybe we just had the bad roll. Will try again to confirm but first impressions do matter. Dietary restrictions: My wife is a celiac and was safely able to eat here. A huge win!
Excellent Bun Bo Hue. It was exactly what I was looking for for flavor and meat to noodle ratio. Ordered pick up and forgot my sauce and chop sticks, but the food was 10/10. Highly recommend
Our favourite.
Excellent prices, service, and food quality
Bland, bland, bland. best to go spend your money at thap ba way more authentic and tasty.
The best hands down
It was busy at lunchtime. Service was quick, salad rolls were excellent as were the vermicelli bowls. Would definitely eat here again!
Good consistent food run by nice people. I really love the quails and the calamari is great too
Great place for Pho Noodle Soup!
I had the vermicelli and chicken bowl. Extremely disappointed. It was extremely bland with little to no flavour. The chicken was dry and again had no flavour. What is even worse is that the Nuoc mam sauce also had almost no flavour and did not add much to the dish at all.
Best pho in Red Deer, the beef satay is always on point. Best spring rolls around for sure. Always delicious.
Everything about this place is the best!!
Its pretty good. Lots of options. I like going here with a few other people and ordering a few things and sharing. The beef and lemongrass noodles are my favorite.
One of my favorite restaurants in Red Deer, I order take out frequently from here and its always delicious and consistent. Highly recommend if you havent been here before
Always a tasty bowl of soup
Its one of my favorites
good food good price good service. 4 stars
Have gone here many times. Always a good time and food is delicious.
it s so good! i literally go here every week
If you re looking for authentic Vietnamese food, there is no better place in Red Deer. Portions are very generous, and flavor and quality are fantastic. Most menu items are in the $15 range. Don t miss the spring rolls!! Menu items are numbered, and regulars will know (and argue) for their favorite. #34 and #43 for me.
Always delicious, always amazing! It sometimes varies a little bit from visit to visit, probably just depends on whos cooking that day, but always an excellent experience. Best spring rolls, my absolute fav!
This is my favourite place for regular wonton soup but I am giving a 3 star review as after a few visits Ive noticed some deficiencies. The special wonton soup has only 2 wontons in it (so the soup name is a little misleading) and the crab did not taste like crab, (possibly imitation crab). The chowmein veggies were raw so it was a bit unappetizing in something thats usually stir fried. The most disappointing thing for me is the salad rolls (because I LOVE a good salad roll) with peanut sauce, they are very bland and the sauce is not like any peanut sauce Ive ever had, its like a red chilli glaze style sauce with hoisin and peanuts mixed in, not the usual peanut butter and coconut milk sauce Im used to. Just a bit more of a cook on the veggies, a better sauce (and some carrots and cucumber in the salad rolls) for the salad rolls and either a different name for the special wonton soup OR add more wontons, would make these items great. Otherwise, the service is always fast and the staff are so nice, I will still come here for the wonton soup, but I hope the owners will adjust some of their recipes so that everything is amazingly delicious!
I am vegetarian. They only have 2 vegetarian items on the menu both very good. Vegetarian options: As I said there are 2 vegetarian dishes, both good. Probably the one with tofu and bok choy etc on rice is my favorite of the two. Food : 4/5 |
Yes. Why not. You should not be that good. You are that good. I want you, more, More, MORE, MORE!!!!!!!!
Perfect Vietnamese food
I ordered Bun Bo Hue and the dish was served with Pho broth which was totally different and wrong. My husband usually is easy with food and he ordered just same dish all the time we visited any Viet restaurants. He said the food was not flavourful, the fish sauce was tasteless and the meat was not as expected, turned out it was sausage or nem. He left all the noodle. The only bonus is which is the place quite organized and clean. Service is fast just not orginial Vietnamese taste.
Best pho!!
Great pho and friendly service.
This is by far the best Pho in Red Deer. Always consistent. Big portions. Salad rolls are excellent as well.
Best Vietnamese in Red Deer
Great food and good prices. Lovely for lunch or Dinner. The chow mein and soups are delightful.
First time in and i loved it! The place looked clean and very reasonable price wise, they looked a bit understaffed but still team did a great job!
Best Pho around !!
Really great food
For pho in Red Deer, I guess it was passable. Not authentic whatsoever and cloudy broth. We came in and ordered our meal. Finally, when the food came, we were missing 2 bowls of pho. I understand that it was lunch rush, but we clearly ordered 5 bowls for the 5 of us. For mediocre pho, service was only satisfactory. We will not be returning.
Take out is a rip off now, they raised prices and switched to much smaller containers. Won t be doing take out anymore, shame because the pho is good
Best spring rolls I ve ever had, and it s not even close.
The only concern we have today is that the rag they use has a really really weird smell and very disgusting. Hope they clean/wash or atleast check it after every use. Everything else.. Food came fast and also taste great! We recommend their Pho specially when paired with Chili Sauce!
Love the food, the service and the atmosphere try it. They serve big servings of food for an affordable prices.
I have had a lot of pho in my life. Kinda of a pho expert. It was white person spicy. But I still had it.
Vietnamese food mostly noodle soup with lots of noodle selection and a variety of meats and seafood. Havent check other items being served. Vegetarian options: Can order no meat meals Parking: Though theres limited front parking, but the parking area is shared between other establishments. Kid-friendliness: Kids can be accommodated with small servings or sharing. Wheelchair accessibility: All front doors are provided with disability buttons for entry including wash rooms.
Great service, food came quickly, large portions, delicious! Very glad we came to try this place. We had the beef and beef meatballs pho, chicken chow mein, and beef and mixed vegetables stir-fry.
Good food as usual.
Food is always fresh and very good here ..service could be better always seems to have just ok service so if your patient you will love the food ..sister had the soup she mentioned it only had two won tons in it otherwise was good
Consistently good food and service over the last ten plus years.
5/5 for the amazing pho alone.
Great food!! Really fast nd fresh Beef noodle soup is delicious
I really love this place. A family run place that makes excellent food.
By far the very best ....
The food comes very quick and is delicious. would definitely recommend
This is hands down the best Vietnamese food in Red Deer. Its always fresh, the employees are friendly and the price is great!!
Best pho ever ..the broth is addicting!! Will definitely back. Great value!
The food is excellent and the service is friendly though rushed. The prices are very fair for what you get especially if you get the Pho. This is one of the best restaurants in Red Deer PHO Sure. Ahem.
Fantastic veggie soup, I got chicken added, with a little sriracha its a fantastic meal to get over a cold day .
Good noodle bowl. Always fast for pickup. The restaurant can be busy around the lunchtime.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal and will definitely be back.
My wife and I love coming here, we dont live in Red Deer anymore but this is by far the best Vietnamese restaurant weve been to! We always make sure to stop in when were back in town.
I ordered two pho and one salad roll. First, noodles in salad roll was hard. And it tasted only cold noodles and sauce. And broth was very sweet. I couldn t finish my bowl. Food
Great food. Very good pricing. Fast and the order is always right.
The best in red deer. We had take out the noodles where separated. So all we had to do was add in and stir. Everything was delicious and extra sauces are added with take out so I could have it extra spicy the way I like it. Awesome job.
Great food, always fast, good service. There phone line is horrendous. 75% of the time the phone can t be reached, or it rings and rings and no answer. Sometimes they are randomly closed but I thoroughly enjoy the food and will put up with these lesser qualities. 4/5
Was my first time going in person for approx. 2 years, thanks covid, this place is awesome. Best pho around, fast service, busy atmosphere. Everything I expect from a top notch Vietnamese place, thank-you!
Delicious Pho, generous servings! Great value for price
I love vietnamese food but not from here. This was the worst Ive ever had. I ordered vermicelli with pork and spring rolls. The noodles were hard. I complained. They brought me another bowl of noodles (not full dish - just the noodles). They were also hard. The meat was dry and tasteless. The fish sauce was tasteless. They took away my 2 bowls of food and didnt offer to put it in a container for taking home (I wouldnt have taken it home though, but they should have offered a I had a lot of food left over. So much left over that they should have given it to me for free. Also poor service. I have no idea how this place gets good ratings.
Excellent Vietnamese Restaurant. Staff are very polite and answer any questions in regards to the dishes. Very clean and organized. The Pho is some of the best Ive had in Red Deer. The salad rolls and spring rolls are also excellent. Parking can be a issue, but you can just park across the street in the Superstore lot.
Wish I lived in Red Deer. There was a delicious depth of flavour to everything we ordered. To start: Chicken & Shrimp salad rolls, crunchy spring rolls. Main entrees: Spicy Shrimp & Beef Pho - wonderful citrusy spice, as well as Wonton soup which came with tons of extras loaded in the bowl. Portions were generous we both ordered medium size Pho and Soup, as we had extras on the side. Most namely our shared plate of Lemongrass Chicken and veggies served on a bed of coconut rice...absolutely delicious so happy to have leftovers for lunch next day. Service was warm, welcoming and attentive. Our dishes were served quickly, which was surprising throughout the numerous take out/pick up orders flying out of the restaurant at the same time. People love this place - its obvious and I can see why! Flavours are authentic and really delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Ill definitely be going back to try some more deliciousness. You have got to try this place!
My favorite Vietnamese in Red Deer! Everything Ive had here is delicious!
Just ate here for the 2nd time. Unbelievable food. It is a must do while in Red Deer
Food was good, was served quickly and fresh even though it was lunch rush. Great for a quick lunch break spot.
First time here . Had a absolutely amazing time highly recommend
As far as I know it is the longest standing Vietnamese restaurant in town. That should speak for itself. Been there tons. Never had a bad meal. My first choice for pho. Only thing is they dont have subs anymore.
Awesome
Great meals. Very fast
Best Vietnamese food in Red Deer. Always delicious. Friendly service.
Best pho in Red Deer. We eat here often and have become regulars over time. The food is always hot and fresh and delicious, with quick and friendly service and the place is clean. Always a great meal.
They are fabulous people I figured out though that I dont LOVE pho but thats okay :)
#9 spicy soup is the best, cravable dish! The service is fast, welcoming and the food is delicious, would recommend eating here everytime
Pho cures whatever ails you. Prove me wrong. Best Pho in the City!
Best Vietnamese in town. Sam and his family brought this cuisine to Red Deer many years ago when their shop was squeezed into a tiny house across from the provincial building. We would sit cheek to gowle to experience this brand new Asian flavour. Soon after, in thier current location, the chairs didnt match but the food was still excellent. Now they occupy two bays, the place is well appointed and still very busy because the food has always been the best.
This place was close to the hotel. We ordered the deep fried calamari and beef pho. Delicious. Quick, friendly service. I would recommend!
Great Vietnamese food, very reasonable prices. My favourites: salad rolls (the shrimp & pork or the chicken, they re both delicious), spring rolls, beef satay pho, or beef with lemongrass vermicelli bowl (#54).
Good Vietnamese food! One of my favourite restaurants in town!
Some of the best pho Ive had. Would definitely come back
Usually this is one of our favorite spots but this time we were seated and sat for 20 minutes and watched waitress takes orders from two other tables before us and it would have been 3 but we had to speak up to get someone attention. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant. We sat 4 minutes and outer order was taken and they were as busy with one less waitress. Hoping it was a bad night but rethinking about whether well go back to this Restaurant .
Great food. Great prices. Great service
I used to go there often and I always ordered the same thing. However, the employee wrote the wrong order number and another food came out. I said it wasnt rude.I expected to change it to the one we ordered, and after a while, the staff brought the receipt and said that they would not change it because I ordered it wrong. I ordered number 18, but the staff wrote number 8, and she said she was not at fault and showed me the price of the food. It was very unpleasant and there was no apology. I wont go again, and I dont eat food and pay for it, but he takes good care of the money.
good food
We got sick after eating there. I asked for nuts. They came to the table to ask if I was the one with no nuts. After I started eating my throat started to get tight. I am curious if they removed them and thought it would be ok to to put tons of lettuce on top. I can react to cross contamination. My husband d spent the night in the washroom. I am thankful I had medication to treat my reaction. This may be the last time come here. It happened a year ago also.
Ive been going here for years! The best Vietnamese food in Red Deer
Awesome food, would recommend to anybody wanting Chinese food
good deal
I honestly didn t enjoy this at all. I wasn t able to finish any of it. We ordered the same things we do at any other restaurant and it was so far off from being good. The fish sauce tasted off, the spring rolls were not filled to the same ratio as the crust, and the meat was all different seasoned and cooked even though it was one meat and overall not tasty. I picked this location due to the number of reviews and stars but unfortunately it didn t translate into what we were served. I m sure others will have a different experience but I didn t enjoy mine.
Fresh great tasting food.
Noodles are the best in town, they rises in price as other restaurants now ! All tables are small. There are only 3 tables can fit more than 4 people, they do NOT add a chair any more. Wait for soooo long time ! ! It is not recommended to bring children during rush hours.
I love this place!! The portions are HUGE, and the prices have not skyrocketed. I live in Airdrie, and stopped in while in Red Deer for take out.
We are unhappy with the level of customer service they provide from the server.
If I could have gave them a 1.5 star rating that would have been the highest I could have went. Spring Rolls were over cooked. Flavor was poor. These seemed like they were a frozen processed spring roll, they did not taste like a housemaid version The salad rolls were very small similar scenario lackluster and flavor. Pho was oversalted which it seemed like they tried to cut with a sugar. The size of the bowl of soup large was probably one of the smallest large bowls I found in Red Deer Very Disappointed in the meal either they had a bad day or they were off. In retrospect two other tables apparently did not finish their meals either watching others eat. The take outside of this restaurant was slammed busy they had so many orders going out the door pickups were massive so I would only assume typically their food should have been better
best
My all time favorite pho place! The only thing is,,, too salty sometimes outside of that, always great!!! Love it!
Seems like the raised the prices and dropped the quality
September 15th is nice, but... From then until October 26th, the food was lacking in quality and quantity.
Everything was Absolutely Delicious
Amazing atmosphere, great food
Great food, reasonably priced, very clean
Food is awesome as always! Went for lunch and it was full very quickly! Lots of free parking available.
Excellent food. Large portions. Very friendly staff. Clean facilities. Good price. Parking: Limited parking available so get there early. Wheelchair accessibility: Parking, all tables have pull out chairs. No stairs. Large bathroom.
Had the shrimp curry it was amazing. And the noodles bowls are so good
A go to for Asian cuisine
The food is amazing Im so full and the staff is so friendly and fast service, great place to eat.
Everything is very tasty!
Absolutely fantastic as per usual! Service is always friendly and fast! Love coming here on my lunch breaks as I get out with time to spare.
Delicious food, best coffee ever!
This is one of my favorite restaurants of these type of cuisine. Dishes are always super fresh and delicious.
Best Vietnamese in town. Variety of dishes, made fresh and to order.
Best Spring rolls and pho in reddeer Amazing eat it twice a week
Amazing food, great service, awesome price. Truly a gem of Red Deer. That said, theyve lost over $120 of my own money (let alone my friends) due to their poor hours. Ive tried to take 5 people here so far and they are always closed when I want to go.
Food is absolutely delicious. Best pho Ive ever tasted.
Between this place and Thap Ba, Red Deer is well served in the Vietnamese dept. Too had they are not open Sundays though...Im usually hungover craving their food lol
Excellent food, nice portions, along with very good service. Perfect restaurant, very clean and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
BEST PLACE EVER
Fast and good food. Polite staff
Definitely the best place to get viatnamese cuisine in town. The pho was delicious, noodles were incredible! Also, I am not a coffee person, but the viatnamese coffee was incredible :)
Lovely
Good quality food, good service and also cheaper than most comparable places. The food was also served quickly.
