420 Hwy 7 Unit 32, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3K2, Canada
Nice Hong Kong style cafe tucked away in a small plaza. Lots of parking, plenty of menu options, daily specials, and friendly staff.
A Mixed Bag with Outstanding Dishes This Hong Kong-style café has its ups and downs, but it's worth visiting for its standout dishes. On the positive side, their baked Portuguese chicken, baked beef tongue, bolognese with spaghetti, pork cutlet and fries, and chicken leg and fries are exceptional. These dishes outshine similar offerings at other Hong Kong Chinese cafés, making this place a hidden gem for fans of hearty, flavorful meals. However, the experience isn't without its flaws. The noodle soup is a disappointment, lacking flavor, a few small pieces of meat and quality compared to their otherwise impressive menu. Cleanliness is average—nothing to praise, but not a dealbreaker. One notable downside is the noise level. The two waitresses and the cashier lady can be quite loud when chatting about their lives, which I could hear clearly even from the other side of the restaurant. While some may find it endearing, it can detract from the dining atmosphere. If you’re in it for the food and can overlook the noise, this café’s baked dishes and fried classics are absolutely worth a visit. Skip the noodle soup, and you’ll likely leave satisfied.
Finally had a chance to try this HK cafe as I went at 11 am when it opened. Most of the time the place is packed for lunch, and I wasn't willing to wait. Seating is comfortable here, and it's not too cramped like other HK cafes. Food is average, and prices are average too. Drink included with meal. I find the food is better at Pine House and Kitchen M/Joy Noodle. Staff are friendly here and don't give attitude. Worth a try if you're in the area.
Don't be fooled by what it said on top of the menu. "Served with Complimentary Hot coffee or tea". The Point Eatery charged us for the hot tea. There are a lot more better choices for the same food quality at this price around the area.
Food was bland for the most part. Would not recommend the curry fish balls as it tasted like plastic, not even real fish. The fried rice had a bit of spice in it but no other flavours other than it being greasy. Needs more wok hey and flavours- not sure if soy sauce would even save the dish. My beef brisket noodles were the only thing I finished. Typical HK style with egg noodles and fatty brisket, beef broth was really good and hearty.
Pork pineapple bun was absolutely delicious. All ingredients were fresh, for the perfect balance of fluffy, sweet, crunchy, and salty. Baked spaghetti was alright (meat to sauce ratio was lacking), flavours were okay. Hong kong milk tea was good. Fantastic service, fast, friendly. One of the ladies was SO nice to me -- even though the pork pineapple bun wasn't offered at the time I went, she spoke with the chef and they made it happen. I'd definitely love to come back and try their other menu items.
Visited a small, conveniently located Hong Kong-style restaurant in a plaza with ample parking. We tried a selection of dishes including Egg White Fried Rice with Minced Ginger, Boneless Chicken Leg with Signature Sand Ginger Sauce, Curry Beef Brisket, and French Toast with Peanut Butter. The food was okay - not outstanding but fair for the price. The restaurant's standout feature is its spacious setting, ideal for dining without feeling crowded, and the staff was friendly. Overall, it's a decent option for those seeking a casual meal in a comfortable environment.
This is a clean, well-appointed HK style cafe with comfortable seating. It offers lunch specials and good food. We ordered the shrimp dumpling soup (not as good as Big Trio, but not bad), a seafood casserole (my husband loved it) and the Oreo lava toast (pretty cool). If you manage your expectations and don't expect a Michelin star meal, this is a very decent place. The prices for lunch were excellent as well.
order S1, S2, S1. The red dish is sweeter. S2 is delicious, with a big plate and lots of chicken. Will try more times.
found a piece of PLASTIC in the food. The health issue definitely need to be inspected.
this is my favorite restaurant, the owner and the staffs are friendly with good service. The ice lemon tea are incredibly Great , always with fresh lemon taste and never with bitter taste . Hong Kong milk tea are good though for sure
being generous here... This isnt like a traditional HK cafe... No soup and no drink, the drink can be added at 50% of the cost. however the place was clean and nice. Service was a bit slow, and the restaurant wasnt busy at the time. We ordered two steaks, both requested to be cooked medium rare... one arrived well done and the other medium well. Overall i would likely choose almost any other HK cafe style restaurant, before coming back. But if you have no other option available this place is okay.
Food is amazing , so fresh and the portions are insane. Highly recommended!
they like serving frequent customers... new customers tend to be ignored. not coming back.
Takeout cash payment 10% off. Their baked dishes are excellent.
I have used this place as a canteen for two years, and I can count it as a regular guest. Among the dishes, the tomato sauce chicken steak, black truffle chicken steak, black pepper beef tongue and frozen milk tea are all impeccable. On the other hand, the ratio of protein, carbohydrates and fat is just right, and only a healthy diet can last long. Finally, the price is also beautiful and suitable for a canteen. All in all, a high-end version of a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant.
Must like.
This is a hidden gem. I would definitely recommend the Portuguese chicken
Pork bun is good but Singapore fried noodle is terrible. No taste n no curry taste at all , very less ingredients, only few slice of pork which even not hot , maybe just added on after the noodles was cooked Dont recommend to try. Food
The dishes are made to order, using fresh and good ingredients as you can taste the freshness. Very different from other HK Cafes.
Good food, good price! The build your own baked dish lets you have endless options!
Its okay. A tad pricey. Maybe dont order the laksa. Not really laksa as it came as a curry not laksa
nice HK style restaurant. But slightly pricier. Most HK style restaurants include the hot drink, but here, you need to pay extra during dinner hours
If youre looking for a inviting HK-style cafe, this is the place to be! The food here is delicious and reminds me of the cafes back in Hong Kong. The seating is comfortable, and despite the small size, it adds to the charm of the place. Its also great for families with kids. And the best part is that the prices are very affordable, which is a huge plus.
Another good HK style restaurant, the baked pork chop rice we had was good, thick cut meat and it wasnt dry.
Love the baked Portuguese chicken rice. My favourite place to get it in the GTA. Slightly pricier than other options but it s good food in a nice restaurant. Meals usually come with a drink. Call ahead for pick up, usually ready in 15min. Parking: Parking lot gets busy but you ll get a spot
Nice little place. Not much people. Food
Their baked bolognese spaghetti never disappoints you. Also, the Hong Kong-style cuisine, similar to seafood cream risotto, is always very delicious - sorry that I dont know the exact name. - I love this place because I experience delicious food every time I go there :)
Great food with reasonable price, yum yum.
Vegetarian options: Not very much Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Busy restaurant on the weekends. Quick service. Food was ok, tasty but no surprises. The charcoal sauce was just cream sauce with black powder - wouldn t recommend. The seafood portion of the pasta was decent.
Delicious and not expensive
Food was pretty tasty, but the best thing was the portions, huge! Tried the laksa and it was pretty good although I prefer it to be more fishy. That being said, you cant never find laksa in Toronto, so its still a win. Definitely worth the price, and will be back.
Pork is very tender. Milk tea was pretty good.
Very good food makes me full and spinning
Ordered Ginger chicken, doesnt taste good. Tea restaurant do not have soup in the menu.
Super impressed by this cha chaan teng As soon as you step in, you re greeted and shown to your seat. They come by without having you need to wave them down to order and everything is so fresh and portions are generous I ordered the cheese Portuguese chicken on spaghetti and I thought some chunks were potatoes like other cafe spots and they turned out to be all chicken! In my dish alone, probably had at least 10 pieces of chicken, if not, more. I do wish there was a little more cheese flavour to the dish, but I like my Portuguese sauce chicken the way it s intended to be Waitress that was helping me was great. Super quick, and very aware of the surroundings Great job overall
Unprofessional staff and are liars
Food is awesome!!!!!! The with xo sauce it s fantastic!!!!
Cheese beef tongue pasta, the beef tongue is really soft and tender, good reviews. The milk came out very quickly, and it exceeded my expectation that it could come out so quickly during meal time. Very good, very satisfied
Excellent food with good portion sizes. It can get busy during lunch time so come early. Their set meals come with a tea and are a good reliable order. Their black pepper chicken steak is a nice hearty comfort meal
Ordered 3 takeout dinner * a Baked Chicken In Portuguese Style with rice and cheese, * a Lemongrass Pork Chop With Fried Egg spaghetti, *a Baked Bolognese With rice and cheese, The food is good and comes with a standard portion, so if youre a hungry person, you have to make your own choice. Just a reminder, all the food does not come with tea or coffee. You need to open your wallet.
4.5/5 Nice service, nice food Baked Portuguese Chicken Rice with Cheese Baked Chicken Rice with White Sauce Cheese Baked Beef Rice Spaghetti Bolognese with Cheese and Egg chicken wings
fried pork was ok, but the spaghetti was too mashy
Very expensive for its quality. Tomato sauce was too sweet and curry sauce was tasteless. There were only a few beef briskets in curry beef brisket rice and a LOT of RAW ONIONS.
It s a small hk style restaurant known for the baked dishes with cheese on top. The food was great and quantity is huge! Great lunch spot. (Take out box charges 0.25$ extra make sure to not order too much)
It was quite busy at that time. I stood in the store waiting for 45 minutes and did not hear my name being called. I listened carefully and heard the names of other customers being called until all the customers who came behind me were seated first. I didnt know until I stepped forward to confirm that my queue had been cancelled. I told the clerk later that the clerk just queued me up again and waited again. I felt that the handling was inappropriate.
Great place for HK cafe food, food quality is great and portion sizes will leave you full. Only wish they had combos that come with Chinese style soups...
Visited this restaurant for lunch and I highly recommend everyone to come here! There are tables and booths, so plenty of seating. The food arrived fairly quick and the portion was excellent. The flavour of our meals and milk tea were delicious, absolutely no complaints.
Delicious Hong Kong style Chinese food with friendly & attentive wait staff.
Clean and great food.
Delicious food, friendly staff
First time here for dinner and we were there a bit after 5pm so the Tea menu was still available. We ordered the pork chop cutlet with vermicelli in soup from the Tea menu, Baked Pork Chop in Tomato Sauce with cheese on rice and Baked Chicken Fillet in Spinach Cream Sauce with cheese on spaghetti. The tomato sauce for the baked pork chop was a bit too sour but the pork chop was juicy. The pork chop cutlet was really good and the spinach cream sauce was also good. Service was ok, place is clean just the price a bit expensive as compare with other HK cafes serving similar dishes.
Personal favorite cafe in toronto
Nice environment. The oreo lava toast is a bit disappointing as it looks like it would have a stronger flavour but it s quite light.
Excellent food and service! I love the baked pork chop and chicken fillet. Will definitely come back again!
The attitude of service is sooo bad. The old women need to be trained to know how to be a waiter!!!
food is good, price is just a little bit high, good environment and enough seat space; food is good, price is just a little bit high, good environment and enough seat space;
Good Hong Kong style food. Service was attentive and taste wasn t bad. Wish they had more vegetarian options.
Prices have gone up and a drink does not come with a dish after 4 pm - Drinks is now 50% off sadly.
Great service and delicious food. The food served hot and the portion was very suitable for the entire family to enjoy. This restaurant is recommended and we will definitely come back.
I would agree with the other 1 star reviews, service is quite poor. Obviously 5* are fake. They only like to serve frequent customers, new customer would wait longer or not get the same treatment. They gave me my lemon tea with only 2 thin slice of lemon, so thin that a loonie is thicker than it, where as their frequent customer got 4 or 5 slices. Wow.. Not coming back again.
Nice food, reasonable pricing and courteous service. Highly recommended.
HK cafe food is one of my comfort foods and I was super excited to learn of a new spot close by that served up my fav baked pork chop rice and baked Portuguese chicken rice. I really enjoyed both of them and have gotten take out several times after. Also it comes with a drink which is awesome !
Waited for 30 min then came the wrong dish.
Good and fast service. Food amount is generous. I loved the Portuguese style sauce, its creamy with flavor of corn and sweetness. The spicy fried chicken wings were okay, smells really good, but if its a bit saltier, would be better. The was too sweet for me. In general a great place for easy lunch
Good service. Staff remember you after a few visits after chatting them up, food comes out quickly and is delicious.
Lovely food and great firendly service. Definitely would love to come back again!! Overall a great restaurant. 10/10
One of my go to cha chaan tengs in the GTA!! Ordered the baked chicken fillet in spinach cream sauce with cheese and it was delicious. Have to say that not all parts of the chicken were tender, but otherwise everything was well seasoned and the sauce was great. Also their iced lemon tea is pretty top tier in the GTA Id say.
Baked ox tongue with cheese and pepper sauce Milk tea Food : 5/5
This is a small HK-style cafe tucked inside a plaza where the McDonalds is the main landmark. We happened to discover the cafe when driving by and Googling the name out of curiosity. Service was friendly and we were seated quite quickly given that it wasnt peak dining hours, but I could see the wait being a bit longer if it were. Theres a good variety of options on the menu. Everything we ordered (ham and egg sandwich, club sandwich, chicken wings, and baked rice) tasted pretty good (we were too hungry and forgot to take photos of some of the dishes!) The portions were generous for the price point; all the above items plus one extra drink was around $60. We saw others orders, and there were a few items that looked decent and again with big portions. Although the space isnt huge, there is ample seating, and it didnt feel too cramped.
Haven t been here for a year, the quality remains the same, the taste is very good, and they are all produced at a high level. I try different food every time Im in Toronto.
The food at this place is excellent, and their baked rice is a must-try dish. Overall, the price is on the pricey side though. However, I would advise against visiting between 12-2pm as it tends to get very crowded, and you may have to wait for a while. Additionally, finding a parking spot during this time can be quite challenging
I often order takeout from the tea restaurant at my doorstep, and the taste is very good. Recently I tried Teriyaki Chicken Chop Rice. It was really delicious and the kids at home also liked it very much. The chicken is tender and the soup is rich
I tried one time for three months ago and very satisfied For the Baked Chicken with Fried Rice and Hong Kong style milk tea mixed with coffee , its let me surprise for taste is good and price is fair 15.00 to 20.00 per person, and I go last week with my family and they try other foods and I try back the Baked Chicken with Fried Rice again, They keeps the tastes and all my families very satisfied for everything, I really recommend you to try.
Unexpectedly found a hidden gem just by walking in. Typical Hong Kong cafe serving the classic dishes at a good price with generous portion sizes. Any dish you order it ll leave you satisfied no disappointments. I m excited to come back here again!
I recently dined at Point Eatry and tried two dishes on their menu: Singaporean style vermicelli curry noodles and baked ox tongue with tomato sauce. Starting with the Singaporean style vermicelli curry noodles, I was a bit disappointed with the lack of curry flavor. While the texture of the vermicelli was good and the accompanying ingredients were decent, the dish didnt deliver the robust curry taste I was hoping for. Moving on to the baked ox tongue with tomato sauce, the portion size left something to be desired. It felt a bit small for the price, and to my personal preference, the ox tongue was cut into strips, which wasnt what I had in mind. I would have preferred sliced ox tongue. Overall Service : 7/10 Portion : 4/10 Food : 6.5/10
Nice place. Overall is good but still old fashioned manually check in to get table. Electronic check in or mobile through Yelp to book table more convenient.
Used to be our favourite HK-style restaurant in uptown. Unfortunately food quality went downhill in recent months. This is a example of the ham & egg sandwich I ordered today. Taste awful and it was burnt.
Love the baked dishes here! Especially the baked seafood and cheese or ox tongue with black pepper sauce. Excellent portions and always satisfying. The signature chicken on rice (similar to Hainanese chicken) was just okay but not soft. Recommended dishes
Small HK style cafe...Not lot of tables there, but the service and food are good. Love their black pepper sauce, one of my comfort food places. Only one thing I dont like about it is their dinner combos do not come with free drinks, only 50% off. Only lunch hours come with free hot drinks, which kind of not competitive with other HK style cafes.
Black pepper pork fillet risotto More food than rice But the quality of the food is average 3/5 Black pepper juice like 4.8/5 Overall 3.3/5 Big hot dish Drinks are too thin $18 inclusive The place is comfortable
Always wanted to try this place and am glad we did. The food is pretty good, service is nice and friendly. Pricing was fair as well. Will be coming back for sure.
This place has good food but today it was no good. A few things: - We ordered the boneless chicken leg - we got something else, but it certainly wasn t a chicken leg. - We ordered sand ginger chicken. We got just ginger sauce. - The man at front of house was rude. Our pickup order was scheduled for 12pm and it came at 12:20pm. I asked nicely at 12:15pm for an update and the man responded in a loud and passive aggressive way. As a customer, I already waited patiently 20 min for an order and do not appreciate service staff who don t respect customers.
The best, the best, the best Hong Kong style restuarant you can find in Richmond Hill. The food is fresh, the plates look nice, and the iced milk tea has tiny tiny ice in it (even my friend from Hong Kong claimed that its good). Make sure to order french toast with Ovaltine. That dish is life-changingly good. Portions are a bit small in comparison with similar restaurant, and the restaurant itself is on the smaller end, leading to extended waiting time. However, if you have the patience or you can go during non-rush hours, it is a great restaurant to chill and have some good food.
Been here twice and both times the food was great. Simple and cozy atmosphere, spacious and clean. The same lady served us both times and she recognized us the second time and welcomed us back and was able to provide some suggestions when were a bit indecisive on which to order.
long lineup. waitress does not follow first come first serve rule.
Our first time here. It s spacious, clean and tables set far apart. We ordered #19, 21 and 49: baked chicken rice in Portuguese/cheese sauce, beef tongue spaghetti in black pepper sauce, fried vermicelli with seafood in spicy mix (not much seafood but taste). There are not many restaurants that serve beef tongues. All 3 dishes were good. What we love was that all came out nice and hot and portions sauces are plenty. Lunch combo includes a hot drink ($3.5 each if ordered separately). Hope they will add tomato sauce option for beef tongue in future (my favourite). The black pepper sauce was quite spicy. I rated 3.5* service as we have to keep asking for more tea (the cup was quite small and no teapot). Overall a pleasant experience and we will return and try their beef brisket and other items next time. Notice electric outlets under the bench (seating on the wall side) with USB outlets in case you need them.
Got their baked pork chop in tomato sauce with cheese, it was very good. The pork chop was a bit crispy, I liked that there was a lot of sauce on it and the portion was just right. The service was very fast and the server was very attentive.
The baked cheese chicken fillet rice and the spaghetti with pork in black pepper sauce were served hot and delicious. Drinks were included in the set lunch. We had hot milk tea-coffee (yuen yeung) and iced lemon tea. The food quality is on par with similar Hong Kong style cafes in Richmond Hill. Prices are on the high side of the spectrum though. We went on a Monday afternoon and had to wait 30 minutes for a table and another 30 minutes for the food. Good luck finding a spot in the crowded parking lot.
Nice little spot to eat Hong Kong cuisine. Cold milk teas are great and I recommend the black pepper beef spaghetti. Good service and great food, especially the chicken wings and fries.
I came to this restaurant so many times. In general, they serve good food with reasonable price. Their juicy boneless chicken rice is my favor. Also the way they pan seared chicken steak is one of the best. They serve my favorite HK ice lemon tea with crush ice reminded the good old day. I found their weakness is stir fly dishes such as nasi goreng Overall I won t be disappointed every time I went there. Recommend.
First time there. Service was good and food was very good. Price was reasonable for the quality and portion size. Definitely going back to this busy restaurant
I had the Baked Pork Chop in Tomato Sauce with Cheese ($14.99), also added a fried egg (+$1.95) on top. It came with a hot HK milk tea, which tasted good. I honestly thought it was a great dish, just wished they had a bit more sauce on it!
The waiters are friendly Ordered cheese and tomato baked pig rice and ginger chicken rice Drinks are not included but there is a half price discount. I ordered milk tea. Portion size and taste are above average It would be even better if the white rice could be changed to oily rice
Service is bad, really bad, they do not kindly accept 1 senior, 1 teenage and I adult to order 2 courses to share food. Seriously impolite.
Excellent Hong Kong Style Cafe
Without a doubt, my favourite HK cafe and its all because of ONE item on the menu - #18 Baked Chicken Filet in Spinach Cream Sauce. I kid you not the sauce is laced with something from the 3023.
Food is good. Service not the best as they are slow. What made me really angry is that when I was paying the bill, I realized they charged me $0.80 per take out box without telling me and I had many boxes as it was a large meal. I naturally tipped 15% as I was paying, but now regret it big time. Dont tip theses guys. Not worth it.
Food wasn t bad. It took them nearly 40 minutes to bring the food while there were only two tables. And people who ordered after me all got their food.
Affordable price, large quantity and sufficient supply The white sauce flavor of classic Hong Kong-style tea Baked rice is really good, a big bowl is very satisfying in winter
This is a HK cafe, we came in week day night and it is not very busy, got seated immediately. The waitress is very friendly and can speak good mandarin. Foods are served very fast, ordered: 1. Fried chicken leg with fries 5/5 2. Pork chop on pasta with cheese and tomato sauce 5/5 3. Hainan chicken with rice 4/5 4. Guilin rice noodles with pork mince soup 3/5 Portion Size is generous too, would recommend Kid-friendliness: Kids loved foods here
Quick and polite service with good quality food ! Definitely will come again !
I love the ambience here! The staff were super friendly, service was quick, and the food was visually appealing. However some of the food was quite bland but it s not that big of a deal breaker. I love their Hong Kong milk tea as you can definitely taste the tea flavour. Would come back!
Due to new regulations, has to order take out. Owners were nice, portion was great. However if they can lighten up on the MSG it would be great.
The club sandwich is good.
Can t wait to enjoy the food so no pictures this time. But trust me, the foods are so good and fresh. Love Fried rice noodles with XO sauce the best!!!!
Solid HK-Style eatery with decent pricing and big portions. My friend ordered the Singapore vermicelli and it was HUGE. Most dishes come with hot lemon tea or coffee if ordered between 11am-4pm. Ordered the braised beef with rice, pretty solid with good amount of meat. Went in around noon and although there was a wait it was still very quick to get a table for 5
Came here for dinner tonight with my boyfriend. We were promptly checked for vaccination receipts and quickly seated after! We ordered the salmon teriyaki rice and baked pork chop spaghetti. Both meals were ok it didnt wow me at all in anyway. The teriyaki sauce was kind of subtle that I didnt really taste much flavour which made my salmon kinda tasteless. My bfs baked pork chop was better and more flavourful but again, it was just ok. I think I liked other hk cafe over this one. Service was really good! The auntie was super nice and friendly and quickly brought us our food and took our order.
Food is good but it is pricey compare to the portion size they give.
Avg food
Like previous reviews this is a pretty solid local HK cafe. Their specials are not bad for the price point and I found it was more than enough to fill us up. We ordered the chicken steak with mushroom truffle sauce and the Baked ox tongue in truffle cream sauce. We enjoyed both and had no complaints. Both included a drink, to convert to cold it was an extra 2 dollars Service was quick, staff was pleasant and attentive. Will be back to try other menu items
Taste is okay. Portion is on the smaller side.
Nice HK style cafe, good quality and portion of food. Recommended Bake Truffle Ox tongue cream sauce rice. Clean and comfortable environment. If price go down a bit, can be 5 stars.
Ordered baked macaroni with chicken with red sauce (tomato sauce). The chicken is crispy and good, taste of the sauce was fair, sauce not enough. In my opinion, service quality is doubtful. Price falls on the pricy side. Personally, would not recommend this place for Hong Kong style dishes. But definitely not a bad place if you would like to give it tried. *Personal preference of food standards and satisfaction of customer service quality could be biased.
good food at good price, one dish is quite a big proton
The service is really great! ! Come to Toronto for the best service experience! !
The Gutlet pork chop is good here. We have eaten there several times, and so far we have not had a bad experience. The service is average.
Slightly on the expensive side if you are craving for Hong Kong Cafe food. Super tasty and fresh out of the oven! I would recomend and come back for some more.
Great tasting food, good value. The chef/restaurant is generous on the ingredients! Good portion size and ingredients seem fresh. We ordered many different dishes since its opening, and our current favorites are baked pork chops, portuguese chicken and Singaporean noodles. Keep up the good work!!
Good taste, good service and cheap price. Super recommended! ! ! The food is so good!
good food and friendly staff. tried the lava toast, not too sweet, very tasty.
Great people! Great food!
Great service and the food was so good had to write review while eating Good job TPE
tasty
I still love their foods but this time, I want to confess that they charged me for quite pricey just for 4 pieces of shrimps and tons of ham, which is called Garlic butter shrimps and ham with spaghetti served with tomato sauce. Usually I expect to get 10 to 12 shrimps like the one from the seafood dish but this amount was kind of a ripped off. However, I still love the place, the service and highly recommend their signature dishes. Too bad this one didnt cut it for that kind of price.
Yummy food and friendly service will be back
Small plaza with plenty parking. Convenient location with McDonald s, Bank, Clinic & shops. Nice solid local HK cafe. Clean & Bright. Service was good, staff was pleasant and attentive. Food served hot and quick. We tried their afternoon tea special. Portion are decent and A little pricy to convert cold drink with extra 2 dollars. Will come back to try other items on menu.
Classic Hong Kong diner. A bit pricey but thats eating out nowadays. Good menu selection though, if I had more time, I would have liked to try their create your own baked dish option on the menu.
Great place- very clean, good quality, well presented HK style food. A bit silly, but when a bathroom has decent paper towels, you can tell they take care of their place!
Good price, good food.
A nicer HK cafe with a pretty wide selection of classic dishes. Ordered ahead on their website and picked up food without any problems. Food was ready on time, hot and delicious. Restaurant is clean and staff are friendly.
The Point Eatery is one of Richmond Hills newest Hong Kong style diners (cha cha teengs) that offers the classic breakfast, baked rice/spaghetti, and fried rice/noodle dishes. If youre looking a classic dish that best represents the essence of HK diner food, I do suggest the Baked Ox-Tongue Rice in Black Pepper Sauce with Cheese. The black pepper sauce is a great counteract to the after taste you may get for ox tongue, but its a great flavour and texture combination to enjoy with rice. The portion sizes are quite generous, hence the small increase in price compared to other local spots. Rest assured, its well worth the price!
Serving food is really slow. Bad review.
Generous portion, VERY friendly staff, balanced flavouring. The space is not stuffy and seating is comfortable. One star off (Id take only half star off if possible) because the chicken wings and giant chicken drum+thigh taste a bit too gamey (with the dead blood in before cooking). Id go there especially for the iced tea, its properly done!
Food is not overly greasy or salty but nothing to write home about. Their service is excellent especially the middle aged female server. Prices are around $15 per dish. Lunch includes 1 regular tea/coffee but not dinner . I would still recommend it if you like HK cafe style food. Parking: Lots of parking and within steps to the restaurant.
Staff are very nice, especially they are very careful. The dishes are served very well and tastes delicious. They also give good recommendation. They even helped cut my chicken cuz ummm I had trouble.. don t blame me not knowing how the use a knife!
Truffle chicken steak is AMAZING!!
This restaurant goes for good service. The food was good and the portion was large. It offers the same menu items as other similar places. For the same price, other restaurants would typically include drink/soup, but not this place.
Nice seating, presentable food, friendly staff, food arrive within reasonable time, silky smooth hk milk tea
authentic hong kong tea restaurant style cuisine
- food is fair since there is no other competition in the area - price is not valuable,I would say is 10% over charge - vibe is so so like a typical HK Cha Chang Tang with seating like a long bench - service is ok during lunch time that can t expect too much - I would not expect this restaurant be on top of my go to list
Tasty food and nice service.
The baked dishes are pretty!
Overall, everything is good. Beef tongue is their signature dish. Food
every time I order from here, staff r so polite and nice. food is also good. this is my third visit here.
This store has the best milk tea Ive ever had in Toronto. Its not too sweet or greasy, and the heat and texture are just right. Its worth a try. The baked chicken steak with cheese and spinach is also very good. The chicken steak is smooth and tender, and paired with cheese and spinach in white sauce, it can be said to be fragrant in the teeth and cheeks.
Food tasted good with decent price, a bit more expensive compared to other hk cafe out there. Food was not overly oily which was good. Restaurant was clean with around 8 tables. They get busy as their were many customers and takeout orders, but service was quick and customers also ate and left relatively fast as well.
Ordered the baked seafood pasta and the chicken leg with ginger sauce. They were very generous with the seafood. The chicken was just done right, very juicy and tasty.
Tried this new place for the first time today and glad I did! Got the baked pork chop with spaghetti which was delicious and also a iced lemon tea. Of all the Chinese cafes Ive tried in Richmond hill (and there is a lot) this place has the best iced lemon tea! Will definitely go back.
It has been a while I had Hong Kong fusion eats. Portuguese chicken tasted great. Milk tea is also amazing. This will be a place i frequent
This place has a really yummy dish called baked chicken with spinach cheese on cream sauce, my fav dish of all time! The lemon tea is also really great, overall definitely my favourite HK style restaurant! Will definitely come back.
We love trying out new HK cafes and this one did not disappoint. Ordered two of the chef s specials and thoroughly enjoyed the meal on the patio. Must try the lemon tea it is totally different from all the other local HK cafes we have tried. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
We dont normally go to HK style cafes but this new restaurant came highly recommended. It actually had a good variety of options. The food we tried tasted great: seafood fried rice and the baked salmon with cheese spaghetti. The fried rice was very tasty and the spaghetti was nice and creamy. Everything we tried didnt taste greasy and unhealthy like some other Asian restaurants. The iced lemon tea had a nice strong tea flavour but so refreshing - even I enjoyed it and I dont normally care for Chinese style drinks. We would definitely return.
Nice place
10/10 definitely will come back again.
This restaurant is phenomenal, the food is great as is the ambiance and cadence, the staff seemed knowledgeable and very professional. If you are craving quality food than this is the place for you. I highly recommend.
Very tasty!
As an old Shenzhen native, this restaurant is definitely the most authentic Hong Kong-style tea restaurant I have ever eaten in Toronto. It tastes very good! Definitely have to give it a try. This dessert of thick milk hua can only be ordered when dining in, but it is absolutely delicious.
The curry fish balls and truffle chicken cutlet rice were delicious. Hong Kong style milk tea is very authentic.
The food is very good . Staffs are very nice . Definitely will go back again !
The lemon tea is average, but the truffle chicken steak is very good, and the company sandwich is okay
Love it
The food here is so great! This is the second time I have been here. All the food are delicious. I was also impressed by the fantastic service, clean environment
Portions are good, food tastes yummy. French toast as expected. Would enjoy it more with little more peanut butter. Haha. Overall, good service, good experience. On point quick lunch. An upside, debit/credit and cash accepted. When some places only cash or debit.
Incredibly delicious! The portion is large and the eel fried rice has distinct grains.
Authentic taste and good quality food. The waiters were very polite and the tips were generous.
Baked rices are delicious. HK milk tea is good. Boneless chicken with sand ginger sauce is so so. Overall good!
Delicious and very large portions. I had the Fried Rice with Ham, Bacon, and Corn, and my husband had the baked ox tongue. Both were so good. We are looking forward to returning and dining in to have the HK French toast and coffee!
3.5 Star | HK Cafe | Combos | Afternoon Tea | Dinner This review is really a 3.5 star rating. Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is clean and spacious an they did check for proof of double vaccination. 2 single stall washrooms. They do not use QR code menu ordering, still on paper menus. The menus were clear and simple. For combos you can choose to get a discounted drink or not. (Ie. Hot drink + $1, cold drink +$2) ** Food ** - Chef Special E. Baked Seafood Spaghetti in Squid Ink Sauce with Cheese The pasta was too soft for my liking (not al dante) The sauce was tasteless (only the green pepper tasted decently good) There were too many onion pieces There wasnt much seafood taste to it The cheese was good though I didnt even pack the left over pasta to go (which I always do) I wouldnt order it again - Rice 33. Boneless Chicken Leg in Signature Sand Ginger Sauce It was not boneless (they tried) The flavour and texture was good The portion was good I would prefer the pieces to be cut a bit smaller It was okay, would order again ** Service ** It was good. Overall Ill come back to try other dishes and afternoon tea again to be fair. But this place definitely didnt wow me.
the food is good
Clean interior. Nice and warm service. Friendly to non-Cantonese speaker lol. Food is just by average. Speed is ok. Good place for business lunch. Price is higher than other restaurant of this type.
We ordered a party tray. It was good size and the food was good
The portion is indeed very large. A plate of baked rice and a portion of milk curry are enough for two people. The packaged Indonesian fried rice was the staple lunch for my mother and me for two days.
The taste is right on point( pun intended). The HK Milk tea is lacking in tea flavour. Other than that Ill recommend this place.
Clean and nice restaurant with good vibe! It s always busy but turnaround is quick. Came in for lunch during weekend and got seated in 5 mins. The owner and server were so friendly, unlikely other typical auntie servers at other Hong Kong style restaurant, rude and cold. Ordered the signature lemongrass chicken chop rice and fried chicken wings, taste so good and food came in fast too! Generous portion with affordable price, if I happen to this area definitely will come in for another meal!
The leaking milk is beautiful and delicious! The curry beef brisket rice only has two pieces of potatoes and the rest is all meat! The attitude of the aunt and uncle the waiters are also very good! One of the best tea restaurants in Toronto
Hidden gem, tastes better than most HK cafes in the area, however a tad bit expensive
Great little HK Cafe. The food was tasty (a bit on the salty side) and the portions were reasonable. Baked pork chop was delicious, with the pork not over cooked and still juicy!
Had a few baked rices here..and they were all pretty good! Cold milk tea and cold lemon tea are on point. Love the service, well mannered and patient staff!
Nice local neighbourhood cha chaan teng type restaurant where almost 100% Cantonese is spoken. Extensive menu of simple baked dishes and other Chinese favorites. So far one of the best corn beef and egg sandwiches Ive had. Be prepared to wait for a table during peak lunch hours, they do have a afternoon tea special which I will try on the near future
The best Hong Kong Style eatery ( ) . Food tasty with good quality . The ice tea with slushy ice and fresh taste of lemon flavor. the HK style Milk tea is good. The variety choice of signature sauce wont let you down, not too thick, not too watery and tasty enough with your choice of rice or spaghetti. I love the pork chops , no matter the curry / or the spinach sauce or Thai lemongrass pork chop. Fried rice are good too . I tried a fried noodle today it wont greasy your mouth. I can make my choice of sauce, meat for the baked rice/spaghetti ....I choose Baked Curry with pork chops on rice... the take out with the foil lunch case which is big enough for 2-3ppl. I love the service too, they are nice and gentle and helpful. I remember the first time I visited almost closed, but they were so kind to take my order and without attitude. I couldnt stop to recommend to my friends. The best of the best ! may be is too much but I ve been there so many times and they still can maintain the good standand of food quality and the service , you gotta to try, they are really GOOD!
Great food, reasonably priced
