The Food was pathetic, the beef Wallington wasnt cooked properly ,the service was very very slow even tho the restaurant wasnt really busy ,the birthday dessert was awful, not at all worth for the money ,would recommend eating at some fastfood restaurant, just wasted my birthday evening and money. The tables are very close together you can barely fit between them. The staff are incompetent. The manager should really crack down on their phone procedure. It seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. The food is good

Had a couple of appetizers last week as mains were over the top priced, they were poor and overpriced, service superb, atmosphere didn t match price, it will be difficult to go back!

honestly i have no clue how this place has this hype we were so excited to go and what a let down. steak was like shoe leather with two slices of apples on the side. glad they didn t make me pay for it. the beef Wellington had no flavor and the bread with it was rock solid. food had a massive long wait time and the restaurant was dead. and the drinks that where on special where straight rum and un drinkable. location and vibe was cool but i can t see myself returning.

I literally have been anticipating and waiting in excitement to find time to book my reso for this restaurant. I ve heard such good reviews in the past year. I ve worked in the food and bar industry for 18 years now and have worked my way to General manager and take huge pride in every customers experience in my store. I am hugely disappointed in the food I had such high hopes. The service was weak at best won t be coming back and won t be recommending. The servers had lack of knowledge of thier products, took a very long time for drinks or questioned answered

We love this place! We don t even consider going elsewhere for dinner & drinks when we re in Regina. The staff are incredible & very welcoming (even when we changed our reso time twice and were still late ). Come here if you want an impressive night out in this little city!

I liked the service and the atmosphere! But I expected more from the food, not very tasty pasta with seafood and there was almost no seafood, there were empty shells and some fish, for such a price they could have put more fish and shrimp. The aperol spritz cocktail was lovely and delicious!

I was excited to try this restaurant for my birthday. My friends and I had the absolute worst experience here. The service was terrible and not only that, I found a piece of purple plastic in my steak. I couldn t eat my dinner and when I called to report the issue, they didn t seem to care. I will never return.

Party of three for dinner, decided to have the 4 course tasting menu. Food is good and well prepared. However, I would not recommend the tasting menu, as the portions are not suitable in size for three people (especially for the upgrade to the Wellington). Unfortunately left the restaurant hungry (3 bites of wellington per guest) and so had to seek out further dinner.

Reading the mostly positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. Have to say, Im quite underwhelmed. The 5 course tasting menu with beef wellington was rather filling, filling to the point I could not finish the servings, shame, as I detest wasting food. By the time they served the main course I could hardly have another bite. Ive been to multiple tastings before and have never had this issue. Ideally, the portions should be adequate with bounty of flavours, sadly the portions were massive with average flavours. The appetizers were alright. I wasnt wowed by any of the 3 courses; the beef wellington was good if not great, the stuffing needed some refinement and the veggies on the side were just...cooked. The let down was the dessert, just a part of it Id say. The creme caramel was delicious but the strawberries were soaking in syrup that had a gamey texture. On hindsight, I feel I could have saved some dough and gone to other cheaper better tasting restaurants.

Fantastic food in the heart of Regina! The food is amazing! Full stop. Thats the big thing you need to know. That, and the prices, which arent cheap, but also arent outrageous,. especially considering the quality of the food. I had a lamb shoulder on special and it was perfect. Lamb is easy to screw up, but the chefs at Avenue nailed it for me. Next time Im trying their legendary beef wellington! Service was generally excellent, but it felt like our sever might be new, as she was a little too attentive. Still, Ill take that over a grumpy server I never see after my food is delivered. Dale McKay restaurants have a certain vibe, which Avenue definitely shows. Nice understated, yet tasteful, decor that creates an intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy your culinary experience. If youre looking for fine dining in downtown Regina, Avenue should be top of your list!

The food was very good. The lady assigned to our table was great but the host seemed tired. The portion sizes were great. The puff pastry on the Wellington wasnt as flaky as I had hoped, but the steak was cooked perfectly.

Avenue tends to be a solid experience. The menu is small and specialized, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The cocktails tend to be well made. The decor is nice, and the space is well used. Its certainly pricey, but it can be worth it if this is the type of establishment you enjoy.

Had mozzarella caramelle dish. Very tasty and balanced. It was perfect!

The food and drinks were perfect!

Avenue is our go-to place for celebrations, because every meal there feels special. The cocktails are consistently delicious, as are the appetizers/small plates. We order the pork belly press every time, and I think about it between visits. I also think about the mermaid wallpaper a lot, because its just so beautiful.

There food and drinks were really good and specially the duck I liked it.

The agnolotti was everything you d want in pasta. Perfectly house made Al dente agnolotti. Creamy ricotta with a hint of basil. Paradoxically rich and light cream sauce (how do they do that??). Peas and shaved Parmesan round out this amazing pasta dish. Shrimp perfectly seasoned Just a perfect plate of pasta. And don t get me started on the cocktails. If you aren t going here to try their original and delicious cocktails, you need to start now. Go. Now.

We had a great time here. Friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, and fantastic food. We had a few appetizers, and I tried the beef Wellington. Stayed for some extra drinks as well.

Unique cocktails, tasty shareable plates and they always seem to have a solid locally brewed stout on tap!

My wife and I had supper here and ordered the Beef Wellington and Beef Tartare. We had some issues with the waitress at the start. But the food made up for it and the manager gave us a Creme Brûlée dessert as a token for the issues we had. The other waiters/waitresses all appeared to be on top of servicing their tables. We had never tried all three dishes they served us, but the Beef Wellington was very tasty and the crust was flaky and buttery. As this was our first Beef Tartare we did not expect we would enjoy the dish, but the dish was one of the best foods I have ever tried. The seasoning was amazing and the bread was grilled to be slightly burnt to blend perfectly with the meat and seasoning. This is a must try dish*. The Creme Brûlée was also delicious and we could have not asked for a better dessert to top it all off with. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend you visit if you find yourself in Regina.

Cocktails were amazing, the beef Wellington was to die for and the service was absolutely amazing!! Staff even accommodated my allergies and made cocktails that originally had vodka in it. Overall 10/10 experience highly recommend this place for a cute date night or even just a night out by yourself

Lovely heritage building and interior decor. Service was very friendly. The beef wellington was worth every penny. Most of the appetizers were great, especially the brie. Id skip the shrimp next time as they are just deep fried shrimp. The wine was good, however we ordered a 2014 bottle and they brought a 2015. Small improvements could be made but overall I would certainly visit again.

I was in Regina for work and wanted to treat myself to a nice dinner. Saw the reviews of Avenue and went there for dinner. First time trying beef wellington, and overall the meal was good. Super tender, and the wrapped pastry was delicious; however the beef was not quite beefy. I had several cocktails recommended by the bartender, and they were delicious. Excellent service from the bar, friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere. Price was expected, two cocktails, side salad, and main entree was 100 before tips.

Was there for a private function. Food was AMAZING! All of it! Staff were super friendly and attentive. Cocktails were delicious and it was enjoyable to watch the guys making them! So quick and skilled. Would definitely return.

Avenue is a go to restaurant in Regina, from date nights to business lunches. Always good, service is great, and so are the cocktails!

Serving sizes are a bit too small.

Had beef wellington, medium rare, and it was perfect. Then I had a drink that I asked the bartender to make with absinthe, and honestly, it tasted like a dream, with a cherry on the bottom. Perfection!

I was excited to eat here because it looked very beautiful inside but realized they serve foie gras (tortured duck) and was super disappointed. In 2021 theres no need to serve antiquated dishes with that lack of ethics. Choose otherwise.

Amazing food great service!

We sat at the bar, and WOW. We asked the bartenders to make their favorite drinks and took their recommendations. It did not disappoint. My sisters and I (party of 3) ordered 5 cocktails each, beef tartare (x3) and the Brie to share. We have never (even in Montreal) ordered seconds, if not THIRDS, or as many cocktails in one sitting. This is THE place to be in Regina. 10/10 would recommend and come back. Thank you to the entire staff at Avenue, for making our night

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Avenue last night, and it was wonderful! The atmosphere, food, wine selection and service were all top notch. Would definitely recommend!

Visiting Regina from Edmonton and were invited out to dinner by old friends. We have a 2 year old toddler and we were a little worried that maybe this wasnt the best place to take her. All I can say is the staff was incredible and made our experience one of the best weve had at any restaurant. Our server asked the food preferences for our daughter and created a custom dish just for her! The cocktails are well thought out and the sharables very delicious. Highly recommend for any occasion. Thanks to the staff for going the extra mile to make this such a great experience!

Great food, great service. What more could you ask for?

We came here for dinner and were immediately and enthusiastically greeted by one of the nicest hosts we have every come across. She brought us to our table and made very good drink and food recommendations. We both ordered some cocktails and the beef wellington. The no news is good news was a superb cocktail with mezcal smoke and lemon acidity. The beef wellington was a great comfort dish with very tender and juicy tenderloin and a buttery crust. The asparagus it was served with was also perfect with a nice sauce. The service could not improove as everyone that took care of us were amazing. As for the atmosphere, is was very loud and echoy, some sound tiles would deffinately help, also the pricing was a tad on the high end. Overall apleasant dinner and drinks and we would return if in town.

Nice place, good service, for supper had 2 beef wellingtons one with risotto one with smoked mushrooms, both side dishes had wayyy to much salt for our liking. The Wellington was very good but the portion sizing was small for what your paying, our bill for 2 drinks 2 wellington and side dishes came out to 170$ pre tip, If i didnt walk out hungry and with high blood pressure i would give it more stars

Went out for a birthday celebration.... Isiac our server was great but the food was not . There was 4 in our party 3 of us had steak they were very tough and mine was under cooked . I could get a better steak for half the price pretty well anywhere else.

Disappointed would be an understatement. I had been wanting to go to Avenue for a while now and was excited to try the food there. After booking the reservation we were informed that there would be an 18% gratuity added to our bills. I am fine with tipping, and Im fine with an 18% tip if the service is actually worth it. In this case, it was not. Numerous times our table wondered where our server was as she had not been around in a long time. Our server also IDd our table and said I could go ask at the front door but Im just too lazy. I dont mind having to show proof of vaccination at the door as well as my ID to get drinks, I just dont want to hear that come out of my servers mouth. With a forced 18% tip, I dont expect the royal treatment but I do expect at least average service. The drinks and the starter were very good. If I would have had to guess, I would have assumed our meals would be just as good. I would be wrong. The food was very bland and not to my expectations of what a nice restaurant would serve. Out of our party of six, one person who ordered the steak liked their meal. With a limited menu, I would think that they would have perfected each dish and it wouldnt matter what you ordered, your meal would be good. In fact, it would be more difficult to find an entrée that was properly made on their menu.

The food was just phenomenal! The drinks spectacular! The service was so friendly and amazing. The atmosphere was so fresh and unique. The layout, the decor...I even loved all the plants! What a wonderful experience!

Great effort is put into atmosphere, food and drinks. This place has some of the tastiest dishes in town. Attention to detail is high and menu is fun. It is a bit pricey but any food of this calibre is. Worth every penny.

I was here with a party of about 17. We really enjoyed our meal at Avenue Restaurant. At my area of the table we had 3 appetizers which were very yummy: lime chicken wings, sausage platter, and brie dip. My meal was also very good, I had the tagliatelle pasta entree. The service was good, not exceptional, but good. The prices were very reasonable for this type of establishment. I would definitely eat here again.

By far the best restaurant in Regina. Extremely unique in a sea of chain restaurants that is the city of regina. Menu is ever changing and always delicious, as well as highlighting seasonal Saskatchewan ingredients. Servers are always on their A game and you never have to wait around while your table is getting prepared (if you have a reservation obviously). I have had the porchetta several times but keep coming back to the Burger. Odd for a high end resturaunt but its perfect. We always look forward to coming to Avenue.

Went here to celebrate my birthday. Food was amazing, bf and I both agreed it was some of the best we ever had. Definitely pricy, but 110% worth it. Server was amazingly friendly and super knowledgeable.

The duck was delicious! Great atmosphere. The waitress seemed a little inexperienced and needed assistance from several staff members even though it wasnt busy.

We came yesterday, the chicken wings are perfect; however, the fries are really disappointed some were over cooked, which haven t happened in the past. The stick was little bit undercooked, we ordered more than mid-well and less than well done, but it just around mid-well. Moreover, after I finish the stick, I felt uncomfortable while I back home. Hope next time will not be this disappointed.

Spectacular food! always worth the stop, if you can get in the door. Enjoyed the atmosphere, service was great. Full transparency, a friend of mine is a chef here, but, their food speaks for itself. I had the walleye, as I said spectacular. The shrimp appy was good too, beer battered, nice and crisp, fluffy on the inside. Dessert wise, I really enjoyed the creme caramel.

I make a point of going to all of the Grassroots restaurants and this one is just as good as the ones in Saskatoon. The Thai wings are amazing!!

Although our first visit was a little rocky, the manager contacted us and invited us back. The food and service was awesome, and I really appreciate the restaurant reaching out to us. Traveling all over North America, regularly dining in finer restaurants, and occasionally in Michelin-star recipient venues, I was excited to see Regina finally having a nicer restaurant open. Ive been to Avenue four times, and the atmosphere, service, and cocktails are all great. The tempura asparagus is one of the best appetizers Ive had anywhere, and I can honestly say that the Creme de Caramel is THE best dessert that Ive ever tasted, with a brilliant blend of saltiness, sweet, rich cream, and smoky nuttiness. Avenues cocktails are also very well-crafted, with a few being magnificent. However, the last two times I dined here, my ribeye was significantly under-cooked. I absolutely know how steaks are to be prepared from the standard choices, and mine were close to blue rare from the standard of medium rare. The first time I ordered the ribeye, I sent it back, it returned well done, and just finished my meal and left. The second time, I didnt bother mentioning it and just ate it blue rare. Obviously, this is completely unacceptable for a finer restaurant, but even more egregious than this was the fact that, on my second tripe, the steak was ridiculously over-seasoned. Im a guy who likes things on the salty side, but my last steak probably was - no exaggeration here - waaay saltier than McDonalds fries. I could, quite literally, only taste salt. Its just crazy that this type of absolute-amateur mistake could happen in a meal that cost me $500 (four people with a few drinks). As much as I love some aspects of Avenue, I cant justify spending several hundred dollars on dinners that I walk away from being completely disappointed. Ill have to go back to my nicer meals being on my trips to the larger Canadian and US cities.

I was underwhelmed by the food, but the service and decor were amazing. I had the cauliflower kale salad and the pork belly bites. Both had flavour profiles that were a bit off and left you wanting. I would go again though, to try something new. My friend loved his walleye dish.

Good food and ambiance! Needs better selection of premium liquors

Salty Dry! I had high expectations for Avenue, but I was disappointed when my sausage arrive extremely salty. I let the waitress know, but all she did was smile and grab my plate and walk away. On top of that it was expensive. I hope they remove the sausage from the menu, or maybe rename it to Salty sausage.
