Found by accident and stayed on purpose. Friendly staff, good drinks and tasty food. Best parking lot bar ever.

We came here every day since we got to the island. 10/10 drinks, people watching and value in red hook.

Looks like a dive and not much seating but worth it and reasonably priced. Burgers were delicious as was everything else we had. Friends went for lobster dinner on Wednesday and loved it. Cheapest lobster you will probably find on the island.

Don t visit if you re a person of color. I came in with a group of 47 and couldn t even get a hello. My group and I came in since we heard they had the best drinks in town but the vibe wasn t there. The bald white guy behind the bar gave us the poo poo face as soon as we walked in. The music was terrible and when I asked about it I was told that I need to order before he can change the music. They basically acted like it was a problem for us to be there. So we left and went to tap and still. Ten out of ten would not recommend. If I could give it a rating lower than that I would.

Crazy and rude owner! We ate here with my husband who has multiple severe and life threatening allergies. We were told they could not safely accommodate all his allergies which is completely fine its better to be safe than sorry! However, when he ran across the street to grab subway which he can eat safely, we were told he could not eat it and that if the owner saw that she would throw a crazy fit. The server then argued with us over him eating the sandwich. We had five other people in our party ordering food and multiple drinks!! Ridiculous!!! You wont make it far if you dont care about your customers :( Will NOT be coming back!

Great location in Red Hook and drinks are good. The service is non existent. The waitress had attitude from the start and after 20 minutes we asked where our drinks were and she told us the bar was busy, to see both bartenders standing there talking to customers sitting at the bar. Spent the week in Red Hook and visited Duffys three times to try again and no one there cares about customers.

Stopped in after a day at St. John. Duffys was conveniently located in the restaurant zone near the ferry in Redhook. Watch for the chickens, as they are friendly and will come right up to you. The shark pictured in the photo is part of the act when the music gets going!

Duffy s Love Shack may state they re not a restaurant but in fact they are, even the locals can concur to it. My catch of the day meal was excellent and my husband s jerk chicken tacos were amazing. In fact the drinks were average and the cups are gimmicky. Don t get me wrong, Duffy s Love Shack is amazing so go if/when you re in the area.

Coconut shrimp and FF were really good. We went late in the evening and it was all lit up. Really cool atmosphere . Lobster was tasty and seasoned just right. Must go here if youre ever in St. Thomas. It is a small, quaint place, but I tend to find these better than some of the more high-class, 4 or 5 restaurants.

Its a favorite spot of ours. We go at least once on every trip home. You can sit inside or outside and this time, they had a live band.

Worst food and drinks I ve ever had in my life. I literally almost spit the drink out. Is the alcohol watered down or something? That did not taste like a margarita. The staff wasn t bad. BUT the horrible food and drinks made me scared to eat out on St. Thomas for the rest of my trip. The restaurant has so much potential they just need some good chefs and bartender to match the vibe.

A must-eat/drink in Red Hook! Duffys advertises themselves as the best parking lot bar in the world, and I have to agree. The bar/restaurant is literally in a shopping plaza parking lot. My wife and I went to Duffys three times in five days: once for lunch, once for dinner, and once for a late-evening snack. The drink menu is extensive, focusing on tiki-style drinks, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The food is also quite good, although the online menu doesnt 100% match what was offered on-site. The staff is friendly and service is quick, even when busy. Overall atmosphere was highly enjoyable!

Great service from the manager Friday night named Mike I believe . He told us to come back Saturday, which we did - and it must have been his off night - because the short haired younger guy was drunk spilling drinks on the bar. And we didn t get service after waiting 15 minutes. Makes sense why the bar was empty. Compete 180 from Friday night. The people next to us at the bar warned us. The Peruvian pupu and shots we had Friday night were delicious but the service we had Saturday night was enough to make us leave and never recommend this place to anyone.

We had such an amazing time here today! Baby Jesus was our bartender. He helped us pick out drinks, was hilarious, and was really cool about answering questions about the island. Couldn t have asked for a better welcome to the island. Vegetarian options: Great options, veggie burger, cheese quesadilla, guacamole. All supper yummy

I was over charged and lied to be careful, i even spoke up and said something and all i got was a bad lie.

Funky cocktails in quirky cups is a must! Fun casual atmosphere. Food was good. Had pupu platter which was tasty but not a fan of conch and probably shouldn t have had so much fried food. Definitely shareable for 4 people. The taco salad with mahi was okay. Dressing not good with it.

Worst food we have had the entire trip. The waitress did not have the best hygiene or much mannerism. The bartender was friendly and that was the only plus to the place.

Bartender was rude and would take forever on purpose to take our order. The guy was obviously having a bad day and was taking it out on his customers.

We had a Polynesian Pu-Pu platter and it was delicious. The atmosphere inside the bar is so fun and the bartenders make it more enjoyable than it already is. Great spot!

Duffys has been Duffys for over 20 years for us. We came back today to the same owners, same Bushwhacker drink, same conch fritters. Love this place. Ben is a great bartender. Great food and service. Dont pass up this historical hole in the wall bar if you are in St. Thomas. Highly recommend!!!

Our first stop on STT and it didn t disappoint! The jerk chicken sandwich is fabulous (pleasing both my wife s preference for limited spice and my spicy/flavorful inclinations), and their reputation for fun drinks & shots is well deserved. Great food, great service, & great souvenirs. Parking: In the parking lot for a shopping center, plenty of parking when we went on a Sunday evening.

They re on island time . But it s all good. Your should not have any thing to do any way. The food is top notch. One of the best tiki bars I visited. And well I enjoy the tiki. Don t forget to send some beers to the kitchen for me.

Food was much better than I expected. This is a good cadual place to eat. It does have anerican music playing so dont expect soca or calypso but the food is insppired by the carribean style. Grouper done very nicely, platter with coconut shrimp, conch fritters,... impressively served in on a platter. The drinks are good and the beer is not overpriced. Nice fun bar with a higher standard of food served.

We stopped by Duffys Love Shack bar during a break from shopping in the Red Hook area, St. Thomas. Its an open-air place located on the side of a strip mall parking lot. Nothing fancy about this place... just drinks and bar food. The menus are delivered on little tiki paddles, a bit creative! We opted not to dine at Duffys because nothing on the menu really appealed to us, and the food we saw on tables did not look that appetizing. But we did hit the specialty cocktail menu! We had the Pirate Painkiller (Pussers Gunpowder rum, pineapple and orange juices and cream of coconut) and the Guava Berry Smash (guava berry liqueur, Hurricane 137 rum, strawberries and guava nectar). Both cocktails were good, and consistent with similar drinks around the USVIs. Both drinks came with cute little accents on the top. And, Duffys has its share of chickens running around, a common sight on St. Thomas. With so many better drink/food options in the Red Hook area, wed likely not go back.

A fun little open air bar and grill in Red Hook, St Thomas, USVI. The food was great, and our server was terrific. She appeared to be the only server and did a great job of keeping everyone happy. The bar has a lot of different types of drink vessels and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Kid-friendliness: It was lunchtime, so there were kids there with parents. Not sure it would be a good place for them at night when the party crowd is out. Wheelchair accessibility: Because the building is open air and right on the parking lot Id say its accessible. Might be kind of tight inside as its a small place.

A must see dive bar when you are in St Thomas! Duffy Love Shack is an open tiki bar in Red Hook with outside dining. Their drinks are super fun and you can choose to have them in a regular cup or themed cup. Their food is also A++++ you can t go wrong. We got the Wacky Pineapple (so good if you love pina coladas) and the Thar She Blows (very good has an underlying licorice flavor if you like that). We also got the coconut shrimp and jerk chicken sandwich! Both were so good! We ll definitely be back!!

I read that this was one of the best spots to get a bushwhacker on the island and it did not disappoint. The drinks were strong and tasted amazing! The bar has a great vibe - the music selection was top tier and the chickens were just chilling. I easily could have stayed here all day long. Love the unique touches they put into their drinks and it seems like every drink on the menu has its own souvenir cup. If youre going on a trip to St. Thomas you have to take the time to stop here you wont regret it.

I think this place is over rated. Food was subpar but the drinks were good. I would only go again to get drinks

Don t let the bar set up deter you if you have kiddos! They have foods to accommodate them and are kid friendly. Our family enjoyed everything we ordered and we had fast, friendly service! There is popcorn chicken, fries, mozzarella sticks and cheese quesadillas for some usual kid options, cute drinks! Good vibey atmosphere too! Recommend checking them out!

This is by far the best bar in the middle of a parking lot that you will ever experience. Not only are the drinks great and the staff fantastic but the food is wonderful too.

I didnt rate the food cuz we only had drinks here! Fun place, nice bartenders, good music, good vibe. We had fun talking to other patrons and trying the Bushwhacker and the (Dominican) Mamajuana drinks. All the drinks come with cute little fuzzy pipecleaner creatures or can be served in a variety of funny glasses and mugs. Its all open-air with a view onto the street and other bars across the street. Lively on the weekend! Parking: There was some parking but be careful, a local resident informed us there are plainclothes parking lot attendants who can penalize you if you park there and walk across the street to other places.

I would not serve mediocre drinks and call it daily happy hour special. You basically sit in a parking lot!!! But again food is good enough to overlook the ecstatic. Service is average at best. Waitress had to take order, clean tables, deliver food and do that for ton of people. I would cut the shrub facing the street ..it covers the name.

Waited over 2 hours for food. Waitress took 45 minutes to bring me a bottle of water. Never received napkins or silverware, will never I repeat never come back here. Worse place we have visited @ St. Thomas. Sad because the reviews were great

Only place we ate at twice on our 7-Day stay. Food was great. Bartenders made great drinks.

Wanted to love it, but couldnt. Order Long Island Iced Tea. Topshelf. Not even a buzz. My main problem was I ordered mahi tacos. The fishy taste was so strong I couldnt eat it. Not to mention I pulled 3 bones out of the one piece I ate. :(

Im just referring to the food. If you like good cocktails, this is the place for you. If you want to eat something in peace, you might want to consider something else. We had the Maui burger and fish takos. Unfortunately the burger was quite dry because there was no sauce. The fries were good. The Takkos and the accompanying salad were not a highlight. In terms of taste, its more of a path. Still a nice place to have a snack.

Duffy s doesn t need another 5 star review, but having gone twice just to drink and once for the Lobster dinner, I feel qualified to add to this establishment s accolades. Best of all is the convivial atmosphere- the bartenders make you feel like a local even if it s your first time there, and the food and drinks are top-notch, too. The whole place is just fun!

Great way to spend a rainy afternoon. No need for a water view.. Lots of ambience and great music. Eric was a wonderful and cheerful server. Drinks were fun and delicious. Jerk chicken nachos were everything they should be and more. Will be thinking of these for quite a while. Conch fritters some of the best we ve had, served with two sauce choices. What a fun place and highly receommend. Dietary restrictions: Nachos ok for gluten free.

The drinks are definitely the best I had on the island. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. Seafood is not fresh and very tasteless.

Fun Fun and More Fun!!!

The sitting area outside was very dirty. I understand it s a part of the parking lot, but least they can do is to keep their area clean. I wouldn t be surprised to see a rat jump on me in the middle of dinner. Also, their hostesses, specially the lady who took care of us seemed frustrated and angry, even after I made a couple attempts to have friendly nice comments. Will not go back there.

We went to Duffy s on St Patrick s Day to hear a band. They set up in the parking lot adjacent and the space works really well. The staff was well prepared for a large crowd. We had food and drinks and it was very efficient for us sitting outside. The only challenging thing was that they don t have signs or any notice for customers regarding the outdoor seating so people kept trying to sit at tables before they were ready with the space.

Great experience! We came on a Wed, so got the lobster special. Wow! It was excellent! Glad I ordered the smallest size. Great service. A little difficult getting an open table (not many exist), but if youre willing, its worth the wait!

Awesome vibes, live band, cool drink and shot menu with souvenir cups if you want to pay a little extra. Food was decent. Drinks were good. Service was the only thing lacking a little bit, it would have been nice if the bartenders were a little more friendly.

Lively is a simply way of describing Duffys Love Shack, there is always something happening. I enjoyed the 32 spice jamaican jerk chicken entree, nice change from some of the places we ate at while visiting STT and STJ. Parking: Plenty of parking available earlier in the evening, if you come during prime time, good luck!

Best veg burger we had anywhere in St Thomas. Great place and service was very good. Its a small place and generally has long wait at night. Parking can be difficult to find too. And dont forget to ask for their spicy hot sauce. And while there obviously try their Painkiller.

So we have been here a couple times now and let me begin by saying that when you hear about how good the cheeseburger is, it s no joke. This is the most fun you can have in a parking lot, with great people, a good bar menu, and, plenty of delicious dishes to chose from. And, at least once, you have to try the cheeseburger - it s legit out of this world.

Make this a stop! Fried shrimp is amazing, the shark tank drink is worth it for the full show, everything Ive tried was something I would come back for! Even the napkins are soft and strong. Super friendly and helpful staff. I cant recommend it enough. A huge thank you to all employees, youre great! I might post another review later, as they were out of Mahi Mahi. But that is no fault of the restaurant. Parking: Its tough, but maybe a taxi is the best option. If thats all youre doing, youre set

As advertised, Duffys is a fun place to catch a drink. They also have food but we just drank and it was very good! Wide variety of island theme drinks and souvenir cups. The bathroom is small, behind the building that requires a key from the bar.

They dont call it the party in the parking lot for no reason. I highly recommend a Pu-Pu platter (youll thank me later). If youre looking for a fun atmosphere and good food, nobody does it better than Duffys. The music is always on point and their souvenir mugs are worth collecting. This place is worth a visit.

I stayed in a villa above Duffy s- it was one of my favorite spots!

Great spot for primarily rum drinks. Cool vibe and great bartenders make the visit fun. Food is tasty. If you can manage, go for Wednesday night lobster....delicious. They are fresh so it does depend on how the catch went that day. It took me three tries over the different trips to St. Thomas finally hit the jackpot, and I am so happy I persisted.

Busy area, drinks and food are excellent. Great for a quick lunch.

Bartender with long hair was on another level. So much energy and enthusiasm. Shack is what it is, so dont come expecting fine dining. Even live chickens wonder in and out. An array of randomly named cocktails and good choice of meals. Perfect venue from a ferry port/from st Johns Trunk Bay. Other places I found and liked was surf n turf and Sea la ve (more up market).

I only visit Duffys when they host live music, especially if its the Shane Prather Band

Great food and server were nice, the food order took a little too long (30-40 mins), but they were busy even after 8pm so as long as you dont mind to wait, the food was great! Its a popular place so they stay busy all the time. We came at night so there was a nice breeze, since we literally sit on the parking lot. Overall its a nice place to eat at Red Hooks.

Its very unfortunately that a very cool place served something that they call seafood but really is a collection of different frites. We took the recommendation of the waitress, something called PU PU and was really uneatable. The waitress gave me a chair super dirty at the limit that I had to wash my hands...The waitress served the food without dishes and we have to claim for that, receiving our dishes with tbe food on tbe table dishes 20 min later. After these facts, what I can add, beyond saying that I recommend to not go...

We walked in and not greeted. The only person working seemed to be the bartender. He didn t acknowledge us either. We sat ourselves and sat for 15 Minutes. Nothing. Guess what? - we let ourselves out. Get your act together! I guess our cash wasn t green enough. Food

This place was worth going more than once. Honestly our server made it fun, the drinks are served either in a regular cup or in a souvenir cup. The food was so delicious & so were the drinks. All around this was one of my favorite places while in St. Thomas !

11 years between visits. Duffys is a staple of St Thomas and Red Hook. Visited most recently during a short cruise stop. Wife and I rented a car. She has never been to St Thomas and we had 6 hours to get in as much as possible. I had few staples of places I wanted to make sure she saw. Duffys was high on the list. It looked like it never changed. Amazing Nacho, Great Drinks and always interesting and welcoming Bartenders. Never pass this place up if you are in Red Hook. Check for Lobster specials. Get there early on those days or you will be stand in a Parking heat for a while. Lastly, dont be ashamed to ask for the bathroom key or grossed out with the seat. Its all part of what makes this place special.

Catch of the day (Maui Maui) tacos were amazing. Almost gave up on Maui due to the fishy taste experiences. Here it was grilled to perfection, had no fishy taste, and nice portions. Service was nice as well. A little windy and a few chickens lurking but wouldn t stop me from coming back! Thanks!

If you re coming to St. Thomas is should be considered mandatory to visit the Love Shack. Great drinks, music, bartenders and food! Just don t expect to get a selection of fine wines:-) Cheers!

Best bushwackers in the Caribbean hands down. Tried a few other places but most just focused on the rum and not the complex flavors of the drink, the Kalhua, coconut, vanilla and yes the rum. Parking: There is plenty of free parking available but it fills up fast since there are other establishments around. Kid-friendliness: They have variety of kid friendly apps mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken were my sons favorite.

Its a fun place with great food! Would definitely go back. Its a good location in Red Hook near shops and other venues.

Good price food for what it is. Is more of a pub atmosphere come here for the drinks and the vibe. If you are available Wednesday they have a lobster special 1.5/lbs for $39 Food

One of the best chicken sandwiches Ive ever had! The mojito was also really good and got a cool souvenir cup to go with it. Unfortunately I forgot the bartenders name but he was awesome.

We stopped here before our flight out and oh man the food was sooo good. Seriously their fish and burgers were soooo tasty. I m really glad we made it to duffys during our trip

Just had lunch at Duffy s and it was delicious! I had the jerk chicken tacos and it was the perfect meal for a hot day. We also had the fresh catch of the day sandwich (Mahi) and the grouper, everyone cleared their plates! It was also nice that they had a plain cheese quesadilla for kids. The painkillers were delicious and the people that work there were really friendly and attentive too. I definitely recommend stopping in for drinks and food Kid-friendliness: So fun for kids! They brought over beaded necklaces and other cute trinkets to enjoy

When I say the food was amazing it was finger licking good! Drinks was a must The customer service was good our waiter was the only one so he was good because of busy could have been great but he was taking long than normal to arrive back however the second time he was great .. I will be returning as long as the food and drinks stay the same they have my business until next time

Duffys Love Shack was a vibe.. Its a hole in the wall kind of a joint.. The employees were great, food was good and the atmosphere was rocking.. I would go back again when in St. Thomas..

My fiancé and I went there this afternoon, and we loved this place. The bartender, JW, was amazing. He was so friendly , had so much information to share, and also gave us great tips about the island and other things to do. The place is small but it the atmosphere is so inviting. Also, we had the jerk chicken nachos, and they were delicious. The shots with the novelty shot glasses were fun also.

Whenever I visit USVI ..Duffy s is a must visit! If you heard about it believe the recommendations and reviews! The establishment is laid back good food and great people..locals and tourists! I try not to visit every night when I visit but it s hard to stay away!

Best parking lot bar that serves great food in the world! Everyone including the clientele were fantastic, friendly and awesome! We are in St. Thomas for a 4 day trip and will spend two of those nights here eating and drinking and having a ton of fun! The silly mugs you get to keep when you order specialty drinks are spectacular and make the whole getting drunk experience much more rewarding! Even if you do not drink, you have to come here and eat and have fun when you visit St Thomas !

Atmosphere and souvenir cups are fun. The grouper is a shame. Very thick, over cooked browned breading. Terrible. Good music. Sits in a parking lot.

Its exactly what it is - open air, small, casual. Excellent service and my Mahi Mahi grilled tacos were great.

Such a neat little spot with an awesome atmosphere! The food was delicious, the sunset burger was so fresh and flavorful. Two of the people in our group had the 2lb lobster that was on special and said it was also delicious. We were on our way to a different restaurant when our cab driver said we should go here instead, glad we did. Might have to wait a bit for a table, but it was a great experience!
