The Easterly is a shoreline culinary oasis offering innovative craft cocktails and wood-fired cuisine representative of the rustic Caribbean.
Best restaurant on the island! For context, we also dined at Sunset Grille and Oceana this week but the Easterly was our favorite. The ambiance and decor were beautiful, and the menu, value/portion size and service were excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our server Ajani made our experience very special and warm. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the mussels, fish spread, lamb chops, and seafood risotto. Highly recommend!
The atmosphere was very chill and boho vibes. I loved it! We ordered the lamb chops and the risotto and it was very tasty! Our server Riley was very attentive and friendly, such a plus! Highly recommend this place :)
Honestly came here from NYC for my birthday Riley made the experience so amazing, she is honestly so detailed, accommodating and just such a great vibe! The food was amazing as well !
This was the most upscale dining we experienced on St. Thomas. The first time we stopped here we were denied entry due to the restaurant being reserved for a private event. This was understandable as we did not call ahead and also had a group of 12 in need of accomodation. We stopped back a couple days later with a smaller party of 6 and were able to be seated right away. The menu was intriguing and had some very appealing dishes to offer. Unfortunately, the short ribs that caught my eye immediately were the only thing not available. Our group pretty much had one of everything on their small plates and large plates menu with zero complaints. Most of us even tried the octopus for the first time the was ordered. When the food is so good people are willing to try "Ocean Aliens" you know the chef deserves their title. The atmosphere and ambiance were perfect. We were easily shielded from the slight rain happening outside even though the building was a very open walled design to allow the breeze to flow through freely on those hot island nights. If price isn't a concern I recommend this place for your fancier dinner experience in St. Thomas.
Beautiful fancy restaurant. Little bit pricey for the food amount on the plate. Food was bland but the plate presentation was good. Staff accepted well the critics. Great for a city night date.
Recommend the fish spread and pork belly small plates! Very welcoming servers and a nice atmosphere. Prices are on the higher side, but it’s a really great meal and portion sizes are decent!
The staff was so welcoming, especially seeing as we had just come from a full day snorkeling and it showed in our attire. The prices are high, yes, and there are mandatory tips and credit service fees, but this is all stated up front on the menu and we factored it into our decision to dine there. I’d be surprised if they’d employ somebody who was t deserving on the tip as our waiter was so attentive, had fantastic follow through, and was genuinely warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely fantastic with fresh, local ingredients and a clearly seasonal menu to bring out the best of the flavors. We tried the avocado flatbread, the ahi salad, and the coconut curry mussels, and everything was cooked to perfection. The avocado flatbread was a true standout with a combination of flavors that was bold and refreshing and left an impression. This is an elevated dining experience that makes for a memorable meal in Red Hook, and right by the ferry for convenient access. The only drawback that may prevent us from returning would be the outdoor setting in the more challenging months, but if you’re vacationing in USVI I assume you’re used to the heat! This will definitely be a must-stop on any return trip for us!
So good we went twice! Samantha and the bar tender Johnathon were amazing! The service was exceptional, the food was amazing! The food, ambience and the overall vibe is incredible! Will definitely come again this is my spot now! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Not a bad place, worth a look. The reason for the 3 star review is because for these high end prices I expect the food to be cooked perfectly. Unfortunately it was not. 12oz NY strip for $60 ordered medium was over cooked and not enjoyable. On top of that for sides I ordered the wild mushrooms and brocollini at an extra cost of $25, but the meal already came with these items, I expect the server to know the dishes and point out the basics. I did point this all out to the server but he brought over the cheque with his 20% gratuity added. With a bill of $360 for 2 meals and a few drinks and I was very underwhelmed by the experience.
Beautiful space, delicious food & great service! Definitely recommend.
Amazing food and cocktails!!
The Easterly should be on everyones list in Red Hook for a fantastic meal. For starters, the restaurant is thoughtfully designed and aesthetically beautiful, with a great view of the boats on the water. From the host to our server (more on him in a bit), all members of the staff were attentive without being overbearing. The food was great, we had the ceviche, tamarind ribs (which fell off the bone) and the octopus as our starters. Of the three, we enjoyed the ribs the most. We splurged on the Caribbean lobster and got a side of risotto, and it was worth the cost. Our meal was complimented with great and inventive cocktails. Our server Ajani was a highlight. He recommended the ceviche and ribs, and said if we wanted to try something truly original to go for the Caribbean lobster. He was personable, professional and gave us a sweet treat for the road. If we came back to the Easterly and he was our server again, wed be thrilled! Lastly, we chatted with the manager on the way out and it was clear he was running a smooth operation. If you are looking for high end dining in Red Hook, this is the place to go.
Delicious food and outstanding service. The grilled romaine salad was especially delicious. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options available
Amazing food, first class service, gorgeous ambiance. We came just days after their new menu launch and it did not disappoint. From the delicious starters (we got the tamarind ribs, smoked fish spread, and the curry mussels), to the knock out entrees (while fish, risotto, lamb, and cowboy ribeye), to the light and refreshing sorbet trio, everything was *perfect* (*read in Martha Stewart voice). Thank you Ajani for the top notch table side service and thank you Jonathan for the beyond delicious cocktails. We ll be coming back soon!
Riley, my server was Amazing! The Tuna Crudo recommendation is quite honestly the best I have ever had. I used to work in Michelin star restaurants in NYC, I am judicious with such praise. And on that note, this restaurant should at least be Michelin Recommended. House baked bread is dangerous. The lobster tail with my Lamb Chops was tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned and the Chops were on part with any great steakhouse I have been to. The place is worth every penny.
My husband & I were in St. Thomas & had the pleasure of having dinner at The Easterly on Sunday, October 20. The first thing we noticed was how absolutely beautiful the restaurant is. It has a lovely island vibe with a beautiful view & smells of candlewood. After being seated we were immediately greeted by our wonderful waiter, Ajani. He was the friendliest & most attentive waiter we have ever had. So kind & able to answer any question we had. I had the Wood Grilled Octopus for an appetizer and my husband had the Afro-Latin Ceviche. Both we absolutely delicious! For main courses my husband had the Roasted Chicken while I had the Seafood Risotto. Again, both were spectacular. Everything was cooked to perfection & the seasoning was spot on. If you ever have the chance to eat at The Easterly, do so. You will not regret it.
Ajani was wonderful, grilled oysters were very nice. Lovely atmosphere!
Riley our waitress was a gem, lobster was amazing!
We loved this place!!! Riley our sever was amazing and she made us feel so welcomed! Thank you Riley for the great service we really appreciate it!
Good in general, but dont get the octopus. It is way too tough.
Best restaurant during our trip. I had the grilled lobster. It was pricey, but amazing. Parking was hard to find. I would go eat here again
Wow, first off this place is gorgeous. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it is the cutest place we saw in St. Thomas! While we waited for our party we were served drinks. Bob was our server and he was so attentive, kind and patient with our large party. We got the pink lady drink and it was delicious, not to mentions proceeds of it went to help breast cancer. Can t beat it! Wouldn t miss coming here if we come back! The food was great, pricey but everything on the island is. The seafood risotto was to die for and the shrimp tostadas were a delicious appetizer! The service made the prices worth every penny. No dirty dishes or empty cups sat on our table and no one had an empty drink at any time! I was certainly impressed!
Outstanding! From the ambiance, to the service, to the food! Out server Ajonny was wonderful! He and the whole team made it a true dining experience.
Perfect meal, great service, great drinks. We got a bunch of the small plates, can t go wrong!! Thank you so much to the staff, it was a great experience for my husbands birthday!
Bob was the best EVER!!!! He was so nice and was so knowledgeable about little things around the island! We were amazed at the manners and service here! 10/10!!
Dining at The Easterly was superb! The food was exquisite, music and ambiance just perfect, waterfront, and wonderful people! Highly recommend, we are definitely going back in our next stop to the islands!
Food was awesome! Brandon did a great job with service and was really good with my young kiddos. Parking: There is street parking and a parking garage on the other side of the block. Kid-friendliness: Great with my young kids! Knew to send toddler s food out first which was huge since she gets hangry.
Ajeni was an excellent server! We enjoyed our meal!
Everything was amazing from the hostesses, the ambiance , our server Kyle, the music, to the delicious food. I highly recommend this culinary delight. The Mahi-mahi was beyond fantastic! Don t miss out on this place.
The Easterly St. Thomas is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and luxurious accommodations. The attention to detail in every room is impeccable, making it feel both elegant and welcoming. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, especially Nick our bartender and Brandon the manger who even came to our table to talk to us, ensuring that every aspect of our dining was perfect.
Short summary: Good food, but the prices AND SURCHARGES are super high. Now details, venue to expensive for a salon without air conditioning, repellent is on the house, dont need to pay for it. Although the service was very good, but I should be the one who decide how much gratuity I should pay, not to impose the 20% service. Now the answer to that will ptobably be it is disclosed in the menu. Agree, but make it more prominent to the eyes of the people before getting to the table. The tiny letters in the menu doesnt reveal it on time. In addition a 4% if paying by card is charged, while the service charge, average in cards is approx., 1.5% to 3.5%, and it is a cost that, for the prices charged should be in the food. In addition consider that handling the payments through card, saves the venue the cost of handling cash. No travel to the bank risk.
Highly recommend The Easterly. Best meal on the island. Pricing is relative to the food quality and portions. Waitstaff and management were both excellent.
Absolutely amazing food and flavor profiles in their dishes. Highly recommend going here for great flavors
Very expensive for food that is nothing out of this world. Service with little friendliness. I wouldnt go back
I went 2 days ago. It does not have air conditioning. Well decorated. Very expensive and the food is not excellent. The champagne gave me a headache, it was of poor quality. I dont like that they include the tip in the ticket. I dont recommend it.
A 5/5 on everything. The food was 5 star and every dish- octopus, bread and spread, himachi and others were all over the top perfect and the only thing better than the food was the amazing waitress Ashlee- her energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail beats the 5 star food. Overall, amazing food, even more amazing ambience with a 10/5 waitress/service! Easterly should absolutely be on your St.John must-do list!
JB is the best!
5 stars to Noah. Excellent service and great food. Cool atmosphere and my girls loved it. Noah was very attentive and our The Notebook superstar was a hit around the restaurant. Give him a raise!
This restaurant is amazing. The food was so good. Our server Noah and support staff were on it. We will never not eat here when visiting St Thomas.
One of our favorite restaurants on the island!! JB was amazing, very attentive and paced the food/ wine perfectly. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!
My first time in St. Thomas and went here with friends. So so good!!! JB our server was great! Everything from the timing of the food to how he poured our water and wine. The attention to detail!!! The food was amazing!! Compliments to the chef!
We had the most incredible night at Easterly! JV was our server and he was enthusiastic and so much fun! We had a table of 10 and service was impeccable, as well as every dish we had! We visited in 2020 and it was closed so we were so excited it was open this year! We will definitely be back!
Excellent service, outstanding atmosphere, but a bit pricey for the quantity of food you get.
The Easterly was spot on with the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We had dinner ending of May. (Late post) it was packed it was just right. Will definitely dine again. Only down fall was the building next door and the entertainment guy was a but loud over powering The Easterly low key vibes. Other than that was awesome. Aryali was our server, she was excellent.
The Easterly isnt merely a restaurant; its an experience. From the moment you step through the doors, a symphony of refined details sets the stage for an exceptional evening. The ambiance is both sophisticated and welcoming, a perfect balance for a special occasion or a delightful night out. The menu itself is a celebration of fresh, seasonal ingredients, meticulously crafted by a team with a clear passion for culinary artistry. We began with the grilled oysters, each a briny bite accentuated by a touch of smoky char. The star of the show, however, was the shared pork rib chop. Its sheer size was impressive, but the true marvel lay in its succulence a testament to masterful cooking. Our son devoured the perfectly cooked kids steak, accompanied by creamy whipped potatoes and a delightful surprise: perfectly caramelized and crispy Brussels sprouts. Even the seemingly simple sides were elevated to new heights. For dessert, we indulged in the classic crème brûlée, its caramelized surface yielding to a luxuriously smooth custard. But the true standout was the special bread pudding, a revelation of textures and flavors. Our server, John, was the epitome of attentive service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. The Easterly is a resounding success, a restaurant that delivers on all fronts. We left not only satisfied, but genuinely impressed. A heartfelt recommendation for those seeking a taste of culinary excellence in a sophisticated setting.
This was a beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly. Overall a 5 star experience!
Average Food, very bad service. We had to literally clean our table and put our dishes to a side since the waiter did not care, and they dont care because they automatically will charge you a 20% service no matter what. We complain to the manager and she really did not care. Also Cockroach could be in your feet while dining. Not recommended at all!
JB was a great server and made our experience even more enjoyable. He was very helpful with dietary needs and menu items. Cool vibe. Suggest parking in the Port Authority lot, the area gets pretty congested at weekend dinner time. Don t follow the address used on Open Table, check the restaurant website for the accurate address.
Food and drinks were amazing. Our server JB was awesome!
Great spot. Noah made our evening!
Our bartender Noah was extremely helpful & attentive. Great service. Will definitely be back. Food
Jonathan was the best bartender and server. The dressed oysters were to die for! The shrimp tostadas....chefs kiss! Jonathans cocktail of the day was incredible!
The food was amazing our server JB really made the night though will definitely be back!
Came here after spending a day at St. Johns and wanted a quick bite to eat mainly oysters but we ended up ordering more. The food is a bit pricey so can definitely see this being more of a night out dinner then a place to stop by. Our server JD was great he was very attentive and made good conversation. WE got our drinks quick and oysters as well. We ended up ordering meals here because we were hungry and it was already getting late. We order steaks which were good cooked to specified temperature med rare which is hard to find sometimes, jerk shrimp tostadas , beef short rib.. Everything we ordered was pretty good the one draw back I think our group had was the watermelon salad was a little off. Drinks were 10 out of 10. Would recommend this place for a cute date night spot.
This was our favorite meal in St Thomas. Our server Ian was on point and the food was spectacular. The pork chop was the favorite entree and the crème brûlée was the favorite dessert. It was expensive but worth the price. The only downside was the heat as the restaurant is open air but all the fans were a nice reprieve.
Went here with my wife and two adult children. Best meal we ve had on the island. Delicious fresh fish dishes, inventive mockails and cocktails, divine desserts, impeccable service from Ian. Also great ambiance, including the music.
The ceviche is salty and bland...
Lucette is amazing as you can see! Please come eat and enjoy this beautiful smile
So beautiful, greate vibe, and excellent service. The food was delicious, i try the tamarind Ribs that plate was amazing. Food
Went in because everything else was closing OH G.O.D. the seafood risotto! I wanted to marry the chef. Cocktails are on point as well. Just be aware there s a a 24% surcharge that is not informed until you receive your check.
Great food and service, plus a good atmosphere.
I couldn t recommend this place any higher. The food was phenomenal, but the service was the real highlight. Noah was a pleasure, and really made our night.
Noah was a great waiter. Very attentive and good recommendations. The seafood risotto was great! Also great cocktails. I also noticed that the wait staff works great as a team. Will be back!!
SAMANTHAAAAA WAS AMAZING !! We had the Wagyu & the the most amazing desserts ALL her suggestion. LOVED our experience because of her amazing hosting Food : 5/5
The ambience and service was great! It was such a great experience which our waitress, Anjali, made even better. She was so sweet and attentive! The food was amazing too, definitely worth the prices! The beef ribs and chicken are just tooo good, thank you chef! Anyone complaining about prices has probably never been to a good restaurant in the islands. If you don t want to pay the 4% convenience fee, bring cash. If you do your research, most places in St. Thomas prefer/will only accept cash, it s not a surprise.
The yucca fries were good!
The food and service was absolutely amazing! Noah was our server and he was kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Great atmosphere too, with a nice breeze on the water! Highly recommend
Great place right in the heart of Red Hook. Had dinner during our stay in St. Thomas, and the food and service was fantastic. Our servers, Anjali and J.B., really did an amazing job....highly recommend!!
Food was great. JB gave good recommendations and was a phenomenal server. Chaela was very helpful and polite. Going back again soon
Loved the ambience of this place! Reminds me of Tulum with its boho chic decoration! The food and service were both so impressionable that my friend and I ended up eating here 2x back to back. The Brussels sprouts, the jerk shrimp tostadas, and the yucca fries were delicious. My friend who loves ceviche ordered the ceviche here and she didnt enjoy it as much. I didn t have a drink but I was so impressed they had this niche Puerto Rican rum I love so we took shots. Love the option for chilled shots especially since the island is so hot. The complimentary bread was good as well. The first night we went, we got complimentary homemade coconut macaron cookies and they were so good!! We went the next day and they let us know the cookies were not complimentary all the time so thank God we were lucky our first night there
The most amazing expresso I have ever had!!! Hands down!!! It is served with a house made biscotti and a rock candy stick...I had Wahoo for dinner and it was absolutely incredible!!! Brandon the bartender could not have been more accommodating! The atmosphere is nostalgic..Dont miss the opportunity to visit this gem while on island!
My family and I were looking forward to dining at The Easterly, a restaurant renowned for its upscale dining experience. Unfortunately, our anticipation was met with a series of disappointments that began the moment we arrived. Despite having made a reservation for 7:45 PM, we were not seated until 8:05 PM, a delay that set a less-than-ideal tone for the evening. This was particularly challenging as we were dining with two young children, for whom waiting can be especially difficult. Upon being seated, we found communication with our waitress to be a challenge; her rapid pace when explaining the specials made it nearly impossible for us to follow along, leaving us feeling disconnected from the full range of options available. The service continued to underwhelm when it came to timeliness. After ordering our drinks, a wait of 10 minutes ensued before their arrival. This delay paled in comparison, however, to the 40 minutes we waited for our appetizers, specifically the mussels, to be served. Following this, our entrees took an additional 20 minutes to reach our table. Such delays are difficult to reconcile in a fast-paced dining environment, let alone one that prides itself on a premium experience. Speaking of the dining experience, while The Easterly positions itself as a high-end establishment, the quality of both food and drinks was merely average, indistinguishable from what one might expect at any local dining spot. This mediocrity was all the more glaring given the premium pricing of the menu items. The essence of a high-end restaurant lies not only in its menu prices but in the caliber of its food, the efficiency of its service, and the overall dining experience it offers. Regrettably, The Easterly falls short of these expectations. For the level of service and quality received, the price paid was disproportionately high. Based on this experience, a reassessment of value for money is imperative. I had hoped for an evening that justified the costs, but left feeling that a more satisfying experience could have been had at a fraction of the price. In conclusion, while The Easterly aspires to high-end dining, our experience was marked by service delays and average culinary offerings that did not live up to the expectations set by its pricing or reputation. For discerning diners seeking a genuinely upscale experience, this visit was a reminder that high prices do not always guarantee high quality.
Amazing Amazing Amazing ! Best atmosphere ! Best service ! And in top amazing food !!! I do not remember when I had last time such amazing experience ! JB was 5 Star . Also manager great guy ! Everyone really so nice ! If You like dinner for 2 or big party dinner YES is one of the best restaurant in STThomas !!!
The food is overpriced. $160 for a small steak that was the special of the day. The waiter neglected to say the price. Our bill for 4 was over 600 and only 2 people drank beer. They automatically add 20% tip and solicit for more on the bill.
Tldr: Go elsewhere (see below for where). Let s start with the positives: very nice ambience and immaculate service. The front of house staff is clearly well trained and selected. However, I do not go to a restaurant for the ambience or for the service. As many Americans tend to forget, because they don t cook much at home, a restaurant should serve food that s better than what you can prepare at home. Things started out ok with a seafood tower. The oysters are flown in. The shrimp taste farmed and pre-prepared. The ceviche was not ceviche, but contained cooked octopus with some sad looking onions and peppers. The market lobster and snapper were OK. Both were strongly over seasoned. With 120 bucks for a a 2lb lobster and more than $80 for a grilled snapper - it was rather disappointing and can be prepared similarly if not better at cheaper establishments. The brussels sprouts were fried in the same oil as the plantain chips, which actually was OK. The rice was not particularly well-made. Dessert was by far the most disappointing. The so-called sorbet is nothing but frozen blended fruit juice. The so-called ganache was nothing but chocolate pudding, and finally the pineapple, banana crisp used, canned pineapple and stale, macadamia granola. It was stale to the point of being bitter. For an all inclusive dinner costing more than $400 for 2 people without any drinks, I expect much better food. Hire an actual chef and get some decent cooks - I d be willing to pay the same. Go to Hook d or for ambiance to 3 Palms down the block. You ll be happier.
Amazing. The vibe and food are just that. We took Chefs recommendation for surf & turf and it did not disappoint. The bar area inviting (you re able to dine there) and drink selection to suit any preference. Felt transported by caring and attentive staff to another level. Special occasion dining on the island, this spot is must. Note prices are reflective of the full experience.
Seafood risotto was supurb
Very cool place with great food and atmosphere.
This restaurant had some awesome food. The seafood risotto and seared ahi tuna was out of this world. The service was spot on and the atmosphere was great.
My favorite restaurant of my trip. The most seafood options I ve seen and everything made to perfection. Cocktails were excellent.
We went for dinner, I probably should have ordered a seafood dish as the $53 ribeye entree that was cooked right was small and thin with 3 small scoops of potatoes and a couple of sprigs of broccolini. Nicely high-ended decor but more like a bar with the open atmosphere it quite noisy from the street noise. I found myself having to shout and we were in the back by the water. I will say our server Riley was knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. I cant say the food I had there was the best or the cheapest but there are many other restaurants in Red Hook to choose from and St. Thomas is worth the trip.
Our waiter Noah was AMAZING! The food was amazing and so delicious and best place to come for Valentine s Day. When we was finishing our food and asking for a box Noah boxed our food up and he was amazing the entire time. Great place will definitely be coming here again
Great up and coming place! The Easterly brings a Greek/Mediterranean vibe to St Thomas. I can see it as a great place for a day party or a brunch DJ hangout worthy of Mykonos, Mallorca or Hamptons. Innovative food, attentive service and great decor! Well be back next time we are on the island.
The food was good but nothing special. We did four small plates to share. I would not recommend the grilled octopus unless you like extremely chewy food. About half of it was inedible. The curried mussels were fantastic. Drinks were good. Service was great. The traffic from the street makes it tough to forget youre right on the street. The back of the dinning room is probably better.
New York strip was tender and flavorful. I could have done without the broccoli that also had the chargrilled flavor, Drinks and atmosphere was good as well as service
There was a lobster There were plates Im not sure if anyone survived Dietary restrictions: Dont go if you cant eat
Dined here 3 of 7 nights. Blew away the food at the Ritz and any other meals we had.
Highly recommend. A delicious experience!!
The restaurant consistently impresses with its commitment to fresh local ingredients, especially notable in its seafood dishes. The ambiance, with its open-air setting and proximity to the water, adds to the charm, making each visit feel special. However, its important to mention a few drawbacks. The first is the cost The Easterly is quite expensive. Also, its open-air design means that, depending on the time of year, dining close to the water might attract no-see-um and other types of insects, although repellent is thoughtfully provided at the hostess stand. Our main concern, and the reason for our decision to stop frequenting The Easterly, lies in their billing practices. In addition to the already high prices, a mandatory 20% tip is added to the bill, which can be frustrating, particularly if the service doesnt match up but we understand why you would do that in large parties of four or more but not for a couple having dinner. More so, the imposition of a 4% convenience fee for using a credit card is making you have to carry a significant amount of cash to the restaurant and in our view, unacceptable. At such a high-end establishment, these costs should be integrated into the meal prices. This practice feels inappropriate for a business of this caliber and has influenced our decision to seek dining experiences elsewhere. Despite these negative points, The Easterly offers a wonderful dining experience. For those who are comfortable with the additional charges and carrying cash to pay for your meal, we recommend visiting for its exceptional food and ambiance. This balanced perspective will be reflected in our vacation guide currently under production to provide readers with an honest and comprehensive overview of what to expect at The Easterly.
Phenomenal oyster happy hour. Swank setting. Attentive staff. Will be back for dinner soon.
Got the best seafood experience at Saint Thomas! I got the grilled octopus and lobster of the day with two sides-sweet potato curry and tostones. It was extremely tasty. Loved the vibe and ambience of the place too. My wife got a vegan dish- bread with dips for apps. The bread was warm and melted in my mouth. So delicious! Highly recommend this place at Red Hook.
5 stars without any doubts. Beautiful interior design, knowledgeable staff! Food and drinks outstanding! Definitely recommending
A great pick for a wonderful meal in an open air establishment.
Way overpriced. Especially the wine. Seated at our table an hour past our reservation time. Miss all the small details- no bread before dinner, dessert for birthday etc etc Never again!!!!
All flash and no substance, worst meal and service I had in St. Thomas, waiter had to be chased down to get anything, will never return
A sadly disappointing experience on one of our coveted nights of vacation. Service attitude was they didn t care we were there. 40 minutes after we ordered they let us know they didn t have what we had ordered. After reordering another 30 minutes wait and this is a small place. If you were unhappy about something (hot cocktails, overcooked food) they would argue and do nothing for you. Some of the dishes were good, nothing stood out at all. It was highly irritating that 20% was automatically added to the check of a horrible dining experience and bad service. I rarely leave reviews but hoping this keeps you from making the same mistake. Can ruin an otherwise great day of vacation.
Kyle, our waiter was perfect. Shout to Nick, the manager. The pork belly app was perfect as was both the lobster and the baked snapper in banana leaf. Were I the Chef I would have been proud to serve that meal. As a customer I certainly was happy to eat it. Great experience.
Wonderful food and equally wonderful staff. In and out with our 8yo in under an hour. We came twice. We did the small plates.
Excellent experience. Asked for the biggest lobster. Definitely got what I asked for. (4lb)
The aesthetics of this place are 10/10! We came for oyster happy hour. Cocktails were great, grilled oysters even better. Waiter, Guiermo was very friendly and tentative! Will be going back for dinner!
Each of the dishes are filled with unique flavors and so delicious. Creative flavor combinations
Super cool and trendy location. The atmosphere is amazing! Cant wait to visit there again!!!
A true hidden gem. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery and is a quiet oasis with fine food and service. We were impressed by how everyone knew our name and patiently explained the drink & menu choices.
Not worth it. Way overpriced. $8 for a slim glass of pineapple juice that was 90% ice, $5 for one slice of flat bread that was undercooked. Mixto coctele (ceviche) was too sour, ribeye at $80 and lamb at $61, I m sure there are better restaurants in St. Thomas to spend your money and get better quality. My first time in St. Thomas to get charged extra 3.5% for paying by credit card. The pork ribs was good though. Restroom was clean.
Lee was a great server and gave us some good tips of the island. the food was great ! I had oysters ,steak ribeye ,Caipirinha , and ceviche. It was all five-star
Awesome place. It was a little chilly and there was no one left in the restaurant but my table and management refused to turn fans off. O well! Still was an awesome place. Service was good
My wife and I had an amazing experience at the Easterly. The atmosphere was welcoming and laid back. The staff were all attentive and informative. The cocktails were delicious, and the food was unbelievable. This place is a MUST when youre in Red hook
Was recently here for my birthday. I had great company and perfect weather however the restaurant experience was not what I remember. We ordered many items which were delish. The service was luke warm and it made for a sub-par experience. I know we all have our days and I have worked in the service industry many years but this could have been avoided. Just giving honest feedback.
New love for Oysters!! All the food was amazing!
Made a reservation that asked for a special occasion. We put honeymoon in our request slot. The restaurant did not mention anything. When we brought it up they said the only thing they would do would be to put a sparkler in a desert if we bought it. Felt rushed in our section that had plants hitting us in the face while eating. If you have a small party they will drop your priority when a large table comes next to you. Food is expensive and lower quality than expected. Very small portions our chips came out soggy with the smoked fish appetizer. Fish came on top of a tomato side that felt more like a tomato soup with mashed potatoes on it. Money is better spent on other restaurants around the island. Recommendation sunset grill (half the price and better quality/service) Overall not what we expected for the last dinner of our honeymoon vacation.
The food here is amazing but what made our dining experience even better was Dexter as our server! He was attentive, friendly, and able to recommend stuff off the menu! Only downside was we didn t eat here earlier in our vacation!
We took the ferry from St John to The Easterly on St Thomas. Short walk from ferry to restaurant. We didn t have reservations but we re seated at the bar! Our Server/ Bartender Sam was awesome! Appreciate his recommendations!! Fine dinning experience! Delicious cuisine from appetizers, entrees and desserts! Cocktails refreshing! Beautiful decor! Loved the ambiance! Highly recommended!
Our first time here we didnt have reservations but were able to be seated at the bar. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. Food was good but the prices were out of this world... $$$
Pricy, but you get what you pay for
Very delicious they definitely know what they re doing. If you haven t tried this restaurant, you better put it on your list while you re on your vacation. It s a must
The atmosphere is so very cool, food and drinks are delicious, prices are high but c mon you re on vacation! Just do it!
GREAT Steak!
hard meh . drinks - weak. surf & turf - $175. at those prices folks should expect a memorable meal. this was about as good as you should expect from red lobster. smoked fish dip is a hard no - i d recommend any dive bar in florida way before this. disappointing. head to St. John
We had an amazing experience at The Easterly. We ordered spreads, Tostones, smoked fish spread, Fennel salad, Jerk grilled shrimp,Pomme Gratin, crispy Brussel sprouts, and Whole fish. I would highly recommend all of these, and they were delicious. Andy ( our server ) was amazing, nice, and funny. This restaurant gets all of their fish local ( from the ocean ). They have drinks for kids and adults. This restaurant is a Great place and I would recommend.
Great food, even better ambiance. Service is top notch- have always loved red hook and the easterly is a great addition!
Good cocktails. Below average meats. Flank steak is really below average.
Amazing food and service!
One of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant on the island. I can highly recommend. Ask for the Manager Austin or our favorite waiter, Kyle, and tell them the crew from Dayton, OH sent you. The 2lb lobster was excellent!
Food was amazing, the service in general was very mediocre, they are short of staff... server was good but all the other service around him was terrible, the drinks were bad, the hosts deny a table because they just had two servers.... after I mentioned they were plenty of times available online, then I had to get my reservation, right there in the restaurant because she said they were all book for the night, nothing available because they were short of staff...?? I got sat 15 min earlier than my reservation time and they have the audacity to ask for the whole order because the kitchen closes in 15 min....what if I got there at my reservation time? The dinner was going to be closed then? It doesnt make any sense and is a very bad impression about the restaurant, i completely lost my appetite after that and I didnt want to rush and be push to pick something kick when I literally just got sat.
We ordered the lobster, lamb and chicken. The lobster was good but quite expensive. We wanted the lamb to be well done but thought that it was a little rare. There werent a lot of options for vegetarians.
Best food we had on the island! We ordered the pork chop, ahi crudo, sticky pork belly, pork ribs, jerk grilled shrimp, and grilled avacado and all of it was FANTASTIC. Also big shout out to Jonathan and Chelsea who served us at the bar and were wonderful!
The Easterly in St. Thomas is a must-visit restaurant for an exceptional dining experience. The menu caters to all tastes, and everything we ordered was delicious and prepared perfectly. The outstanding service from the knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff was exceptional. Our waiter made great recommendations, and the beautiful decor and relaxed ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Easterly for great food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere.
Fresh and delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. Wait staff attentive and friendly. Recommended in the Sapphire Beach/Red Hook area.
Great food and service. Happy hour is one of the best (half off on wine). Bartender (forgot his name), young adult, very knowledgeable about the food, professional, and friendly. Moy is a server there and he also has a great personality. Small and quaint place. Parking is a bit difficult. Overall, no complaints. I would go back.
extremely underwhelming, bland, overpriced and disappointing. Make a reservation at Oceana instead.
Our waitress Riley was awesome. Food was amazing. Highly recommended - Pork Chops and Ceviche
Was a wonderful atmosphere, but food was alright. The Cravin Crab raised the bar on my sea food taste as the food there was PHENOMENAL!! I felt the prices were a little much but probably paid those prices based on the Ambience .
Amazing food and great atmosphere! Highly recommended for an amazing time.
Best food on the island hands down and Nick did such a great job, especially since it was his first night as a server! The drinks are amazing the seafood is wonderful, everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend. Note this is a complete outdoor (covered) venue.
In our opinion this was the only (once inside) really nice restaurant in Red Hook for dinner with an open air effect. Water view through the bushes yet on the harbor waterfront. Servers decor seemed out of place for the setting and price. Very pricy steaks were just ok, but broccoli was unappetizing. $200 plus meal with two cocktails.
We lucked up choosing The Easterly for our anniversary dinner. Surf and turf with Ribeye and Caribbean lobster was amazing. Service was excellent from the host, to the server, to the manager checking in. Strongly recommend.
Had an excellent dinner here. Will be back.
This restaurant is upscale, and they expect you to make a reservation. This is something we did not realize before going there. The women running the floor said we couldnt get a table because all the tables were reserved. So we had to sit at the bar, not a big deal, except half the restaurant tables stayed empty the whole time we were there. Whoever is running the floor isnt doing that great of a job. My food was OK (I got the lamb chops), and my husband loved his food (he got the lobster). The drinks were a little weird for my taste (theyre into the whole mixology of a drink), but many people would love the different drinks. The bartenders were great and got a fat tip!
This is one of the better restaurants on island. The vibes are immaculate, and they have a superb oyster happy hour along with high caliber drinks. The food on the regular menu is also good if maybe at times a little overpriced. That s the islands for you. Service has been fantastic every time I ve gone. They re very friendly and have great recommendations overall. This place is def worth checking out if you re in east end, and worth a detour even if you re not. It s one of the few restaurants that feels new and fresh on this island that is for the most part stuck in the past food wise. Highly recommend just don t get the tuna.
Dined at The Easterly. The decor was pretty, the food was terrible and the staff was not accommodating. This restaurant is over priced for the quality of food. Extremely disappointed!!!
Like the bar service. Good oysters
Not cheap but classy place
I would say that this is one of the more upscale restaurants on the island, but it s not worth the price. We had reservations for 8:00pm and showed up about 25 minutes early, they said it would be a little while before our table was ready. We sat there for 25 more minutes and they finally set us at a 7 top that had been opened the whole time. The food was ok. I had the ribeye and it was cooked over wood which overpowered the flavor of the steak.
Beautiful place and the chef came out to our table and I loved that. The bar makes lovely drinks. If you like seasoned food I would say try Caribbean Fish Market. The quality of the fish (grouper) was great. Beautiful restaurant
Decent food but have to give 2 stars for mandatory 20% gratuity on check. That s illegal.
I brought my girlfriend and my mother to The Easterly for our 2 year anniversary. The Easterly is by far one of the best places we ate at on our 2 week trip in St Thomas. We had an oyster starter which was great and I ordered the Yellowfin Tuna. We each loved our food and drinks and the wait staff were on point. This place is also very lovely on the inside and offers a bubble to the noise you hear on the busy street, while also having no windows. Please note: This is a good option for dates, however this is $$$. Enjoy!
Don t come here if you re expecting a good portion for the price and some SEASONED food!! I fr loved our server, awesome guy but the plates were absurdly small. Mash potatoes: bland. steak: bland. Fish? bland. Just not worth it to me.
I had a conversation with the manager about these concerns I had. Dinner at 5pm and only one server. An hour later, only one server - she had 6 tables and was snowed. I had to ask her what the MP was for the lobster as well as surf and turf. Charged for drink refills and never got the final refills, once again snowed. My 2 pound lobster came out with no butter and I had to get up and ask the hostess to get me some. No options on how the Brussel sprouts could be cooked - grilled, sautéed, baked - no, they came out boiled. Extremely disappointed in both the service, quality and value of the Easterly. Extremely overpriced. Then to top everything off - the bill had a 4% non-cash service charge along with a 20% gratuity - for 2 people. Im all for tipping generously for great service but not having the option of rating the service I received and tipping appropriately I find very unethical.
We have been going to the Easterly for the last few years (3) as part of our annual trip to the islands, but this year it was ridiculous. It took about an hour and a half to get our entrees, the food was cold when it came out, our waitress seemed to be working every table in the restaurant, we were charged individually for every soda refill (without clarification of that fact before seeing the bill) and the simplest dessert of vanilla ice cream was all but forgotten as the rest of the table received dessert, leaving 1 person to wait until the check arrived to have dessert (and that was after flagging down staff to remind them that it was ordered and not received). When the check was brought out, it was presented as 1 check for the entire table without previous verification. Upon request, the check was divided amongst the couples, but when the checks arrived they were mixed up and incorrect. A complaint was made with the manager on duty who only asked if wed ever complained to our waitress. He was informed that we had not complained prior due to the length of time it took to even get dinner served. No apology was given by the manager, nor any compensation given for the poor quality of dinner etc... When the combined ticket crawls north of $1,500, better service and food are expected. Many from our party have already said that they wont be returning to the Easterly. This sentiment was echoed by another table of (4) customers that left at the same time we made our departure. Very very disappointing
Very nice place to eat
Incredible experience all around. Some of the best food Ive had anywhere. Décor is top notch...just beautiful.
Service was extremely bad. Weve had far better at Applebees. We prebussed our own table, food didnt come out together, water wasnt refilled, no offer for a second round of drinks - just bad all the way around. Very disappointing for the $40-$50 entrees and 20% included gratuity. There are too many good options for great food on the island to return to this place. Maybe for a cocktail at the bar.
Nice ambiance. Open air. No a.c., service was great tho. Lobster delish. Small portions super expensive for what you get. No bread or side salad included. Alot of menu options they were out of. Quite disappointing.. since not crowded and at 6pm for dinner.
Short rib was amazing!
So disappointed in the service. As former service industry workers, it takes a lot to frustrate us in a restaurant. A situation that could have been easily resolved was not. The result was that a pleasant dinner turned into an unpleasant experience. Go somewhere else instead.
My family trip for my 50 bday and thanksgiving dinner was ruined because restaurant accepted our reservations thru Resy app that was reminded and confirmed yet when we arrived there , restaurant was closed. I found in spam an email that was sent to me by restaurant that they changed booking platform. No phone call, no text. Just an email that obviously went into spam. I emailed them 2 days ago and received no apology. Worst customer service ever experienced!
This is one of those places that make you think they are great. Expensive, fancy menu. Different and exotic items. However, what it is, is a disappointment. Waiter camer around very sparingly. I ordered the New York Strip, was a good steak. However, no reason to pay that price for it when the restaurant a block up made a better steak. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant to tell your friends you ordered the $150 Waygu steak, this is the place for you. If you want quality and quantity...skip over it and go to any of the other places in Red Hook.
Loved LOVED everything about this place. It is a whole vibe! Did lobster of the day and fresh catch of the day and we were in heaven!
Great atmosphere and good service. Food was just ok for the price.
Flavorful steak, the risotto is incredible. Server was very nice and we received great service
One of the best meals Ive had on the island. A bit pricey, but the food was top notch. The carribean lobster, flank steak and catch of the day(mahi mahi).
Easily the best food and service in town. Fine dining without being pretentious and helpful for kids and picky eaters. Our best meal by far on the island.
The food and service was AMAZING! I highly recommend.
Wonderful service, incredible space. Delicious food. Cant ask for more.
Sam and Joe were fantastic at the bar. By far the best restaurant experience on the island. Can t recommend it enough!
AMAZING!!! We ordered way too much, but loved it all! The grilled oysters & crispy brussel sprouts were my personal favorite, but everything we ordered was spectacular. Happy Hour has very reasonable drinks & oysters prices, so try and get there for that if you can. Our waiter Johnny took amazing care of us! Answered lots of questions, gave recommendations and all around had a wonderful personality. Cant wait to eat here again!
The service is absolutely terrible. The food and setting are nice but frankly not worth the bad vibes and attitude for the price.
This place was amazing! The staff were all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their menu! They also have some amazing drinks! We went for the shared plates of the grilled octopus, the pork belly, and the mussels and they were absolutely amazing! We also had a dozen of the chefs choice of oysters on the half shell, which were delicious and incredibly fresh!
The food, service, and ambience are always impeccable. This restaurant is consistently on top of their game, which has proved difficult for other restaurants on St. Thomas. I highly recommend this place, definitely a favorite!
Amazing ambience, very kind staff, wonderful dishes. The starters are amazing, fabulous Caribbean taste, mussels are embedded in a very special sauce and the oysters from Canada are quite good. I will try next time the glazed ribs. They have a great wine selection and the bartender prepared a very improvised and amazing version of Carajillo. The whole restaurant is a beautiful experience in this island. Definitely visiting again.
This was the worst meal we had in St Thomas, everything was charred so badly the taste was that of burnt food. Not enough seasonings and the oysters where smaller than gulf scallops( the size of a quarter at best) ordered prawns that were 22 dollars and got 3 large size shrimp. I would of given NO stars but our waitress was awesome.
The service, food and atmosphere were amazing!!! Hand crafted drinks and fresh one of a kind entrees n apps!
We have eaten here plenty of times. The food is good. The problem is they charge a 25 dollar per person cancelation fee if your plans change or someone gets ill and cant make it even if you cancel 12 hours in advance. There is a bunch of other places in Redhook with great food and service.
It took about forty five minutes to get our market fish and it was $75 for the fish alone and then had to fight the flies to eat it first. Not super happy otherwise it seems like a nice restaurant we will probably give it another chance since there arent many options.
My wife and I went here for dinner. The host went above and beyond to setup a reservation same day for me and placed us in a great romantic location. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. The food is good, but the portion is not worth the price $44 for catch of the day platter.
Great place great staff love this place amazing phenomenal
Food was insanely delicious. Cocktails were great!
One of the best meals of my life. The oysters were amazing. Every small plate we tried from the octopus to the ribs were top notch. Service was excellent. Cocktails were beautiful and the atmosphere is gorgeous.
My Wife and I had an amazing experience. Great food! Excellent service from Sarina! We will definitely recommend this establishment to all friends and family.
Food was good, not Great. Service excellent. Very pricy for what we got. Thet were out of water and Crown Royal
Food was excellent. Loved the papaya salad, glazed ribs, flank steak, and the dessert! Thanks so much for a great dinner.
So pleasantly surprised by THE BEST restaurant on St. Thomas island. The food, service, and cocktails were second to none. Finally we found some good food and a good ambience on the island! We will be back. Thank you!
We just had the grilled oysters they were amazing and so is the staff!
Ive lived and eaten in Philadelphia and Boston for the last dozen years or so, and this was probably the best meal Ive ever had. The swordfish daily catch special was incredible. My wife got the flank steak and it was also superb. Bar service was also top notch.
Wow ! Blown-away that we just had best oysters of our life! Wife said it & I agreed then guy next to me said same thing like 30 minutes later I was like that s impressive b/c I m from gulf coast & eat oysters all the time & he was like I m from New England do same difference Also threat atmosphere, service, Brussels & ribs!! Highly recommend!!
We absolutely loved our experience here! Sat at the bar during happy hour and had a spectacular meal. Our server Sam was knowledgeable and very friendly. He shared his favorites and they did not disappoint. We loved being tucked back from the road and felt like we were in a charming hideaway. The drinks were delicious and refreshing! Thank you!
Atmosphere, food quality, and service was astounding and some of the best Ive ever had. Entrées were prepared with care and cooked to perfection, definitely a business who prides themselves in image and quality service. My group had 9 people and not a single person had anything to say but amazing about their meal and the service. The specialty drinks on the menu are a little different than your average drink and at first, the drinks that about half the table got were not good at all, but they happily swapped out the drinks we were not enjoying with another drink of choice at NO CHARGE. Not liking the drinks we ordered was of course our opinion but the honored their policy of swapping out or drinks with another. My steak was cooked to perfection at medium, was very tender, and full of flavor. I sampled other Entrées from some of the others I was dining with and theirs was excellent as well. I would absolutely dine at the Easterly again and it is an excellent choice for higher-end dinners and special occasions. WARNING: They will not split checks. The only options they have are splitting the bill 3 even ways or all on one tab.
We were very excited to eat here for our 1 year wedding anniversary dinner. When we sat down, we were greeted by a young gentlemen who stated he was not our server but was helping our server out while she caught up. There were 3 other tables in the entire restaurant at the time (a six top, a four top and a two top) plus two individuals seated at the bar. We ordered drinks (a mocktail and a glass of wine) that took almost 20 minutes to get. At this point our server had still not been by. The young man came over again to read us the specials. On the menu it states Caribbean fresh catch . The server told us the fresh catch was salmon, which is not a Caribbean fish at all. We were disappointed because that is why we selected this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. 15 more minutes go by and our server finally greets us. At this point we have been in the restaurant for nearly 40 minutes and are hungry. We forgo the appetizers because we are now just ready to order. My husband ordered the salmon (which was extremely bland, no flavor whatsoever, extremely undercooked in the center, and completely cold.) The potatoes were good but not good enough to save the dish. I ordered the pork chop which was also cold and flavorless. I did enjoy the brussel sprouts and tiny chop sweet potatoes but again not enough to save the dish when the main portion is without flavor. Our bill was $117 and to be honest, based on the quality (or lack there of) I don t feel the meal was worth a dime over $50. I will absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Overall 2/10 experience.
We absolutely loved The Easterly. The food, atmosphere, and cocktails were all amazing! If you go to St. Thomas you have to eat here! Our waitress, Serena, was also awesome!
Crying while writing this review moves mountains. This was the absolute best resturant Ive ever been too in my entire life. Everything was prepared absolutely perfect and Serena our sever did the most outstanding job I could have ever asked for. There is no place in the world Id ever go to for the best service and food. I couldnt tell you how good this place is, you just have to experice it.
Ate here four times during my stay at Sapphire Village. This is the best meal in Red Hook, no comparisons. It is a bit overpriced but honestly you re paying not to be disappointed. A couple highlights are the mezcal cocktail, the short ribs, and the Caribbean lobster. A couple disappointments were cocktails inconsistent (a Yes, Queen tasted very different upon second visit, one visit they were out of the bonafide bootlegger, and the bananadine is just meh), the whole fried fish was gorgeous but very plain tasting and not worth $50/pound, and desserts need work (rum cake with pineapple sorbet arrived at table as grilled toasted rum cake with vanilla ice cream and the banana skillet was basically a granola mush). I do suggest going here. I ll go back if I end up here again. I hope the reviews are used as growth opportunities and this place keeps trying to beat itself.
Have the best oysters in the island...
The lobster was overcooked, expensive and with no flavor. The plantains dry and with no flavor at all, they should be little more ripe in order to taste good. The papaya salad does not have papaya at all, only in the dressing and you cant even notice it.
Great food & service! The waiter Sam was excellent! He crafted drinks not on the menu and recommended Great small plates from the menu! Id definitely return it Im in the area again!
This place is incredible. We arrived with a party of 7 and they found a way to accommodate us, while still giving fast service. Highly recommend this place and the pork ribs/ ceviche are incredible
Our entire dining experience was fantastic, from the hostesses to the servers. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing! My husband and I came for our anniversary and felt beyond special. Honestly, we felt like family while dining and we cannot wait to come back!
The lobster was delicious! Completely gorgeous ambiance and great portions. Would eat there again.
We came in right soon after they had opened, man we were in for a surprise, the attention to detail was phenomenal,
Very Good place. No kids menu. 50$ a lb lobster! Andy Our waiter was a bit cocky but very upscale restaurant. Parking was a bit of a problem to find a spot too. Taxi might be best.
Had a wonderful time here, the staff and food was amazing.
Sadly to say looking for a good restaurant which seems too hard to find here in St. Thomas the bartender who serviced us was excellent but it took over an hour for us to get our food and the chicken was extremely dry also would had gave the bartender a better tip if he hadn t put tip on our check but I think he was concerned how long it took for us to get our meal only would recommend this restaurant if you want dry chicken and very slow service
This restaurant is awesome. Food is great, beautiful space, and the staff were on top of their game. Tuna tartare, half chicken, and sticky ribs were all delicious. Kept wanting more. It s worth a stop and located right in Red Hook. It s a good idea to make reservations in advance.
There were plenty of dining room tables available, but we were asked to sit at the bar despite making a reservation. We went for the oysters based off previous reviews, and they were average at best, so a major let down there. The ambiance of the place was nice, but the staff on hand werent very friendly. The price point doesnt match the food quality or overall experience.
Pricey. But I enjoyed my meal. Nice craft cocktails
Great food and service!
Manager is RUDE and very arrogant. Longer curly hair white guy. Definitely not customer friendly. Our waiter was AMAZING so can t take that away from him. We had caught fish in a charter and this restaurant says they ll cook it. But they fail to tell you that even if you provide the meat you still are charged full price for veggies and prep. So we were charged $44 each and provided the fish. But the bigger issue is veggies were so burnt you couldn t eat and fish dried out. Maybe if it was edible, melt in your mouth we d have NO issue with price. But when we mentioned to manager food is burnt he said it s wood fired and meant to be and shrugged his shoulder. We ordered jerk shrimp and Croquettes and those were really good. Definitely a HUGE disconnect between appetizers and main course preparation. Oh and the Pomme Gratin potato is literally 1/2 a potato sliced thin on appetizer plate for 12 bucks not worth it!!Cocktails were also really good! Just beware! We eat fine dining a lot but will not return for burnt food. Money isn t the issue it s the quality and manager attitude. Main course is AWFUL!!!! The dark things are burnt brussel sprouts.
Love this place! Upscale dining and bar experience. Interesting unique craft cocktails and fantastic menu. Apps at the bar is a fun way to try it. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgable about cocktails as well as the menu. Suggested items were spot on. Many of the menu items change slightly with fresh catch each night. For example, the fish croquettes might be made with snapper one night and wahoo a different night. But the servers explain any changes. Great experience!
Great food and bartenders. They do charge a 20% service. Would definitely eat there again.
Amazing food and great place
Fantastic restaurant! Johnathan at the bar is a fantastic bartender and server. We ate here twice while staying on St. Thomas and it was delicious both times. The mussels are awesome!
Drinks were great. Food is okay. The lobster is really good according to my friend. I had the snapper, wasn t worth the $50 because I had to add salt and pepper lol
We came during the oyster happy hour and sat at the bar. Loved the ambiance and the cocktails are amazing.
We ate there last night and it was amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and very much up to speed on the menu. I had the flank steak and my wife had the catch of the day, Wahoo fish. Both were cooked to perfection. Only knock(small one!) Is it was a bit pricey. But that wasnt unexpected. We definitely got our moneys worth.
I was very disappointed in the quality of the food, especially considering the price tag. When ordering appetizers I first ordered the octopus and the server suggested I not, so I ordered the pork belly instead and ended up very disappointed. I then ordered the surf and turf and my lobster was shriveled up. Also, the server was fairly inexperienced and watching him try to open a bottle of wine was very entertaining, but he was a nice kid.
Wonderful place to eat in St Thomas after a long distant flight. Stopped by near the closing end of the restaurant so there was no wait time. After few minutes, we got a table. Pork-Rib Chop is highly recommended. The dish is so flavorfully prepared - from the words of a waiter, it takes 2-3 days to prepare the pork. The meat is so tender paired with roasted brussel sprout, and sauce. At the recommendation of the waiter, we also tried Sticky Pork Belly which is also very good.
The food was great, especially the presentation of the entrees.
