Quality of food is below average compared to similar restaurants. Service was ok. Didn't feel we were in an asian restaurant. Sitting next to a pile of boxes
Everything was awesome !!!! You need to take the vegetable (red and green peppers) with nuts !!!! Also our waitress had always a kind smile on ger face. We'll absolutely come back ❤
Shout out to Vivian and Rick taking over the family business and being the best Chinese in the area. I travel from Otterburn Park to pick up my take out treat for the family. It was also interesting to discover the same business name was where I ate my lunches at work downtown on the island several year ago. Food was good then there as it is now here if not a little better then before both in service and quality.
#26 Unfortunately was not up to par with similar places Vermicelli. Chicken was single piece and not great. Lettuce was huge chunks and mostly white. Nearly no other seasoning Hope they can improve.
the first time I went for lunch and it was quite good. The tofu was grilled and crunchy and service was efficient but perfunctory. I went back in the evening and, from the time we sat down, we were told they close at 9:00 and the kitchen at 8:45 and kept being rushed. I had read about the General Tao being the best the person had ever had. Well... then that person and I have very very different tastes. To me it was one of the worse General Tao I have had; the sauce was not to my liking at all and the tofu had been fried but it and its breading was soggy and unappetizing. Moreover, we had to gobble up the food because things were taken off the table as soon as possible. I give a 2 because their spring rolls are indeed delicious.
Good food, but ordering online is a mess. Orders are not processed or forgotten. Third time it happens to me, so you guys lost a customer. Good luck, though.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. My family and I have been going there for years. There cold spring rolls with peanut sauce are to die for, and there general tao is by far the best in the Montreal area.. I live on the Island of MTL and regularly make the trip to Echalote just for some quality Vietnamese food. The owner is extremely nice and always make sure the food is made well. Some things I’d recommend to people to try is there cold spring rolls, general tao, won ton soup, cantonnaise style noodles, beef sautés with broccoli and the crispy chicken with sesame..
Portions are very good for the price, table d'haute desert options were a small cookie or ice cream, definitely needs an upgrade desert wise, other than that, great food.
Its not what it used to be... lots of fat in the meat, reduced portion, increased price. I havent been back since the safety problems, and I wanted to try again, but the quality of the meat wasnt worth it and the cooking of the chicken was questionable.
I dont like to put a restaurant down, but last night, me and my wife were still angry when we returned from the restaurant. We go to this restaurant at least once a week, the new waiter who has seen us several times, asks us again if its our first visit and begins to explain the menu to us, um, nice but makes us feel that we are not important as regular. The previous waitress, a lady of a certain age, really welcomed us better, she left for a busier restaurant. Finally, we asked the new young waiter, 3 times for an ice bucket, each time he told us that he was bringing it, but, preferred to stroll around with a new one, it gave the impression that he was in need of an intimate relationship. Every chance he got, he found himself within a foot of her. My wife ordered a sparkling water, never received it, he even had to amend the bill so as not to charge us for it. Restaurant owners should take note, even if the food is very good, it takes away our desire to go back. Lets just say we wont go for a while.
Very courteous staff, we had a large order and everything was prepared quickly The meals were disappointing. The tofu was cut into very large pieces. The meats were good, but some portions left something to be desired. The wonton soup was not worth ordering, several people in our group didnt eat it. Vegetarian options: Some options
Good Asian restaurant. Fast and courteous service. Very good food. Reasonable price.
Delicious ! Our family enjoyed all the dishes. We loved our experience. We will return for sure.
Courteous and fast service
Yesterday we ordered (for the first and last time) 2 take-out combos for 2 people (each) in which there were: * a tiny container of white rice (barely the equivalent of an apple for 4 people) * a dish of crispy vegetable noodles: the vegetables were good but the noodles were bathed in oil which tasted used and a portion of the noodles was burnt/dried out. In the end nothing crunchy (1/5) * a dish of spicy Szechuan shrimp: they were okay but nothing special - it was the best dish of the order (3.5/5) * a sesame beef dish: absolutely disgusting! (000/5) The sauce was not a sesame beef sauce and the taste can only be described as spoiled. The meat was not minced beef, but more or less large pieces with sinew and crunch. Yuck. * a General Tao chicken dish: absolutely disgusting! (000/5) Same sweet and sour sauce as sesame beef and exactly the same taste as if it was spoiled. Here also the more or less large pieces with fat and cartilage. Yuck. * a vegetable/chicken dish with cashews: the vegetables were good and the chicken acceptable (3/5) Today, more than 12 hours later, the taste of stale and burnt oil, the aftertaste of the (spoiled?) sauce persists and still floats on the liver... An experience not to be repeated and especially not for the more than $100 that this disaster cost us.
We were welcomed and served very warmly. The general tao chicken that I ate was okay but could benefit from a more spicy taste. Pleasant little Jazz music in the background.
First time in my life this happened to me, I just took one bite and I couldnt continue eating because it was so bad!!! $20 in the trash, literally. General tao tofu: soft sticky tofu, full of breading and really disgusting sauce. In short, very bad experience.
I stopped by on July 9 and had the chicken with peanut sauce. This is a dish Ive had a few times. The dish was so spicy that I ate a quarter of the plate. I mentioned the situation to the waitress who only told me: the cook was heavy on the spices. Several customers were dissatisfied, the couple next to me also made a complaint. A restaurant to forget.

Despite the busy Friday evening and Reina being the only waitress, we were served very well and without delay. Very good meal in taste, quantity and price.
Photo of the crispy spinach chicken is misleading. Disappointing meal. The yellowed spinach, soft far from being green and crispy small quantity under the chicken.... oops which leaves something to be desired. Tasteless soup and half cooked dough. What can I say about the dessert....awful. Doesnt seem very clean. For the price its terrible to be fooled like this. NEVER AGAIN. Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy
Really not satisfied, is chicken really chicken?? Soft spinach should have been crispy. never again
Very good dinner and good service. Everything was good.
What happened to General Tao he is soft and less tasty
Worst General Tao ever...very bad.
Very bad and cold food, terrible service. The worst Asian restaurant Ive ever eaten at, in fact I barely ate anything. Even the tea is disgusting. It doesnt cost too much but its not worth much. Avoid!!!!
I have been ordering there for years and I am aware that delivery is not like a restaurant, but my vegetables are hot and the chicken is cold.... I call to understand this situation and I am told that he doesnt understand and put it in the microwave it should be correct like that and hangs up the line. $50 to be told to put my meal in the microwave unacceptable.
We went there on Friday December 30, almost no meat in the Won ton soup pâtés, broth not very tasty, spring rolls almost only rice vermicelli, The look of the place suggests that they will close soon, we wont be returning in any case
I gave 5 stars! EXCELLENT
I ordered Salt and Pepper Shrimp recently and the taste and texture changed a lot. I dont know if its a change of cook but it will be the last time. There was a time when it was really good.
1. When ordering online, it was clearly written free delivery. I just saw my invoice, they finally charged me $3 for delivery.. Anyway, it doesnt matter, its just $3. 2. The salt and pepper shrimp was not good. The price has increased but I am convinced that they had been prepared in advance, frozen and then reheated for the order. The fried food was not fresh nor were the shrimp. We wont be ordering anymore. What a shame!
Very average. The General Tao is bathed in sauce so the breading is soft, not crispy. Rather ordinary quality of meat. And while the restaurant is only for take-out (room closed), when we arrive home 10 minutes later its already lukewarm. Honestly, I found the Thai Express and Thai Zone of this world tastier...
General Tao is the best! Really crispy and the sauce is perfect. I order all the time
Fantastic food with speedy service. Will definitely be ordering again.
I often order pad Thai to take out and the service is very fast. They are very kind and efficient. The portions are generous and worth it!
Good morning This evening my sister who is coming down from Lac St Jean learns that the léchalotte restaurant is closed.... very disappointed with that because she has not stopped saying for several years that you are the best General Tao and pepper shrimp at her place ..she orders at the counter to bring something that consoles her...she calls me and tells me nothing nice about her dinner which cost her 71...dollars.....very angry she tells me that she wont go to your house anymore until the day others tell her that it came back very good..... Thank you for reading... my sister didnt want to inform you... too disappointed
Excellent
Super fast service and courteous staff
Very bad experience. Cold soup without taste, beef is like rubber and too salty.
Paltry portions of really bland food.
Sorry but before it was very good, I just went, the food reheated. Thats why a star
I really wanted to eat good Singapore noodles... I was so disappointed. It just tasted burnt and the shrimp didnt seem too cooked. Normally I would have given 5 , its been a long time since I ordered there, I hope thats not their quality today!!
Very good! When you go through Richelieu, it s a must. We always take to bring that s why I don t rate the service and the atmosphere
Very good Asian restaurant, very good choice on the menu
Good meal, varied menu. My dish was a little too salty for my taste.
First and last time ordering from this restaurant. Waited 1h40 for our order. We gave 10% to the delivery man in addition to the $5 delivery fee on our invoice and he told us that he drove 20km to come and deliver our order. A real joke!!! According to us he went around town... never again
Wait 1 hour for cold food at $30 per dish. he could put the food in an airtight bag
Rubber texture chicken and won tong fried starter much overcooked. Very disappointing I recommend the red bamboo in Chambly 100x better.
Very good
Really disappointed dish which arrived cold after 2 hours of waiting, the noodles completely burnt. The shallot is over for us
I find it excellent.
The best Tao general in the region. Also try the dumblings with peanut sauce, they are delicious. The service is very fast and we can order online which is very convenient. The staff on site are very friendly. They always have a laugh. Looking forward to the reopening of the dining room!
Good soups especially the tom yum
I placed an order on Sunday August 21st, looks like the food quality is not like before. I ordered General Tao with 3 pieces of crunch in the chicken and I also ordered pineapple chicken which arrived with the same chicken and sauce as General Tao and vegetables no pineapple and/or sweet sauce ..... in addition to the $3 delivery which was never charged being very close to the restaurant. Damage !
Dripping General Tao Chicken, Chicken Balls in 70s Red Sauce
Prices have increased...portions have decreased...quality has decreased...chicken pieces are tough in general tao. Since the change of ownership, it s different. Before, I had a dish filled to the brim.
Wasnt good, was cold and late. Used to be really great but changed for the worst...
The food is ok, but nothing more, unfortunately I really would have liked to give a better rating, because we were very satisfied with the prices and the choices available and the speed of the service but the taste of the dishes was unfortunately not there - Peanut dumpling (good) - Won ton soup (just dough without meat inside and not very tasty broth) - General tao chicken and orange beef. Both seemed to have the same sauce (sweet pink sauce that tasted a bit like pineapple sauce), diluted taste, not very tasty, not spicy...
Good service And good Tonkinese soup
Always well served and the food is always good
Pleasantly surprised! Yum! THANKS !
Everything is good at a good price
For a quick restaurant the food is excellent And the employees are very friendly
Horrible!! The food, if you can call it that, was simply disgusting! And what can I say about the service... terrible! If you want to eat well, this is the place to avoid.
Worst general tao....if you can call it that, for the price its overkill and its a laugh, plus me and my girlfriend had stomach aches after eating it.... Worst restaurant we wont go back there again. I prefer to drive to (Bol dOr in Brossard) to eat quality food at a very good price. Thank you Shallot worst experience in an Asian restaurant
Tasty food.
Fast delivery, hot, succulent. Nothing negative to say.
Good healthy Asian cuisine. Recommended.
Their general is simply brilliant
Have they changed General Taos sauce? The last 2 times I ate it I didnt really like it ...and the chicken was dry...too bad...dropped from 4 to 2
Lukewarm meal and I have already eaten better, lack of flavor.
Best peanut sauce Ive had in a restaurant!!! and my partner loves their meal soups.
Good quantity in meals and the food is excellent
Very Good, weve ordred many time and never disaponted
Good flavors and generous portions.
Excellent restaurant I asked for extra Chinese biscuits because I needed them for a shoot they gave them to me they saved my life hihi
Fast service, and the Singapore noodles are the best Ive ever had in my life! Thats always what I order and I cant wait :)
I have been ordering from this place for over 10 years, always satisfied with good portions but they have recently changed the delivery dishes...the portions have been halved but the same price...ridiculous...too bad I wont order anymore. I spoke to them but they dont seem to want to keep their customer
Nice place, Great people
1st experience ordered general tao for delivery, I instead received a chicken with cherry sauce, not at all spicy and with a frankly EXECRABLE taste! never again!!!
Good to bring only shame that the dining room is closed...
By far the best Asian restaurant in the area! Not only is the General Tao a delight, even their Tonkinese soup does not disappoint. I recommend 100%!
Not edible
Order for brought only
We ordered twice during the summer of 2021. 6 servings in total. Everyone was disappointed every time. I wasnt planning to comment until I saw this comment from the person who, like me, also received chicken with cherry sauce even though she had ordered general tao. I add that the rice and vegetables taste absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this restaurant.
Excellent value for money. We placed a large order and 30 minutes later it was at the door. The food was hot and delicious.
Alright
Good
Phew take out experience which really left something to be desired. Nothing was good, very bland.
Good plate
Always a great service
This restaurant is one of the best Asian on the south shore. We have been there several times as a family and normally we go to restaurants in Montreal but this one is also good! They have several varieties of really interesting and very well prepared dishes. I highly recommend it
Checked your orders brought before giving them to customers, things are often missing! I ordered 2 imperial rolls and I didnt get any! Otherwise, fast service!
Lots but above all good choices of Vietnamese, Thai, Korean style menus....and so on
Quick service my vegetables not cooked for the price I wont buy it again I wont do it again
Excellent general tao
Very one-note dishes, and that one note isnt a very good one. Somehow, even spicy dishes are lacking both flavor and spice.
Best Chinese in the region. The vegetable fried rice and general tao are good and competitively priced. Tastier than chinchine in my humble opinion.
Excellent shrimp and General Tao
Excellent
We werent expecting anything, it seemed like an ordinary little Asian restaurant to me, we found it expensive at first, but when we started opening our dishes to take away we understood. Excellent dishes, generous portion, very polite staff. It s far from the little cheap Chinese restaurant I knew
GOOD. Lack of flavor in the wonton soup and in general you didnt taste like usual.....
Very good
Delivery September 2. The food was okay. On the other hand, my partner and I found that it lacked taste (e.g. wonton soup, pad thai). Furthermore, I was disappointed to receive my order very lukewarm (requiring a trip in the microwave for part of the order) after more than an hour. I also found it very deplorable to see a delivery man arrive without a mask despite the context in which we currently find ourselves.
Excellent
Salt and pepper shrimp highly recommended. I always have good service.
The food is very good. We can just take it home right now given the pandemic crisis.
Weve ordered twice now, the food is good and the prices are very good in relation to the portions. On the other hand, first order, it took 1 hour 15 minutes to be delivered and arrived colder than warm. Second order, 1 hour 20 minutes to get it delivered and the same, cold-warm food that had to be microwaved... (And we are barely 10 minutes away by car). The 2 delivery men were very nice though. But to our surprise, not masked unlike other restaurants that deliver.
I ordered one with the attention to change green curry chicken for general tao and an additional bag of crispy noodles with the stir-fried vegetable dish (I took the duo combo B) 3 mistakes.... Costly -No steamed rice in my order -no extra noodles (they charged me $5) -beef ginger I would say onions with ginger!!! (Ridiculous no trace of beef) $58 with tip and tax!!!! Last time for me to encourage local I dont encourage stupidity!!! Noticed that I have ordered about 5-10 times there and always something is wrong. I tried to contact them to explain and I think they blocked my number so Ill explain here.
Very quiet, good service, tasty food, affordable price! Take as a meal: peanut butter chicken.
We will never come here again,, everything has changed,, food really bad it was,, I do not recommend
Will never go there again.. Not recommended.. food.. cleanliness .. lady throwing dishes into container.. very noisy & rude. Very disappointed!!
Gorgeous
Very good, their general tao wow, very good, generous plate and inexpensive!!
The best general tao chicken in Quebec! Relaxed, no-fuss atmosphere, smiling waitress, good value for money! To discover and get used to it!
the general tao is very good, the restaurant is small but we eat well.
Always very good and fast service. We love this restaurant!
Pad thai in my top 3, great portions. Everything tastes great. Very fast delivery service.
Good service and quality price. Decoration to be updated.
Excellent general tao chicken
Really to avoid a frozen meal is better!
Restaurant to avoid. Dont trust the previous reviews. Wontons stuffed with dough. Reviews clearly left by people who have only eaten at this Asian restaurant. It would have been better at the Tim Hortons across the street.
Good food
good food but way to small portions, way to pricy for so little and the people are so arrogant there. Not worth the time there. I prefer to go at General Tao in brossard and come back to go there.
I ordered a D meal for 2 people for delivery on Saturday July 6..... I have never written a comment on a restaurant site because I tell myself that all tastes are natural , But there are still limits. Everything about this meal was very disappointing, especially the tasteless, flavorless.... Were talking about Asian food anyway. Total disappointment, I wanted to share it with you.
The general tao and the peanut butter chicken with fried spinach were just wonderful in the mouth and very fast service!!! I love eating there
My favorite in the region for Asian food. As a fan, the food is excellent. I highly recommend
Our meal was General Tao; not much chicken in the pasta balls, but the taste was there. Good portion, fast service, even a little too accurately; Me and my boyfriend had just received our soup when she brought us our main course. Normally, I dont leave comments, but when you dont go to restaurants often because theyre expensive and youre served by a lady who looks stupid and doesnt smile at all, it takes away the desire to go back.
I ordered a general tao for delivery.. $14.00 per plate I was expecting better quality chicken than Thai Express($11.00) for example but surprise... WORST CHICKEN TO EAT IN A TAO. 95% breading the rest of the chicken.. very disappointed with the quality of the breaded chicken. Thai express much better.....
Eat well
Very good meal and efficient staff!
Excellent food and service deserves 3 stars so a good compromise 4 stars
Very good. Very helpful staff.
The best general tao around
Super good, my lack of reserved space if you decide to go
Osti good meal for a Monday soere Do the job in tao!
Very good, but my dish was really salty. A small downside for the waitress who is not too smiling and authoritarian...
The quality has declined a lot, very disappointed, I will no longer return to this restaurant
Served very quickly with good service. I was alone and I was in a hurry and I asked him to hurry because I had 1 hour to spare. Everything was exquisite... ;)
One of the best Asian restaurants on the south shore. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. I absolutely suggest you! Its a must!
This was my second visit to this restaurant. I loved my meal and the prices were also fair. My friends and I just made a few jokes about the waitress who didnt smile much. At the beginning there werent many customers but it filled up quite quickly. Maybe she already knew all the reservations and was dreading this moment? Apart from this anecdote, it was delicious.
Value for money and we take our wine
Eat well
So good and very good place and people
Good food very nice staff!!
Sick 1 hour later
Loved the food and had a very good price. Fast service. Pleasantly surprised
Excellent Choice
Beautiful place at really affordable prices.
Im going back there the more we had food poisoning..we were very ill..not sure it was good.fresh its the first time that this has happened to us. In addition, I called the owner again the next day and didnt even offer to pay my bill which was $63. And whats more, hes not even apologetic... total lack of respect... Im done referring no more people... the map will have to be removed for sanitation in the kitchen
