The food was great, the quality and quantity was good. The ambiance was great too. I had one problem which was the service, they took long when I asked for something. They did not come to the table once to ask how everything was so we had to keep flagging them down, also the price is a bit much
One word for food here - Fantastic. We ordered Dal makhni, Saag paneer and Dhaba chicken. Each of them had its best of taste. Dal makhni was the best, reminded me of a good food place from Delhi. Chicken was good too. Saag paneer was okayish but it went well with other two dishes. Naan was thin and crispy, a perfect bread to have with Indian curries. Another good point is the quantity for the price you pay, good enough for two people. Must try and kudos to the chefs of this branch.
Very pale Biryani rice and chicken, almost no flavour and seasoning. Clearly something has gone wrong with my order as it has never looked this unappetizing before. My meal was very white and pale and lacked any flavor and colors.
Food here is always amazing!!! Bit pricey for the quantity they serve, we ordered Drums of heaven, Roti/Rara lamb curry and Awadhi chicken biryani everything was delicious!!! Absolutely great experience!! Also lots of free parking Thank you guys
Good Ambience. We ordered Galauti Kabab, tandoori chicken, Tandoori naan, Tandoori roti, Rara Lamb, Butter chicken and Lamb Biryani. The naan, roti and butter chicken were good. The rara lamb was ok, Biryani wasn’t great. The galauti kababs were a bit different from other places that I’ve had them but were ok. Service was lacking, I had to call multiple times for various reasons including a refill of water. I would not order Biryani here, the other dishes were ok. With less fancy ambience, there are other restaurants with better food.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently dined at Adrak , and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the manager was incredibly welcoming and offered us complimentary drinks, which was a lovely touch. His politeness and attentiveness made our experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding—authentic Indian flavors that truly transported us to India. Each dish was prepared with care and tasted amazing. Whether you’re a fan of spicy curries or flavorful biryanis, there’s something for everyone. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience with great food and warm hospitality, Adrak is the place to go!
Hands down one of the best fine dining Indian restaurants ! Every single item we ordered was delicious and the service was 10/10! The cocktails were beautiful and absolutely great! I would advise you keep time as reservation time is strict so that you can enjoy yourself fully with no rush. 💯 will be going back!
Celebrated Father’s Day with my family at Adrak - One of the very popular modern Indian restaurants located in Richmond Hill. I always wanted to try out this restaurant having heard so much about it. The entrance to the restaurant was just ordinary as it was set up in a corporate building. The ambience was fine, the interior wasn’t that impressive. We were seated at one of the circular booth seating with a couple of chairs. I sat on the chair which was small for a medium built person and wasn’t very comfortable as well. One of the servers greeted us and served water which was less than half full in the glasses which I knew was intentional but the server never came back to fill the glasses. We had to ask for more water. The restaurant had a Father’s Day special menu and so we ordered Kadhai Paneer, Bhartha Rawalpindi & Martaban Ke Choley along with Masala Laccha Onions and assorted breads - Tandoori Rotis, Butter Naans, Garlic Naans & Laccha Parantha. It took a little longer for the food to arrive despite the restaurant not being fully occupied during lunch time. The Kadhai Paneer looked appetizing and was served in a different serving bowl than the Bhartha and Choley. Considering Adrak to be an upscale Modern Indian restaurant, the presentation of the dishes was just ordinary. It didn’t really feel that we were dining in a Michelin star level restaurant. I’ve seen much better presentation in many other Indian restaurants across Canada. Kadhai Paneer: The Kadhai Paneer was good with a rich masala/gravy. However, the paneer cubes were less in the dish. Bhartha Rawalpindi: The Bhartha was below average. The eggplant was boiled rather than being grilled so it lacked the typical roasted flavour. Salt was missing and the spices were also less. The portion was less for the highly priced dish. Martaban Ke Choley: The Choley was okay and not that flavourful. I’ve had this type of Choley many times in the past and know exactly how it should taste. The portion for this dish was also less for the price charged. Breads: All the different breads tasted excellent. The garlic naan was almost same as the butter naan as there wasn’t much garlic on the naan. The breads were soft and delicious. We enjoyed them very much. Masala Laccha Onions: The Masala Laccha Onions were poorly presented with just red chilli powder sprinkled on them. It should have had some salt along with some lemon wedges and one or two green chilies. We asked for the green chilies separately and they were fresh and crisp. We had 4 servers for different things as part of our dining (Water, Serving, Table Cleaning & Packaging for the left over food) during the course of our meal but they were all very well behaved. Surprisingly, we were not asked even once if we needed anything or if the food was good. This was not expected from a fine dining restaurant like Adrak. Our dining experience was okay but could have been a lot better for the reasons described above.
Around 9:40PM we came to this restaurant. They told us to wait for two minutes, so that they clean the table. After waiting two minutes we sat on the table. Someone came and told us that the restaurant is closed. THIS NOT HOW YOU SERVE PEOPLE. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.
Adrak is one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto, with delicious food and exceptional presentation. The location is convenient, with easy access from Highway 7, making it a great spot for both casual and business dining. The food was fantastic, flavorful, rich, and beautifully plated. Each dish looked like it was crafted with great attention to detail. The combination of taste and presentation truly set Adrak apart from other Indian restaurants in the area. The atmosphere was pleasant and suited well for a business district, offering a refined yet comfortable dining experience. However, the service left something to be desired. The waitstaff were efficient but lacked warmth and personality. They performed their duties but with little engagement, no smiles or personal touch. At times, we had to actively look for the servers, as they rarely checked on us without being called over. It s important to note that some dishes can take up to an hour to prepare, so it s worth asking ahead to avoid long waits. Additionally, while some items are spicy (as expected from an Indian restaurant), I didn t find the heat overwhelming. If you re sensitive to spice, it s manageable, but checking with the staff beforehand is a good idea. Overall, Adrak offers excellent food and a lovely atmosphere but could improve its service to create a more welcoming and attentive dining experience. Despite this, it remains a top choice for Indian cuisine in the city.
Amazing food and service!!!
This was our second time at Adrak and our experience was overall very underwhelming, the service was subpar and the food definitely didn t meet the expectations. Would not come again.
We loved the food. recommend
The food was stale or tasted that way. The raita was good but the lamb and biryani was beyond saving. Wouldn t recommend take out.
Food is amazing!
I visited this restaurant with my family and a friend for dining, but the service was extremely disappointing. Despite the cold weather and plenty of space available inside, the staff told us to wait outside. This experience left us feeling very dissatisfied and we left without having dinner..
Food tasted amazing and quality was decent, however I got sick for 2 days after that meal. Also the quantity is very less compared to the price, the staff wont generally accommodate any requests made to tweak the spice levels or maybe customize any toppings on the chaat. Google says it closed at 10 but go before 9 or they wont take you in and they will say the kitchen will close at 9:15!
Food was creative and the recommendations were all great. It was quite heavy though and portion sizes were good.
We went to this place after a long day of searching houses in the markham and it was not planned at all. That s why we were wearing our casual and comfy clothes. We decided to try the food at this place so we went in and there was the girl whom I find little rude and it seems like she was not happy to see us. We asked for the table and she said it will take 30 minutes(we understood because I know you need to reserve the table). We waited and then after 30 minutes they provide us the table but nobody came to greet us and ask us for the water. We have to call so many times that we are ready for the order. After a while someone came in and took our order. Ngl but food was okay but portioning was very less we ordered momos, briyani and chicken something with naan. You can get same taste or even better taste from somewhere else on a better rates. I have noticed one thing the manager was only going to the people who were either in a group or dressed very formal. He didn t came to us to ask if everything is okay and how was the food. He just wants to ask the people who were dressed up. I think they need to just work on their staff greeting and treat everyone nicely and equally. I know some people will gonna say ohh then dress nicely and all that, but sometimes you just make plans and try something new.
Amazing food and top class service! Great staff Manjit is the best :)
Great food, great ambience. Loved the service by Mr. Vivek.
Had our Pickleball group dinner at Adrak, Richmond Hill last night with 14 people. Food was great along with the ambience and service. Special mention to the manager Manjit Singh who took good care of us. Vegetarian options: We had the Okra as our vegetarian dish.
Worth Visiting ..
Yummy food, every dish was delicious. Ambiance was great and since we went for lunch it was not too busy and we could have a good time with friends. We had Dhaba Chicken curry and Goan fish curry both were prepared to perfection. Liked their way of serving rice. Chocolate cake was very very delicious. Service was great. Vegetarian options: Tawa Khumb mirch aur baigan ka salan Dietary restrictions: Should consider adding some Jain options to the Menu
All the food we ordered today is super salty. It s too salty that u don t taste anything else. It used to be a good place but not anymore and I m so disappointed. The shrimp is not the same anymore, a lot smaller than it used to be. The taste is so different, it used to be spicy and now it s just plain salty. Food
Food was great! Service can be faster but overall an excellent choice for Indian Fine Dining.
Visited last night for a birthday celebration. Food was average at most. Service was pathetic, staff forgot to serve the drinks ordered with food, had to remind them. Even after mentioning it was a special occasion, they forgot the cake with happy birthday and brought the bill. Had to remind of the cake again. They took another 15 mins to bring the cake. Then they added the tip themselves to the bill amount. My bill was $102. And the machine said $120. We didn t realize at that moment until we reached the car that they charged us $17 something for the tip by themselves for two people. I don t understand why Indian fine dining places consider themselves entitled to tip that also more than 15% when the service was below average. Maybe make the experience an actual fine dining one where I am happy to give a tip that could be even more than that. Please be careful that this doesn t happen with your bill amount. I didn t want to go in and argue at the end of the night after all the delay in food and service. Will never go back to any of their locations. I had high expectations for an actual fine dining experience which is why I drove from Hamilton but I regretted my decision as soon as I left the restaurant.
I was looking forward to Adrak given the reviews. The experience was a mix of good and mehh. Food & Drink: Lalas lassi was pleasant and refreshing pair to the food. The dry-style gobi manchurian was nice, crispy and very spicy (almost too much to allow tasting any other flavors). The paneer tikka masala and garlic naan were amazing. The goan fish curry was sadly disappointing - it tasted and looked like a vindaloo curry which not a preferred curry (for me). Finally, the gulab jamuns were delicious. Service: The service was choppy and/or disorganized. The drinks arrived after the appetizers. The servers need to be trained to pour a beer (without spilling and half-glass of head). The timeliness of the service was lacking - there were 3 tables that arrived later than us and had faster turn-around. Maybe it the location of the table (wine-alcove).
Second time at this location. My comparison is with last year s visit. Quite disappointed the second time considering the yorkville location is michelin star level, expected some sort of competition/comparison which I felt last year in December at least. I went for my parents anniversary last night and the service was poor, no one came to ask how the food was, plus they seemed to have an issue to switch plates for mains after our appetizer plus I had to ask for the wet towels after paying bill.
Amazing curries! I found the portions to be very generous!
Amazing food and service , my server was Jesica, she was very nice and professional, helpful and friendly
From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The entire experience was wonderful, from the delicious food to the attentive service to the charming ambiance. our server Vivek was amiable, and polite. We highly recommend this place.
Really good food and very friendly staff. Ishmeet singh
The place has a nice ambiance, but I had a disappointing experience with the food. The sheekh kebab I ordered was undercooked, the Afghani chicken lacked flavor, and the chicken itself was tough and chewy. We also ordered Awadhi chicken biryani, but it shouldn t even be called biryani there was no taste, and the rice was overcooked. The food was not worth the price or reputation. I had high hopes based on the reviews, but to top it off, the service was extremely slow. Overall, a terrible experience.
Ordered Saag paneer told him mild spice level but It was very spicy I couldnt eat it. We complained asked him to change.instead he brought yogurt raita to subdue the spice level. He suggested, and then he charged extra for raita . We only wanted mild, not yogurt, to band-aid the spice level.
Very Average Indian food in fancy environment with expensive pricing
We recently and for the first time ordered from Adrak through Uber Eats We absolutely LOVED THE FOOD We are vegetarians so we ordered the vegetarian dishes and loved each one of them Paneer tikka Bhindi Do Pyaza Daal fry and Garlic Naan - everything was super tasty and fresh Only thing we didn t like rather unfortunately I have to say we hated was VEG BIRYANI it was nothing but just fragrant basmati rice and big chunks of smelly cauliflower that s why I am saying we hated it - I have had good veg biryanis at different places and it s absolutely a NO for biryani at Adrak for me
We recently dined at Adrak. Great ambiance, authentic Indian cuisine ( although Roti and Naan were mediocre) and excellent service thanks to Vivek! We will definitely go back again!
The Briyani tasted very bland, and they missed an item on my order. Its definitely not worth the price. Food : 2/5
A good upscale restaurant serving Indian cuisine. The service was great and the food was excellent.
Jhol Momos: 5/5 - Immaculate flavor, easily the highlight of the night Mango Lassi: 3/5 - its more of a mango smoothie Butter chicken: 2.5/5 - While I appreciate the quantity of chicken in the curry which was plentiful, the curry itself was sweet. We understood from the server that it would be mild but theres a difference between mild and sweet and this was a sweet tasting dish. Disappointing. Paneer Tikka Masala: 4.5/5 - Good portion size and quantity of paneer was plentiful. Great taste too. We told them to make it spicy and it lived up to the spice and flavor levels that we desired. Its a bit too thick/creamy for me personally but still tastes amazing. Garlic and Chili Naan: 3/5 The naan were flat and not fluffy. Also we didnt notice any difference between the garlic and chilli naan so might as well just get the garlic naan and save a dollar. Jeera Rice: 5/5 - Nice smoky flavor. Enjoyed this one with the curries. Overall Id say its a solid 4/5 for the entire experience. I found it to be overpriced as the total with a modest tip came to nearly $120 for two people. You can get similar quality and taste of food for about half of that at many other Indian restaurants.
We had lunch yesterday at ADRAK Restuarant at Highway 7 Tironto. The food was very good. We liked tge mutton biryani, the mutton ghee roast & Afghani chicken. We also conveyed our compliments to the cook through Jessica who was pleasantly attending to us.
Good food, but pricy but worth it.
Food if ok, but prices are unbelievable, tooo costly.
Always perfectly cooked indian food with great taste, Must try new chinese menu, a great addition. Food
I had a pretty bad experience with this restaurant recently. I had to cancel a reservation because of a family emergency, but they still charged me a cancellation fee, which felt pretty unfair given the situation as they didn t even mention any cancellation fee when I booked a reservation. I asked them when the cancellation would be free of charge. They said it needs to be told at least before 24 hours. Who knows what will happen in 24 hours? Why does this unreasonable and unhumanised corporate system exist? I Tried to talk to them about it, but they didn t care at all. On top of that, the person who I was trying to talk to for cancelling didn t say that the cancellation fee was PER person on the table, so i ended up paying cancellation fee x3 (3ppl) Honestly, it left a sour taste in my mouth, and I definitely won t be going back. Neither will any of my friends or family. If you re looking for good customer service, this is not the place.
We were here for our first time and really loved the taste and aromatic flavours of the numerous dishes we ordered. Our stomachs were so satiated that we literally had to crawl home. I bet the dinner ambience is much better with the lights on and the see through kitchen more active. Very nice staff and very friendly! A must visit whether you are downtown or uptown! Vegetarian options: Quite a wide selection! We had one vegetarian in our party and she was impressed with the selection! The rest of us - carnivores!
Visited Adrak on September 7th at 7:30 PM, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We waited over an hour (until 8:45 PM) for our order, with no check-ins, apologies, or updates during the long wait. We were dining with kids, and no one offered to bring anything to keep them comfortable while we waited. After the food finally arrived, no staff bothered to check in or ask if we needed anything else, which made the service feel even worse. Extremely poor customer service, especially for a restaurant of this reputation. adding to that price is super expensive for the quantity they provide. never returning.
I recently visited Adrak Richmond Hill for dinner. At first I would like to say that the service was really poor. I made a reservation before going there. Nobody was there in the reception area to even greet. Then after taking the order, the first item starter Haryali fish was too salty. Then when main course, nobody even changed the plates. I had to call and then ask them. After main course, no one came even to ask if we want to order dessert. Frustrating, I asked for bill and the bill given to us was incorrect too. In other restaurants, there is a courtesy that once you leave, they say THANK YOU. Here no such gesture. Suggestion is to train the staff that will be helpful for the customers.
Everything was amazing, especially Amritsari fish pakoda. Service was outstanding by Palwinder Singh, very humble and polite. Wonderful experience
The food is good, however, the service is super slow. Order in 1 go else your food will get cold if you order something else in between
Despite this restaurant being highly rated, the food was not anything unusual or really that great. The pricing is pretty high for the portion size. We had the Galouti Lamb Kebab. The portion size was exceptionally small and the kebab had an unusual texture and taste. The paneer dish was so so, nothing unusual despite the server making it out to be a great dish. The butter naan and rumali roti were excellent. All in all the food at Adrak is nothing unusual or that great, for the price.
The food was delicious. Atmosphere is great.
delicious Indian cuisine with rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The restaurant has a warm ambiance and attentive service, making it a great dining choice.
Service is comically bad, food is extraordinarily good. Youll easily forget the disaster scenario that is the service once you finish your meal.
Improvement required in making Naan bread, I found it very chewy
Good and service was 10/10
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Adrak Richmond Hill Indian Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the host, Jessica, whose hospitality set the tone for the evening. Jessicas welcoming demeanor and attention to detail made us feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant is both elegant and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with rich flavors and spices. We started with the Amirstari Fish, which were perfectly crispy and perfectly spiced. For the main course, the Dhaba Chicken was a standout, tender and cooked to perfection, paired beautifully with fragrant Avadhi rice and garlic naan. Jessica s recommendations were spot on, and her knowledge of the menu helped us make excellent choices. Her friendly service and genuine passion for ensuring a great dining experience truly enhanced our visit. Adrak Richmond Hill is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional Indian cuisine and top-notch service. Thank you, Jessica, for making our evening so special!
Classy Dinner Atmosphere. Loved the Vibe.
Everything was excellent. Service, food was delicious, top level decor/ambience.
I loved the food, the service, and the calming atmosphere. I came here with my family for dinner, and we had the greatest time. Our host, Jessica, was so sweet, attentive, and gave us the best suggestions. It was our first time in this restaurant, and everyone ensured that we had a great time.
Amazing place! So tasty!
Delicious food and good service. Highly recommend. Manjit and staff were great !!
Had dinner here and have been here a few times before this. Used to love the food but this time the menu had changed, and prices had increased. It was an already pricey restaurant but now the prices have increased even more, and the quality has gone down. I was informed they have new staff and have changed the menu to keep up with the Yorkville location. Ordered a butter chicken, lamb curry, naan, biryani and rasmalai and tea. The lamb did not have much meat in it. Butter chicken was far too sweet and also had minimal amounts of meat in the dish. Quality was mediocre but the staff were nice. Unfortunately I wasn t happy with the food and used to love it before the changes were made. They need to make some better changes and drop prices as I don t think business will continue to flourish with the new changes. Bring back the old menu, change portion sizes as well please.
The service team is absolutely amazing. Food matches. Great experience, we will be back.
A wonderful experience. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was polite and attentive. Highly recommended.
Great ambience . Excellent food . Very good service !
Service super slow! Ambience peaceful. Food okayish!
The food is good and the service is good the staff is so helpful and the manager is so good and helpful. This is my go to place and my favourite restaurant. I recommend this to everyone craving Indian food
The best Indian food restaurant we have tried in the GTA. First, you can tell the ingredients and spices are very fresh which give their food a very exquisite taste. Also the menu has a very nice variety of dishes. Among our favourites ones: Thalis, Lamb Roghan Josh and Saag Paneer. Totally recommended. UPDATE: we just had lunch today and I can say that these guys strive for high quality. Again, the food is very delicious and the staff very professional and friendly. 5 stars ! UPDATE: Food still is stellar as always. This is by far our preferred indian food restaurant.
This is supposed to be a high class restaurant so I will give the review holding them to those standards. Items we ordered: Spicy Tandoori Chaap, Paneer Tikka, Papad Basket, Salad, Butter Chicken, Kadhai chicken, Malai Kofta, and Garlic Naans. The spicy tandoori chaap was not spicy at all. For an Indian restaurant who claims to serve authentic flavours, your spicy food should be slightly spicy and flavourful. There was no flavour to the chaap as well. The Malai Kofta was so mediocre for the price they charge. The gravy of the Malai Kofta was clumpy and very heavy. They act fancy by putting silver on the koftas but the flavour is what matters!!! Very bland and I couldn t tell if the gravy was worse or the koftas. The paneer tikka had good flavour but it was just a regular old paneer tikka you can find at any restaurant. Nothing special but nothing bad. Butter chicken was extremely generic. A whole bunch of sweet tomato gravy and cream but it lacked any depth of flavour, texture, presentation . You can buy a butter chicken like theirs at any Indian restaurant in the GTA. Kadhai Chicken was flavourful and for sure the best of the worst but it did end up being slightly oily. Garlic naan had LITERALLY a few drops of butter. Even the worst Indian restaurants will butter your naan and add decent amount of garlic. For $5 per naan I expect some butter. The papad basket was fun shareable appetizer but why was their chaat masala on one basket and nothing on the other basket??? Some pieces were under cooked and hard and the ones that were cooked left so much oil on your hands. How does a 4-5 star restaurant mess up papad??? As for the service, the waiter was great but one of the servers asked us to tell HIM the name of a dish 5 times .. how does your staff not know your own menu?? When it came to pay our waiter stood 2 inches beside me and hoovered over me to almost force a tip. She was watching me put my credit card pin into the machine. There was no privacy at all, not even an attempt to give us some space. It s ridiculous to actively try to hide your banking pin from a server who is grilling you make the payment. Overall we spent around $400 for 6 adults without drinks or dessert. Extremely overpriced food and overhyped restaurant. Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options but nothing unique. Most options are paneer but they do have a few dishes such as daal and okra. Nothing crazy. Parking: We had no trouble finding a parking right outside the restaurant. Perhaps because we went at lunch time on a weekday. Wheelchair accessibility: There s a ramp to enter the restaurant right by the main doors. However I don t remember seeing automatic doors which might be a problem for some.
You guys really need to get on the floor to save this place and your brand and reputation. Clearly you guys act so pricey with yorkville location. Makes sense coz you deliver the experience there. But this place really need your attention. If you want to keep the place as it is then please change the name.
Food was 10/10. Out of my 19 years of being Indian this is the best Indian food I ve ever had.
Everything was perfect!
I am not suppose to say anything here neither interested as they spoil the night but still want to reflect I didn t have food and there is reason behind it that s my friends birthday and the owner owns the policy that people should not being cake from outside the menu is changed even there was no one the whole restaurant .although it s not the fault of staff thy are doing there job I do respect this but they should stop this business and sit at home That s the worst place to go I would suggest better to go anywhere else
The food was nothing id walk across the street for I can make better butter chicken at home. The service is so slow who hired such lazy employees who do nothing it s almost like this place has no management.
Tried this place today, food was good. Special mention for virgin mojito (must try) made by Ravindra sharma with fresh ingredients instead of flavors. It is a Great place & good atmosphere.
This restaurant offers some of the most authentic Indian food Ive tasted in Canada. The Rumali Roti was exceptional the best Ive had here. The spice level was perfect, and the Sabzi was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the creative cocktails, which boasted bold flavors and a noticeable presence of alcohol (a plus for me!). I will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
Excellent food. Good service. Great taste. Best Indian food in North America
One of the best Indian restaurants in the area! Food is extravagant and so is the price!
Food taste is average. Good service. As per taste of food and atmosphere its way too expensive.
Best Indian restaurant I ve been to in the GTA. Highly recommend the Raan E-Sikanderi, butter chicken, and Dahi Puri. Their meets are halal, which is amazing
Above average food for above average price. Nice atmosphere but in a remote location. Service was slow but courteous
Excellent food, fabulous appetizers and main courses! The food you get is definitely worth the prices. Vegetarian options: Great variety!
It tastes good. It s Guizuo Xiaoxiao.
We had the pleasure of having our wedding dinner at Adrak. Manjit, the restaurant manager, took such amazing care of our event and spared no detail. From the planning to the actual dinner, Manjit and the team made sure everything went flawlessly. The food was amazing. We had the aloo tiki, malai chaap, chicken tikka, fish pakora, shahi paneer, tawa mixed veg, butter chicken, and lamb curry. The bar was fully stocked and they made some amazing cocktails like their mango mojito, lychee martini, and a lavender cocktail. My entire family has been raving about the food, drinks, and the top notch service we got here. I highly recommend Adrak for all your events and dining! Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options! The malai chaap as an appetizer is highly recommended! Dietary restrictions: We had two people with nut allergies. The restaurant made special meals specifically for these two guest and were equally as amazing!
Saw a differential and discriminatory treatment towards Indian customers. Food was good but the service was pathetic. Never going back to the place again. Food was decent but the service is very very slow which would ve sense if it was busy but the place was literally empty and the food is definitely overpriced. Definitely hated the service and would ve given dissatisfied if i could. They did not care if we liked the food or if there is anything else needed. They filled half of our glasses in the beginning and did not care to even fill up the water. The waiter was asking if she could clear the table WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR THE REST OF THE FOOD TO ARRIVE. We asked to pay for the bill and the manager did not tend.
My first experience at this restaurant, amazing! The food, staff and the ambience was top notch. Jessica, our hostess made sure we are comfortable. We order dal makhni, bhindi and masala fries. Bhindi hands down the best out of all. Special mention to Lucy, our server!
Completely forgot all of our orders and tried to make an excuse that their printer was broken when every table that came after us got all their food. After they realized they made a mistake the food still took another hour to come which we told to cancel as we were fed up of waiting. Do they comp or even offer anything for such horrible service ? Nope. Had to keep asking for water, utensils and basic things. Absolutely horrible. All they said to us was so sorry I promise this won t happen again next time. Why would we want to come back ? 0/5 Extremely unreasonable pricing for such mediocre tasting food .
We visited Adrak in Richmond Hill for Fathers Day. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. We got there and after all of our party showed up (on time for our reservation) it took a while for the servers to take our drink orders. It was not busy at all! We finally ordered our food. We ordered all of the food without cilantro due to an allergy. They forgot and had to go back to get it without. Finally got the food and one roti was missing. We ordered the kadhai paneer which was the one dish everyone enjoyed, dal makhani which was fine and a fish curry which was not flavourful at all. They forgot to bring out our eggplant dish and when they did, they brought it with cilantro. We reminded them again that we needed without. We saw through the open kitchen window that they scraped it off the top. This is very dangerous for anyone who is allergic (to it as it could create a severe reaction). We sent it back and cancelled it. For a restaurant this pricey this was not worth it and the service was sub-par.
Okish food not worth the hype. The food is average and first time they served us cold appetisers which had to be sent in for atleast warming it up. So not happy.
Really expensive. Food was pretty good but there are better places that cost less
This was my first time visiting. The food was delicious.tried their butter chicken, rumali roti,a couple cocktails, okra salad, aloo tikki ..dahi poori malai kofta(was a little on a sweeter side), dal tadka it was pretty tasty the atmosphere was very nice the service was a little slow would give that a 4.5..overall a very good first experience cheers to the kitchen team(the chefs)
This place was good when we visited few months back but in our last visit last week the quality is not the same as earlier along with the service quality. Management needs to look into this and train the servers as required. Over wall food prices are on the higher side as compared to other Resturants but the quality is not.
This is my second time ordering from here. This time I ordered samosa chaat and malpua with rabri, but since malpua was not available i got a replacement - chose gulab jamun. I loved the chaat and gulab jamun. Im honestly very happy this time.
I hosted my baby s second birthday. We had almost 20 people at dinner. I have had lunch and dinner before from Adrak before but in small quantity. Well the quantity didn t matter.wether it is for 2 or 20 people, the taste was amazing. Everything was super delicious and everyone enjoyed the food so much. Actually the quantity does matter and the food I received was more than enough and we had no doubt that we would run out of food. Now comes the packaging. The food was so tightly sealed that not even a single drop spilled from the time we pick up to the time food was served on the table. So Thankyou Jesica for taking my order in such a short notice and making everything look so amazing.
Great ambience...one of the best restaurant in all over GTA...got opportunity to have lunch there with friends.....it was really amazing service...... thankyou Adrak...
The food is okay, okay. Service is very slow.
We were there for my birthday dinner. Food was below the expectation. Service was very slow and staff were not friendly. They dont treat all the customers equally. When we were there, they had another big table of 20 people. All the managers and other staff busy attending them only. We had to ask everytime when we wanted something. Adrak not recommended at all. Money waste and spoiled our birthday dinner night.
This is by far the best Indian restaurant my family and I have gone. My dad who works in the hospitality industry, usually is not a fan of eating out. He commented the food was flavourful and amazing. Each dish had its own unique taste, the naan was served nice thin and very fresh! We really wanted to speak to the chef to say thank you, but due to Mother s Day being tomorrow the kitchen was busy and we weren t able to. In the end my family wanted to take a picture outside of the restaurant and Navdeep came out and took a few pictures for us! Overall highly recommend! 10/10
I booked table in advance gor Sunday Mothers day. walking were getting good tables and we got table right beside bar where all the server bother us and can not even seat properly. very poor management and there is no point to book table in advance.
An ordinary restaurant with very extraordinary prices . Food was lukewarm and ordinary. we had to call waiter again and again for service, even though the restaurant was less than half full.
Superb taste and service
Worst food. Dont know how its 4.3 stars on google. Manager also very rude.
We group of six friends went for the dinner I would say worst Indian food I had in Toronto. Wondering how they ended up with this good ratings. Those who wanna try India food I would suggest to try some other restaurants not this. Complete waste of money and time. Also the staff specially the host is very rude and have a kind of attitude thats very bad towards customers. I would have given 0 if it was on scale of 0-5.
Food was very good. Great service. Will come here again.
Server Moaiz and Manager Ravi were terrific interms of service excellent and good food. Cant wait to comeback
Very very tasty Great service Food
The food was amazing, one of the best indian foods we had. Manjit and the rest of the servers were amazing, and made sure that our group is well taken care of.
Perfect
The food was decent but not worth the price. The price is so unreasonable and the quality of the food was horrendous. We brought a cake to celebrate a birthday, but they didn t allow it. We understood and gave them the cake expecting we ll be able to order one. They claimed we could order a cake at the restaurant, but at the end when we were ready to order the cake they had nothing in stock. Overall an extremely disappointing experience.
Pricey but very tasty food. Would absolutely recommend and go back for more. Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options. It is Indian food after all so this is never an issue. Food : 5/5 |
Food was nice and the service was exceptional, especially from Aman and also she gave us a good table. I am definitely gonna go back there.
By far the best Indian foods I ve had in Canada. We ordered a variety of food, and they were all great. Manjit was helping us we found him to be very helpfully l and provided an excellent service. I highly recommend this place, and I will be visiting this restaurant frequently in the future. Vegetarian options: They have a excellent variety of vegetarian food
I discovered this restaurant by doing a Google search for Markham restaurants serving roasted lamb. Adrak appeared in the midst of numerous Greek restaurants. Reservations are recommended but they were able to accommodate us at a table near the door. I ordered the slow-roasted lamb meant for sharing and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his roasted eggplant dish and his portion was also generous. Our server, Anan, was very attentive as the lamb takes 45 minutes to cook. If it took that long, it didnt feel like it and the ambience was lovely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant at this location.
If you want to have an experience where you want to feel that you would be pressured to order food this is the place! Food is average and expensive for bloody no reason! I have no bloody problem is paying more but not at the cost of getting forced to order! Staff was good except manager! Disappointed
Adrak Richmond Hill exceeds expectations. Attentive service guides you through their inventive menu. The food itself stuns with vibrant colors and takes classic Indian dishes to new levels. Every bite is a burst of flavor, perfectly balanced by cool chutneys and raitas. Its not just a meal. Its a culinary journey.
We really enjoyed the food.! And Aman was so sweet with us. She s taking care about everything. Vegetarian options: We tried spicy chaap, Kadai paneer it was so delicious I just loved it.!
Service was very professional and made us feel welcome. Definitely a standout. I appreciate that the server would continually keep our glasses topped up with water. The food itself was good. Most notably, the blend of textures in the Dahi Puri was excellent. Also really loved the rich flavours of the lamb curry. Only con was prices were a bit high for what you get compared to other Indian restaurants Ive tried. This is not due to prices of mains being unreasonable, but the cost of add-ons that build up. $8 for water (unless you specify tap instead of still), $12 for a bottle of beer, $6 for a side of jasmine rice. If you are in Richmond hill looking for more upscale Indian dining, I would recommend giving it a try.
Amazing food and hospitality. Navdeep served well, kudos.
Very good restaurant
Excellent Indian food.
I ate food here. Few things noticed that at the time.e of reservation I was told that if I cancel my reservation there will be $10 per person charge as cancelation fee.At the same time I was told there will 15% gratitude I must pay. I personally dont like the way things are been enforced. We ordered their Raan E Sikandari and I was very disappointed its the worst think you can waste your money. it costs $65 and its extremely bad. Other items were not good as well. I end up paying $480 for 10 people and I regret that I went there. I would have eaten much better at a much lower cost.
The Adrak Team - Aman, Krunal, and Ravinder Sharma - are extremely courteous, prompt, and considerate. The dishes are made fresh, tasty, and hygienic. Whether you dine in or take out the food doesn t become stale and it stays afresh and tasty. Adrak restaurant is nice and a must visit place to relish North Indian food at Richmond Hill, Markham, Toronto, Canada.
The place is easy to missing when driving by, worth a visit though. It is on the fine dining side of Indian food. The dishes have a more refined presentation and taste(as a non-indian). The decor is more upscale and the service matches the elevated expectations. Recommendations by the waiter was also solid. Overall, not cheap but you get what you are paying for.
Adrak is a fine eating establishment for those looking to eat Indian food. There are plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options available for all. I recommend the daal makhani with the garlic Naan as its very filling. The other two dishes I tried were the saag and the kadhai paneer, which were decent but not as flavourful as Id hoped. The vegetarian cutlets are a good appetizer for those looking to share. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetation options available cooked Indian style Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian available. You can ask to remove nuts from some dishes.
Bad food Good service and ambience Food
Extremely disappointing. The only reason we did not say anything when we were there is because we didn t want to ruin our friends birthday. The food was not good and appetisers were stale. The service was really bad even though there was no one else in the restaurant. Save your money and go anywhere else.
We went for a birthday dinner, expecting good service and tasty food at a nice restaurant. We spent $813.00 for absolutely terrible experience. Unfortunately, the food wasnt fresh at all, their veggie platters are WAYY overpriced for what you get and it took a long time to get served. We were the only customers/table in entire venue, we had to ask someone to seat us down Some menu items were also unavailable. Very disappointing and will never comeback.
Navdeep is the greatest worker and made my experience amazing
The food was delicious and the service great. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a wonderful Indian and Indian fusion meal.
Try both varieties of their old fashion cocktail. Food is outstanding.
DELICIOUS FOOD, FAST SERVICE by MOHIT. TWO SUGGESTIONS: APPETIZER QUANITY IS SMALL, NEED SOME SOFT BACKGROUND MUSIC. OVERLL A++. MUST VISIT AND ASK FOR MOHIT SERVER. CHEERS . Food : 5/5 |
We had a casual dinner with a group of friends. We ordered assorted veggi n non veggi platters to share. Then some curry dishes n rice + naan. Overall the food are ok but not impressive, however, they were a bit too salty n spicy for me. The food temperature were warm not hot. I find the assorted platter appetizer are pricey . The best we had were Naan. Saffron rice was pretty dry. This restaurant is good for big group, plenty of space. Busy n cozy!
The food was amazing. Best indian food Ive had so far.
Food is awesome and the taste is great.
Great food and service
Best Indian food I ve ever had. We love coming to this restaurant. It s also very classy and has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
My experience at Adrak was exceptional! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic Indian flavors that left me craving for more. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured that every need was met promptly and with a smile. I highly recommend Adrak to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience filled with great food and excellent service. Cant wait to visit again!
Clean, fun and delicious! Incredible service and great places to have business lunch meetings!!
The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars was the food. Aside from that, this visit was the worst experience I ve had. I ve been to this location multiple times, and never had any complaints. That being said, this time around was different. The service is absolutely terrible. I ve never been to a place that refuses customers when there is multiple tables and reservations available. We were denied, left, and then noticed on Open Table there was multiple time slots available to dine. We ended up driving back to the restaurant, and were seated at our table. I can t even say that this place has service because there was none whatsoever unless you wave someone down. I m not sure if this was a discrimination issue, but I was taken back. That being said, the food is a 10/10 and the only reason I would ever come back..
Food was bland. Rasamalai/rabri was bland. I have never have a dessert from any restaurant that s bland. Paid $160 for garbage food.
We are vist Tuesday for dinner date night . Food was okay ..we ordered soya chap was awesome bangan bhartha and saag Adrak so good ..my wife favorite restaurant in Richmond hill..that day our 1st marriage anniversary we are celebrate there .. staff was so good very polite.
Very friendly and profesional service.
Awesome experience! I had a great lunch in this classy restaurant. Food is absolutely good, including a variety of spices and herbs. Also, thank you so much for the delightful surprise birthday dessert.
This was one of the best dining experiences I ve had! Me and my girlfriend came in for diner service both very hungry and tired. When we walked in we were greeted pleasantly and sat immediately (we had no reservation). The interior of the building was jaw dropping, so pretty. The chairs were very comfy and the tables had a lot of space. The drink menu offers a lot of really interesting recipes. I had the lala lassi, and it was amazing. It was already a great start to our experience and it got better when we got our food. The restaurant offers an amazing collection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food so the menu is very accommodating to all people. I got the rara lamb curry and my girlfriend got the tandoori chicken. Both easily 10/10 meals. The lamb I can attest that this is the best lamb curry I ve had, blowing number two on my list out of the water. The tandoori chicken was fabulous and my girlfriend gave so much praise about the food during our meal. I on the other hand could not compliment it as much, as my mouth was always full. We will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu! Can t wait to see you again Vegetarian options: So many great vegetarian options
Feb 10, 2024 Called to make a reservation today as I have guests over and after taking my full name and date of birth etc(?? ), the lady asked me to fill out a form in the link she will send, with my credit card to hold reservations. When I asked her why, she said that if you don t show up we will charge $10 per person as a fine!!!. Wow, this is the first time ever I have heard of this and I have been to really high end fine dining restaurants. If you are busy why do you care if someone does not show up? If I am making a call to reserve, why will I not show up? The management needs to review this policy. Will never go here till this policy has changed. ***** 5 yrs ago***** Excellent Service right from the time you make the reservation or walk in. Varun is the Manager and is an excellent host, very friendly & knowledgeable. He and his team look after you and your party as if you are the VIP customer. The servers Bhumik and Rajat are great at treating you throughout your dinner experience. The visual appearance of every appetizer, main course and dessert is 5* quality and has sufficient quantity. The pricing is competitive and market standard. All in all, a very pleasant & delightful experience. A regular visit is warranted to enjoy all the dishes.
Service and food was great. Kush was our server and was very friendly and helpful. Will come again!
Save your money!
Weve been here twice now, because the food was so amazing and delicious. The location is easy to find and beautifully decorated. The service was friendly but after you get served your courses and want another drink, no one comes over to check on you unless you sit in the middle of the restaurant. The management only seems to walk in the middle, central grouping. All the tables that were in the alcove, or against the window or wall were ignored. Ive watched and heard tables beside us trying to wave down someone to get another drink (alcoholic beverage). Then it takes almost 30min before they bring it to you. However when they do, the drinks are so delicious. I hope make this little improvement. Will try downtown location (Michelin rated) to see if there are any difference in the meanwhile.
Dinner resulted in food poisoning next day for me and my partner. Food tasted good but the food quality seems to be below par. Won t go again since I don t want to wake up with stomach pain and burning.
Special shout out to Kush and Ravinder, awesome service and superb professionals, would definitely visit again
We are regulars at Adrak, kababs are the best here of many places we have tried, staff and service are great too. Must try! Definitely recommend.
Ambience was good with good food. Prices are little more than average indian restaurant in GTA. Food
Food is okay, garlic naan is not made in tandoor. Overall, over priced food. Urban Maharajas is a better experience and restaurant
The food is good but the service is extremely bad. I am not sure why the restaurant is priced so much when there is no proper service. The menu is quiet ordinary, nothing new in it.
Food was decent but the service is damn slow and the food is way overpriced. Not sure why the staff/manager gave my wife an earful when I went to smoke outside, even though i went pretty far away from the restaurants parameter as if it was any of restaurants business. I already had that conversation with the manager before i went outside and i totally understood his point and thats why i decided to go far away from the restaurant but they still said some stuff to my wife when i went outside which i really dont appreciate. I wonder if they would have done that with customers from a different ethnicity, like how smoking a cigarette in an outside open space 50 m away from the restaurant is any of the managers concern. Saw a little differential and maybe discriminatory treatment towards Indian customers. Food was good but the service was pathetic. Never going back to the place again.
The food was a pleasant surprise. A definite cut above the standard India restaurant. The spices were more interesting, and the quality of ingredients and presentation was noticeably higher.
I came here after I tried the Yorkville one. The food was definitely good however the portion sizes could have been better. The service was good as well. Ambience wasn t bad too.
Best food around the area
Food was excellent. We were charged $20 as a compulsory tip on top of our bill and when asked to server he explained that the reason they charge it because they have to divide this money into equal staff as a tip. Further manager who attended us on arrival saw the cake in our hand and told he will charge $1 extra on our bill for this cake, though this cake was bought buy us. No complain with price or the food as you pay for what you get. Happy about food but this the first time someone us taking forcefully tip from you. Hope management pay their staff well as per price so they dont have to include mandatory tip in the bill. Will refer others for food but please make sure you will charged 12.50% of mandatory tip on top of your bill+ tax. Thanks A deal for excellent food but have to take stars for forcefully till. Let people make their decision, they.might give more tips than you charge in bill.
A restaurant should be about food and service. Although the food had a good taste, the service was lacking and unaccommodating. Such prices comes with high tips; thus we expected a minimum of professionalism.
Very yummy tasty food love it
Excellent foods. Thank you to Navdeep for his suggestions. They were all very delicious.
Extremally disappointed with their staffs attitude and behaviors and Specially the girl who was in green on 31st December 2023. Me and my cousin went to there who came from USA. We got a table at 10:15 so we quickly gave our order and the person who took our order said KEEP THE ONE MENU IF WE NEED TO ORDER ANYTHING FOR LATER. When we called the Lady who was in GREEN to order Just 2 extra Naan and she said that The kitchen is closed and We cant get anything in VERY RUDE tone. When I said that No one informed us that Kitchen going to close and I also mentioned that the person who took the order told us to KEEP THE MENU TO ORDER LATER. When I asked for manager and explained the whole situation, He said that he cant do anything even as a manager which DOES NOT MAKE A SENSE. Later on, he offered us that He can provide us A Steamed Rice as we dont have any other option so I agreed to his option. We waited for more than 30-40 minutes but Steamed Rice did not get served at our table and our food was getting colder. During that time, we noticed that except our table every other table getting food from the kitchen. I wonder that IF THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED ALREADY THAN HOW WAS OTHER PEOPLE GETTING FOOD.? I would strongly recommended that DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AT ALL. They do not know How to behave with their customers either How to make the customer happy..
Food is delicious Service is great A little expensive However, ambience is lovely Rumaali Roti, Baingan ka Saalan and Tamarind Soda is worth trying
Prices were very high compared to other Indian restaurants in Toronto
Extremely overpriced for slightly above average Indian food. Not to mention they are hit or miss when you call them. Tons of better options for Indian food in Richmond Hill and the GTA.
Paid 145 for a food that barely was enough for 2 people. Ordered a non vegetarian Platter and a chicken Biryani. This is stealing people money in daylight. Truly disappointed. Not to mention, giving us the worst spot while the restaurant is empty...
Im shocked. the food the service was just so bad. servers and manager had attitude. small portions. overpriced. manager has anger issues. servers dont care. they also add a mandatory tip to each bill.
I had dinner, rice looked to be 2 days old, kofta was very soft and curry sucks, Chicken was flooded with oil. I was told that downtown place had good food and i wanted to try.Prices suck too.Service was ok but no one to advice on quantity. Will never go back as even location is poor. Lastly there was all garbage under the table and dirty plates on side tables. Vegetarian options: kofta was not eatable
We have been to Adrak a few times now and have had a great experience each time. The staff are attentive and the food is excellent. The Malai Kulfi is outstanding, a must try.
The food taste is little above average but the quantity is way too less as compared to typical Indian standards. Overpriced and definitely understaffed. That s why the bad service. I feel bad for the staff and don t really blame them for the rudeness as they are fatigued. One person is serving four five tables. The managers seemed unhappy and just doing the job . You hardly see any server on the floor who is willing to make an eye contact, either they are walking in or out of the kitchen and don t want any more requests. Even if you need a glass of water, it might take different hand gestures and good luck to get someone to you. You don t deserve this service when you are dining in and paying higher price and further a gratuity. I have been here many times and funny enough never found paper towels or tissues . It s clear the Management is stingy and only interested in making profits. Bad business style ofcourse because they will lose guests this way. Better make it a take away place as that s what you are spending in staff expenses and don t value customer satisfaction. I am not coming back here again!!
Great experience, great staff and best test of food. Specially Sir krunal was way humble towards customers and we loved it.
Visited Adrak and was thoroughly impressed! The ambience created a wonderful atmosphere, the food was delectable, and the entire team, with a special shoutout to Kunal, provided excellent customer service. A must-visit for a delightful dining experience!
i visited adrak restaurant today. Miss aman has treated us well. food is too delicious.
Food was fabulous and our server made some great recommendations and seemed to know the menu very well.
Had a wonderful dinner at Adrak. Bathroom situation could be better as it is looks like they share it with the rest of the building. Place to share food rather than getting your own meal. Food
Excellent service by Aman and Ravi! Amazing food and overall experience Food
Hopeless food and quality - naan was not cooked at all and when I requested them to replace it it took 30 minutes and by that time food was cold and non eatable. If someone can avoid don t go and waste money - it s Indian food for Canadian who don t know real taste. Vegetarian options: Not good looking food and taste also hopeless for the price they charge.
Best food
Good Indian food same like Indian style like it
Food was pretty decent, but very overpriced. I get that it is on the higher end so prices are reflective of that but I think charging 7 dollars for water is a bit crazy.
It was awesome experience we went for my husband s birthday dinner everything was so perfect Manjeet was amazing he did special dessert with candle and birthday day song thank you Manjeet
Very good food. The butter Naan was soft and amazing. Not often you get this in any restaurant in GTA. Loved thr Kadai paneer.
decent food and great ambience
We went last Sunday for a birthday dinner, we were given a table right at the entrance by the host, we asked to be seated inside and host refused, said all tables taken, they were empty even after we left, had a table facing emergency exit looking at the wall and side station, getting the cold draft everytime somebody entered the restaurant. The service poor had to call the waiter to order beverages. Food below average kofta was mushy, and Afghani chicken was not the original recipe. Items pricey for quality and service. Nothing great and a below average experience that lacked ambiance. Will not be going back for sure!!!
Drove all the way 100km - just waste of time. Dont even deserve 1 star
Food was really nice, but in terms of service, I wish had a minus option. Servers were so rude, no one was approaching us for even water Being Indians, servers were biased to us ( not asking us how was the food, serve with a smile), however they did the opposite to us. We purchased a gift card of 150 cad, for wich my sister never got a confirmation. HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED !!
