Peking House is a popular family owned Chinese restaurant in Regina, Saskatchewan since 1984. For over 40 years, the friendly service employees have been serving delicious authentic Chinese food with well over 100 items as well as an assortment of lunch and dinner combinations on the restaurant and take-out menus. There is also a full-licensed bar and a variety of beverage choices. Conveniently located at the edge of downtown, this restaurant is an excellent choice whether it be taking a lunch break from work downtown, a dinner for families and friends, or whatever the occasion. We welcome group events here for birthdays, banquets, office parties, weddings, celebrations, and more. Services include dine-in, reservations, take-out.
I ordered bbq sliced pork and it was ok. I was expecting something exquisite, something more than steamed pork that's sliced. Something with more depth of flavour. This restaurant needs to up its game seriously. I'm willing to come back to try Peking duck, hopefully that will redeem this place
What an absolute pleasure! Recently traveled to Regina and had some family out for dinner on a miserable night. Not all made it but let me tell you, they missed one of the best prepared and delicious Chinese dinners I have had and challenging Richmond, BC for top chinese sea food experience. From the hot and sour soup to the roast duck, to the scallops in black bean sauce to the shrimp with snow peas and everything else in between. Absolutely the best! Thank you to the servers and especially to the chefs who treated us to a great meal.
Ordered delivery this evening for the first time from this restaurant. I was so happy I had to phone and thank Peking House for such a wonderful meal. I've never had their food before, but they now have a customer for life. I highly recommend it.
I have been here on occasion during lunch with coworkers. Usually ordering the combination lunches to get a feeling of their food. I don't typically order traditional Chinese food for lunch meals. I am very hard on Chinese restaurants reviews because I grew up in a Chinese restaurant and know what I like and do not like. Especially since I am trying to seek out that place that makes me remember my past in taste. Which obviously has been hard to find. Not much has changed from the last time, some foods are saucier than others, really catering to the non-chinese taste buds. Do not get me wrong. The food is ok but for me, but others will enjoy it. I am just looking for something that I can't seem to find in Chinese restaurants with their flavours of their dishes. This is why my review is a bit harsh. This place has been in business for 40 years. I do remember coming here with my dad when I was much younger and we were not impressed with their traditional Chinese food at that time, and never came back whenever we were in town for supplies or appointments. Which was often.
My daughter and I had supper. We were treated very kind, and the service was great, Ordered our food, and it was on our table in 10 min. I don't think anyone should buy a can of pop. Cause it was like $3.00 that's like 36.00 for a case. That was the only thing I didn't understand. Everything else was amazing 👏 🤩
Peking House is one of my favorite places to eat in Regina, not just because of their delicious food but more so the exceptional customer service they steadily provide. This last visit they were busy with a full restaurant but seated us as soon as they could. Wonderful experience and meal. Must try for first timers, I recommend.
My dining experience at Peking House was exceptional! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Yang Chow fried rice and seafood hot plate, and they were both outstanding and my favorite. The rice was perfectly cooked and the seafood hot plate was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Peking House to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine and a great dining experience here in Regina downtown.
This is a restaurant specialising in Beijing cuisine that I thoroughly enjoyed. When our family came to eat, the staff was attentive, dedicated, and carefully guided about the food. They didn't leave us alone especially considering the fact that there were only two of us and one guest table on that Monday. When it comes to food, the food here is outstanding for my family because the dishes we ordered were neither too salty nor too sweet. Also, the fish maw and crab soup, yang chou fried rice, and bbq duck are all excellent.
The BEST Chinese food in Regina; always! After having not visited for more than a few years I can say they still have the best food. Wheelchair accessibility: If you are mobility restricted you should have no difficulties getting into Peking House.
Love their authentic Asian food ..we usually order the Special chow mein, Seafood basa hot plate or Seafood hot plate, BBQ duck, Yang chow fried rice and the cold plate combo cuttle fish/jelly fish/pork hock.
Best chinese food ever EDIT: Its still awesome very good food Food
This is the best Chinese food in Regina. Nothing else needs to be said. I only wish they made egg rolls.
I am sorry for the 1 start but what I ve asked they never give what I ve asked! First order and last. I ve ordered over $600cad knowing it isn t much but do what people asked, I wasn t pleased. Wish I can recommended but just watch when you order. Hope this will smart em up.
I ate at a good Tang restaurant in Regina. It tasted good. I heard it was opened by Vietnamese overseas Chinese. The cold shredded jellyfish, beef tendon, braised pork with pickled vegetables, stuffed green peppers, and stuffed eggplants are delicious.
Excellent service and great food
Good food Friendly staff Food
It was my first time eating their. It is not that delicious. My friends said that before it was so tasty. But now, the taste was really different. Hope to experience the taste that they are telling me.
Never a bad experience
Very busy at lunch. Staff did a great job serving the large lunch crowd.
Very delicious food. Reccomend giving this place a try Food
Nice food and great services. I love the special stir fried rice noodles.
We just waited at the door to be sat for 5 min. There were 3 people setting up 1 table and many staff were passing by us. When we asked for a table we were rudely answered by the staff. Ive had rude service there before but thats it. We are done with this place.
Nice Chinese food restaurant, service was excellent, food was good, price acceptable.
We ordered a dinner for six and the food was absolutely horrible. You could spoon out the grease from the bottom of the container from the deep fried shrimp and spring rolls. Was a disappointment and huge waste of money.
Ordered for pick up and the staff was very friendly and the building looks very nice but the chowmein is not what it s suppose to be It was cold and crunchy and the fried rice was not fried in the slightest only good part of the meal was the chicken balls and fortune cookies
Haven t had Chinese food in a long time. I ordered a variety including chicken fried rice, sweet n sour chicken balls, pork, spring rolls, almond shrimp and it hit the spot! Delicious! Would order again, I recommend :)
Friendly, delicious
Used to go there on a regular basis and went last night. Ordered 3 dishes, two of which were entrees. Not only have prices doubled, but youd be lucky to get 10 thin slices of chicken or beef in a $20.00 entree. If you want your meal filled with onions, onions and more green onions as filler, then this is the place to go. The word seafood is also an excuse to jack the prices into oblivion. Will not patronize any longer.
Excellent service, but not authentic Chinese food. Ordered lunch combo. Bokchoy was not fully fried and a little bitter, while chicken balls too sweet. The spring roll was good.
Ordered food on the weekend by delivery. 200 dollars spent and food was cold and very greasy. Seemed very old leftovers at best.
Went with family and had the dinner for 8...there was so much food! No one left hungry! The staff were all very pleasant and the prices were fair. Very yummy also!
Eat in or take out, this restaurant is awesome. Our fav dishes are sliced duck with pancakes, eggplant hotpot. The salt and pepper shrimp are amazing too !
Quick and friendly service. Best bbq duck I have ever eaten. The halibut and tofu hotpot tasted way above the typical fish and tofu combination. Lo mein was full of sauce. Cant ask for more from this restaurant. Coming back for sure when we visit Regina again.
The food was wonderful. This area is ideal for any special occasion. Nice, pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service.
Ordered from here for my birthday as it was the only place open for pick up at 2 pm and the food was straight nasty. We ordered alot for 7 people and 3/4 of it went straight to the trash.
Always awesome
We order from here all the time, it s the only Chinese food we order in Regina as they always deliver! Fast delivery, hot and delicious, rarely to we have left overs, and it never goes to waste!
Comment from Taiwan Really good. I recommend two persons for 1-1.5 dishes. The taste is bland, the price is super affordable, and the portion is huge, about twice as big as the stir-fried dish. About two people order 1-1.5 plates.
Ginger beef!
Ordered for six people and every dish was bland and nonseasoned, this only fulfilled the common conception of regina chinese food being greasy. This was a pathetic attempt and everything tastes of grease, just pure oil. This meal overall is described by the chicken dish we had, sad gray cold flavorless goop.
We ordered take out food, five different dishes for five of us. The portions were very small and each dish was overpriced for what we got. We had to order a large pizza from a pizza shop later as we were still hungry. I cannot recommend this place.
Food and the service was impeccable as usual.
The server made the entire night absolutely horrible. My family and I went out to celebrate a birthday during dinner time, it was busy and the ambiance was loud. We had our elderly grandmother with us who is in her 80s, is a residential school survivor and her first time experiencing Peking house. We asked the waiter what all came in the hot plate. He listed the ingredients and we ordered. We asked our grandmother if she wanted anything to which she asked what s in the chicken hot plate & the waiter replied I already told you there s (said ingredients) like I already said! *rolling his eyes* She ordered & after he left she put her hands up to her face & did a couple heavy breathes due to being scolded by the waiter. The waiter essentially replied condescendingly to her. My grandmother has been through so much in her life she doesn t have to still be scolded and belittled in her 80s. Have the decency & compassion. Moreover, he was gracious and polite to surrounding tables but came at us with absolute contempt. This is discrimination. Be better.
Have it every year , but the prices are getting ridiculous for ordinary Chinese food , was not impressed , didn t leave tip , when you bring 1 plate every 6 min Starting with fried rice , then 6 min later ginger beef 5 min later egg foo young , then other dishes 5 min apart I think they do this now to push people to pickup and delivery and I own a few restaurant franchises so I know the game
Although some dishes are not the same as those in mainland China, they taste good and the service is good. It s worth a try. I like this fried rice very much.
Our go to place for Chinese food. Always fresh and tasty and fast friendly service.
Overpriced. Good food but severely overpriced. I suggest going to OB Kitchen or Tims Kitchen for authentic Chinese food. This place just simply doesnt even compare.
Awesome food!
Good food but portions are very small!!
Best for simple Chinese food in the city.
Popular with my parents in Regina. Food not bad but not great either. Very traditional Canadian Chinese food. Usual sterile Chinese restaurant atmosphere
Family of 7 dined. Lotsa choices. Fast service Vegetarian options: Variety of options Parking: On a downtown Street. Better parking at dinner time after business hours Kid-friendliness: Variety for kids
Always excellent food and consistent quality and flavour. Enjoyed this restaurant for 15 years plus. Still the best in the city! Keep up the good food and service! Just keeps getting better!!!(April 2023) Kid-friendliness: Always cater to the kids.
Its exactly everything you want in a Chinese restaurant. The food is good and this place always got customers. They have a liquor license so you can definitely get that bottle of wine or beer with your meal. They are known for some specialties in the Peking style. And like every Chinese restaurant, very generous portions.
Love this classic Regina restaurant. We ordered ahead for the Peking duck. Several people at the table never had duck before and now they have after getting a look at this one. It was delicious along with the other 6 plates we took with our group.
Gimme a free fried rice now plz
We have been going there and getting takeout for years. The people are great and so is rhe food. Our kids and grandkids love going to and or getting takeout from. Some of their dishes are truly umique to them as are some of their flavours. Portions are large and prices fair. Wether dining in or takeout you wont go wrong. Tonight was no difference. The grandchildren wanted to ho and have their favourite dishes. The people are great. Al Mc Donald
I have been eating here for decades. It is by far my favorite! Always hot. Always fresh. Always tasty!
Best Chinese food in the city!
easily best place to eat in saskatchewan ive been coming here since I first immigrated and the quality never lowered amazing staff and yummy food the only issue I have is parking and thats the citys fault
Food was great. The prices are definitely not overprice considering how authentic and scrumptious the food was! The staff was so kind and thoughtful. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant was just spotless!!!
I order wor wonton soup, it was terrible, the broth had no flavour, just tasted like water and veggies and I FOUND A ROUND PIECE OF METAL IN THE SOUP...everything else was OK
We ordered in advance for pickup, and were given a time of 45 minutes before the order would be ready. We prefer waiting for good food. However when we arrived, they were extremely busy, and unfortunately we waited another 45 minutes to an hour after paying for the order for our food to be ready. Again, we prefer to wait for good food as opposed to having it rushed, however if the establishment was that busy, letting us know the wait would be longer than normally anticipated would have been better than waiting around the crowded entry and parking lot. The food was definitely great, priced a tad high, and the extra wait without as much as a word or an apology left us a bit unimpressed.
Spent 150.00 for 7 people. Only got 2 fortune cookies, and enough lemon and sweet and sour sauce for 1 person. Really !!! Why is your take out food not as good as your in person food? I realize that take out is never as good as being there in person, but I ordered dinners for 10+ people before and it was still good. This time I ordered out favourite items off menu for my special guests. After raving about your food, I was embarrassed and disappointed especially with the shrimp, which was in most dishes. It s hard to let go of what I considered best Chinese in Regina.
This used to be my favourite Chinese food spot for years but I just got takeout and the food was mostly inedible and overpriced. I m disappointed.
Great food, and big servings for a good price
Unexpectful great Chinese food compared with Toronto. Especially soy fried noodles with Beef ( )
This place is a hit or miss on flavors. This last order the chicken fried rice had nooo flavor, the chicken balls had the sauce poured on it (combo for one) the vegetables were impressive as not over done, bright colors and snap peas and baby corn was a nice surprise. The ginger bee, which typically is amazing) came so overcooked and again, lacked flavor. Restaurant apologized and did not replace our meal. We were shocked to learn that the tip we added to our total does NOT go to the driver which it was intended for. Parking: Because parking is so hard to get, we tend to have our food delivered now.
The best Chinese food in Regina. Highly recommend the Ginger Beef!!
foods are mouthwatering and served hot.
Best wor wonton in the city.
I had Peking once, it was GREAT. Had it againt tonight, and it was REALLY BAD. Food was bland, mixed with a very strange metallic, chemical taste. Just threw $40 in the trash. Wont be back. Yikes.
Amazing food. Wanton soup is a must. Singapore noodles is also a must have. Bland dining room, but what does that matter when the food is awesome!
Had group meal for 4 shared among 3 people more than enough for 2 full meals (1 in the restaurant and take home for the next day)
Its like Family, not simply a Customer!
It tasted really good. Fun retro decor and feel. Its a different flavour than the usual mall chinese food place. I think they make a lot of their own sauces.
Cheerful staff and great food!
Its a warm and cosy place for a family. Good food and good service
Great lunch options and good food!
Nice Asian cuisines
Authentic Beijing cuisine. Love it.
Always great food, good amount for the price. Never had any issues. The services are good too.
Party of 7 and im a regular and my friend and her family loved it too Thanks Peking house for a delicious feast
Ive not been to this restaurant but I have ordered take away and the telephone service was very professional and the food was fresh n delicious the delivery man was also very nice. Im definitely a customer and fan..Thx Peking House Staff n Owner
Great experience to the staff was friendly and the food was amazing.
Delivery was fast and the portions were good however the fried rice and chop suey was bland
Outstanding food and service. The Hot and Sour Soup and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables are two of my favourite dishes. The staff is professional and patient, especially with my aging mother. There is a menu written in a Chinese script I would dearly love to order for some time. This place is an utter gem.
Always fantastic staff are awesome
Chinese food
My son and his family took me out to dinner and we sat and watched as others came in and got their food and still we waited. We waited an hour and finally we asked if we were getting our food soon. Extremely poor service
Always excellent.
Long time Regina favorite
Always delicious and always consistent. One of the best in the city.
Very good food
Yummy goodness. My familys go to restaurant when theres an occasion. Our top favorites are wonton soup, special chow mien, dry ribs, and BBQ chicken. If you like fish, then my personal favourite is sweet and sour fish.
First time having dinner here. Restaurant was reserved for pick up/delivery due to special function going on... We order Beef broccoli, shrimp with mixed veg. & Peking fried rice. The food was hot temperature wise and well packed. The food was excellent in taste. I will definitely be going back & totally recommend
Parking: On street metered parking.
This is the OG Authentic Chinese Resto in Regina imho. Been coming here for a decade and the quality of the food has never disappointed! Even post pandemic when most restos had to change suppliers and had cut backs, i especially noted that Peking House STILL rates high in quality and quantity and still offers the same old wonderful service! The set meals are good but be adventurous and order off the ala carté/to-share menu! Everything tastes great! Would recommend the Chinese Beef Stew (not in EN menu), Peppercorn Squid, Gailan in Oyster Sauce, Seafood and Beancurd soup and of course, Yang Chow fried rice! Will continue to come back here always!!!
Ordered Peking Duck along with Hot and Sour Soup, Ginger Beef, and Shrimp with Snow Peas. Everything was delicious and the service is always top notch. I believe this is the best Chinese restaurant in Regina.
Service was good. Menu is big. Decore is ok. Wasnt busy
This is the BEST Chinese food around. Its my favorite ever, not just in Regina. Parking: Ample street parking
First time eating here and will definitely be back. Great food and great service!
I liked it overall
A staple in downtown Regina for lunch. One tip is too order off the actual Chinese menu and not the laminated lunch one.
Recently went there for lunch with a guest though we visits this place very often, the waiter was so rude and not polite. There were food on the plate and he snuck all foods from our table without saying sorry!!! He said, their lunch hours over and they will close the Restaurent so get out!!! Decided to avoid this place going forward. They thought everything guaranteed and they are the only Restaurent in town.
Best Chinese food in Regina
Love this place. Food is always great with fast fresh delivery and great service when dining in.
Very yummy ginger beef
Very good
One of my favourite restaurants in the city!!
Always great
Best and probably the most expensive Chinese restaurant in Regina.
Yum yum and more yum!
I ve been three times now and the convenience and friendliness are what stand out for me. It s a short walk from my office so when I need a quick meal I just call them up. The food is hot, flavourful, and filling. The containers that the combination dinners come in are also reusable which I really like!
Great
Great food, had take out. Everything was fantastic.
Super friendly service, followed all safety procedures. Everything was delicious! Next time Hot Pot! Will definitely go again.
Amazing food. Great service!
Not impressed. Meat? Was very hard crusted. Chicken tasteless, carrots inedible( hard as plastic) Won,t be back. Sorry
Hands or chopsticks down, absolutely the best Chinese food in Regina!
Best Chinese Food in Regina - bar none! Have ordered delivery about six times and has always arrived hot, fresh and on time. Good for you for having your own drivers!!! Always get dinner for three plus an order of chicken balls for four of us (and have left overs). All staff are the most pleasant to talk to! A really great idea to get for the family. Extremely reasonable prices, to top it off. Try them out and youll see what youve been missing out on.
By far the best chinese food handsdown in town very pleased with the quality of the food 100% best in town. Best price and great service was told a time for pick up an time was on point highly recommended!
Loved the ginger beef. Portions are generous and prices very reasonable.
Please try the duck there please.....
I have tried several combinations and am very pleased with the excellent food that is prepared. Great combinations. I liked everything i tried from here very much.
It s not authentic Chinese food, so students who have high expectations can skip it. The fish-flavored shredded pork they ordered is not spicy, sweet, or sour, and there are green beans in it. It s not a question of whether it tastes good or not. This is not it. Chinese food
Fabulous service, delicious food. A favourite of ours & out of town friends & family!
The best chinese takeout we have had in Regina so far. The only place that serves duck as far as i know and the duck pancakes were perfect! Highly recommend! Thanks for a great meal! Im from Europe so my idea of chinese is very different to most canadian chinese restaurants but this hit the nail on the head!
The service was great. Food was good especially the duck. I would definitely go again
Always excellent food
Excellent
Peking house has the best Chinese food in town. Combination dinners are only available at lunch time.
Excellent
Great Chinese food as always.
Fresh food and plenty of it.
Takeout order was delicious!
Great food, friendly customer service
Good Chinese food. War wanton soup is the best
Best Chinese food in all of Regina !!!!
Chicken with curry sauce is okay. Not a lot for the money.
Best Chinese in the city .always my go to for fresh hot Chinese food
Soooo damn good!!!
The food was excellent, we had a warm welcome and the service was real good. We recommend this restaurant!
Unfortunately the takeout wasnt of great quality. Chicken fried rice wasnt seasoned at all, rice wasnt fried at all.. it was just white rice with some small pieces of chicken. The food court Chinese place is way better, and much less expensive.
Try the ginger beef!
Amazing is the only word that we can say we will definitely go back..
Excellent food quick service
Stopped here while passing through Regina. Left the best impression of the city! Delicious food, well priced, and kind staff.
I love their food fresh vegetables good sized portions Love
Service great and food even better
Fried rice was not spicy as I had requested and the BBQ pork quite dry.
Food is always great and the staff are friendly and awesome. Enjoy having lunches here.
Good food, fast friendly service
Always awesome food and service here!!
Shrimp were nice and crisp but every one had a piece of shell that was missed. Price is very high
Its the one restaurant ou family goes to for family gatherings. Overall the food is great but not always consistent. Love the Ma Po tofu and pepper squid.
Bad quality and expensive. I went for the Chicken noodle whatever cant recommend that
Clean environment, efficient service and awesome menu.
I love the food and they are always so fast.
Peking House has nice, helpful staff. We have been doing pickup only but there are plenty of signs promoting staying apart 6 feet and staff are wearing masks. Our favourite to order on the menu so far is the dinner for 3, and wonton soup.
We have never been disappointed here. The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly and welcoming!
Food is always fresh and hot! Service is worth 20%, Our favourite dish is the Ginger beef...thanks Peking House staff!
Staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and following covid restrictions.
Always excellent!!!
Absolutely delicious. Food was plentiful and great. Lots of social distancing. Staff were awesome, food was quick and hot.
Excellent food. . My first choice for ordering Chinese food. Fast delivery.
One of the best if not the best Chinese restaurant in Regina.
