We have stopped twice after Rider games. The food is so tasty, fast service, and really kind staff!

First time here Ive eating phò here,it is amazing the taste quality and price...you cant beat it no where else( Ive eaten it many places for the last 30 years this might be my favorite hidden gem)

Ive probably eaten at every Vietnamese restaurant in Regina (and there are a lot). This was one of the best Viet meals Ive had in Regina. Very inexpensive, very generous portions. The food was super fresh (no slimy sprouts here). Im ashamed Ive slept on this place for so long. You gotta eat here.

Power went out at home so we went out for supper to Uncle Sunny Restaurant and it was fantastic!!!! We had a combo for 4 which was 4 subs, 4 fresh rolls and 4 spring rolls-the food was fresh and service was awesome! Support your local business when you can!!!!

Such friendly and attentive service as soon as we walked in. The iced coffee was a nice treat and the homemade bao buns were outstanding! Seriously from Victoria to Halifax the best bao bun Ive ever had is the spicy tofu bao from Uncle Sunny!

Came in around 5-530 on a weekday, wasnt busy. Still had to go up to the counter to order after I sat there for 5 minutes.. No asian styles inside, still looks like whatever was there before. Anyway, ended up getting the BBH and beef hotplate. Let me just start by staying the buns are amazing. Airy, crispy, flavorful. 5/5. Soup came first, very hot, filled with meat with good flavors, 4.25/5. Beef hotplate was a nice large portion, lots of meat, good flavor (to salty for me). Would have liked a fresh flavor to it.. Herbs or something. 3.5/5.

Lovely family owned restaurant. They make delicious food, comparable to Vietnamese restaurants I have frequented in big cities like Vancouver and Toronto. Service is fast, you are not waiting a long time to get your food order. Their submarine sandwiches (banh mi) are flavourful and full of deliciousness with some unique meat combinations. The Vietnamese iced coffee is the perfect beverage to cool down on a hot summer day! The menu is extensive and the owners take pride in the food they serve their customers. I look forward to returning again to enjoy their food the next time I am in town. Pay Uncle Sunny a visit, you won t be disappointed!

Love the Bao, Banh Mi, and sometimes I ll get the sizzling meat plate (either to celebrate something, or when I m horribly depressed - it s a really wild dish that makes me feel alive!). Very nice staff, amazing food, and safe atmosphere. The staff are always smiling and laughing and the food is next level. They bake their own bread every day, and have little trademark things they do to their dishes that make them even more delicious. I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago and since have been back 7 times. Definitely one of Reginas newest best kept dining secrets. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options!

I was in Regina for about a week with family but once we found this place we dropped by three times. The two items that kept us coming back was the classic banh mi sandwich and the iced coffee. That coffee is comparable to the best Vietnamese coffee anywhere. Very friendly service too!

I ordered a few things tonight; Bao Bun, Wonton soup, chicken fresh rolls. I havent had food like this in so long, everything was jam packed with flavour, the Bao Bun was so evenly sweet and spicy. The bun was a delicate sweet and soft fluffy cloud. I never knew I needed cabbage in my wonton soup but by God, this is totally game changing. The FRESH ROLLS? Id die for these fresh rolls. Please, if you value your happiness and want a spiritual awakening, dine in or order from Uncle Sunny. Im so comforted, if I died tonight I would be happy and full.

Last two times I was there it took 35 and 45 minutes to make two subs. 1 other person in the place. Bun was hard and over done.

Not a good supper experience. The service was aweful, it was keep your coat on cold inside and completely silent, the kitchen seemed understaffed and overworked and it showed in the food. Ive only heard great things about this place so I was surprised. Just a takeout place. In my opinion there are other options, even nearby with better overall flavours, environment and experience. A bad night perhaps, Ill try again later.

I stopped to pick up Pho and fresh rolls. One pho portion would have been enough for both my husband and I. The fresh rolls had veggies and beef brisket. The pho was so tasty and as close to authentic Vietnamese as could be. I highly recommend this restaurant.

By far one of the best restaurants in all of Saskatchewan. The best Vietnamese food I have ever had in Canada. All items are fresh, affordable, and delicious. The menu is diverse and extremely authentic. The staff are kind and warm, and the restaurant is very clean and tidy! Their food is always their food is always consistent, as Ive ordered there for pickup, delivery, and dining many times and it has always been of the greatest quality.

Delicious! The Bao Buns were filling, spring rolls were extra tasty, and the soup helped comfort the soul on a cold day. Plus such a friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return soon!

Best broth for wonton soup I have had. There were carrot strips, cucumber coins and cabbage in the broth, as well as a piece of broccoli and the wontons. The wontons have a different taste than other wontons and are good. Parking: The parking was fine for supper time.

Firstly I d like to complement the quality of food, it s awesome!! But . I had beef noodle pho for lunch one day, it was great. So on Friday evening I stopped and ordered the beef pho and a wonton with a side of rice to go. It took a long time to get and I took it home and my rice was missing. Soup was wonderful but I missed my rice. So Saturday we went for supper and dined in. My wife ordered wonton soup, pork bun and I decided to try their specialty beef hot pot. The tables are always dirty, I had to ask to have it wiped, my wife got her bun and then her soup, my meal never came, the place was busy with skip orders and only 3 other patrons in restaurant. Apparently the server took my meal to wrong table and I seen customer turn it away and I had a feeling it was mine. My wife finished her meal we waited but no meal, so I got up and went to pay, the lady couldn t understand me when I said I didn t get my meal, she found it on the counter where it had been sitting for 1/2 an hour. I paid for my wife s meal and left disappointed. I have no doubt if I got my meal it would have been great. But I ll never know I had raisin toast for supper last night. In closing I suggest uncle sunny better get the front end in order, it s very poorly organized.

Casual spot near Mosaic stadium for Vietnamese food. I got a unique dish Ive never seen before, egg and meats in Viet herbs/marinade. It was delicious and the baguette was perfect!

I tried for breakfast it was worse in my life, I asked for cheese and egg sandwich, they bring it separately, and black coffee come in plastic cup with straw , I didn t eat.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy Vietnamese restaurant and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The decor was tastefully done, with beautiful paintings and ornaments adorning the walls. The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes that were all bursting with flavor. I tried the Beef Hot Plate and it was easily one of the best Ive ever had. The two pieces of shumai and minced meat were delicious along with the egg it was a great combo. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the herbs and spices added the perfect touch of freshness. However, for the sauce part of the dish is a minus point for me. The taste of the sauce is a bit salty and there is no important highlight of the tomato but only the flavour of the salt, In addition, I think if the restaurant added a little tomato sauce and made it less salty, the taste would be balanced when eaten so many. Because when the sauce is already salty, then I eat it with the salty sausage, I cant eat it. The service was also excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout my entire meal. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and even made recommendations on what dishes to try. Overall, I would highly recommend this cozy Vietnamese restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic dining experience. The food, atmosphere, and service are all top-notch, and I cant wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu.

Lovely couple own the place. The pho was everything I was hoping for. A big bowl of beef and noodles on a freezing cold day. Very filling and delicious. The subs looked fantastic. That s what I ll try next. Because I will be back. Parking: Parking right in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter was fine, enjoyed her noodles and beef.

I heard about this place on Regina rant and rave. So I checked it out. waited 45 minutes for somebody to take my order. Extremely understaffed!!!! The food was good. So I went again 3 days later. The food was even better. The young guy that works there had put an extra couple scoops off something into the beef dip. 3rd time I went there it was a complete flop. I think the biggest problem with this restaurant is they are so understaffed. And I hate to see it very unorganized.

I really don t understand how this place has so many positive reviews. It is by far the worst Vietnamese I have had. I want it to be good, because i live nearby. I have given it 3 tries hoping that the next meal would be good. But each one has been so disappointing. Most recently tried a marinated pork bowl. It s literally just cooked spam. I m not super picky but it was really awful. And there was a hair in my meal.

I was recommended to try this restaurant out by my (now mechanic) Qui. My husband and I went there this past weekend and we each had a noodle bowl. So filling and the fresh rolls with shrimp were amazing. The BBQ chicken was so tasty. There was a lot of skip dishes and Uber coming in out which to me is a good sign that they are busy. I would highly recommend this restaurant for great food for the price which is extremely reasonable. We will definitely go back and try out the subs. Great job.

The guy who served us doesnt feel like he wants to work there. We had to ask for water, it took a long time before we got our order to think that we were the only one dining in at that time! The food was nothing special! We were never asked how our food was tasting. I had to shout at the kitchen area because no one was in the front. It was honestly a terrible experience from the beginning until the end. Never coming back to this place again!

Eating at Uncle Sunny reminded us of our trip to Vietnam in 2017. We ordered the hot plate (sliced beef, vietnamese sausage, and a fried egg in a tomato sauce along with with a bahn mi baguette). The bahn mi was the most authentic weve ever had in Canada. Im guessing that it was made from rice flour instead of wheat. We also had the fresh rolls, the bahn bao with pork belly, and taro bubble tea. All were delicious. Well definitely be back to try the other dishes. Prices are very reasonable. Great value!

Unbelievable beef sate sub, fantastic fresh rolls and a super solid beef noodle soup...more beef than noodle. Uncle Sonny s is my favourite place to eat in Regina. It s not pretentious and the food. is delicious. The Beef Pho nursed me through my surgery when I broke my heel and was my reward when I got back on my feet. If there were six stars , I d rate it a 7!!

A cozy shop, clean and open; the menu has a good variety of items, and each dish sampled on this visit were delicious. The wonton soup is flavourful and packed with veggies; the BBQ pork was sweet and tangy, perfectly cooked, served on a massive bed of rice; the lemongrass chicken banh mi sub was fresh and wonderfully seasoned, on a fresh, flaky sub bun. If youve never had banh mi, give this place a visit and try one of the many variations, it is well worth it! I will definitely be back to try more of the subs.

I live really close to this restaurant. Food can be awesome but sometimes very inconsistent. Sometimes the subs are amazing and other times theres no mayo, or other things that are described on the menu (like lack of jalapenos) . Ive been given bubble tea with the pearls and the day after I go out to grab bubble tea again, I dont get pearls. I would love to give this place 5 star rating but not knowing if Im getting whats described on the menu is a flip of the coin. Not sure if its lack of attention to detail, if some employees dont care or if some of them are not aware of what the descriptions show on menu. Employees are always friendly. Just wish the food was more consistent.

I came here for one thing and left full and happy. It never happens sometimes and the service is amazing. Theyre fast and they look like they enjoy making whatever dish is made. The daily lunch specials are so yummy. Its almost like they have a secret garden

Best Banh Mi in Regina. They serve good bao buns too but the subs are the real star of the menu. The fresh rolls and soups are average in my opinion, not bad but nothing outstanding. Oh and make sure you dine in, this food loses a lot of its quality when delivered for some reason. Slow service, great food.

Exceptional Pho, great service and a solid variety of breakfast options

Had the PHO, it was perfect. My lucky break, didnt take lunch to work one day and thought I would try Uncle Sunny. I will be back to try this and other items on the menu.

We had dinner at Uncle Sunny s. The food was delicious and very fresh . We had a terrific steam bun, very nice shrimp fresh rolls and pho. The restaurant is bright and cheery and the owners are very friendly and helpful. A taste of Ho Chi Minh City in Regina!

I ordered grilled pork vermicelli. My order had pork sausage sliced up, but I didnt mind it. Every other restaurant Ive ever eaten that Ive ordered vermicelli, it has always included two spring rolls, but I had to order them separately for this meal. The taste was decent, but the noodles reminded me of wet spaghetti, as opposed to the consistency of vermicelli noodles. Atmosphere was decent, staff were friendly. I wasnt blown away, but it was ok. Sure to the separate order of spring rolls, my order was $20 with normal tip and Ive never paid that much for a single vermicelli meal, so not great value for dollar.

I got the hotplate, amazing. Loved the flavour. Clean and friendly restaurant with great options for everyone. Would recommend!

Absolutely delicious! Great portions, fresh ingredients, and great, authentic taste. Really reasonable prices, especially the 7.99 dinner special- fantastic!! Clean, presentable atmosphere. We all came out full and happy. Would 100 % come again, and would recommend to others. On Sask Drive not far from the taxi/ gas place.

Thank you to Chi and her team who made 40 yummy Báhn Mì subs for our Waterpolo athletes from BC playing at a tournament this past weekend in Regina. Chi did not hesitate when we requested for customized subs (some didnt want cilantro, some didnt want carrots, nor jalapeños). Definitely will come back and try other menu items the next time we are back in Regina! Thank you again!

Vegetarian options: this place really good food and cheaper.

Got some beef satay and a tofu sub sandwich, food was really good. The bun was definitely the star of the sandwich it had the perfect mix of being crunchy but still soft which I really liked. Also a plus that they put fresh jalapeños on their subs. The soup broth was very flavourful, light and fresh tasting. Left off one star because well they have plants inside and there was a decent sized bug hanging around the window near our table while we ate.

This food is seriously next level; the flavour is so good. I havent had one bad dish from here. The bread for the subs is *chefs kiss*, you truly cant go wrong with eating here. One of my favorite places!

First off I would have to say this place has become my second home. There was a week that I ate here every day. The quality of ingredients and the passion they have for food is outstanding. It s a family owned and ran restaurant that produces authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I can t say enough about this place and I am writing this review at the restaurant. In conclusion please eat here. They are friendly and the bistro atmosphere is awesome and welcoming. Always smiling and just super nice.

This is such a great place! The bahn mi are all so tasty, and the bread is freshly baked each morning at their bakery Oi. Also try the pho, or the changing daily special is always a good choice.

Looking for a place to eat close to Lawson pool. Was very surprised to find this hidden jem. Great fresh food. The baggette that came with my meal was so fresh it was still warm and flaky.

Our family absolutely loves Uncle Sunnys! Their food is always fresh and delicious. We love their marinated pork rice & vermicelli dishes, soups, and their fresh pastries - particularly the garlic pull apart bun. Add one to your order to-go and you will not be disappointed! I opened skip the other day and saw this place which intrigued me cuz it was new. Honestly this place is gas I ordered a few different things off the menu and everything was great the bao and beef satay soup were heavy hitters. The uncle sunny sub was also amazing. The kimchi is pretty unique as well different from many I ve tried in the past with a hint of sweetness and although at first I was thrown off I m absolutely loving how it hits multiple notes of flavour profiles. Easily my new favourite spot.

With how cold it s been in Regina lately, last night I was in need of some serious comfort food to warm me up, and Uncle Sunny s was the perfect choice. Their Beef Pho was delicious! The meat was tender, there were lots of noodles and the broth was outstanding. I also ordered a few sides to go with it-their house made kimchi, pork belly and a vegetable spring roll and all three were all equally as good as the soup. The best part by far though is how affordable the restaurant is. All of that food, and I only spent roughly $20! Finding high quality food at a good price is so difficult these days, and I very much appreciate Uncle Sunny s efforts to provide our city with access to affordable and delicious food.
