J and A is our go-to spot for delicious dim sum and Chinese food for lunch in Regina. The food is always fresh and flavorful, with a huge variety of dishes to choose from. The service is friendly and efficient, even when they're busy. The atmosphere is authentic, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend J and A for a fantastic dim sum experience! Best in the city and a true hidden gem.

The meat taste like 2 months old, the service lady seems angry every time we visit and yelling if you ask some questions regarding what is in the dish, my daughter told me she was turning white eyes when she is passing our table, very rude and unpleasant environment, ruin my appetite… sad experience.. no recommend… mentally tortured
I guessed I have different experience. Tried to order dish I wanted on the phones to pick up. I saw pic on online menu, I thought that’s what I had. No problem, I didn’t ask for refund but I wanted to known if they can make the one on picture but with different noodles. But lady cook/owner explained (in a rude way) that I should say “special” (how should I know). Food not too bad, but she needs to improve how to talk to people, or let someone else to talk. Never come back.
An out of the way (downstairs ) in the heart of regina . The dim sum was a delicious with a wide variety of choices. Staff courteous and efficient. Prices very reasonable.
The food was excellent, I had the combo 5 and would get it again. The atmosphere is very plain, nothing spectacular. The server was efficient and friendly. The food was served hot and fresh, and the water pitcher was left on the table so I didn't have to wait for water refills. The steps to get down to this place are a little dicey on cold winter days, so be aware and hold on to the railing. I didn't notice if there was a wheelchair accessible access... It's in an odd location and if others wouldn't have taken me here I probably would have kept going past, so I'm glad I was shown this place! I felt the value, food per dollar, was just ok seeing as the cost of everything has gone up. However the serving was half the portion size of what I got the day prior from another nearby Asian restaurant in the mall (which was also less money). But the ginger beef here was phenomenal and better than the meat selection from the other place! Thanks for the yummy food, I'd come again and recommend to others as well.
There is only one dim sum place in regina that I know of. The chicken feet, eggplant and ribs with rice were my favorite dishes. Prices - Inflation adjusted equal to calgary prices. We had a table of 6 during a busy lunch hour and boxing day, so service was really good!
We found the food here pretty authentic and delicious. Servers are friendly but a little bit short staffed.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Few days ago, I phoned the restaurant to pick up a dim sum order for lunch and I was not sure about the ingredients because it was not specified in the menu at all! (I tried to check the menu before order but this was the only menu that I could find online) So I asked if the menu that I was going to order contains chicken or not through the phone quickly. And when I picked up my order at the restaurant, right after I paid, the lady working there (must be the owner of the restaurant or so) scolded me that I was not sure about the menu when I ordered! and said Next time you should be sure about what you want to order, it is so busy during the lunch time so you cannot ask like that through the phone and walked away to the kitchen.. what??? I cannot ask whats inside when I order? I knew exactly what I wanted to order just was not sure whats inside and doubled checked through the phone. I understand that it is so busy during lunch time but it only took 40 sec to order and ask.. she didnt even say thank you or it will take a few minutes.. just hung up on me right after I ordered. (I was even confused if the phone was cut) when I just wanted to make sure what I eat she treated me like a homeless begging food from them in front of the people having lunch there. Very unpleasant experience. to be honest, the food is just westernized fried dishes and the dim sum I picked up was not even very good. Probably bought from Chinese grocery store and only steamed to serve. I will never visit again and would not recommend to anyone..

Friendly staff and delicious food. The food is always hot and consistent. I normally order Szechuan chicken or Ginger Beef over rice. The portions are good and the price fair. Wheelchair accessibility: Located in basement of building with no lift for wheelchair.
Excellent food and service at affordable prices. Fed 3 adults and 2 teenagers for $85 plus tip. My fiancé says he had the best lemon chicken of his life.

It has a quite and warm atmosphere so its a perfect place to spend time enjoying yummy meals with your loved ones and get served by friendly and kind people. Yes, I recommend this place!
Nice ambience and good food.
Ate lunch altough the opening hours is a little confusing. The sign on the window says 11am while the door, 11:15. When we tried to enter at 11:15, the owner said 11:30. Price is a little on the high end but worth it if you plan to bring a date. Service is superb and fast. The server gives you space and makes sure thatbthe table is clear for space and food. Nice dimsum place in Regina. The siomai is fresh, moist and not dried up. Gaylan is clean, greeny, fresh and crunchy with oyster sauce. The noodle shrimp is warm and recommended to be eaten right away. Chicken feet is superb and appetizing. The washroom is kept clean, with soap, napkins and no cleaning supplies randomly lying around. All in all, its a good experience. The high end price compensates the quality and the ambiance and is a good place to visit once in a while.
Horrible customer service. I order food for take out and try to explain to her whats going where. She interrupt me and was soo rude to me. She got mad that i wanted to separate the order.Horrible customer service prob wont come back.

Very cheap on portions cheap has can be not bad food when a person pays 15 for a side ride last be full plus ribs best eat inside never get delivered
The food was decent but it was way too greasy I had the chicken lo mein and dry spare ribs. And there was so much sauce and grease in the noodles that I ended up ralphing on the white phone for pretty much the whole evening after I left. The dry ribs are very fatty and not very much meat. Will I eat there again no. I hope somebody else has a better experience.
A regina classic for dim sum
FINALLY, FINALLY a Chinese restaurant that doesnt use STYROFOAM for take out!!!!.....THANK YOU , THANK YOU. Best Shrimp Foo Young I have had ... J & A Restaurant is now my go to restaurant for chinese food. Going have to try the Dim Sum soon.
Receptionist with no Respect for customers, as if I came to eat for free
Ive tried a lot of dine in chinese restaurants and this is by far the favorite for my family and I. It is consistently delicious and their staff always provides great service too! Ive tried both the dim sum, regular menu and bubble tea too. My favorite items include the chow mein, fried rice, breaded shrimp and basically the entire dim sum menu. I love the shrimp steamed rice rolls, spring rolls and beef tripe. If you havent tried this place, it is a must in Regina! It may be a slightly higher price but definitely worth it.

Top Dimsum places in Regina! Totally recommend their Fried Squid, Tripe, Yangchow Rice, Shrimp and Bean Curd, and beef hot pot!!! Very tasty and fresh! We also had the Gailan in Oyster and it wasn t overcooked so big points to that as well. Service was very quick despite the resto being very full and as always, very friendly! Bit more expensive than other Dimsum restos but quality is top notch!!! Very much worth it! Will definitely come back as this is one of our favourite dimsum places in Regina.

Terrible service, horrible waiters. Like other reviews, they dont respect customers. When you pay, the 15% tip is included in the total price and you cant choose. So no matter how bad the service is, you have to tip 15%

Ordered into my hotel. Delivery was ridiculously fast and the food was absolutely incredible. She called back after I ordered and sent a new menu item for me to try. The white cake is the one I chose and it was delish. I highly recommend J&A if you are in the mood for dimsum. 5 stars all around friendly fast amazing service!!!

We were very happy with our dinner here! My wife is from south China and has been wanting to have some food that reminds her of home, which has been difficult to find in Regina. Though they are run by people from Vietnam they have a lot of training and experience cooking Hong Kong style food, and a menu that includes hard to find dishes like chicken feet and beef stomach. They of course have a wide range of classic dishes which are also very good, but those hard to find menu items really hit the spot for my wife! We were also impressed by the price... a solid value for what we got. Thanks J & A!

Im from BC and this is my go to Chinese restaurant in SK. Their dim sum is excellent and their regular menu is fantastic. Cha Siu Cheung fun and special chow mein are the best!

My family and I go here for any special occasion, or just for take out. The staff have become very close friends, they make amazing dishes and in my opinion have the best dimsum in the city! The Singapore noodles and salt n pepper ribs are my absolute favorite!

Prompt service, friendly staff likes to joke around
Ordered here for the first time tonight. After many attempts of finding a restaurant that we really liked we finally found it. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My only complaint was the ginger beef. I like ginger beef a bit tender and I found that the one we got tonight was a bit tough to eat. But overall I am very impressed and will definitely be ordering again.

Dont know how Ive never heard of this place until tonight, was scrolling through skip and this was the only place that had a dinner for 3 meal that we would actually eat everything. We called for delivery and just used skip as a menu, I cant believe how fast it was and the food was the best tasting, non greasy Ive ever ate. We usually can eat the dinner for 3 between two of us at other places but we definitely have enough food for a couple more people. I honestly cant believe how amazing this place is.

This restaurant is truly a gem! The staff and owners are friendly and make sure you have everything. The food truly was the best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything was great, hot and flavourful. I will definitely be back time and time again.

It was good, the service was a bit slow, but this is due to the fact they had just opened when we walked in. The food is tasty. Environment is getting dated but still somewhat clean.

Its always a treat to come here. The staff are always friendly, the food comes out fresh and always fast during the lunch rush. They dont have a la carte here, but the food is good none the less.

Stands out among the countless generic Chinese/Asian choices in Regina. The addition of dim sum introduces a nice variety, and the standard Chinese menu itself is a cut above other similar places in terms of flavour. And everything is very affordable to boot. Our new family favourite!
