Great food, well prepared, large portions, and very reasonable prices. My chicken greko was moist and perfectly seasoned. All five proteins were perfectly cooked on her souvilaki platter. The staff were all extremely good, balancing attention with discretion. It was a totally enjoyable evening.

Visited Grekos tonight with my husband and it was wonderful!! We love to go here to celebrate any special occasion or just for a date night. Great food and wine selection!!

We dont have a lot of Greek food in Regina. I find the meals a bit too hands on. Salads with barely cut vegetables drowning in Olive oil. Their seasoning is generally oil, for all dishes.

Wonderful service, great food

We dined in after an appointment in the city it was amazing I will admit when we walked in we were a little bit worried as the restaurant was empty . I did remind myself that it was 230 pm.on a Monday so likely why it wasnt busy . My mom suggested we leave I said give it one chance if its bad we wont go back . Well needless to say we WILL BE GOING BACK ! . Service was great and the food , portions, and prices were fabulous ! Highly recommend if you like greek food !

This was my dads favorite place to eat before he passed, and now its one of mine. We bring my mom here often, and it feels like home to us. The food is always delicious, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Huge rave! Best tzatziki in the city!

Prices are great, staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. I will go again. However, the service is extremely slow, dont go if you dont have at least 1.5-2 hours of time. Takes almost an hour for food to come out.

I ordered the salmon souvlaki and it was so, so good. It was so tender, flavourful, and it melted in my mouth. It didnt last more than 5 minutes on my plate. The garlic bread was really great too, I loved how buttery it was. Great experience. Ill have to come again.

The food here is amazing! Every bite taken was awesome. The portions were huge, presentation of food was clean, nice atmosphere, a little dark when you walk in at first. Takes a bit for your eyes to adjust. The service was impeccable and they were so kind. Will be back next time Im in Regina.

Wonderful service and great food!

We were initially seated near the kitchen but asked to be moved as it was noisy and busy with server traffic. The staff were very accommodating. The food was quite good. Our party all thought the Ceasar salad was excellent. We also ordered a couple of appetizers. The appetizer that was cheese (the name of the dish escapes me) would have been better served with a flatbread. The main courses were quite good except for the Greek ribs. While they were tasty, in my opinion they were undercooked. We prefer fall-off- the- bone doneness and these were definitely not. We would return to this restaurant but the Greek ribs wouldnt be our first choice on the menu.

Found this gem by pure luck! Now our favourite date night restaurant when visiting the city!

Food was alright meat was great it was everything else that kinda lacked for me. The lemon potatoes had no lemon flavor at all. Tasted like soup broth. Service was great our waitress was very good. But honestly for the price I was hoping for a meal that would blow my mind.

Had a work luncheon here today and was very impressed by the service and food quality. Our food came out promptly despite how large our group was. I had the shrimp and scallops and they were large, tender, and flavourful. Would definitely return with friends/family.

Lunch menu is awesome! I loved the chicken pita and fries so much that two weeks later we ordered take-out. We had so many errands that we couldnt eat the pitas for about two hours after picking them up...they never got soggy! Ive never experienced this before, so grekos pitas are not only delicious but they are ensorcelled. Enjoy!

Dinner for two was fantastic and lots of great leftovers. The Service was excellent!

Ordered take out. Food received tasted ok but was not as described in their online menu. For example ordered chicken drumettes and received wings both drumettes and side pieces. Not cool. Also ordered an appt platter that was advertised to include feta cheese. The protein items were there but there was no sign of feta cheese. Again, not cool. I believe take out should be the same as eat in and/or on the menu. Dietary restrictions: Nothing to say.

3 of us had pork souvlaki and 1 person had barbecue ribs. Horrible. Souvlaki tough, fatty, grizzly. The garlic toast was not toasted well. Ribs dripping in barbecue sauce. Vegetable must have been made on the grill. Tough no taste. Decline in quality of food and service. Will never go again. Such a decline in customer service and quality of food. Cost of a meal outrageous. I used to go to Grecos when they first opened up many years ago. Never had a bad meal. Food and customer service terrific.

food is great, but the service is awful. My girlfriend went to pick up food and one of the cooks cornered her and waited for other staff to leave to make rude comments towards her and make remarks under his breath. I would recommend taking advantage of picking up your order, as it is a more pleasant experience. update, I tried to call back as the restaurant instructed and the manager is out of town until Thursday. I called the day they responded to this review and he wasnt available. The restaurant also had no idea of what I was talking about. so obviously, no discipline or conversation was had to ensure other women wouldnt be treated like this also when they go to the establishment. Kid-friendliness: Given our experience, I wouldnt believe this place is kid friendly.

Overall, it was a consistently great experience and our go-to restaurant for sure. There was some confusion over the gluten-free options, so double check with your server if thats a concern

Just went to Grekos at 8:30pm online information says they close at 10:00- We walked in and were told the kitchen staff left and they were closed- I asked why online the hours say open till 10- he said that google makes up its own information and they have nothing to do with google! Thanks for making us drive 30minutes for nothing- won t ever even try the food- won t go back

Not authentic Greek at all. As a Mediterranean, I can make better Greek food at home. For $40 per person it was not worth it. The Greek salad is not real Greak salad. Its just lettuce, onion, creamy feta, and no kalamata olives. The dressing is not authentic Greek either. Tastes like it comes out of a Kraft salad dressing bottle. Greeks dont use dill weed on their seasoned vegetables, Canadians do. They use oregano, basil, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram as green aromatics herbs like Italians do. Lebanese restaurants make better Greek food than this place. Go elsewhere.

The food has taken a drop in quantity & quality. I had an escargot and the escargot themselves where so small and tasteless. The veal cutlets where good but the sauce on top was thick and gooy! Really was disappointed for the cost involved. Sorry to say, but the black Russian drink was very bland, possibly the side coke I got on the side. All & all, dont know if I or my group will attend back to this resturant.

I went this restaurant for the special day on Feb.14 . Restaurant was not busy but the server did not attend us right away and after the meal served did not even bother to ask if everything is okay if we need anything. I felt rushed and unvalued customer. On top of the injury when I asked itemized receipt the server huffed at me and said Oh my GOD like I asked impossible thing from her. When I get the bill she did not even say thank you and kind of throw the bill on me. This person should not be working for the restaurant business as she does not have customer service etiquette. From this experience I will never go back to this restaurant ever and I felt so humiliated with this experience on my special day. Parking: Shared Mall Parking

My friends said it was the best restaurant in town, so I had high expectations. The place was a bit too loud. The prices were high but the quality of the food just average The service was okay.

I love Grekos. Food is always great. I usually have the Souvlaki platter which is always great but I had Chicken a la Greko with a baked potato this time. Excellent dish. Large portions. I should have taken some home but finished it. Was very full. I took some co-workers that had never eaten there before and they said they are coming back. One had the Moussaka and she was very happy. Dietary restrictions: One person in my party had a dietary restriction. They accommodated her without issue. Parking: Parking isnt an issue Kid-friendliness: They accomodate families. I have seen kids often here.

Best greek food in Regina by far. You can tell it is authentic traditional family run. Had take out tonight but have dined in twice with my wife. The Greek ribs are amazing. Homemade Caesar dressing is just the right blend of creamy and garlic. Not too tangy. The service is always good here and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. My new favorite restaurant when in Regina.

A South Regina landmark, and for good reason. Have been taking my family here forever, mostly for special occasions, and the team doesnt disappoint. Sometimes you just want a place with tablecloth and a great wine list!

The meal was tasty and the serving was generous, salad was also fresh. On the downside, the waiter talked fast and (probably with Greek accent) and we could hardly understand him. Its a bit busy but a great place in general.

Grekos restaurant was amazing started with the shrimp scampi perfectly cooked with garlic toast and such good flavour. We decided not to do wine tonight as we have some great bottles in the hotel but they have some very reasonably priced bottles.we had cocktails that were delicious ozotini and the cosmo were delicious. We then recieved the salads this was included in the meal price my friend had the Greek salad I had the Caesar. The Greek had a nice firm tomato and a nice feta that wasnt to strong the Caesar salad was nice and fresh except the powdered Parm cheese. On the the meals themselves the rack of lamb was delicious with a pan sauce that makes you want to lick the plate. Lemon Greek potatoes were everything they should be. My friend was loving her Greek ribs they were what they should have been as well the service was great as as was the ambiance. I would totally come here again. Living out of province, I hope I get the chance. Cheers

Girlfriend was wanting some Greek food so we went to Grekos on the recommendation of a very good friend who is a greek cook himself. As soon as we entered the host was there immediately to show us to our table. We were given water and menus and had our drink orders taken. We ended up waiting a solid 15 minutes for our drinks (2 cokes) at which point we also both ordered a souvlaki platter for one. We waited only a short while for our salads which unfortunately were very soggy and seemed to have been sitting in their dressing for a while. The salad tasted good however so we ate it with out complaints. We then waited about 20-25 minutes for our souvlaki, throughout this time I was able to see a cook come out and look at the dining room multiple times. I also noticed that the microwave on the shelf in the kitchen was used quiet a bit. At about the 15 minute mark of waiting for our food we had a lady who wasn t our server bring us a container of water to top off our glasses. We noticed at this point as well that every table except for our was given bread, something that wasn t important however we were confused as to why others got it and not us, we just put it towards ordering the wrong items. Once our food came, we both found it very delicious however there were some points that made me question the quality. First of all, the veggies that came with the meal were inconsistent in that the zucchini was cooked right but the carrots were undercooked. The lemon potato s had absolutely no issues with them, however the Greek fries were inconsistent with seasoning and some were very greasy. Lastly the souvlaki, the beef skewers were very good and seasoned correctly, however the other skewers weren t as good. The chicken skewer was very bland and I found myself going for lemon and tzatziki immediately just to give it a nicer taste. The pork skewers unfortunately had quiet a bit of fat on the pieces. Lastly the shrimp and scallop skewer was again very much under flavoured as the taste of the scallops was all I could taste. Overall, I feel like the cost of the meal didn t make up for the mistakes with the food, probably won t return again unless we go with other people.

Good food and the best dessert.

Calamari was incredible. The serving sizes were very generous. The veal cordon Blu was everything I hoped it would be. The Greek salad was a classic heavy on the feta.

Our meals were so delicious and the service was attentive and efficient. I had a steak (the filet) and it was as good as youd get from the Keg or Earls but it was reasonably priced. The entrees, the sides, the salads all were very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a lovely night out without breaking the bank. Perfect for anniversaries or romantic nights out too!

Great food

The food is excellent. The servers are kind, but could use some more training about the menu, and how to pace and serve customers (we felt like we were being chased out with the constant coming by to try and clear plates). For the price of each meal, we expected a little better ambience. The main part of the restaurant has a reasonable volume when full, but the back room where they sat us was so loud that we had to shout to hear one another. The bathroom also had two of three stalls out of order and a hole in the floor. There just seems to be a lack of attention to detail on the overall dining experience. The food was lovely, but not a first choice for a future dining experience.

Food was good, not great. Hot/fresh. Service was below average. Although kind, server needed more training (did not know menu/out of his depth, seemed like he had been told to go serve on his own without shadowing a seasoned employee). The restaurant was loud. Not a great ambience.

Had dinner here last night with my family, reso for a group of 7 for a 20th anniversary. Everyone enjoyed the evening and their meals. Amongst the meals were moussaka, greek chicken, greek ribs, gyro dinner, baked onion soup, spanakopita, saganaki and a filet mignon. Portions were more than adequate as all 7 of us needed to-go boxes. I had the filet cooked rare, and it was perfect. My only few personal very slight downfalls: my caesar salad was overdressed, couldnt eat what was at the bottom. The peppercorn sauce (for $6) was more like gravy with peppercorns in it, not creamy as it should be. I had ordered a pinot noir, but got a pinot grigio (i like wine either way so no biggie, even ordered a second glass of the same because I enjoyed it). I did not mention these at all because it was so so very minor in the grand scheme of the evening it didnt warrant a mention. Our server was very pleasant (I didnt catch her name but she had glasses and a blonde bob) and patient with the ordering. I went up and secretly ordered a dessert for the anni. couple and got sparklers from my car for her to light when bringing the dessert to the table. The busser was very prompt too when coming to get our empty plates, so props to him and especially the chefs for their delicious meals! Everything went smoothly and we all had a great night. Kuddos to the entire team on making it a success.

Absolutely love Grekos. We have been coming here for all our big moments and dinners out for the last couple of years. If youre going to spend the money on a nice, classy restaurant come here and you wont be disappointed.

First of all we go to Grekos at least three times a year. It is one of her favourite places to have Greek food. Always in the past had great service and atmosphere. Food is always amazing This time from when we walked in ordering our drinks it was a disaster. We ordered two alcoholic beverages. One was wrong. Four people at our table drink water and we have to ask another server to bring us a bottle of water. When that one was empty we have to ask another server for a bottle. Our server did not ask us if we wanted another drink. In fact we never saw our server until we got our meal. We had a reservation for 25. We were told that we would get our own room. We did not instead we got for tables with different servers. Salads that came out after the meals at different tables. One of the four tables got asked if they would like dessert. We did not. Overall it was a very bad experience and questioning whether we will go back. That is an a shame because we really liked going there. Yes the place was busy and understaffed. However getting a simple things like water and correct should not be a stretch. Not happy. My rating at the top is generous compared to our experience. The rating is giving the benefit of the doubt. We will try one more time and then we will have to search somewhere else for a gyro.

Food is tasty! We usually get take out. Sometimes everything is perfect, others, we have been disappointed when we get home because our order is wrong, or the food is overcooked/overdressed. The chicken is usually a safe bet. But my husband has ordered the gyros and the meat was very dry.

Nice place

Got the new York strip with lemon potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The sides were perfection, but the strip was fatty and a little under cooked. I asked for med-rare and got more of a rare. Service was fantastic, would totally eat here again

Nov 2023: We placed our order at 8:15 pm. The kitchen was almost closed, all of the other customers were just preparing to leave. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but they still took her order. Never made us feel rushed. The food came out delicious and quite quickly.. We had the dinner for two which that came with your choice of sides. We each chose baked potato, which was delicious and the vegetables, and I had Caesar salad with mine, and my partner had a different salad. The lamb souvlaki was underdone - rare rather than medium. The restaurant was very busy on a Thursday evening. I dont think Ill go back.

We have been going to Grekos for decades! Amazing food, ambiance and superior staff . Excellent South Albert Street Location with lots of parking . A ramp for those with accessibility requirements to the front door! The platter for two has been our go to for dinners out. Lunch menu options are so good as well. My fave is the Pork Souvlaki, which comes with a choice of delicious Cesar salad or the very tasty Greek salad. Yum. Wine by the glass is well priced with a nice selection of options. A big thanks to the Chefs in the kitchen who we never see, you rock the kitchen! Thanks Grekos We will be back

We came here with quite a large group, we pre-ordered our food...the food came out in a timely matter. Our food was okay at best. The service was not the best, was not very organized and we never had any Cutlery during our entire meal... They had none clean... had to use our spoons from our soup. We also ordered drinks and they never came.

Almost all of us had the Chicken A La Greko because the server said it was their best dish. My mother in law said this is the best chicken I have ever had period . At first I got an unwashed water glass, there was pink lipstick on it and noticed 2 sips later because it felt oily. When I looked it had it all over. I dont wear lipstick or lip chap. How do you not notice before serving? How gross to come in contact with some strangers germs. We were there for about 2 hours, it was busy so we didnt mind waiting an hour to eat. But we had about 5 different servers. The food was decent but not really worth the price. I got the wrong drink upon ordering too. The next server got it right. Overall I think this could have been a good experience if the service was better.

The best meal I have ever had. Service was great, the salad was amazing with a wonderful dressing, the steak was perfectly cooked and the prawns were simply the tastiest I have ever had! We stopped in on our way across the country and am so glad we did. I m sorry they aren t in Langley, BC!

Six of us went to Greckos last week. Food was plentiful. Service - heh, about average. We had to use our phones to read the menu as the restaurant was quite dark. We had a reservation but our table wasnt ready. It was an enjoyable evening overall, but a bit pricey

Used Kraft cheese slices on the chicken club, when you re eating out at a place I like to think they ll make something better then what I can at home. In this case i was taken back by cheap cheese slices, it was all I could taste which is not what you want when you re paying 16+ for a sandwich. Only reason this isn t 1 star is because the salad which was good but it s hard to mess up a salad. Also when ordering a drink don t ask for a double, most bars/restaurants don t x2 the price for a double which blew my mind looking at the receipt.

Went for late lunch . Service was good but food was not up to Grekos standards. Fries were over cooked and souvlaki was absolutely tasteless. I ll be back hopefully it will be better.

Pretty sure we were supposed to get bread, but it never came to our table. Also, no freshed cracked pepper was offered even though we heard it being offered at other tables. Overall, a decent experience but not worth the price of admission compared to other restaurants.

Was there with my family on Saturday. We were told to wait for 20 min but it took 45min. Then we had to wait for another 2 hours for dinner and of course not all dishes arrived at the same time! Food was good but we expected to get update or someone come and check on us during this long period. If you are busy you should tell your clients that the waiting time is very long. We went there to have fun but we got tired of waiting hungry!

Ribs were burnt, dry and hardly spiced ( ordered greek ribs meal) vegetables were supposed to be cooked but were crunchy raw, lemon potato was mostly tasteless. But services was excellent and lemon soup was tasty. Used to eat here every couple of months but will not be coming back....not worth the time or money spent.Others in party also found meal not up to past standards but not as dissatisfied, noted it was a very ordinary meal.

I havent been to Grekos in a number of years, We ordered the dinner for two. It was really extraordinary getting that much value for that price nowadays. Meal was excellent, and atmosphere was excellent. Well done.

I have been eating at this family run restaurant for over 25 years. It of course has the best Greek food in Regina, but I believe it is also is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Regina. Everything there is made fresh, they purchase the finest and highest quality ingredients, and you can clearly taste it in their cooking.

As a Greek I can tell you that the food was as good as it is back home. Well done guys. 5* Very warm environment too. I felt very welcome!

I ve heard about the steaks over and over. They did not disappoint!! Awesome service and food. Grekos is forever on the rotation list now.

I stop here every time I am back in Regina. Great pork souvlaki, and liver is always good as well (ask for medium doneness). Very friendly service. They could use a few more Canadian wines on their drinks list.

Overall Greckos is really nice! The food is good, just not exactly what I was expecting. Service was fantastic!
