WAY too expensive for what it is. Ginger beef, yellow curry, pad Thai and spring rolls costed $72. Unreal. I wouldnt mind paying more if the food was particularly delicious or different than standard Vietnamese quality for Regina. Meh.

Hotpot is great

Solid Thai place. The shredded tofu is a standout hidden addition to menu items like Vegetarian fresh rolls and Vermicelli with shredded vegetables, which I believe are both plant-based. They went through a rough couple of months where they delivered stuff that was poorly prepared, strangely flavoured, or in error, but I think that theyre over it and Ive gotten perfect orders for a while now. The items are not expensive, so we usually get enough food to feed us for days. Vegetarian options: Solid plant-based stuff here if youre not finicky about sharing frying oil.

The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent; we all left happy with our supper. Its always a good location to eat, regardless of which region youre in. Thats why we keep coming back to this restaurant since the cuisine they provide is really worth it.

Viet Thai is my favorite restaurant!!! My favorite dish is #29 spicy sliced beef noodle soup. If you like spicy food, go get a small bowl of chili oil from the center table. Parking: Park in the parking lot across the street on the south side of the restaurant.

Good Pho. The dining room has a very authentic vibe, combination of practical and eclectic design elements that sort of clash in a delightful way. Like the handwritten sign over the kitchen door informing you that it is in fact the kitchen and the pool noodles taped to the pole in the center of the room making you wonder how many people smashed into it before they just threw some padding on it. Some purple LED strip lighting and the music being streamed from YouTube adds a nice little touch. The message is clear that they know they are supposed to care what you think but they dont actually care what you think. I find it refreshing.

Best broiled chicken vermicelli bowls anywhere. All their food is delicious!! Been going here for many years and it s always amazing!

The singapore noodles are very good, but twice (on weekends) when weve ordered them, the noodles were cut up (resembled chicken noodle soup noodles) & they ended up being soggy (mushy). We prefer them the original size which we get when we order during the week (maybe this is a weekend thing). Are the takeout portions getting smaller????

Very good portion. Enjoyed the spring rolls and broiled pork vermicelli. Gets crowded at lunchtime so I prefer to get my food to-go.

Weve ordered from Viet Thai before and its usually been good, but this time something was off. The Vegetarian Tofu coconut green curry tasted bland, and overall, the food left us not feeling great. We hope this was just a one-time issue.

Have been getting take out from here often, this is the third time they didnt give me the sauces I ordered and paid for. Phoned and complained but nothing was done or offered to credit or rectify the situation. The food even had a wired taste to, Im deeply disappointed because the service and food is usually good. But I guess 3 times is enough time to pull my patronage.

Hooooolllllyyyyy! $94.00 for what!!! That is just bonkers. I received a Wor won ton soup, lemon grass chicken noodle bowl, pork spare ribs and spring rolls. The food is ok but the amount of food you get isn t very much for that price.

Very disappointed in the meal we received today. The last few times weve ordered from here and its been disappointing. Figured wed give it another shot because weve had really good meals from here in the past. This will likely be the last time ordering from here. After spending almost $100, we could barely eat anything. Everything but the spring rolls were over cooked. My dogs wont even eat it, the beef is so overcooked. Not a happy camper.

First time visiting and not overly impressed. We (two people) sat for about 10 mins before even getting water, and then after that for about 15 until our order was taken. The food was okay, though the order was wrong a few times. (Drink wasn t brought, and then brought the wrong one when reminded, yellow curry instead of red, etc etc) One part was fixed, just sent it back to the kitchen and got replaced with what was originally ordered. Wth the chaos that was going on we just ate what we were given and didn t send the rest back. Multiple people came in for pickup and were left waiting for 15-30 mins for their food. One man was waiting for almost the entire length of us being there just to pick up his food. A couple sat down maybe half an hour after us and WE had to mention something about them being served after about 15-20 mins of them sitting without even drinks. There was just one girl handling the phone, orders, drinks, and pickup, so no wonder it was crazy. When paying the bill, we didn t have the opportunity to look it over. It was put down briefly on the desk and then typed into the machine. With a total of almost $50, We were definitely charged for the alcoholic drink we ordered but never got because of the confusion. I feel as though they were maybe just having a bad day, however I won t be returning.

We stood for close to 10 minutes watching staff watch us stand there. Then when we were seated, it took 45 minutes before the first dish arrived. Food was just okay.

Was in town. Stopped by for lunch at 1:00pm. By 1:25pm still hadnt even been acknowledged that we are sitting a table waiting to order. Finally after 30 mins of being ignored , we finally decided to just leave and go somewhere else. Ill also add the restaurant was completely empty too . Absolutely pathetic customer service. To bad this place used to be great. The waitress seemed to be more interested in chatting and visiting, ignoring us, rather than serving paying customers sitting a table for over 30mins and not even having our order taken. Wont be back. Honestly lost for words.

The second time I have been to this place I picked up Singapore noodles I asked the girl you have Singapore noodles with vegetables and just Singapore noodles I want just Singapore noodles please with cashews this didnt seem like a problem I got my order paid for it when home on the bus got home realized when I opened it up there was shrimp and chicken and pork and vegetables and everything else in my noodle. I phoned the restaurant back, Im told them there was all of this stuff in my noodles that I did not order and they told me I was supposed to tell them of my restrictions. When the menu only says noodles I expected that is all Im going to get. I dont expect Im going to get a plethora of meat within them, including shrimp chicken pork. I am allergic to shellfish and almost croaked when I open the package to see shrimp just laying there right on top,along with vegetables so I dont know. I ended up calling them back and had to go back down there by bus and drop off the portion that they gave me in order to get a new portion and theyd never even offered to even give me a fortune cookie for my trouble, they told me that the mix-up was my fault, so you know what, I am never never never never never never ever going back there I will take my business elsewhere!!!!!!! And I only want to mention that when I did pick up my order of noodles when I got home I had to add my own flavourings to it just to make it tasty.

A shadow of its former self. Picked up lunch for 6 people, the contents were spilled in the bag and I was covered is various grease and sauce when I picked up the order. Items were missing from the order, food looked ok but was unappetizing. Vermicelli noodles tasted old, spring rolls were mushy and not prepared as well as I had come to expect from here. I wont be returning after this experience.

The food, service, and quiet atmosphere beats many other restaurants in the area. Was happy to find this place. One combo is enough for 3 meals for me.

Was an order of take out. I will say I was quite happy with the service given here. This is some of the best take out food of (this kind) Ive ever had. Price was far less than everywhere else in the city. Restaurant appeared to be clean when I walked inside to pay. Staff seemed knowledgeable of the type of food being sold. Food packaging was perfect for portion size! Except for the fortune cookies only given 2 fortune cookies for a dinner of 4 I bought :( all of that aside, Id recommend Viet-Thai over any other Thai food chain restaurants Ive been to. This place was awarded the best Chinese food year over year in the city for a reason. Keep up the great work highly recommended. The downside was that the inside could use a bit of renovations and / or better styling. It was clean for sure. However, looked slightly dated for the year were in now. As well parking is utterly horrible, in my opinion, some to the rear or the building for free, as well as out front for payment. Vegetarian options: Large majority read the menu. Parking: The location is a bit dicey. Parking paid upfront, as well as restricted for certain hours. Bus stop parking directly outside to the South. Sadly, it kills more parking for the drivers. Parking to the rear, but a majority of the parking is shared with other businesses, so certain hours can have the lot filled by other customers.

A more than decent lunch place with large portions of good food at a reasonable price

The place itself could use a new carpet, paint in general, especially in the ceiling, some new and more South East Asia decor! Its screaming upgrade all over. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. The prices are fair. Wheelchair accessibility: Its a one flat floor at street level.

The staff was wonderful, the food was SO DELISCIOUS. The price was great. The pick up order was packaged with care. There is nothing they could have done differently. This was a perfect meal.

Great food a little pricy and tough to find parking

The food we ordered for take out did not taste fresh. We actually threw most of it out. I would not order again. It also sat up front for ten minutes as I sat there unaware it was ours. Finally the worker, sitting there the entire time, was like oh thats yours.

The service was slow to start with but the food came quickly enough. It was delicious and portions generous.

Some things never change - and thats a good thing. I visited VietThai for my first time since moving away over a decade ago. Amazing value, friendly service, family friendly - fresh and delicious. Everything I remembered from my university days - only now I can share it with my wife and child.

Uncle Roger would say haiaa nooo. This chicken satay came with raw zuchinni, apple and soggy tomatoes. Tasted like they melted some cheap peanut butter with oil. So dissapointing!

Ordered take out November 4th 2023 Got home and discovered they forgot an item, called back and argued with someone for 10 min then they said you can pick up? Nope you guys forgot an item so you deliver! I was hesitant to eat it when it arrived but considering our meal cost $75 for 5 items I thought it s fine? Next day my wife and I got food poisoning all day and into the next day! Not saying it was from the food but kind of ironic. Never eating there ever again and the fact they had the nerve to tell us to come back and pick it up and to argue that they didn t forget an item is completely unprofessional. Disgusting!!!! Don t even do serve 1 star!!!

Best Viet-Thai restaurant.

Please make Fish sauce available for purchase on the take out menu. Every other sauce is available for add on. I end up ordering from another restaurant that offers fish sauce as an add on, but I d prefer to have viet Thai Fish sauce is only available as an add on with Dine in only Other than that this restaurant is amazing, great food taste and quality and great service

They need to secure their fish sauce in the brown paper bags, got into my car after carefully placing it on my seat well the lid wasnt on all the way Im assuming and it leaked all over my car seats through the paper bag. Maybe wrap it in something or get a better lid.

My favorite place to get spring rolls. Fast service for takeout. Delicious dipping sauce for the spring rolls. I always also get a side of hoisin to dip. They are also my favorite place for green curry chicken. I order it with no peppers and extra broccoli. Update: Dined in for the first time in ages. As usual, service was good, food came fast, and most importantly...everything was super fresh and delicious!! If you havent tried Viet Thai, what are you waiting for?!

A Regina staple! Lots of great things on the menu but in particular I love the green coconut curry with eggplant and chicken on rice.

Honestly if I could give a place 6 stars I would. I am a HUGE Vietnamese food fanatic and this was hands down one of the best places Ive eaten. Number 39 or 40 is the go to! 17 bucks and you get the biggest bowl of all time. And on top if you order the fresh salad rolls, they give you 2 MASSIVE rolls. Def recommended. Also Tin the server, man is an absolute beauty. So friendly and nice. Go just for him

I am in Love with the spring rolls and the rice noodles I mean ANYTHING on this menu is amazing and you can t go wrong! So if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food then look no further then placing your order and enjoying something Very delicious!! Lunch or Dinner it s fantastic! Dinning in or taking out the portions are a fantastic size! If you order shrimp the shell is usually on so that should be known for people with small kids who enjoy seafood. Also nuts are used at this location so food allergies be known so if you place an order make sure to let them know! But you will not regret giving this place a try!! 10/10

This will be my last visit on this restaurant, im a regular customer, , but today experience will be my last, i went here around 6pm, its not busy but the food take 35 mns, and the worst part is our starter takes 40 mns and the server try to justify that it takes time to cook those beef, but when i touch its so cold, i think it was sitting on the dispatch area. its funny how she trying to lie about those starter and she didnt know i was chef for 25 yrs. so sad for this place. they started really good, but now they are getting worst! Oneof the rule in restaurant business, Dont lie to your customer because you dont know what kind of person your dealing with.

Excellent food and great customer service! Upon entering Viet-Thai we were cheerfully greeted and given our choice of seating. The menu had loads of food options. We settled on some appetizers and noodles bowls, sizzling seafood hot plate. The food was super delicious and plentiful for the price. There was no skimping on portion sizes! We were asked numerous times how our food was or if we needed anything else. Very attentive staff. Would recommend you dine at Viet-Thai. Parking: Plenty of places near restaurant to park

I tried Vietnamese steam rice dish with B.B.Q pork chop, shredded pork and fried egg. That is one of the best delicious Vietnamese steam rice dish I have ever had at Regina.

Today was the first time my friend and I had ever been there. We will definitely be going back. I will be taking my husband there.

Viet Thai is a Reginas staple. I tried their bbq pork chop dish this time and mannnn it was so gooddd. The pork is full of flavor and incredibly tender. The smoke and flavours melt down to the rice so each grain of the rice is soaked in the incredible fragrant marinade and char of the pork. Mix everything up with veg and fried eggs and have yourself the most delicious rice dish you cant find else where in Regina. Fantastic and friendly service as always

Amazing spring rolls

One of the best asian places in town. Fantastic pho. Reliably good if you eat in or pick food up. Delivery can take awhile sometimes.

It s very clear the staff care less. We ve been ordered here for 13 years and today noticed the fresh rolls are half the size and don t actually contain anything other then lettuce, noodles and a bit of meat. They always had carrot and cucumber in the past... when we called and asked they basically told us we are wrong and have no clue.

Takeout of spring rolls and pumpkin soup. Prompt service, my order was ready when I got there. And......Youve gotta try the pumpkin soup it was soooo delicious!!! Ill be back for more.

Worst pho Ive ever had. Stringy, tough beef, no beansprouts or cilantro, weak broth. Ok, it was cheap but whats the point if you cant enjoy it?

Viet Thai has the best noodle bowls in town. Lunch specials are very reasonably priced and they have an extensive full menu. If you arent sure where you should get your lunch from this is always the go to place.

We ordered noodle bowls for lunch and they were okay. It was a little bland and the sauce seemed like an odd choice for the dish. The spring roles were good.

Low key atmosphere

Their egg rolls are wrapped in authentic rice paper which are light and crispy. You can tell how good the food is by the way they make their rolls.

The best Vietnamese food I ve ever had in my life! The combo with the pork and vermicelli is unreal. All the meat was incredibly flavourful and the spring rolls are soft but crunchy. If you re in Regina for any reason, this place is a must.
