This... was not good. Funny, because this place came highly recommended. Walked in, the place smelled like bleach. The server was polite, but there was definitely an issue there that I won't get into Just my personal choice. I had the dol sot bibimbap. It had cheese in it. It was off putting. I'm no.Korean chef, but I don't think there's supposed to be cheese in it. Rolls were clean and well presented... just bland. Also, my wife wanted coffee, and she said she hadn't made a pot... so no. I found that odd as well. I dunno, maybe I'm the odd guy out. But I wasn't a fan.
One of the most legitimate feeling izakaya's I have ever been to. Feels exactly like one should, a small, local bar with good eats and a caring and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Our waitress was great and the food was great. I would definitely come back. The yaki udon with chicken was very good and so was the chicken appetizer (don’t remember the specific name).
Stopped in for a bite, had 2 kinds of sushi. Dynamite & California rolls. Delicious. Great server 😍. Nice warm day in a good-vibe neighborhood so I ate outside on the patio. Recommended.
I’ve been with my boyfriend several times, and we have a great experience every time we go. The staff are all so friendly and attentive. Food is incredible, I highly recommend any of their sushi’s. Parking is good too as it’s beside Safeway.
the food was AMAZING . I recommend trying the dynamite rolls they are awesome . On top of that the waitressis in the only waitress working there and she was super fast . And the nicest woman in the history of earth never me someone as nice if I could rate it whatever I wanted it would be a 1000/1000 star restaurant favorite part was how nice the lady was 🤩🤩🤩
I came here with my partner at 5 PM. We were greeted and seated promptly. There were plenty of available seats and only a couple other groups there at the time. Our server was friendly and personable, and gave great recommendations for the menu based off of our preferences to spice, sweetness, etc. We started off with some Sake, volcano rolls, and dumplings. They were enough to share and were very good. There were plenty of options for Sake and plenty of flavored options to choose from. Being unfamiliar with Sake, out server was able to give good insight as to what preferences we might have. We ended up getting a plain cold Sake as it was very hot out and it was refreshing! We both got hot bowls, one regular and one kimchi. The bowl was pretty spicey and was very filling. The restaurant was very cool both setting wise and temperature wise. The sever was avaliable without being overbearing, and gave us plenty of time to just hang out after eating. I look forward to coming back!
TLDR - Food was alright. Not worth a 50 minute wait. Other tables were getting their food. Our group arrived at the restaurant around 10minutes after opening. There was one other table seated in the restaurant. We ordered 2 japchaes, one yaki udon, one bulgogi sandwich, karaage chicken and one miso soup. The food was alright. The japchae was a little on the sweet side and the yaki udon was a little too oily. The karaage chicken was a little far from what I had in mind, but this is a fusion place so maybe that was what they meant it to be, taste wise it wasn’t bad. The Bulgogi Sandwich, according to my friend, was pretty good. Food wise, it seemed like a place which was alright but not exactly worth going out of your way for. The reason for 2 stars was we waited 50mins for our food which the other patrons in the restaurant were getting a pretty steady flow of food. Food was not worth the wait, nor the price.
You will fall in love with the staff and the energy they bring to the place.
Although the agedashi tofu was slightly overcooked and quite crunchy, the rolls were fantastic. Our server was lovely and I enjoyed the atmosphere immensely.
Delicious sushi rolls. The staff was so sweet & considerate.
For 90$ two of us ate there with two entres and two appetizers. Food was okay, but not nearly worth the price and we had two cans of Pepsi and service took way too long. Would not recommend or eat here again.
Amazing food, spectacular service
Great Sushi and Korean Food. Pleasant Atmosphere. Nice Staff.
It gets really busy at peak times, so the food can take a while. But it s totally worth the wait. The food was really good, and there is nice vegan and vegetarian options
Chronically under appreciated restaurant in Regina. Food is always good, location is great. Staff are awesome, and food/drink prices are still reasonable! Love this place
Visited today for dinner to celebrate a special occassion ...first of all, the service was awesome..the food was upto the mark and the ambience was very soothing...highly recommend for a bit fusion Japanese/Korean cuisine...its a Cafe setup and there are no heavy main courses; just entrées and small eats and sushi rolls. Its more than enough to fill you stomach .will visit again in the summer to experience patio dining.....
Good taste, portion sizes are really small...
Kinda small but thats part of the atmosphere theyre going for. The food is amazing.
The service here is impeccable! The hot stone bowls are amazing along with everything else. Love it
Best sushis in Regina
Great quiet place with a friend. Service was great, too!
Waited almost an hour for nothing. Very bad! Wont go there again!!
Very expensive and not worth the cost.
I liked the food but the portions are very small myself and a friend were still hungry Id happily pay more to be full. Service was slow which I was surprised by as it wasnt that busy maybe 5 other tables. The atmosphere was nice we sat outside the downside was the tree above us it needs pruning. I would eat there again but maybe go not as hungry next time.
Restaurant is over rated. Great service, but the food was not good at all.
Went for lunch with my partner to try their version of Bi Bim Bap a dish that I love and have had in many different places outside of Regina. The server was mostly pleasant, the food took a Lillie long to arrive. My dish was Bi Bim Bap in a hot stone bowl with Kimchi. I was pretty excited...until it arrived...it had big pile of unmelted shredded cheese. Now I am lactose intolerant, I didnt read cheese being in the dish on the menu. I could have been mistaken. I didnt check the menu again as I was becoming very interested in the place. I explained to the server that I was lactose intolerant and was informed that I couldnt have a new one unless I paid for two because I didnt tell them. My medical information, my privacy. I made the mistake of assuming. I paid for the dish as it can get sketchy as to weather they produced what they were supposed too or is it really them making poor choices in dish construction. The cheese was the first time I had ever experienced cheese in this traditional Korean dish. This place says they are fusion so, ok put cheese on I guess...but gross. I wont be back and cant recommend. Be careful out there....
I had dinner at Orange Izakaya Cafe, and it was great! The food was tasty, especially their rolls. Its clear their chefs know what theyre doing! The server working there was friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The place itself has a cool vibe - very welcoming and clean. Prices were decent for the quality and amount of food. Cant beat it! Highly recommend here to anyone looking for a great Asian food in Regina.
Such a cool little place! We stopped in at the end of a long road trip of junky fast food for something fresh and delicious, and this place DELIVERED. It started to get really busy after we came in but the service was top notch and the rolls were so tasty. Nothing bad to say, would return anytime.
Solid food. Would love larger portions.
Best Takoyaki in town.
One of my favorite places in Regina. Great food and staff. Have the Dolsot Bi Bim Bab and the Philidelphia Roll.
Its a bar, not a restaurant. If you want to be full, dont go there. Service and environment are okay.
Had a lovely lunch here. The food was very high quality and delicious. We had several sushi items and veg tempura which impressed on all fronts. The tempura batter was perfect. Also the chicken teriyaki and miso. Shared all and were very pleased. Staff are very attentive and friendly.
Had lunch with my son here, food was great. Service excellent. I would go back. We sat on the patio. Parking: Ni problem on the street.
I love this place, Ive been going for maybe 2 or 3 years and its probably my favourite restaurant. Service is always friendly, welcoming and accommodating, no matter whose working or what time. I had a birthday here one year and the staff was kind enough to allow us to bring an outside cake and even gave us plates for it :] (we asked when we made resverations if we could) Foods always delicous and theyve never forgotten anything or a modifaction. They also have really good fries despite the theme of Korean-Japanese (they of course have good in theme food too). Their gyoza, fried chicken, kalbi, kimchi, and miso soup are all things Id recommend. The atmosphere is very chill and calming, its nice but not formal. Its very welcoming and soothing. If I had to say one thing that could be improved on, it would probably be accessibilty. This may be because of how the building was built before, but the only way up, to my knowledge, to the Cafe is stairs, no ramp. They might have a side door that can be used, but I havent seen it or have seen any wheelchair users in there. The bathrooms may also not be big enough for a wheelchair user to transfer seats, but I dont know. Overall, I love this place, its one of my go-to places and I will happily go again. Wheelchair accessibility: To my knowledge, the only way up to the place is the stairs at the front, theres no ramp. There may be a side door somewhere however. Also, Im not certain that the bathroom would be big enough for a wheelchair user to transfer from chair to the toilet.
Great food, Vegetable Tempura and Teriyaki Chicken was tasty and the dish was balanced.
Cute restaurant. Awesome bibimbap.
Might be just one off, but my food was far from the avarage rating. The udon noodles with prawn was not my best choice, the 4 (!) tiny prawns were dry, except one. When I complained, thay dedacted $3 from my bill. Would not come here again.
Love the food here, an authentic Japanese tavern.
Its so delicious! I highly recommend it haha
We went for wine night last week. The atmosphere is great, very small, dark lit and intimate. The server was very nice and outgoing. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees. The burger that I had was purported to be an asian infusion take on a burger... it just had some teriaki sauce in it and it wasnt anything to write home about. The rest of the food was good. We also waited an obscene amount of time for our entrees even after three other tables that came in after us got served their full meals before we did, and we were able to sip our way through our bottle of wine before getting our entrees. This place should be a Regina 4 star but its getting a 3...
We had a wonderful experience at Orange Izakaya last night! Excellent service from the server who never writes down your order....she remembers all orders and always gets them right!! Drink orders were taken right away and food served quickly. And it was hot! Clean restaurant and washroom. It was a very pleasant, relaxing night for all six of us! Highly recommend this place!
Great service and great food. Always pleasant staff and a friendly smile.
Very nice meal. A variety of sushi rolls were all well received by the table. My Asian flavored burger was excellent. The non-Asian french fries were among ths best I have had. Only negative - only one waitress working the floor. She was excellent but it was somewhat distracting watching her work the whole room non-stop. But kudos to her for the effort.
Delicious food plated beautifully. Great service as well!
Food came quick, food was fantastic and service was amazing!!! Will be back for more !!!
Lovely every time. They inexplicably have the best french fries in Regina. If you arent a seafood person, the chicken teriyaki sandwich is great! Dont forget the martini either
Better than other ones
Great kitchen and really good service. Highly recommend this place for a nice quiet dinner.
Preordered for pick up so I could eat while listening to the music in Holy Rosary park. The order was ready when I arrived. The service was friendly and fast. The food is always fresh and delicious! They even allow you to buy booze to take away as well. I reccomend this place for lunch or dinner.
Love the fresh sushi and comfortable environment
Great little place. It is on the pricier side but it has a real neighborhood feel with lots of repeat customers. Enjoyable food and some unique combinations (peanut butter on sushi). The menu is not extensive and there are one or two vegetarian items in each category. Gave it 4 stars as the sushi was not as good as I would expect. Stick to the appetizers and the entrees as they were much better. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options not an extensive menu.
Great dinner experience at their patio on one of summer nights. Great food and services.
Outstanding rolls.
Highly recommend. I called to check if dogs were allowed on the patio, they are, and she asked when we were coming and she reserved us a spot without me asking! (Thank goodness, it was full otherwise). Food was incredible. We had the kimchi veggie gyoza, spicy tofu, japchae, and hot stone dol sot bibimbap. Waitress was busy but you couldnt tell from her demeanor. She was nice to my dog and so helpful, friendly and kind. I will definitely go next time Im in Regina!
I checked for the good reviews and we went there the waitress told us they can t dine in so we asked for take out . she didn t let us to sit on regular dining tables because they wiped! Then we just see at the same time they get us our food they serve other guests food ! and that wasn t nice . The food was not bad but not good too the Salmon as in photo had dark parts too .
Orange offers good food and awesome ambiance. The servings are small but the quality is one of the best for resto grade Korean/Japanese cuisine. We re usually not fans of fusion food because they tend to taste more of one cuisine vs the other but Orange Izakaya is an exception. The Korean LA rib set and Bibimbap tasted authentic with strong korean flavours and the Japanese apps of Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu and Shrimp Tempura are fluffy and delicate in flavour as japanese cuisine should be. Highly recommend and a bonus it s in a neighbourhood where you can walk and explore so much hole-in-a-wall mom and pop shops.
Great sushi Great menu
Place is nice. The ambiance is good. I found it a bit expensive and less on the quantity but the food is delicious.
Very good food. Efficient service. Recommended.
Parking: easy street parking and Sufway parking
I like Japanese food here. It isn t cheep but the food is taste.
Orange Izakaya goes out of their way every single time to provide the best customer service in the city! I ve always thought their food was good, but then I finally tried their sushi rolls and japchae and WOW now their food is an addiction.
My daughter went to the Orange Izakaya Fusion Cafe . We loved the food, the service was outstanding. The Atmosphere was very Authentic and also warm on a cold winters evening.
One of the best sushi places in town to have sushi. Sushi was really good. My wifes Bibimbap was good but lacked flavour. She added the sauce that came with it and greatly improved but probably not seasoned right from the get go. Service really good. If you go on a really cold day, the back door lets the draft in so could be cold towards the back of the restaurant. Overall, a good experience.
Ordered a vegetable gyoza and tempura. It turns out , veg g is not a restaurant made. They buy them premade. On top that the order took 1.5hrs to be ready. Disappointing and will not be returning.
Great food and very friendly.
Love this place so much! Definitely a great place for getting my fix of tasty Korean dishes, including a dolsot bibimbap with pork bulgogi and some yummy sushi offerings too!
Nice vegan options
This is probably the best sushi I ve had in Regina. Fresh avocado, properly cooked rice, it was great! I also had the yaki udon which was delicious. Good service and chill ambiance. The only down side was sitting by the window there were a bunch of baby flies crawling around.
Food was fantastic as always, and service was great. It was my first time sitting on the patio, which was lovely, except for the chairs out there. They look pretty neat but were not comfortable at all. Regardless of seating, highly recommend going here.
Always amazing....sweet chili roll is awesome
Delicious food! Really friendly and timely service.
so perfect
Amazing flavour and textures. So good!!!
Delicious food.
BIBIMBAP
Service was fast food was amazing
I was surprised and happy that a Korean person served the meal. The food was good ^^
The food is unreal! Everything I have ever ordered here has been amazing!
Great location and mouthwatering bowls
Very tasty. Great service.
Great place! friendly staff, food is delicious and ambiance is so nice specially during the night. Will definitely be going back soon.
Good restaurant.
Amazing food at great prices!
It was my first time going at the place and the Entreè Chicken Teriyaki that I ordered a piece of chicken was not even chewable I dont know why but it was bad. Then the vegetables that goes with was an old piece u can easily tell by the colour of the cabbage from edges and some has black spots on it.
One of my favorite restaurants. The food and service are both fantastic.
Service is polite and timely. Order the Kalbi app and Volcano roll. Japchae noodle is nice and if youre into tofu, then the Agedashi is worth it. Nice ambience. Food is delicious and consistent whether youre ordering for dine in, pick up, or delivery.
Great food and really cute restaurant would definitely come here again!
Great vegetarian options and their patio is dog-friendly.
The best place to get some fantastic Korean food
Always great food and service.
Pretty good. Kind of neat. Portions are good. Nabours cat wandered to dinning area and got lots of attention.
Great food!
Nice!
Good food but a bit pricey and online says they have ramen but they dont.
Mediocre place
Excellent sushi! Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating as well. I will definitely be back!
Only place you can get a hot stone bi bim bap! Ask for hot sauce
Excellent staff, excellent food (sushi was YUM). Definitely coming back here again.
Super dope low key spot in town if you havent yet do yourself the favor
Whenever we want good korean we go to Orange. They have great bibimbap and bulgogi.
Dolsot Bibimbap could be the best in town!
Great options
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great! The lighting at night is very nice and the staff are very friendly!
Mmmm yum I love this place the food is DELICIOUS.. AMAZING SERVICE,the little server with the blonde hair and the glasses fast, friendly, helpful when wondering what was in certain dishes..I fully recommend this place!
Absolutely excellent sushi. Will be back again soon!
Discovered this place by accident and we LOVE it! Awesome staff, Great food and our new fav date spot!
passing by
Great service and delicious food.
Fantastic place!
Service was great! The server there was friendly, and worked very hard. I got there at 5pm, 1st customer of the night and she by herself was able to pull 6 tables by herself and still smile and keep that good customer service attitude. The reason why Im giving 3 stars is because Im a Ramen fanatic, on the Google reviews someone posted a delicious bowl of ramen, however, upon arriving it didnt looked like a ramen spot. So i asked and obviously there was no ramen, I know its not the Restaurant fault, however, whoevers is their person in charge of their website and keeping track of their post, should have removed that post of ramen that is tag on their Google reviews. Overall, food was amazingly delicious! I had the hot pot beef with rice and sweet sliced of pork and also some Gyoza! Servings size are good prices are moderate and location is nice since there are other spots to grab coffee after.
It was pretty damn good lunch. I was too hungry and miss the picture lol!!!
Cute little patio, cold beer, and delicious bibimbap bowls.
Loved this place. Ill be back
It is very enjoyable. I often try to start my evening here with sushi and warm Sake.
Amazing Tako Yaki and Agedashi Tofu! Sushi was just okay though. Looking forward to trying some of the Korean dishes next time.
Always great
They have a good mix of Korean and Japanese dishes, including beers and sake. I had the bibimbap as well as some tako yaki, and it was delicious!
Vert delicious and good service
My girlfriend and I have dined and had take-out from here a couple times and we love it. Whether its dine-in or take-out the food is delicious. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is great. Starters to mains are all great. We would recommend you try it all.
Amazing fresh and delicious
Great food, good ambience and service.
Its a great place for eating but its too bad they close from 2 to 5. A gang of us used to go for coffee break there and we often did buy some food as well.
Very yummy.
Love this place, remember to add cheese.
Food is amazing! Extra cheese on bibimbap is a must try. :)
One of the best-kept secrets in Regina. Their Dolsot Bi Bim Bap bowls are incredible.
Food was excellent. The Udon noodles were delicious
Fresh, delicious with gre as t service! First time there, needs an interior door to keep the cold out.
Always delicious and great customer service!
Nice place to hang out
Decent stuff, good vibe. A little overpriced, but what isnt?
Tasty food and sweet service!
Great flavours, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere.
Great bulgogi
Food was OK, service was fine. The bar/Cafe looks cool, but its not very Japanese and its too expensive.
Food is okay. Ambience is nice
Love Orange!!
This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Regina my girlfriend and I love to have tempura and crispy roll every single time and its always amazing would highly recommend this place
