October 27th, 2021 Update. Now Re-opened! Our recent dining room and kitchen renovations are now complete. Come and check out the freshly updated Nonna's Oven Richmond Hill.
Portions if you look at the pictures are very generous this guy ordered the panzarotti which is about the size of my head. And the girls that work there are extremely welcoming both on the phone when we had some questions and when we showed up in person. Once we got there it's a very comfortable feeling and the food went along with the atmosphere very very good.
Delicious pizza & wonderfully lovely service… all in all a great dine-in experience. We’ll be coming back, and cannot wait! 🍕
Amazing pizza! Calamari is so good! Tiramisu is wonderful. Service is so friendly. Nice atmosphere. I recommend for dining in and for takeout.
A nice family Italian restaurant, featuring mostly pizza & pasta & Italian sandwiches, extremely large servings with home cooked atmosphere, very busy at meal times with quick turn-around times, very popular with take outs, tasty fresh pipping hot pasta & pizzas, efficient service by helpful staff.
We were looking out for a place for good Italian restaurant and found this gem . The food tasted sooooo good , the pizza and the saturday special some sea food pasta in tomato garlic sauce was just fabulous. Had a lovely time .
Always receive such amazing service. The food is so fresh and tasty. Portions , especially for the pasta are very generous. Pizza was incredible as well. Some of the best calamari I’ve ever had.
The best Italian food near me. Love their pastas and pizzas. Recommended 😊
Felt very homey and very tasty! The panzerotti was huge and the dough was so soft and chewy - I could eat it all day! The pasta special for the day was also delicious.
Food is so so
Good food terrible service and the hours of operation seem to be optional.
The best place ever, everything is really clean and delicious, and the owners are strict in maintaining food safety and high hygiene. I m proud to work with them, thank you
Delicious food and good service. A nice casual restaurant to bring the family for a home cooked Italian meal. We were hungry so I forgot to take a picture of the meal before we ate. All I have to show for it is a picture of our dirty plates, our receipt and some fond memories.
Perfect place for Italian food. I tried and Alfredo and they were unbelievable yummy. Highly recommended to whom love Italian food. I really want to give them 10 stars
Great pizza, ingredients, and al dente pasta. Overcooked fried calamari, the tiramisu is not the best because not using the best mascarpone cheese. Otherwise efficient service. Got takeout today and spaghetti was just subpar, cheese pizza looked worst than Pizza Hut
Got the Fettucine Della Nonna! Very delicious
Perfect crust
The name says it all
Pizza is always great and the sandwiches are awesome too! L Food
Great food and a must try. If you havent been you have to go.
I have never been disappointed. Portions are good for the price. Vegetarian options: I have ate the eggplant sandwich with the works and that s my go to also the calamari fritti is delicious as well. These plates are Sharable. Food : 5/5 |
$18 for Calamari and I chewed it like it was beef jerky. Literally like chewing on rubber. Pizza was ok. Dont think Ill be ordering from here again. What a bad first time experience.
First time at this restaurant. There was a group of 7 of us. We came on a Saturday for lunch around 3pm. We mostly ordered pizza and a few appetizers. The food was so so but not good value for how much you pay. I had a very bad upset stomach shortly after eating here and couldnt sleep well. They cheaped out on the meat lovers pizza and only put two pieces of sausage on the entire pizza. The olive oil isnt real olive oil but a mix. The worst thing was the service though. Our waiter was very indifferent. Hardly came over to see if we needed anything. Hard to track her down and just didnt seem like she wanted to be there. This is my first and last time at Nonnas Oven. I wont be coming back. There are better places to eat where you get more value for your money.
Everything Ive ever ordered here was absolutely phenomenal. I tried the shrimp risotto for the first time yesterday and it was the best Ive ever had. 10/10 would come back every time
Overpriced, loud fast food type atmosphere with slightly above average pizza. I wouldnt recommend it and I wont return.
Great food and service! Will definitely come back
Refused to support a simple catering request with 24 hours notice despite the website clearly stating only 24-48 hours needed for catering.
Had the cherry turnover which was ok. Next time will try the pizza
This place never disappoints. Food is always incredible. Large portions. A bit pricy but at least the quality is amazing!
Food is delicious. The ravioli bolognese is simply amazing and the portion size is huge. Excellent value for the money. The meatballs are also fantastic here, probably the best Ive ever had at a restaurant. Service is fast and friendly, great for a family dinner.
I want to thank the wonderful staff and great chef for just one of the most amazing homemade foods . The staff was amazing when I came and two wonderful amazing ladies welcomed me and were very pleasant to speak to !! THE PIZZA AND CHICKEN SANDWICH WAS AMAZING!!! This was my first time there, and when I travel that way, I will always stop in for lunch !!! THIS LOCATION is truly a class act of a family style restaurant!!! WELL DONE !!! KEEP IT UP !!!!! Dal !
Food and service was good, I would not get the panzerotti, get the pizza it taste much better
Nonnas Oven offered a great dine-in experience. The homemade lasagna was rich and flavorful, while the fettuccine pasta was perfectly al dente with a creamy sauce. A satisfying meal in a cozy setting.
Good pastas
Great Italian restaurant!!!
Food was ok. Service was non-existent after we received our food.
Love Nonnas. Great fresh pizza, delicious pastas and my favorite: the Sandwiches. Highly recommended as a casual Italian eatery.
Delish piping hot food!
Had 2 bites of their sausage panzerotti and realized the inside was not very cooked. Still unmelted cheese. Sausage looked barely warm. Had to open it up and re-bake. Next day got extremely ill with stomach pains.
Good Italian meal
Visited here last week with office colleagues. Ordered pizza, its was indeed delicious and have unique Italian taste. Love it! Food
Perfectly fine Italian restaurant here in Richmond Hill. Not blow your socks off good anymore compared to how it was in the past, but certainly not a bad choice if youre craving Italian food!
very expensive, Front cashier is kind mean! and protion is very small!
Terrific pizza toppings and crust and not ladened with cheese and sauce ... just the right amount! Select a salad and it was a perfect meal for 2 to share. We ate in. The service was quick and friendly. Well definitely return!
Amazing, just amazing.. a must try
Over-salty, overpriced and poor customer service. Never get back. Would not recommend it! Don t waste your money.
Delicious pizza and meat balls! The lasagna was a little too soft, but we devoured it anyways. The panzerotti is a folded pizza which was unique to us. I would definitely come here again.
Went in for a couple of drinks and some food. We couldnt have been more ignored despite it being 5pm and nobody in the place. The lady served us with a grunt...had 2 beers and left. Went to Korean place next door BAP.ZIP....and glad we did. It was awesome.
Pizza is so delicious same as the pasta but they could include more parmesan cheese which is very little
High quality cuisine, casual atmosphere. Amazing pizza
One of the best chicken Parmesan sandwiches I ve ever had. Chickens crispy tomato sauce, amazing perfect amount of cheese.
Authentic Italian food. Great service. There are too many options.
Good food! Pizza was awesome!! The only item I think wasnt great was the truffle fries it had a honey drizzle which isnt something I expected from a savory dish.
The food is mediocre at best, pasta was undercooked and no flavor in the sauce. The sandwiches were bland and seemed old. Definitely not worth the $20 price tag each at all. Will never come back here.
I ve been here a number of times over the years and overall it s a good meal. I usually get a salad, pizza and pasta that we share amongst the family. Everyone enjoys all aspects.
Overall good food! The meals are typically $20+ but the portions are quite large. The pizzas are loaded with toppings and the pasta is always cooked perfectly. Great variety as well.
Their Margherita is just phenomenal, We landed their looking for an authentic pizza and this place exceeded our expectations. We also tried the affogato which was great.
I asked for sauce and extra sauce they said ok this is what i got
I love Nonnas Oven! Every time Im in town visiting my parents I make sure to stop at this little gem for a bite. Unlike many other establishments, their food quality and quantity has remained consistent throughout the years. Everything Ive tried there has been amazing. My go to is the veal sandwich, calamari, and arancini balls.
This is one place that has been very consistent over the years. Highly recommend the Arugula & Pear salad and the Steak Sorpresa.
Cozy little restaurant, really good food, friendly services, reasonable prices. Will definitely come back.
Amazing food an great service absolutely loved my pasta.
Decided to try a new spot for a veal sandwich. This place blows away California sandwiches!!!. I ordered the steak sandwich (on left) and a veal sandwich with peppers. Its not with a traditional bun, made with homemade focaccia. First bite...amazing! Steak was great, very tasty. Took a bite of the veal and it was tender, delicious. Not alot of sauce but, you cant have sauce with the fresh bread. The Focaccia was key, delicious and soft, very original. Price was a little high but, the sandwiches are huge with tons of meat and toppings. What a huge surprise. We have a new spot now. Thanks chef! Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options. Parking: Lots of free parking
The ravioli tastes like wastes remade with some old tomato sauce. Don t get it.
best pizza ive ever had .
I paid over$ 30 for a calzone (they call it something else I forgot) super disappointed its pretty much empty with barely any cheese or anything at all other then dough If for 10$ I get a better one at Pizza Pizza, I would expect much better result for a 30$ in a restaurant
Great food. Simple, clean, and great service. Great portion size for the price. I would come here again.
One of my favourite local pizza joints. Can t say that I have tried much besides their pizzas. Ordered the Firenza and Meatlovers Pizza, this time. The Firenza is my favourite. The Meatlovers is a bit salty, in my opinion, but my partner loves it. I usually order it to go, so cannot comment on service. Not much of an atmosphere, but cozy and welcoming family restaurant.
Great Margharita pizza
Updated in Feb 2024: My family has been going to Nonnas Oven for about 11 years. Pre-pandemic it was easily one of our top 3 favorite family restaurants in Markham/Richmond Hill/Stouffville. The food had big portions, the food was delicious and it had affordable pricing. The service was great and the restaurant was always packed. Any time we wanted to go to Nonnas we usually planned ahead of time so we could eat at 5:30pm just to beat the dinner crowd. Post-pandemic, the prices have gone up. A meal for 4 will cost you around $100 (from $60 pre-covid). But were talking about really yummy pasta and pizza here. For the same price at East Side Mario, Nonnas is way better deal and better food. They recently brought back table service as things are going back to normal, and Nonnas is nearly back to their original charm. Were sad to see our favorite Pasta Germaia gone from the menu but the Penne Alla Vodka is still a must-have, as well as the Fantasia Pizza.
Food prices on their online menu are not up-to-date, probably pre-Covid pricing... so I was surprised when we sat down and took a look at the menu. However, understanding the state of the world and post-Covid prices... we stayed to eat nonetheless. The food was pretty good. The service was nothing to write about, more like fast-food service (Wendys or McDonalds). My sons enjoyed their meal but found it expensive. 1 adult, 2 kids; we had 3 pasta plates at $23 apiece, an entrée salad $16.50, after taxes and tip the total was $110. Well probably go back... just not right away. 3.5 stars
Absolutely delicious food like Ive never tasted before. The restaurant is not very crowded so the dine-in experience is quite enjoyable fresh and tasty as well as great service. I would go back everyday if I could, highly recommend Nonnas Oven! Vegetarian options: Substituting meat for veggies is available for almost every option
Tonight we decided to pick up dinner. Richmond Hill has lost California Sandwiches and Andolini s so let s give this place a try. We ordered veal sandwiches which should have come with a salad but they didn t. The sandwich consisted of focaccia with a thin slice of veal that had a teaspoon of sauce. Veal sandwich s should have the veal oversize the bread not the other way around. We also ordered fried calamari which were rubbery. Growing up in an Italian home where we still jar our own tomato sauce, I find it hard to believe that this food in being made in Nonna s kitchen. This was definitely a first and last time.
My new spot for thin crust pizzas! Also their pasta portions are big! We had the spaghetti with meatballs and the spicy pasta with sausage! Both delicious.
Been here twice. The pasta is quite excellent, as is their tiramisu. However we found that the pizza is just above average. Now when I say average, my dataset does not include the pizza chains like Pizza Pizza or Pizza Nova, nope! I am talking about gourmet pizza restaurants. I think the mozzarella could be of higher quality, pizza could be a baked for another few seconds. While their tortellini itself was exceptionally tasty, I was sad to see that the grated hard cheese was given in a small plastic box creating unnecessary wastage.
Always yummy
Best panzos in the GTA
My wife bought dinner last night cheese pizza, 2 pasta, 1 chicken, 1 bacon, and rice ball for $130.00. The chicken dish had very little chicken small pieces of chicken the size of a peanut. That was very little, not worth $25.00.
I recently hosted a party and placed a take out order. We placed the order a few days in advance. I ordered the chicken cutlets, penne a la vodka, grilled veggies and a party size pizza. The portions were generous. The food was all packaged very well - didn t leak and containers kept the food warm. We have always visited Nonna s restaurant but this was first take out order. We ll definitely order again.
Chicken arugula salad was good. The atmosphere was wonderful!
Nonna- thank you so much for the effort made to add gluten free crust on the menu. Was thrilled and couldnt wait to try it. The toppings, cheese and sauce were really tasty. Unfortunately the crust was dry and dusty
I really wanted to like it, but pizza crust was disappointing - flavourless, papery; sauce was nice however! The fettuccine nonna was also nothing to write home about. This is not a destination restaurant, if you were thinking of doing so. Also - coffee is that from a Nespresso machine... but they do have brio!
Staff was super-friendly; unfortunately... Strike #1: Pizza had papery, flavourless crust; Strike #2: Espresso machine had an N in front of it; Strike #3: 2.5% surcharge on credit card payments. ... Sorry Nonna, wont be back.
Let me be clear, the only reason this place is popular and has been around this long is because the food is very cheap. The service is terrible and the food is not great. Lately, they have started this new fashion where you pick up the menu at the counter go sit down with it, and then come back up to the counter to order, so it has become a weird self-serve place. The strangest thing is that they have 4 servers just standing around and making jokes. I have tried judging this restaurant fairly for the past 10 years, but, every time I have gone with my family, we are treated very poorly by the staff and the owners. Basically, if you are Indian or dont look a certain way (Hint, Hint...), you will not be treated very kindly at this place. There are SO MANY better places around in Richmond Hill, but as I said, people go here because the food is cheap, that is it.
Salad was bad, pizza doesn t worth the money . Place was Expensive and at least I was expecting delicious food.. never will go there again
Not a fan. Stood in line for 5 or 10 minutes waiting to be seated only to find out you seat yourself. Waited for menus but was told by another table you get your own as well as going back up and getting in line to order. May as well be eating at McDonalds. Gnocchi was pretty much mashed potatoes in tomato sauce. Dont recommend this place. Value for service is not worth the prices. You get better service elsewhere, better food and for the same price.
The veal sandwiches are excellent!
Great food and service
Never returning manager is miserable. Can buy an overpriced pice of lasagna somewhere else.
Best experience of my life they gave me water and poured it with such finesse. Would recommend if you like Italian pizza
Had a lovely work lunch at this little hidden gem. Pizza is a very generous size. Several vegetarian choices and noticed GF crust on menu as well.
awesome food!!! definitely be back soon
Very disappointing! We used to come here often and call it our favorite restaurant. It s no longer the same Nona s anymore. The pasta (ordered Cabonara and Penne) was tasteless. Penne in tomato sauce was literally like mix of broiled penne with a can of tomato sauce, it was very gross for $18. Cabonara was overly oily with no sauce at all. They can even screw up the pizza and calamari you are better off eating frozen pizza and pasta from Costco. Worst $100 spent. Lasagna was not prepared on their promised Friday/Saturday night, but they would sell frozen lasagna to walk-in customers. Don t go there.
Awesome food and a lot of it. You will have enough food for 2 meals almost. The food is delicious.
Had a great experience here. The pizza and pasta are delicious.
I ordered the breaded eggplant sandwich the other day and it was pretty good. It was a heavy meal and to me it was more like a calzone than a sandwich, which I dont mind because I love both. Overall the food was good and Id definitely come back if Im in the area.
Foods are large portions. Need to share or take out. Taste good but not specially delicious. Pay at the counter, server drop off to your table,
Nonnas Oven was soooo good!!! If your looking for good Italian food this is the place to go too. The portions are so big and reasonably priced!! You are definitely leaving this place full!!
Nonnas Oven is my new favourite pizzeria! The pizzas have the perfect crunchy thin crust, and an excellent ratio of sauce to toppings. In fact, the Italiana pizza reminded me of one I had in Italy years ago. Even though the ambiance is nothing too exciting (its casual and clean, though), the service was excellent. Andre was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back.
I had a veal sandwich on a freshly baked rosemary foccacia with a sweet balanced tomato sauce. It was huge, a symphony on the tongue, and very light on the wallet.
Sooooo delicious! I could eat here every day!! :)
I used to come here on a monthly basis. Always ordered the tomato salad as side with carbonara, penne a la vodka, and a pizza. Ever since COVID, their menu has reduced quite a bit, where salads can no longer be made into a side. They also got rid of some dishes I used to order. They also don t have dine in on weekdays anymore, only weekend. Service quality has also declined. They used to be friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Now the servers only come to rush you to get the bill (even though there are barely people in there eating) and they ignore you when you wave at them. Their prices went up quite a bit as well since COVID (although the market has generally gone up so I don t blame them). A pasta is now in the mid $20 and it does not come with any appetizer or sides While ID like to support local business, I don t think I ll visit them as often now because of the lowered quality.
The food here is always perfect, and the servers make you feel at home. Had the bruschetta pizza to start with gnocchi arrabiata and both were simply delicious. See you next time! Update for 2023 - still awesome PLUS now they have a frozen take-away display! Keeps getting better! Thanks Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly
Large portions and great service. Be careful if youre coming for lunch during work. The lines can be long! Order first, sit second.
Been a handful of times because it s one of the few quick Italian sandwich options in the area, especially on Sundays. Before COVID it was a lot better unfortunately for service and food quality. Now for the price I wouldn t recommend it unless it s your only option and I d avoid takeout. Always cold and they usually get something wrong (toppings, etc).
Excellent place
We have worked/lived in the area for 5-6 years, and the food at Nonna s has always been delicious. However, the service over the past 2 years has gone DOWNHILL. As a minority and POC, both my husband and I have noticed that we get treated differently than white customers. Recently we went for dinner and with the employees there is no How are you? , no small talk, and they constantly tried to clear our plates and get us out of there. With white customers, there is a lot of conversation, small talk and generally a much more pleasant demeanor from the employees. Our actual waitress was very pleasant and nice but the entire time, the manager (we think? A slightly older lady) kept trying to rush us. When we weren t really finished, she came over and said grumpily, without a smile Anything else? and proceeded to grab all of our plates, whereas when she approached the other table of four white women, she smiled cheerfully and asked Would you like any ice cream? :D When I was in the middle of packing our leftovers, she kept reaching over to grab our plates as quickly as possible. Overall, the experience was not good. We felt looked down on and DEFINITELY treated differently, there is no doubt about it. It was a super speedy dinner, arrived at around 5:15 and got kicked out by 6:00. This actually happened also a year ago with another waitress, who decided to chat up and serve a table of white customers who came AFTER us, even though we had waited for her to take our order for a good 15 minutes. The restaurant needs to think about the implicit racist bias their employees have and go through some equity training. This type of behaviour and treatment is unacceptable. We won t be coming back.
We ordered a salad, spaghetti carbonara, and 2 pizzas. The salad was just okay, but the carbonara was really good. The pizzas were decent. Lots of toppings, crispt crust with a juicy center. Service was just okay. No one checked on us until we were almost done eating
place has gone down over the years. $47 for this lasagna and an alfredo. serving size is not enough for an adult, alfredo was lacking sauce.
I dont know what happened to this place after they changed owners and renovated. Prices doubled, quality was cut in half, customer service is non existent
Excellent Italian pasta. Staff super friendly. We ll come back for the pizza for sure!
I go here often and everytime the food and experience are great. Food portions are awesome and staff are helpful. You can never go wrong with Nonas oven
Pizza here is phenomenal. If you want authentic, unamericanized Italian pizza, the type of pizza Italians eat, then this is the place. Service was excellent too which can really make or break a place, regardless of how good their food is.
Good pizza one of the better pizza places in the area
Amazing pizza!!! That s all we had and it was delicious and flakey. And I loved the simple and bright seating. Would love to go back soon.
If I could give this place zero stars i would! Worse Italian restaurant i have ever been to. Pizza taste like cardboard, no taste and dry. Service was the worst, served pizza to us, no plates, then she asks did you want plates?. Didnt even check in to ask if we needed another drink. Would no recommend to anyone.
Terrible service, ordered party size pizzas days before and even had to provide credit card information over the phone. When we came to pick up, they missed our order and told us party size pizza needs 24 hrs advance. Bad attitude and offer no help to resolve the situation.
Home meal away from home.
It breaks my heart to read some of these reviews cause it sounds like this place is under some new management that doesnt get what makes a place great and what drew repeat customers. This was my first time here, and if Im craving another sandwich, Ill definitely consider coming back. This is only going to focus on the sandwich, though we did order a few other items. This sandwich has a lot of potential - its massive! The bread they use was fresh, feels homemade, even if its not. The veal, breaded chicken and eggplant were all good - done well, well seasoned, not dry, not overcooked. I got both sandwiches loaded (the works), and that felt a bit skimpy - didnt feel the surcharge warranted the amount of mushrooms, cheese and onion they added. Im sure COVID, increasing food costs, and maybe fewer people eating out hurt the business a little. Its tough. Gotta give em some credit. The sandwich needs a bit more sauce; its well seasoned and not salty, but needs a bit more sauce IMO. The choice of flatbread they use instead of a standard kaiser or focaccia is great! Its not as absorbent, so it doesnt fall apart, and has a nice chew to it. I like it, but perhaps for some they might feel its not right. For the price, I think its fair - since they cut it in half, and most people probably arent going to finish both halves in a single sitting. I was hungry, so I did, and I was stuffed. But it was great! Like I said, the meats good, done well. Theres a little lack of consistency with the meat - the veal was done better than the chicken. The chicken wasnt properly thinned out or even, so you had some really meaty bites, and then you had some bites with little to no meat. The veal was consistent throughout, as was the eggplant. Its still worth it, it could just be a bit better. Parking: Good sized lot, free, no problems.
Nonna s ovens are go to place to eat whenever we are in Richmond Hill. The food is top notch and the portions are big. Almost reminds me of my Nonnas oven. Big place with plenty of seats. Will be coming back whenever we are in the area.
I just order 3 Margherita pizza 3 order of calamari both orders was cold the calamari hard and drying I spend $153 for garbage never again.just disgusting.
I recently went into Nonnas Oven after a recommendation from a family member and I was greeted by Katarina when I first walked in She was honestly so warm and inviting and she gave me many recommendations on what I could possibly order. I ended up getting the genevose Pizza with Margarita rice balls and it was soo delicious! I will be back to see katarina as recommendation we re amazing! Thanks Nonnas s I will be back very soon!
sooo good!
Very good pizza
Large portions. Unfortunately they had no lasagna and out of white wine(except for a chardonnay)
Wonderful neighbourhood gem. Food and service were both fab. Portions were also generous.
Great low key joint for classic Italian pizzas and panzos.
Ahhh-mazing! Highly recommend. Homemade style Italian food just like Nonna makes. Be sure to keep coming back to try everything on the menu! Arancini is so good and the pasta portions are very filling.
Dropped in for dinner on a Sunday evening. The place was quite full, but we were able to get a table with minimal wait. The staff were super friendly and not annoyed when asked questions about the menu due to allergies. Ordered the Carbonara and Boscaiola pizza and both were fantastic. Asked for some chilli oil for the pizza and it was great. Food and service were both amazing. Will definitely go back.
Try the Tiramisu, it is the best
Good foods and services. Dinning room is like canteen. But is bright and clean. Food
That Fettuccine Della Nonna hit the spot after a day of trekking. This is a cozy place to take friends and family and get a delicious oven baked pizza and yummy pasta. They also have vegetarian options. And the dessert, especially the tiramisu, is a must try. Grazie, Nonna. Staffs are friendly, and lots of space for families. I highly recommend.
Great food. Good quantity and portions
Took a bit longer than we expected, however the food is worth the wait. Kid-friendliness: Perfect finger food for kids Food : 5/5 |
This has gone down hill since I visited I was a regular bit the quality has gone down hill They ve systematically reduced items on the menu and the service is slow I do NOT recommend
Ive had a few things here, all good. Penne A la Vodka, Pizza, and friends have had the meatball and veal sandwiches. All good reviews. Great spot for lunch or dinner.
The picture speaks for itself !!!
The first time I went I was blown away by the veal & eggplant parmesan sandwich quite delicious, just needed extra sauce. But the second I went I ended up having a very bland experience with the sandwiches. Our order was one chicken sandwich & one grilled vegetables sandwich. The chicken was very bland. It needed to have garlic & onions to have more flavour. The Ziggys pre-cut chicken I buy in a bag at No Frills, had more flavour! Same with the vegetables they needed added seasoning to be rich in flavour. When we asked for added spice we were given oregano and what seemed like rosemary or thyme.....adding very limited flavour
Place is going downhill. Went there for takeout, pizza was like warm. What made it worst was the 2% service charge for paying with credit card. I know it s only 2% they should just add it to the menu prices. I always pay with credit card and if I have to pay more to use my credit card I would just take my business elsewhere.
The veal sandwich, which I thought we d tried before, was just blah ..very little flavour & barely any tomato sauce on it at all. Bread was nice & fresh, veal was not tough. Maybe someone just forgot to season the meat?
Surprising good Italian food and fast attentive service. Limited menu, but sizeable portions and taste. Gluten free is available too.
Great food!
Amazing food, great service! You must try their canoli for dessert, freshly made...spectacular! Very impressed!
Looking forward to coming back. The food is always fantastic and the staff are professional and friendly.
Great Place for Catering! I ordered a couple of times for different office parties, and the food was fantastic! Great service, flavourful food, packaged nicely and on time! Food portions were perfect! Would definitely recommend it if youre looking to cater!!
Not what it used to be. Pasta is still ok. Gluten free pizza crust which used to be very good is now awful. No plans to go back again. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza is awful.
Bang for your buck
Used to really love this place. Recently went there expecting the same experience weve come to know. Changes to the entire service model was a shock! Basically reduced to fast food joint service. The food was still same quality but this is no longer a restaurant Ill be visiting outside of take out. Not a single employee even asked if we were enjoying the food we pre-paid for. Maybe COVID did a number this business too, but its not the same and I wont be recommending anymore. I can tell you for sure my Nonna would not approve
Pizza very good with lots of fresh toppings . Thin crust pizza just the way I like it .
Expensive, very average absolutely not worth
We use to love this place, unfortunately fell way below expectations and we wont be back, Not the dining experience we were expecting and expensive for the lack of service.
Two of my colleagues and I made a mistake and overestimated how much time we had to eat. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind despite our mistake, and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and authentic Italian cuisine!
I have been a LONG time customer of Nonnas Oven who absolutely loved their wood-fired Margherita pizza, ever-since they opened their restaurant. Their menu has changed and I was advised to order the Mozzarella pizza because it was the same thing, just renamed. IT WAS NOT THE SAME! I was unable to eat it and had to freeze it to feed it to the dog a bit at a time. A once treasured pizza has become garbage. Horrible uniform commercial cheese shreds that dont even melt. Worst pizza I ever tried to eat ... couldnt even finish one slice. I am not returning!
double pepperoni pizza with feta is my personal favorite. the egg rolls delectable as well.
Good pasta and pizza. Servers are friendly. Place order with cashier first and the food will be brought to your table
Gave off a family feel. Nice place to go to and food was excellent. Stone oven pizzas were great and had the meatball appetizer. No problem going back again and again.
Big panzos
1st time visit did only take out. Love the garlic flat bread menu and dishes looks...... so...... good
Arrancini balls, penne vodka, arugala salad. All amazing. Service good.
Really great food and wonderful service. Will 100% be back again!
Really tasty: puzza, soup, coooffeeeee!!! Good atmosphere and service. Thank you Kid-friendliness: High chair
What an amazing find! Casual dining with delicious food . We enjoyed our evening thoroughly and cant wait to go back.
Amazing food!
