We went as a family for brunch, all of us loved our food. The eggs were made exactly how we wanted them, the Greek omelette was excellent as were the eggs benedicts. Very welcoming, amazing service.

REVIEW REVISION (Oct.2024) Below was my review from the last few visits over the past few years. UNFORTUNATELY...we went there October 26 for breakfast with some friends and where extremely disappointed. The server was terrific but unfortunately the food quality and quantity has dropped. I understand that the cost of goods has increased everywhere but the portions have shrunk dramatically, as well the food was cold. Its sad because it was our go to place for breakfast. Word of advice to the owners/managers from someone who was in the food service business for 30 plus years...moderately increase your prices to cover the uptick in food cost but dont decrease your portions. It is business suicide. Good luck and I hope you take my advice with the good intent its meant. Absolutely one of the best breakfast places out there. Even though Sunnyside is a chain, their breakfast looked and tasted like homemade!!Their peameal bacon was excellent and extremely lean. The poached eggs were prepared to perfection. The best part of their breakfasts are the homestyle homefried potatoes! NOT the frozen cubed potatoes that have been deep fried and seasoned...like all the other chains.They are the real thing. Try them...youll love them. The restaurant was clean...washrooms spotless and the service fast and courteous! It was worth the drive from Caledon! Thank you... we will be back!

My friends and I definitely considered ourselves very regular customers of Sunnyside grill. Unfortunately, we will be finding another restaurant to host our weekly get togethers. In comparison to what we were used to, there is no pride in the preparation of the food or the presentation. Its like they slap down the food with no thought in mind. My food was cold upon arrival and when I sent it back, it was like they gave me the same plate. The portion sizes are microscopic in comparison to what we are used to and the waitress seemed frustrated and annoyed with my request making us very uncomfortable. When she brought us our coffee we had to ask 3 times before she brought us our milk and cream and to top it all off our favourite waitress Rocky was missing. The restaurant has turned into a ghost town, and honestly, I absolutely understand why. Overall, Im incredibly disappointed.

You tell me if a tiny club sandwich with a thin piece of chicken breast and some coleslaw on the side is worth 18$ (23$ with tax and tip). These businesses have to stop scamming consumers, this is absolute bs and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Food was excellent and the price was reasonable. It was a little noisy because there was a group of 6. But i would definitely recommend if you want good service and good food.

My wife and I came on a Sunday morning at 10:30 and there werent many people inside. The server was wonderful and very attentive to her tables. We both had breakfast, and the food was great for the most part, I had some pancakes that were just okay. Highly recommend this spot.

We have a new favourite brunch spot! we came here after a negative experience elsewhere. the contrast was stark. the staff at Sunnyside are so kind! we were a larger table of 8 people, so when the first six plates came out, they kept us informed - without having to be asked - that the last two plates were on their way, but would take a few more minutes. when we told them them they forgot an orange juice that we ordered, they apologised and said they would take it off the bill, and then they brought us a complimentary orange juice. the food was spectacular, and the prices more fair than at other more expensive chains. some hospitality managers instinctively understand that what people remember about a place is how they made you feel about the experience. they know that more important than defending yourself from any blame, and developing an adversarial relationship with customers, is how best to resolve inevitable errors and conflicts that are a normal part of human interaction. Sunnyside gets it. And the food was absolutely perfect, too. At the end, when we wanted to add a tip, we noticed an 18% gratuity had automatically been added to the bill. and we were very happy to pay it.

This is one of the few restaurants that go above and beyond to serve the customer. We asked for a drink that was not on the menu, but they made it for us. I will come here again as the service and food are exceptional.

Fast and friendly service. The meat lovers Omelet was big and loaded with protein. The Belgium waffle was delicious with fresh fruit toppings. Highly recommended.

This place has gone through 3-4 owners since Covid but I think it s come out strong. Still a solid breakfast place, though it s starting to get pricey. I d rather come here than Cora s or eggsmart or Wimpys. Service is good and friendly, food is tasty. Big fan of their eggs hollandaise or salmon. Ask for their potatoes or fries crispy!

Outside the restaurant they have a sign offering $2.99 breakfast with the purchase of a beverage, dine in or take out. Staff refuses to honour this deal. Don t believe their advertising.

Awesome experience of dating! They even have the romantic corner I went Thursday 1pm with my bf, the res was empty, calm with moderate volume of music. I want to give the food and the atmosphere 6stars (comparatively the service was a meh ) I tried the avocado special, and the only word I can use to describe the meal is perfect. I officially announce this is my favorite restaurant from now on and I m def coming back for the salmon special

Food was good (french toast and traditional breakfast). Husband said his eggs were perfect. Slightly above average for taste and food quality. Prices were fair. Service was a slow to take the orders as it appeared that there was only one server but food came out hot and quickly. Tables were slow to get cleared. Would go back again.

One of the best breakfast places in Richmond Hill. Friendly service and food was served fast. Belgian waffle and bacon went great together, while the pancakes were fluffy and tender. Slightly pricey but definitely worth it for the serving size you get.

They charged to much for a sandwich. Until I inquired why so much they reduced the price. It was a custom. Just bacon on toast 3 pieces butter on toast 10 dollars. Oh ya over priced. Apparently they didnt know how to price it when they punched it in

Title: Disappointing First Visit to Sunny Side Grill, Richmond Hill My family and I decided to start our day at Sunny Side Grill in Richmond Hill, having been lured in by its good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didnt live up to the positive remarks. From the get-go, we noticed a lack of attention to detail and customer service. Our waiter nonchalantly tossed menus at an empty corner of our table, two for a party of three, which felt dismissive and set a negative tone for our visit. Our drink order was similarly neglected with two coffees and an apple juice being placed at the same vacant corner. It felt as if we were having to reach for our experience rather than it being offered to us with a welcoming hand. When it came to our food, the errors continued. We ordered waffles adorned with fresh fruits but received them smothered in jam and bereft of any fruits. The presentation was far from the appeal we have encountered at other brunch places, further tarnishing our experience. Moreover, despite being the only patrons at the time, we had to endure a long wait to pay our bill. This lack of attentiveness really rounded off a brunch that fell far short of expectations. All in all, our first experience at Sunny Side Grill was, regrettably, a disappointment. Its unfortunate to report that the positive reviews we read beforehand didnt translate into our experience. Heres hoping that the restaurant can address these issues and align reality with reputation.

This morning we were 12 people celebrating a birthday - the staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The service was fantastic - we all got the food at the same time, our coffee cups were topped several times and the food was delicious. The restaurant was super clean as well.Thank you so much! I will think twice to eat out again after paying $20 for 1 tradition breakfast and 1 tea plus $2 tip in this restaurant. We should all boycott this type of business that created high inflation. Either go out of business or give fair value for the paying customers.

Easily the best breakfast place in RH, the food is very good and the service is great.

I came here for brunch this morning and I all can say is that I was disappointed. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast and it was bad. Bland, mushy and unpleasant. When comparing this breakfast location to others, its portion sizes are very small while the prices are the same if not more than other options. With this being said the service was amazing. My waitress was a redheaded woman and she was great. She was very welcoming, hospitable and friendly. Really the only reason I would ever go back to this place was due to the amazing service. If shes not working when you see her through the window dont go.

The other day when I visited for the first time I had high hopes because of the amazing reviews, but when the time came I was met with a lot of dissatisfaction. Staff were unpleasant and unmotivated to serve me, the food was served cold, and the waitresses had failed to clean up after the previous customers at my table. Also when I peaked into the back kitchen, I noticed the chef talking on the phone while cooking, which did not seem too sanitary. Needless to say that was my first and last visit to this establishment.

Absolutely terrific! Food, service, and friendly. They also have a robot that delivers the orders to the table is such a treat too watch. Bring the children they will be so fascinated. Give back to local dine in From the Cowboy

I ordered and picked up a BLT meal. It was ready in 15 minutes which was nice but, I asked for mayo on the sandwich and extra mayo on the side. No mayo to be found off or on the sandwich. The fries were tasty and warm. I will try here again but, think I will stress extra mayo. And check before I leave the restaurant.

I have seen Sunnyside Grill numerous times, but decided to stop in for breakfast for the first time this morning before a flight. The server, who I unfortunately didnt catch her name, was very welcoming and hospitable with a fantastic personality. She was cleaning when we came in, but promptly greeted us and attended to us when she could. We ordered the Florentine and the California Benedict, along with a side of Turkey Bacon, all of which were perfectly cooked and tasted beyond delicious, and it all was quite filling. Im looking forward to coming back in the near future, and bringing the rest of my family here!

Went there today and could not sit where we wanted had to sit where they wanted us to.We ordered and my order comes with toast.I finished my meal but the toast never arrived.When it came time to pay the bill I asked that the cost of the toast be deducted from the bill since I never got it.They refused to do that.These people do not seem to mind taking money from a senior for food they never got.Not good people to deal with.

We always go for local when we visit Toronto. Coming here, the prices were great! I got the Triple Bacon burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was delicious, and a good size. The sweet potato fries were easily the best I ve had and I loved the chipotle mayo it came with. Really friendly staff, and we came when it was quiet which made it more enjoyable.

Went her for breakfast, service was top notch! The steak Benny was really good steak cooked to a medium and good quality. The only disappointing part in my opinion was the side (potatoes) I felt like it fell short kinda greasy probably would suggest those small potato fried squares. I just felt like it missed the mark with that but the service definitely made up! (About $60 for breakfast W/tip 1 OJ and bottomless coffee with those meals)Thank you!

A delicious breakfast spot. A bit pricey but the meal size is impressive. Home fries are terrific and well seasoned. Eggs are as ordered. Just fantastic overall. Vegetarian options: Make the breakfast the way you want it with eastern style feta, veggies and eggs (so flavourful), you will enjoy your breakfast.

Extra charge for coffee, very basic breakfast although I paid 23$, bacon was plastic and fries were frozen costco ones. Found it very pricey compared to quality.

Sunday family brunch never tasted so good!!! We ve ordered takeout and were so impressed. The food was very well packed and kept warm. Each dish was generous and tasted absolutely delicious. You can tell great care went into putting our order together. I would highly recommend ordering from here and we will definitely do it again. Happy to support a local business that s struggling to stay open during the pandemic.

Delicious breakfast! We had the Salmon hollandaise and Poached California ( I added the pepper btw) - both very delicious! Kids had waffle (couldn t wait to start eating :)) and pancakes and again very delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly. We picked up and everything was packaged very nicely. They gave us utensils, ketchup, plenty of syrup. They left us wanting for nothing. We will definitely order here again until we can go in person. We have been eating at this location for a few years.

I went to this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the quality! I ordered waffles, pancakes and a chicken wrap and all of them were the perfect size, waffles were delicious and the pancake was too! The chicken wrap was quite good too. We also were indoor dining for the first time on over a year and it was empty to our luck. The waitress was very nice. I suggest going here to anyone who would like a nice breakfast.

If I could give zero stars I would. I placed an order on mothers day for my family of 6. And one whole order was missing and the food was not even warm. When I called to tell them they missed my whole order the man on the phone said if you reorder on skip we can refund you when you come back. As a mother of 2 on mothers day I did not want to go back out as I didnt want to go out in the first place. I asked for a credit and that was out of the question. So I went without breakfast on mothers day. I called the following day to speak to the manager and they offered to replace my order today if I wanted to come back...... then asked if he could talk to the chef and call me back and I did not get a call back

Tried ubereats they missed an item and the home fries where cold dark and mushy no salt and tasted sweet.

Covid changed alot.So did the amazing owners that owned it previously.Clearly not the same vibe.Food is not quite as good.But iv only been once.So will have to see what happens with some other dishes.If I go back.

I ordered 2 breakfast takeout four days ago and one had a hair in it. I brought it back and they replaced the one with the hair in it and as I got back home with it, I saw there was another hair. I then called them and the waitress said she was unauthorized to do anything about the matter and told me to call tomorrow to speak with the manager. Instead of calling , I decided to bring it in the next day so they could physically see the hair. The waitress took down my name, number and email and assured me the manager would etransfer me a refund for both breakfasts. I waited and not even a phone call. I called the following day and was told that someone would get back to me and again no one did. Today is the 4th day that I called back and finally spoke with the manager; he told me the only thing he could offer me was to redo my complete order. Are you kidding me?? Why would I ever want to eat from there again. It s not really about the money, it s about the principal and about doing what s right. Especially through this pandemic.

Today I went with my wife, for the pancake promotion on Tuesdays and the attention of the tall man was very rude and rushed, my wife ran out of the place and I did not even want to see the face of the employee who from our arrival was very Annoying (I think it was the owner of the place), between this person and the cook they were very confused with the order, additionally the food was raw. I would not recommend anyone to go to that place, very bad customer service, this totally ruins the experience and the desire to return to the place.
