Ordered from here for the first time after seeing the Regina subreddit giving it some good praise. After having not ordered Chinese in a few years, I have to say it was pretty tasteless from what I recall Chinese food being in this city. Ordered through SkipTheDishes, and it arrived fairly fast and was still quite hot (steam coming out of every container when opened), but aside from that, it was just okay. I didnt specify no MSG, but adding some is what made it resembled the Chinese food I remembered and was craving. Would order from again, but will be asking for extra MSG!

The food was tasty however, I got the combo for 1. It did not have enough food worth what I paid. I used to order from here and portion sizes have been cut quite a bit!

Food is always top notch! The Singapore noodles are my my go to! I always ask for spicier than normal and they nail it! The charbroiled beef just melts in your mouth and is loaded with flavor! Anytime asian food is suggested for supper this is what we end up ordering!

Each and every time I come to this restaurant, I am so satisfied! It s a family run business of hard-working people who make great food! We had some family in town last night and we ordered a meal for 7! It was hot, ready for us, and our family loved it! Thanks so much, Mai Phuong!!!!!!

Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the food and they are very friendly

I ordered the Appetizer Combo Platter. The BBQ chicken was fantastic, the Beef was perfect, the mixed veggies were fresh and tasty. The pork wasnt quite as good as normal, but still tasty. I just wish that they delivered to my area! Open up something in the Northwest, please.

Highly recommend their BBQ Duck with Egg Noodles (add on the side hoisin sauce + peanut chilli oil), so tasty!

Went for pho soup today, and found a staple inside my soup. They were apologitic, however, if I were a kid who would have swallowed it. It would be very dangerous.

Ordered from here on chow local for the first time and it was quite disappointing. Ordered a combination dinner, spring rolls deep fried squid, and rice vermicelli. Everything was over cooked, the ginger beef was not very good, the only good thing was the spring rolls, even though they were over cooked, and the delivery. Probably wont be ordering from here again.

One of my favorite Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants in Regina. They are still trying to maintain the quality of the food and service even after the pandemic, which is a wonderful thing!

When I order out when craving Chinese this is my go to spot. Tons of variety, everything tastes great, great portion sizes. A dinner for two has the ability to feed 3 people plus have some leftovers. Food is always fresh and taste is pretty consistent. Being able to get such a good meal at a low price is hard to come by but Mai Phuong has that perfected!

Mai Phuong s is the go to for Vietnamese food. The food is delicious, service always quick and the staff are great.

I love the hot and sour soup and all the food they serve there. They are really nice people. They took out the old booths and replaced them with nice tables and comfortable chairs, and the place looks good and is clean too. My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Regina. Eat there today!

Very delicious food. My husband likes Chinese and I like Vietnamese. Its always a struggle finding a place with both sides. Definitely going to be ordering from here again when we come threw town.

Excellent service!!! I ordered veggie broth from here when I was in Regina recovering from surgery and the staff were so accommodating. Had it delivered and they included a bowl, spoon and soy sauce. They also gave me extra broth since I didnt have any of the noodles or vegetables. It looks like they have an extensive menu too so once Im back in Regina and can eat food again, I will definitely be back!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Legendary spot! Never had a mediocre meal in well over 15 years of eating there! Great lunch and supper menu!! Excellent service!! ONE OF THE BEST! Parking: Impark lot (paid) but on street is best if you can find a spot Kid-friendliness: Booth seating and high-chairs for children.

Fabulous food, good friendly service. Food was hot and delicious. I ordered #17 Vermincelli with rolled beef and spring rolls. Excellent meal, filling and fresh. Restaurant was clean and owner was friendly and gave good service. We have better chow mein in Winnipeg, but hard to compare to our restaurants. My friends liked their Vietnamese food too. Vegetarian options: They had vegetables, tofu, noodles, rice, soups etc. So they can accommodate vegetarian diets. Dietary restrictions: They were accommodating for avoiding serving us foods we were allergic to. They had Dairy free, gluten free and meat free options.

Food was always consistent. Been coming here for over 2 decades. Reasonably price and delicious food.

First and last time ordering from here. Everything had zero flavour from the ginger beef, wor wonton soup and the Shanghai noodles. Plus it tasted more like yesterday s freezer leftovers and bearly any food in the containers.

Great food and not greasy

Usually order through China Liangs unfortunately theyre closed on Mondays. We ordered the Chicken chow mein and lemon chicken. Food was not good, small portions, not much chicken, noodles were still crunchy. Overall a disappointing experience.

Wonderful little spot. The lemon grass chicken vermicelli noodles were delicious, flavours were amazing, the fish sauce was so good. The beef noodle pho was perfect for what I was craving, not too salty, nice and hot, big portions, and great value. Prices are very reasonable, our hostess and server was friendly, attentive, and the food came out quickly. 100% would return when passing through Regina again. So happy we stopped here on our road trip.

Lets see..where to start...first of all, Im almost 100% sure these people shave the meat off of the spareribs..nothing but bone. The chicken fried rice was like gumbo..gonna say it was from the afternoon buffet. The eggrolls..greasy as they come. I guess the shrimp were not bad..freshest tasting out of a dinner for 3. Dont order from places that serve buffets. Im writing this on behalf of my mom..she didnt know until she tried it.

We wanted to try this place for a while,the service was good, we got home the containers were half full and frankly poor. After trying a good portion of Asian restaurants in Regina. Not sure if we caught them on a bad day, but very disappointing .

Burned my spring rolls to a shade of black Im not prepared to eat. I used to eat there and loved it. I wont be going back.

In my view I say Mai Phuong restaurant has the best oriental food in Regina. The service is great and the only thing I didnt notice if there was a handicap service there. But for I love the food. Too bad they no longer have buffets..Covid rules.

I have been coming here for 27 years. The food is consistently amazing as well as these beautiful people who own it and work there! I love it! Best restaurant in Regina. I love the Chicken Hai Nam! I always order it.

My favourite place to have wanton soup!!!

This restaurant is hands down the best of its kind in Regina! The chicken balls arent over-battered so you get a nice bite of chicken without grease! All of it was so good. After my first order about a month ago...Ive ordered twice more!! Hits all the right spots in terms of a self-indulgent meal, when youre disregarding calorie counts ;). It also doesnt take very long to get my food. I recommend trying this place!

After 20 years of ordering takeout they just get better. My favorites are the Vietnamese Dinners for 4,6,8 etc.. and the Singapore Noodles (#39 on the menu). Best spring rolls and bbq pork hai nam. The Dinner for 4 will easily feed 6.Dinner for 8 would feed 10. Always lots of leftovers in the fridge.

Im very sad. I ordered through Skip yesterday. I used to order from here a lot when I worked at the General Hospital coz its close, and it was always very good. However, yesterdays order was a disaster. The food STANK of stale oil and had absolutely no flavor other than that stale oil. The wonton soup was at least semi-edible (I choked down half coz I was hungry), but the vermicelli and fried rice were inedible. I managed about three forkfuls of the rice - hoping for improvement - but only one scoop of the vermicelli before it hit the bin. Very disappointed. I spent 40 dollars for half a serving of lousy wonton. There will not be another order.

Over 25 years, we always had good food every time we ordered delivery, pickup, or dined in. The boss lady is very friendly as well as her staff. Great comfy atmosphere and quick service with hot and tasty fresh food. Awesome quality as well as good portions. We were never left hungry when we use them for our meal times. Love the spring rolls!

Our family has been customers here for 20+ years. This place has been owned by the same people. The food is always fresh and full of flavour. The special hot sauce is homemade and unbeatable. We now travel in from out of town to enjoy. We will not order Chinese food from any other place. We are experienced cooks ourselves and find it hard to eat just anywhere. If you enjoy flavour and not your typical old fashioned Chinese buffet place - do eat here.

It was quite good. I m familiar with a better pho restaurant in Edmonton so if you re used to highly authentic pho don t expect that here. This place only has one type of pho, so that s how you know it s not like a pho restaurant. The spring rolls were delicious, the service was quite good. The wine, inedible, the pho, decent. Overall I was happy with the meal and would say you would be too. Good prices, standard.

They have some pretty good vegetarian/vegan options! The curry veggies and the lemongrass tofu are usually good. Prices are reasonable too.

Was great, I had a combo D (veggie and tofu) and She had combo B (chicken BBQ). They are awesome we caught them last second (literally minutes before they closed) and they still accommodated.

Oh my God OUTSTANDING! The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the speed was like nothing Ive seen before. I just got home and Im already looking forward to my next visit.

That one start doesnt even count...!! We ordered few things from this place yesterday and since then dont ask how many times I have be to washroom. This food appeared to be old and expired ingredients, I can tell because its just not me, my wife is going through the same. This place is hilarious, I am pretty sure if health inspector do a surprise inspection he should found that this place has zero to none knowledge about food safety. We got our refund anyway but is it worth feeling uncomfortable for couple days or even worse.

Ordered nearly 100 dollars worth of takeout from every section of the menu. 60% of every dish was stir fried vegetables. If I wanted stir fried vegetables, I would have ordered it. I got about 30 dollars worth of food for my 100 bucks. Will not be ordering from here again.

Usually order from lee s North but closed today saw some reviews for this place never will I listen to reviews again....... Absolutely awful, ordered ginger beef (spicy) doesn t taste like any thing. No flavor at all no sauce. Veg undercooked, just chewy beef. Deep fried shrimp and chicken balls just tasted like grease. Ginger chicken surprise surprise tastes like nothing......... never seen so fat of a Vietnamese spring roll but I guess needs to be to suck up all the grease. Very disappointed very expensive. Costs $25 more for the same order from lee s North.

This is the best buffet downtown. The food is prepared fresh as it runs out. The service is friendly and professional all the time. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Huge fan here. I will be back with family and friends...

I went for the pho because everyone is raving about how awesome it is. Heres the scoop. The pho lacks substantially in flavour and the meat was below average quality. Large portions and nice staff. The pho here is definitely not better than pho in Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. But for whats its worth, probably the best in Regina. Hope this helps.
