CORA is one of the best places for an affordable and satisfying brunch. The breakfast menu offers an impressive variety of options, making it hard to decide what to order, but that’s part of the fun! However, it does get quite busy on weekends, so be prepared for a bit of a wait to get seated. The staff is generally friendly, but during peak hours, it can be challenging to flag down a server for things like coffee refills. Despite that, the overall experience and quality make it worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
My daughter ordered pancakes… all 3 were burnt. I do not recommend this location. I’ve been to many Cora’s and never such horrible food.
Do you see the cappuccino is to take away? This is because we refused to have our brunch there as we were a table of 6 adults and 2 children. The waiter advised us that for tables bigger than 6 people there's 18% extra charge. We complained and offered to split into two tables. They explained the extra fee is because table of more than 6 people requires more efforts to be served (this is totally irrational). We asked to speak to the manager, who kept telling this is a restaurant policy. That's it. Even though we would split into two tables, they would still charge us 18% more. I really encourage to revise this policy as this makes no sense. Bigger tables also order more food, so more money for the restaurant. This 18% extra charge on bill is a question of principle and a total scam.
Today my friend and I were here for breakfast, we enjoyed the food and service, I left my hat there, then I backed there after a few hours and the nice waitress saved my hat and remembered me, I don’t know the name of this young lady, but just want to say thank you..😊
I go to Cora’s with my family once a month. I have always had a pleasant experience but this time wasn’t so good. First I ordered drinks for my kids and as soon as it came it was half empty and already in small cups. I asked if it’s meant to be like that and the guy said that it’s for kids so yes. I posted a photo of the cup just for reference. It was 3 doors through a straw total. Then our food came and I asked for sunny side up eggs in my sandwich and ate half of it before noticing there is a very clear layer of uncooked egg white. It was completely raw on top . I couldn’t finish my sandwich. Overall it wasn’t a great experience
Good breakfast option. The price has gone up quite a bit but the portion has gotten smaller. The service is not great as we asked for a water for the kid since we sat down and we got it at the end after 4 reminders.
Neighborhood family restaurant serves all day breakfast. Lots of options on the menu. Their breakfast is good with unlimited coffee refills. Friendly staff. Good place to spend time with family ❤️
During my visit to this establishment for breakfast, I was provided with a menu and placed my order. However, I experienced frustration as the server was not consistently available to refill my bottomless coffee. Despite my efforts to find assistance, none was readily available. This lack of attentive customer service left me disappointed, and it has made me reconsider returning to this restaurant. It is crucial for a restaurant to have accessible servers who can cater to the needs of their paying clientele in order to thrive and succeed.
Worse experience , Staff are very rude and we have to waite a long time just to be served. tables are dirty, washrooms out of soap and overall experience very poor. We will recommend visiting another cora location as this particular one has horrible service.
if I could give zero starts I would. The people running this place have so much attitude and they think they are doing you a favour. my daughter asked to have his drink switched and we were told we are not running a charity here. Secondly we had to Waite 45 minutes after sitting down to be served. Customer service is zero and I recommend visiting another Cora as they are pathetic in business practices.
Just to expensive
Portions are big with great services. However, $3.25 for a cup of coffee at breakfast place is quite unsettling.
Food was okay. Delicious bacon but waffles was served cold. Very disappointing that they charged 3$ for a filtered coffee with barely refilling.
It was pretty basic as a franchise owned restaurant is but they could do better. Although food was alright but nothing outstanding.
Good service but the food is average.
Excellent breakfast break.. !!!
My guests and I went to this branch last week, the service was very poor and awful. It only took half an hour for the server to take our order, and then we waited another hour for the order to be ready and my kids were very hungry. And after the order came, to our surprise, we didnt have any bread, everything was really disorganized and awful, and the rude manager who didnt have anything to say after the protest and was very indifferent, I will never go back there and I wont recommend it to anyone.
Not good experience . Owner was our Waiter .so rude and bad attitude.
The price is relatively high, the breakfast is served with a lot of fruits, the waiter is diligent in adding coffee, the taste is average, the portion is generous, and the place is spacious.
The site says they open at 7 am. Just tried to eat here and it appeared closed. A worker looked out at us standing at the locked door and didn t open it. Took our service elsewhere.
We recently had the opportunity to dine at Cora with our family, during which we were informed by our waiter that an automatic gratuity of 18% would be appended to our bill due to the size of our party exceeding eight guests. It is our firm belief that gratuity should be regarded as a discretionary tip, awarded for exemplary service, rather than a compulsory charge imposed upon patrons. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the gratuity amount exceeded the tax levied on our meal. Consequently, we have decided that we will not be returning to this establishment in the future.
Great food, good portions!
Staff were nice. 22 dollars with tax for a single eggs Benedict is wild. Went to mcdonalds after because the portion size was laughable. Food was okay, nothing special. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Great brunch with Cora
Great food, but getting a little pricy for brunch meet-ups
The food is what you expected at a breakfast place . Nothing wowed but kids enjoyed it . The issue is the menu clearly written toasts are included, when we got our meal and toast were missing. We asked our server, she said oh toasts are no longer included . We were like , it s written in menu and you didn t tell us . She then proceed and said oh no problem what toast you want I get it for you no charge . She was nice and we appreciate her offer. Just thought the place can be better manage if they decided to not offer something in the menu they should either corrected or let us know ahead of time instead of us finding out when we asked .
Hello All, not very pleased with the server, used to be a great breakfast place, so much has changed with the service At the end of the breakfast, they had informed me that the the interact machine not working, such an inconvenience. Would not advise
I will never recommend this place to anyone. The service by the manager is condescending. And the fruit smoothie I got to go was liquidy and with an unpleasant bitter flavour. We used to go here all time, but something has changed for the worse.
we went with the whole family (6 adults and 2 well-behaved children) and were told we would be charged 18% extra because we were too numerous. when we complained we were treated like idiots and spoken to with condescencion. at that point the vibe was so ruined that we would have had an unpleasant experience regardless of the food quality. so we took the drinks we had already ordered to go. and they were disgusting! very glad we left. we used to come here quite frequently. we will not be back.
10 star is a good plate but services is very bad after covid 19 ... waiting for 1H to receive my order
I always find hair in my food every time I come here. Management never does anything about it. Does not help that some of the servers have an attitude.
No complaints on any of the food, definitely a nice change of pace compared to other breakfast places
My husband and I had a great time at this location. The food and service were amazing. Would definitely recommend!
Got diarrhea after eating
He added mandatory tips for my son when he went with his friends 6$ per person ( they were 40) which is totally scam.
Food great! Service great! Reasonable prices.
Cora s has been a family favourite of ours for years, so it really saddens me to see that the recent change in ownership/management has resulted in a steep decline in the quality of service. After providing the waitress with our orders, it was quite a wait to receive our food despite the restaurant being relatively empty. The waitress also completely forgot to input one of the meals we ordered, resulting in my mother not receiving a meal. Once she delivered all of our meals, she asked if mother wanted anything to which my mother replied, yes because she had ordered at the same time as the rest of the table and the server completely forgot to input her order with the kitchen. She excused this by saying the restaurant was really busy, which as mentioned previously did not seem to be the case. Our waitress also forgot to ask if we wanted toast with our meal (which might I add was stated as included with three of the meals we ordered as per the menu), and upon being prompted about it, told us that people don t usually want toast so we don t ask . After asking for toast, it took about 20 minutes for her to come back and tell us the toaster was broken and they had to re toast it three times, by this point we had already finished our meals and were ready to get the bill. Very poor service overall, I think the server could have handled these issues in a better way by taking ownership for the mistakes made rather than trying to provide justification. Under current management, my family and I are sadly unlikely to return despite Cora s being a long time family favourite. Sad to see this happen to a previously great establishment where we have had many great experiences in the past.
Mediocre food quality, its not the first place on the list to go for breakfast, but it just does the job...
I came here for Mothers Day with my 5 month old around 1:30pm. The place was slammed and we actually almost took off while waiting for a table. I had a stroller with me and wasnt sure how I would navigate the crowded area but our seating area was very spacious and by the window so we werent immersed in the crowd. I appreciated this because the baby gets upset when shes overstimulated but she was and to look out the window away from the noise. My server was friendly and the food came out not quickly but in a reasonable time. The brunch was delicious as usual, Im no stranger to this franchise. I got Louis the undecided which is a sweet and savory combo. The only thing was it was unpleasantly hot and humid in the restaurant. I was nearby the patio door which I tried to open to get some air flow but it was locked. It was so hot that the whip cream on the crepe melted. If the climate control was better I would have had a more enjoyable experience.
I had a terrible experience at Coras Richmond Hill during breakfast with my family. The food was bad, and the service was horrible. If youre looking for a place to enjoy a nice breakfast with your loved ones, this is not it unless they change their management. Our server, Primeth (Indian-looking woman, for identification purposes only), was incredibly rude. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the French Toast, which smelled like rotten eggs and had old-looking strawberries, she insisted that it was supposed to smell that way. She even said that they cook the fruits???? Ive had French toast at many places and many countries around the world, and this was by far the worst. To make matters worse, the manager, Sirish (Indian-looking manager, for identification purposes only), was just as disrespectful. He looked at us as if we were the problem and even laughed behind our backs with Primeth after he left our table. It was clear that neither of them is suited for the hospitality business. Even other customers seated nearby shared the same view about the horrible service. I will never be returning to this Coras location. Its a shame because I used to enjoy Coras, but with this management and staff, its simply not worth it.
This was a good place before but under this new management, the quality of food and service is horrible now.
Ankitha service was great, friendly, always filling my coffee and the food was great.
The breakfast was decent, I Definitely enjoyed their potato wedges, very unique from other Cora places I ve been to. Looked pretty clean to me. Food : 4/5
The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was esthetically pleasing and delicious. The manager Cy is top- notch, accommodating, helpful and professional. We had a table of 12 for Mothers day and the Mothers throughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all well definitely be coming back soon.
A tad expensive but food is good so worth it. Parking: Loads of parking Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility
Portions smaller. Water glasses disgusting.
Terribly unpleasant breakfast, my eggs came with some mushrooms with a rotten smell and taste. We made a request to change the dish and the man asked me if he takes the mushrooms out of the egg, how is it possible?
Would recommend Great portions Good ,very good food Food : 4/5
Ive been coming here for many years and some things have changed. Staff are kind, service is slow, food was cold (for our entire table on 2 different occasions) and expensive for what you get. Okay place, but definitely the quality has dropped tremendously over the years.
Amazing service and delicious food, will definitely come back!
I really like this location. The food is good and the serving sizes are great
Place is little run down. Food portion is still decent. Use to like Cora s but it s ok these days. Nothing to brag about.
Good old food made to your request
My friend split my hot chocolate so I asked the waiter for another one but he failed to tell me I had to pay again. When he brought the bill out I see that the owner charged me for 2 hot chocolates. But failed to tell me and wouldn t remove it from my bill. The overall food was 1/10, it was disgusting and I would not recommend. My cousin ordered a side of bacon and did not get it. This was by far THE WORST Cora s location. Nobody enjoyed their food but I was the only one that spoke up. I will NEVER EVER be back. And I will never recommend this location to anyone.
Busy as always... Thats what its all about when its done right people will show up
Was great ..very professional staff
After waiting about a half-hour they brought a clod dish for my wife which it did not have any sun-dried tomatoes and black olive. When we asked about it, they said that they ran out of those main ingredients. Not a good experience on the first day of 2024.
Waited quite a while for our meals approx 30 mins. Ordered my eggs soft. They came hard. Waited for over 5 minutes no one came by to quality check. Got up and spoke with my server. She offered to prepare me a new dish. This was perfect. When the time came, I was given 2 poached eggs in a cup. Meanwhile my ham, and English muffins were cold and crusty on my old plate. To be fair it was 5 minutes before I was able to tell someone about my eggs and another 5-10 to remake the eggs. So my food quality was further deteriorating. And I wasn t even offered hollandaise to put on my new eggs even if they did expect me to just put fresh eggs on my cold old plate. The manager did remove the Benny from the bill which I appreciated but of course that was the least they could do. I didn t eat it. Plate was full less the couple of bites it took to find the out the eggs were not properly prepared. I didn t like that the sever and manager tried to educate me that for replacement eggs they come in the side I understood that but I ordered a Benedict. You guys made a mistake I would expect a Benny to be remade and properly presented. Weird new year breakfast. Really disappointed.
Went there and it wasnt too busy, service was very nice, we were seated right away and food came out quite quickly. The waitress we had was very prompt and always had a smile on her face! The quality of the food was absolutely amazing! We had the spinach Benedict, smoke meat panini, and the mango banana and strawberry banana smoothies, totally recommend trying their fruit drinks as they are very fresh and delicious! Overall an amazing place and will 100% come here again!!
Just had it this morning with my boyfriend and it was really good! The only downside of it was that I didn t finish all of the food and the hot chocolate was okay. Loved it though! Thanks .
I like most of the breakfasts options except the beyond meat.
I think they need a little renovation, and fresh paint , the menu is big, to many options to chose,
Everything was amazing from the food to the Server I got the Benedict steak. It was amazing really do recommend definitely coming back.
Dinner prices for breakfast with no coffee refills.
I used to come here a lot as a kid! I remember the food being good, I got the spinach and cheese pancake crepe thing though and it wasnt the best. Prices are a bit high. Service is good! Atmosphere is great with the decorations and TV with silly and cute (in a good way) animations and clips
This place is our top breakfast/brunch place. Everyone is able to get what they want from a simpler yogurt/custard mix with fruit to a decadent meat omelet to a stack of sweet pancakes! My favorite dish is the crêpes: tasty & savory, and always fresh. The fruit drinks are also delightful and we also love the patio option. We took advantage of the festive special in December ( buy 25 & get 10 back) & bought gift cards for all our teachers. I hope they get to enjoy it as much as we do! Our favorite spot is the Richmond Hill branch. Its been over 13 years going here. We cant wait to eat out here again! Vegetarian options: There are always egg options with no meat or pancakes/ crepes that are also meatless. Parking: There is ample free parking, because it is at the end of a strip mall. There is also 2-3 closer spots set aside for handicap parking. The doors open with a button option, at wheelchair level. Much appreciated when carrying a child! Kid-friendliness: My kids have always liked the variety of food offered on the kids menu. Just be sure to tell the staff of any allergies to fruits. We did so with the kiwi & they replaced it with another fruit in season :)
Waitress was super friendly and patient with us. She let us know all the options available to us and made sure we were satisfied with our choices before keying in the orders. It was a pretty busy day so it was understandable that the food took awhile to arrive, but they were incredibly delicious Kid-friendliness: They had coloring sheets and crayons for little children to keep them occupied while waiting for food.
It was nice experience and good taste of food the services was OK but we feel it can improve more. Definitely I recommend this place
It s too expensive. A glass of orange juice is 4.79. Three items for two people are 80 after tax. It s crazy. You can buy ingredients in the supermarket for 10 yuan. I will never go there again.
I had there all you could eat crepes and a bowl of fruit And AT and my breakfast came to $30. The crepes were just plain nothing on them. I believe that $30 is very expensive for breakfast.... For mediocre food
nice breakfast
Food
FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I just went there with my family, excited for the all you can eat creme special, only to find out that the crepes do NOT include any toppings!! The additional cost for each topping was outrageous. To make it worse, they are only allowed to serve you one crepe at a time. We ended up paying full price, because 3 plain crepes only cost $11.95. All in all, dont waste your time, theyre just trying to get you to come in to the restaurant. Very Disappointed.
I used to work at this location and probably wouldnt have recommended it as there was a lot of internal strife. It is safely back in more capable hands (not suggesting every transition to corporate is better. This one in specific is) After almost a decade, I went back and felt that the overall tone was great. The item I had was a kale waffle Benedict, poached soft, which was super creative (maybe you think different), and delightful. Egg was poached correctly. I was able to get a waffle off of the kids menu for dessert as I didnt want to walk out with stomach cramps that day, specifically (maybe offer mini desserts on a regular menu, hint, hint). The server was a little too over the top in personality (on a side note, there isnt anything wrong with looking at your patron, eyes closed while doing it is weird) However, he was on top of every request, and the other staff were very helpful in assisting him even if it wasnt their table (simple things compounded make service experiences that much more desirable). Getting a 5 star review is subjective in corporate. Know that I would, but then if I am super impressed, how to you rate?
This is by far the best Cora s I ve ever been to!! When you enter into the restaurant, the employees greet you with a warm smile and are very friendly. Owned by a father and son, you can definitely tell they put their heart into their job making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. There s something about a family-owned business which makes the restaurant atmosphere unique in its setting. If you are looking for a place where you can feel like you re at home, this is the place. You don t want to miss out . Parking: Parking was phenomenal! Wheelchair accessibility: There was a wide variety of space and there are no stairs when accessing the building which provides ease.
Me and my friends decided to get breakfast here this morning and the service was honestly amazing! The restaurant was much busier than I had expected for a Monday but our server Michelle who was by herself handled it like a pro! Not only was she bringing out food and taking our order in a timely manner but she was also just such a genuinely kind and caring person! We will definitely be coming back and are hoping to see Michelle!!
Food was good like other locations but the services wasnt like the others. For some reasons, the staffs didnt seem like their job. When they made mistakes, they didnt seem want to own it.
A little pricey but I keep going back and ordering from delivery services. Having most meals come with fruit as a side is a biggggg plus! I love it! If it werent for the prices, I would have given a 5 star review. Parking: Ample parking in their strip plaza.
Never coming back to this location! The waiter accidentally knocked all the drinks over on the table and my 75 year old mother was DRENCHED in coffee, pop and water. That wasn t the problem though .the issue was that he didn t even apologize and was so rude when we asked to switch tables because my moms feet were in a pool of liquid as they didn t mop it right away. They told us that there weren t any tables available even though we could see 6 tables that were empty. Furthermore the cutlery was dirty, the glasses that held the water were dirty. The whole place is just gross. Never again.
I can only review based on my subjective experience. My family and I were looking for a spot to eat after my beices dance competition. Coras seemed nice and cute! The server was pleasant, greeted us nicely no complaints! I ordered the Eggs Bennidict with caramelized onions, spinach, and goat cheese (a combo I hadnt had before). I really enjoyed it. The caramelized onions were excellent. I also really liked that you could choose different price options depending on how many eggs you want. I like that freedom. The wedge fries were honestly pretty good. You know how wedges are sometimes so starchy and thick like mashed potatoes but with a crispy covering? This was not that. These wedges had a really nice crisp to them with just the perfect ratio of crisp to pillowy goodness inside (more crisp than softness). The plate also came with a nice assortment of fruit: Banana, grapes, melon, a pineapple slice, and half an orange. I enjoyed the meal. Despite having Eggs Bennie I didnt leave feeling like a pig. Rate that however you like! I gave it a 4 all around because I leave room for the 5s. Kid-friendliness: They provided a fun sheet of games and coloring options for kids. No crayons but Im sure if we asked they would have provided.
Great service
The food is so good. Prices are very affordable especially when you get a plate full of yummies. Hopefully you will get my waiter his name is Greg and he will make sure that you have everything to make sure that you totally enjoy your meal. Awesome Awesome guy.
We ve ventured from Bradford as we do not recommend the Newmarket location. We are so happy with the service and quality of food here in Richmond Hill. Greg was an amazing server. He was quick to greet us at the door, had a great sense of humour and did little things i ve never seen done. He gave us an extra bowl for garbage from the milk and creamers. The food was so fresh, the homefries were nice and crispy, the fruit was fresh and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I 100% recommend this location, and will be returning for the great service from Greg.
Tasteless! Used to be great, been going downhill!!
Great place, food and service
Went there on Saturday with my daughter. I ordered the skillet. Horrible, 90% of the plate was potatos. A thin layer of vegetables on top for $17.99. wtgey are a ripp off.
Our waiter was the nicest man on Gods green earth
I usually do not leave a review but the experience at this place was bad enough that I have to leave a review. The wait to get seated was too long even though there was a lot of empty tables. We ordered the food but the server must ve forgot our order and we waited very long time. The customers who came much later than us were all getting served. After asking two times, finally we got the food. The portions were too small we had grab something else after leaving the place. I do not recommend this place to anybody who wants to enjoy the weekend brunch.
Bad service and food tasted stale
Its my first time here and i never wrote a review but the server name (greg) was the best server i had in a restaurant a hardworking man and this is my next go to place because of him and the food ofcourse.
It was my friends birthday, there is not any special treatment like cake or cupcakes for celebration. Overall, the quality of food and services is great. Parking: Convenience.
The area just came out of a power failure, yet staff was friendly and the cooks recovered very quickly. Kept us updated throughout. Was very much appreciated
WORST SERVICE EVER! They charge extra for the toast that supposed to come with dishes without telling us, never come to our table or fill the coffee , no service at all.
Choice of healthy food like fruit. Size is good for people with small appetite. Lots of different choices in the menu. And food taste delicious!
Having brunch there with my friends and loved the new dishes they have added!
Latte is amazing. Milkshake was amazing. Egg was good. Salmon needs a lot of improvement. Atmosphere is great. Great service
Great service and great food!
Gregg is the best worker here by far he was so calm during the breakfast rush and was so nice to me and my girlfriend, I can t express enough how great he was to us. Thank you Cora s and especially thank you Gregg
My husband and i love to go out for breakfast, we tried everything single breakfast restaurant in Richmond hill.. none like Cora s.. This place its amazing !!! We have been regulars here for almost a year, never disappointed. The food its amazing and the service wonderful! I recommended 200%
Service was amazing from entry to exit. Food great quality. Place was clean. Coffee service was always prompt! Paige, our server, was amazing and has has natural people skills. Will definitely be back.
awful unlawful manager who wont care about the customers
Great food and service.
Great breakfast options and kid friendly meals
I wish I could give 0 star. We ve been here several times before, but since when the service became so bad?! We waited for 10 mins at our table just for them to figure out who should serve this table, 20 mins for 4 cups of coffee after we placed the order, and another 20 mins for the bread. I understood you were busy and it took time to prepare the food. But 20 + 20 mins for just the coffee and bread? And I had to walk to your front desk two times to find the server for my coffee as he could never see us raising up the hands and other servers also didn t come because this was not their table!! When we finally got him to our table (from another table of customers or his friends that he was sitting and chatting with) and complained about we couldn t find him, guess what did he say? Past is the past, let s move on Isn t this ridiculous?! It almost made me feel I was the one who should apologize. It s now 12pm and we are leaving without any food, yes that s right! The bread didn t come not even talking about our orders! Worst experience ever!! Will never come here again.
Under new management, better food quality and service. Good specials for kids.
Quality was not as good as before at this location
I go to this place sometimes for breakfast or brunch. Portions are big and worth the price . I recommend this place. Food : 5/5
The service at this location was amazing! The waitress was very considerate of our dietary restrictions. We asked what did not have cross contamination with the meats and were told that the waffles and the poached eggs were the best options. We ordered strawberry and fresh fruit waffles with poached eggs on the side. For drinks, we ordered the summer special smoothies, one beet and the other passion fruit. At the end of our meal we had coffee and tea. Overall, it was a very nice breakfast experience.
should try the cora special meal. Worth it.
Nice breakfast place, albeit a bit on the pricier side. Many dish and warm drink options that can be edited to create your perfect morning meal! Staff is very friendly and welcoming, too!
Excellent menu, love the options, best place for a brunch on a nice weekend
Always a great experience and good quality food.
The server was cheerful and absolutely wonderful, especially for being the only server there with the whole place filled. The kale smoothie bowl was absolutely delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone!
Food was delicious although quite pricey.
Our server was excellent and food was very good
Amazing food, lots of options to choose from , great quality
One of the best breakfasts Ive had this year. Great quality and value, the service is outstanding. Try it, youll LOVE it!
I took my son for breakfast as an end of summer treat. He picked Coras. I havent been there for years so their new huge menu was new to me. Lots of good things to choose from, but I dont know how they justify their prices. Everything has gotten more expensive of course, but they charged $4.65 for a glass of OJ!!! The bill with a 15% tip came to$60!!! That was for just 2 people!!! Its too much. I wont be going back.
Lots of breakfast goods with a good waiting time.
The number of waiters working there was very low. The service was not great. before . There was a bowl of jam, but not now The toast was whole, but it was cut in half now. When we wanted something, we called two or three times, but they didnt care. the service level was very low.
Lets start off with the good. I ordered the chorizo crepes with home fries and fruit. It was very solid. Food was seasoned well and tasted as advertised. Now the issue I have is the slow service. Upon a rival, we were told to wait due to the unexpected volume at lunch (1230pm on Wed). The diner was at most 33% capacity. Greg, who was our server, was extraordinary. He was very friedly and tentative. If I was only rating the service entirely off his performance, it would be a 5/5 unfortunately, I am not using Greg as my soul grading point. Now, I would normally give a bit of a higher rating if the following did not occur. While my friend and I were paying at the register, the supervisor/manager was picking up an order for a table. He was behind me while I used the machine. As he walked past my friend whispered to me did you see that? I asked what? as we exited. He proceeded to tell me that the manager/supervisor used his bare hands to transfer some of the food from the kitchen to the main plate to be served. Im not sure what the context was, but there was fresh food on two plates and one was transferred to another. That is unacceptable and pure cross contamination. The only reason we were there in the first place was due to the volume at Markham station which was at full capacity. Coras was not even at half capacity and cautioned us that the service would be slow...... We wont be going back. Side note, I think this manager used to be at this location when it was known as Golden Griddle years ago.
They changed ownership along with menu and everything is more expensive. Service was mediocre as they did not top up my coffee. They used to provide lots of fruit garnish, jam, butter, peanut butter on the side this time we did not get any. An omelette, crepe, kids meal came up to $65, we will not be coming back Kid-friendliness: Lots of high chairs
The waiter was nice, there was no wait to be seated. The waiter was not knowledgeable about gluten intolerances which is all too common. After ordering a gluten free meal I got rye toast on my plate which contaminated the whole meal. The waiter was very sorry and I understand. Im not sure where the breakdown was. He requested a replacement right away and when I got the second meal it was missing the gf toast. There was also a table very close by that had children which is great but the adults allowed 3 out of the 5 children to play between the tables making so much noise disturbing everyone else. The wait staff failed to ask the adults at the table to manage their children. I dont live in the area but if I were to return to the area I will go elsewhere.
Excellent service but the fruits they served were tasteless or sour. Their fruits were generally pretty good but I find their quality is going down. I also saw fruitflies on my plate as the food was served to me.
Great fruit plate
Great place to have brunch with my daughters during weekend! Kid-friendliness: Great. Food : 5/5 |
Exceptional service, delicious spinach omelette, and the Gigi breakfast made our morning! Kudos to the hard-working and pleasant staff. Thank you, Cora team
Food is GREAT. Service was ridiculously slow. 15 minutes to order food 30 minutes to get it then 15 to get our bills. Had we not walked up the the register probably would have been another 15... absolutely ridiculous. Place wasnt busy at all 5 other tables when we went in.
Great service.
Love this place. It is a must stop on every visit. They have a huge variety on their menu. Great service. Friendly servers
Very affordable prices for a lunch and breakfast place. Also, serving of food is great (not too big or small).
The food, the ambience and the service was excellent. The staff are all warm and welcoming. This is my new go to spot in the neighbourhood
Too tight
Prices are high, $20 for a plate of bread with less than a handful of blueberries. Service was slow and poor. The coffee tasted like it was recycled from last month. Maybe this should be a 2 star?
Nice clean spot service was good lots of yummy options
Pemael was extremely thin and overcooked and we asked for jam and we got 2 packs for 4 people. We asked for more and the girl conveniently forgot about it.
This breakfast spot may need a facelift, but the food is delicious, and prices are fair. Worth a visit for the tasty dishes!
Nice place, great breakfast, large portions, and friendly server
The food is always good and I like the consistency in service quality.
Wonderful experience
Delicious
Most helpfull waiter in a long while. Its a chain so you know what to expect but staff really made a difference
We have been eating here very often, it has been consistently good for food and great for service. We love Greg s service and he ensured we had a good time. A big appreciation for him.
Long wait for 40 minutes to get food ready with bad quality of service. I had to look for the waitress there by myself 4 times: 1st to remind her to bring a drink, 2nd she didnt ask for what kind of bread, 3d - long wait of food though it was already on cook counter..., 4d to bring a jam spread. People at this place didnt have experience and looked confused... Food where cooked badly compare with other Coras locations:( large peace of ham in a wrap instead of cut), smaller portion of skillet, fruit were not fresh. I will never go to this place and instead will to go to Cora in Newmarket
Took forever for them to even order our drinks. They didn t even greet us. The table next to us was even complaining about the bad service and how no one came to serve them
Cora used to be my favorite restaurant but I haven t been to any Cora since pandemic. Today it s my son s birthday so we decided to go here for breakfast. Very slow service and food quality has gone down a lot. One egg dropped to the floor when a plate passed to my son so we asked for another one but never received. I told our waitress it s my son s birthday but didn t get any treat or even a happy birthday from the waitress but just a nod. The ridiculous thing is at the end, tip options given by the machine is at least 18% to 30%. I don t mind giving extra tips for good service but not this kind. Never go back!
Great service by Jacqueline and delicious-attractively plated and hot. Nice booth on the back corner so we could talk long after our breakfast was done.
Disappointed, service was slow, no water provided, not enough napkins, food wasn t warm enough and portion was small, just a teeny little fruit on my plate, quite expensive in my opinion, not worth it at all.
Overall the experience and food wasnt too bad. We were there fairly early for a weekend, so service was fast. Mind you, the other server was much more prompt and dedicated to his job though. Our waitress came with our food, our drinks were empty, she just placed our food down and left. The other waiter saw us looking around and he came over to fill our coffee and tea. If he was our server, I wouldve given full stars for service, but alas, that wasnt the case.
Chain restaurants are all the same
