Had the vegan platter which was delicious and the platter contained generous amounts of injera flat bread (made from fermented teff flour), lentils (spiced with cardamom etc.), yellow split peas, cabbage with carrots, and green beans with potatoes.
Another wonderful local business. The staff are amazing, roasted spiced coffee aroma fills the whole restaurant and so good. Love the food. Definitely recommend this place!
The food was awesome and super authentic! The staff were incredibly friendly and it was a great place to hangout and chat - no super loud music and the ladies who worked there were very diligent with our table. We also surprised them with 9 people, which is not the best, but they were friendly and moved tables for our group! 10/10
It became a ritual for us to try an Ethiopian restaurant in each city we go to, Selma was our 7th experience so far. The place is nice and vibrant, and the lady who served our table was extremely nice and welcoming. The food wasn’t as good/generous as other places we tried before. Still, the overall experience was lovely.
A very friendly staff and reasonable food. I have had Ethiopian food in many restaurants across the country and abroad, and this one is average. Something was missing in the flavor, but overall, it is fine. The food is of a good quality when it comes to its ingredients. The portions were on the small end in comparison to other places i tried.

Selam mixed platter is awesome! Decent price 27.29 Many different dish Lamb, beef ,chicken and other vegetable! Injera is so special! Had a sour taste! Some sauce is a little bit salty though
Delicious! It's always a laid back atmosphere. It's probably better to order individual dishes and share as the meat platter isn't as great as it used to be. Still a delicious place to try.
This store dont have any value for delivery driver.. just wasting time
Unless you have ID and money to go upstairs they wont even let you through the door,going out of business and gouging for money couldnt t be more obvious,no thanks! Food

Really good and authentic Ethiopian food. Workers are really nice and actually care about their customers. They also were punctual with the order. Dietary restrictions: Have food that does not contain meat.

Driving across Canada my family stopped in. Despite my first impressions, the food turned out to be delicious. Host was perfectly nice and overall it was good. We had the veggie platter between myself and two children and it was more than enough. Vegetarian options: Lots of options

Im here for work and needed takeout near my hotel - Selam was highly recommended and DEEPLY ENJOYED. I ordered the veggie platter and was surprised at how much food I received - all of it is amazing. What a lovely restaurant! My friends and I were interested in trying something new and the food at Selam was just amazing! We ordered 3 Selam platters for the 7 of us and it allowed us to try a variety of different Ethiopian dishes. Everything was tasty, there wasnt a single dish I didnt enjoy Such a neat experience, would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to try new foods and have an all around fun experience!!!
Cool experience for sure! We shared two platters (with an extra side of bread) between four people and it was more than enough. If youre interested in something new, try it out!

We enjoyed coming here as a family in the before time, and to satisfy our craving, we ordered take-out for an at-home feast. We ordered an assortment of dishes and everything was just as amazing as we remembered. The people here are so friendly and kind, and this is reflected in the food they make.
My boyfriend and I ordered take out from Selam last night and my GOODNESS was it ever good. Not only did I enjoy my platter, but my boyfriend did too. It was his first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and he loved it! The service was fast and friendly, and most of all it tasted amazing. 100% would recommend. Also it was cheap for so much food!! Love this place... YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!!!

I went there for the lunch buffet, excited to find an ethiopian restaurant in Regina. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I found the food a bit blend. Ethipian food is normally very flavorful, but here it wasnt. It might be hard to get the right spices in Saskatchewan, who knows! Also it was chilly in there, as if the heat wasnt turned on.

The BEST Ethiopian food ever!
Went for a Friday night meal with some friends and was pleasently suprised by the friendliness of the staff and the owner. The food was not only tremendous and delicious but it looked very asthetic and beautiful. All in all an amazing joint for ethnic Ethiopian food
Food was good but service was pretty horrible. Had to yell repeatedly to even get anyone to come out from the back. Then they forgot a part of our order and said they were bringing it out. After waiting about 20 minutes after we finished our meals, we just got up to pay. Not sure if its normally like this but we probably wont be back.
Delicious authentic food. The Kitfo is soooo good. Super friendly owner and staff. Highly recommended.

If you have never had Ethiopian food you would be in a treat at Selam in Regina. At present, it is probably the best restaurant in Regina. An experience you will not forget.
I walked in, a woman told me to sit where I please. I ordered the veggie platter and DANG was it ever good, and it was so much food! She also gave me extra sauce to go with my extra bread, literally got 2 meals for 18$. Very good. 10/10 would go again

I wanted to give this place a better rating. Since trying Ethiopian for the first time almost 10 years ago, Ive been in love. When nearby cities (Winnipeg etc.) began getting more and more Ethiopian restaurants, I was ecstatic... I knew that this place existed but hadnt eaten at it despite it being closer to home. Until a couple of weeks ago, that is. Its hard to disappoint when it comes to a cuisine that I love so much. Ive been to some mediocre places but still left pretty happy. Ill start with the service. When we arrived the lunch buffet wasnt ready. The woman came out, asked us to wait a few minutes while she got the rest of the dishes, made a few trips back and forth..... And then neglected to mention that she was done. Eventually, we made our way up and began getting food. The amount of Injera set out was nowhere near enough and my table of 3 and one other man in the restaurant quickly finished it all. My friend had to go back to the kitchen and ask for more so that we could continue eating. And on top of all of that, the bread obviously wasnt fresh. With Injera, whether or not its fresh is very obvious, and this was at least a couple of days old. It was not soft and spongy like all of the other Injera that I have had and it lacked flavor. The food was decent, in general, but it lacked the flavor that Im used to from Ethiopian food. It took about 20 minutes after we started getting our food to finally get drinks. My husband requested coffee at that point and she didnt start making it until we were almost finished eating... Which wouldnt normally be a problem but, at Ethiopian restaurants, coffee takes a while and is usually started at the beginning of a meal. We ended up sitting there for a half hour after we finished eating for this tiny little glass of coffee. If you can go to Winnipeg or another larger city with an Ethiopian restaurant, I would suggest skipping this place and going to one of them instead. Your experience will be much more enjoyable and the food will taste amazing compared to what you get here.
Went there today for the lunch buffet and it was so so so good! The staff was very nice and friendly, I will definitely be going to Salem regularly from now on!

Went there for the Caribbean pavilion after party. Some great music,awesome dancers, and nice layout in the basement. Too bad it was hot as balls.

Best place to hangout in Regina. Amazing Shisha, friendly staff and lovely ambience. You name it, they have it. I go there every weekend and the owner is also very welcoming. Definitely a place to make new friends.

The restaurant which is on the main level has such delicious food. The buffet not only has a nice variety for meat eaters as well as vegetarians, you also get it for a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and the service is good. I have gone up the stairs to the Hookah Lounge and toured it. I found it to be very appealing.
The service at the hookah lounge is absolutely atrocious. Be prepared to wait or never receive your order.

My first time to a Hookah lounge, was an awesome experience. Everyone here is so friendly! I met the owner, really cool guy, would recommend it to anyone! If you havent tried it, its a fun and relaxing experience
