Welcome to Al-Buraq! Here, we’re all about making food that’s not just tasty but also exciting. We put a lot of thought and creativity into our menu, using only the freshest and finest ingredients.
Good food but pricey. Staff such as Mr. Asif can often misguide you on food, quantity, and preparation time. What he/they suggest enough for two people is only good for one. In addition to the main dishes we ordered for combos, he completely forgot to inform us that it is to be taken from the buffet. He said he would let us know, and then he remained busy with others, keeping us in limbo. If there are multiple guests and big groups, they easily mess up. Too busy and misses standard. Still go there for the limited options in the city. The owner is good tough, often comes to the table and enquires about food and gives discounts.
We tried nihari and halwa puri breakfast for the first time. It was fresh and delicious, with an amazing taste. Highly recommended!
The nihari was extremely inedible and the owner of the restaurant refused to hear any feedback. Her response: “our food is always the best and it cant be bad.” When i say it was inedible, it was downright disgusting. The food was old and the beef was hard as if left out overnight.
I go there on certain interval..Very tasty food. Halal food served..Beef biriyanii & Nehari is the best in regina for sure.New manager asif is very interactive with Customers in friendly manner.
Kabab is not as tasty as it used to be. Paratha shape is like they have cooked for the first time. They give burned garlic naan.
Basically Pakistani cuisine is served here.A grocery store n halal meat shop is also attached. We alongwith guests had Saturday Breakfast experience a number of times. Nihari,Tilwaleiy Nan,Paeiy ,Halwa ,Puri and Potato curry are delicious.Chaneiy ( Grams) ,though large in size, have strange herbal taste..Tea lacks taste.Hard working Owners ( Mr. & Mrs. Saeed)need to address these issues and remain competitive in quality and price. Good to see a small prayer room and water pot (Lota) in washroom.
This is the best Pakistani restuarant in Regina. Their food is delicious and actually tastes like real Pakistani cuisine. Tried their halwa puri and chanay on Sat along with Nihari and naan. It was awesome Also tried their Haleem, karahi and bbq… superb
Updated March 21, 2024 Went for Iftar dinner (breaking fast) today evening. This is the only restaurant in town which are serving buffet during Ramadan. Buffet was huge consist of almost 15 dishes plus soft drinks. Every item on menu tasted great. Service was great. Place was busy. Cost $25 plus tax per person. Totally worth it Highly recommended Update (January 14, 2023) This is our 3rd visit to this eatery but 1st time we went for breakfast. We ordered traditional South Asian items such as Halwa Puri (Fried flat bread made from All purpose flour) Halwa ( made from Semolina, sugar & Ghee) Chickpeas curry Potato curry Paya (feet meat from Goat or cow) Nihari ( Beef stew) All times were delicious and comes in good quantities. We were group of 15 and everyone including kids loved the food. If you like this type of food or want to try, this restaurant is highly recommended. Update: (December 12, 2022)had a dinner today with family and friends total 16 persons. Place is so mush improved since our last visit. Now printed menu was there, service was top notch and food was even better then last visit. Very friendly owner, informed us about the grocery store opening beside the restaurant soon. Great sitting area, enough place for kids to move around and adults to eat and relax. Highly recommended Went for dinner today evening. Ordered one each of beef kebab, chicken kebab and Nihari (kind of beef stew). Beef kebabs was the best among all. Price was reasonable, service just about ok. No written menu available. Main hall was kind of cold. No online menu available or website. I understand family just opened the business and must be going through lots of challenges at early stages. Will definitely visit again after few months once they settled. My best wishes to family and I am going to recommend others. All the best.
Best bread (Naan) in Saskatchewan and Alberta. It was very soft & tasty. Im sure you guys will enjoy it, too.
Tasty breakfast, especially haleem, beef nihari & garlic naan
Food is not good. The price is high in terms of quantity. Service is most worst. We went with 10 people for dinner. Got the worst service from them. I would not recommend anyone to go there.
Good biryani and tea.
Really good food. Will be visiting again soon.
Food was good.
Add prices to your menu!!!!!!!?
I must say i have tried many restaurants in Alberta and saskatchewan, this one does stand out in terms of taste. Amazing and authentic food. Not to mention their prices are very affordable
Excellent
Dreadful restaurant.
28 June 2024 There Website Showing Opening 11:00 am I came twice , this day and spent $29 on uber, Before i came I tried to call them, after arriving second time they picked call and said they will open at 3:00 pm but their website showing 11:00 am. I don t have issues on their food, But they always said, timing..Its google mistake , which i heard from them , almost 6 month .
This place doesn t care about customers. I ordered biryani for pickup. When I came home to start eat . Biryani looks like 3 weeks old . I tasted little portion of biryani. It s was awful and tasteless. Chicken portion was cold and look ugly like old 3 weeks . This place sucks happened 2 time. I don t recommend this place and just wasting of money and time to go there
Delicious! My favorite is the kadi pakora. The chicken biryani is really good too. Both are probably my favorite in the city. Definitely recommend.
Waited for literally 1 hr and a plate of salad came on our table. TERRIBLE SERVICE.
Food wasn t bad. But service was poor. Even the owners of the restaurant didn t bother to greet or welcome their customers. Absolutely non professional behaviour.
Good for A small get together.
All are good
Everytime I go there I get greeted so kindly by the staff working there. The food is so delicious, especially their paya.
Real pakistani taste
We tried halwa puri there and the taste was awesome. I will recommend trying halwa puri if ur in regina, the staff was also very cooperative and friendly.
Great food
In Regina it s one of the best place for halal bbq, specially beef seekh kebab n tandori chicken is excellent. Also reasonable prices, ambience n service needs attention highly recommended to support local.
The food was awful. Food was cold and there was not any flavour in the food .
Great service, value, fresh and everything homemade way. One of the best restaurant for all type of Pakistani food. Specially halwa puri very tasty and famous in weekend. if you love Pakistani food and good taste you must visit this restaurant Its our weekly stop for dinner or lunch. Aunty and her family are super kind people
Great tasting food..wonderful biriyani ever had. Softest rotis. Best sheek kababs ever had. Wonderful place to visit with family. Parking: Lots of free parking.
Inconsistent Portion Sizes, Unjustified Explanation, My recent experience with this place left me utterly dissatisfied. Upon receiving a half-filled curry container, I was told its a 24oz portion, which didnt justify the lack of curry. Disappointed, I ordered from elsewhere and found a comparable 24oz curry container, but this time filled to the brim. The inconsistency in portion sizes and the explanation given were disheartening. Quality and quantity should not be compromised, and I hope they address this issue for future customers.
Butter chicken recipe needs to be changed immediately. I get tiny tiny pieces of chicken in gravy which is not expected.
Food is always good and tandoori roti is best
My friend and I ordered a takeout of Chicken biriyani, Beef Biriyani and Mix Bbq Platter from this spot and they told itll take 25-30 mins to get ready. We had also reconfirmed if all the raita and sauces were in the pack but when we got home, there were no raita or sauces. Also the both the biriyani were cold as if someone took it out of a fridge. I wonder if its yesterdays, definitely was not fresh. Since me and my friend were both very tired after work we both didnt bother to go back and just heated up the food and ate it. Tried calling to complain but no one picked up.
Nothing on the menu was available, they warmed up chick karahi with lots of water in it, BBQ was half cooked.
The lady is generous and the food is delicious.
BEWARE! VEGETARIAN OPTIONS ARE CONTAMINATED WITH MEAT!!! I was promised no meat in chickpea curry dish but was cross contaminated with meat. I do not eat beef for religious reasons and upon further inspection, we realized the piece of meat found in the curry was indeed beef. I dont know if this was intentional but indeed a horrendous blunder by AlBuraq. This has hurt my sentiments and I would not trust the management and kitchen staff at AlBuraq ever again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would suggest better alternatives to this joke of a restaurant called AlBuraq.
The Halwa Pori at Alburaq Restaurant is a delicious Pakistani breakfast dish. The sweet and halwa pairs perfectly with the crispy and flaky pori and tasty channa on side was amazing. The dish is presented beautifully and is definitely worth trying.
The one and only Pakistani restaurant in Regina. The environment is friendly and the owner from Chakwal is also very caring. Food was delicious but I could not enjoy in full because I was sick .
Chicken biriyani is great. The food was delicious
Don t waste your money! Spent almost $70 and got a bowl of thin, greasy soup as a chicken curry (I know Pakistani/East Indian cuisine is cooked with ghee, this did not taste like ghee) and a chicken biryani that was very light on the chicken and stone cold. The naans were ok and the mixed meat platter (allegedly cooked at the same time as the curry and biryani) was at least hot, just. Called to complain and they refused to replace or refund based on the fact it was a take out. We live 5 minutes from the restaurant and the entire meal was brought home in a thermal bag and a warm car. Even in the middle of winter that s not a trip long enough to cool hot food to this extent. There are many better options for Pakistani/East Indian food in Regina and we ll be sticking with them in future Not sure if there is new management/ownership; the receipt shows a business address on Pasqua Street but we visited the restaurant on Victoria Avenue (old Glitters). Phone number came up as Corporate Electric when we called.
Yummy yummy tasty food.
Food was fresh and delicious. The best desi food Ive had in a while.
Although it was a bit too spicy for my taste but overall the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Dietary restrictions: Everything is Halal here.
Delicious home made food and friendly staff. This place does not disappoint. The butter Naan is out of this world.
The beef kabab were microwaved and the salad was a week old. The naan were overly done. Worst place in town. Would not recommend it.
Best Pakistani food. Will highly recommend chicken khari and chicken seekh kabab. Their Naan bread is also the closest thing you will get to real Naan in saskatchewan. Our go to restaurant.
Fresh delicious food and reasonable prices as well.
Good authentic Pakistani food. Beef seekh kababs are the best.
Amazing food, better Pakistani food than most places in Toronto. Very tasty felt like home made food
They shall spend a lot on the food, and then it will be a perfect combination of Asian Resturant. This review is for the owners to listen to constructive feedback for their own benefit. We had halwa poori it was alot alot alot oily. The chickpeas were tasteless and a lot alot oil. The sweet was just fine but alot alot alot oil. Overall, it was the clean restaurant and oil oil oil. Please bring some desi cook with good taste who knows how to cook. We want taste, not oil oil oil. Also, please see the prices for 2 set poori and 4 extra poori we paid35$ which is alot alot alot Thank you
One of best taste that you can get in this town. 10/10 had Beef Nihari and Beef Haleem with Garlic naan. Totally recommend
Fresh and quality Food.. 100% value for money... I tried chicken biriyani, 100% Recommendable.. All best for AlBuraq. Parking: Good one
Best Pakistani halwa puri in Regina. Highly recommended
Such good food. The building is a bit run down but dont let that dissuade you. Dont forget the garlic naan...best Ive had in Regina.
The food was good.
This was our first time eating here. We have wanted to check it out for some time! I am from Vancouver so have eaten Pakistani food before, and this was honestly the best I have eaten. It was amazing, the flavors so fresh, good portions. It may be my favorite food I have eaten in Regina period! We will be back again and again! We had a meal for wife and I and it was under $60, both leaving very very full. (Haleem, biryani, garlic naan, butter chicken, seekh kebabs) Seriously, if you like middle eastern food, stop in and give it a try!
Food is real delicious, service part is bit concern otherwise overall a good experience
Very good food I loved
Biryani, Karahi and kebabs are good. Place is quite congested. But overall a good place to dine in
Undoubtedly one of the best halal food restaurants in Regina.
Excellent place for halal authentic food
Came here with local friends to eat who eat here often. We had several Naan, kabab, butter chicken, chicken tikka and nihari. The butter chicken, kabab, and Naan were good, The nihari was OK The chicken Tikka was dry and I dont recommend it. The service was friendly, but slow and a little less than professional, which we didnt mind, but you might. The waitress spoke to us in Urdu because we can speak Urdu, and asked us where we are from. The restaurant was mostly empty, but decor was lacking and it just felt dead.
Delicious food awesome service.. Thank you so much guys having this facility in city.
Highly recommend this place, the food and service was amazing. Keep up the great job!
Its a great experience, awesome food with tasty . Vegetarian options are available . Most likely is BBqs Food : 5/5
Food is decent but the service is beyond pathetic. They ll tell you to wait 2 minutes and make you wait another 30. Awful customer service, thats all I can say.
Great and authentic Pakistani food!
Delicious halwa puri, nihari, paya & naan for weekend breakfast, everything halal, good choice for halal restaurant in regina
Best biriyani at the cheapest price. A clean atmosphere inside. Dietary restrictions: Halal Food : 5/5 |
Superb and tasty fresh food. Superb management.
Went for supper with wife today. Been there before for Seekh Kebab which were really tasty n juicy. Today we ordered Nihari, Seekh Kebab with Naan, and Kheer. Everything was tasty with ample portion at affordable price. Service was excellent and the restaurant was tidy without any spices smell. I can go there again and again without any regrets. Highly recommended if you wanna experience Pakistani food with real Pakistani taste and aroma.
Worst customer service. Lady at the front was silent as hell. She even didn t reply to our hello. No HELLO/ WELCOME or Goodbye. Food took over 45 to serve and once it was served, nobody came afterward to see if we need something else. Very basic menu items and even from those, few were out. But the front lady must have had free sponsor to Canada. Definitely NOT recommend this place.
Were from Saskatoon and came to Regina for a work trip...had 4 cups of absolutely brilliant chai! The nihari, paratha and halwa puri made for a perfect breakfast. The chef came out and chatted with us. Brilliant service! Definitely marked for our next visit to Regina!
Dirty, tardy, zero customer service Waited 2 hours never got served Food
Very poor experience. After waiting for 2 hrs, we asked how much longer and they kept saying 10 more minutes and at one time we said we would have left if we knew it will take this long, she said ok then leave. We left without eating. Unfortunately, they dont know how to deal with such big order of 13 people. We had kids, diabetic people in our group. They didnt maintain order serial. People who came after us got their order before us. I was a long time customer of this restaurant but wont come again. Never again. If you are a big crowd of 10+ people, avoid this place. They will make you wait for hours and then when things get difficult they may misbehave with you. They are not professional.
They made us waited for an hour and still did not serve food to us. Unable to serve a group of people. They only serve to Pakistanis! When we told them our children are sterving, if they had not prepared our food, then we would leave. She (Ruby Aunty) told us to leave! Poor customer service I could understand but no service!!! We went to the kitchen thinking she would appologize, but she and her mate ( a male guy) all are same. No applogy. They did not request us to eat as they are probably on the way preparing our food! They made two toddlers left without food. Place is not clean. They never cleaned the table. Under stuff. Only two printed menus. To give to someone else they took it from us! The same lady cooks, serves food and takes payment! They should have just told us they would not be able to serve food to 13 people group (2 kids). Even more than two hours spending at the restaurent, we did not get our food served. When we mentioned that if they should have told us before letting us seat, she asked us to leave!!!
Exceptionally poor customer service. Callous and rude behaviour from the management. We waited for two hours and still we were not served. When we asked about the food they said that they re very busy in the kitchen. Hence we said that if they had told us that the wait time is that long, we would have left, and immediately they asked us to leave. They were not apologetic at all, instead they were aggressive and disrespectful about their terrible customer service. We never got the food or tasted anything. Not recommended at all.
Worst experience of my life. We waited two hours for food, they didnt serve us. When we told them after 2 hours, if you had told us it would take time we would have leave. The lady says, then you can leave. She just don t know how to behave with her customer. So much rude and aggresive. Dont know how to handle large group of people (13 people) We told them our kids are hungry but they said we are busy. They didnt even apologize when we were leaving. Those who came after us, got service before us. I will never recommend this restaurant to big group.
Short staffed. The owners need serious training on restaurant management or there is no way this business can sustain in the long run. Highly recommended tv shows for the owners; Kitchen Nightmares and Hells Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay. Thank you.
We came from another city for Nihari , they served us really bad nihari with a lot of fat and old coriander leaves in it , lemon seeds. When i talked to the server she said. I dont know why you dont like it everyone likes it very rude. The owners were in restaurant but there was no acknowledgment. I will never go again here.
Very delicious food always fresh whichever days you dine in. Went couple of time to dine in never get disappointed and highly recommend for people who loves to eat meat. Highly recommending mutton curry and tikka boneless.
The best experience ever...
Very delicious Haleem and seekh kabab very nice anti
The food is awesome here.. Specially owner is really very friendly..
Food tastes really good. BBQ items are recommended.
Only naan and seekh kabab is ok otherwise rest of food waste of money. No taste .
Amazing balance of spices and flavourful food items. Would recommend all their naans, seekh kabab, bbq items and Haleem Also the kheer/firni in dessert is also refreshing
Pathetic service
Just 1 vegetarian option super disappointed
Real authentic Pakistani food, loved Nihari, Qeema and Chicken Tikka. Choolay and pakooray was tasty too. Recommend
best pakistani food in the city! my family and i love going here, the food is always very delicious. love the staff, and the environment as well. had iftar buffet few days ago, which was excellent. all the dishes were really good honestly. 5/5
The place is so so.We had to wait for our food for too long. The staff forgot a few times of what we ordered and we had to remind them what we really needed to .
Best Seekh Kababs in Saskatchewan. Economical and reasonable portion sizes. Sister Zainab was so kind and helpful in choosing the best menu item (Seekh Kababs)
Tasty food.
Amazing food and such friendly people!!
Delicious N great customer service
Very delicious food 5 out of 5 and amazing service - definitely will recommend!
Food is good, price is also too good but they lack in cleanliness, there plates and utensils are not properly washed and sanitized.
The best Pakistani (halal) resturant. Everything is delicious!! Higly recommended!!
Amazing food. Friendly service. The Halim was excellent and the best most unique kebabs we have ever had. Full of flavor. Will definitely be coming back.
Good Pakistani restaurant
When you want good Pakistani taste, you should come here Best Restaurant in Regina 10 out of 10
Must try their Chicken and Beef Seekh Kabobs..Best in the Town### Nihari and Paaye are other top dishes if u know the language of Taste.
Great food
Came in tried the kebab; delicious! They asked our spice levels right off the bat, customer service was prompt and friendly :) will be back
Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Do try seekh paratha and biryani.
You can taste the spices and taste of real Pakistani food here.Best Pakistani food restaurant in Regina.
Took this place from the amazing Glitters to .... this place..... I dont think they will ever see us as a customer
Family Run restaurant. Delicious food. Had Daal Mash, Chicken Karahi with Roti. Must Try
We try kabab rote and Bagan they are fresh and teasty. We ordered by phone is better if anyone want to save time.
Seek paratha the best Also nihari
Awful food, was not fresh. Order took way to long to come, and server to told us a dish wasn t available after a 30 min wait. This is the last time we visit this restaurant.
The service is terrible and food was not appetizing at all. Disappointed.
I had a good experience with them and their kebab was delicious, and jeenat were very friendly
Second Home in SK. Amazing food.
Their food is always so good! Highly recommend the chicken karahi and the chicken tikka ! The kebabs are also super tasty and fresh
Authentic food. Courteous staff. Lovely ambiance
This is the most exceptional and authentic restaurant in Regina. The flavors are exquisite and each dish is prepared with lots of class and care. Since it is a family run new business you may expect slight delay in between placing your order till it is finally served to your table. So expect that when you order your food. Give them the time cause when you get the food to your table you will discover that it was worth the wait. My best friend introduced my family to this restaurant. We felt like we had been to the Moti Mahal Delux or Delhi Darbar of India just due to the mere fact that the food is so rightly spiced. It felt like the food didnt have the pre made gravies that often cause a heartburn. This Pakistani restaurant serves the most authentic food with moderate prices and gives you an experience of a delux fine dine restaurant. This is my opinion and I strongly urge you to go and give them a try. Hope overtime with the correct experience they will be able to bring your order to your table faster. I would rate this restaurant as the best Desi restaurant in Saskatchewan.
The food is great, and very reasonably priced.
Took my staff out for dinner here, the food was awesome.
amazing food
Extremely disappointed with the customer service. Do yourself a favor and dont order from here. Ordered food and came after 2.5 hours. The owners were rude instead of apologizing for their pathetic service. Will never order from here again.
Worst restaurant in Regina. Customer service is very poor took 2.5 hours to arrive. Owner is rude and did not apologize. Food was average. Just do yourself a favour and donot go there
We went there just to try out some kebabs and found the restaurant was considerably busy. They did not have any menu so we ordered all the kebabs they had available for that day. Food arrived after 20-25 minutes which is a good sign as they must be making it fresh. The moment we took the first bite we realised that our journey to find the best beef kebab in Regina ends today. It was so fresh, flavourful, rightly spiced , soft and juicy. Chicken seekh kebabs were equally good and tikkas were ok too. The owner offered us to try Nihari which was just outstanding and reminded me of my visits to old Delhi restaurants. Being a chef myself and owing another Indian restaurant in town I can confidently say that they serve the best beef/ chicken seekh kebabs and Nihari Gosht in Saskatchewan. Keep up the good work!!!
Food was awesome. I always go here with my family. I have never tasted such good Pakistani cuisine in Regina ever before. They used to own Rubys kitchen, which was not in a great place, but the food was fantastic and still is. The owners are the nicest people ever. Sometimes it gets busy, so the food can take 5 minutes more, but that wait is worth it. Try this restaurant, you will not regret it.
Nice decorations and arrangements for tables. Way better than the previous restaurant named Rubys Kitchen. The stuffs are friendly. The taste of food is as delicious as before. Still love their beef Nehary. The added item in the menu kabab platter is the best. Kabab platter includes all the kabab items that is available here. The price of the food is reasonable. Currently they are not serving buffet items.
We went there with family and ordered a handsome quantity of food with some BBQ, chicken items from main dishes and Lamb Biryani. The food was not fresh and meat in Biryani was so chewy that we left all meat on plate. Gray in chicken dishes are re-used and one can easily told that the dishes were not fresh and taste awful. Probably the last time we visited this place.
Good food. Nice place. Nice People.
The kabobs are amazing. Biryani is spot on. Keep up the good work
Flavours are excellent
The best places to have a tasty food. I will highly recommend.
Delicious food Friendly staff
Always delicious food.
Very nice restaurant. Probably one of the best restaurant in regina. The best option for those who crave biriyani and kababs Their special is biriyani. If you like to have the biriyani make sure you book the order through phone first because there is a chance for them to run out of biriyani. The price is really affordable Nice and clean environment Customer service is also really good Food quality and quantity is really worth the money.
Very nice food indeed. Obviously recently setting up a new premises will take a little time and the service will improve. The soft naans, the kebabs and chicken tikka are tasty and succulent. The sooner they have the restaurant all set up and staff to assist in the kitchen and menus in place this restaurant will be a really big success and it will be bookings in advance for dine in. Once again thanks for the tasty dinner!
Good biriyani at small price
Was nice
We ordered Naans, Chicken and Beef Kebabs. Everything was excellent, hopefully more people can enjoy their food. We need to support our local businesses, especially ones that are owned and operated by women.
Great halal food! I attended the party of almost 80 people this weekend. The taste, quality and quantity were great! Their food including mutton korma, chicken korma, chicken Palak, kheer, zarda, palao especially kababs and naans were their specialty amazing. It feels like I am eating in Pakistan, The thing I liked the most is their refilling and quick service as I noticed in other desi restaurants that they cheat in refilling and people waiting a lot for the refill or the good/expensive items never refilled. Only the thing to improve is to make their yoghurt mint chatni more thick. Chatni is a little item but very important supporting item with kababs. I will rate 4.75 /5. If chatni was thick then 5/5. My family is waiting for their buffet!
Best pakistani halwa puri breakfast in regina.
