Dragonboat Restaurant in Regina

Ordered Skip. Shui Mai, Sesame Balls, Pan Fried Dumplings and Turnip Cake. Shui Mai was average along with the Pan Fried Dumplings. Turnip Cake was poorly made. Mushy and way over cooked. It was like it was deep fried instead of pan fried like it should be. The Sesame Balls were extremely disappointing. These should have had a glutinous chew to them, however there was none and were almost a cornstarch or even a starchy outside powdery taste (hard to describe). It was like the glutinous rice flour was not completely cooked through as the dough was too thick. Sadly disappointed in the quality. Dim Sum is a favorite for myself and brings many childhood memories of our family getting together for dim sum.

Stopped here today for a Birthday lunch it was absolutely delicious . Very fast friendly service and very fresh hot delicious food . I highly recommend this restaurant if you havent tried it you need to.

Incredibly accommodating! We had the ginger beef, chicken fried rice and pan fried dumplings. The food is top tier and came out quickly. The service is attentive and genuine, I embarrassingly spilled half of my drink they quickly came to help and even brought me a whole new one. 10/10 service - 10/10 food

Delicious food, extremely good and staff here are very attentive. The owner was extremely friendly, nice and even gave us a drinks. The lantern decoration makes me feel like Im really eating in Hoi An. We had a wonderful lunch, highly recommend.

All the dim sum is purchased pre-made/frozen then re-steamed or deep fried. They can t even steam pre-made food properly. Har gau skin was falling apart, you can t even pick up the dumpling in one piece. They add filler ingredients that are not authentic to cut portions/costs. I have never in my life had dim sum beef stomach or chicken feet served with white onions? Most of the dimsum is the same stuff you buy in the bulk bags at Great Asian Market (sesame balls are a dead giveaway) No dimsum restaurants realistically makes all their dishes from scratch anymore and will source some items from elsewhere yes (ie steam buns) but ALMOST EVERYTHING on this dimsum menu was obviously pre-made. Only congee and eggplant are house made. Exactly the ones from GAM but they can t even prepare it properly! Owners do not understand dim sum and the result is borderline offensive.

Everytime I pass by or have work at Regina, this is my go to restaurant, I make it it so I never stop by Regina and not, not go here! They cook everything just right, the vegetables are just properly cooked! Cant go wrong with anything in the menu. Its a very deceiving place, looks so plain outside, but inside the place looks nice and neat, clean and amazing! Fyi the sell the lanterns that are hung up the ceiling!

As a Shanghainese, I can responsibly tell you that the food is very much in line with my taste, almost comparable to domestic typhoon shelters. I am so happy to have a shop like this in the village. Recommended vegetable spring rolls, fried dough sticks, sesame balls, and chicken feet. Although it is a Vietnamese restaurant, the dim sum is made in Cantonese style. The decoration is clean and bright. The decorations of lanterns and flower umbrellas are very delicate. The boss must have spent a lot of money to keep these decorations clean and beautiful.

Overall experience is superb! The owner himself, Harry, was there to greet us warmly and serve us. The dim-sum and beef pho are good. I enjoyed my Congee. The restaurant inside is clean especially the washroom. We will be back again!

This is one of the best restaurants in town here in Regina. They have got an excellent customer service, delicious meals and a very clean place. My family is really enjoying eating here, and I say they are 10/10 top-notch any day any time. Thanks for the wonderful service

Fantastic food! Reasonably priced! Great service! I come here every 4th Sunday for Dim Sum and it never disappoints. the Congee is top notch, the salty donut is crunchy and delicious, the spicy stuffed peppers and the almond shrimp balls are all faves! the staff is so welcoming and kind and the Malaysian coffee is to die for! Soooo good! Highly recommend!

Nice place , cool decor and service staff were good! For dim sum, not much to rate , had a few standards and they were obviously reheated. Flavors were good but textures were way off. Left a little but hungry still, but don t want to spend 8 bucks on reheated stuff.

Restaurant is nice and clean. Staff was pleasant. Went there to get some take out. Found the prices on the expensive side and the portions small, food was decent, wanted more of it though . Normally 80 bucks worth of food will give 3 of us leftovers. We had no leftovers and were still left hungry. Had to order a pizza after we had finished off what I ordered and I thought I had ordered more than enough for 3 people. Won t be going back as I can get more bang for my buck else where.

The Best in Regina This has become our go-to restaurant in Regina. Food is always excellent - weve dined here several times, and not once have we had anything that wasnt to our liking. More importantly, the team goes above and beyond to make sure our dining experience is nothing short of amazing. I sincerely cannot think of anything negative to say about them. Today, we booked out the restaurant for our sons first birthday celebration and while this is out of the norm, they happily obliged to all our requests. Our guests clearly loved the food. Henry and his team (family) were always on hand, and were always smiling even though we clearly made them very busy. If there is one restaurant that we can confidently recommend when you are in Regina, its definitely Dragonboat. Kudos to the team!

Did you change the cook, AGAIN? Im pretty sure the dimsums are frozen food as I saw the employees carry big bags of different dimsums into the rear door. If you advertise your dimsums are handmade and fresh, please be honest! In Regina we dont pay to liar!

The food here is great. Service quality and staff are very good.

Dead fly, terrible food, horrilble services. There are dead fly all over our dinning table. The dishes is overcooked with unchanged cooking oil. We spend 170 dollars for the entire thing and we are not even full. More importantly, we are CHARGED for 10% tip for total bill, not we tips purposely, we are charged for tips. Like how? Bad service and food that can not be eatten. If i can rate a zero star i would do that for sure.

I had a wonderful experience at Dragon Boat Dimsum House . The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and fresh. I especially enjoyed the bbq pork bun and the Singapore vermicelli. The bbq pork bun was soft and fluffy, with a generous filling of tender and juicy pork. The Singapore vermicelli was authenticity flavourful and spicy, with a variety of ingredients such as shrimp vegetables. Both dishes were satisfying and well-portioned. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves dim sum and Asian cuisine. Dragon Boat Dimsum House is a gem in Regina!

Dragon Boat Dimsum House is one of my favorite places to eat in Regina. The staff are always courteous and helpful, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food is amazing, with a wide selection of dim sum and other dishes to choose from. Everything is fresh, hot, and tasty. I love their steamed shrimp dumplings and Pho. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I always leave feeling full and happy. If you are looking for a great dim sum restaurant in Regina, you can t go wrong with Dragon Boat Dimsum House.

A great place to have Asian food, the food was amazing, everything was fresh and tasted great, very friendly staff, must try and personally will go there again.

On the 19 th of January 2024 was our fifth year anniversary with my husband and we went for the first time to this restaurant. It was lovely and now it s my new favourite place and top of my list restaurant to go to. The atmosphere was amazing quiet and romantic so beautifully and elegantly decorated, the food was so tasty amazing portions and very well cooked and flavoured. I really like the lanterns and the had painted Vietnamese hats on the wall. The lady that served was so polite and very friendly she even gave me a pen as a little gift that night so I can use at work . I work at the clinic right across the street and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while . I m glad I did as it was a perfect choice for our special night . I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Asian food it s amazing.Their prices were reasonable and we would definitely be going there many many more times . Great thanks to them all as they made our special night just perfect .

Amazing food, atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Would recommend their dim sum! Their Vietnamese coffee was excellent and their Asian lanterns on the ceiling and decor is very lovely and colourful. Youll know why I mention it when you see it. Every dish we had was amazing and easily something we would order again. I suggest taking a look at their website as the menu and photos on there are great for those who may not know what to expect if you are new to dim sum (think smaller ala carte appetizers). Its surprisingly filling. It was my first time here, but my wifes second. I will definitely be returning. Establishment was very clean. Staff was very friendly but English is an additional language but not a barrier (They leave a receipt pad and you write the number from the menu for what youd like). They will help you entirely and you wont regret it. My only regret is not taking any photos. Parking: This establishment shares a parking lot with a few other places in a small corner lot. Were talking about 15 spaces? Perhaps a bit more. Weve visited this location many times and parking has never been an issue. Wheelchair accessibility: I visited in winter, which makes this a bit more difficult to assess. However the parking lot and entrance seem low and smooth enough to allow a wheelchair good access. There is no obvious barriers to a wheelchair in any case.

My boyfriend and I love coming here - weve had great hot pot and noodle dishes, and are just starting to work our way through the dim sum menu, but so far everything weve tried has been delicious. The owners also had no issues subbing in tofu for me, which makes me want to come back twice as often! Thanks for having us. :)

Got takeout there just now. The vermicelli was great with charbroiled pork but the chili oil they make there. Absolutely incredible. Doesnt hold anything back with spice but has so much flavor. Definitely will be going back!

We got the fried dumplings and it was very tiny and over priced for how small they were. There was also these like tiny plastic things inside of the bbq pork rice rolls. The customer service was also not the best, giving this guy weird looks and weren t very like welcoming, they were just kinda judging everyone in a way.

Ordered take out and got these half empty containers, yup definitely not worth $50 (ALL $50 is in the picture). Dont know if the kitchen accidentally portioned it for a combo plate or they just gave me the kitchen scraps from other orders.

Came here for the Hot pot, we also ordered other sides like Dimsum and Wontons and fried octopus! Our 1st experience and was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted and looked perfect. The service was great, she was so nice and spoke with us about Vietnam and Thailand. Was stuffed after the meal. Will definitely come again!

My partner and I went here while we were visiting Regina for the weekend. The foood was absolutely amazing and the two people working were so kind. Definitely priced well, and if you like a little bit of heat make sure you buy a jar of their chili oil on the way out. Hands down the best Chili oil I have had in a long time.

This is a really great Vietnamese/ chinese restaurant! The serving staff are very friendly and greeted us immediately. I got the pho dac biet beef noodle soup. Very good flavor, good enough to drink more of the soup. Almond shrimp was crispy and had a wonderful roasted flavor. Rice rolls packed a punch too, on par with traditional dim sum places. Highly recommend, I always stop by when I go on work trips.

After a long day of driving back from holidays my bf and I were tired and did not want to cook. We stopped for supper and it was fantastic! We have always wanted to try and after tonight we will be back and we will be bringing friends. The food was amazing filling and so good we had take home containers with enough food for us both to eat again.

This place has been well repainted! We have small hot pot, it contained some seefood, vegs, rice noodles. Only thing that bothers us is the raw egg, we didnt know how to do a perfect bowling egg with hot pot. We also have some dimsum. It is a little bit expensive to have only two chicken feet for $6.75, and there are three of us. A little bit embarrassing feeling. AND we have the Special Yangzhou Fried Rice!!!! It is the BEST!! (at least in my mind) I would recommend to my friend. Eventhough we had fried rice somewhere else before, but we all agree that this place hold the best one. Please if you love fried rice, do not miss this one.

First time eating here and the restaurant was beautiful with Vietnamese Lanterns and wall decorations. Friendly staff. The food is super delicious and loved the hot pot and Custard Buns. Definitely be back !!!

We had dim sum of many varieties. They were all really good, as was the wonton soup. I like the atmosphere and the staff are warm and gracious. You should have a meal here!

This restaurant was a really nice discovery. The dim sun here is super fresh and home made. I go to Dim Sum restaurants in Vancouver quite a lot, and this was actually better. I recommend it highly.

Good and quite fast service. Quantity could be a little better , liked the rice and veggies. Beef was chewy to me.

Wanted to update my review as its been a year. This remains a great place to grab lunch. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. Its got lots of parking too which is nice for the edge of down town. I dont post food pictures, haha, but the presentation here makes me think about it.

Ordered two combos: a and c. Got the a right, but the c combo was replaced with other order (wings one). Still tasted good but not what I wanted. They were closed once we got home so didnt have a choice but eat what they gave us. Should pay more attention to customers orders UPDATE: the owner reached out to me the next day, and, admitting their mistake, offered a credit for our next order. The food is tasty so would be happy to order again, given such a great customer service

Ordered the Wonton Soup. It was dead in there, but they made it fresh to order, the portion was massive, the cuts of meat in the soup were huge and tons of fresh veggies. It was also very fast and service was grand! A great quick lunch spot!

A hidden gem in Regina! Not only great traditional food but also a huge selection of Vietnamese natural stone bracelets! ( maybe not important to some people but I m a gemstone enthusiastic ). The owner brings their culture to every decoration in the restaurant, I m adored by everything here. Their restroom is hygienic!

I had a great time at Dragon Boat Dimsum House. The food was delicious and authentic, with a variety of dim sum and other dishes to choose from. The food was fresh, crispy, and sweet. The parking lot was convenient and spacious, and I had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the service was super fast. I would definitely come back to Dragon Boat Dimsum House for more dim sum.

Food was decent ... customer service was bad asked for water 2 times never did get it . Kept on saying there gonna bring it. Had a few things missing from our order. We ask n they kept saying it was coming .. after a 45 mins we said peace out. Paid n left.

Weve long been searching for an Asian restaurant that serves dimsum, and were glad weve found it here. Food is good, staff is very warm, and ambiance is very nice. Definitely recommended. Ill bring my family here next time.
