this place is a gem for quick Cantonese food. The food is always fresh, portions are generous, and prices are budget-friendly. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the cozy atmosphere. They don’t have too many tables, so it can get busy fast, especially in the evenings. Highly recommend going early or making a reservation
The staff are polite and provide good service. The food is decent, with generous portions and good flavor. However, the tables were sticky, which detracts from the dining experience. Hopefully, the cleanliness can be improved.
Haven’t visited a Hong Kong-style restaurant for a while so I decided to come here. The lunch special “beef and bitter melon in black bean sauce” cost me $13.5 with an extra $1.2 for iced lemon tea. It’s slightly pricy but it’s reasonable in this economy. In terms of taste, it is okay. In terms of value, the lunch special comes with a really big portion, served with creamy corn soup on the side and a free drink. I have no complaints at all and enjoyed my lunch on a weekday. Just a reminder that they only accept cash and e-transfer.
Amazing service from a cozy little restaurant off a busy street. Food tastes great with generous portions. Definitely going more often.
Very authentic Chinese food! We ordered the beef and vegetable rich noodles and fried beef rice and they are shockingly fresh and delicious!!! They provide complimentary soup of the day and dessert after meal and they are all yummy! The service is amazing! The staff are very friendly and attentive! Last but not least, the restaurant is only with 7 tables but super clean including the bathroom! We’ll be back for sure!
Haven't been here in over 10 years and it exceeded my expectations from what I remember. Excellent cantonese style dishes and very friendly service. Came here for dinner and got a big free bowl of soup and dessert. We ordered the sliced fish and vegetable, and shrimp with lobster sauce, and beef with xo sauce. Had good wok hey and cooked to perfection.
Just from the voice on the phone, I could tell I was in for some good service. And of course, the fact that they accept cash and e-transfers, which is pretty uncommon these days, makes this place unique. What really impressed me was how elegant the restaurant is, unlike the usual noisy Cantonese fast-food joints. And more importantly, I could barely hold the $32 worth of takeout with one hand. When I got home, I found a huge bowl—more like a jar—of complimentary tapioca pudding. Here's the thing: not everyone is thrilled when you get something extra you didn't ask for. But this tapioca pudding was so good that my answer is definitely 'excellent.' I'll remember you; you're going to be my go-to restaurant.
Owner was very accommodating, I didn’t have the menu so she took a picture of the menu and send it to me. Food has always been delicious and portions are great. There’s always soup and dinner if you order the set menu. This place is always packed.
Very good lunch special! Comes with a small soup! Love that and a drink bonus!
Too slow
The sweet and sour pork is the best I ve had. The mixed seafood stir fry is also really good. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. And to the person who paid for our meal, thank you very much! God bless you!
Great food authentic Cantom Chinese menu has so many items to choose from. Eat in can get crowded but my goto spot for takeway chinese food!
The staffs service is very good and the food is of good quality The beef satay is outstanding
We were looking for a noodle place and found this little restaurant. After visiting 3 consecutive weekends, I got to say I walk out every time satisfied. I always get the vermicelli noodle with wonton and beef. Now I need to try other dishes. Food is delicious, staff are friendly and the restaurant is super clean! This has turned into our favorite place lately and I hope consistency stays the same as we would love to continue eating here for years to come.
The curry beef and potatoes are very good, the taste is just right and the price is right. Hong Kong style tea restaurant
One of the best Hong Kong-style side dishes in Toronto, with equally excellent service
First time order and eating here. Ordered several party trays as the reviews were great. When placing a large order over $400 over the phone and called twice for orders, they never mentioned its cash only or e-transfers so of course we didn t show up with cash. We opted for etransfer as we were in a rush. This was a weekend. For some reason the etransfer didn t transfer to them immediately and they claim every single customers e transfers were sent immediately they made me sit there for almost an hour wouldn t let me go and wouldn t accept my screenshot confirmation that it was sent from my account. It s not my fault as a customer that the etransfer didn t transfer immediately. They shouldn t offer this payment option to begin with. Poor customer service for not offering credit card or interact payment in 2024. Terrible experience and my food were cold by the time I left with them. I will never order from them again. Oh and when they finally let me go they said will call me if they don t receive the funds by that day. Sure call me they had my number anyway. Then of course I get a call from them later that they received it. They did apologize but for this terrible experience, I will ever return and do NOT recommend unless you have cash on you.
Now a days you can t find good food. This place is worth the drive! Sesame seed chicken, black bean beef! Yes to all. It really is 4.4 stars for a reason
One of the best value restaurants in the neighborhood.
Tasty food with great portions friendly service and a family atmosphere. Thank you.
Zhengzheng often makes appointments at a tea restaurant, which specializes in Hong Kong-style rice dishes and fried noodles. The food is always good or bad, and the service is also very considerate. Like it! !
The dishes are clean and of high quality, with freshly made food. The staff is very courteous, and their lunch specials offer generous portions at a reasonable price. Its truly a hidden gem!
Great little HK Style Cafe for in dining or takeout. Right now during pandemic they have it closed off for customers for dine in. Great selection of foods and good lunch and afternoon tea deals on their menu. The pricing is very reasonable compared to larger restaurants. I ordered the deep fried pork chop with salt and pepper, the famous sweet and sour pork and my favourite bean curd with Chinese mushroom, corn, carrots and veggie. Excellent value for dinner we got a surprise soup and dessert.
If you or your family are looking for an authentic Hong Kong Chinese Cafe, this is the place youll get to experience one. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is great. The prices are decent. There may be a small language barrier, but all the menu items are properly translated in English as well. Tip them well!
Came here for years. Never disappointed, waiters are friendly, food always good quality
Food is awesome in good portion and the washroom is in excellent condition. Will definitely come back.
Good food, good service.
THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! First of all the service right off the bat is amazing, they are so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is cozy and homey! The food is incredible and so well priced. We got the combo for two and we were full and took it home! Highly recommend this place! We will be back.
Lovely little restaurant, been here forever and got a good reason for it. Small dining atea Food
The was delicious, big plate, nice price. Combo for three is a good deal
The staff is kind and so welcoming that we came back several times in the following days
Hello, I hope this message finds you well. I recently dined at your restaurant with my grandparents, as they have been longing for a taste of home and your establishment offers a representation of Hong Kong cuisine that we appreciate. During a previous visit with a friend, we were greeted by an exceptionally warm and friendly staff member who made our experience memorable. I had hoped that this visit would reflect that same welcoming atmosphere, but unfortunately, our experience this time was quite different. Upon arrival, we sat at our table for some time without receiving any water or utensils, which is typically standard in Asian restaurants. We noticed another customer, who appeared to be of Chinese descent, was promptly served water, chopsticks, and tea. However, we were left waiting. When our food finally arrived, we still had not received any water or utensils, which led us to ask for them directly. Unfortunately, we were only provided with spoons and not the chopsticks or forks we requested. I came to your restaurant with the intention of providing my grandparents a sense of comfort and nostalgia, but this experience left us feeling overlooked and disappointed. I would like to believe that our treatment was not intentional, but it did contribute to a feeling of exclusion that was troubling. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope that it can help improve the experience at your restaurant for all customers.
My favourite local place, been here for over 20 years. Nice servers with smiles and patience. Too bad inflation kicked in.
I have mixed feelings about this place. Second time ordering, the first time I felt like the prices were great, but everything tasted below average, since it s really close to me, and the ratings seemed pretty high, I wanted to give it another try. The service is always super friendly both times. I ordered two Lunch specials today and a wings+ fries that I didn t see on the menu everything came to 47.45. The lunch specials are 14 each including .5 takeout charge; what threw me off was the order of wings&fries came with 3 wings and probes a small mcd size of fries I don t know how much that order actually is but what I paid for three wings and a small fries seem absurd considering this place is known for the price/value giving three stars because staff is always pleasant.
Extra clean , Food was amazing delicious but what a big portion i really recommend this point!!
amazing casual Chinese food place
Went in not knowing what to expect (did not read reviews prior) and I loved it! Food was sooo delicious and flavourful. Portions were enormous and dishes came out really quick. Small detail but I also liked that the plates and utensils were spotless, not a single dirt or residue found. Will definitely be back again
Honestly the best HK fast food in the area. Our go to place for a quick and delicious meal. The staff there are incredible nice. I enjoy both their food and HK style drinks.
Very comforting little restaurant. Food is more than adequate for a quick meal. Certainly very filling with the amount of food at takeout. Plus soup and dessert. Cant go wrong when we are running late.
Excellent service. Food tastes great. $14.5 lunch special for a stir fried beef noodle and a complementary soup is like a steal nowadays.
I came to order to take away and will come back again soon. Food is delicious Service is very friendly, the waitress keeps checking and gives me an update since the restaurant was so busy at the time I ordered. She gave us dessert when she knew I was waiting for a while. The atmosphere is looking good.
Exceptional dining experience! The service is friendly. From the warm welcome to the delightful soup and decadent dessert offered, every moment was a culinary delight. The staffs attention to detail and genuine care for eaters truly elevate this establishment. Highly recommend for an unforgettable meal!
Very nice service and good Hong Kong style food. Small, cozy atmosphere
The best lunch/breakfast Chinese place. Really affordable and filling. Their prices have slowly been increasing, but still quite affordable compared to other restaurants. My family loves ordering here Parking: It can get busy on the weekends where you have to compete with Restoran Malaysia to find a parking spot. I have never had any issues with parking though as people come and go quite quickly
The best baked spaghetti in Ontario, hands down.
Ive eaten a set 8 course meal plus Chinese soups and sweet water dessert about 12 times takeout from this place for over 2 years during the pandemic and not one time have I been disappointed. The ingredients are fresh, the wok hay is fantastic considering its takeout. Its always packaged well. I keep coming back. Im not comparing it to some fancy Michelin star restaurant but for THIS type and class of restaurant and in relation to its peers, I would give it a five star if this is the kind of food you like. Edit: Add a couple pictures for todays order including the lobster. Edit: More recent orders, dinner for 6, selection B. Excellent.
Food is yummy, Fast services, Affordable price.
Love it
Have been coming here for over 15 years to order takeout for dinner. A neighborhood restaurant that serves authentic cantonese style food. Food is always consistently well cooked. Each dish is good portion size. Our favourite is the set meal for 4c which includes: Crispy half chicken Sliced Fish with vegetables Pork chop with OX sauce Stir fried beef and mushrooms. House soup White rice Yam sago dessert We usually substitute the pork chop dish with sweet and sour pork. This time we chose to switch the beef for the sweet and sour pork. Paid an additional few dollars for the substitution. Get a discount when you pay cash for takeout. Highly recommend.
I drive 35 mins on weekends just to come here. Food is consistently great. Staff are friendly. It s a small place with 5-6 tables only but turnover is pretty fast. The beef brisket is like no other.
Back to standard. Upgraded the stars to 4.
The food is very fresh. Sour pork, red wine oxtail, and western toast are all good choices.
The taste is too bland
Nice little restaurant, ordered two can dine, potion is great and taste is very good. with soup, two dishes, two bowls of rice, and a desert. Well worth the money.
Best sweet and sour pork. Eat in the best , while still hot and crunchy.
Food not good at all. Not worth
good food with good price
Very clean and cozy shop. If you want to eat fast food, I highly recommend this cozy shop.
Great place, great food
Nice little restaurant for casual dining.
Authentic HK cafe foods
Nice
I have dined in this restaurant many times when I used to live in Richmond Hill. However, today when I went back for lunch, as we were about to cash out, the cashier lady was extremely rude. She said directly to my face that I needed to pay this amount of tips. I was about to leave a 20% tip before she told me the amount. She was an old lady with black frame glasses. The other waitress was really nice to us. I am very disappointed. This lady really needs to learn how to respect people before serving the customer.
Very family style cafe.People are very friendly indeed. Enjoy my Cantonese Pam friend rice noodle.
Limited seats
Regularly take out food here before, during and now after the lockdowns. Great HK style food! Dine-in now open.
Foods actually really good
High quality food with good amount of flavour. They include veggie soup and tofu dessert in the takeout even. The pork chops were on the fatty side tho.
Friendly place. Parking: Parking availability depends on time of day. Food : 4/5 |
Food is still so so but nice with no MSG. Their prices went up pretty high nowadays.
Portions are acceptable but milk tea is not.. Meat dishes have practically no meat Recommended dishes
We ve come here for years and they ve always been able to keep up with the quality of their food. We usually come for dinner. Things are always served hot when dining in, and portions don t shrink for takeout. They also do party trays - just choose items from their regular menu and ask for the party tray price. There s not a lot of tables, so you may have to wait when it s prime lunch & dinner time. But the tables turn over quite quickly. They accept cash and e-transfer. Favourite go-to dishes include: Sweet and sour pork with pineapple, Eggplant with minced pork in spicy sauce, Stir fried green bean with minced pork, Braised fish with bean curd and XO sauce.
Great food and good portions! Great lunch deals too!
The baked pork with rice is nice. The sauce is good and follows the tradition that tomato paste, tomato sauce and fresh tomato is adopted and that no cheese is used. A star is deducted for the less desirable appearance, the fried pork (a bit oily) and the rice (should have been fried as it should have been traditionally). The milk tea is silky. The attendants are always friendly and willing to chat and give you a feeling of home.
The servers were really nice and gave us extra soya drinks for dessert! Good and affordable price as well. Would definitely come back!
Ive finay visited this place. It was closed during NYs so Ive been waiting to visit. They have many set menu selections for 2-8 people. You might feel like you are in HK if you go :D with many hk customers and TV. We ordered one of the set for 2 people and added rice. All the food tasted great and didnt taste much msg nor salty which we loved. Portion is good. I will try visiting again soon. Update: I found beef and brisket in the noodles are super salty that I had to rinse it off on the soup. I hope they reduce the saltiness of the beef and keep the taste as usual even when they are busy. Parking: This plaza gets busy during weekdays/weekends lunch time because of McD.
Good Price and quality
This is a small HK style cafe offering variety of dishes. We came in Wednesday night around 7:30, it was still busy and almost full. The staff was very friendly and managed seated us immediately. We ordered a combo A for two, $31.99, including two main dishes, slice fish with vegetables, and sliced beef with mushrooms &green onion. Soup comes with the combo for free, and free dessert red bean soup after the meal . All dishes are at very high quality with good portion. This little kitchen is so clean and homey, with tasty food at reasonable price, will definitely come back!
Parking: Parking spaces depend on timing, lesser parking spots around 6-8pm Parking space
Great food and very reasonable price!
Cozy Cantonese place with Hong Kong vibes. Anyone who is missing Hong Kong in Toronto can visit. Taste and size of dishes are satisfying.
Friendly and generous restaurant.
Food was delicious. We ordered the dinner for 4 and we werent able to finish it.
Always good food at affordable prices. Can be busy at times. They are closed on Tuesday. Parking: Lots of parking .
This place has been renovated since i last visited years ago, but the food quality hasnt changed. only has ham, onion and a bit of egg. It doesnt have the sweet and sour melon to make the unique taste. Service is slow even though its not busy.
Ive been here many times and the staff has always been very kind. The food quality is very good and the flavor is very good The whole family likes it very much and will continue to patronize it. Must eat Sweet and Sour Pork, Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice, Beef Brisket Claypot
Good take out place with lots of different menu options and reasonable prices. Recommend for take out, however eat in has limited seating.
Helped out young one with a high chair, food tasted great, and came quickly.
Good food and very friendly staff
The food is served quickly and the service is great
Foods are tasty n fresh. Good customer services. Free tasty pumpkin sweet soup dessert from dinner.
Good Hong Kongnese food. Big potion.
Nice food! Worth to visit
Great food, great people. Dishes are quite large with quality ingredients. Got 2 dishes for 2 of us and took home half.
Their service was AMAZING!! Food was great too. I am so impressed with their service I had to write a review. I have 2 boys, I ordered a noodle that comes with one drink. The waitress automatically gave us the drink in 2 separate cups so my boys can share. I was so surprised and very happy they did that without me asking.
Good Chinese HK style restaurant! Small and cozy with lots of take out orders and busy! Baked dishes have a bit of a twist to it Portuguese chicken has pineapple! Quick and efficient service given how busy it was!
The food here is very nice and the decor is good. Service here is not too bad but it could be better. Other than that I got a very good visit!
Delicious Food
Bayview kitchen is a small, but popular restaurant located by Bayview and Major Mackenzie. We came on Sunday around 2pm, and was surprised to see how full the restaurant was. Luckily for us, there was an open spot when we arrived, but it was a little chilly as we had to sit right by the entrance. During our dine in experience, there were many customers coming in to order take out - which means this spot is pretty popular! They have a breakfast, and lunch special which was pretty reasonable with the amount of items included, plus portion of the dishes. We opted for their lunch special which included a drink such as HK Milk Tea, and soup (only available till 2:30pm). I got the satay beef with vermicelli, and overall it was pretty tasty - there was a good amount of satay sauce included which gave it a lot of flavour. The milk tea was also surprisingly pretty good in comparison to many HK cafes I ve visited. If you d like to add sugar to it, there are packets on the side by your table. As I m moving around the area soon, it s pleasant to know that there s a pretty good HK cafe in the area. I would definitely recommend you to come check this spot out if you haven t :) IG: Ayeween
Everything about this place is *Chefs kiss*. Been coming here since 2010. I highly recommend their baked spaghetti. Food : 5/5
Authentic Chinese food. Small restaurant. Food is good
Small place, almost always busy. Great food.
This restaurant is really busy. Expect to wait during dinner time. The food was really good and the service is great too.
The service is good. I ordered the chicken, beef with mixed vegetables, rice and wings, unfortunately it was all very bland. The portions are normal, just lacking taste.
Great value. Good quality food. The food always comes with a good desert and soup. One of my favourite places to order takeout.
food is above average surprise by how good the red beam dessert is. Food
Slow
Food was good in general, staff was friendly, but soups that came with lunch special was terrible didnt touch all three soups after trying one sip. I was wondering if soups i got were not done but given to me by mistake? Other food was okay. Price is good.
I ve been going to this little spot for years and they are always exceptional and consistent on their tastiness of their food and customer service! Lately it s just been takeout but they re nothing short of a great Cantonese Chinese restaurant. I love their rice with black bean sauce with beef and vegetables and their famous sweet and sour pork!
Great little mom and pop cantonese food joint
Great place to get lunch or dinner. They have lots of dishes that would be found at HK style cafes as well as some more traditional dishes. Flavours for all of our dishes were amazing - must try the spaghetti bolognese! Staff were very pleasant, service was amazing. There is very limited seating, so I suggest you call ahead if you would like to dine in.
Very tasteful HK style family restaurant! The « wok heat » is perfect! The cooking is better than most of the big names restaurants in Toronto. The lady at service is nice and smiley. Price is good, and even the sweet soup dessert was good too!!
This place is finally opened for dine in! Love their lunch and happy hour specials. The food is delicious and price is reasonable.
Great dining ..combo for 4..sweet and sour pork is best
Big portions of food with good wok hei for a good price. Includes soup and dessert with your take-out order. Must try the sweet and sour pork!
Very friendly and tidy environment. Food are so yummy!! Will come again for sure
Fast service, taste good, large portions at decent prices.
This place is the best Chinese hands down in the Bayview and Major Mack area without question.
The quality is maintained all the way, delicious and reasonably priced. The quality of the food is good, and every once in a while, even if the distance is relatively far, you don t have to worry about the distance to enjoy the delicious food.
Came to get a combo takeout. The food was not bad, but the options for combos were quite limited. Portion size were decent, but price is definitely higher than some of the other Hong Kong styled restaurant around in that area.
Affordable, clean and hygienic, tastes good, and the store is friendly
High quality cheap chinese food
delicious curry beef rice and satay rice noodle. Parking: easy parking
The sweet and sour bone and spaghetti with meat sauce are super delicious and top-notch. Going to try it.
Classic taste. Been going here for over 10 years. Always hits the spot. Love it.
AMAZING SERVICE and great food! Was such a wonderful surprise that our meal came with free soup and dessert. Didn t expect that from a HK style cafe. The servers were ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. They were super friendly and kind. I would highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back!
Delicious and not expensive. The service attitude is really good
Been there this afternoon as I am waiting for my son, try the afternoon Tea menu #11. Portion is great Taste excellent Although the HK milk tea is not as good as the other places; but in terms of the food, service, and cleanliness are great.
Good food at reasonable price. This is a canteen style restaurant. If you are looking for atmosphere and excellent service, this is not the place.
Delicious food and nice service
Food here is tasty and price is good. Service is also very good. Comes with a pork bone soup for appetizer and sweet congee for dessert.
Real good food for regular day dinner
Shredded pork fried noodles is excellent. Xingzhou fried rice is good. Wings and fries $9.99 only 3 wings.
The price increased by one yuan today. The lunch set rice noodles are 10.99 and rice starts from 11.99.
I walked in accidentally. It looked a bit old from the outside and I thought it was not delicious. I was surprised that the restaurant was very clean inside and the food was clean, large and delicious. Highly recommended. I really like their salted fish and chicken nuggets. Egg fried rice hahaha
It has a really good taste, the portion is also sufficient, but the downside is that the bowl is too small and the sauce of the pork chop rice I ordered overflowed.
My favourite restaurant since I was a kid. Ive been coming to Bayview kitchen with my family for a decade and still go back to see the aunties and have their satay beef noodle soup! All of their food got me through university meals from the HK style cafe food to baked curry chicken on rice. I moved to Ajax and still crave their food all the time. If you havent been here, you must go. You also get discounts on take out!
Good HK style food. Gem of a restaurant hidden in this small plaza. Been in business through all these years for a reason. The best HK style food in this area. Cash or e transfer only. Parking may be a bit busy as it shares with many other shops. Parking: Many other shops uses the same parking
Food is always consistent, tasty, good value, great portions and so nostalgic. The service always so friendly & warm - especially this one lady (she may be the owner) Had this satay vermicelli with soup, ham sandwich (which I switched for an egg sandwich - you can request for it toasted or not), and a milk tea for $11.99 You can order other drinks like soya milk, coffee, love bird milk tea [coffee & milk tea mix, ovaltine or hk lemon tea) - make it iced (which they charge more) Always have left over food here to bring home. Been coming here for about 5 years and the wok hei (breathe of the wok) so good in stir-fried stuff. Vegetarian options: There are veggie stir-fries and you can probably order the veggies and meat dishes mixed without meat. (As they are pretty accomadating) Parking: In a plaza. Lots if parking outside. Kid-friendliness: Its a homey & family type hk resto.
I ordered over the phone few times and the lady is very kind and good qualify food with very reasonable price. I recommend this place to everyone to try and will definitely order again.
Authentic HK cafe food and great prices!
I visit this place. Employees super nice. Food was good but no impress about it. The food was ok. I got 4 dishes. 1 of them was no that good compared to other places (same dish)
Is the good? No. Is the food bad? Not really. Its blend. We ordered a fried noodle with beef from the lunch special. The left container is the size of all take out I have been to. The right container is from this restaurant. Its few dollars cheaper than regular meal but I rather pay $4 more to get a meal that is 50% more in content. We also ordered Portuguese style chicken.... Its super blended. No taste, two pieces of thin chicken. And they put PINEAPPLES! I have eaten dishes all my life and never once had it with PINEAPPLES and extra onions. It should be called Portuguese sauce with onions and rice. It didnt taste bad but I will definitely not going back. Not sure why this place got 4 stars.... The only good thing about this place is they seem to protect their staffs pretty well from covid from outsiders... Thats it.... Not going back....
We always enjoy the food here, we like that the food is not too salty or too oily we love that it comes with complimentary soup and dessert (sweet soup)
Very good.
Been a regular here for many years. What stands out is the quality of the ingredients: most of the chicken dishes use white meat, the pasta dishes are not soggy, the soups have a lot of meat inside, etc. The portions are also generous. Service is friendly. Fast takeout service when you order ahead of time (usually 15 minutes before pick up).
Very delicious especially if you re hung over.
Light entrée. Like the suggestion to replace when there s the same vegetables in different entree. Little bit less portion than I expected.
Horrible food. I ordered pork lomein it was horrible. I also got a soup with it that smelled bad and I ordered a chicken corn soup that tasted really bad as well I ended up throwing everything in the garbage and not eating it thats how bad it was.. Waste of money and food.
Tasty. Order was accurate. Food was ready in 15 minutes. Quite an extensive menu.
DO NOT order Portuguese style baked chicken on rice here! Seriously, who put PINEAPPLES in Portuguese style baked chicken?!!? Im willing to try other dishes next time I visit
This place is going to be one of my go-to Cantonese restaurants I ll go. Lots of great selections, food is fairly quick & the portion is great for what anyone will purchase. On top of that, the people working there are so nice to talk to. Their sweet & sour chicken with their house special fried rice was very pleasing to eat. Will happily come again very soon.
The wok gas stir fry is comparable to many high-priced Chinese food, and the price is affordable.
The price is affordable, the stir-fries are hot and the oxtail braised in red wine is excellent. The food will not disappoint, but the place is small.
This small little HK cafe, was my husbands go to during his high school days, he always raves about this place, at first I never really understood what was so special about it, Ive tried a few dishes and nothing really blew me away until I tried their Baked Cheese Spaghetti. Unlike traditional Italian spaghetti this was more on the sweet side (but not as sweet as filipino style spag). It reminded me of home, and how my mom use to make spaghetti for us growing up. I always thought my mom just didnt know how to cook proper Italian spag, but I realize this is the HK style spag and honestly, I think I prefer HK style spag over Italian spag (dont come for me - sorry!) I love that its affordable and comes with soup and a drink choice during lunch. My husbands favourite dish is the beef & bitter melon rice. This place is fairly small, and they tend to get busy, so be prepared to be sitting with strangers. Its also a cash out establishment!
One of my favourite restaurant when I was a student at Bayview Secondary School. Three times per week, no kidding
Our to-go place as a family whenever we are too busy.
Takeout only for now during the pandemic. I love coming here for takeout. I call ahead and the lady is always very friendly and nice and polite even though I m slow to communicate with her sometimes and a few times I took a while and went back and forth deciding my order too. Props to her. I always tip extra because they deserve it. Lunch comes with drink and soup. Dinner comes with soup and dessert. They always have good soup and good dessert too. Highly recommend this place.
It s good just if accept visa or debit very better
Very good service
Ordered one item, so this rating is based on the one item so far. Will change based on other items. Ordered the sweet and sour pork. It was very good. The meat wasnt dry and the pieces were pretty good in size. Smaller pieces when fried wouldve been too dry. Too large and it wouldnt be the same. This was just about right. The pieces were tender and tested great. Seemed a little pricier, but the quality was there. No pictures as it was take out.
Small and crowded seating. But this place has always been delicious since I started coming here 7 years ago. Highly recommend their lunch specials and their dinner combos. Im so glad theyre still operating as take-out only during the pandemic!
Good and cheap
one time we order one chicken Portuguese style and rice for take out. When we serve at home ;very sad there is not even small one piece of chicken meat ,all are potatoes. We will sure not give them business forever.
Tasty food at reasonable prices
Had been waiting for the restaurant to reopen. Always love the food
This place is essentially operating like a food court outlet nowadays under the pandemic mode of restaurant operation. The restaurant is never spacious and never fancy in the past. It was just a mediocre neighborhood small restaurant, and it has been established there for many years. Servers took very high precautions of keeping themselves safe. They are friendly. Foods are OK quality, and it is comparable to food court Chinese take-out foods and the portion sizes are average. Prices are very expensive for the quality and size being offered. You may buy similar quality foods from a food court for 30 to 35% cheaper. For buying take-out foods there, it is really for the sake of convenience only. Nothing fancy.
Food is delicious! Value for money!
Amazing place. The staff are so informative and helpful when ordering. I am allergic to eggs and mostly everything is marinated with egg or has scrambled style eggs. Whenever I order, I always let them know ahead of time, both in Cantonese and English that I have an allergy to egg and if anything I order contains egg or might be marinated in eggs, theyll let me know! You might think, why even eat here if you have an egg allergy and everything has eggs? well, simply put, the food quality and portions are something I cant give up. If it means I cant eat something, theres always an alternative. This is, all in all, a place that you MUST visit either by ordering take-out or dining in (when COVID is gone and dining in is allowed again).
